Mentir Para Vivir #73 Mon 1/20/14 “Have you taken your pills?” “Have you taken your pills?” “Have you taken your pills?”

It's not a broken record, it's only Oriana yapping her mouth all day long.

Madhilde joins Cesar and Fabiola at the table and asks the servant for her lunch. After briefly inquiring Cesar about his work and probably figuring out there is not much that she can complain about when it comes to him, she starts on Fabiola: what are you going to do, when will you get married, yada yada yada. As Cesar speaks up for his sister, Fabiola herself says to mommy dearest that if she has nothing nice to say, she better shut up. This rubs Maddy the wrong way – she is her mother, how dare she talk like that? Again Cesar steps in, warns Maddy that he came back to Paloma’s to protect Fabi (so Maddy lives there, too?); she was never a good mother, she enjoys humiliating others too much, especially them, her kids. Then, they both get up and go, leaving Maddy with her usual cara de indignada.

Oriana is on the phone with Marilu, who assures her that Alina is well taken care off and very much loved. Oriana thanks her for all that she is doing and asks Mari to tell Ric that Berenice, the nurse, will come to attend Seb.

Raquel calls Jose Luis to let him know that she luuvs her new apartment (I don’t understand why she’s so happy, since she wanted him to buy a house and she got a rented apartment. Beggars can’t be choosers, I guess). JL tells her that he has to go away for business for a few days, and no, he doesn’t have the time to see her before he leaves. She invites him to dinner and a sexy dessert when he comes back, but he’s so ready to get rid of her, he barely has the patience not to hang up on the fool.
Oriana arrives and her first question is: did you take your pills? Sure he did, everything is taken care off. When Berenice says her goodbye and goes, JL behaves almost like a normal person.

Ric and Piero are both depressed because their love lives are a mess. Ric is upset because he thinks Oriana is forgetting him, her husband is always around, and they live together, and same old, same old. Piero is depressed because Fabiola doesn’t love him. Mariano, the voice of un-horny reason, suggests that maybe, if things didn’t work out, the respective ladies are not meant for them.
No, no, no, Ricardo keeps pouting, why did Oriana change so much all of a sudden? Maybe this is part of her plan, Mariano dares to offer an explanation.
No, no, no, why wouldn’t she tell me? Maybe she couldn’t, Mariano tries again, why don’t you check in with Homero, see what he has to say about your lady love’s intimate life with her husband.
Ricardo likes this suggestion, so he calls the big H. Yes, Oriana will be away with JL for a while and it’s all good, because maybe she can find out something about his shady business, Homero shares with Ric. But won’t she be in danger, surrounded by all those mafiosos, Ricardo worries. No, not at all, H denies any reason for concern.
Then Ric tells him about Seb’s health problems and the way Fabi is affected by them, too. H looks impactado, I’m guessing he’ll have a chat with Leo soon enough.

At the airport, waiting to board the plane, Oriana asks JL if he took his pills. He hasn’t, but he does it with her help. He mentions a real estate project that he’ll take to his boss and Oriana reminds him he said he’s getting out of the nasty business. Yes, he did say that, but it’s not that easy. And no, he can’t go to the police, because they also have the problem of Oriana’s fake identity and no matter how much money Paloma has, it won’t be enough to help her out. So JL’s solution is for him to keep up with the illegal work.

Ric is watching over Alina, as she sleeps. He looks and acts as if Oriana is already dead and buried, he even says “Thank God I still have you (meaning Alina), since I’ve now lost your mother.” This is heard by Marilu, who looks worried/ disturbed/ sad – all at the same time.
Later on, she goes to Ric’s room and they chat about the situation. She thinks he should try to get used to the idea that maybe Oriana is forever gone from his life. Ric gets the sudden epiphany that maybe Marilu is hurting, too, and thanks her for her sacrifice. He says that he has been very selfish until now, only thinking about himself, but he can now see how much she hurts, too. Marilu tries to reassure him, she is happy to help; but what will happen if Oriana decides to stay married with her husband for real, will Ric give her Alina back? (Why would Marilu even go there? Hmmm…)
Of course Ric will return Alina, he promised Oriana his help. And will they get a divorce, Marilu further inquiries. Ric says that no, they won’t but wouldn’t yes be the obvious answer here? Anyway, Marilu asks if they could, maybe, somehow, someway, rekindle their relationship. Ric doesn’t answer to this, he just hugs her, while she looks on, at his wedding band, which is on the table.

At the hotel in Santo Domingo, Oriana wants to make sure she and JL won’t share a room. No, they won’t, he rented a suit with two bedrooms. The last thing he wants to do is force her.
The next morning, as Oriana is still asleep, JL comes into her room, fresh out of the shower, wearing only a towel around his waist. He is all playful and giddy, tries to pull the sheets, but Oriana immediately gets tense and covers herself up to the chin. (This Oriana girl must be a little frigid, turning down such hotness. Who is the crazy one now?)
He doesn’t understand her reaction, they’ve seen one another naked a million times before. Have you taken your pills, Oriana asks.
Yes, I did, and we’re seeing my boss shortly, he wants to meet you.

Ric is with Alina at school, she scolds him for not having checked on her homework the night before (what an exemplary child). After Alina gets inside, Ric talks to one of the teachers about the suffering Alina must be going through because her mom is gone. Could a school shrink talk to her? Sure, the teacher says, no problem.

Piero is accompanying Fabiola to the doctor, she is nervous, he promises to stand by her no matter what.

Mike and some guy Edwin, open JL’s safe, searching for the video Joaquin wants. But all they find are some documents and the photo of the Falcon family.

Berenice has arrived at Ric’s house. Marilu and Fidelia explain to her that Seb is a difficult person. She can imagine that, she’s had a lot of experience with similar patients, who took the news badly and started acting out. Marilu warns Berenice that Seb was never a nice fellow, he acted all devilish when he was not sick, too.
When she meets Seb, Berenice looks like she can handle him. He agrees to take his medicine if she helps him with his bath; she is only indulging him, I think Seb has met his match.

Arriving at Caribbean Investment Company, Oriana notices the prosperity and concludes that money laundering must be a very profitable business. JL asks her to stop being a smarty pants.
Joaquin and his brother (don’t remember the character’s name, is it something with an S?) welcome the couple. Both J and Luis Gatica seem fascinated by Oriana, she looks nothing like the rameras (sluts) they usually hang out with. JL looks very uncomfortable, but Oriana has the diplomacy to smile, which means that she also has a sense of humor – unlike the rameras, obviously.
Taking a seat next to JL, Oriana tells Joaquin and Luis Gatica that she’s not working right now and that her daughter is back in Mexico with some friends. Joaquin asks Luis Gatica to take Oriana sightseeing, after she admits that she doesn’t know the city. JL doesn’t want to let her go, but he has no choice. After they arrange to meet later on for lunch, JL and Joaquin are left alone and JL explains his new business idea.
Joaquin likes the idea, what he doesn’t appreciate is JL’s insistence that once this business is done, he’s out.

Marino is telling Ric that he thinks he’s obsessed with Oriana. So much so, that he’ll do something stupid. Ric can’t help it, he can’t stop imagining Oriana and JL naked, together, making love. Mariano asks his friend (for the millionth time) to try to deal with it; those two are married, they have a child together, in this story Ric is the intruder.
Ric accepts his obsession, but doesn’t seem willing to do anything to control it. That’s when Mariano snaps and, accompanied by Viewerville’s round of applause, tells Ric that he’s had it with all this non- stop whining. If Ric wants to be worried, he should be worried for Oriana’s safety, not for what she does in her bed. It’s always the same with him and Mariano is tired of hearing it.
Ric’s reaction: I wonder if Oriana is thinking about me, too. Sure she is, Alina is with you, Mariano says and then asks about Marilu: isn’t she bothered by the fact that she plays the nanny part?
Ric explains the talk they had the other night:  Marilu asked if he wanted to divorce her when the deal was over and he said no. Mariano thinks this was a pity lie and Ric says he now realizes how selfish he has been, never thinking about Marilu when he suggested this deal.
Mariano has to go, he’s setting up a clinic with the church; not that Ric asked, but he’s decided to re start his medical profession.

Lucina visits Raquel’s new apartment and congratulates her for her achievement. She also reminds her that she needs to go get those tests done and once again Raquel denies that she ever slept with Seb; and it’s not like this will start an epidemic (heh). Lucina asks her to treat the matter seriously, because she’s slept with many men. This prompts Raquel to attack Lucina once again, by using her past and saying that now only Ruben wants her. Lucina decides not to bother with Raquel anymore. After they agree that Raquel’s brothel bedroom at Casa Bonita can be rented out, Raquel does ask about Seb, but Lucina doesn’t know or care about him. Then she storms out.

Oriana and Luis Gatica have arrived at the restaurant where they are all supposed to have lunch. Ric calls her and she pretends she is talking to Paloma; he tells her how jealous and scared he is but she has to cut it short.
Luis Gatica is blatantly hitting on her, calling her “mi reina” and offering her champagne. Oriana won’t drink with him, but tries to find out how JL got the Zorro nickname. Luic Gatica continues his lecherous behavior, wondering out loud how could a beautiful woman like her be with someone like Zorro (Excuse me, have you seen JL getting out of the shower, water dripping and all? Ha, didn’t think so!))
He thinks a woman as beautiful as she is deserves a palace in Italy, an apartment in New York, a house God knows where. And with that, his hand moves up her thigh, her hand slaps his face and JL’s fist punches his jaw, all in the blink on an eye. Luis Gatica draws his gun on JL, Joaquin draws his gun on Luis Gatica and JL quickly takes Oriana away. Joaquin grumbles at his brother, calls him a brainless idiot and then leaves; Luis Gatica is pissed, he promises to one day kill his brother, no matter what.

Mike calls Joaquin, tells him they couldn’t find the video that JL has on him. All they could find in the safe were a photo, some fake passports, documents of a Colombian house and the papers that proved Oriana’s signature had been faked. Joaquin has no use for any of these, he’s sure that JL has the video hidden somewhere in the house. Mike explains that they searched everywhere, but suggests that maybe JL’s girlfriend might know something. Joaquin asks Mike to start investigating this, what is he waiting for.
Oh, I can’t wait for Mike to start “investigating” Raquel! Must see television!

Homero is looking at Fabiola’s portrait when Leo shows up. He tells Leo about Fabi’s infection and expects his grandson to stop going out with her. But Leo says he’s not that insensitive, she’s a victim and she needs help. Homero insists that this is too much (I can’t blame him). Leo admits that he’s not in love with Fabiola (he isn’t? then we don’t have a triangle, after all?), but he can’t abandon her now, when she needs all his sympathy and attention.
Leo storms off, upset, after throwing an invitation to his exposition at Homero.

Obviously upset by what has happened, Oriana once again fights with JL over the fact that he started working for someone like Joaquin. She thinks their life was very good in Colombia, JL tells her his legal salary was very low. He will set up this new real estate business and then he’ll leave. When Oriana reminds him that’s what he said before, too, he gets angry, says that things didn’t turn out how they were supposed to. Oriana wants to know if he took his pills; if he did and still reacts this way, maybe he needs to change them. JL accuses her of wanting to have him as a zombie (I can’t really argue with him here), but then admits that he had a drink with Joaquin because he couldn’t refuse him. This only makes Oriana more upset. JL leaves, saying that he still has some business to finish up with Joaquin and they’ll be leaving the next day.
Outside, he looks furious, upset because he slipped into his usual rage.

Marilu and Fidelia take Alina to see Paloma. They talk about Seb staying in the bungalow and then about Oriana being with JL. Marilu says that she thinks JL is bipolar and she explains some of the symptoms. Paloma is worried for Oriana and for Ric, too. Poor Ric, he loves Oriana so much, this is such a hard time for him, Fidelia adds, while Marilu boils with displeasure.

Back at Joaquin’s office, JL refuses a drink and explains what they’ll do next. While Joaquin plays with his drums, making it nearly impossible for him to talk, JL pitches his new business plan: take out all the money they invested in Arte Folclor and use it for their new deal. If Trejo Bonfil goes bankrupt, that is definitely not their concern.

Ric comes to see Seb in the bungalow and they have a nice chat, for a change. Seb thinks he will die and wants Ric to let him die at the corner of the street, like a mutt. But Ric can’t do this, because he loves Seb, even if maybe he made mistakes while Seb was growing up. He always tried to lead a decent life, but now he is miserable because the woman he loves has returned to her husband. He quickly briefs Seb on the reason for his marriage and Alina staying with them. Seb asks if he can’t fall for Marilu again; after all, she’s very pretty.
Yes, but love comes from the heart, Ric explains, with stars blinking in his eyes, it’s not just chemistry, it’s so much more than that and blah blah blah. Seb is surprised to see Ric so love struck, especially since he always thought he was ice cold.
How is Fabi doing, Seb wants to know. Well, alone, pregnant and sick, Ric sums up the situation. Doesn’t Seb care about his kid, does he want this child to grow up, find out he is a bastard and suffer as much as he did when he found out? This seems to strike a nerve with Seb.

Ruben tells Lucina that his divorce is final and she wants to celebrate. But he’s in no mood for that, because he’s very worried for Fabiola. The next day they are supposed to go to the hospital, to find out if the baby is infected, too. Lucina doubts a little bit, but finally tells him that even if she’s not yet sure, she thinks that Raquel might have slept with Seb and then with Cesar.
Ruben is shocked, wants to call Cesar immediately, but Lucina advices him to wait until the morning talk to him directly.

Oriana is in bed, pretending to be asleep, when JL comes in her room and jumps in bed with her, saying that he knows she’s faking.

Fabiola receives some good news; I think the baby is ok.

Somebody was so fast. I am reading now, then morning I will write a comment! :)

I am not waiting until morning after this hilarious recap. I smiled all your notice in the bracket.

Now was the first time, when I felt that we have chance for a Marilu-Lil' Richard action.

Finally, we heard to speak Luis Gatica, until now I thought he is mute. But now we know that, he is worse than Joaquin, and Samuel is very agressive womanizer rat. It was disgusting when he caressed Ori's thighs under the table and smiled.

Oriana and the broken record. I thought fundamental source of problem is JL drinks too much alcohol. Drugs and alcohol at once dangerous combination

I'm going to guess that JL's end might be the combination of drugs and alcohol, which assumes that he's taking the pills. He might be faking that.

Joaquin's brother's name is Samuel.

Cesar does not deserve to be infected. PLEASE!

LOL! Great recap, Adriana.

Yes. I do believe that Ori wants to keep JL drugged up, like a zombie. Unfortunately, the drugs don't seem to be enough to keep his anger or lust at bay.

Thanks you, Mariano! Thank you for screaming at Ricky what we have been screaming at our tv screens for a while now. Yes, Ricky, please channel all that angst into worrying about Ori's safety, not who's in her bed.

Looks like Sebas is showing small signs of redemption. I'll wait till I see some more change before deciding how I feel about that.

Thank you, Lucina, for making sure Cesar knows he's at risk, even though Raqui won't do the right thing.

That was quite the domino effect sequence of events: Sam runs his hands up Ori's thigh; Ori slaps Sam; JL punches Sam; Sam pulls a gun on JL; Joaquin pulls a gun on Sam. Just an ordinary lunch for these guys. ;-)

Thanks for this Adriana Noel. For some strange reason I've been unable to watch this tn for two weeks because I don't have control of the tv and Uni's website isn't working for me. I can only watch Telemundo tns on my laptop. Re the CC issue; I've found that Uni's ccs have always been awful and Lee Fox's advice from last week seems to be the best one. Call the Cable company to get them to activate your CC3--English captioning--or mess around with your remote.

Anywho, I'm glad Ric has decided not to go off with Marilu even though his incessant moping is off-putting. I'm glad he loves Alina though; even though Marilu seems as clueless as ever and she will crack.

I read your recap first. I had not planned to watched the show. Then I read that Jose Luis came out of the shower with just a towel and I had to check out the goods. So, I had to lose 20 minutes of my life so I could check him out. I've never seen that actor before this TN. I can take him or leave him. He's no Ricky.

What a GREAT recap, Adriana Noel!!!

Thank heaven for ex-Padre Plaid. The only man with any common sense.

I still do not trust Marilu.

Lucina, what would we do without her?!

Fatima

Finally, Cynderella, you show up! So, what is your take on Marilu now?!

Fatima

And just to show that Ricky isn't the only genius around, JL thinks the best way to make it up to his wife that his colleague just ran his nasty hands over her body, is to force his way into her bed and on to her. Yeah. I'm sure she's in the mood, JL.

Fatima,

I am just going to sit her quietly gloating. "It was the old get him to marry you and then move in for the kill while the girlfriend is hanging out with mobsters trick". I knew it!

Cynderella, amiga, I LOVE your humor!!!

Vivi in DC, love that last comment re JL jumping into bed with Oriana!! The " isn't the only genius around". I love it!!

Fatima

Thanks for the recap Adriana. Your asides were funny.

Vivi, your comments are hilarious: just another day at the office and the genius of Ric and JL.

I know Oriana has been deluded about JL's violence but I hope we don't have another tn instance of spousal rape.

Now that Oriana has seen JL's colleagues why doesn't she understand, despite what her misinformed husband says, he's only leaving that organization in a box.

Yeah, I think we are being set up to watch Marilu crack.

I think Ricky should take also pills, tranquilizers like he uses condoms.
Ori would be like a pharmacist, she would portion the pills and condoms.

Thank you, Adriana, for a funny and thorough recap. You hit all the craziness that had to be hit!

Good God these guys in the DR are low lifes with a capital L. For JL to think he will ever get away from these guys is the real fantasy.

Ricardo calling Oriana while she is in the middle of her under cover work??? It's all been said.

Did we see a pretty red head in one of the bumpers with Mariano? Someone new?

I felt so sorry for Ruben last night. He looked old and tired and overwhelmed with it all.

Traveling Lady- Yeah, Ruben looked like all the wind had been taken out of his sails when he learned that his son was also in danger of having contracted HIV. His daughter, his grandbaby, and now his son.

Thanks for this great recap, Adriana. I love the title. I doubt there are very many men over a certain age who don't hear at least once a day,

"Have you taken your pills?"

My favorite line:

"Oh, I can’t wait for Mike to start “investigating” Raquel!"

Of course the whole HIV thing makes this a lot less fun.

Wow, isn't Sam the charmer?

All this speculation on Rick's part (and ours as well) as to whether Oriana will give it up to her husband or not makes me recall the first episode. Remember how happy Oriana seemed to be as she set the stage for a romantic evening at home with her husband? There were candles and wine (I don't recall any rose petals... I think that's a guy thing) and I'll bet there were some chocolate-dipped strawberries. Wow, talk about a well-planned evening shot all to hell. Wouldn't it be appropriate to pick up where things left off? Or has there been too much water under that bridge?

Carlos

Adriana Noel - Fabulous recap. Loved all your commentary, especially this: "That's when Mariano snaps and, accompanied by Viewerville's round of applause, tells Ric that he's had it with all this non-stop whining."

When you think about it, Ric is really giving JL a back-handed compliment to think that Ori would still want to boink after all the hell he's taken her and Alina through.

Homero, where's all this protection you promised Ori? A pox on you.

Hmmm, Mike is divulging too much info to Joaquin for me. I'm still wondering which team he's on.

All this time I've been thinking Samuel (Luis Gatica) was the silent brains behind the outfit, but instead he's Fredo.

This TN has done a good job making me care about all the characters cause I'm still hoping JL will have a shred of humanity and leave Ori alone.

Just an ordinary lunch for these guys.

Vivi, lol. Crazy that these guys outsmarted Homero for years.

Thanks, Adriana Noel, for that quick and snappy recap.

Yikes..JL has dragged Oriana into a very dangerous situation. Joaquin and Samuel are scary and disgusting dudes. I am glad that Jl came to oriana's rescue from the smarmy Samuel, but he is a dolt to think that she would be in the mood after that obnoxious goon smarmed all over her. Gee whiz, buy a vowel, JL. You are out of control and sliding down a slippery slope, so man up and save your wife and child from these terrible people you have become involved with, hombre. ...and don't forget to take your pills. (Carlos...HA.)

Cyn, I have to say that even though JL is a very large jerk, I find him more attractive than Ricky physically. Emotionally attractive to me ...only Ruben, Mariano, and Cesar. All the other guys seem too selfish and childish . ...and stupid. David just does not do it for me.

I agree that Ruben looked devastated after getting the news about Cesar and Raquel. I do not remember ever seeing the actor before, but I like him very much. He is also in Robo.

I am casting my vote for Malibu Marilu just waiting to seduce or be seduced by Rick and little Ricky.

Thanks Adriana, I kept wondering why Oriana wants to see to it that JL takes his pills, does she want him to get better? I would want him to stay bad so that he gets himself in trouble and then I would have every reason to not want to end up with him. If he gets better, she would be hard pressed to explain why she doesn't want to continue with him or have Alina live with them. But I suppose she's afraid of him and wants him to take the pills for safety reasons.

So now I see the writing on the wall pertaining to Fabiola and Sebastian. She never would commit to either Leo or Piero, that's because Sebastian will redeem himself and she will end up with him. As per TN rules, the mother always ends up with the baby's daddy if the daddy is still alive.

I am officially sick of Ric. He is so childish and selfish, he has turned me off.
And I still stand behind Maritru. And if she can hook up with Mariano, that will be the icing on the cake.

Also, I was a bit disappointed in JL's body. It wasn't as toned as I would like to see.

One more thing, I was hoping that Mike was pretending that the video wasn't in there and then kept it for himself to give to Homero, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Did anyone else see the bumper of Mariano kissing someone? I didn't recognize who she was, so maybe she's a new character.

Cathyx- Even if JL got his rage issues under control, I still don't think Ori would want him back. The fact is, she doesn't want a man who is capable of getting involved with such shady business and deceiving her the way he did. She would like for him to get his rage under control for Alina's sake, and yes, for her own safety while she has to be with him.

I really hope Fabi never gets back together with Sebas. He has done and said too many horrible things to her. No matter how much he redeems himself, I still can't get behind that and really hope the writers don't go that route. If Ori isn't going to end up with the father of her child, I don't see why Fabi has to.

Cathyx- Saw the bumper. Red haired gal and it wasn't Marilu. Hmmm....

Cathyx....."sick of Ric"....me, too. Time to stop thinking about Oriana sleeping with JL 24/7. Get a hobby.

Vivi, the rule can still apply with Oriana and JL if JL dies.

I think Ric is so obsessive over Oriana that I think there's a serious problem with him. Oriana needs to run away from him. He's acting just as jealous as JL and we all think JL has a problem. This controlling obsessive type of man is always going to be trouble and it's not done out of love, it's done out of fear and anger. Run, Oriana, run!

All of you that prefer Jose Luis over Ricky...God's speed. That just means more Ricky for me! The only thing I find attractive about Jose Luis is his height.

My bet is on Fabi not winding up with Sebas. This TN has broken some rules already, with condoms and HIV. Fabi has grown too much to go back to Sebas, even a new and improved one.

Joaquin is good on the bongos. I wonder if the actor plays them for real in his downtime.

Ricky can wear those little ascots as Tarzan loin cloths and we can have a lift a freaky fun.

Thanks Adriana for a great recap. Loved the lines where you pointed out Ric's whiney/needy behavior. That bedroom scene talking to Alina while she slept was weird. It pointed out just how obsessed and needy he is.
As far as Marilu getting her hopes built up about rekindling their romance, I'm liking it. It'll teach both of them that there are consequences for using marriage vows for reasons other than to live as man and wife.

Vivi and Niecie, I hope you both are right regarding Seb b/c Cathyx mentioning the often used tn rule made me shudder. After all she's been through, and even if he really changed, a Fabi/Seb wedding that would be a hard plot for most of the audience.

Cathyx and Foxy, ITA that Ric's behavior currently should make Oriana run. It's crazy and not attractive.

CathyX Ricky might be crazy, but he's loyal. He loved her even when he was suspicious of her. He puts up with ALL of her baggage. Mobster husband, serial- killer child, prostitute mooching friends, legal problems up the wazoo and she cries all of the time and breaks up with him every other day. She basically calls him when she's sad and wants to cuddle.

He lets her do whatever she wants and still stands there waiting patiently for her. He might whine about jL, but even if she slept with "crazy", Ricky would be right there. He might be nuts, but that's the kind of nuts that she needs.

Something is going to have to happen to snap Ricky out of this immature obsession about Ori's bedtime partner. Since we have seen Homero, Piero, and Mariano try to talk, and even smack, some sense into his head about this, we know that the writers think it's an issue. Just like when we and Ori pointed out that Ricky did not understand what it was like to be a parent and to put a child first, and he was sort of distant with Alina. Now we've seen a change. He is not only becoming a real dad to Lina, but also making some headway with the child he neglected, Sebas. I think Ricky will continue to evolve to become the MAN (not the boy) that Ori needs by the end.

Viva...these novelas are all about evolving and growing and learning just like our favorite fairy tales.

Viva ?? thanks, Ipad. well, viva Vivi. !!!!

I always have trouble proving that I am NOT a robot because Ipad keeps trying to change the random letters into words which is so frustrating.

The girl in the bumper is Dulce Maria, from Rebelde.

Thanks, everyone, for the great comments. I've had a very busy day today, mostly twisted administrative stuff, so I'm exhausted (it's 9.30 PM where I am).

The writers are definitely aware of Ric's obsessive behaviour, all his friends are pointing out how crazy he's acting.
Vivi and Susanlynn, I agree that Ric might be changing and that's why now he's so reckless and horny all the time.
Cynderella, on the other hand, has a point, too - Ric has been whipped ever since he first met Oriana - I'm thinking something was really lacking from his life to have him turn into this puppy dog around her.

Cyndy, I'm with you on Ric being loyal with Ori's baggage. And I agree with Adriana that he has been whipped since he's met Oriana. He has always been supportive of Oriana even after she breaks up with him everyday. So, I give him a lot of credit, especially since he's so good with Alina now. I'm glad he said at least he has Alina even if he doesn't have Oriana. I'm team Ric all the way even though JL is more classically handsome. But lying to your wife for seven years and putting her and your child in danger just makes him disgusting to me.

I saw an interview with Ana Paola Martinez-Alina-and she said she wants to take a little break but she definitely wants to do more novelas!

J desde NYC- That's adorable. She sounds so grown up.

She is adorable, Vivi. She said she wanted a little break because her little sister is starting kindergarten and she wanted to be around for that but she said she loves doing novelas and wants to do more.

I love her in this because she does look like JL and Diego Olivero does the cutesy voice thing Lina does when she's being precocious.

Susanlynn, I am with you re your comments re Stepford Marilu.

I so hope, so really hope that the writers to not have Fabiola going back to Sebastian. The things he has said and done are beyond repair for that relationship. It would be wrong and they had better not go that route.

Fatima

Poor Ruben. Lo adoro.
