Amores Verdaderos #148 Fri 6/7/13 Disney Lili is Gone, Meet The New Embittered Version; Vikki and Anyballs Have a Showdown; Nikki and Frankie Have An Intimate Dinner ; )
Hola, Patio Peeps! This recap will not be in order as usual I have combined some scenes to make the recap more fluid.
Guzmancito, Vikki and Angel
They are still at Pau's talking and Angel informs Guzmancito that he and Vikki are engaged and as soon as Vikki gets divorced they are marrying. Ay Carumba! Guzmancito is happy for them. Now Guzmancito wants to know if Lili and Nikki know about this? Nikki knows but Angel has to find the proper moment to break the news to Lili. Adri even volunteered to talk to Lili. Later, outside of Pau's apartemento Ms Vikki asks if he has given any thought to what the Angel will tell Lili? He thinks it will be hard for Lili to accept this relationship and he is afraid what happened with Frankie and Pau will happen to him and Lili, in other words, no speaking or seeing each other for years!
Meanwhile At Meta Imagen:
FF is still telling Anyballs that Vikki is the amante of the Angel, which begs the question why can't Angel be the lover of Vikki, Hmmm..... anyhoo, FF claims he has a witness in Salsa Dude. He saw it all!!! Ms Vikki isn't the saint she pretends to be. Anyballs doesn't beleive him. FF wants Anyballs to ask Ms Vikki himself, see what she says about that bodyguard!
On The Road With Kendho and Santino:
Now we are on the road with Santino and the Kendho, and she isn't doing too well. The labor pains are killing her and she is demanding her Puchis (Santino) to get ahold of FF. She wants that FF like yesterday! Puchi's calls but FF is in a meeting with Anyballs and can't be disturbed, doncha know. Well Kendho is not liking this one bit! She is really screechy now! He is trying to get there as fast as he can, but there is so much traffic! Kendho is in alotta pain though, that's what she gets for bringing on this labor, jus' sayin'. Puchis is trying to calm her, but there is no calming of the Kendho! She is grabbing Puchis arm and thinks she is gonna die! She so doesn't wanna die! Hmmmm...... Anyhoo, she tells Puchis he is the only man she has ever really loved! He is the only one that ever made her feel special, oh, what craptastic conversation! Besides they had a great time together, si or no. That bebe could have been his! Oh, the horror on Puchi's face. No way that bebe is his. She knows this. He just hopes this poor little bebe doesn't inherit her horrid killing genes, well not that, but you get the drift. She thinks Betty has done something to him. He admits he is trying to be a better person now. Kendho so doesn't like that, no noes! She keeps up the screeching and he tells her to shut it already, or he'll put her out of the car. She tells him to shut up himself. Poor Santino. He can't win for losing!
Disney Lili All Sweetness and Light? Forget About Her! Meet the New Embittered Lili!
Remember the song Cuando, Cuando, Cuando? It is a song about when will you tell me you are mine, that's what Lili has been thinking about Frankie, but pobrecita, that hasn't turned out the way she hoped! She is crying in the Balvanera Manse Greenhouse and talking to Adri. Adri wants to know what is wrong of course. Well, seems Nikki always wins, always! And that is what's wrong! Adri figures out this has to do with Frankie, of course it does. She tells Adri that now Nikki and Frankie are together, they think she is a liar, when Polita actually came up with the lie to start with. Lili even told Frankie that Roy forceably kissed her, now I have to stop a minute, she returned that kiss, whether she wants to beleive it or not, it's just an excuse, jus' sayin'. And Roy is claiming to be in love with Lili. Anyhow, Adri is asks about this forced kiss bidness. So Lili explains the whole Roy dynamic ending with the wedding and how the Angel almost tore him in two. She also tells Adri about Roy marrying Nikki for the dinero. Then she told Roy she was in love with Frankie and that is when he forced kissed her! Her life is crap! Frankie will think she is just a horrible person, but she is still in love with him. Now she has to live her love in silence, a love that just can't be. Cause Frankie is in love with that Nikki chicky! Adri tells her she is young, has many years ahead of her, will meet another guy. Not so for Lili, she feels she is like Adri and that lost love of hers. She's a one man woman. But Adri has some news for her, she might be liking a guy after all. Lili thinks it is her Papa, but Adri sets her straight and tells her no, they are only friends. Then she asks Lili, suppose your Papa found another woman to love. Can't happen according to Lili, the now embittered woman. He better never is basically what she says, cause she can't go for that, no can do!
Tomi and Nikki:
They have a little meet, cause Tomi has brought her a little something to drink. Tomi notices that Nikki is all happy, happy, joy, joy. She even asks Tomi if she looks fashionably cool! Well it's Frankie of course. Nikki is seeing his new place tonight, lots of smiles and a hug. Nikki is feeling much better and has even gained some weight. Tomi tells her too bad other girls don't have the help she did. Which gives Nikki a great idea. Maybe she can blog about the anoxeria and bulima and with the help of therapists and nutritionists she could help other girls like her! Also she can now ask for a diet to gain more weight, yay! Now Tomi brings up the delicate subject of the new bebe that will be her sister , please accept your new little sister that will be coming into the world. No way in hell, according to Nikki her Snappy Pappy (Nelson) and that Kendho are dead to her. Tomi even tries to tell Nikki, that poor bebe is innocent, the little bebe can't help who she is born to. She'll never, ever forgive them or accept that little girl, get it through your brain Tomi, she says.
Santino and Kendho Make It To the Hospital in One Piece:
We are finally at the hospital with Kendho in a wheelchair, not the deluxe version that Odiodette has by the way, and she has a death grip on poor Puchi's arm. She wants Puchis to call that FF already. Puchis tells her he's tried but FF doesn't pick up. Now the orderly is wheeling Kendho to labor and delivery and they won't let Puchis in. Kendho screeches she wants the FF here, right now, call him again! Puchis says he'll try and they take her off. Puchis looks exhausted the poor guy, all the things he has to do for that FF, jus' sayin'. He calls the FF once again! He finally gets ahold of the FF and tells him that Kendho is in the hospital, he had to take her cause she went into labor! FF doesn't believe it. He won't be fooled by Kendho into going down there and it's probably a false alarm. No false alarm says Puchis! FF, being the parental unit and I mean that sarcastically, yaps about he's too damn busy to be there. There is the Nabila dropping dead problem, he has to tell her parents, he has to start over with a new campaign since the one Nabila was in is no good now, in other words he has to replace the model, blah, blah, oh, and talk to the press of course and Anyballs has left him holding the fort. Well, Puchis says Kendho is insisting! FF so doesn't want to deal or hear that. FF tells Puchis to provide whatever she needs, he's busy now, go away already! Ok, says poor Santino and FF continues with his meeting.
The Balvanera Foyer of all Important, Pertinent Things:
Angel and Ms Vikki are reveling in their love, making googley eyes and touching arms and they look like they should be going to one of those many bedrooms but no they can't! Angel tells her as soon as they are married, he wants to go to the country he misses it! They almost get in a clinch, but here comes Anyballs loaded for bear. He tells Angel in no uncertain terms he wants alone time with his daughter, and basically tells Angel to scram. Angel goes. Anyballs has poor Ms Vikki's arm in a vise grip and marches her to the little home office to chew her out. You can tell, he has that look! He says they have some talking to do.
Balvanera Home Office with Anyballs and Ms Vikki and Yes, We Have a Showdown!
Anyballs now shuts the door, for the ultimate in privacy and starts the interrogation! He wants to know what is up with Ms Vikki and the bodyguard? Ms Vikki tells him she'll tell him but to calm down, por favor! Well seems FF spilled the beans about Ms Vikki and the bodyguard. So Ms Vikki stands her ground and says, yes, she is in love with the Angel! Cara de impactado de Anyballs! Of course Anyballs thinks this is a Carlos redux, and that Ms Vikki is off her rocker. Not so she says. She knows exactly how she feels. Anyballs now lists reasons he thinks she is just crazy, FF cheated so she cheated back! She turned to the Angel for his special brand of comfort. Not so, she's in love she says. He says she is a Balvanera! She is from an illustrious family, not the 'hood. It just can't be. She tells him basically to can it, she is in love. Make no mistake about that! Anyhow, Anyballs cheated on his wife si or no? Well he isn't having any discussion about his love life, no noes! He says he is understanding that she likes the Angel, but that will go away, it's only a phase. No she says, true love! Anyballs seems to think that maybe Ms Vikki and the Angel were an item before old FF cheated with the Ho. Ms Vikki is indignant and says no way that happened. As a matter of fact the whole time Angel was married to Cris, before she died, they did nothing, eva as in sex that is. He reminds Ms Vikki that she is still married! Now why did he never tell the FF that, hmmmm..... Ms Vikki tells him she will soon be free. She also informs her Papa Anyballs that she will not be giving up the Angel like she did Carlos, lo those many years ago! Especially after she married that guy of her Papa's choosing who she was stuck with for twenty five years and who cheated on her! Now Anyballs pulls out the moola card. The Angel is poor, and no recognizable name to boot, so what says Ms Vikki, money isn't everything, well not that, but you get the dirft. Anyballs thinks she is making one huge mistake. Well, Ms Vikki has had enough of this crap and tells him one more thing. He is not to treat the Angel badly. Anyballs doesn't want any orders from her! Ms Vikki hits him with something that would hurt him the most. She says if he treats the Angel badly, she will resign her position at Meta Imagen. Good for her, and she gracefully leaves the room as Anyballs looks like he wants to crap his pants, sorry had to put that there.
Angel and Adri in the Kitchen:
While Anyballs and Ms Vikki are having their showdown, Adri and Angel take a little meet in the dining part of the kitchen. She tells him she casually talked to Lili, ya know about how she would feel if Angel were to find love with another woman. No naming of names occured. Adri feels this is a difficult time for Lili cause she isn't up with that, and Lili is suffering over Frankie, who doesn't love her. Angel is pithed Lili is all about Frankie again, when she knows damn well he isn't into her, only Nikki. They do agree that now Lili and Nikki won't get along because of their feelings for Frankie. Angel feels that Lili will never accept another Mama in her life, Nikki knows about the Angel and Ms Vikki but she isn't happy with Lili. Adri advises the Angel not to tell Lili now. Angel also thinks that FF went and tattled about him and Ms Vikki and that's what this meeting between them is about. But Adri reassures the Angel and tells him not to worry. Anyballs won't be buffaloing Ms Vikki ever again. She can handle him! Adri smiles but the Angel looks concerned!
Delivery Room with Kendho, The Doctor and The Nurse:
Kendho is talking or rather screaming at the Doctor who looks exactly like Padre Honesto from Refugio but with a beard here. He has now morphed into a doctor for this TN. The Doctor tells her she is in labor but Kendho is insisting on a Ceasarian Section.. She is so not down with this, she can't take the pain! This bebe is premature and they need to give the bebe meds for her lungs and Kendho is screaming she can't take this pain. They will give her more pain meds and if in two hours she still hasn't dilated enough, they will do a C Section. The Doc and Nurse go, and now Kendho is b*tching at the bebe to hurry up and get out, she can't take it anymore! Her little girl is so inconsiderate. Oh, I can't take this anymore. She needs a good bop on the head with a cast iron skillet, long handle please! It is finally time for the bebe to be delivered. At first there is no sound, and then suddenly we hear the crescendo of screaming from the Kendho as the doctor is telling her to push. She keeps screaming and then passes out. Ruh Roh.
Tomi, Polita, Jean Marie, and Balzac (hehe)
Yes, we have a Balzac sighting this evening. Seems Jean Marie will be returning to the Balvanera's employ since Estefano and Odiodette went to that clinic in Switzerland. He is happy to be back and he missed them. They missed him too! They liked Gabrielle, but missed Jean Marie's chisme and they also missed them some Balzac. Group hug with Balzac (hehe) Awww
Carlos/Joan or Juarever (Whatever) His Name is and Josie:
Josie is witching to CJ about Ms Vikki and how she still isn't talking to her over the CJ thingy! And it's all his fault! He interrupts her rant and asks her about Venice! He wants to know if Ms Vikki ever went there. Seems they liked a movie when they were young and it took place in Venice. They always wanted to go there. They talked about taking a gondola ride. (Ed Note: I took one and it was fantastic!) Josie wants him to get back on the subject about her woes with Ms Vikki and she thinks his mentioning of Venice is absurd! He thinks it is romantic.
Guzmancito's or Frankie's Place:
Imagine if you will, a darkened apartment, lit with candlelight and a table set for two. There is a vase of red roses on the table and some red wine breathing on the counter. A hawt guy, that would be Frankie, is waiting patiently and there is the bell. He grabs a rose and opens the door and it's Nikki of course. He hands her the rose, and she was afraid she was late, but he tells her she was right on time. Smoochies in the doorway. She now comes in and notices her letters on like a trail on the floor, leading to a letter shaped heart on the wall, Awwww. She can't believe he did that with her letters! He did it just for her. She tells him the whole time she was away she thought of him. He wants a promise that she will never doubt him again! Pinky swear, no not that, but she promises and they ti amo each other together. Awww. They will never let anyone seperate them again! He's made dinner for them and he pours the wine. They toast to being together foreva! He's made a vegetable lasagne. He'll be cooking when they are married, he's like almost an international chef! She can't beleive he wants to marry her, oh, yes he does, and more smoochies. Awwww. They sit down to dinner and have a nice convo. Frankie tells Nikki about his divorce from Amber and now he is free. Nikki says soon she will be free also. She and Roy applied for the quickie express divorce. Besos to that! Pretty soon they will be together and for always! Now he asks her about the bulimia. She says thanks to him she is doing much better. He wants her to eat more, but she is full, and not so hungry. But no worries, she is eating better now and she is much stronger now. Another Salud!
Ms Vikki and The Angel and The Art Room:
Angel and Ms Vikki are discussing their various meetings, you know the ones with Anyballs and Adri of course. Angel goes first and says that Lili is not liking the idea of a new lady in Angel's life. He wants Lili to accept Vikki. Vikki tells Angel all about the FF running to Anyballs and ratting her out. Angel is looking troubled but Ms Vikki assures the Angel she told Anyballs she will not be manipulated by him and her relationship with the Angel will not be messed with either! Angel thinks maybe he ought to resign. She so doesn't want that! She needs him in more ways than one, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, they need to stay together, come hell or high water! She wants them to be together always. He agrees to stay! Smoochies on the cheek, hugs and Ms Vikki looks content as the Angel looks worried.
The Godfather and Anyballs Have a Meet:
Anyballs and The Godfather have a meet about the errant Balvanera sisters. The Godfather feels they need to be left alone to live thier lives. Anyballs will not have Ms Vikki loving no poor bodyguard. Those girls never listen to the Anyballs' advice. The Godfather reminds Anyballs they toed the line for him for many years, now set them free to live their own lives already! Well, Anyballs says his girls will be very sorry they didn't listen to him! The Godfather just shakes his head. Anyballs has spoken.
Josie and Adri Meet For Coffee:
Now Josie is trying to enlist the help of Adri for mending fences with Ms Vikki. Adri reminds Josie that Ms Vikki doesn't like lies. Well, it was for a good cause. Well, seems Adri has been having JC (Joan/Carlos) on her mind. She tells Josie all about the dancing and spending time with JC the drinking and how for a moment there she thought it would go further. Adri had to run off cause if she didn't something, something would have happened. She stopped herself cause she knows that JC is in love with Vikki. Josie says you got that right, he's been pining for Ms Vikki all these twenty five years already. Adri says yeah and also admits she thinks JC is quite the handsome manly man, intelligent and a nice guy. Josie says yes, he is quite the bon bon. Adri says it's too bad that he is in love with her sister, Ms Vikki. She says she met him as Joan Constantine and not as Carlos. She wonders if JC will ever look at her like he does at Vikki. Adri is smiling!
Hospital Waiting Room:
Poor Puchis has just finished something to eat, he needs to keep up his strength ya know! Who knows how long he has been in that waiting room, when who should come in Viewerville? That's right, it's the FF finally! He took long enough. FF wants the latest info. All Puchis can tell him is that she is still in labor and delivery. He doesn't know anything else. FF wants to know why the bebe is being born so early. FF gets all teary eyed, can you beleive it! It has to do with Ms Vikki giving birth to Nikki and how happy he was and how Nikki would strenghten his relationship with Vikki. Now it's this girl that is coming at the worst possible time. What a jerk! Where is his anvil?
Joan Has Come To The Balvanera Manse:
Joan has come a calling on Ms Vikki. Polita has seated him in the sofa area off the main hallway. She says oh, you are the director eh? Yeah he is that. She tells him she sings, she goes into song, with dramatic effects and he actually tells her she is quite good. He wants her name. It is Polycarpia she says, but her stage name is just Polli. He laughs, but truly enjoyed the song. Ms Vikki comes in and Polita asks if he wants a cafecito, no he's fine she exits singing and bumps into Ms Vikki who gently pushes her aside. She did ask Ms Vikki if she wanted anything too, which she didn't. So now Joan and Ms Vikki are alone. She doesn't know quite what to call him, Joan or Carlos? Doesn't matter to him. So she settles on Carlos. He asks her about Venice. Did she ever go there? He has taken hold of her hand. She gently removes it and tells him she had studied in Milan (fabulous city) and visited all over Italy, but never went to Venice. That was their dream place! He is glad to hear it, cause he has a proposal for her. He wants her to go away with him to Venice and take that gondola ride they never took! He has her hand in his again and is kissing it. She sadly looks at him as he tells her he has been waiting twenty five years to take her there. They both have tears in their eyes. She tells him all those years she thought of him not being in her life. If he had come a year earlier perhaps, things would have been different! Carlos gets the hint it is too late for them cause now the Angel has her heart! She agrees with Carlos and says that the Angel does have her heart and she loves him. Carlos thought her going away with him would change her mind, but that can't happen now. She is truly sorry. He tells her he will stop pursuing her. He realizes the Vikki has found a man she really loves and not the choice of Anyballs. They both cry and he is pithed cause Anyballs seperated them lo those many years ago. Vikki and Carlos both cry, but he stops as she does and he is very gallant in holding her hand, like in a Shakespeare play and tells her Venice will miss her. And here is where we end this epi.
Avances:
They were mainly a mishmash of things, but the stand out scene was Ms Vikki and the Angel being close in Ms Vikki's art room, almost kissing when Embittered Lili comes upon them and wants to know what is going on! Tune in Esta Lunes to Find out what happens!

Good Afternoon Y'all, I have been under the weather and have done this recap slowly. Please forgive any mistakes, will edit later.
Well I was ready to hate Carlos for his underhandedness but if he's really backing off he might actually turn out to be a good guy... Just hope he doesn't play with Adri's feelings.

For all his bellicose yammering, the patriarch started it all by falling in love with Cande.

Well done Madelaine, very well done. I like your alignment to give us the true scope of each scene. It makes much more sense than the continual cuts back and forth between two or more scenes.
I can't decide if YawnCarlos is a sadder but wiser sympathetic character or if he is about to lay a whopper on poor Adri's head like Anon at 03:50 says. I too hope not! Adri is the most deserving of a good break from here on out not more dirty tricks. I can't wait until Anybals takes a great fall that all the kings horses and all the kings men... well you know.
I can't decide if YawnCarlos is a sadder but wiser sympathetic character or if he is about to lay a whopper on poor Adri's head like Anon at 03:50 says. I too hope not! Adri is the most deserving of a good break from here on out not more dirty tricks. I can't wait until Anybals takes a great fall that all the kings horses and all the kings men... well you know.
Oh and I meant to add that Nikki is actually acting almost civil and adult. I think the good Guz is good for her. But that Lilli, how much bitterness and stupidity is she capbable of yet? Probably more than I wish for.

Madelaine....Thanks so much for that detailed recap. So sorry that you are under the weather and hope that you feel better soon. You were very kind to do the recap when you weren't feeling well. As for ANyballs, his daughters are big girls now and he's a old dude ,....give up control and let everyone try to find a little happiness. Chillax.

I'm so disappointed that we must wait until Monday until we learn the outcome of Kendra's delivery. I'm still coming to grips with the reality of her pregnancy for goodness sake.
What is it about Nikki and Guzmán that causes me to be flooded with endorphins every time that they appear onscreen?

I'm glad that this version of the story didn't show Lili and Francisco having an affair. (I'm also glad I didn't know about the Azteca version until after the fact.) I prefer Francisco as a Prince Charming who keeps faith with Nikki even during their estrangement.

gringo--Lili needs to get the nursery back, first. She turned it down and handed the keys back to Anyballs, which pleased Cande. That, however, might only last one episode--so, I'm with you there.

I so enjoy the El Clamor as well which after last weekend really piqued my interest in joining the POLE. So I did my homework this past week and watched each epi of AV and I do believe my expectations have been sufficiently lowered.
Here is what I like the most: Adri... I watched a few epis here and there in the beginning and found her to be an insipid, aging hippie with bad taste in clothes. Now she shows more balls than Anyballs and looks hawt in her leather skirt.

Sunglasses: I've had a soft spot for him ever since he was married to that bruja in "Mi Pecado".
Ana Martin/Cande: I love her..... hair cut.

El mero mero: the handbag that Niki grabbed and stormed out with when she left the hospital after throwing the letters at Frankie. (What a great scene.) Lili was sporting a nice handbag as well in the giant greenhouse.
So that about does it. I won't go into my loathing for the FF/F4 and Kendrat. Nothing new there.

LoriLoo, we still have a few spots available at the Odette table where the signature drink is Cognac with bitters. Wheelchair accessible. There is a dress code. No food at the present time, but there are negotiations in progress with Jean Marie over hors d'oevres and petit fours and we have high hopes. Gracias Anita y Carlos. Thankfully I have no striped sweaters, well to speak of, but I am from the west county of Sonoma County, CA and we are pretty informal here. I doubt I would pass odioso Odette's standards but hey, she can't really object at the moment. Cognac I can appreciate since I did a paper on it in one of my wine classes.
Oh and by the way, I did receive an "A" on my Cognac/Armanac paper that I wrote for my wine class. Just sayin'.

He is just a nice, sweet and very together guy.
Nicolás was nice and sweet too but he was one of those womanizers with their boyish charm and gentle manners, he was younger (the actor was 28) and more temperamental. He and Bárbara (Nikky) could spend hours fighting and bickering. He also seemed from a lower economical standing than Francisco. He had issues with trust and seemed more affected by his mother's abandonment and his divorce. He craved stability but hadn't reach it yet.
I liked both versions and both actors. I think they both did a great job. The actor who played Nicolás did a radio interview where he got asked what he thought about AV and he was very nice, talking about how it was a different version but that it worked very well, he gave compliments to the actors as well. FYI: he has a great voice and he is hot.

I was really surprised at Lili's reaction about her Papa Angel maybe having a new lady in his life. She seems to be channeling the Anyballs gene here. It's either Adri or no one for her Papa Angel! She must have picked up the choosing of the mate gene. She is deluding herself with the love in silence thingy. I agree with whoever said she wants her Papa Angel to pine for Cris, who is dead, and never be happy again. Misery loves company.

I'm so dreading Lili's reaction. Remember when she was called the Wise Child cause she was centered and sensible? I have to remember that she's only 18 and never even been out on a date. Cause those tongue melds with Roy were not dates. Still have my fingers crossed that a totally new guy will enter her life - and not Roy with a new haircut.

I have absolutely no use for Anyoldballs and I want him to live just long enough to feel the wrath from his family when they discover all his lies and secrets and meddlings. Then he can drop dead and get out of their way. He really had a lot of gall telling Vicky she couldn't get a divorce because there's never been a divorce in their family. First of all, what kind of stupid reason is that? Second of all, so divorcing is not okay, but cheating on your sick wife is just fine? Vicky should move out of that house and into the apartment she owns, get that divorce, and quit MetaImagen and go to work for Odiosa's company. Is Stef running it now that Oldette is incapacitated? I bet he'd love to hire Vicky!

I suppose it must be Cande who will share the truth with the family. We cannot count on Anyoldballs to do the right thing. I do not think that he would even make a deathbed confession.
