REINA Viernes y Lunes

Wow, what a couple of episodes. Finally Flores got his comeuppance! I never thought he could get that charge of killing Fatima and Mohammed to stick to Teresa. And the Judge working for Oleg, poetic justice. I was really hoping they would demote Flores to the dead file room, but he got a job in another City. Let's hope it isn't Marabella!

Neice: I so agree with you that Flores should have been keeping track of Juarez after he got out of jail.

I just knew Dris' fate wouldn't be pretty. His hanging on the bridge was just horrid. Ratas is the devil I swear! He gives a fig for no one and I'm surprised he even listens to his Tio Epifanio.

Epifanio is one complex character. I was amazed when he said the younger members coming up in the cartel gave a rat's patoot about anyone, decapitating and killing women and children, well, isn't that what he did? Didn't he order those killings of Teresa's friend, her husband and children? And I thought he was like a congressman for his district in line for the Presidency of Mexico. I kind of like what he did to the President though, the guy was messing with a 14 year old girl. I had to laugh when he asked the President if he would vote for Epifanio in the next election!

So now Teresa is using planes to move her drugs and Batman is using submarines. Interesting. And all of them are in bed with the Columbians so to speak. How ironic, I must say.

Now Willy Rangel is back. He is another obsessed one with Teresa. He is still mad she wouldn't give him the agenda, but I must say, Teresa never lied to him about that. When he confronted her with that gun, she didn't have it anymore.

Oh, and Epifanio is still sticking with his word about Teresa being off limits. I still think he loves her in his own way. And not as a daughter either!

Can't wait to see the next episode which is on on Friday!

Thanks, Madelaine for your terrific, as always, comment. I wish I had more time to comment about La Reina but I'm half crazed trying to do all the work my assistant, who went to Mexico for the whole holiday, usually does for me.

Anyone know what the tattoo on Teresa's left shoulder represents? It looks like the symbol for pi.

REINA GENERAL

There is an episode of REINA on Thursday. Since I watch in late night I accidentally put up Friday instead, sorry for the error.

Variopinta:

Yes, that is a PI symbol on Teresa's shoulder. Math geeks love the symbol and I wonder if the actress had it temporarily put on her shoulder, cause the character is a math geek, she is so good with numbers.

I did look up that tattoo of Kate del Castillo's and evidently it is real and has nothing to do with math. It has to do with the greek letter for P, which means something close to the heart.

But does Teresa even know that Epifanio killed Guero, Chino, his wife and kids? I thought that she thought Guero was killed by enemies.

NovelaMan:

Epifanio was talking to Batman, about the young hoods in the cartel killing women and children. She knows I think deep down. Epifanio never told her he killed Guerro but Ratas tried to kill her at the church in Sinaloa, and he went after her in Miami. She knows Ratas is his nephew and so I think she knows.

REINA

On Friday during primetime they are showing two hours of Santa Diabla, so our episode of Reina is being shown at midnight. Thought I'd let Y'all know.

Reina

it was discussed in TW, on the original showing, that these Colombian scenes appeared to be using a double for Kate, which would explain why there wasn't much of her here, and made the whole thing (for me anyway) confusing.

Málaga, the city Teresa and Pati bought their place,
an interesting place,

REINA Jueves

Another great episode! I had to laugh when Pote recognized Teresa at the partay in Columbia. He thought he was seeing things. Funny how Batman realizes that Willy is DEA. I think Batman knew when Willy took Guero's plane he must have been working for the DEA. And the Pirnas made an appearance too. Funny how they are scared of Teresa and the Russians. Everyone is in bed with the Columbians so to speak.

Willy is another one obsessed with Teresa. He can't let that agenda go. I like how Veronica told him all these years he wanted to bring down Epifanio and now he wants to bring Teresa down and I was curious when Veronica asked Willy if he felt something for Teresa and he quickly said no. Now he is off to Spain for his new assignment, interesting.

Batman couldn't let well enough alone. When Epifanio finally gives him some power he sends the boys off to deal with Teresa. They should know better, especially with those Russians. Gato and Ratas were practically salivating and Pote kept shaking his head.

Teresa will never forget her running away in Mexico. That was a great scene, when she realized the "boyz" were looking for her when she spied them in that shop window on that street in Spain.

So Conejo is now out of prison too.

Can't wait for tonight to see how Patti handles those "boyz" cause she is one fearless woman.

REINA Viernes

It was a repeat of Thursday's episode. I caught some more stuff though.

Seems Willy is married. Veronica asked him why he got that light in his eyes when he talked about Teresa, HA! He answered too quickly.

Batman and Pote recognized Willy at The Columbians partay, and the Pirnas, especially the son, Siso, can't stand Teresa cause she was working with Fisterra. I liked the Papa's response, they are all dead, but Siso is alive.

Ratas is a loose cannon. I liked what Epifanio thought about him when he left the room. How long would he have to bear that cross? I think. Ratas is a cross to bear and then some.

Can't wait to see what happens on Monday. Happy Weekend Everyone, and I hope you stay safe and warm.

REINA

Thanks, Madelaine. I enjoyed your comment. I also re-watched the episode on Friday and got more out of it.

I'm probably mistaken, but I thought the scene in Medellin had more to it. If it's correct that they used a double for Kate, that makes sense. They mostly showed her from the back. I thought I had remembered her negotiating with Sanchez-Godoy about taking the 15 tons of coke, but they probably haven't cut scenes.

Kate was fabulous in the scene where she notices Pote, Gato Fierros and Ratas in the square in Malaga. Not a word of dialogue, but stark terror personified.

Yes, Monday's episode should be very exciting.

REINA

Ay, Teresa spotting the three guys - terrifying! And at a bookstore, normally such a relaxing, peaceful place.

I do like that Pote, unlike the other two, is not loco and is more about sticking to business. That was cute when Ratas teased Pote at the bar for not letting loose (or something like that) and Pote stood his ground. Maybe between the three of them they will bump each other off.

I don't have a read on Batman. Can't tell whether he trusts Epifanio and what he'd do if Epifanio betrayed him. One thing for sure, Batman's memory isn't the best. The red hair should've helped him remember Willy sooner.
