Amores Verdaderos EXTRA – El Clamor Publico No. 4 – 7/7/13

El Clamor Público
This edition of El Clamor Público© includes Weekend Edition Headlines, Patio Chatter from the Past, Patio Letters and no Collected Wisdom of Diana in this issue, due to the length of the Patio Chatter. Ed. Note: Most portions of the content  have appeared in other publications.

WEEKEND EDITION HEADLINES

Nelson Brizz, shooting victim in vicious ambush attack by two thugs, is in danger of losing a leg. He says from his hospital bed that his leg is very important to him. Patio people remind readers that "Only the good die young," however, the bad seem to lose body parts.

Adriana Balvanera, still looking for answers to mystery disappearance of newborn daughter, receives a telegram telling her to pony up mucho dinero in exchange for information.  She wears stylish pants to the assignation point.

Kendra Ferretti, Mr. Brizz’s authenticated amante, processes this medical information.  She avers that she doesn't want to be married to someone with a wooden leg. She's probably worried he'll wear a black eye patch and walk around saying, "Aaarrrrrrggghhhhh, mateys!"

Malú saved from unruly fans by Supersuperman is grateful.  Gives him a smile and an autograph.

Mr. Constantine, famous film director, after being a victim in a vicious ambush attack by two thugs who rearranged his face and ribs, has hired Francisco Guzmán as bodyguard.  Regrettably the leading lady in his new film has hijacked Mr. Guzmán for an afternoon and evening of fun and frolic, certainly to be discovered by his insanely jealous mujer.

Patio Letters From Epi #79 – March 2, 2013 by Madelaine

Dear Patio Peeps,

Yeah, we've had too much Bailey's. We thought we would drop you a line to say howdy. See we told you we would incorporate some more comedy in this TN. There will be more coming, you can count on it. We also got a letter from PETA, complaining of our shabby treatment of Balzac, you know letting him run all over the D.F. in the storyline. We assured them that Balzac is safe and sound. Not a spoiler, but we wouldn't mistreat a dog. We also want to give a shout out to NovelaMaven who got that letter from Kendritta. Needless to say, we gave her a dressing down for sending you that letter, and told her in future, she must show us the letter before she sends anymore. We like your Patio and want to keep it Kendho free. We have heard some chisme that FF and Anyballs are up in arms about no table for them either. Don't be surprised if you receive a letter from them. Just a heads up. Now we have to get back to writing more of this TN but just wanted to drop our Patio Peeps a line to let them know we are enjoying the Patio and also that store you now have set up. We'll keep in touch.

Sincerely,
The Writers

Patio Chatter from the Past -- Adriana’s Rocky Start

Too bad Adri didn't drop those piedras on top of Anibal's head.  re: the previews for tomorrow night:…. Mexican version of Broadway play --- "Adri Get Your Gun." Must See TV!  Adri still carrying those stones around is a Big Red Flag that she has some serious mental health issues. Hel-lo?!? How many other people does she plan to show those rocks? [Doris]

I cracked up when Adriana pulled those rocks out of her purse. I hope that she shows them to the Dr. before she shoots him tonight. [Carlos]

I'm bummed I missed Adri pulling those rocks out of her purse. OMG! I cannot believe she is walking around with them in her purse. Her shoulder must hurt. [Vivi]

Adri is too literal about having heavy baggage. Maybe someone told her being stoned would help and she thought that was what they meant. Her rocky relationship with her father is going to do her some serious damage. [Julia]

Remember everyone---Jean Marie has prepared and sent four trays of goodies for the patio crowd tonight and it should be a good one. Adri has a gun! [The Gringo]

Why does Adriana still have the rocks with her? Don't they make her purse heavy? And will someone tell her that there's no need for her to remind us of Anibals last name? [Elle]

Oh, those Rocks. The drama and the show must go on, am I right, Adriana? [Aribeth]

I think that those rocks Adriana is carrying around in her handbag are symbolic of the heavy psychological weight she totes 24/7. Perhaps, instead of shooting the doctor, she'll bean him with one of her pet rocks. [Susanlynn]

Maybe Adri will go more crazy and start to think that the rocks are her baby. [Julia]

Maybe Adriana's nickname should be Rocky. [Susanlynn]

And she can sing to them - Rock-a-bye babeeeee... [Doris]

LOL, I'm going to start calling Adriana "Rocky." [Elle]

The rocks have pushed her off her rocker. [Julia]

Rocky: yes, I love it! [Aribeth]

She can take her rock baby to lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. [Julia]

She can roll them down Daddy's driveway...ROCK AND ROLL.  [Susanlynn]

Sooo, tonight will we all be drinking Baileys... wait for it... on the rocks? [Carlos]

With rocky road ice cream. [Julia]

...YES...drinking Bailey's on the rocks and eating rocky road ice cream (Veronica on PEAM would be scolding us) ...while we watch the marriages that are on the rocks and hoping that someone rocks the boat and Anyballs falls out.  [Susanlynn]

I don't think Adri has the stones to shoot the doc....no matter what she has in her purse. [Sara C]

I KNOW it's only rock and roll...but....I like it...like it...yes, I do. [Susanlynn]

Just turned on the tv and there's a Corona commercial on (during Corona de Lagrimas) where they play the Rocky theme, and all I can think of is Adri. LOL!  [Vivi]

And the Rocky theme. The universe is recursive and fractal, is it not? [Julia]

Julia, the universe does seem to write in long hand and has trouble with 5th grade math. [Anita]

Recap continued in Epi #86: …Emotionally rocky Adri, now armed with a handgun taken on the sly from the Balvanera mansion arrives at Doc Paulie Walnut's door.  When he won't let her in, she shoots out the lock.  But inside there is no sign of the villain.

Adri is a loose cannon so to speak. I hope she gets herself together, before she does something she will regret, all due to the Anibal's idiocy. [Madelaine]

When last night we went from one scene with tiny Rockina/Rambina/Adriana, whatever, screaming and shooting out door locks, to a scene with big old Jose Angel cradling Balzac/Monet/Fifi, whatever, like a baby, it just showed me why I love this ridiculous show, against my will. [Vivi]

"Rockiana" … Bwa-Hahahahaaaa! [Doris]

Part of Adriana's grumpiness might be caused by that purse... let's see:  A humongous camera, two big rocks and now a pistol complete with silencer. Imagine toting all that around. [Carlos]

Adriana should go on “Let’s Make a Deal.” She’s got everything in that bag. [Niecie in MD]

Recap continued in Epi #87: …Adri comes in Anyballs room at hospital, armed with a gun. Anyballs tells her he knows she has a gun and asks her to hand it over to him. She refuses to give it to him, He then dares her to shoot. She puts the gun away but pulls out a rock from her purse, one of the rocks from the grave, and is aiming the rock at him. Then slams the rock down at his night table. HE fakes that he was just as hurt as her to find out there were only rocks where he thought his granddaughter was buried. (She does not look like she believes him any more than if he said the earth is made of goat cheese.)

Poor Adri is really losing it. I thought she would point the gun at her Daddy Don A, too, but loved what she did with that rock from her purse. Hey, less weight in her purse now. I swear she must have the kitchen sink in there. [Madelaine]

Just another thought about the rocks in Rocky's purse---she is always ready for a literal game of rock/paper/scissors. Do you think that she also has those other two items in that handbag? [Susanlynn]

There is a saying--- when life gives you a lemon, wing it right back. Animal gave Adriana a rock and how I was wishing she was going to wing it right back at him last night. Well, at least her bag is lighter. [Doris]

Recap continued in Epi #90… Adri gets more and more baked at the restaurant. Guzmancito seems cool and collected and is watching her carefully. She rambles on and gets sillier as the liquor keeps flowing. There's even a little hilarious bit about her purse being heavy—Guzmancito asks if it's "full of rocks" and she says, "Why yes!" LOL.

Was I the only one yelling at the tv during the hotel scene: SHOW HIM THE ROCKS!! ? [NovelaMaven]

Adri and the rocks in the purse was too funny. Hasn't one of the bodyguards missed their gun yet? Wasn't it the Angel's gun she five finger discounted? He is the only one that really doesn't carry the gun. [Madelaine]

Comments:
This will be the last issue of AV EXTRA until, regrettably, AV is OVER. If things go well, there'll be a post-mortem issue after I return. Anita, still lovin' AV.

Thanks for a bunch of memories laden with laughs, Anita. May I be the first to say... wait for it... you rocked it? I love El Clamor Publico.

Missing the Collected Wisdom of Diana, but now that she has that laptap with her over the weekend, maybe she will drop by with some fresh gems.

I'm glad that Vicente has arrived. I'm surprised that he turned out a heart surgeon and not a (sorry) rocket scientist.

Carlos

Anita - Thank you! That was hilarious but then Adriana and those rocks provided us with much material for snark.

So, Carlos, are you surprised Vicente is not a sorry rocket scientist, or are you sorry he's not a scientist? LOL

Hi doris,

No, I'm apologizing because I went ahead and plucked that low-hanging fruit. It was selfish of me. Now for some Baileys... on the rocks of course.

Carlos

LOL! Thanks Anita. I almost forgot how much amusement Adri provided when she was BSC 80% of the time. Unlike now, when she's only BSC 20% of the time.

Anita, this was sensational!

Enjoyed every single word. You are so talented and your wit and wisdom in creating this is very much appreciated - you have enhanced the AV experience to propel it above and beyond.

How can you pick from the garden of delight here? All gems...

While everyone's comments were truly great, I especially loved:

"Rockiana" … Bwa-Hahahahaaaa! [Doris]

Julia, the universe does seem to write in long hand and has trouble with 5th grade math. [Anita]

The rocks have pushed her off her rocker. [Julia]
and

"Part of Adriana's grumpiness might be caused by that purse... let's see: A humongous camera, two big rocks and now a pistol complete with silencer. Imagine toting all that around. [Carlos]"

I could have cut and pasted everything. So much to laugh at, enjoy and savor. What a marvelous group.

Diana

OUuuhh, Carlos, your wish has been granted. Diana dropped by, but left the old gems (which are always the best.)

Anita..Thanks so much. What a wonderful reminder of the great ride we've had on this pony. I had forgotten all about those rocks in Adri's purse. What fun.

I had lunch and laughs this afternoon with two of my dear old friends, and then came home to more laughs from this fun read. I feel good...laughter is good medicine.

Susanlynn...and, A laugh a day keeps the doctor away (except for our dear Carlos).

Anita:

Thanks so much for this latest edition of El Clamor Publico. I too had forgotten about those rocks of Adri's! I wonder what she did with them, lol? Will she show them to Vincente, maybe, if they ever meet? Will she tell him where they came from? Thanks again for this great, very humorous edition and can't wait for the final edition to see what gems you pick!

Mads, we know she left one of them on the night stand in Anybees hospital room. I bet she still has the other one. It would be something if she does show it to Vicente and together they find Lucia.

You are so clever, Anita. I'm glad you listened to the clamor on the Patio and gave us another splendid issue of El Clamor Público.

"If things go well, there'll be a post-mortem issue after I return."

Will you be gone for a few weeks? I do hope you are ok.

Very OK. Family vacation, no Uni, no time to spend reading recaps til I return--then it's a matter of catching up with 4 tns.

Anita---El Clamor Publico #4 is a riot---your a genius. Adriana's Rocky Start is more than a riot, it's a riot and a half. Thank you so much. What a great way to start out the week.

Susanlynn---A laugh a day keeps the doctor away [except for our dear Carlos] loved it.
the gringo

El Clamor Publico #4 is as hilarious as the others. The entire edition rocks as well as "Adriana's Rocky Start." Hee hee.
