Hasta el Fin del Mundo #22 20140916 The Pretty People Plot and The Dumb People Take a Vacation
Labels: hasta
Sounds like Irma really wants to get ahead especially when she mentioned a garage for Armando if they sold their property. Theirs could be a problem of ambition: maybe she is more ambitious than he is. Whatever the case, Armando is too nice to end up with Alexa.
I loved the scenes at the country house between Chava and Sofía.
Jarifa
You hit your stride with “Apparently, Coria had lost all five of his senses right before he kicked the bucket and couldn't discern the difference between the hands of a hairy man a delicate woman” and “ little tudie”.
Your recap was exceptional.
As far as Chava being surprised about the engagement, you’re right in that Sophia’s outsize engagement ring was hard to miss. But, I don’t think Sophia has been exuding any of the usual excited bride to be babble. The engagement party hasn’t happened yet and I think Chava is too busy staring adoringly at her to notice much else.
Irma is relentless, isn’t she? She will never be satisfied. She will always want the next bigger and better. Jarifa, I think Irma mentioning the garage was simply to entice him in that there was something "in it" for him if they sold and moved. Providing a living wage to support his family is important. Where and how they live isn't. I don’t see much hope for she and Armando at all, even if Alexa were not in the mix.
Alexa is going to take whatever attitude Armando chooses to dish out to her. He is the only person who doesn't coddle her.
Matias is right. Marisol is going to set her sights on Lucas as soon as she sees him. I honestly can’t remember back far enough to when I was their age, but, trying to be as objective as possible through younger eyes, I just don’t get Lucas’s allure. At all.

I'm predicting he's going use it to blackmail Greta. Just wait and see!
Diana
I completely agree with
“Alexa helps to defile the impeccable reputation her family by striking suggestive poses on every surface of the chocolate factory”.
Not sure what they have to do with chocolate.
I loved this
"Apparently, Coria had lost all five of his senses right before he kicked the bucket and couldn't discern the difference between the hands of a hairy man a delicate woman."
also loved
"Anyways, the show ends with Beauty and the Beast sitting within kissing range of each other. They stare deeply at one another."
Will they finally kiss?? We'll have to wait until tonight to find out.
I'm hoping this doesn't happen but it seems inevitable. No spoilers just my speculation.
For example, he'll say "I'll tell Sofia the truth about who her real father is"
This TN reminds me of the "Jump the Broom" movie, where Paula Patton's character finds out that Angela Bassett wasn't her bio mother.
Marvelous recap, thank you so much.
Diana: I so agree with you about Irma. I too think she threw that mechanic's shop in to get what she wants.
Alexa and Armie were funny sniping at each other. He knows what his job is, he should not have told her to take a taxi. Greta sure won't be happy at that.
I had to laugh at Matthias and he will keep a good eye on Lucas I have no doubt. I had to laugh at Matthias flirting with Silvie too.
Who knew that Dani is actually doing what her Mama said.
Pato is just an idiot. I have to say that Silvie is the brains of that operation. I'll have to laugh if Pato fails completely. Looks like tonight, according to the avances he goes out to the country house. What will he do when he finds out Chava is with Sofia? This won't be good.
I liked that Pato was frustrated at every turn. First with Sofia not caving to his demand to rip up the prenup and taking off, and then with the paternity test not coming out the way he expected. It will be really hard for him to find a link between Greta and Paco, since they have had nothing to do with each other in over 30 years. But, yes, he could still blackmail her by simply telling her he knows Sofia had a different daddy, and even bluffing like he knows who it is.
I don't know why Sofia is thinking so hard about this. He father tasked her with protecting the company-- the prenup is a way of doing that. No more explanation is needed for Pato. And if she has to think this hard about wanting to walk down the aisle with Pato, then she shouldn't. There is NO reason for her to do it. She's young, beautiful, and successful. And she's not pregnant. Why does she need Pato, a man who doesn't even make her tingle?
Renzi hit the jackpot when he encountered Irma. I'm sure she will give him all the info he wants about which neighbors would be a soft-touch for selling, and which ones are trouble. I know the offer is tempting, but would it really provide enough money for them to buy another house outright in another/better part of the city, AND a mechanic's biz for Armie?
Cynderella
Would Pato be stupid enough to accuse Greta without some concrete evidence to back it up? Greta could just say he's trying to get back at her because he's angry about the pre-nup. Is he that stupid? Maybe.
I have to admit I was kind of surprised that Chava didn't know Sofia was engaged.
With the sale, maybe Armando could get a loan to finance a garage. I don't blame Irma for wanting to move to a bigger place, but I do fault her all the spending.
A chauffer telling his boss to catch a cab? Armando's going to pay for that one.
