Breaking News! We now know who has been helping Pedro Medina! Lo que la vida me robo #!80 07/23/2014
When we left off last night Maria was paying a visit to our always beautiful Alejandro, who was sitting in jail for assaulting a police officer, she was dressed as Alejandro's wife but while that was disturbing enough things got worse-way worse when Maria started to pretend to be Montserrat, Alejandro stood in the tiny jail cell- the look on his face said it all, he finally seemed to understand that Maria, his childhood friend and companion had lost her sh*t.
Maria continued with her crazy rant (still pretending to be Montserrat): "I love you so much Alejandro but you have to understand me, Jose Luis is very important to me..."- Alejandro begged her to stop, but like the Energizer Bunny she just kept going and going- "No, I know this is all my fault for loving two men, sometimes I think you would have been happier with Maria, she never shared her heart with anyone and to her you were the only thing that mattered, you were the only thing she lived for. That's why I understand the things she does to hurt me, I took away your love from her, I don't blame her for the things she does, really I don't, like what she did to my truck...I deserved it for being a slut", 'You did that?!" exclaims Alejandro as he calls for the guard- "No, Maria did it!", Alejandro continues to call for help but no one shows up, "anyway I just came to tell you that I love you and I'll be sure to give the kids a kiss when I get home". Alejandro tells her to stay away from his kids as she walks away-the guards never came.
Macairo needs a health class refresher course;
At Macairo's and Dominga's house Padre Anselmo, Mac and Kevin-who is just adorable by the way are having a conversation while Dominga works in the kitchen- Padre Anselmo asks "why did they name you Kevin? I mean it's a beautiful name but they could have called you Panchito or Jorgito", cutie Kevin just smiles at this, the Padre then begins to ask questions about Kevins' mother: "so you say your mother confessed these things to you before she died (these 'things'= Mac being his father)- "yes she did, my mom knew I would be alone when she died and she begged me to search for my father after she was gone", "well, I'm happy you are here"-said the Padre "it is a blessing that you are here because you and Mac need each other", with that Mac sends Kevin away to help Dominga, once alone with Padre Anselmo the old man wastes no time in asking Mac what is wrong with him.
"Why are you so cold towards the boy" he wants to know, Mac explains that there's two reasons, first he is worried about his wife getting to attached to the boy only to have him leave and two, he only slept with Zenaida once, and she was a bit of a flirt-how can he be sure he is Kevins' father? After all, how can someone get knocked up after only shagging someone once? He and Dominga continue to try and have babies and nothing works. Padre Anselmo explains that women always know who the father of their kid is,okay, let's pause here, last year my boyfriend and I were watching an episode of Maury, and he had this woman on there who wanted a DNA test on a man who she was 100% sure was the father of her kid- they did the test and it turned out he was not the father, she then tested 5 other men-not one of those tests came back positive-we were too horrified to watch the rest of the show, so I will never know who the daddy was-so Padre Anselmo, you are wrong! The padre also explains that when Kevin was conceived both he and Zenaida were much younger and that really makes a difference, he tells Mac to be happy his boy is there, after all he went through a lot to find him and traveled a long way, they should just be happy that he made it safely to Agua Azul. he tells him not to turn his back on Kevin-he is the child that he and Dominga have been praying for.
The Real Montse visits her husband:
Montserrat shows up to visit Alejandro and is greeted by him shouting at her to leave, she is surprised at his harsh words and he explains that he mistook her for Maria, she is back in town and already up to no good, he tells her that they were wrong and that it was Maria not Jose Luis who was behind the brutal attack on her truck. Montse knows that Maria being back in town is not good news and she and Alejandro are both grateful that Dimitrio has people guarding the home, Montse then tells him that she had to ask for extra security because Jose Luis managed to get into their home-he just let himself in and walked into their bedroom.
Alejandro is angry and promises to put Jose Luis in his place but Montse tells him to calm down, everything is okay and he did not hurt her. The two share a tender moment when she tells him that she hates leaving him behind and he asks her for a kiss to hold him over until the morning when he is released, the two kiss and then Montse goes home.
Medina visits Maria:
Maria has arrived home and she is having a fantasy that involves Alejandro declaring his love for her, she sits on her couch cuddling a pillow and continues to day dream, then the door bells rings and she goes to answer the door, and who is her visitor? Pedro Medina. My first thought is 'run you crazy fool, hide, lock yourself in your room before he can hurt you", but Maria does nothing of the sort and soon it becomes clear why.
" Well there you are my Montserrat, I did not think I'd find you here".
"What do you want Pedro? Alejandro is waiting for me"
Pedro laughs and says 'he's waiting for you?"- then he walks behind her, grabs her by the back of the neck and forces her to look in the mirror, he also removes her ugly ass wig-for this she should thank him.
"Look at youself, look! You are nothing but a pathetic drug addict and a prostitute, you are no one, you have no one and the only way you will ever have Alejandro is in your twisted fantasies" Maria falls to the ground. "Yes, the floor is where you belong!" "What the hell do you want Pedro?" she asks, "I just wanted to thank you for a job well done, you did a great job on Montserrat's car" and there you have it peeps, Maria is the one who has been helping Medina. He then removes two small bags of drugs and drops them on the floor and he makes Maria crawl on the floor to get them- I almost felt bad for her, almost.
He then tells her that he would have loved to have seen Montserrat's face when she saw her truck and he tells her that together they will destroy their enemies, Maria says that she wants Ezequiel Basurto dead and Medina tells her their dear scorpion is already working on that.
The Scorpion comes home;
Adolfo arrives home late at night, he is bruised and bleeding from the beating Medina and his goons gave him, he sits on his couch and has a flash back to the threat issued by Medina-he has 48 hours to kill Basurto, if he does not deliver Josefina will pay the price.
Set my pretty boy free!
Jose Luis goes to set Alejandro free, and Alejandro who is still angry about JL going into his home with out permission informs JL that he might be spending another night in jail because he fully plans on smashing his face in. JL tells Alejandro "oh please, like you let me know when you were sleeping with my wife?", "what are you trying to say" asks Ale- "nothing, make whatever you want out of what I said", Alejandro tells him that he expects nothing but the worst from JL but that he trusts his wife and that JL wont succeed at trying to make him doubt her.
Alejandro is finally out of the pokey and his wife is there to greet him, they kiss and go home to see baby Romina who is being babysat by Rosario. Once they arrive home Alejandro goes to take a shower while Montse and Rosario cook him something to eat. Alejandro leaves but instead of going to shower right away he stops to speak with Graciela-he tells her that he hopes she is doing better and says that his mom is too busy to look after her so he will hire her a nurse. Graciela wants to know if she has done or said anything to Rosario that might have caused the other woman to complain about her-if so she is more than willing to apologize, Alejandro tells her that's not the case but that he wants to avoid that from happening. Graciela tells him not to worry, her time on planet earth is coming to an end and they won't have to put up with her for much longer. I mumble "then die already and save us all the trouble"-and before anyone says that that's mean I want to remind you that I'm not very nice, I once wished for the death of every character on CI, of this I am not ashamed!
In the kitchen Montse and Rosario get to cooking and to talking about Graciela, Rosario says that she understands why Montse holds such grudge against her mom, but that things being what they are now is not the time to hold on to any bad feelings and that's just not for the benefit of Graciela but also for Montse's peace of mind, when Graciela dies Montse should be able to let go without any resentment or hurt feelings. I disagree with the way Rosario views things but that's just me.
Alejandro returns from his shower and they all eat breakfast, he also finds out that JL made it all the way to his bedroom while his wife was in the shower and this makes me uber unhappy, the women folk calm him down and he asks Montse to go with him, he has a surprise for her.
El Alacran cries:
Adolfo goes to visit Padre Anselmo, he wants to confess to something he has not done yet, he tells the Padre that Medina is pressuring him to kill EZ and that he has to do it. The Padre tries to talk sense into him but it's not working, he tells Adolfo to confess to everything and do his time in jail, there is no way Adolfo can start a new life without the ghosts of his past coming back to hunt him. Adolfo says he does not care about going to jail-but he has to protect his loved ones, Josefina, his sister, his niece, he cries and in doing so breaks the heart of viewers everywhere. Padre Anselmo tells him that he will always be there and that he will pray for him but if something happens to EZ he will have to speak up, even if it means saying bye bye to the priesthood.
Listen to the Padre EZ!
Padre Anselmo goes to visit EZ who is getting ready to leave for a political campaign stop, he asks EZ not to go, and then offers to go with him, EZ tells him that if he worried for his safety he shouldn't be, he has gotten more security and everything will be ok. The padre tells him to take care of himself and to be careful, he says that he will never forget that if not for him he would be dead. EZ leaves. Now, we all know EZ is a rat bastard but I hope he dies without Carlota finding this out, because it does seem like he has always been good to her, telling her a few scenes prior to this one that she is the reason he is where he is because behind every great man there's a great woman.
A new family member:
Alejandro takes Montse to a Toyota dealership where he has arranged for her to get a minivan (blah!), from afar JL watches them. I have a theory that maybe he is being so stalky because he knows that Medina is alive and is just watching over Montse and co to make sure they are okay, or he could just be a creeper!

Awesome recap!!! Quick question, did Adolfo admit he helped Pedro escape? I watched that scene twice to see if I understood but still doubt.
Interesting Rosario telling Montse now was the time to stop judging Graciela but yes she can stop judging Graciela because we on the Patio will surely be doing all the judging needed!
Very painful watching Adolfo with him knowing his fantasy is over/will never be and all he can do is try to protect those he loves.
Pedro's anvil needs to be so much more than a bullet for all of the misery he has caused so many people. I cannot stand that crazy BM but making her crawl for her drugs was beyond despicable.
Looks like EZ's time could be coming to a close but the again, who knows?
Jarifa
This was outstanding, for so many reasons. The headings made me smile: "Macairo needs a health class refresher course" and "A new family member" in particular.
Thank you for translating the conversations, that was so helful.
My favorite line was "Adolfo says he does not care about going to jail-but he has to protect his loved ones, Josefina, his sister, his niece, he cries and in doing so breaks the heart of viewers everywhere".
In that chilling moment, any hope for his redemption dissipated. I can only hope he achieves an honorable end, saving one of the lives he so deeply cherishes.
I was a bit surprised Maria is Pedro's cohort in crime. I might not take too much stock in her dependability, as she seems to be losing her grasp on reality with each passing moment.
I keep thinking Pedro cannot be any more vile, and now this.
I am dreading tonight. I have little hope EZ will survive. Will all his nefarious deeds surface or will they die along with him?
Madelaine, I saw you are back and am so happy! I read your theory and can only state I am fervently hoping JL can be somewhat redeemed because on his present course, it appears he will crash and burn. Alone. Totally alone. In honor of the character he used to possess, I hope that is not the case.
Macario is an idiot. Kevin is a sweetheart. Remove the sour expression and give the kid a hug.
Eli, thank you. This was great.
Diana
Re: the previews. I think that EZ doesn't die. My theory is that he has a bulletproof vest on--either because of knowing Medina is gunning for him or because Adolfo warned him. Notice, Adolfo didn't take the head shot--but then he never does. That's rule #1 on in the Assassin's how-to handbook (or should be).
Nanette
The mad dog is just a creeper, though. If he was watching out for them he wouldn't do what the avances show him doing - startling Montse so badly that he puts her life at risk.
Thanks muchly for this most splendid recap. I agree that JL is keeping an eye on Monse. I also agree with what Carlos said yesterday about Monse, she continues to throw digs at JL.
So now we know for sure that BM did the vandalism, I just knew it couldn't be JL. No way.
I swear Addled is starting to remind me of Tony Soprano, with his "therapy" by the Padre. I think to Addled the Padre has become someone he can tell things too, with being outted for who he really is. I'm glad the Padre warned EZ though. I was surprised by that.
Did BM go back on the drugs is this why she is the way she is now? Her little speech to Ale was scary.
I too want this one to end, I'm tired of the saccharin of Ale and Monse, Esme being pig headed, Refug not giving an inch, and the only one I want to see is Fina, and hoping nothing happens to her.
And how incredibly dumb is Mac. I laughed about your sex education line Eli, it was too funny. As our wise Carlos has reminded us all from time to time, it only takes the one time to make a bebe. Mac should have remembered that. And what is the big deal with Kevin's name? I think it's great, we already have an Eric.
I didn't like Gracie's treatment of Rosie either. Ya know, I think I will join the Crackpot Theorists on her true condition too. I think she's faking, she probably paid off the Doc. We'll have to see, but I'm not buying she is terminal.
Thanks again Eli for this fab recap.
Thanks for the welcome back. I have missed Y'all muchly! I think JL will come round, really I do. I can't help defending him. He's my favorite character, a bit misguided perhaps, but still redeemable in my eyes. We will just have to wait and see I guess ; )
To whomever asked, Adolfo did not help Pedro, he was just guilty of not finishing him off when he had the chance.
Eli, "health class refresher course"!!!I LOVE it! What Macario needs is a good slap in the face. Someone needs to tell him to start acting LIKE A MAN. Holy cow! What in the world is this guy thinking?!
Madelaine, I'm sorry to say that it made me literally sick to watch JL dish it out to Montserrat about the damage to that car. I think this man is too far gone. His words are sickening and his actions are worse.
I can't explain it, but I was not buying Rosario's little lecture to Montserrat about how she should let bygones be bygones and move forward. Yes, I believe in forgiveness, but I think that forgiveness has to be laced with a good dollop of honesty. Every time Dimitrio has tried to be honest in his feelings with his mother, Montserrat shuts him up and says "now's not the time". I call BS on that. This only enables Graciela further. Nonetheless, Rosario was getting on my nerves last night with the lecture ESPECIALLY since Graciela is using her as a servant. CLEARLY, Alejandro caught on to that very quickly. I gave Alejandro major points last night. He made a point and won with Graciela when he told her he was getting her a nurse. He didn't let her run the argument as she usually does.
I think what bothered me about Rosario's Lecture, is that it reminded me about a friend of mine who tells all of her other friends that "things will be alright". I finally told one time when I was in the midst of bona fide trauma, that even though I knew she didn't mean it that way, what I HEARD was: "Fatima, shut up. I am not interested". I have not seen much of this friend anymore which is probably for the best, but I felt I was honest in a kind way.
As for the rest of these jokers, there is TOO much VENGANZA. It's getting really old. I'm afraid some of them are going to experience spontaneous combustion secondary to their VENGANZA
There are now 4 at the "Graciela is Faking It" table!!!

Can you tell me the name of the character who becomes Esmerelda's friend and the name of the song he sang last night? It was lovely.
"Alejandro stood in the tiny jail cell- the look on his face said it all, he finally seemed to understand that Maria, his childhood friend and companion had lost her sh*t."
"My first thought is 'run you crazy fool, hide, lock yourself in your room before he can hurt you", but Maria does nothing of the sort and soon it becomes clear why"
"I mumble "then die already and save us all the trouble"-and before anyone says that that's mean I want to remind you that I'm not very nice, I once wished for the death of every character on CI, of this I am not ashamed!"
Great job Eli!
Jarifa, yes watching Adolfo was painful. He is totally lost and redemption seems so far away now. However, like Nanette, I'm also thinking EZ is smart enough to wear a bullet proof vest. It's too soon for him to go down. Isn't he the only one that knows it was Maria that shot Montse? He needs to reveal that, unless Maria, in her craziness, like last night, reveals it herself.
My other thought regarding Maria, we know she vandalized Montse's car, but I doubt she has been helping Medina from the moment he was shot. At that time, she was fearful of him killing her. She had no business being at his house, and she would have told Adolfo if she knew he was alive.
As for JL, he keeps popping up everywhere Montse is! What a STALKER! Besides showing up at the car dealer, he was also watching them when Ale left the jail. And the avances showing him in Montse's car, just outrageous!
Madelaine, welcome back and welcome to the Crackpot Theorists's "Graciela isn't dead" table (thanks Fatima for setting up the table for us). When Ale walked in last night, he didn't say anything, but I'm pretty sure he caught her snarky comments thinking she was reprimanding Rosie for taking so long with her coffee. I'm still thinking she is trying to play them all!

We're not going back there again are we? Well I guess we are. Is it murder? I'm not an expert in criminality but let's see---Adolfo
was being held captive, driven to a secluded place and then supposedly was going to be let go.
Was there a change of plans? Would he be shot as he started to walk away? Adolfo didn't know and so when his hands were untied, he sprang into action, grabbed the gun and got the drop on thug #1. Now at this point I guess that you could say that Adolfo was fighting for his life. Immediately
thug #2 drew a gun and aimed it at Adolfo's head. A standoff began
Adolfo then shot thug #1 in the back {that would be murder} The bullet passed through Thug #1 and also took out thug #2. Then Adolfo
shot them again {murder} to be sure that they were dead. In a court of law I guess that Adolfo could argue self defense but I don't think that it would hold up. Murder 1st degree or murder 2nd degree? I don't know. As I said, I'm not an expert on criminal law.
A side note---The gun that was used was a Beretta 92fs 9mm. I am pretty certain that a 9mm wouldn't pass through one person and take out a second person. I don't even think that a 40 S&W would do that. A 357 magnum yes or a 10mm but a 9mm? It's a novela

""then die already and save us all the trouble"
Ditto!! The whining is just too much. I'll add I don't think she's faking, the tumor is probably legit, but this woman will never change her stripes. Her weeping is always because SHE wants to feel better about herself and have everyone forgive her...sort of justifying all the crap she did all those years.
Oh, and on CI--didn't we all want the whole crew to just go Kaboom by the end. Talk about painful...
If there isn't a statuette handed to Ferdinando for his role as Adolfo, I don't know who should. The myriad of emotions, going from a lost young man, a cad, a cold blooded killer to a repentant sinner to a loving brother....and every step believable. I have been pissed at the character, and appalled at times at his antics, but the challenge of making someone like that sympathetic and frankly, human, is very difficult. Brava.
I panicked at the idea of Padre going with EX thinking, crud, he'll be the one shot. I'm sort of getting nervous about the possible body count we may see before this ends. Maria will most likely end up in the asylum, but for others, I can't see a way out for their past crimes. Pedro, well, he deserves the biggest anvil money can buy, but there's always the potential for the good guys to get in the line of the fire.
I find that already in watching Mi Corazon before this one, I'm having a hard time wanting to watch the death and destruction that is hitting in this TN. This isn't going to be a pleasant few weeks.
Daisynjay
I'm really sick of the inane whisperings of Montse and Ale. We get it. You loooove each other. If they didn't talk about how much they love each other I don't think they'd have anything else to talk about. M&A are as bad, if not worse, than Jesus and Alma on PEAM.
I guess we're in for more scenes featuring the unique and wonderful features of Montse's new Toyota van, especially the air bags. Toyota is definitely getting their money's worth out of sponsoring this TN. I wonder if we'll see scenes of the Tundra and the Van romantically parked side-by-side on the beach at sunset.
Count me in at the "Gracie's Faking It" table. I can't remember - Gracie knew for over a year that Pedro was alive. Did she ever tell anyone?
-Kat
Padre Anslemo and Fofo shined last night. Very powerful acting by those two.
Notice how Ale has become just about a secondary character; it's the tormented souls of JL and Adolfo that repel/attract us, along with the Padre providing the moral core of this novela.
What a great recap. I love the font you use Eli. It is so easy to read for those of us with poor eyesight.
I don't know that many of us bloggers really think it was Maria helping Peddy all along. Didn't we agree that she couldn't have helped him get up on her own?
Also, I'm sick of Mac and the way he treats Kevin. He should be thankful that this wonderful boy traveled all the way to AguaAzul (from the "other side" but which state?) to get to know his dad.
Can't wait for this novela to end. It's been dragging on for so long.
"Graciela tells him not to worry, her time on planet earth is coming to an end and they won't have to put up with her for much longer. I mumble "then die already and save us all the trouble" - ROFL!! Indeed! That's exactly what she needs to do. What a miserable woman. I am happy Alejandro said she would get her a nurse. Best idea he's come up with to date.
"Alejandro takes Montse to a Toyota dealership where he has arranged for her to get a minivan (blah!)...." I was so disappointed. I was hoping she would get a Tundra instead of a van - boring.
Ugh! I can't take too much more of JL! He is totally creeping me out in a "Sleeping With the Enemy" and "Fatal Attraction" kind of way.
To the other recappers from last Friday's episode through this Tuesday's, thanks for the recaps. The comments from everyone were great too. I had wanted to add mine but life got in the way.
We have more drama tonight. Should be interesting.
Caryn
Madelaine, glad to see you back! Agree with all you said about JL. He’s a mess right now, but I can't believe he's as bad as he seems. I care more about him than our two love birds.
Rosario's attitude of forgiveness must have helped her get through having a baby by a rapist and being convicted and imprisoned for something she didn't do. But what works for her, doesn't necessarily work for someone else. Though in Monse's case, I think she's doing the right thing taking Graciela in. Despite her mother, Monse is living a happy ever after with the man she loves and with money and live-in service. Good thinking on Ale's part to hire a nurse so his mom won't get abused.
Crackpot Theorists™: So if Graciela's is faking it, does she love her kids? Cause that would mean that she's going without fancy clothes, jewelry, makeup, and Italy - all to get in with her kids.
Thanks so much for this and all the excellent work you've been doing on Caray Caray! Your efforts are greatly appreciated by us all. I was laughing constantly throughout this entire recap. I especially LOVED your whole retelling of the Maury show in order to prove Padre A. wrong. Also, the way you got in Padre A's reaction to Kevin's name:
"I mean it's a beautiful name but they could have called you Panchito or Jorgito."
I always get so much pleasure reading your fun, funny, and very well-observed recaps.
Thanks again! Hope you can get some sleep!
Best to you and everyone!
Julia R.
From all of the comments that I have read about Graciela and the way that she had always used people [even her own children] for
her own benefit, I just don't think that the leopard has changed her spots. No, not even after the death of Fabiola. I would like to pull up a chair at the "Graciela's Is Faking It" table.
And something that will probably stir up a hornet's nest of comments but say it I must. If I were to vote for the worst villain
it would have to be for Hector Suarez Gomiz who played Fernando Cordoba in Por Siempre Me Amor. I
don't know why but that guy gave me the creeps, Pedro Medina just doesn't.
the gringo
Great work, Eli. You're a trouper.
To answer someone else's question, EZ is not the only person who knows that Maria shot Monserrat; Adolfo is the other. He realized it when he saw the disguise and the gun in the same drawer. That's two murder attempts he failed to report.
Montse and Ale got back together are very immature. I didn't think that he was responsible for the vandalism
on the car and was so happy that I was correct. I still
hope he finds someone in the end, but I realize it's late.
Thank you for all the great recaps.
I'm beginning to doubt in the prospects for the redemption of our María. The writers have treated her so unkindly. I'm so hoping that she has not resorted to using drugs again or has allied with Pedro, but what we saw of her last night suggests otherwise. Not too long ago when she reeled off her little hit list, Pedro was near the top. Seeing her crawling on the floor to retrieve those drug packets was so pitiful.
I want to see some genuine crazy (yet clear-headed and sober) vengeance from her directed at Pedro and EZ... not drug addled compliance with her odious oppressor. And please please please ditch that wig.
Hi gringo, I knew you couldn't resist a little discussion about Adolfo's handling of his perilous situation. Frankly, considering the circumstances, I think all in all he dealt with things rather well. It's not like he had to do something he was unaccustomed to.
Like Daisynjay, I've so enjoyed Adolfo throughout this TN. He was a delight as a foppish conniving parasite, very convincing as a morally conflicted victim of circumstances, and now as an introspective reluctant drug lord and assassin. How chilling was his euphemistic explanation to Fina of his unpleasant need to terminate a business associate followed by her innocently naive reassurance? Yikes!
I'm still wanting to see a bonding between a repentant dying Gracie and a cloyingly sweet and forgiving Rosario. A positive example for us all.
Carlos
Niece you ask a good question: "So if Graciela's is faking it, does she love her kids?" I have always thought she loves her kids. She just has a horrible way of showing it. My theory is that she will make do without her make up and "nice" clothes to get pity out of them because she doesn't want to be alone. Then maybe she will have a "miraculous cure" once they have allowed her back into their good graces.

I have never been a Maria fan but I finally felt pity for her last night. Seeing her crawl along the floor for those drugs was very unsettling. Plus, dang it, Alonso went to a lot of trouble to get her OFF drugs. All that effort of the health professionals and a man, who despite huge flaws and brutal sins, really cared about her as a human being--now wasted, thanks to the machinations of Pedro.
Eli, I too got to the point where I pretty much wanted everyone in CI to die (especially the director!)and for the first time I actually found Rosario annoying last night. And the woman is a saint! Just another sign that we're all worn out from all the screaming, crying, dying and drama and this baby needs to wrap up soon.
Thanks for the recap and hope you were able to go back to bed and sleep afterwards.
I know I've said it already, but I distinctly recall the writers having us believe in Ep 84 that Pedro lost the whole combo plate and not just the avocados. If all he lost were the avocados he could have had implants. He's already taking testosterone suppliments, so if he still had the tamale he could perform. He'd be shooting blanks, but that wouldn't be the end of the world.
He hates women but that predated his castration.
I'm with Fatima and Kat as far as forgiveness goes. Yes, forgiveness is necessary for oneself, but amnesia is not. Monts can forgive her dearest mommy and keep her at a healthy distance, until/if/when Graciela changes her ways. As it is. Graciela spews her venomous vomit everywhere she goes.
Marea Primavera
Urban:
I too thought that Pedro lost the "whole combo" plate. How funny is that metaphor! Avocados, bananas, etc. etc. Can't to tell my husband that his "cojones" have other names!
Well, I am usually wrong about these story lines. I was so sure that JL's delight at the vandalized car meant that he did it or hired someone to do it. Crazy Maria strikes again. Just imagine what this chick could have accomplished in her life if she had channeled all that energy that she spent pursuing Ale and trying to hurt Mony into some positive pursuit. Wow..what a wasted life.
I still think that Gracie is really sick...but remember..I am usually wrong. Like so many of you, I applaud Ale for telling Gracie that he is going to hire a nurse. This decision is , perhaps, the smartest move Ale has made. I hated seeing Gracie bossing Rosario around like a servant.
And, yes, the novela has morphed into The Fofito Show. Poor Ale has not had much to do lately except tell Mony how much he adores her and tell JL how much he hates him. ..over and our and over again. He did get to punch him and go to prison again. Plus, he got another scene with crazy Maria ...who has finally gone around the bend and is now living in her own little world where she is Mony. I felt sorry for her last night as she was cowering at Ped's feet. When he pulled off the wig , he revealed the hairstyle that I like best on her. She really is so pretty with her delicate features and dark eyes and hair.
I have no idea where this is headed. I hope no one gives any spoilers.
Yola
Yes, no spoilers please.
I do hope though that someone will post a link to the alternate ending at the end of the novela.
I've looked on the websites for Univision (Novelas y Series) and Televisa (2esmas) and don't see anything about one or two alternate endings.
For "Teresa", I was able to watch all three endings (one of which was the real one) on the show "Christina". But now that Christina no longer has a show, who knows where to look. I was surprised to learn that AB liked one of the other endings better than the one which actually showed. Again, who gets to pick the one that they air? Do they have different endings for Mexico than the US and other countries?
So for those who know, please post the link at the end of the show.

I know we are using avocados for you know what....
I can't believe someone came up with such a funny metaphor as avocados.
Sometimes while reading blogs, I laugh so hard at the comments, my stomach hurts.
I wish I had such an imagination!
Niecie, I honestly don't know if Graciela loves her children. What I do know is that she is a very, very smart con. A con like her can "do without" to get the con done. I may be wrong when all is said and done, but I'm sticking to my Crackpot Theory.
Even better...my comments re Rosario have been validated by none other than the wonderful JudyB! Yippee!! If JudyB who can see so much good in everyone was just a wee bit annoyed with Rosario, too, last night, then that makes me feel much better. :)
gringo, thank you for the interesting ballistics information!

I agree with those who think BM will end up in a manicomnio. She has totally lost it. I wish I could feel sorry for her during those Peddy scenes, but I can't. She has done too much damage.
I like Addie, but I knew from the time he started working for Peddy that he would end up dead or in prison. I also think that EZ may be wearing a vest. Just a hunch, or theory.
back to work...hasta pronto!
I enjoy your recaps so much! You have a finely honed sense of satire.

Anonymous thank you so much for the YouTube link. I loved SR and AB in Teresa and loved the novela.
I didn't realize that "Junto A Ti" was one of the theme songs for Abismo. I like that novela also, although it wasn't highly recommended (3 votes only) by bloggers responding to the Caray, Caray blog regarding recommended novelas.
I've watched the YouTube video of "Junto A Ti" several times since the song aired on LQLVMR and think it is so romantic.
I remember Alex Sirvent from "Para Volver a Amar" where his character was of ambivalent sexuality. His acting was superb in this novela. Besides which, he is so good looking.
Thanks for the recap. I so appreciate your work—especially when you were so tired.
I was tickled by how Macario thought that "Once Was Not Enough".
But, dear Eli, I have to tell you, my heart did not break for Adolfo He is a stone killer and you cannot repent of killing if you do not stop killing people.

Hah, I just filled in the actors for "Canaveral de Pasiones" on my Recommended Novelas spreadsheet and noticed that the leading actors were Juan Soler (I love him and his smile) and Daniela Castro.
I'm marking CDP as "must watch"!
I feel bad for Adolfo but he is acting quite selfish regarding Josefina but he has to protect her somehow..I wish he did the killing shot to the head on Perro when he had the chance!Though im certain that even if Adolfo had killed Pedro,EZ would still be there to torment his life.
I still believe that Gracie is faking her illness,i wonder how she will explain herself to Monse and Dim when these months are over and she is still alive and kicking!
My job has changed such that I don't have much time to read recaps-unless it is the next day, sorry. Wish I could read all the comments, they are amusing and I love the give and take I read.
As a member of the crackpot theorists, and realizing no one is going to read this at this late date, I have to agree with those who question whether Monse should forgive her mother.
Yes, she should forgive. But not because Graciela deserves it now, or poor Gracie, has brain tumor now. (WHICH I QUESTION, BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T SEEM TO BELIEVE IT HERSELF!)
You forgive because you choose to, because you, yourself, are also not perfect and are also in need of forgiveness, and as someone said earlier, it frees you for your own healing.
HOWEVER, Gracie has no understanding that she has actually transgressed, and hasn't fully humbled herself, and is keeping some secrets and is manipulating, well, is still HER.
So this is not Rosy and Monse, knowing fully Gracie will never change, and in full knowledge of all her sins and current manipulations, forgive her anyway but accept and acknowledge who she is, but now actively choosing not to maintain a grudge or vendetta against her.
That's forgiveness.
There is no basis for this type of unconditional forgiveness because Monse and Rosy are deceived. They are not really forgiving the actual sin because they don't know her sin, which is that she is a walking, lying sack of $##. They are merely having an Aww, poor thing moment. Not the same as forgiveness.
I hate those TN "aw poor thing" moments.
Emarie...Amen to that! And agree wholeheartedly with all the rest of your post as well.
