Por Siempre Mi Amor #56 - The Tangled Web of Lies and Deceit Gets Tighter-It Gets One Step Ahead and Then Two Steps Back
Tonight's episode is a combination of episodes 73 and 74. The deleted scenes are in blue.
Ara asks Daphne to
go to Osvy's house and get the rest of her things including the dog. Art has
already spoken to Balthazar so Daphne shouldn't have any problems. Oh and
Daphne is willing to bring her things from Art's house too. (What a friend!!!!)
Ara asks for Este and Daphne has a very smug look.
Pasado
Feo is choking Sucia
because she snitched to Art. Is she jealous! He will be bored with that stupid
girl soon. She didn't snitch it was her friends. Remember that they
are partners, but you sent Rodolfo's wife my picture. What kind of partnership
is that? How do you know that it's me? Ole Sugar Daddy was discreet, so you
would be the only one with access to pictures. Feo pretends as if he
doesn't know, but Sucia thinks that the apartment is bugged full of cameras and
Feo tries to persuade Sucia to think that The Raisin had other women, but Sucia
is not buying it. The problem for them is that Fab promised his aunt that
he would find out who the woman is in the photos and that will be problematic
for her. Sucia knows that he took the pictures and Feo admits that it was him.
He warns Sucia that it's better to work with him than against him because
he always gets what he wants.
Fab is at work
looking over Javier's resume. Its strange there are no old reference addresses
except for some in Spain.
Daphne lies as usual
and tells Ara that Este is quite the playa, playa. He went to the club
and danced and flirted all night. Daphne gives Ara "advice"; don't
worry about someone who is not worrying about her. How is Daphne so sure?
He told her at the beach that since Ara left him for someone else, he would do
the same. Ara wants him to be as happy as she is and Daphne looks like
Sylvester who just swallowed Tweedy bird.
De Hoy
Javier
asks Ara if Daphne is going to bring the rest of her stuff and she will
bring the dog. Javier forgot about him, but he loves dogs. The little dog
is the gift that he gave to her, their little son. They joke that he looks
like Ara. Ara is worried about her tuition. How will she pay it?
Javier will take care of it. No, she moved out of her house to be independent,
so she will get a part time job and use public transportation to get back and
forth to school, but can he take her to school tomorrow (Now, isn't that
special?) Javier just admires her more and more, and loves her more and more (I
roll my eyes more and more)
Daphne is
packing Ara's stuff. One for Ara, two for Daphne. Daphne thought bubbles to the
time when she moved into Art's house. Little by little she will take her
rightful place as "the Single White Female"(thanks Tofie). She will
be left with her house, her clothes, her bed, her car, her man, her life, what
an incredibly disturbed person, Daphne is!!!
Katia
wants to know if Fab is going to continue giving her the silent treatment. Things
have changed between them, Fab's moving out.
Osvy
meets confidentially with his lawyer and tells him about his son born out
of wedlock and now he wants to do right by him. He wants to give him his
name and include him in his will. Good move, but it will take time. Fab
will have to be told what is going on. Papers have to be certified with
the actual name etc. Nothing in the will can be changed until everything is
certified and resolved.
Tita is
with the bikers trying to call Ara. They tell her to let it be and let Ara live
with her man. Osvy passes by and they tease Tita about still being in love and
thinking about him.
Art goes to the
university to see Ara and have an opportunity to talk to her, she rudely greets
him and will not go anywhere with him.
Isa goes to
her/Javier's apartment.
Ara will not go
anywhere with him, so they will talk right there. Ara has nothing more to say
but Art wants her to hear him out. He can't stand around with his hands
crossed while she is making the biggest mistake of her life. She tells
him that his princess has grown up but Art tells her that she actions say that
she is still a kid. She left her grandfather's house to live with Javier
as an adventure and it's the biggest mistake that she could make. She's mad
that he clocked her boo, but Art was agitated upset. Art tells Ara sneaking pit
of Osvy's and living with Javier is an adventure. Ara disagrees. Art
tells her that living with Javier is the worst mistake in her life.
Javier tries to be
funny and asks if he should call Isa- mother- in-law! Uh no, creep you aren't
married to Ara yet. Isa wants to know what he did he do to make Ara fall in
love with him. Was it love at first sight? (ooow noo!). He claims that
Ara is marvelous brings out something in him and Isa thought bubbles to the
exact same worlds that Feo said to her. Javier wants to love Ara forever.
(Yuck!) Isa tells him that his words are empty phrases to her. Love and money
can't be hidden. Isa tells him that if he really loved Ara, he wouldn't
allow her to commit so many errors and make her go against her parents. Javier
says that Art and Isa can't understand that they love each other because they
are prejudice against them. (What a crock?) Javier claims that Art and Isa
judged him before they met him and that he loves Ara with all of his soul (and
I don't believe that I am still listening to this garbage, oh right, I'm
recapping). Isa reminds him that love is doing not empty words. If you love her
then convince her to return home. She is young and naive and you have
been around the block, so she will listen to you.
New opening
Ara insists that she
in not returning and that Art can't make her. Art knows that he can't make her
come back but he wants her to trust his experience. She retorts - yeah sure,
just what your father told you when you wanted to marry my mother instead of
Marisela. Art tries to tell her that it's not the same. Her mother was a
wonderful person, and Ara claims that Javier is wonderful too. Art returns,
well if he was so wonderful why didn't you bring him around to meet us.
Ara- well is over and done. Art humbly asks, what did I do wrong, did I
fail to educate you so that you act this way? Did you forget all of the values
that I have taught you to an live with that creep (I know that tipo doesn't
mean creep, I couldn't help it)
By now Daphne and
Ileana show up and ask Ara what's going on? Why all of the shouting? Ara says
that- my dad doesn't understand me and wants to impose his will on me. Art by
now is near tears- he only wants the best for her and she continues to rant,
let her make mistakes and let her deal with the consequences.(Good, leave her
Art and let the anvils fall where they may). Art concedes this is neither the time
nor the place and walks away downtrodden. They will talk again.
Ara feels
humiliated, but Ileana (oh wise one) reminds that she should be grateful that
her parents are worried about her. There are those (like Daphne) who wished that
their parents cared even a little bit about them and with Art you acted like a
fool.
Osvy
meets Marisela at the hospital and invites Marisela for a cup of coffee.
Gema is
meeting with Gonzo and Borlas because she needs their help in righting the
wrong that GMeanie did to her. Gonzo and Borlas will be "private
investigators" and find out who she sold the other items top, while Gonzo
is pawing at Gema. Gema will help if he keeps his hands and lips to
himself.
Sucia is so sorry
that things didn't work out with Fan and his mom. He is going to live
alone but he will check on his mom from time to time. Sucia didn’t want him to
get used to living alone because she would like to take their relationship to
the next level. Is she considering marriage?
Ileana tells Ara
that Art must have been very worried to come to the university to talk to her
and Daphne says that Art should give Ara a chance at love." Art has in his
head that Javier is not good for me and no one can change his mind.
Ileana asks Ara if she is sure that what Javier feels for her is love?
Daphne puts in her two cents that Javier is a man not a boy like Este and
Ileana snaps back that Este didn't do the horizontal mambo with Ara because he
respected her. Este comes over on cue and asks Ara if it's true that She
and Art were arguing. Art hates him and the whole school knows. Ileana
says that it was over some foolishness but Daphne clarifies and lets Este know
that Ara is living with Javier. Este has the que, que, what look.
He asks if they are living together and Ara says yes. If looks could
kill, Ara would have dropped right in her seat.
Osvy
tells Marisela about his family situation and how it's was a hard blow for Art.
Osvy hopes that Marsela thinks differently of him. Osvy hopes that Art
and a Fab foster a good relationship.
Sucia is
on cloud 9, with the thought of marrying Fab. Fab shares with Sucia that Art
wants Javier investigated. (This is so unfair; we get one step ahead and then
take two steps back)
Este tells Ara that
he feels sorry for her. She is a kept woman. Ara says that she is working
her way through school. Este says that Ara is not the same intelligent girl
with convictions and proper values that he fell in love with 10 years ago. He
doesn't know her. She tells him that it's in the past and that reality is very
different. Este asks Ara if she loves him enough to give up everything. She
will fight for what she wants; she loves Javier, blah, blah, blah. Este
agrees. She is not worth him worrying over. She tells him to go his way
and she will go hers. He will take her out of his life and his thoughts (and
I'm sure that Daphne is feeling all warm and tingly inside). They are nothing.
Daphne sprang out of her seat and ran after him. Ara didn't look too
happy.
Sucia tells Fab that
if Art is investigating Javier his should first consult with Ara. Fab
thinks that it will lead to more fighting with Art and Ara. Sucia claims that
she is not agreement with the relationship either. Sucia convinces Fab to be
careful because if Ara finds out then she will think that Art is impeding on
her life. Sucia tires to think, how can they support Art.
Osvy
shares with Marisela (and I can't imagine why) that Ara was living with him but
moved in with her boyfriend and Art is devastate. He wants to support hi however
he can. Marisela knows that family is important to Art. Osvy asks Marisela
to talk to Art, let him know that he is supported.
Este feels stupid
and wishes that he didn't say what he said to Ara. He remembers anguishing all
night over her at the beach.
Este will find his
own happiness and Daphne is trailing after him like a little dog in heat. She
tells him that from a bad ending comes a good beginning. Este changes his mind
and kisses Daphne.
Ileana asks Ara if
she was affected by what Este said to her? It's obvious; no one wants to hear
anything bad about themselves. Ileana says take it from his side, first you are
at the beach together and now you moved in Ileana tells he that if it doesn't
work out with Javier she has let a good, valiant man go. If she ends up
unhappy she only has herself to blame.
Este asks Daphne to
forgive him; he doesn't want her to think that he is using her as a rebound for
Ara. She doesn't care. Este tries to explain and Daphne doesn’t let him
talk. She tells him to let this
take its course.
Isa meets up with
Ara at the university and Ileana excuses herself. She tells Ara that she went
to the penthouse to look for and Ara starts- oh so like my dad you want me to
come home.
Cris sees Daphne and
Este kissing and has a WTF??? Expression on his face. Cris sprints over to
Este and bam -gives him a right hook sucker punch in the face and knocks him
down.
They start fighting
Cris is livid and
accuses Este of being a bad friend. (No, Cris, he just has bad taste) Cris says
that Este knew that he was in love with Daphne and Daphne blurts out- how many
times did I tell you that I didn't love you. Anyhoo Daphne tells Cris that she
and Este are boyfriend and girlfriend. Cris tells Este that he is a
traitor, he has deceived him.
Isa understands that
Ara thinks that she is in love with Javier but she is disillusioned and is
doing things wrong. Why didn't she
bring him around to meet the family when you two started dating Ara shoots,
well the first thing that you would have stressed was his age.
Daphne asks Cris if
he knows how to lose and Cris says when it's a clean competition, but to his
time it's not. Este tries to explains to Cris that it is not what it looks like
with Daphne and that he doesn't want to lose Cris as a friend, he is more than
a friend, and he is like a brother. Cris is not listening.
Isa tells Ara that
Javier is old enough to be your dad. Smart mouth Ara says but he is not.
He only wants to toy with your affection. A couple with such an age
difference is not normal. This was priceless - Isa asks Ara- what if Art
started dating one of your friends and decided that they would be his lifetime partners.
How would you feel? What would you think? That he was crazy. Well
that's what we are all thinking about you dating Javier.
Este wants to talk
to Cris and explain that the kiss was out of anger and Daphne tries to
discourage him but he goes to look for Cris.
Fab confronts Javier
about his incomplete resume and we see the creep trying to think of an answer. He didn’t write the addresses because
they were in Spain. Fab wants the
addresses updated.
Ara admits that they
didn't do things the way that Art and Isa would have liked but no one gave her
a chance to talk. Isa apologizes to Ara and Isa proposes that she will
talk to Art into accepting Javier and have Ara move back home. The
condition is that they don't try to separate Ara and Javier and to respect the
man that she loves.
Este approaches Cris
to explain what is going on. Cris says that it's not worth it. Este tries
to tell Cris that it was not premeditated, the kiss meant nothing but Cris
tells Este to go to hell.
Gaby
can't believe that she has been wrong again in love. Tere brings her a
large bouquet of flowers, from guess who? Bruno. He sends a note that
says basically that she can always count on him. She realizes that it's
too late for Bruno, the love of her life.
Gonzo and
Borlas follow GMeanie.
Tere and
Andrea are talking about Gema stealing Andrea and Mau's jewelry and Gaby walks
in and asks about her "latest heist". Gaby asks if it's the
same Gema who robbed from Isa and then Isa walks in. Tere can't beloved that
Gema bit the hand that fed her. Andrea shares that she and Mau went to
see Agatha and she told them that Gmeanie robbed them to pay off some
bets.
Mari goes
to see Agatha. But Mari wants to see Borlas. Agatha let's her know
that Borlas is hardly around and when he is, he hangs with a bad crowd.
Agatha wants to know what did he do? Mari is ashamed to tell her
what he did. Agatha swears that she won't tell anyone. Mari shares
that Borlas and his friends beat up Dan.
Fab tells Art about
the incomplete resume while Javier is eavesdropping. Javier confronts Art
and asks if he is the one beyond the inquisition.
The end of the
episode 73
Art let's Javier
know that he is very unsettled and that there are too many coincidences - Javier
is his daughter's boyfriend and has access to the financial information of both
his and Isa's companies. Javier claims that what Art said could be taken the
wrong way. Art thinks that Javier is in it to get Ara's money. Art let's
Javier On my way! That if there is any funny business with his personal information
Javier goes straight to jail. He wants all of his account accesses/passwords
chased so that only Fab has them. Javier asks if he is calling him a thief and
Art says yes- you have my robbed my most precious possession, my daughter.
They both then have a stare down.
Tere
can't believe that Andrea didn't know that GMeanie gambles Gaby and Isa don't
believe what Agatha said but think that Andrea should have a talk with
Gmeanie first. They ask what does Mau think and Andres confided that Mau
believes the Gmeanie gambles.
Gmeanie
arrives at the gambling hall Ina can followed by Gonzo and Borlas.
Agatha
shares that Borlas hangs with good for nothing's but she wants to hear about
Mari and Dan. Mari is going to meet his dad and she is nervous. He
may not accept her.
Javier
tells Art that he doesn't know him that his attitude force Ara out of the
house. Art snatched up bald troll and Fab breaks it up. Javier smirks. He
apologizes to Fab for having a scuffle with a client but Fab says that this
happened because his girlfriend could be his daughter and the smirk is gone.
Katia
tells Osvy that she lost her son's trust and he is moving out. She is going to
live near one of her sister's. She asks Osvy to look after Fab. She
hopes that Osvy will be happy and he tells her that Tita thinks that he is a
womanizer and wants no parts of him. Katia says that it's her fault.
Borlas and
Gonzo try to gain entry into the gambling casino but are denied entry.
Entry is only by invitation and to the well dressed, no yellow tee shirts
and suspenders are allowed.
Tita
wants to see Ara. She asks Ara for her address but Ara will come to see Tita.
Isa
visits Gaby's office and notes try beautiful flowers that Bruno sent. She
tells Isa about Bruno's note.
Andrea and Mau
discuss confronting GMeanie about what Agatha said. Mau doesn't like
lying and manipulation.
Mari
shares with Zenaida that she wants to confront Borlas about what he did to Dan.
Zenaida let's Mari know that Borlas is in love with her.
Javier wants to know
if Fab is going to blame him for falling in love with Ara.
Javier wants to know
why Art as a client has the right to investigate him. Fab shares with Javier
that Art is not only a client he is his half brother. Javier acts
surprised.
Javier has nothing
to hide, because actually he doesn't really exist. He thinks that his
past as Fernando has been erased. Hahaha, nothing gets erased off of a
computer.
Mari
wants to know how does Zenaida know that Borlas is in love with her.
Zenaida tells her that when he returned Pulga she saw how he looked at
Mari. Mari does feel the same. He is like a brother to her. What he did
to Dan makes her like him even less.
Borlas
returns to the "Stolen Electronics Are Us" apartment and Agatha is in
toe. She has a message from Mari for him. Mari wants to talk to him
and he is very happy.
Marisela
goes to Iakani to visit Art. Art is annoyed that Osvy shared the family
business with Marisela. Art doesn't know what to do with Ara.
Katia has the gall
to go to Tita's house. Tita tells Katia that this convo is out of place.
She tells Tita that Art is not monster that she painted him to be to her
son. Tita listens. Why did Katia lie? To recoup a love that
never existed.
Art is talking to
Marisela. She tells him that he has watch his anger and to accept the
relationship even if he has to pretend. (Why is he talking to her, anyway???) She
says keep your enemies close.
Zenaida and Mari
talk about Borlas. Mari knows that Borlas is jealous but doubts that he
would do anything bad to her or the kids. Zenaida feels test Mari should talk
to Tita, but Mari feels that Tita has a full plate.
Katia defends Osvy
explains the past and wishes that she were in Tita's shoes to have the love of
Osvy. (She whines too much)
Art shares with Isa
that he changed his mind towards Javier, thanks to Marisela. Because he is pushing
Ara further away. Isa, (like Viewerville) wants to know Marisela has her
business in Art's problems, thanks to Osvy. Art wants to accept Javier and keep
the enemy close. Art hopes that Isa doesn't have a problem with him
keeping in contact with Mari. Isa doesn't have a problem since Mari was a
major part of his past and they are friends. Art is appreciative. (I could be
wrong, but there is something about Marisela that bothers me)
Tita is afraid that
Osvy can't be trusted and Katia tells Tita that she doesn't know how to love
because in love you give your heart and take a risk that everything will work
out.
The kids
give Don Porfirio a bath and end up having a water fight.
Gmeanie
rushes in and Angel is already home from school doing his homework. He
asks her where had she been and when he got home from school, no one was at
home and he is hungry, she went out with some friends and they ran late but she
is going to fix something to eat now. Gmeanie won at the casino and was
thanking God.
Tita has a heart to
heart with Ara. Tita reminds Ara that she was raised with values.
In other words she tells Ara that Javier will never buy the milk because
she is giving it away. Ara tells Tita that she is living in the past century.
Good costumes don't have centuries or times. Tita wants to know she is
she returning home. Tita doesn't want Ara to commit the same errors as her dad
and Osvy and be apart for years. The De La Riva pride is a trip. Think about it
and you are hurting your grandmother.
Daphne tells Isa
that Ara asked her to bring her things to Javier's. Isa is troubled and
Daphne looks like little Rhoda from the movie "The Bad Seed".
Cris
let's Ileana know that he saw Este and Daphne kissing. Daphne tells him
that she is in love with Esteban and they are dating. Ileana is befuddled.
Isa tells
Gaby about Marisela and how she and Art are friends. If Art wasn't
married Marisela would be right on it. Gaby confirms that Art only has
eyes for Isa.
Art asks
Bruno what does he think of the lawyer's suggestion. They talked about
Gaby testifying against Nick to the Mexican and Spanish authorities.
Ileana
can’t believe it. Cris says that he will never forgive Este. Ileana
says that you two will not speak because of a woman. Cris explains his
side and how he feels deceived and Ileana agrees. Where Cris is wrong is
that Daphne never returned his feelings so technically Este didn't steal her.
Daniel shares with
Cuca the bruise he received was from a fight with Borlas. Cuca warns Dan to
beware of Borlas because he hangs with a rough crowd. Gil overhears them
talking and asks who is Marianela. Dan says that she is his girlfriend.
Gaby asks
if what Daphne said is true. Ara is living with Javier but Isa tells Gaby
that they are going to "accept" Javier. Gaby notes that it took years
to gain Ara's love and now that she gets it, Javier appears. Isa let's
Gaby know that Art asked Fab to investigate Javier.
Gil wants to know
from where does he know her? From the masquerade party? Nope. Gil
thought that Dan and Ileana would have gotten together. Is she from our
social circle?
Dan tells Gil that
he loves Mari and Gil wants to meet her ASAP. The meeting will be set up
for tomorrow. (Oh no, when Cuca and the Padre find out they will act some kind
of silly, oh Cuca is eavesdropping) Gil wants Dan to focus on his physical exam
Art asks
Bruno how is Ally taking his trip to Spain with Gaby and now asking Gaby to testify.
Bruno has to remember that his friendship with Gaby has limits. He is a
married man.
Daphne brings Ara's
things. She asks Ara how is she and doesn't seem very enthusiastic.
Javier is livid that
Sucia didn't share with him about Fab being Art's half brother. Javier has a
jealous fit that Sucia wants to return to Art's house. And is still in love
with him. Sucia reminds him that they are partners and this is a good strategy.
Javier wants to know if Sucia is
in love with him, no she likes the thugs like Javier. Javier tells Sucia
to take advantage of Fab and Sucia says that she will do it for a price.
Javier threatens that if he is blackmailed Fab will find out the Sucia is
just that Sucia and not the virgin that he thinks she is.
Cuca asks Dan what
is he going to do when Gil sees that Mari is from humble beginnings and not a
socialite. Gil will be mad that he was lied to and Dan is nervous. If Dan
passes his commission exam, Gil won't care about Mari.
Borlas goes to see
Mari and she tells him that he is not welcome and to forget about her and the
kids for always. He is a coward, he and his friends beat up Dan! Borlas
doesn't take it too well.
Ara and Daphne talks
while Dante eavesdrops. She tells Ara that Este kissed her. Que, que what?
Daphne tells her lying version of the story and they locked lips, she was
so surprised that she enjoyed the kiss. Where are you going with this and evil
piano music? I feel like I'm in the sinister movie "The Car” and
it's driving down the road.
Coming attractions:
Ara kisses Este, but
wait isn't she happy with Javier, didn't Este tell her that he would see you
next lifetime?

I agree with the comment about Marcela; I don't trust her, either. I thought she was wearing an engagement ring in an earlier episode but nothing has been said about where it came from. I also still don't trust Katia; her about-face is not realistic.
For all his genius about computers and the internet, FeVier must be delusional. Arrest and prison records have got to have back-ups of back-ups. Somebody will find that sooner or later.
Cristian may realize someday that Esteban didn't realize the favor he was doing him. Daphne is bad news on steroids. I think she's ultimately after Art.

"Javier has nothing to hide, because actually he doesn't really exist" made me smile as you perfectly stated the crux of the matter.
Agree with you and UA that there is something about Marcela that makes me uncomfortable. That said, I agree with her strategy - Art and Isa need to accept Javier. Well, at least pretend to. The widening chism is dividing them even further.
Of course, there is a remaining record of Feo somewhere that will need to surface ere the end. It is just excruciating though watching him cold bloodedly dismantling everyone's lives in the interim. Ack.
A little disappointed Este took Dafne's not so alluring bait. And although Chris had no real "claim" on Daf, Este did kind of violate "the code" by kissing her. He doesn't care for her and knew his best friend did. As you wisely noted gringo, this has nowhere to go and is hopefully at a dead end.
Happy that Meanie is being tailed and hope this results in her being caught in her web of lies.
We can only hope Feo and Sonia will bring each other down. Can't happen soon enough for me!

Isabel knows what Maricela is up to and Art as well. I don't think Art is into a full court wooing but he likes the attention. Isabel had already thought and acted to bring Feo close before the great advise from Maricela.
While it is a good strategy not so sure Art is clever nor patient enough and he sure can't beat the likes of Fernando.
Art, as always rebuffs, then seems to accept good advise (in this case hire a private detective but keep things on the down low) but then thinks he can do the work instead of a professional. He is a control freak first class.
I hate it but looks like when all is said and done ABrat will get a pass on all this drama she has created.

CD yep they have bonded and have to admit I didn't think it'd last this long. I keep expecting the wheels to fall off, maybe not. It is in Fernando's best interest they continue to get along swimmingly so Isabel's and Fernando's little plan will work. Isabel unknowingly is enabling him.
I have to give props to Art for connecting the dots about Fernando's access to both companies confidential information and dubious consequence he is bedding Aranza too.

TJ- Excellent recap. You really went above and beyond this week with your posts and double episode recaps. I just caught up watching the last two episodes, so my comments may cover both.
I don’t think Art is stupid, but I do think he’s impulsive and acts on emotion (and pride—the de la Riva Achilles heel). I am so glad he took measures to prevent Javier from using their confidential info to steal from them. He will have to work hard to control himself to pretend to accept Javier as Ara’s boyfriend, but I think Isa will be able to keep him in check.
I don’t think that Art will be tempted by Marcela, at all—especially now that he and Isa are back on solid ground. But she might try to cause some trouble down the road. Or perhaps she will be a love interest for Fab once he learns who Sonia really is. In any case, Isa has her eye on her, but it’s best that she keep her cool for now, like she did this episode.
Do Cuca and Padre still think that Sonia is going to come clean on her own to Gil about Mari? Because she’s done nothing but show her face to Mari once or twice. And now we know she’s thinking of ways to make the Mari problem go away forever, before Fab finds out. Meanwhile, Mari and Dan are practically making marriage plans! It’s a good thing Dan is such a gentleman, otherwise Cuca and Padre would be clutching their chests about Mari being knocked up with a baby, that’s also her cousin—and Dan would be expecting a baby that’s also his grand-niece/nephew. Time to take action!
Loved Dan’s beatdown of Borlas last episode. He’s so mild mannered normally, but don’t mess with him (unless it’s three vs one).
I like the new opening sequence. David Bisbal is a cutie, and the scenery is lovely. Ara and Este are still together, so the writers must still see them as end game. Too bad for Dafne. Oh, and yes, Este totally broke the Bro Code. Maybe he’ll be too busy trying to make up with Cris, that he’ll forget all about Dafne and Ara.

TJ, such a great recap of a show that is heating up. I loved the part about you rolling your eyes more and more and the part where Tita was telling Ara that Javier won't buy the cow if he's getting the milk for free. I laughed and laughed at that.

If all the background noise is stripped away what we have is a fight to the death between Isabel and Fernando with a little side skirmish between Sonia & the de la Rivas. Now the partnership of Feo and Sonia has devolved into the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
While Isabel has angered me at times perhaps she can take Fernando down. Her handicap now is he knows her intimately and how she operates and she knows nothing. She also has to clean up after an impulsive, boneheaded stubborn Art. If she could just get him to play as a team instead of a ball hog.
I know it would ruin the TN but if a PI just followed Fernando for a day

TJ thanks so much for both of these very thorough recaps. ITA that we go one step forward and two back. I wish the writers would give us more points for the good guys and foul up the bad guys more. And yes Daphne is very disturbed.
Oh boy this Dan and Mari thing continues to frighten me. This going to be heart breaking when those kids find out.

We are still in the same place as we were 2-3 weeks ago when it was getting dark and instead of lightening it up a little we got edits, a miscarriage, a suicide attempt, a motorcycle crash, a deflowering, incest, a beat down, extra martial affair and another brewing. Bad behavior is rewarded while stupidity or ignorance is punished. So far the only people that have suffered any consequences for misdeeds are; Fernando went to prison for 10 years, Nick being held in jail for murder, Raisin put down and strangely Osvi's betrothal on hold for a fling 30 years ago.
Gema now twice framed while Aranza gets the princess treatment.
Esteban dumped and what he lost rubbed in his face (we have yet to see what happens with his "job") and Dante the prodigal son gets a cushy job as a chauffeur.
Ally packed half way cross the world and soon to be dumped while Bruno gets to live at moms, eat her food as he chases another woman he will get.
