Art looks average to me but these women are going crazy, better yet are crazy and in love with him.
Very, very scary.
 

TJ thanks so much for this recap. Just when a glimmer of hope was peering through, the crazy doc shows she is completely evil. Wow, CD I had hoped your prediction about Isa was wrong but the way this tn has gone, I'm scared. Isa needs to live and have more kids. I think the problem is on Art's side and with his genes, does he really need to procreate? Can't they just adopt?
 

Good grief! Can this show get any darker? What's next? Gabi's baby is born with a tail and horns?

Nothing is going right for Isa and Art and *now* Dr. Evil decides to make her move? I normally would say Isa will make it through, but with this show I'm not so sure. This nut case is as bad as Feo and Sonia. I wonder how many other patients she's performed unnecessary operations on? I cannot believe Isabel didn't tell anyone about her "condition", not even Gabi. There is no one there to look out for her. Does anyone know if the "don't tell anyone" idea Maricela's? Probably another scene Uni cut... grrrrr

TJ, it befuddles me too about Art. There is a running tally between our two Alpha's, (yuck) Art and Fernando. Like the two are in a boy band and groupies afoot


 

Tofie, it's pretty obvious Dan and Ilena will be together as a new couple once this TN ends on May 4th.

Mari is on her own.

On Maricela: TOLD Y'ALL SO! She's involved in the conspiracy with Feo and Sonia. Plus Aranza would rather have Maricela with Art anyway.

If this keeps going, Isabel could get killed off, which will make Aranza very happy.


 

CD, since this is a tragedy and ostensibly about the long suffering step mother she may be killed off and all we get is ABrat wailing over a corpse.

Little over a month ago we all thought this TN dark and haven't seen much to dissuade me. I resolved myself, a tragedy a tragedy, and went with it. Yes, there are boneheads, beguilers and brats for entertainment but this thing may not end happily ever after.
 

Did I miss something somewhere? Is Marcela in cahoots with Feo and Sucia? Whether she is or not a villain with a medical license is a creature worthy of a very serious Karmageddon.

Has there been an Ultimas Semanas announcement yet?
 

UA, no just conjecture but fuel added when she praised Javier at dinner but that could just have been to get points with Aranza since the two have been talking at work.

Thanks for the recap. I am mystified about the sex appeal of Art! He is such an unappealing wimp that the fatal attractions must be related to the De La Riva social position and the powerful influence it embodies. As far as I can see Art is Art No De Liver.

Surely there will be some kind of intervention for Isa. Such a lovely woman to have been attracted to two such creeps in one lifetime deserves a break. Geesh!

Either case, this is HORRIBLE for Art and Bruno's business. Feo really has declared all out war on them all.

I don't think Marcela is in cahoots with Feo. She was just sucking up to Ara. I'm hoping Ara forgot something at the office and stumbles upon Isa's stuff. This is just a scary position for Isa to be in, with NO ONE knowing where she is.
 

I think Dan and Mari a better fit if they are not related. Borlas is more like a brother to Mari and did you see him check out the girl in the lobby of the cinema? Ileana and the crush on Dan I don't get. He is not a bad guy (kinda a stinker this whole make Mari go away production) and comes from a good family but he is at least 3 years younger than her. Has she never had a date before? She is pretty, mature, smart and she should have her pick. To bad it isn't Esteban instead of the two most worthless chickies on campus.
 

Yep not even Fernando knows where Isabel is and her body could end up in a medical waste dump. What is wrong with telling your husband you're ill unless she really suffers a martyrs complex.
 

In Para Volver a Amar, the main heroine also did not tell her husband, daughter (also played by Thelma Madrigal/Ara), or co-workers/friends that she had breast cancer, even after she started chemo! I think she even had a mastectomy, and just stopped letting her husband touch her or get close to her.
 

I didn't understand that plot device in PVAA and I don't get it here, either. At least in PVAA she told her friend at the salon and had his support. Isa hasn't even told Gabi?

I'm still holding out hope for Dan and Mari. I liked Ileana and Cristian together.
 

PS thanks so much for this recap TJ. I have been recap dependent lately as I can't seem to stay up much past 730 these days. I appreciate all the detail rich recaps that everyone provides.
 

I get not telling while you go through testing, why burden someone unnecessarily. I didn't. But when you know, the support of family very important and borders on selfishness if you do not.
 

Aranza will blert out Isabel's "illness" to everyone just to further embarrass Isabel to the point that Isabel ends up in a mental institution.

Even Olivia Pope of Scandal got the ABrat treatment from President Grant last night.

daughter," Blah, Blah, Blah. "She misses her," Blah, Blah, Blah. Maybe the reason I liked those line so much is because Blah, Blah, Blah, just seems right for So-not. Dr. Frankenstein was another good one, I wish that I had thought of that.

Cancer/tumor and no second opinion. Isa, Dr. Frankenstein was your husbands ex. This makes no sense but novelas seldom do.

Isa is about to become chopped liver if Dr. Frankenstein has her way---yes, this is MUST SEE TV!!!

Why is everyone SO ANXIOUS for ultimas semanas? When will it end? How many more episodes, gets asked almost every day. This is a good novela, lets not hasten it's
demise.

Conservative---It looks like Dan and Lleana but I am still holding out hope for Dan and Mari. He is going to be on his knees begging her to forgive him for the way he ditched her when the truth comes out. DNA test? So simple.

I don't think that Marcela is in with Feo and So-not. She is just a jealous ex, angry that she didn't get what she wanted. A bitter loner still angry over the past. Is there any proof that she has thrown in with anyone to destroy the De La Rivas?

I for one don't want ultimas semanas---I can't wait for esta noche.

Gringo, I think everyone is asking about Ultimas Semanas because the cuts have made the schedule of this TN so crazy. Maybe the plan is to have this end at the same time in the US as it does in Mexico. If so, we're very close to the episode schedules syncing up. Another reason is that this has become sooo dark everybody is looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, in this TN that light is usually another train about to run us over.

One hopeful thing, if Dr. Evil kills Isabel, Ara may give her the same treatment that she gave Isabel when she tries to move in on Arturo. And Dr. Evil will have to deal with Sonia too. Maybe those two b!tches will kill each other.
 

I can understand Isabel wanting to hide the cancer diagnosis. (A friend of mine never told her mother she had surgery for thyroid cancer.) But ovarian surgery takes a long time to recover from, more than two months from what I've seen. Friends have told me that it's difficult to even find a position that's comfortable to sit in. If she wanted to fake the cancer diagnosis, Isa should have told Art that she was having nodules removed or something.
 

Since the title of this is "Por Siempre Mi Amor," there's bound to be a happy ending for someone.
If the title were the Spanish equivalent of "Till Death Do Us Part," I'd be worried!

What worries me is the happy ending. I want a good one. I don't want one like Abismo. That one seemed really rushed. I would like to see the utter destruction of the villains and then at least one ENTIRE episode of happy happy joy joy.
 

Sara, I hope you're right about happy ending, but I'm betting Feo, Sonia and Maricela are going to cause total chaos before May 4th.
