PEAM #169-11/1/13: AARP LoveFest, Rog Is Picadillo and Pato Loses It!!!!!!

Hola Peam Peeps! Here is the short version of the recap. Rog is in la carcel and it ain't pretty, Alma returns to work, Panfi and Sebas plot, Pato loses it. That's it, that's all. Want more? Pull up a chair, grab your hot chocolate, whipped cream optional, and read on!

I Fought The Law And The Law Won!
We find Rog in la carcel and meets some dude called Darwin. He knows all about Rog from Yuri, the Russian. He has a message for Rog, he'll be picadillo! Here comes the Guard, his name is Champigon, Champi for short and wishes nightmares for Rog. Rog looks scared!

Safe Harbor:
Pato has decided to stay with Alma and Chucho. It would be safer for her and little Ferny she is such a good Mama to him. Chucho reminds her she is part of the family. Awwww. Luisita gets to know little Ferny.

AARP Love Fest:
Panfi tells Sebas he is going to ask Chatita to marry him. Sebas thinks this is such a great idea, he'll ask Susana. They will come up with a plan so the girls don't find out. Chatita thinks they are planning something and then forgets why she came into the room.

In La Carcel:
Rog talks to his cellie, El Monstro (the monster) but he assures Rog he's harmless, Really! He knows Rog thru Ferny, he was Fernie's cellie when he was in la carcel. Rog didn't tell Ferny he is in this place. El Monstro mentions the fact that Ferny was paying for all of Rog's misdeeds and Rog doesn't disagree.

Love Nest Turns Into Nursery:
Ferny and Xochi have set up the cribs in their living room, which will be the nursery. As they admire their work, Chucho calls Ferny and tells him Rog is in la carcel.

In La Carcel:
Rog tells El Monstro he was ashamed to tell Ferny. But at least Rog is admitting his guilt and not screaming he is innocent.

The Love Fest:
Chucho and Alma are so very happy to be waking up together again. Its been sooooo long! Chucho is going to get ready for work, while Alma cuddles with Luisita and Chucho will be taking Val to school. He goes to wake Val up and gives her fifteen minutes to be ready. He also goes in the living room where he sees a sleepy Pato with little Ferny, who wakes her up every two hours. Chucho will make her some coffee. Awwwww...... After Chucho goes she is wondering how her Pichon is. Alma is also bringing Luisita to work.

The Nightmare:
Said Pichon is sleeping and dreaming he is being escorted to the electric chair. He is allowed to say some last words, which he uses to say hi to everyone he likes. Times Up! They pull the switch and Pichon is cooked pigeon, er, cooked goose, er cooked Rog! He wakes up screaming, scaring El Monstro! El Monstro tells him it's time to wake up anyways, to shower, dress in his best, so he can have the fabulous breakfast that they serve in this joint to all the gentlmens!

More Love Fest:
Even after her coffee Pato is still very tired. Ferny and Xochi come for a visit and Pato lets her hold little Ferny and when Xochi asks how Pato is doing, Pato says her heart is now picadillo!

Breakfast and Threats of Picadillo in La Carcel:
Rog is having breakfast with of all people Yuri, who is sooo happy to see him, NOT! Rog is gonna pay and pay good as in picadillo paying good. He is pithed at Rog for leaving him in la carcel and he will pay with blood. Some gentleman and what a topic for breakfast, jus' sayin'. Rog tells Yuri he still has boatloads of moola, well not that, but he does have lots of money still. Yuri don't want no stinkin' moola, Rog'll be picadillo and he wants Rog to suffer! Darwin even jokes with Rog and asks if he has go to the potty!

Chucho Gives Ferny A Talk:
Ferny is so upset Rog didn't tell him he was in la carcel. Chucho isn't happy he's there either, cause he was changing and for the better! Chucho also tells Ferny that he believes that Killeronica did this to Rog and about the tape she made with Nick Donovan. Ferny says that he, Pato, little Ferny and Sanson will all suffer. Ferny cries. Alma comes in and tells Chucho that Ferny will be the proud Papa of five coming bebes. Chucho congrats him five times over.

In La Carcel's Exercise Yard:
El Monstro and Rog are talking and El Monstro didn't know that Rog crossed The Russian (Yuri) everyone is scared of him. Rog tells El Monstro he used to launder money for Yuri and even got him out of la carcel for awhile, got his help with a little something, something he cooked up and now Yuri is in prison for attempted murder because of him. Rog had been sending him money to keep him quiet. Yuri has a ton of stuff on Rog.

At Avon Asleep on the Job:
Both Gaspar and Remigio are asleep on the job, when Alma comes in with bebe Luista and Chucho in tow, along with Pato. Pato goes straight to her desk, after informing everyone she's not doing well, Gaspar and Remigio coo at the bebe and ignore Chucho. Same happens when Alma brings the bebe into the main area of Avon. The secretaries oohhhh and ahhh over Lusita ignoring Chucho who is very fine, thank you very much. Alma makes the announcement of Rog being in la carcel. Susana is upset by this. It's due to some of his bidness dealings, Alma is now the Regional Director of Avon, Pancho Lopez appointed her as such and it's offical now. Chucho is the Manager, Ferny is Deputy Regional Director, and as Rog would say, It's time to get to work. Alma invites everyone to Luisita's baptism too. They also agree they make a great team.

Potties and Picadillos:
Poor Rog is being escorted to the loo by Darwin and another thug. Time to face ole Yuri. Yuri bitches at Rog he's in la carcel for twenty years cause of him. All the money Rog has can't compensate Yuri for that, and so he proceeds to put a beat down on Rog while his henchies hold poor Rog up. He'll make picadillo out of him and so he does. Yuri finally stops, Champi the guard comes in, asks what Yuri has done, nothing, poor guy fell and we were trying to help him up. They go and Champi knows Yuri has done this. Rog is a bloody mess and Champi calls for help. He isn't sure Rog is gonna make it. Champi hopes that Rog's first day in la carcel won't end up being his last. Later in the la carcel infirmary, the Doctura can't treat Rog there, she hasn't the equipment. Rog needs to go to the hospital post haste!

Little Ferny is a Manipulator, Pato Said So!
Pato talks to Mini (Minerva) about little Ferny, how's he doing, yadda, yadda, just don't hold him all the time Pato tells her, he's a manipulator like his Daddy Rog. Speaking of Rog she's wondering what is up with him in la carcel.

Cantu Wants Some, I'll Let You Imagine It or Not!
Cantu tells Domi that Rog in is la carcel and that they are all alone in the house. How about a little play time. Domi shoots him down. She wants him to start working on getting Rog out of la carcel, and in the meantime nothing doing with him. He chases her into the kitchen and she tells him NO MEANS NO. Cantu doesn't think he'll be able to get Rog out. She wants him to use his imagination! Does he even have any???? In the meantime he gets NADA! Cantu gets a call from la carcel telling him what happened to Rog.

Avon Gets To Work:
Alma, Chucho and Julio are talking about Avon and the job they've been doing before Alma got out of la carcel and they tell her Rog even worked! She's amazed or not. Anyhoo, it's starts getting lovey dovey in there and Julio goes. I don't think Aida and Julio have done it yet! So Alma and Chucho are going to switch offices. Alma will stay in hers and have Susana and Mari as secretaries, Ferny will have Jessie and Chucho gets Aida. Chucho will also get Rog's old office. Alma feels her office is too feminine for Chucho. Besos, they have to work on a new lotion campaign oh and call Padre Domingo to arrange the baptism. Off to work.

Chatita, Rai and the Community Center:
Rai wants to learn the keyboard like Val. Chatita will take her to the community center, they have lots of musical things there and teach it too. Later we see Val and Rai playing chess with a huge board and pieces almost as big as they are. For little girls they sure play some good chess. Val wins.

Chucho's Office:
Julio and Chucho are in Chucho's new office that used to be Rog's office. Chuco tells Julio that Rog asked his forgiveness and he forgave him. Julio is shocked! They also talk about changing Avon's image and for Avon to be the world leader in beauty. Susana buzzes him and calls him Rog at first and then apologizes. Chucho gets it, anyways it's Rico Suave to see him. Chucho says send him in. Rico is there to get his job back and his friends and quotes Charles Dickens. Chucho is stern with him and says Rico was arrogant with him and hurt alot of his peeps with his 'tude. Chucho also reminds Rico Suave about his gaffing off his work and it took a lot of time for Chucho to correct. Rico Suave thanks him for saving his bacon from those thugs, he just wants his friends and job back. After some stern looks, Chucho gives him his job back, he beleives in second chances, but will be keeping a close eye on him.

AARP Interlude:
Sebas has come to see his main squeeze Susana, who is very upset her "boss" is in la carcel and she cries on Sebas' shoulder.

Motherly Advice:
Xochi is in Alma's office and asks to hold Lusita. As she is holding her she is worried she won't be a good Mama. Her own Mama was a dictator! Alma assures Xochi she is smart and loving and those five babies will be lucky to have her as a Mama. Xochi isn't sure, but Alma pooh, poohs, that and tells her it's just Xochi being insecure. She'll be fine, all Mamas make mistakes. What changed Xochi's mind about being a Mama? Love that's what!

The Call From Hell Literally!
Chatita, Val and Rai have come to Avon and Val gets a call from Killeronica. Killeronica is crying her eyes out and telling Val she misses her, would like to hug, hold and talk to Val. She misses her so. Val wants to know why she's crying. Oh, nothing Killeronica says. She wants to see Val on Saturday, don't go Val, please don't go. But Val agrees. Killeronica tells Val she is the only thing she has in this life and hangs up and is still crying. Hmmmmm.........

The Sad Phone Call:
Pato gets a call from Cantu about her Pichon being in the hospital she runs to tell Alma.

Chatita Gets The Rundown:
Chucho, Rai, and Val are in Chucho's office which Val recognizes as Rog's old office. Chatita is getting the run down of who is doing what at Avon. They are interrupted by Alma who tells Chucho that Rog is in the hospital, she is going with Pato. He wants to go too, but he's in charge of Luisita. After Alma goes, Chucho remembers that Yuri is in that same la carcel and he's sure Yuri had something to do with it. Chucho goes to Ferny's office and tells him what's going on with Rog. Ferny goes to the hospital.

The Yuri Gang Takes a Meet:
Yuri and his gang of thugs talk about Rog. Darwin thinks that Yuri went too far this time. Yuri doesn't give no never mind, he could care less. He'll leave Rog's fate in Dios' hands as he laughs.

Hospital Waiting Room:
Cantu has gotten to the hospital before everyone. Pato and Alma come in and then Ferny. They all want to know what is going on with Rog. Rog is having surgery right this minute. What is that about Pato wants to know. Cantu says that Rog was beaten, had a stroke and Doc thinks Rog won't make it. Pato loses it in the waiting room and Ferny tries to comfort her. End of Epi!

Avances:
Beyotch smack down with Alma and Killeronica. Senor Pablo gets to tell you Este Lunes! MUST SEE TV OR NOT!

Hola, PEAM Peeps! The recap is up Y'all please enjoy ; )

After giving birth, a lot of women want to look their sexiest, so usually wear super tight, sexy clothes. Guess Alma is no different with that totally office-inappropriate completely backless dress. lol

Madelaine, and you called that the short version? You covered it all and I really enjoyed your tone!
Thanks.

Guess we didn't have enough hospital scenes so they had to send Rogelio off to one. Another character at death's door routine. At least El Monstruo was decent to Rogelio.

Madelaine, I join you in your "Hmmmm" after that converaation with the tearful Veronica and Valentina. I sure hope Jesus doesn't let Valentina go off by herself with her mom or that Valentina doesn't sneak off by herself.

It was good to see that the writers did not forget about Ray.
Jesus and Alma's place is packed to the gills. I wonder if Chatita will move in too with Panfilo once they are married since she is doing so much of the babysitting.

About 13 more episodes? I think I can do that. Not a bad episode.

Jarifa

Thanks so much for this recap, jarifa.

Ditto about Alma's dress. Backless? In the office? She did look lovely -- but not appropriate for the new regional director.

The beating of Rogelio was too realistic. I had to cover my eyes. For Pato's & Fernandito's sake I hope he makes it.

I,too, am nonplussed by Veronica's phone call to Val. I don't know what it means but I know it won't be good.

Thirteen more, eh? Unlike many of you I'm going to miss this -- especially some of my favorites.

Güera

Thanks, Madelaine. Very thorough and excellent retelling...I think it will be awhile before I crave picadillo.

Really? More hospital scenes? We haven't met the show's quota yet? Maybe this will be big points toward Rog paying off his karmic debt and he won't have to linger in jail forever, though. What a shame for his pretty face to be all smashed up.

The wardrobe people continue to perplex. A new nursing mom in a backless, no-bra, formfitting dress? Okay.

Poor Pato needs to use some of the money Rog has left to hire a night nanny so she can at least get a little sleep. Kind of rough to suddenly have custody of a newborn, with no partner around and without having prepared for parenthood.

I hope Vero is arrested before the weekend. I've had enough of the torturing of Val.

Thanks, Mads! I think I'll skip this one and just rely on your excellent recap. I hate prison drama.

Blue Lass

P.S. Ha ha, I'm the only person I know who says, "That don't make no nevermind." Well, I was. :)

Thanks Mads, great recap! Very thorough but with a fun and lively pace.

I'm so glad Rai is back. I was worried that the writers had forgotten about her.

Ugh. It feels like just yesterday that we were fed way too much picadillo.

Poor little Val. Thirteen more episodes? That's plenty of time for another kidnapping. NOT! Please don't do it writers.

I just love this comedy!

Wow Madeleine! Awesome recap.

I'm with Guera, I had to turn away during the Rog beat down. Always hated the character of Yuri and his stupid bully-bluster. (Hoping his anvil is super-sized. )My theory on the beat-down--poor Erick, you can't touch FC's pretty face, sure it's in the contract, so he gets the writer's bent up frustration to do major damage to one of the male characters.

So this is what Rog gets as his comeuppance. Virus has actually killed or had people killed. What is she going to get as her anvil?

Poor Pati--she tries so hard and always gets the fuzzy end of the lollipop. They better not have the Rog character ( who became one of my favs) meet his maker. This is SUPPOSED to be a comedy. Enough with people getting offed.

13 episodes - yeah I agree Sylvia, just enough time to pull poor Val into another ridiculous, psyche-scarring plot. Just NO!!! (But I know they will).

Daisynjay

Mads...I just have to say that your ENERGY just jumps off the page when you write. I could really feel it in the opening paragraph and all through the rockin' recap. Thanks so much.

Count me in with all the rest who couldn't bear to watch Rogelio's bloody beatdown. My Columbian friend and her daughter were over, we were trying to have some soup and salad while watching and EWWWWWWW!, have to avert our eyes or risk losing our dinner.

Waiting anxiously for Comedy to reappear in this one. Where are thou, Comedy?

Oh, and a big shout-out to TJ for Thursday's clever recap. "She and her shoes are scary." Yep, Little Lu, we think so too!

They brought me around to love to love Rogelio and now Ury gets away with this? NO. Ury's character is tiresome. He could just slip on a banana peel and disappear now as far as I'm concerned.

I'm a little disappointed that Val hasn't heard a peep from her Papa Elias during all this trauma.

I do love this show, but there are quite a few "loose ends" that I guess I will have to spin into stories of my own.

Thank you, Madelaine for your very thorough recap. When does Uri's anvil drop???
This was a sad episode, no One deserves to get beaten senseless.

Thank you, Madelaine for your very thorough recap. When does Uri's anvil drop???
This was a sad episode, no One deserves to get beaten senseless.

Mads thanks so much for this recap. ITA w/TJ, this was a sad episode. While Rogelio did some bad stuff, he didn't deserve to be beaten senseless.

Does anyone know what the next tn is in this time slot?

Mads- Many thanks for this great recap. I really needed it because I forgot to set up the recording. But I'm glad I missed Rogue's beatdown. Yikes!

In my imagination, Val and Elias are videochatting two or three times a day offscreen. What a stupid production decision to get rid of him. There's no way that character would have just up and left his daughter, especially in the middle of so much traumadrama. They could have written some plots to keep him in the story but never at the same location at the same time as Certain Other People.

Julia, thanks for setting that image up. I'll work with imagining frequent video chats that are never mentioned in other people's dramas. That is much better than never mentioning that Val just got abandoned by her Papa Elias. (And it took me so long to learn to say AY-le-is instead of uh-LE-us, for Elias.)

Great writing as always, Mads. I am greatful for the full bodied, humor laden recaps. I am grateful I didn' actually see this one for the Rogelio beatdown. Ugh!!

I will keep this short so I don't lose my connection again. I totally enjoyed all the recaps this week. Many thanks to the All-Star PEAM for each one.

Where's the comedy damwit?

Thank you, Madelaine. You do write affectionately about the characters. I join the others in thinking the scene of Ury beating up Rogelio was too graphic. I didn't see the point to that. We're already on Rog's side. That Chatita is funny. I think the ongoing gag about her bad memory is one that doesn't lose its punch.

I know objection is futile and all, but I hate U.S. television decency standards. Lovey-dovey stuff has to get chopped to bits, babies' nethers and random background artworks are blurred, yet it's okay to show us, not just once but repeatedly, a very graphic scene of a woman getting shot and dying? And then a guy getting beat to the verge of death? How is this an okay thing to show, much less in a family-hour "comedy"? There is something very wrong with these standards.

I completely agree, Julia. My on-going complaint about television is that there's too much violence and not enough nudity. I found the scene with Rogelio disturbing. and unnecessary.

I missed this one on friday and I needed to read the recap to be ready for to-night.
Both my nails and pencils are sharp!

So now Valentina sleeps more than 10 hours a day? Or now that Killerónica is not watching she gets to go to bed late? Was she practising on the keyboard until midnight? Maybe this is the ''comedy'' part. Keeping us guessing...

Nothing surprises me anymore ;-(

The beatdown was just another example of many examples violence in this "comedy." They just should have called it a drama and cut out the silliness. It would have played much better and might have played to the strengths of the actors. A combo package of comedy and drama is very difficult to pull off and in my opinion were not successful.

Jarifa

Pablo, there's always a point in ultimas where someone says, "Nothing surprises me anymore" -- and it turns out not to be true. Hold onto your hat!

Good Morning Y'all and thanks so much for your kind words.

Anon 4:14:

I will never understand the clothing that some of the women in TNs wear to the office. I too agree about the backless dress.

Jarifa:

I'm with you about Chucho and Alma's place. It is packed! I don't think Chatita would give up her place. She just spends all her time at Alma's what with one thing and another, lol.

Guera:

I don't know if I will miss this one. It went so far off the track. Especially regarding poor Val.

Julia:

Agree about the hospital scenes. We have had way too many of them. Ditto with the torturing of Val. Enough is enough of that already

Blue:

I actually got that phrase from my Grandpa. He used to say it all the time. He was from Texas and had some great Texisms ; ) I have only ever heard people in the south say it.

Cap'n:

I too am glad they didn't forget about Rai. She just seems to pop up every now and then.

DaisynJay:

I too don't get it about Rog. Killeronica is way, way worse. I too wonder what her anvil is gonna be.

JudyB:

What comedy? Lol. I think they mis-billed this as a comedy. Seems more like a drama with funny bits thrown in here and there.

fishknits:

So agree with you about Yuri. Enough I say. Throw the book at him! I'm with you about Elias too.

TJ:

Completely agree with you. Very sad epi, no comedy whatsoeva! I too want his anvil already.

Karen:

Agree with you too. Rog so didn't deserve this. As far as what TN is next, we really don't know at this point.

Vivi:

It's good you missed this one. Did I just say that? Rog's scenes were just horrific. I wouldn't have watched it either, but had to recap it.

Julia:

I too like the picture of Val and Elias video chatting. I also agree they could have done scenes by video so as not to have contact with Certain People.

fishknits:

I lol'd about your pronunciation.I do like the Spanish pronunciation much better.

Ithabill:

So agree with you about Chatita. I do like her little schtick about always forgetting something. Her chamberpot scenes are the best though!

Cheryl:

So with you about where's the comedy damit! The only scenes I find funny are Julio and Aida trying to do the deed and constantly being interrupted.

Pablo:

Keep those nails sharp. You get the beyotch splapfest they showed in the previews. I am looking forward to that!

Julia:

I too don't get the way they cut things. I remember from AV they showed graffiti on the side of a building that was ahem, nastay, and cut the main couple's love scenes to shreds. Go figure. And as far as this being a family show? If I had a small child, like say the age of Val, I wouldn't let them watch this one y punto!

Just a few of my thoughts. I too agree with all of you about Rog. He so didn't deserve this type of beatdown. I was really liking the way he was atoning for all he'd done to his brother, Chucho, Alma and Val, the doll decapitation comes to mind with Val. Not only was this a horrific scene, it was so mismatched. Yuri is a huge thug and Rog in comparison is a lot smaller. What I don't get is that we all know how dangerous Yuri is. They didn't have to drive home the point by this beatdown. The violence in this one, especially against Alma, Val, and Rog is way over the top. Maybe this producer thought this was okay because of the way violence is portrayed here in the U.S. on tv and video games. This is supposed to be a comedy. It's certainly not one to me. It's more of a drama.

The funniest TN in recent memory is Dinero. Now that one was funny. Sure it had drama but the things Rafa got into , and the screaming Viki, Viki, Viki, though tiresome were funny.

Thanks, Madelaine. You really had your work cut out for you this time - this epi was unpleasant to watch. Thanks for not dwelling too much on the negative, because there sure was plenty.

There's nothing like watching a man be used as a pinata. Ha, ha, hilarious, not. I feel semi-confident that Rog will survive, but don't see how he and Paty can have a remotely happy ending unless Cantu figures a way to get him out of prison. Does Rog have any additional info about Nick Donovan that he can bargain with?

I have no idea what Virus is up to... oh hey, I have an idea. It's her recording that got Rog in trouble, but what about Nick? Have they nabbed him yet? If he's still free and he finds out that she got him on tape too, her days will be numbered. Let's hope it's a small number, and that Valentina is nowhere nearby when her number comes up.

Daisy - "fuzzy end of the lollipop" - LOL!!

Now Killeronica, she looked like she was having a change of heart, but I sooo don't trust her as far as I can see her. I keep remembering when she put up that "Wall of Doom" she included Val up there. I don't want her anywhere near Val at all. I think Chucho is smart enough to make sure she is never alone with Killeronica. I just don't have a good feeling. I too hope Killeronica gets the anvil with no one near her when she gets it. She deserves a huge piecart, filled with her well deserved anvils, all by herself!

Wellllll Killeronica may actually have been sincere... sincerely lonely... but again, it would still be all about HER and how crummy she feels not having Valentina around when she wants her, or whatever it is that upsets Killeronica.

It is, and never has been, about being worried about Vale's welfare, wanting to do something nice for her, or anything like that. So, maybe the tears were for real, but I doubt there was any change of heart.

Totally agree. Maybe Killeronica is now to the point where she realizes she has lost everything except the money. I agree with you about it being all about Killeronica. She MUST BE OBEYED or else y punto. I don't think she gives a fig about Val, or she wouldn't have put her up there on that "Wall of Doom".

Veronica doesn't give a flying damn about anyone and in the long term I don't think she even cares much about herself. I'm betting on her committing suicide, possibly in front of Jesus and Valentina.

Vero: Murder/suicide? What better revenge against Jesus than to take his child away permanently.

Realistically speaking, Elias would have come back during all this drama. Barring that, Jesus should have sent Vale to him.

Liked that they had Susana’s character really upset about Rog. That was a realistic reaction.

Poor Rog. I was beginning to like him.

And who would have thought Cantu would be so upset.

Kudos to Maria Elisa—good job in that last scene.

Nanette

UA: I thought suicide at first, but when I read the recap and what she'd actually said, I thought maybe murder/suicide.

I know this is a minor point. And to my credit, I did think of it before his beatdown. When Rog gets out of jail (I'm assuming he will-unless this TN goes even more off the rails), what is going to do for a living? He can't go back to Avon. He'll have a record. They can't live on Pato's receptionist salary.

Urban:

I never thought of that. Good Heavens, please writers don't go that route, please!

Nanette,

I was quite surprised by Cantu's reaction myself. I thought the guy was a big joke, but he actually really cares about his buddy Rog. Pato did have a tremendous reaction. But I did like the way Ferny and Alma both held on to her. Speaking of going off the rails, how much more jumping of the shark can this TN go? We've had enough of the sturm and drang already!

Rog has a good education and some practical business experience. It's not the most wholesome business experience, but it can probably translate to something constructive. There's got to be a legitimate way to apply the skills that are involved in money-laundering.

OR, if he has any money left after all of this (or if a friend will float him a loan), Rog could start a new business - an upscale kennel for doggies to stay when their humans are out of town.

Oh, I laughed about the kennel, but I can see Rog doing that. I bet Chucho would float him a loan, now that they are somewhat buds.

Oh, yes; PLEASE can Chucho send Val to live with Elias until Vero self-destructs? I mean, Val's cute and all, but she isn't really THAT interesting as a character, and I wouldn't miss her terribly if she took some time off. Plus, then we wouldn't have to see the idiocy of the romance with the smarmy tweenage lounge lizard.

I think Chucho and Delia have way better chemistry than Chucho and Alma. Maybe they should all shuffle again before the finale, and Chucho and Delia can end up together, and Alma with Elias.

Julia: I would miss Vale. I really like her interactions with Jesus, especially. However, they haven't utilized her that much lately, so her removal wouldn't be too jarring. I agree about the creepy Kiko situ. I think we're supposed to think of them as mini-Jesus/Alma. Ugh!

I really thought these writers would go with a pairing(for kids that is) of a Temo/Mili Amors type thing, like UFCS did. I agree Kiko is wayyy to old for Val and those scenes are creepy.

I'm at a point where, as long as Valentina doesn't elope with Quico or get killed, I figure she will come out okay no matter what happens to her. After all, if she hasn't turned rotten yet after all she's been through so far, she ought to be able to survive the next couple of weeks of nonsense.
