Por siempre mi amor #17 12/26/13: A Romance Blossoms, Another Romance is Blooming, One More Schoolyard Brawl and Gema is Still Easy
Good evening, and Happy Holidays to all.
Ayer- Tita is not happy that Sucia picked Aranza up from school, when she has been caring for Aranza in her father’s absence. Aranza says that Sucia called Lucha but Tita let’s Aranza know that is not the way that you do things. Aranza calls Tita and Lucha liars, says that Sonia didn’t cause a ruckus at the beach, she was hospitalized, she is not crazy and has the IV marks to prove it. She was not with her father and they want to keep Sucia and Aranza apart. Tita is done and can’t believe how Aranza is speaking to her (neither can I, if I spoke like that to any adult as a child I would have found either myself or my teeth on the floor) and tells Aranza, that she doesn’t lie; if she doesn’t believe her, ask her grandfather or father, what really happened.
Art explains to Isa, his relationship with Sucia and how manipulative Sucia is. Art is appreciative of Sucia’s “love” for Aranza but he doesn’t want Aranza to be used in Sucia’s little game. Art let Sucia know that under no certain terms was he ever interested in her and she left on the first flight this morning. Isa confesses that she is a little scared becaseu they seem to be moving fast. She can’t believe that she was so in love with Feo and no she feels something stronger for him. He liked the- something stronger piece. Art says, - let’s give us a chance. They kiss and the sparklers light up the beach.
Hoy
Art can’t believe that this trip changed his life. Isa summarizes that the feelings that she had in the hospital elevator and the mix up with their luggage at the airport, they were destined to meet. The romantic experiences that they have lived before, buried their past romances, closed the circle of love and they are now prepared for a new beginning/ encounter. Isa is a little apprehensive. She doesn’t want to open her heart and get it torn apart again. Art tells her that she has nothing to worry about and that he will never hurt her. They have a true love. Fate is on their side. He will protect her and be at her side always. He will be the man born to be at her side.
Bruno and Isa lament over the fact that Isa wont give Art a second chance. What a shame!! Art is a good man. Bruno wants to talk about he and Gaby. Gaby tells him what you see is what you get. I’m an independent lady that often scares men away. Gaby loves her freedom and Bruno loves her independence and frankness. She is looking for a relationship with mutual respect. Bruno can handle that and has a little “friendly” gift for her. It’s the turquoise bracelet from the shop. Gaby is flattered.
I don’t believe it-what a beautiful detail. Oh Bruno, you king, you, I’m enchanted and I think that I’m tearing down a piece of that wall between us.
Gema and Dante are at an exclusive restaurant and pass a couple at the next table. The woman is gossiping but the man (Edgar, the lawyer) can’t take his eyes off of Gema. The woman reminds him that- hello, I’m here, but the man recognizes Gema as Isa’s servant. The woman doesn’t believe him; she is waiting for him to introduce Gema as one of his cousins. Hmm. The woman continues her story.
Tita tells Lucha that Aranza thinks that they are liars, thanks to Sucia. Lucha and Tia are going to put their heads together to be one step ahead of Sucia; Caigamos en oracion.
It’s a magical night and every detail was taken into account. Isa and Art share a kiss and Gaby and Bruno catch them. Art let’s them know that they are a couple. they are going to give love a chance. They are going to go dancing but Art wants to call home first. His mannerisms are so humble and romantic. Art calls and Lucha answers, Tita snatches the phone, and thank goodness, she tells him that Sucia went to the school to pick up Aranza and Aranza came home and was very aggressive. Sucia has put Aranza against Tita and Lucha. Art can’t believe how Sucia had the nerve to show up at the school. He told her not to go near Aranza. When he gets back he will deal seriously with Aranza tomorrow. Art offers an apology and Tita says that its not Aranza’s fault but Sucia’s. Art is seething on the inside but thankfully Isa will help him to ease his anger for now.
Sucia tells her friends what she did and her friend tells her that it’s perverse to include the child and claim what does not belong to her. The maid interrupts with a phone call from FEO. She tells Feo that Sucia said that she is not there and Sucia snatches the phone and speaks to Feo. Feo is tired of her denying him, so he is going to give her name to the police. Never mind, Sucia will go and see Feo tomorrow. Sucia’s friend is watching and listening it all.
Meanwhile at Isa’s- Dante is drugging Easy Gema with his favorite drink. She doesn’t want to drink anymore she had enough at the restaurant. But she is so easy to convince, so the next thing that we know, she is chugging down the drink.
Gaby is very happy for her friend. Isa confesses that Art was a victim just like her. Gaby shows off her bracelet, that was gift from Bruno, they are not a couple yet, she still loves her freedom but Bruno is the first man to click with her. Yep, that wall is coming down.
Isa wants to take it slow but emotions say otherwise. Have fun, Isa, Gaby tells her friend. She deserves to be happy.
Tita wants Aranza to listen to her side because she listened to Sucia. Tita tells her side of the story and it seems like Aranza is ignoring her. Tita lets her know that eavesdropping is bad manners and Sucia went to Puerto Azul. Tita tells Aranza that she and only she will pick her up from school. Aranza says ah ha, instead of yes and at that time Tita should have checked her. I understand that Aranza is grieving but she is slowly becoming a brat.
Mauricio comes to Andrea’s house to invite to have some coffee and is happily greeted by Esteban. She has to drop him to school and he will accompany her. Mean Min is watching from the back and kisses her saint and I thought that I saw a smile.
Art and Isa have a tasteful blast at the beach. They are making romantic memories.
At lunch, the fun four share a delicious lunch. They are leaving, to go back to Mexico City and Isa will call Art when she arrives, and Art will see Isa, for Tita's remodel, the hotel’s remodel and not only for business. They are really a cute couple.
Elsa Quevedo is Sucia’s name on the ID is at the prison to see Feo.
At school –Daphne is asking for another beating. She asks Aranza who are you going to believe? My father- says Aranza. She teases Aranza for believing her father; and calls her fool, the other girl justifies that Aranza should believe her father. Aranza says that her dad doesn’t lie, he went on the trip alone, and Daphne starts mimicking her-saying my daddy doesn’t lie, did he go on the trip, yes, it was for business, no it was becaseu he doesn’t love you, no one loves since your mom died. Daphne pushes Aranza down and the next thing the girls are rolling on the grass. (Why is there little to no adult supervision at this school during recees?) Poor Esteban is trying to pull Daphne away.
So Sucia gave a false name so that she and Feo would not be linked. Sucia tells him that everything is not going well, he doesn’t believe her. She is enjoying life while he is locked up. Uh no, she was hospitalized at Puerto Azul and when she was released she found out that Art was interested in someone else. He wants her to get him out of prison or he will start singing. She is tried of his threats. When does he think that she will get the money to get him out of jail? She will flee the country and he threatens to kill her before she boards the plane. Her dad knows many lawyers.
She has other news for him- the woman (putting it mildly) the beyotch that took her man is his ex. Isa is going to pay. They will plan revenge.
Tita goes to Sucia’s house but Sucia is not there. She left very early which is rare for her but she will let Sucia know that Tita- Aranza’s abuela came to se her.
Mauricio asks Andrea not to hide anything else from him about Feo, Feo is dangerous and she can’t handle him alone. He knows that she has received calls and was followed home. Please don’t hide anything else from Mauricio. Did she see the face of the man who attacked her? It was too dark and his face was covered. Andrea is afraid for herself and her kids. Mauricio assures her that they are cowards, things will change. She needs to start the divorce paperwork.
Gonzalo shows Feo the pictures of the fake jewelry; Feo insults him and lets him know that Isa had lots of jewelry. Since Dante is still at the house and Isa wont be back until tomorrow, Feo has a plan.
In the Principal’s office Aranza explains why she was fighting with Daphne (little miserable chippie). They have to wait for their parents to pick them up. Aranza says that her dad is away.
Art gets the phone from school at the airport.
Back at the hotel, the phone rings, Isa answers thinking that it’s Art and its Feo. He starts his crap- I knew that you would miss me. Isa is terrified. (She needs a whistle and she should blow it into the phone, when he calls- what a jerk!) How did he know where to call me???
Mauricio wants Isa to know what is going on. Mauricio summons a lawyer (the same man from the restaurant) to meet with Andrea- she tells him that Feo he is calling her, sending her flowers, threatening her and someone attacked her outside of her building and she wants to start the divorce proceedings. Based on this info, the divorce will be easy and he may be away for a while longer.
Isa is horrified to know that Feo knows of her whereabouts even though he is in jail.
Gaby tells her that he has an accomplice.
Aranza doesn’t want to be friends with Daphne and the feeling is mutual. Daphne thinks that Aranza is a fool. Daphne’s other tells the Principal that her husband left them, and he is not providing any financial support. The school will offer counseling- FINALLY for Daphne. Art meets Daphne’s mother. Daphne’s mother looks pleased to meet Art.
Gaby calls Edgar the same lawyer that Andrea is talking to about how Feo called Isa and scared her. Isa is terrified. The lawyer sfeels that someone is working for Feo. The lawyer will speak to the warden to restrict Feo’s phone calls. Someone is going to follow Andrea to find out who attacked her. Isa is willing to file charges but it may not be necessary.
The contractor tells Tita that he is almost finished with the downstairs and he is ready to start working on the upper level.
Bruno returns home and Tita asks him about work. She knows that something it up with her baby. She can tell by his eyes. Bruno is in love! Caigamos en oracion.
The girls’ behaviors have changed and their punishment will be not to participate in after school programs, but after school class.
Coming attractions:
Aranza runs away to Sucia’s house. Art is confronting Sucia, and Sucia pulls a dramatic victim act in front of Aranza- Must see, eye-rolling TV.

Terror by phone! Feo is the worst of the worst. I too wish Isa had had a whistle, Feo would be deaf for sure. Feo just won't stop.
I feel for Ara, I really do, but she is turning into a brat. She won't even believe Tita, who has never lied to her. So-Not is playing on all of Ara's insecurities. I wish there were a way for someone who knows So-Not to recognize her on that bank video so she would be out of Art and Ara's lives, too soon for that though.
Art and Isa are so cute together and so is Gaby and Bruno, I'm glad Gaby is letting the wall down.
Someone mentioned the lipstick that SG is wearing in this TN and I too agree, it is the wrong color for her. She is very pale and it makes her face seem even paler. She needs a soft natural color.
I want So-Not to be caught in her web of lies. I don't like what the avances showed at all! I hope Art grabs Ara and gets out of there.

This is so good, TJ! The perfect accompaniment to my morning coffee. I loved the comment about a back-talking child ending up with teeth on the floor!

I wonder if Art is finally going to get Aranza the therapy she needs, but the therapist is somehow unwittingly going play into Sucia's plans. Considering we've got at least a ten year jump ahead I'm hoping Sonia's antics don't start to feel repetitive and that Art and Isa don't start getting dumb.

We'll have us a real terror on our hands when Ara grows up thanks to Sonia. I would give Art a pass missing some of the subtleties in Ara's behavior because he is grieving too, except he is frolicking on the beach with hottie Isa. (SG rocks a bikini and beautiful so I get it)

Forgot to mention- I will cut the teachers some slack on the playground brawl. Fights happen quickly even with adults around. But leaving the two girls in the office by themselves for so long with no supervision is asking for trouble.

As for the title, aren't there two romances blooming? Bruno and Gabi, and Mau and Andy. Notice all the times Mau took Andy's hand as they spoke over coffee. These two romances may not be as dramatic and full of wine and flowers, as Isa and Art, but they are definitely making progress.

Isa never watched all the bank videos after she saw the one with F-No, so she never did see Gonzo and Sonia cashing her checks. It was only Mau and Edgar who watched all the videos with the police. Even Gaby didn't watch all the tapes. So that's why they didn't recognize Sonia.

TJ- I get what you are saying about the small courtyard and it hit me (remember--I'm slow) that this is the SECOND school yard brawl between those two. I would be interested in knowing what sort of out of class supervisory duties Mexican elementary teachers have. Pure professional curiosity.
