Amores Verdaderos #162 Thu 6/27/13 Loving You Doesn't Stop Me From Boinking Your Sister

Balzac Demands a Review of His Contract

Luckily for Balzac, none of his Pug buddies are Amores Verdaderos fans or read Caray Caray recaps.  In this scene, Polita is holding Balzac (a Juliard trained pubsbian), who has been humiliatingly stuffed into a tiny red night-shirt with a fur-lined collar.  Polita begins to discuss her employers’ private foyer business such as:   Lilly’s newfound Ballsvanera status and Arriaga’s raunchy activities with Vicky.  She stops herself when she recalls Tomi’s words about loose lips.  Jean Marie doesn’t seem to push the conversation.  He takes Balzac from Polita and says it’s Balzac’s bedtime.

The Kitten Fight

Back in the Body Guarding Room, the princesses continue to argue.  Disney Princess Lilly tells exiled Princess Nicky that she might be a short hillbilly, but like Nicky, she is a Ballsvanera and has all the rights associated with that name.  Hoping to start a new fashion trend by wearing green Spanx on the outside of a purple skirt, Nicky tells Lilly that Candy’s not the only sweet treat Anibal has sampled.  Disney Princess Lilly promptly loses her entire mind!  There’s so much hair flying, it’s like Saturday night at a Head Bangers Ball! Guzman observes one of his greatest fantasies coming alive right before his eyes.  The only way this could have turned out better is if the cousins were wearing bikinis and wrestling in jello.  Guzman reluctantly steps between them and carries Nicky (kicking and screaming) out the room.

A Ballsvanera Detects Allotta Bullvanera

While crocodiliciously sobbing in front of the fire place, Anibal reaches for Adrianna’s hands and begs for compassion from his daughters.  Adrianna snatches her hands away and scoffs.  Anibal subliminally tries shifting the focus off of himself and on to Arriaga and Candy.  He falls to his knees and cries about not finding out that Christina was his daughter until the day of her funeral.  Sure, they got along, but he didn’t get to raise her and guide her the way that way Candy did.  He passes the guilt stick over to Arriaga.  He points out that didn’t get to love and cherish Christina, like Arriaga did.  He would have welcomed her into the family, if he had known.  Finally, Anibal falls to his knees and sobs.  Candy runs over and massages his shoulders.   Vicky walks to the other side of the room and stands behind Arriaga.  Anibal stands, sighs and said he has to bear his cross alone.   He leaves the room, but no one follows him out.  After everyone left in the room exchanges awkward glances, Arriaga glares at Candy.

Rob the House and Burn It Down!  Dammit, I’ve Got Homeowner’s Insurance

Beatrice and Salsero have gone to his godmother, Imperia’s home to have dinner.    Hmmmm.  The door is unlocked, but conveniently, Imperia isn’t there.  She was called away for emergency cat-sitting duties for a neighbor; however, she had time to cook a five-course dinner and leave it warming in the oven.   Salsero tells Beatrice to sit down.  He moves in for a smoochie poo, but she turns her face away from him.  Salsero says that he can’t wait for her to become Mrs. Santino Roca.  They go into the kitchen to get the grub.

Octogenarian Death Grip

In the piano room, Anibal confronts his son-in-law.  Nelson reminds Anibal that he still has Candelaria’s letter.  The letter proves that Adrianna is Lilly’s birth mother.  Suddenly, (well as suddenly as an octogenarian can move), Anibal clamps (well, as much as an octogenarian can grip) his fingers around Nelson’s neck.  Nelson doesn’t seem to miss a breath, and easily frees himself from Anibal’s grip as if he were swatting away a bug. Disappointed that he couldn’t choke his son-in-law, Anibal sits down in a nearby chair and grabs his heart.  Nelson tells Anibal that he hopes he kicks the bucket so that he’ll stop making family members, but then Nelson hurries to the door and calls for Victoria and her sister.  Victoria, Tomi and Candy run in.  Candy gives Anibal his medication.  Victoria tells Nelson that all of this is his fault.

Guzman and Nikki Have a Sit In

In the kitchen, Guzman brings Nicky a glass of water.  Arriaga passes through asking for Lilly.  Guzman directs him to the Body Watchers area of the house.  While Arriaga exits in one direction, Lilly marches down the hallway with Polita and Jean Marie in her wake.  Jean Marie and Polita try holding Lilly back! Jean Marie begs her not to complicate things.  Lilly demands respect from Nicky because she is a Ballsvanera.  YES! SHE! DID! The two girls try to get to each other again, but this time Guzman has help.  Arriaga runs in and pulls his daughter away.  They have more important things to think about!  He takes her out of the room.  Nicky wants to know what Polita and Jean Marie are looking at.  Polita tries to explain that they are trying to get dinner out because it’s their job and some people who no longer live there are blocking the progress.  Nicky tells them to get out (click on the screen and minimize).  Jean Marie pulls Polita from the room.  Nicky goes off on Guzman for defending Lilly.  She hates Lilly!  She’s a liar and a grandpa stealer!   Tomi interrupts and tells Nicky that Anibal is having a heart attack.

Anibal’s Swan Song?  Over Adrianna’s Dead Body!

In the piano room, Anibal gasps for breath as Candy loosens his tie.  Adrianna enters and tells her father that he can’t die until he tells her what happened to her daughter.  Vicky tells her sister to give Anibal a break.  Nicky runs in and shoves Adrianna out of the way.  She kneels at her grandfather’s feet.  Juan Carlos calls, but Adrianna tells him that she’s too busy to talk.  Her father’s having a heart attack and she’ll kill him before she lets him die without telling her what he did with her daughter.  Everyone’s on going to the hospital, she says before hanging up.

This Isn't the Tanning Booth?

Bruna’s sleeping in Juan Carlos’ bed (I think).  I don’t know if they didn’t anything, but it looks suspicious.  He comes to tell her that he’s going out, but she doesn’t wake up.

Body Guard Room

Arriaga comforts his daughter.  They can’t believe that she is a Ballsvanera.  Between Lilly and his “twinkle in his eye” son with Vicky, he’ll never have to work again.  Dammit, he should just quit now.  He apologizes for not telling her the truth sooner, but he’s in love with Victoria.  Lilly snatches her had away and gives her father the death stare.

Want More Kisses?  Pour More Wine!

How convenient, Imperia just happened to leave candles and wine as well!  Salsero and Beatrice are finishing up a gourmet meal, when Salsero moves in for a kiss.  Beatrice shyly kisses him and pulls back.  Is it his breath?  What is it?  While Salsero puts the dishes away, Beatrice just happens to find the CD containing the song that was playing when they first danced.  There are a whole lotta coincidences going on here.  Could it be possible that the fairy godmother set this up and she’s faking the whole cat thing?  The wine is working.  Beatrice dances by herself.  Salsero hears the music playing and joins her.

Body Guard Room

Arriaga and his daughter discuss his relationship with Vicky.  Arriaga gets down on his knees and cries.  Lilliana thinks that he cheated with Vicky before Christina died.  Lillianna refuses to accept his relationship with her mother’s sister and flees into the kitchen where Tomi informs her that her grandfather is in distress.  The ambulance has been called.  Lilly and Arriaga (who has joined them in the kitchen) run off to the piano room.  Once in the piano room, Arriaga tries pulling Lilly back, but she pushes him away and runs to Anibal.  Adrianna manages to get Lilly away when the paramedics come.

Paula’s Sick Room

Paula is in bed.  Guillo comes in and give her a blanket.  He said he had a dream that she was cold.

I Think Salsero’s Trying to Get Her Drunk

Salsero and Beatrice have danced to the same song five times.  He’s worn her down.  Beatrice plops down on the couch.  Salsero immediately gives her some more wine.  The wine has loosened her lips and those hips because doesn’t mind Salsero’s lips.  He puts his hand on her thigh and kisses her naked shoulder.  She lies back on the couch and they get to smoochin’.  Hopefully, there are some convenient sheets lying around to cover that couch.

Ballsvanera Foyer

Adrianna is concerned that her father will die without telling her what happened to her baby.  Adrianna and Arriaga discuss Lilly’s reaction to finding out that she’s a Ballsvanera and that her father is Vicky’s lover all in one day.  Arriaga tells Adrianna that he asked Candy point blank whether or not Nelson was Chrissie’s father and she lied to his face.  He’s shocked that she can’t be trusted.  He’s concerned about his relationship with Vicky.  She took Zambrano to the hospital with her.  Adrianna tells him to have patience with Lilly.

Tomi Told What She Could’ve Sold

Jocelyn and Juan Carlos rush into the kitchen.  They want to know how Anibal is doing.  Tomi tells them that Anibal had a heart attack after Nelson revealed that Christina was his daughter.  Adrianna and Arriaga enter the kitchen.  They heard the entire thing.  Tomi looks embarrassed after Arriaga says that the walls have ears.  Adrianna is still bitchin’ about Anibal’s heart attack.  Juan Carlos tells Adrianna to relax.

Piano Room

Nelson is having liquid refreshments.  Juan Carlos asks Nelson what he’d hoped to gain out of this.  Nelson says that he wants Nicky to get her fair share of what is left of the Ballsvanera fortune after he blackmails Anibal for the other 80%.  Juan Carlos acknowledges that Anibal destroyed him, but points out that he got back on his feet without love.  He put his mind into his work.  Juan Carlos says that Nelson got Vicky, but Anibal has taken everything else from him.  Juan Carlos leaves the room.

Lilianna’s Room

Adrianna tells Lilliana that she is happy that she is her niece.  She wishes they were sisters. Lilly thinks that she freaked out when they first met because they have the same blood.   Adrianna tells Lilliana to call Anibal her grandfather.  Lilliana doesn’t want Anibal to die because she just got him.  Adrianna invites her to ride with her to the hospital.

Dethroned Princess’ Bedroom

Nicky is sitting on her bed brushing her hair.  She’s still spitting fire about Lilliana.  She says that that mansion doesn’t feel like home to her.  She loves poverty with Guzman in the love shack.  This makes Guzman happy.  Disney Guzman tells Nicky that she should go to the hospital. He encourages her to cultivate her relationship with Anibal.   Nicky tells Frankie that he’s almost always right.  He playfully makes her say it over and over again.  They make out and then go to the hospital.  Hopefully to change out of those Spanx first.

Family Room

Adrianna presents Lillianna to Juan Carlos as her niece.  Jocelyn, is wearing two dead skunks on her shoulders.  She hits on Arriaga and asks if he would like to ride with them to the hospital.  Arriaga pulls Lilly back and tells her to be careful with all these nuts.

Emergency Room of Allotta Ballsvanera

Anibal asks the doctor if he’s suffered another heart attack.  The doctor tells Anibal that he’s  suffering from indigestion.  Anibal then TELLS the doctor that he’s suffered a heart attack.  He knows this because he will be making a large donation to the hospital in exchange for their excellent care.  He wants to keep his family together.  Meanwhile out in the hospital lobby, all of the Ballsvanera herd and some stragglers have come to hold a vigil for Anibal.  When the doctor comes out, Candy asks for Anibal’s status.  Nicky shoots her a crazy look.  What a surprise!  Anibal has suffered a heart attack and the doctor wants to keep him a few more hours.  Anibal has asked to see Nicky and Lilliana.  The two enter his room.  Anibal asks them to stop hating each other and get along.  Nicky and Lilly say that the hate each other too much.  Cum By Ya ain’t gonna happen.

A Logical Explanation of the Major Mix-Up

Arriaga is at the cemetery talking to Christina.  He’s brought some lovely flowers (discounted, I’m sure) for his dearly departed.  He begs for her forgiveness and tells her that he still loves her.  He thought she approved of his relationship with Vicky.  He reminds her of the day, when he and Opiumlina smoked some…cigarettes…and decided to go visit Christina at the cemetery.  Well, they asked Christina if it would be OK if Arriaga did some filthy things with Vicky since Christina no longer able to fulfill her wifely duties and well, Juan Carlos was pissing him off and he was horny.   OK, so a dove had landed on the grave and told Opi that Christina said that she was cool with Arriaga having  sex with Vicky on every possible surface and in every possible position in the house in Cuernavaca.  Now in retrospect, what they did not realize was that the dove was actually a pigeon and Opi says that pigeons work for the devil.  Pigeons lie.  Opi got confused because they’d smoked…cigarettes…all afternoon.

Hospital

Adrianna, Juan Carlos and Vicky discuss her relationship with Arriaga. Vicky thinks it’s over between her and Arriaga because she’s his dead wife’s sister.  Juan Carlos tells her to fight for love.  He points out that Adrianna is her sister and that doesn’t stop him from boinking Adrianna.  Vicky considers it.

A Florist Without Flowers

Professional florist Lillianna, who has changed into a light spring ensemble, also happens to be walking by her mother’s grave (but, without flowers) and notices her father is sobbing.  She gives him a guilt trip about him having sex with her dead mother’s sister.  He reminds her that he tried to go back to the country with Christina, but she wouldn’t go.  Lilliana says that he only asked after they had already separated.  He asks his daughter to run away with him.  She tells her father that she’s staying, cuz she’s a now bonafide, DNA card carrying, Ballsvanera.  Credits.

Comments:
I'm really sorry that this is so long. There was so much going on that I couldn't figure out how to combine the scenes.

Cynderella - Thanks for the recap. It WAS a busy episode, wasn't it?!?

Again, Nelson watches the show -- tonight's featuring Anibal faking his heart attack. Nelson was not impressed. Nor was I. Although Anibal probably thinks he deserves an Oscar for that performance.
And, could the writers make us despise Anibal any more? Could the writers make this wicked old goat just get it over with and die? Porfis?

Was anyone else wondering if Imperia might walk in the front door while Bea & Salsero are making out on the couch?

Yay! A Kendra-free episode!

Yay! Guillo did not cry!

Yay! Another Balzac sighting!

I was glad to see Liliana changed out of that blue dress for the cemetery. That dress saw a lot of action and must have been rather … ripe .. by then.

Interesting scene with Guillo & Paula. It sort of creeped me out, because I wondered if the kid will wake up next to a cold, dead grandmother in the morning.

Cynderella:

What a terrifically funny recap! There was a lot going on last night.

I wish Lili had listened to her Papa Angel instead of going on assuming things. Too much has been dumped on her too soon. I feel for her, but wish she would have some time to think. Maybe with Adri's help she can see reason.

Poor Angel is now back to being riddled with guilt. I felt so bad for him, crying on Cris' grave. I wish he had remembered what she said to him before she died.

Nikki is Nikki and I wish she weren't so close minded about Lili and Cande, but her moral compass was Anyballs and his philosophy has always been do as I say, not as I do. She really needs to, and I hate to say it, remember her night in that barn with Frankie when she had just gotten married to Roy. Enough said!

Bruna and Joan didn't do anything. He let her have his room, he has another bedroom in the house.

I am glad Betty and Santino got to have some quality time alone. Betty looked more relaxed after all she has been through. I like how Betty was going to clear that table, but Santino told her he would do it. Awwwww.....

Anyballs tried to get Nikki and Lili to bury the hatchet, who knew? And was it any surprise he faked his infarto? Nah, not so much, what a master manipulator. I wonder what else he has up his sleeve?

Cynderella: One of the best gifts is the gift of laughter. I gratefully thank you for bestowing that on us this morning.

I was so enjoying "Saturday night at a Head Bangers Ball", "crocodiliciously", "Is it his breath? What is it?" and "Cum By Ya ain’t gonna happen" (my favorite), that I reread this fantastic summary just to savor it again. It flowed so smmothly - you combined everything perfectly.

I'm likely giving credit where no credit is due, but was cagey (yet loathsome) Anibal's "heart attack" plan staged partially to bring Nikki and Lili together?? The reprobate's quick damage control plan was fairly ingenious if he can get his two princesses to stop the physical and verbal sparring (at least for a while)...

I don't believe anything happened with Juan and the orange one. He is really falling for Adri and his impassioned speech to Vicky seemed genuine. Hmmm.

Are we to hope as JA told Lili he "loves" Vicky rather than "loved"? Where the heck is Opalina?

doris, I felt the same way you did about Paula passing away during the night...while it would spare Paula more pain, she needs to say her last goodbyes.

Is anyone sitting with me at the Guillo table? Anyone?

So much to wrap up in a few weeks. Looking forward to some happy endings as well as justice for those who deserve it.

Cynderella, thanks again!!

Diana

Madelaine: our comments crossed. I see we are on the same wavelength with Anibal. "...but her moral compass was Anyballs and his philosophy has always been do as I say, not as I do". Well said and very true.

Diana

Cynderella,

Another high emotion episode, just perfect for your brand of snark. The princesses were really at their worst with each other last night. Anibal is going to have to work up another “heart attack” to get those two to agree to a truce.

I love how Adri never shows any compassion for Anibal when he’s at death’s door. She just wants him to spill the truth already, and then she’s perfectly fine with the old goat kicking the bucket. It’s either death or jail for him, in her book. Ha!

Bet a lot of folks weren’t expecting Carlos to be the voice of reason—saying exactly the things those of us in Viewerville have been thinking about the Vicky-JA-Cris situation. I think he’s starting to be very grateful that he escaped much of the Balvanera family drama by not marrying Vicky all those years ago. But does he really want to dive into it now with Adri?

If I were Lili, I’m not sure I wouldn’t also think that JA is trying to blow smoke up my butt by admitting he sinned in his heart, but didn’t cross the line with Vicky while he was married to Cris. Why all the secrecy now then? And Cris’ body is barely cold in the ground. Bottom line is JA fell in love with another woman, who turns out to be her mother’s sister, while he was married to her mother. This caused her mother great distress and unhappiness, and broke up their marriage before she died. These are the facts. That’s hurtful enough, even if Lili believed that JA and Vicky didn’t sleep with each other before Cris died. This is not an easy fix situation for JA, Vicky and Lili. I feel for all of them.

Cinderella I must remember not to read your recaps at the office, I must've looked strange laughing out loudly several times when was I supposedly doing the month-end invoicing, at least I got the looks of it from my collegaues..

Finally Salsero got into it with Bea! So nice of Imperia to organize the sceen for them and also arrange to have a convenient couch nearby:)

Nikki is overreacted as allways this time Lilli was really hurt and she kicks her while she's down.
The fake heart attack was Anyball's idea to solve the problems between the girls? He might just needs a couple more of them to bury the hatchet between those two!

Vivi: While JA did fall in love with Vicki while married, it was not the sole reason for their problems, but one of many conributing factors. Cris and JA had many issues. The truth is also that JA left Vicky behind, willing and ready to commit himself to Cris and their marriage.

Agree that Adri has no pity for Anibal and well she shouldn't! "It’s either death or jail for him, in her book" said it all.

Diana

P.S. The title is crazy, but the recap is very "safe" to read.

The title is inspired by Juan Carlos speech to Vicky. During the speech, EVERYONE please correct me if I'm wrong...he says about it not mattering to him that Adrianna and Vicky are sister. Both Adrianna and Vicky give him a funny look. In my opinion, his comment was kind of tacky or unfeeling. Arriaga and Vicky are racked with guilt about their relationship and Adrianna had to be CONVINCED to mess with Juan Carlos. I was tired when I watched, so I could be crazy. LOL

See? I'm still tired. Juan Carlos (in my opinion) was kind of tacky about he and Adrianna's relationship during his speech. He has a reason to encourage Vicky to go after Arriaga. He's making a film about it.

Cyn- But in his film, he wants Vicky to end up with her first love (Carlos), so he should be jumping at this change in circumstances between JA and Vicky.

Irisz79 and Diana Thanks

You're right, Vivi, but the book has been written and she has to promote it. Right NOW she's with Arriaga.

I mean the script was written. Remember he sent it to her in a box? Anyone can correct me. Is Bruna a done deal or is he still holding auditions?

I’m working from home today, so I just went back and looked at the Carlos-Vicky-Adri hospital scene. Here is the long version of what your hilarious title sums up:

V: I have to accept the decision that JA makes.
C: Fight for him. Don’t do the same thing you did with me.
V: I could fight against anything, except a ghost, the ghost of my sister Cristina.
C: *sigh*
A: It all depends on the circumstances. You didn’t know Cris was our sister, and neither did JA.
C: The two of you don’t have a reason to feel guilty! Even though you and I never married each other, you know how much you meant to me. And that hasn’t been an obstacle to me starting a relationship with your sister Adri.
V: I’m very happy for the two of you, but my case is very different. I fell in love with JA when he was married, and in addition he had a child.
A: I know that for him this is very difficult because of all the years of marriage he had with Cris, and because of Lili, of course. If JA wanted to take a break so that Lili can assimilate the situation, then you would have to accept that, but that isn’t the case.
V: I don’t want to pressure him. When Cris died he will filled with guilt and regret, imagine how he must feel now that he knows the familial relationship between me and Cris.
C: That shouldn’t matter Victoria! Fight for the man you love! Anyway, your relationship with Cris was on other terms. You didn’t even know you were family.
V: But she was my sister. In spite of everything she was, and that’s a reality I can’t deny.
C: Even more than/more important than a familial tie is a great love that exists, in spite of the adversities you’ve had to overcome. Put aside the prejudices and the guilt! Live your love openly!

Thanks Vivi,

Praise God, I have to go to the orientation for my new job today, so I will be unavailable for a little long time.

Cynderella

Congrats again on the new job!

About Nikki again, sorry, she is ripping mad at Lili cause Lili lied to her about Guzmancito. I think that is really at the root of Nikki's problem with Lili, besides FF manipulating Nikki. Remember that thing about Lili telling Nikki that she and Guzmancito were boyfriend/girlfriend? Lili blew smoke (thanks Vivi) up Nikki's skirt, jus' sayin'.

Cynderella,

Congrats on your new job!

Cynderella – Congrats on starting your new job! You sure do know how to bring the funny. Love the title. Some of my favorite lines:

“Guzman observes one of his greatest fantasies coming alive right before his eyes.”

“He passes the guilt stick over to Arriaga.”

”She’s a liar and a grandpa stealer!

So glad Arriaga gave Lili the unvarnished truth – that he fell in love with Vickie while married to Cris but didn’t boink till later. I was afraid he was going to throw in some BS about KendaHo messing with Cris’s mind. Sure, JA and Cris had issues like all couples do but they also had caring, fun, and great sex, but the bottomline, as JA used to say repeatedly, was that in 20 years of marriage he’d never even thought of another woman besides his wife. Anyhoo, I imagine Cris is getting tired of all the anguish at her grave interrupting her afterlife party. Maybe she’s met Heath Ledger up there.

With this off his chest, JA should be able to move on with Vickie. Hope Lili keeps her cool with her new auntie tomorrow.

Cheers to Joan Carlos for pointing out the obvious about no trouble with sisters.

Vivi – ITA “I love how Adri never shows any compassion for Anibal when he’s at death’s door.” She and Odiodette should compare notes.

Madelaine - I agree with you about Nikki and Lili. Lili's lies to Nik about her (Lili) & Guzman have given Nikki something definite over which to be angry. Before that, it was mostly clashing personalities. Lili really messed up with that one.

Ha! word verification wants an umlaut over a vowel. How many people know how to do that? well, I do, but I'm in the minority....

Nikki has ratcheted up her hatred of Lili lately, and to me that has everything to do with jealousy.

The Polita lie, which Lili confirmed and went along with, did not change the fact that Nikki had married and went off with another man, had let herself believe Kendra's vile lies about Guzman’s character, and that in four long months, she was too spineless to try harder to reach out to Guzman to apologize, tell him about her feelings for him, and to confirm if he was indeed dating Lili or anyone else (as he would have had the right to do). All those things, more than Lili and Polita's lie, kept her and Guzman apart. She needs to get over it, as much as Lili needs to get over her crush on Guzman (which, by the way, she has not mentioned in the last few episodes).

I like both Lili and Nikki, but right now Lili is dealing with serious issues -- disappointment in her father, with the possibility of her becoming very cynical about love, and exerting her rights as a Balvanera, especially to compensate for what her mom didn't get.

Though Nikki is working as a waitress and knuckling down in Guzman's threadbare depa, she's looking frivolous to me because she really has NO problem. There is no doubt about Guzman's love for her and she can get help from Vickie anytime she likes, for a better job, food, etc. The Balvaneras are loaded. If Lili gets her slice, Nikki wouldn't even miss it.

THANK YOU CYNDERELLA---wow!!! What
an episode last night. It was dead on serious, nothing funny at all but still you managed to make us laugh when your recap was read. Cynderella, you're just amazing, I don't know how you do it.
You had several good lines but my favorite was---She tells her father
that she's staying cuz she's a now bonifide, DNA card carrying Ballsvanera.
Oh, and good luck on your new job. I hope that it turns out well for you.

Adri's view---It's either death or jail for him. Well said Vivi.
Also well said is your analysis
on the Cris, JA,Vikki, Lili situation.

Irisz79---Yes, Nikki is not the supersweet princess that the patio crowd thinks or wants to think that she is. Nikki has a real mean streak in her but she will end up friends with Lili in the end---I have to believe it.
the gringo

Cyn--Good luck during orientation. Many wishes that your new job would be with Avon-Monterrey. You'd have a ball.

Besides the unique and terrific (and toned down) recap. I was spewing Mexican Chiapas coffee all over the monitor at your very clever paragraph headings:

--Balzac Demands a Review of His Contract (ITSA--I thought dressing him up like a baby doll was a fancy that had passed.)

--The Kitten Fight (Oh, my, but they weren't just fooling around play-acting, they really had their baby claws out.)

--A Ballsvanera Detects Allotta Bullvanera (You gotta hand it to the old guy--he's a better actor than KendHo when it comes to manipulating family and protecting fortune.)

--Octogenarian Death Grip (This has to be one of the funniest scenes in tn history; attempted murder in slo-mo. The only way Anyballs could ever have come out a winner is if Nil-San had had too much to drink [I wish].)

--Anibal’s Swan Song? Over Adrianna’s Dead Body! (And over Anibal's too.)

--This Isn't the Tanning Booth? (This is a yuck, yuck zinger; Ms OrangeFace, where *is* she sleeping...if JC had a spare bedroom, why didn't he park her there..methinks she's in JC bed and there was a little folderol happening last night; JC is good at compartmentalizing, so he can still be falling for Adri but get off on Bruna--and if I were he, I'd steer clear of anyone named Bruna.)

--Dethroned Princess’ Bedroom (I thought Ex-Princess Nikki was taking it pretty well. She may be living in a hovel and do all of Snow White's work, but she got the Prince and didn't have to sleep in a glass coffin for decades waiting for him.)

--Emergency Room of Allotta Ballsvanera (We've revisited this place too many times. Enough Anibal, fess up or kick the bucket.)

--A Florist without Flowers (How did they get to Santa Rita so quick? Isn't it a couple hours away by bus? I forgot, they are living in Disney's world where pumpkin carriages can fly--oh, wait, wrong fantasy.)

The Cris is a Balvanera reveal needed to happen. However, can we just throw that weasel FF off a cliff with a cement weight tied to his feet. He is even more smarmy now.
As far as the JA/Vikki/Cris situation is concerned, while Cris and Vikki are related, there isn't any incest going on, but it is very uncomfortable. The reveal could have been handled better, especially with Lili, who still has more tears ahead. As I recall there are passages in the bible where if a brother dies and leaves a widow, another brother marries the widow. We don't have that tradition now, but there isn't anything scientifically wrong with Vikki and JA. Everyone has their own opinion of the morality of what has played out which is fine. I think Cris's jealousy destroyed her (She is a true Balvanera and these girls and their daughters are high strung).
With regards....JMHO

"However, can we just throw that weasel FF off a cliff with a cement weight tied to his feet. He is even more smarmy now."
Well I agree, but .....

The thing about the FF/Nelson, right now, is that he is currently our classic 'plot propeller.' His little pearls of information that he is tossing out, along with his "fight"(ha!) with Anibal and thus incurring the faked heart attack, are moving things along so we can wrap up this telenovela.

Can someone tell me the song that is played whenever Salsero and Beatriz dance together? And, who sings it?

True Doris. He only has one major reveal left...he is just hard to take.

GoBlueFan- The song is called "De Punta a Punta." Originally by Alvaro Torres (they played his original slower version when B and S made out on the couch). The faster salsa version is by Orquesta La Tipica De Mexico.

Lyrics:
Deja la luz encendida,
quiero mirarte desnuda,
ahora no hay ninguna prisa
y te amare de punta a punta.

Palmo a palmo, beso a beso
asi como imaginaba,
solo los dos en silencio
enredados en la cama.

Habia soñado tanto,
este precioso momento
pero esto es lo maximo,
estoy entrando en tu cuerpo.

Siento tu pecho agitado,
y tu vientre como el fuego,
los dos estamos temblando
de pasion y delirio
de amor y deseo.

Abrazame, aprietame,acarciame
y besame

With lyrics like that, I don't know how Bea managed to wait this long to do the deed with Salsero.

Thanks, Cyn, for the laughs you gave me from that fact filled recap. Congratulations on your new job. I hope it is a job that you will enjoy. I am still up north, so I did not see this episode.

Well, I vote for the weasel going off a cliff. Nil-soul is becoming increasingly worthless and soulless. Will he be the one to sink that final ship (Lili is Lucia) with those loose, usually lying lips ?

No appearance from that dreadful Ho? Could she really sink to having her own baby murdered ? talk about soulless. I cannot imagine how karma and the writers will deal with her. Disfigurement ? Prison ? death ?

Lili IS a liar. Not to mention materialistic. Instead of crying because her mother never received her father's love and that of her sisters, she's whining because Cris never had the opportunity to enjoy "all this" (wealth and luxury) and is now determined to do it for her - "I AM a Balvanera" - what? No, Brat, you are an Arriaga (well, not knowing about being Lucia, that is). And when she finds out she's Lucia, she's still more whatever-her-real-father's-name-is than a Balvanera.

And for all intents and purposes, Arriaga DID cheat on Cristina. His unfaithfulness began the day he gave Vikki those "butterfly" kisses as she was asleep. That is totally cheating - an emotional affair. Sure, Cris was always raging and screaming in jealousy, but she had every reason to do so. He WAS being unfaithful and he WAS paying less attention to Cris, even if he wouldn't admit it to himself. So what if Cris pressured him to take the job? That's not giving him any kind of license to fall for someone else - not with their supposedly solid marriage of more than 18 years.

Nikki is as much of a Balvanera as Lili is. She is a Blavanera-Brizz, and Lili is a Balvanera-Arriaga (soon to be whatever Vicente's last name is).

That should be Brizz-Balvenera and Arriaga-Balvanera. Soon Nikki will be a Brizz-Guzman.

They could have called this telenovela Boinking Balvaneras

...or THE Boinking Balvaneras depending on whose perspective the story is being told from.

Poor Nikki. I adore Frankie, but the sound of "Brizz-Guzman" just doesn't flow. Lili wins this one. :D

LOL Susanlynn. Lili's the only Balvanera who hasn't boinked anyone...yet.

It will be Nicole Brizz Balvanera de Guzman - in Mexico women don't drop any of their surnames, they add their husband's surname after "de". The children will be Guzman Brizz.

Thanks for the lyrics Vivi! Yowza! I sent them to my husband for a little translation homework ;D.

Thanks much for the recap Cynderella - a good match for a crazy episode!

I like "The Boinking Balvaneras" LOL!

I've been laughing so hard at my desk, (during my lunchtime of course and off the clock), that my workmates are literally staring at me!

What a great recap! Thanks!!! I can't even barely comment as I'm still laughing.

But Lili is definately on my last nerve. What a little gold digger!

Cynderella:

"Tomi told what she could have sold!" hahahahaha! You're still holding out for that Mexican National Enquirer job I see!!!

So funny! Just your paragraph headings alone are genius. "the florist without flowers"--really clever stuff!

Thanks so much!

Katy

"The Boinking Balvaneras" - love it! Sounds like a circus group - you know, like the Flying Wallendas.

Pigeons lie

LOL, omg that is hilarious!

What a chapter and Cyn, you're too funny!!!!!My fav- NO cum by ya. Hahaaha.
Sorry, much as my sympathy for the Disney Princess because of what is yet to be revealed, I am in agreement with Anon 4:03 that this one is a liar and materialistic. she is also playing jealous for her mom "who didn't get to enjoy the riches of the Ballsvanera. She is already haughty about being a Ballsvanera I can't imagine her dreams coming true that she could get anything once the other truth comes out. I blame the writers for turning her into this kind of protagonist instead of being a sweet Disney Princess with a sad secret. But that is the way they can to make it interesting I guess.
About Nikki, Nikki is Nikki, and she will fight to the end for her man. She has already chosen her man in lieu of the Ballsvanera wealth. Her only concern is they're trying to work on their own and still her father and grandpa are blocking their chances.
I guess in due time the cousins will be sweet to each other. I hope.

Thanks everyone for you kind comments. I sorry that I couldn't participate today.

I MEANT ANTAGONIST INSTEAD OF PROTAGONIST.
