PEAM #70-6/14/13:What Love Demands, the Bucket of Destiny Delivered! Did Alma and Chucho Get the Hint? Nah, Not So Much!
Happy Father's Day Y'all!
We start this epi with Patymelt trying to sneak into Rogue's place and Rogue is screaming and then he screams for Alma, who starts toward the stairs, sees the Patio door open, and goes and closes it and then goes upstairs. She never sees the Patymelt. Patymelt, outside, is very happy Alma didn't see her, but she stubbed her toe, and boy is it hurting.
Chucho puts Val to bed and she asks him how someone can stop loving another person. He tries to explain about divorce, etc and she says she loves her Papa Chucho, besos on cheekies.
Those bumbling Avon secruity guards are on patrol in the warehouse and come upon Ricardo, fast asleep with his teddy bear. Awww. They wake him up and want to know why he is sleeping in the warehouse. Ricardo explains about losing his place, all his stuff and how his friends couldn't put him up, and by the time he is done, he is sobbing along with the security guards. He is allowed to stay in the warehouse, and Ricardo grins behind that teddy bear.
Alma has made it upstairs to see what Rogue wants. He can't sleep, pobrecito! it's that pulsating, throbbing pain in his nether region. Patymelt calls Alma and she tells Patymelt about the accident, ya know the one to his "hand", cause Rogue doesn't want Alma do be discussing particulars with Patymelt, since she was the one that kinda caused that "accident". Patymelt will be by later to visit Alma.
Marta has gone upstairs to see Elias, in he and Vero's bedroom! Can it get any crazier? Hang on to your hats, drinks, juarever as I tell you what happens. She is trying to get all cozy with him and he is rebuffing her advances. He is pithed she sent those pics of him to Maricela cause he is interested in her, even though he still loves Vero, with me so far? Marta isn't looking happy! She thinks this is some type of joke and she goes all BSC on him, trying to choke him and he has to restrain her. Later, when Marta is somewhat calm, she tells Elias she was married before and her husband didn't love her, he beat her, she was pregnant but lost the bebe. She is inconsolable and has fallen apart. Elias escorts her outside.
Chucho thinks about Alma, what else is new?
Barbara and Xochi are having a little chat about the Papa, you know that numbered donor, Xochi just found out about. Xochi cries and asks her why she told her, her Papa was dead? Now Xochi wants Barbara to find out the donor's name, cause she wants to know who her Papa is, but all Barbara knows is the donor's number. Xochi wants her to phone, or go to that clinic and find out who he is. Xochi is determined and not backing down, and Barbara looks a mite surprised!
Vero has come to see Chucho. She is upset by what is going on with her and Elias. He gets her some coffee, but has put sugar in it, it's ok with her. She likes his place. He tells her he is getting it together little by little, he wants a nice place Val can visit. Being a Dad is a responsiblity! He also tells Vero it is a responsiblity to have a family and Chucho advises her not to be so overprotective of Val, ya know, no buses, etc, and to respect Elias if you please! While they are talking, Vero sees someone at the door, and looks like he may have another breakin. He grabs a skillet, while Vero grabs something off the bookcase and wait for this person to get in the door. It is Chatita, of course, in one of her senior moments. She thinks she is at her place and wants to know where her stuff is, lol. Chucho reminds her she is at his place and hers in down a ways. Finally Chatita comes to herself and Vero and she go.
Patymelt has come to visit Alma now and Alma swears her to secrecy and tells her exactly what happened to Rogue, in other words, the true version, how he can't be doing the horizontal tango for at least 3 months and he has five stitches in the nether member. Patymelt is trying not to laugh, and thinks it is divine intervention! She does chuckle though.
It is the next morning and Alma and Rogue are having breakfast with Sanson and Rogue insists he is not moving the wedding back yet again, tomorrow they are getting married y punto! He is still in pain though and Alma will take a taxi to work. After she goes, he tells Sanson he is getting married in the morning and trills the wedding march.

Chatita has made one of those fab breakfasts and Val notices that Maricela is sad. She asks her about it, but Maricela tells her it's nothing. Chatita has pulled another paper out of her bra to remind her of something, and she goes to get it! It a beautiful choclate drizzled cake she made for Val and Chucho as a thank you. Chucho thanks her and tells her she is like a Mama to him and an Abue to Val, Awwww.
Patymelt has shown up at Rogue's, full of glee cause of that injured nether member and tells him it was divine intervention! I think Patymelt is still trying to blackmail him with that Jess video she made. She wants a European trip, cause that last trip to Acapulco was so ripping zippered, er you get the drift. She goes.
Delia, the top cop here, is in her office when her assistant Nancy comes in with a search warrant for Malvino's phone. Now they can officially go and snoop and get all that info from Malvino's phone, hmmmm.........
Alejandra has come to Ferny's door again and he gets a call on his cell and slams the door in her face. She is pithed and goes off. It's Rogue's on the phone and he wants a meet with Ferny, it's about Discua!
Sebastian and Alma are at home and he tells her he invited Susanna to Alma's wedding, is that ok with her? Of course it is. Well, meantime Susanna is telling Maricela that Sebastian invited her to the wedding and she isn't sure she should go. Maricela thinks she ought to go. Susanna, meh, not so much.
Xochi arrives at work, all sad and crying about the numbered Papa she has. She tells Maricela and Susana all about it and Chucho consoles her. Both Susana and Maricela think that Barbara should have told Xochi ages ago.
Meantime, Rogue is looking a bit better and is moving a bit better too. I guess, Domatilla, the maid will be in charge of Sanson along with a pic of Alma and Rogue, so he doesn't forget them, and Domatilla says have fun at the wedding and Rogue says, juarever and goes!
Rogue is in his office and looks at that article about Discua again. He had looked at it earlier and can't wait to show it to Ferny. Now remember a few epis ago, Rogue had come up with a plan for Ferny to get over the Bisquet and this is it. Ferny has come in and still isn't happy with his bubby, but this is important and Rogue shows Ferny this article about Discua. Seems this article says that Bisquet was arrested and is not in India. She was arrested on charges of fraud, cause she cheats men out of money, using faith and the light. Ferny is devastated to learn that Discua was a scam artist. Ferny has been gripping the back of the chair so hard, I thought the chair would break. He looks at the article and is just so torn apart. He hugs Rogue, who can't beleive that Ferny is doing that.
Alma and Chucho have one last meeting, before she goes off to Acapulco to be married. She talks about being married tomorrow and Chucho is sad. But gives her his congrats. She really wants Chucho at this wedding, he is her BFF after all, but he thinks it is better if he doesn't go. She has tears in her eyes and thanks him for all the help he gave her with the wedding. Chucho takes her hands in his and tells her he'll see her soon, when what she really wanted was a hug. She has tears in her eyes and says bye to him. He goes and she is still upset cause she wanted a bit of a kiss and she can't figure out why she feels so bad. Big hint there Alma, wake up and smell the coffee, don't you agree Viewerville????? Well, Alma looks at that Angel that Chucho gave her as she cries and she convinces herself she'll be happy with Rogue. Pablo was right. Whenever Alma is near Chucho she convinces herself she'll be happy with Rogue!
Chucho is at his desk thinking of the bucket of destiny, ya know the water bucket, and all the memories he has of Alma, ya know the kissing ones especially. He is sad the love of his life is marrying some other guy and how they would have made a great couple. Speak up Chucho, ya lunkhead, jus' sayin'.
Elias is packing to go to Acapulco and Vero comes in packing too. She is going also. Elias tells Vero no more therapy with Val and Marta. Vero is aghast and can't understand why not. Elias finally tells her that Marta is BSC loca and mal, muy mal. He wants to make darn good and sure this therapy ends. He is worried for Val and doesn't want Marta anywhere near her. Vero and Elias start another arguement.
Speaking of Marta, she is one cool split personality, cause she looks normal now and comes in and it is Chucho's turn for the little talk. He'll be there in a sec and Maricela tries to follow her, but Chucho tells her oh, no ya don't and holds her back.
Rogue calls Susanna for a meet with all the employees.
Rogue announces to the employees that he and Alma will be married manana in Acapulco and taking a two week honeymoon! Ferny will be in charge of everything, Ruh Roh! He tells Alma, Vamanos! and is kissing her arm and giving Chucho the look, I have her look and you don't and smirks at Chucho and here we end this epi.

Great job Mads! It looks like we are getting a lot of filler until the wedding. I'm going to bet that the marriage takes place anyway, since Rogue won't be able to enjoy the honeymoon. Alma will have three months to legitimately avoid sex with Rogue. She can barely tolerate his kisses. Makes me wonder how she was able to have sex with him before Jesus came into her life.

Maadelaine, thanks for a fantastic recap and your repeated "juarever" motif.
My favorite part of the episode is when Jesús refused to give Alma a hug when she clearly wanted one. Maybe there is some hope for him. He does seem to be showing more backbone as of late.
I was happy to see Delia the "top cop" ( as Madelaine called her) again. It is easy to forget the legal maneuvers she and Jesús are involved in with all of the everyday silliness.
I could not stand that smirk directed at Jesús as Rogelio was kissing Alma at the end. It seems his zipper adventure wasn't enough to cool his jets. He is just as obnoxious as ever.

Enjoyed your saucy take on the events last night. My Colombian friend and I were watching, along with her 14-year-old daughter, and tho' she probably thinks Colunga is an old man, she does recognize that he's gorgeous. But prefers his modern look in this one to the brooding long-haired hero in Alborada. Of course Mom and I are totally hooked on the historical look.
Juarever...I wish he would take charge a bit. I taught my friend a new word "wussy" because alas, that's how I see him in this one!

OT: I have been watching the repeat of UFCS in late night and the actor that plays Uri was a friend of Pancho Lopez. He helped the Lopez family during their party at the Casa Popular and also helped them move to Fernanda's house later after Pancho is hired as CEO of Avon Toluca. That isn't a spoiler for those of you watching all this stuff has happened already. I just wanted to say this about the Uri actor. His accent in that one was as bad as it is in this one, but he is very easily understood : )

I want him to grow up and take charge and maybe get a bit of revenge on Rogue. Rogue so deserves that ; )

Mads/Nanette - thanks for update on Marta. I saw the bathroom melt down and wondered where that come from.

Hola amiguis! I am back in civilization and have really enjoyed catching up on all the entertaining recaps and comments. You recappers are on fire these days, once again proving what we already know, the sillier the telenovela the better the recaps. I am definitely going to have to watch some of these eps on Hulu, especially Rogue's, ahem, injury.

"Goldbricking" is particularly apt when you consider that it was like smacking Ferny in the head with a brick!

Speaking of memory, though, when Chatita wandered into Chucho's place by "mistake," conveniently interrupting Vero, I had to laugh. Chatita's no more senile than my 5-year-old nephew. Or at least she wasn't being senile at that moment!
