Mi Corazón Cap #37 Highlights

[Highlights from Jarifa and Martivett --Thanks a million to both of you!!]

Fernando with a "deer in the headlights" look and after being brought back to reality by Isabela finally says "I do". It is very surreal for him.

At that point, Ana cannot take any more and trips on her way out of the church and interrupts the ceremony. Diego follows her. She goes to the emergency room and has a sprain. They leave and go to have some street food. He tells her of his international adventures.

Fernando and Isabela leave in the limo and are smooching in the back.

Fanny explains "honeymoon" to younger kids.

Yolanda shows up demanding to know where her room will be. Bruno shows her a vacant room and she is not impressed and goes back to her house to say goodbye to Isabela before she goes on her honeymoon.

Leon's wife calls him and he has to leave Fanny to go and see to his son who is ill. He lies to Fanny and says he has to go take car of a buddy who was in an accident. Fanny knows something is off.

Fernando has talk with dad. Tells dad that Isabela is not to blame for the situation as it is. Nico reminds him it does take two to get pregnant. Fer only wants Isabela to be happy. Then Fer sees Diego carrying Ana in and it is clear he is not happy.

Fernando says goodbye to the kids and staff. He apologizes to Ana on the way out to leave for his honeymoon. Ana is upset again.

Ana is back crying on her bed when her "fairy" tells her to be happy with the full life she has and just to deal with it.

Fernando is back in the limo thinking about the past and all the great experiences with Ana but telling himself he just has to forget Ana.

Yolanda tells Isabela that the wedding bed is a fundamental to a good marriage so she needs to be like a geisha.
Fernando and Isabela are off on their honeymoon.

León explains to Tamara his wife that he has a girlfriend. She is surprised. León gives Mao his son the medicine his mother got from the doctor for him.

Isabela calls Alicia as she and Fernando are checking into the honeymoon hotel. Alicia asks Isabela to help her plan her quinceañera. Isabela will be more than happy to.

Fanny calls León to touch base and he says it was all a misunderstanding and that his friend wasn't in an accident after all. Fanny is not happy and talks to Ana about her suspicions that León is lying to her about something. Ana will help her get to the truth.

Even with her sprained ankle, Ana is on her way to work. Diego gives her a heads up because his dad Nico is going to the Chicago club to see Jennifer.

As his honeymoon night is about to begin, Fernando is still thinking of Ana and the kids. Isabela comes out in a black negligee. She asks if he likes it. He says she is beautiful. She says she is going to make his wedding night unforgettable.

====================
They leave and go to have some street food. He tells her of his international adventures. (yes, she tells him he is probably not used to street food, and he tells her she doesn't know him yet, that he has eaten even live porcupines and rats... in different countries he has been at)

Fernando and Isabela leave in the limo and are smooching in the back. (more like he was pulled into smooching, but not really into it, as hard as he tried to)

Fanny explains "honeymoon" to younger kids. (when it was mentioned that her dad was in his honeymoon Luz argued that the moon was made of chees and not honey, thus the explanation required)

I also remember toward the end Fanny confronted Leon and told him she knew he was lying to her or at least holding something from her. He was at the virge of crying trying to find a response to that (they were on phone) but you could tell he was conflicted.

When Ana went up to her room after Fernando said 'sorry' to her a few more times on his way out, Bruno was there to console her, kissing her hand. Diego seems to be practicing a lot of restraint, he could tell how Ana still feels for Fernando by her reactions and her crying when he left.
Even Ana's fairy told her to go after Diego, at least it will stay 'in the family'.

Jarifa and Martaivett!! That was fantastic that you were both able to remember so much and to put this episode up so quickly!

THANK YOU!!!

--Ana is in a lose-lose situation. In my view, Fer is not worth it, but then we'd have no story. Diego, player that he is, is more worth it. He shows the potential to "reform". Fer is stuck in his rigid ways.

Does anyone see Alicia as a potential "problem child" for Ana down the road?

Fatima

it is tough to figure out Leon's kid's name, Leon just calls him 'chaparro' which is a nickname.

A couple of very small things to add.

Sebas continues to listen to the rap music and hides his tablet from Ana as she is saying good-night. She knows that something is up. I guess we can expect more misadventures with his interest in the street dancers.

Tamara says that she regrets leaving Leon. She realizes the importance of love, etc. Looks like she was expecting to be greeted with open arms, despite the fact that she never let him know where they were.

Ana counsels Fanny to trust her intuition that something isn't right with Leon. She asks about his mother, seeming to suggest that Margarita may be able to tell her something.

Jennifer is still feeling low about the surgery and her inability to have children, though the cancer is in remission.

Two cute Luz-isms. She refers to Yolanda as La bruja mayor and the Luna de miel as the Luna de azucar.

Fatima:
I agree with you that Ana is in a no-win situation, that Fer is not worth it but Diego is , as he has shown the intent or potential to change. I hope Ana doesn't let Isabruja get to her, although I'm sure she will.
Jarifa and Martaivett thanks so much for the quick and well-detailed recap from memory.

Great episode! Fernando is way out of his depth in his dealing with Isabela and Ana. I wanted to just slap him as he he apologized to Ana. Again, he was just trying to make himself feel better because he is so guilty over the way he treated Ana. There was no thought of how it might make her feel.

I got a good laugh out of Luz asking if Yolanda was "la mamá de la bruja" and then asking if she wouldn't then be "la bruja mayor". ("the witch's mother"/"the older witch").

Jarifa

• Tamara only regrets leaving Leon and taking their child because when her mother was dying, she told Tamara that love was something hard to find and one shouldn't let it escape.

Tamara didn’t come to this conclusion on her own. It just seems as if she realized she didn’t have a meal ticket anymore. As, some commented yesterday, she hasn’t done anything to better herself or to learn how to take care of herself or her child.

Also, we know that Tamara took their child without a thought and never, ever contacted Leon to let him know where they were. At this point, Leon has my vote; because I think what Tamara did was unpardonable. It seems as if Leon did everything within his power to find Tamara and their son, with no luck. Maybe he was stupid in not telling Fanny, but he is still young, married too young, had a child too young, but took full responsibility for his wife and son. This is something that most young guys probably wouldn't be willing to do.
But yes, he should have told Fanny. I don't think he is just a gold-digger though. I think he honestly loves Fanny.

Maybe it's just me, but I think that Fernando, while lost and overwhelmed, has much more potential than Diego.

Fernando is a man blinded by grief and his sense of duty. He knows how to be a faithful and giving partner and wants someone to lead him to a warmer relationship with his children.

Diego is an absolute charmer. He lights up the screen and has proven that he can save the day for just about everyone. I loved the way that he lifted his chin for Fernando to kiss him good-bye, the way that Fernando had kissed the children. But as Nico suggested, Diego is a free spirit, his past relationship with his brother colors his relationships with Ana, and his mujeriego past is not a great recommendation. That behavior is hard to change.

So, I have drunk the Kool-Aid of the basic plot-line here. But I agree that Fernando has not been anywhere his best and is about to descend into a dark hole of demands from Isa and Yolanda that only the gods or goddesses (remembering UA's recap yesterday) are going to dig him out of.

I think that poor Alicia is going to be sorely disappointed by her new best-buddy and given her lack of self-confidence it is going to be devastating.

Thank you Jarifa and Martaivett and Mati for filling in so nicely.

I feel badly for Ana, Fer - not so much. I hesitate to have Diego pair up with Ana simply because it seems she is destined to be with Fer. That would be yet another rejection for Diego. And I think the kids would prefer her as a stepmother rather than aunt.

Diana

I hope I don't vomit tonight because it looks like Fer does the "deed" with Isabruja. Since this is telenovelaland, Ana will forgive him of course, while her behavior with others must be beyond approach.

Victoria, I agree with your comments. That's the part that makes me want to vomit (Ana's end of the deal).

Fatima

Thanks guys, (Jarifa and Martaivett and Mati) that was quick.

Jarifa, I agree Fernando continuing to reset his hook with apologies and a quick I love you is selfish.

I think Fernando is digging some of Isabela's kisses and Victoria it does seem to be a double standard in TN land. The man sleeps around and the woman must be a nun.

I'll say again, I like Diego a lot but Nic knows and called him out on the possibility this had plenty to do with the score to be settled between brothers. Make a decision for the family and leave her alone or go for what he thinks will make him happy and blow things up. Anyway, it is selfish on all fronts because Fernando, Diego and Nic talk about her as if she were a horse to be traded.

Fernando - "please don't fling me in dat brier-patch"

Alicia - going, going, gone

Leon - Mexican divorce, a..clown

Luz - hit it outta the park every night

Yolanda - I ain't livin in no pigsty

Ana - "Gloom, despair, and agony on me
Deep, dark depression, excessive misery
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all
Gloom, despair, and agony on me"

Isabela - Let's get it on

Tamara - not crazy bout those bangs

Diego - a man with that many scars has caused twice as many marks

Tofie:

That's great - like a horse to be traded. So true.

Isabruja - Let's get it on. Fer won't say no I'm sure.

Jarifa and Marta--You guys ROCK!!! Thanks for the quick recaps for us lost souls out here in the "what did they say again" land.

I wasn't happy with Fer last night. I don't know, I get what he said to Nico about moving on and making Isabitch happy, but he really looked like someone enjoying himself far too much when he wasn't daydreaming about Ana. Maybe I just wanted to see him less really into the smooching and less smiling. I'll try to pretend it was all an act, though so not sure. His hitting the ground running with her doesn't bode well for Ana either since it just gives Isabitch more leverage to be a pain once home again.

One aspect of Silvia's acting I've always loved is that she really gets in character and if that means she is eating up a storm and chewing, she does it. No stuffy I need my hair just so, and heaven forbid food passes my lips actress. I LOVED that scene with her and Diego chopping away so much for the naturalness of it. So hard to watch their ease with each other and chemistry just popping and know he's not supposed to be her perfect match. Argh!!!

Still not giving Leon a pass for keeping the fact he has a wife and child, whether they were missing or not, from Fanny. This is not going to be pretty when he tells her.

Sebbie and dancing--make it stop.

I know we're supposed to chuckle at Yolanda, but I find her behavior rather tiring, thinking she's some sort of queen of the mansion and wanting to boss everyone around. That is going to get old to watch very fast.

Bear with me on this one...when Isabackbreaker jumped on Fer and was also acting goofy at the alter, my mind immediately went to "She is so Ana's sister". However, what's cute and endearing on Ana comes off false and nail scraping on Isa. Don't like the idea, but starting to wonder....

Bruno comforting Ana and kissing her hand...OMG. So sweet.

Daisynjay

Tofie, you have me laughing!

Jarifa

Daisynjay, Fernando was getting into it too much for my liking. Which brother really is the playboy.

The cowardly lion is a slimeball and he could easily have told Fanny way sooner with a built in excuse, Tamara's abandonment. There's got to be more to the story than two young kids getting pregnant and married. Wonder if Tamara's family wealthy and they had an issue with poor Leon and why he was so sensitive.

What wonderful teamwork! Thanks Jarifa and Marta. You rock!
Daisynjay, the same thought occurred to me that Ana and Isa----- might be related. Hope not, the implications will not be good. What am I saying, this is a TN. Everything is possible. Fer is like most men out there. Wanting to have their cake and eating eat too. He sure looked happy making out with his wife in the Limo. Why apologize to Ana? which of his missteps is he sorry for? Diego sees a challenge in Ana. like most created beings that means she has to be conquered. She is not playing hard to get, she is just not into him. That is his obsession. To change her mind.
Leon is old enough to know secrets always come out. He should remember how it felt when his wife kept secrets and vanished.

Hanna

Daisynjay,

So glad you mentioned that sweet scene with Bruno leading Ana upstairs.

I love it , too, when Luz does the thing that Ana does with waving her arms to calm down and start again. Luz and the twins are natural actors -- Sebas not so much, whether dancing or speaking.

I noticed Luz has picked up some of Ana's mannerisms too and so cute.

I really didn't like that apology from Fer to Ana. First off, in front of EVERYONE!! That hinted to me of covering your tracks, saying it more to the kids since he knows they love Ana much more than just as a Nanny, and to somehow make himself feel like he said or did something for going through with things.

My head went to a longer translation of : "Forgive me Ana, but I went through and married the woman who bad-mouthed you in the restaurant and humiliated you at the engagement party. So sorry, your life is about to become hell, but know I feel bad about that. Oh and by the way, I still actually love you so you'll have to deal with my jealousy and mooning too. And in nine months, you'll have another kiddie to take care of. Bye now."

See, my translation skills aren't very good.

Daisynjay

The only reason Alicia and Isabruja get along is because Isabruja has the maturity and temperament of a 15 year old girl. Alicia will eventually outgrow her.

I think the previews were more exciting than the show. When Fernando and Isa were getting it on, Fer sees Ana in front of him saying something, sorry I forget what, and it makes him not want to continue with Isa, lol. So they may not actually do anything.

I think that Diego talks Ana into performing at Chicago, knowing Nico was going to be there. Diego arrives at Chicago and runs into Nico. Nico asks what he's doing there, and Diego said he's there for the Big Show. Now Nico will know Ana's secret.

I thought of Luz calling Yolanda bruja mayor as Witch Senior.

No, Daisynjay your translating skills are good. He doesn't want Ana for a wife but doesn't want anyone else to have her either, especially Diego. He already is defending Isabela to Nic, the poor innocent Isabela.

Fernando hearing Isabela and Alicia's chat was very well timed and proof to him with a little time and no interference with Ana his decision right. Great tactical move by Isabela. Pick them off one at a time. Nando already is neutral. Ana should work on her resume.

Thanks commenters for the summary.

I was hoping for a lot more keening and wailing from the kids when Fer said "acepto". It should have sounded more like a funeral. And we didn't even get a reception? Oh, well, save that budget for a really blow-out deal when we finally have a happy wedding, I guess.

Not a very fun episode, but still with some funny little moments. I liked Luz talking about the moon being made of cheese, not honey. In Fer and Isa's case, I think it might be more like vinegar. In the avances it looks like Fer suffers some malfunctions!

Also liked Diego waiting for his kiss from Fer, after Fer kissed all the kids goodbye.

Leon is a moron. I liked that Fanny called him out and said "do you think I can't tell that you are lying?!" Dude. The longer you lie, the worse it will be. As Leo from QPTR would say: Opción A: you tell the truth and risk Fanny dumping you. Opción B: you lie and she dumps you for being a shady liar.

I say it's better to get dumped for the truth than for a lie! And if you tell the truth, there's always a chance she will understand and eventually take you back (like after a divorce, perhaps). But who wants to be with a sneaky liar?

Having both Isa and Yolanda playing queen of the castle is going to be a nightmare for the kids and staff. If Yolanda isn't careful, she might find herself getting the Unwanted Nanny Treatment.

Could Tamara be any more useless? She can't even call a doctor or take her kid's temperature herself?

Thanks Jarifa and Marta for jumping in with the highlights of last night’s ep.

I didn’t like that Bruno took Yola’s word for it when she said she was moving in. Did she tell him that Fer said it was all right? I was expecting Bruno to say something to Fer about it when they were in the library. I agree Daisy. For me, she’s going to be more annoying and intrusive than funny.

From the way Tamara acts and things she’s said, Leon is not a fault. Her acting as if he should immediately start being her husband again after she abandoned him is unreasonable. If she wants him, then she’s going to need to woo him.

The same for Isa. I think she loves Fer—or at least she’s convinced herself she does. She needs to start working on getting him to fall in love with her. She won’t, though, because she’s convinced herself that it’s a love match on both sides.

Ana sobbing on the bed and the fairy shows up, Seriously?! Maybe they thought since this was a comedy they’d better bring some lightness into the scene. Let’s face it, nobody does heartbreak better than SN.

I noticed Luz doing the calm breathing ritual at the wedding, too cute.

I think Fer is overwhelmed by all that’s happened. He’s doing what he thinks is best. He’s not a think outside the box kind of guy (Ana would have helped him with that). I believe his apology to Ana was sincere. I think when we apologize, even with a sincere one, it’s done a little bit to assuage our guilt. We’ve done something wrong. We apologize. We feel better because we’ve done the right thing by apologizing.

Maybe we should let Fer out of Viewerville jail. ☺ We’re in episode 37 of 180 eps. Plenty of time for him (and others) to grow and change. He certainly isn't the worst galan we've seen lately (ahem-Alejandro-ahem)

TN rules say that Ana and Fer will probably end up together. I don’t want to see Diego fall for Ana and get his heart broken. However, this situation is a little different. He knows that Ana and Fer love each other--that he will have to win Ana’s love. Right now she treats him like the eighth Luscurain child.

Carvivlie: “The only reason Alicia and Isabruja get along is because Isabruja has the maturity and temperament of a 15 year old girl. Alicia will eventually outgrow her.”—YES!!

Tofie: Loved these:

Alicia - going, going, gone
Luz - hit it outta the park every night

Nanette

I believe that Isa thinks she loves Fer, but I don't think that she actually does love him. I suspect she has no comprehension of real love for anyone else. Or probably of loving herself, either. I think she loves what being married to Fer can do for her financially and socially.

Like the Bible says, love is patient, love is kind, love doesn't rejoice in wrong, but rejoices in the right, something about seeking not your own...etc. Isa's relationship with Fer is the opposite of that. I think when you really love someone, you value their well-being and happiness at least as much as your own, and Isa doesn't care how much havoc and misery she's wreaking in Fer's life as long as he plays along with her wishes.

Ok, I had been working this idea in my mind for a while now and with the Bruno/Ana scene last night i want to throw a motion... maybe it will come true, maybe it won't.
I want Bruno to end up being Ana's real dad after her mom shows up... That would be a wonderful realization for the both of them. Would give Ana her real dad beside her and would give Bruno a close relative he can love and care for that ties him to the Lasc's and makes them all one big happy family in the end.

Julia,
i so agree with you on Isa maybe thinking she loves Fer but not really ... and the bible reading...
something about seeking not your own...
definitely came through when Ana told Fer at the beginning of the episode monday that she was honest in what she told him, that she wanted him to be happy... when have we heard Isa say this? she did tell Ana she wanted to make Fer happy but she said it from her own perspective, not his.

Another preview was YoMama laying in a lawnchair and Bruno bringing her a fruity drink. She may be worse than Isabela.

I thought Bruno was going to say something to Fer about Yomama moving in, too. I'm sure it wouldn't have made any difference if he did, though. Fer would feel obligated to let her. He'll probably feel obligated to pay for whatever decorating she wants, too. I hope Diego has some spare time to help Yomama feel "welcome". I have a feeling he has the skills to needle her under a guise of hospitality! And it would give Ana a bit of a break from him.

Friends, I have to apologize for leaving you all with no re-capper for this show on Tuesdays. As many of you know my sister has lupus and because of this she has had issues with her kidneys. Last week she was feeling unwell because she had ulcers in her mouth, we went to the ER only to find that her blood count was so low that she needed a transfusion and that she is having kidney failure, we are now waiting for the doctors to tell us what steps they plan on taking next, I love this little community and I'm so sorry that at this point I can't keep my commitment to you :/

Eli, no worries, we will manage here. you take care of your sister and yourself and we will be praying for all of you from our patio.

Eli, don't worry. Take care of your sister and yourself. We'll be thinking of you.

A really interesting fact and which some of you guys asked about in a previous blog:

The two spiraling skyscrapers that are shown on the still shoots are known as:

* the Torres Bicentenario

A design contest was convoked to select the winning architect (firm) and building design. More than 100 groups (both Mexican and international) submitted designs.

The winning design of two spiraling towers (or spires) commemorates Mexico's two-hundred year anniversary of independence. Each tower or spire represents one hundred years of independence, for a total of the two hundred years of Mexico's independence.

The towers are really spires of steel frame, covered by panes of glass, topping the first floor of an art museum. Not one structural elements (i.e., steel pieces) of the towers is straight.

The design was ingenious from a civil engineering and construction standpoint, as each tower has a tendency to lean one way or the other due to the “twisted” or spiral design. The project was constructed and completed in one year approximately (2010).

The overall site and building layout is really awesome and very impressionable. An aerial view from above illustrates that the total site layout carries out the “spiral” design theme, somewhat like a conch shell.

Google: Torres Bicentenario, Toluca Estado De México for more information.

I was a civil engineer so this kind of stuff is really interesting to me. Sorry for TMI. I only commented about this because we will see these skyscrapers for 180+ episodes.

Eli - I send my prayers and best wishes to your sister.

Thank you, All, for the group recap!

I agree with all of the following sentiments:
1. Luz lights up the screen every night. (pun intended)
2. SN acts very well.
3. I hope Diego does not get his heart broken.
4. Yo-mama-naca Bruja will be the MIL and step-grandmother from heck.
5. Isabruja's got Alicia under her spell, and this fact does not bode well for Ana.
6. Bruno's concern for Ana touches my heart.
7. Leon, the cowardly lion, knowingly deceived Fanny, and he must face the consequences.

And I add my own thought: isn't anyone concerned enough about Johnny's long absence to report it to the authorities?

Eli: Please don't worry. Take care of your sister and yourself. You're in our thoughts.

Victoria: Thanks for the info on the towers.Very interesting.

Eli, no need to apologize. I hope your sister will get the care she needs to feel better. She's lucky to have you!

Victoria, thanks for the info on the towers. I'm a structural engineer, so I am very interested! That building is so distinct. I love the scenery shots they include in this show.

Thanks, Victoria, for the info on the buildings. i was wondering if it was a 'design facade' or a real building... so now we all know.

Meanwhile, back on Mt Olympus:

“Hera, why did you let him go through with it?”

“Because he needs to learn a lesson.”

“Didn't I warn you how bad this will be for the children?”

“Ana will be there to protect them. And the two oldest will help her.”

“But Alicia is so vulnerable. I'm afraid for her.”

“I understand, but sometimes we need to take risks.”

“Not with a child's life!”

“The child most at risk hasn't been born yet.”

“By the Fates, this is true. The only importance that child has is that Fernando married Isabela because of it.”

“And we still do not know if it is Fernando's child, Aphrodite. Neither of us can take action until we do.”

“And that cannot happen for months,” Aphrodite said. “No time for us but an eternity for him, his children, and Ana.”

“Mortals have an adage: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Ana is a survivor.”

“She has proven so, but she will still need a little help. Or at least a distraction.”

“Do you refer to Diego?”

“Yes. He is more than adequate. And if he does well I will reward him.”

“Of course. I can't wait to see how.”

Julia, what a coincidence! I was a structural engineer before switching engineering fields to geotechnical/foundation engineering. I ran a structural firm for about seven years, but hated every minute. As a structural engineer, you should Google "Torres Bicentenario". The buildings and everything about them are just absolutely awesome. They stuck in my mind since PQEAM.

I miss work, but love "Caray, Caray" which keeps my mind alive!

Thanks to all for the comments and highlights. And UA, your last night's recap and the comment above are spectacular! You really are a gifted writer with an awesome imagination.

To Eli: you have not let us down and I add my best wishes for you and your sister.

The only things to add: I believe Leon's hijo is "Mauricio" as I've herad he and Tam call him Mau a couple of times. It is also the name he used last night for his fake friend.

Daiseynjay: I'm still thinking the mayor bruja could be Ana's mama and now she is after Ana's room. She will soon see the guitar and then we'll know and if I am wrong, like I usually am, I will forget about it.

As someone else noted in the avances, Fer can't perform 'cause he sees Ana, and Isabitch is not too happy.....

UA: I meant your recap from Monday night....

Oh, how I'd love for Isa to develop a case of hyperemesis gravidarum enduring for the remainder of her pregnancy. She can camp out in the bathroom for seven months where we don't have to see or hear from her.

The actor Lisardo is in the maze in the opening credits. Will he be another Ana suitor, or is he Isa's former galan, or something, that will throw in an amusing monkey wrench....

I wish the writers would totally surprise us by somehow, at the end, having Isabela become a genuinely nice and deserving wife/mother/stepmother worthy of Fernando's love and children. And change Ana's love for him into a great, platonic sisterly love that will include his wife, then her true love and soul mate turns out to be Diego and they marry and go off on numerous exciting adventures during which they find her mother and when they return she is pregnant with twins!

Eli, my thoughts and prayers and every positive vibe I can muster are coming to your sister, you and your family. We so appreciate all you do for us, and hopefully our collective wishes will give you more support.

Ecuador: Johny? Good point. Sort of supports my comment yesterday that he isn't needed for plot purposes. I guess the characters agree.

UA, any chance you talking the goddesses later, tell them just because Ana is a survivor, it's still not fair to jack her around especially if it's for OTHERS to learn lesson. the phrase "that is so not fair!" comes to mind. Thank you.

Daisynjay

Eli: Sending good wishes to your family!

Julia: I'm betting on the kids making Yomama's life miserable.

180 episodes?!? UA, if you have any sway with the goddesses, please ask them to resolve this tn in a more timely manner than Poseiden, Zeus, and Athena resolved Odysseus' journey. The latter Olympians toyed with Odysseus for ten years before allowing him his 'happily ever after!'

UA, awesome list to supplement your recap.
Daisynjay, i am with you, Ana would be a victim here of the lessons that others need to learn... poor thing has not had a break since her mother left her at the orphanage...

Loriloo: good catch about the baby’s name.

I’m surprised that Yola wants Ana’s room. I was afraid that might be the case until I saw the room that Bruno showed her. It looked a lot bigger than Ana’s.

UA: here’s hoping we will continue to receive comments of the Goddesses’ on this tale (with more benevolent interference than has been shown thus far).

I assume Yolo only wants Ana's room because she hasn't seen it and only assumes it must be better. In actuality, it's pretty bare-bones, not to mention Pepto-pink. The room Bruno showed her was definitely bigger. Ana's room doesn't even have its own little foyer/hallway to its bathroom! I guess the kids' rooms don't, either, but it seems like the fancy adult bedrooms in telenovela mansions almost always do.

And apparently the mansion isn't quite as big as we were led to believe before. Bruno said there were two bedrooms left available. So:
Fer
Nic
Diego
Fanny
Nando
Alicia & Luz
Sebas, Guille, and Alex
Ana
Bruno
Manuela
two more rooms, of which Yomama will take one

equals 12 bedrooms, not counting any of the other staff who may or may not live in the house.

I'll do my best, but the gods will do as they please.

To Anon at 4:26: No way will that happen. Isabela may not end up as evil as Veronica in PEAM, but she doesn't deserve Fernando or his kids. She has a secret we don't know just yet and that will be her downfall.

As long as we're throwing out wishees to the gods, can we have Ana distinguish between Guille and Alex? I think it would highlight her connection to the kids if could distinguish between them and called them by their names instead of calling them jointly "par de dos". And then maybe she could get them to start shaking up the wardrobe and maybe not wear exactly matching outfits all the time. Hey, kids! You could each get dressed separately and not coordinate your outfits EVERY FREAKING DAY.

Not to mention, how are we ever going to get a subplot with Guille and Alex switching places for Purposes of Mischief if no one bothers to differentiate them in the first place?

Jarifa and Marta,

Thanks for jumping in to provide us with the critical details of last night's episode. You guys are great.

Eli,

I'm so sorry about your sister's serious health problems. You and she will be in my prayers.

Well, I'm very disappointed that we weren't invited to the reception. I was looking forward to some yummy food, but even more so, I was anticipating some entertaining antics from Yolanda and the kidlets.

Tonight I'm hoping that León finally has to answer to Fanny for his lies and deception. I can't believe that some here are quick to condemn poor Tamara without even fully hearing her out. She must have had something going for her since León found her interesting enough to marry and make a baby with (though not necessarily in that order)... but then again the bar is set pretty low for that sort of thing in this TN.

I'm looking forward to how Yolando gets along with the help... especially Manuela. Did ya'll notice the amount of stuff she brought with her as she moved in?

Carlos

Carlos: I was thinking that Leon's marriage to Tamara might be a mirror of Fer's to Isa. Also, sounds as if Tamara is pretty dependent. It's possible her mother was a bully. She was angry when Leon told her about his girlfriend. She just might go to the dark side. Time will tell.

I'm wondering how long it will take Ana to charm Yola.

Nanette,

Right now it doesn't look as though Tamara has the energy for a trip to the darkside.

Carlos

Eli, you are doing the right thing by caring for your Sister. She needs you now more than ever. God bless you both.
