Mi Corazón es Tuyo Lunes 10/20/14 #66

Capitulo 66: Who Let the Dogs Out?

Lascuráin Mansion: Fernando took Isabully aside and told her that there will be grave consequences for what she and her mother did to Ana. He didn't give her a chance to say anything in the way of denial and made it clear that he will not have his father's wedding day spoiled. He then called the chauffeur to get started. He assured his father that all was well before he went into the car. Zerobela then pretended to faint and told her mother that Fernando threatened her. Alicia was incredulous.

Enrique's Apartment: The creep was singing along with his stereo to “O Solo Mio” as he threw darts at a dartboard with photos of Fanny.
“Nobody rejects me, Fanny, least of all you,” he said as he landed a dart in the middle of her forehead on the largest photo.

Apollo was watching him and didn't like what he saw. The Muses were with him.

What do you think, Erato? Do you think Enrique wanted to become an opera singer and his parents stopped him?”

Maybe. I wasn't paying attention at the time. However, I think he forfeited any favors he might ask of us when he put that dart through the photo of Fanny.”

Definitely,” said Thalia. “The only delight for him is the suffering of others. Look at that poster. On his bedroom wall, no less!”

Definitely. He's a perv,” said Euterpe. “Hissabela is his perfect match.”

Finally Enrique picked up his wedding invitation, kissed it, and almost danced out the door.

Why in Hades was he invited?” asked Apollo.

Who knows? But maybe someone will get lucky enough to hear him say the wrong thing to somebody.” said Clio.

Ximena's House: Nando took off his glasses and blinked a few times. He had trouble seeing anything and Fanny assured him he would get used to it and he was very handsome [Goddesses nod in agreement and give her the High Sign]. Ximena came down the stairs in a tight seafoam sheath dress with the currently-fashionable platform heel shoes.
She looked the happiest anyone had ever seen her when she saw Nando in a grey suit, necktie, and less the Greasy Kid Stuff in his hair as well as without the glasses.
Nando smiled back and kissed her, but her heels made it necessary for him to stand on his toes.
Smart young man that he is he moved to the bottom step which gave him the movie trick advantage and he kissed her. “Those heels!” said Fanny, although she was not laughing at her brother.

Smart young man!” said Zeus. “He's read about all those short movie actors.”

Yes, but maybe Ximena needs to give up those shoes,” said Aphrodite. “I'd like to see her give them to Fanny so she can kick Zerobela clear across Mexico for what she's doing to the family.”

Jennifer & Ana's House: The vintage car and driver waited outside while Jennifer told her that she had invited Edna to escort him to the wedding. He was being his usual Drama Queen self about it, complaining that all the ladies just want to be his friend and nothing else. He slumped back into the chair. Jennifer told him to cut the histrionics which she didn't need on her wedding day and Ana gave him a stern look.
Finally the ladies went out and into the car, which was decorated with a bouquet of roses on the hood (?) and fuchsia bows on the sides. Johnny's cell phone rang and Edna was calling.
She was dressed and ready. He told her he wasn't up to it and she told him “Come on; do it for them!” Finally she got him to agree to go and she said she'd meet him.

We could have underestimated Edna,” said Hermes. “Maybe she's not so dumb after all?”

She seems smart about people,” said Athena. “Why do you think she only wants to be his friend?”

Lascuráin Mansion: Isabruja was still griping, saying she didn't feel like going. Yolanda told her to cut the broken record because this situation was her own fault. She should think with her head and cut the hysteria and neurotic behavior. Alicia came in and noticed that Hissabela wasn't dressed to go. Yolanda left the room, leaving Alicia to persuade her wicked stepmother to change. She tried to get Hissababy to talk but all the evil one would say was that “Everyone hates me” and that Fernando “is upset about a little misunderstanding.”

Yolanda came back in with the dress, saying she'd better get dressed or else. Finally, she obeyed.

While the bride's vehicle drove on with Jenny and Ana in a good mood, Hissabruja picked up the Barbie Voodoo doll and started putting her curse on Ana, referring her as “that stupid servant.”

Yolanda might actually have realized that her daughter was becoming unhinged as she watched her seize the doll's head and pull it of while wishing something “awful and tragic” to befall Ana.

She's definitely gone over the edge,” said Athena. “We may need to include a manicomio in her future.”

I'm with you on that,” said Hermes.

The car blew a tire and began to swerve. The driver identified the problem and gained control of the car as the two ladies worried.

Hacienda in Malinalco: Fernando was assuring his father that all would be well; Nick was afraid that Jennifer would change her mind.

Luz and the twins ran off to look for ghosts while Sebastián stayed behind with his elders.
Bruno and Manuela walked in behind them; all appeared well with them.

Road: The driver didn't have a spare tire and Jennifer began to panic; the wedding was in one hour! The driver apologized and said something about waiting for another car to come alone to help [?] Ana handed Jenny her cell phone and she speed-dialed Nick from the contact list. However, there was no reception and she got that message. Ana took the phone back and started walking around to see if she could find a signal. A nearby white burro brayed, startling her, and she dropped the cell phone into a dirty puddle.

She reached in carefully and got out the soaked phone as Jenny started walking away from the car. She followed her.

Hermes, you're getting lazy,” said Athena. “There shouldn't be any dead areas in Mexico anymore. Nobody should be having problems with those cell phones.”

I know, I know,” he said. “But all providers aren't the same. Maybe I should punish the bad ones with decreased profits. I can do that, you know.” He smiled impishly.

Hacienda: Nick was panicking again, Fernando tried to assure him everything was alright, and the chorus girls from Chicago arrived. Diego told them that Fernando didn't know that Ana worked there and they were not to say anything. They agreed and went off to take their seats. Ximena distracted Nando from looking at the five chorus girls while Nick kept trying to reach Jenny.

Margarita supervised the preparation of the wedding feast.

Look at that feast! Some mortals have such talent with it,” said Zeus.

I'm sure Dionysus is already crashing the party,” said Hera. “He always does.”

Why don't we, Hera? I want to do something for that lady and her son. They need a break.”

I agree. She has suffered much and her son is atoning for his sins of omission. I want to keep an eye on that girl called Reina, too. I think her name has gone to her head.”

Road: As they walked at the side of the road Ana was trying to get the very worried Jenny to think positive. A white car drove by without stopping. Ana expressed her frustration and they kept walking. And guess whose car was next?

Hissabela drove her black car with Yomama riding shotgun and Alicia, asleep in the back seat. Yomama noticed that there were two women walking on the road ahead of them, Hissabela was shocked.

They got close enough to notice that one wore a wedding dress and then Jenny turned around at the sound of the approaching car. Yomama immediately recognized them. Hissabela was delighted at whatever caused this to happen.

Ana recognized the car and they asked each other whether that was the tarantula. They waved the car down anyway and Hissabruja stopped.
Just long enough to hear that Nick was worried and to laugh as she pulled away.

Don't you punish those who don't help travelers when they obviously can?” asked Hera.

Indeed I do. However, I can't do that right now because that evil woman is pregnant. No matter who the father is the babe is innocent. At least until it's taught to do evil.”

Jennifer & Ana's House (at least an hour after we had left Johnny there alone): Edna arrived. Johnny had at least changed into something appropriate and was waiting by the car. His eyes almost fell out at her dress. They were on their way.

Road: Ana and Jenny stopped and sat down on the grass to rest their feet a few minutes. Jenny had truly become obsessed with the possibility that she wouldn't be getting married. Ana – whose patience appeared endless – didn't stop trying to get her to think more positively.

Two guys in a large white truck were driving along. Their conversation didn't yield their names but hinted that they were carrying stolen goods they were planning to sell for a good amount of dinero.

At the sound of the truck the ladies flagged them down. The two guys disagreed at first about stopping to pick them up but the Fat Guy finally decided they would. His manner indicated that he did was not going to do so out of any sense of goodness.

They stopped, Ana started thanking God, and the Thin Guy tried to grab her. She shoved him back against the truck and he quickly apologized.

The Fat Guy was getting nervous and he indicated non-verbally to him that all was OK.

He got out and the Thin Guy helped the two ladies into the back of the truck. They closed and locked the doors, congratulated each other, and headed back into the cab section.

I don't like this at all,” said Hera. “These two look like bumbling fools, but their intentions are evil.”

A fool and his booty are soon parted,” said Zeus. “No te preocupes.”

Hacienda: The magistrate was becoming impatient because he had another appointment he needed to be later. Nick was getting more nervous as he related this to Fernando.

Hissabela arrived with her minions.

She has some damned nerve making Alicia carry that parasol as though she were her servant,” said Athena. “I'll have to see to educating her quite forcefully.”

Hissabela asked what was happening and when Nando told her that neither the bride nor Ana had arrived she pretended to be shocked. At hearing that Nick was unsuccessful in reaching Ana's cell Yomama continued the charade.

As they went to assume their seats Johnny and Edna arrived. He had her do a turn so the other men would envy him.

Road: Jenny was sitting in the cargo area of the truck while Ana stood near the doors. She was trying to stay positive, which lasted until she heard the approaching police siren.

She pushed aside the blue tarp and saw the boxes of stolen electronics. Finally the truck stopped and the doors opened.

Ana and Jenny then faced two uniformed cops with pistols aimed at them. They ordered them to come down, but Ana asked for help because of the bridal gown. [Zeus filled their chalices with nectar; Hera toasted his quick solution.]

One helped them down while the other remained in position. A third cop had nabbed the thieves.
The two were too afraid to do anything but fess up to having stolen the cargo.
The cop who had helped the ladies down then announced that all four were under arrest. Ana began protesting and Jenny almost began crying.

Hacienda: Nick was sure that Jenny had changed her mind. Diego and Fernando tried to get him to calm down. Johnny approached and told them he hadn't seen them since they left and didn't see them on the road.
Diego suggested calling the police to report a possible accident and Fernando took out his cell phone. He tried calling Ana but apparently had trouble getting a signal.

As Fernando started walking around to find a signal, Johnny and Enrique met.

I don't like this,” Hermes said. “This predator knows a dupe when he sees one.”

Road: Ana tried convincing the cops that they were innocent, pointing out that Jenny was wearing a bridal gown and they were on the way to her wedding. She is a nanny and sometime dancer and Jenny a waitress.

She described the accident and what happened afterward. Finally she said that she had no intention of obstructing justice; they could bring them to the wedding and then to the police station later. The Fat Guy clapped like a child.
The lead cop said no.

Hacienda: Fanny and León talked about their misunderstandings. He told her that Enrique had threatened him.

Road: The lead cop spoke to his superiors on his cell (The department must have a better provider) while one of the others ordered the ladies to enter the squad car.

Hacienda: Fanny asked why León hadn't said anything about this. His answer was that he was too insecure and she was his queen. She didn't like this class distinction so he went through a list of lesser titles until she started to laugh.

Aphrodite was watching. “León, it would help if you had dressed a little better for this occasion.” She shook her head. “But you're young. You will learn.”

Road: One of the cops cuffed the ladies as Jenny became sure that Nick would never forgive her. The lead cop came back asking for Ana Leal, who identified herself.

He handed her his cell phone and she heard Fernando's voice. Just before another patrol car came through with its siren blaring and the signal was lost. The siren apparently sounded like it could be an ambulance, which was worrisome to Nick. Fernando kept his cool and started walking around to see if he could regain the signal.

Ana handed the cell back to the cop, who acknowledged that the reception in that area was bad. Nonetheless the other cop cuffed Ana and Jenny got into the back seat.

Hacienda: León apologized to Fanny, who would not let him kneel in front of her. He elaborated on the apology and just as they were about to kiss Reina showed up and scowled.

Fernando kept trying to get a signal and the magistrate came over to remind Nick that he had other appointments that day and they would have to cancel the ceremony. Nick began to panic and Diego tried to calm him down.

The police car then came through the gate. The cop who cuffed the ladies explained that he knew they were innocent but needed to make a show of authority in front of the two criminals.

Jenny was so excited she ran toward the party in the cuffs while the cop released Ana. She thanked him with a kiss on the cheek before running after her. The two cops ran after them because Jenny needed to be released.

They caught up just as Jenny stopped in front of Diego and asked whether the wedding had been canceled.

Fanny and León continued to talk. He told her he intended to win her love again. Reina deliberately interrupted the attempt at a kiss by telling León he was needed elsewhere. She tried to play Tough Playground Chick as León walked away but Fanny didn't let her get away with that.

She let her know without getting nasty that she had her number.

Fanny, you are a young woman of true class,” said Aphrodite. “I will work on making life very unpleasant for Enrique.”

As Fanny returned to the ceremonial area Fernando was addressing the guests to tell them the ceremony was canceled because the magistrate had to leave and there was a problem.

However the magistrate returned telling him he was still here and the wedding would take place. Ana came in behind him and Dissabela cursed once again. Ana assured Nick all was well, just that because of things that happened on the road Jenny needs to refresh herself. She enlisted one of the chorus girls to help and they exited together. Dissabela couldn't stop harping on how “naca” this all was.

Luz certainly didn't agree as she ran up to her dad and abuelo. She and the twins spread the flower petals on the aisle as Johnny escorted Jenny to the desk and told Nick to take good care of her. All the guests applauded enthusiastically except for Dissabela and Yomama, who faked it.

The couple took their vows. Ana became a little too vocal in her enthusiasm, calling Jenny “Hermana.”

Dissabela dissed her again, this time with Yolanda looking like she agreed, but that she was getting tired of this.

I'm really getting tired of her constant hateful comments,” said Persephone. “Could we arrange a case of traumatic mutism for her?”

I will take that under advisement,” said Hermes. “She certainly never has anything constructive to say.”

"I heard they're remaking The Beverley Hillbillies in the Estados Unidos," said Thalia.  "How about we dump her into the middle of it?"

Zeus and Apollo laughed.

"I like the way you think!" Apollo said as he raised his chalice in a toast.

Ana stood up during her applause and caught Fernando looking at her. She was a little embarrassed at this and backed off, but then he smiled.

As the chorus girls went up to hug and congratulate Jenny everyone began getting up for the party. Diego suggested to Ana they announce their engagement but she quickly sidetracked.

Lots of salsa music and great food awaited the guests as little Mauricio helped his abuela and her crew.
Enrique and Gustavo both eyed Edna as she strutted her stuff through the party area. Johnny felt like Hugh Hefner and Hissabela wondered where Ana and Fernando were.
Yomama told her they were probably talking about what had happened on the road earlier. They started to argue, but Yolanda was not in the mood for it.

In another area Ana and Fernando were talking to Nando and Ximena and their relationship. They were concerned.
Ximena told them she loved Nando and never felt this for anyone else. She intended to do what was right. She was willing to leave him alone, but Ana told her she should just take her meds and see her shrink.
Finally she hugged Nando and Ana exchanged looks with Fernando.

They went back to the party and everyone drank to the couple. Ana walked up to the stage and took the mike to make her speech.

Dissabela couldn't stop telling herself that this was the most stupid thing she had ever seen and that this was her idea of Hell.

She wished Jenny every happiness in a very personal way, which Nick thanked her for. Fernando arrived and asked why Ana said that Jenny was her sister.

Ana, did you have too much to drink?” wondered Aphrodite. “You may have created a problem we can't help you with.”

Wow! Urban, you really out did yourself with this recap! It was simply fantastic. Thanks!

What a caper! I thought Ana and Jennifer would never get there.

My favorite line was Bruno calling himself "Bruno Romero el besador" "the kisser" and then telling Manuela "besáme" "kiss me".

At least Nico and Jennifer got married and we did not have to wait.

The episode was great fun!

Gracias, Jarifa. I like that they're maintaining a good pace with this series even if so many things defy logic.

-- The driver doesn't have a cell phone or another means of communicating with his company
-- Leon isn't better-dressed when his mother is the boss at the feast
-- Nobody is telling Fernando about Enfrique's perv behavior

And -- of course -- Jen didn't tell Nick about who didn't let them into her car. That can't be a secret forever any more than anything else.

What was in the avances, everyone?

Thanks for a super recap. Lots of shenanigans getting the bride to the church on time.

The little kids were cute tossing the flower petals.

Johnny wasn't going to the wedding, but he ends up escorting the bride to the altar? Que que what?

BTW I found the poem that Fernando recited in a recent episode:

http://www.horizonte.unam.mx/cuadernos/sabVI.html

And in English, second poem down

Enjoy!

Urban, loved your juicy recap! It was overflowing with images, snark, the whole works--thank you!

Isa is spiteful but she isn't stupid, and I can see her passing up Ana along the side of the road...but not her (Isa's) future mother in law. That just makes no sense. Too bad Alicia didn't wake up in time to witness.

I'm glad Fanny and Leon are back on track. Nando and Xime...not so much. Still think she is trouble.

Thought Jenny's outfit was a bit much, but maybe it was typical wedding gear. Anyway, that wedding food sure looked good!

Thank you, Urban, for the amazing recap! And many thanks to the Olympians for their daily commentary!

Manuela certainly seems less hypersexual lately. It's a nice change.

Enfrique-the-warlock and Isabruja, with their dartboard-and-doll voodoo, look ridiculous. Really?!? Harvard MBAs rely on/resort to witchcraft? I recommend they return to Boston; they seem to have left their brains there.

Everyone needs to stop lying to Fernan-duh, especially Ana. Mass deception, however well-intentioned, does not contribute to an emotionally healthy family. I consider everyone's 'white lies' a manifestation of this family's dysfunction. "Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practise to deceive!" ` Sir Walter Scott

Finally, thank you, Salvador, for the links!

Have a great day on the patio, All!

This was awesome, Urban.
I haven't watched the episode, yet, but now I feel like I don't even have to.
Thank God they got married. I was afraid they would drag this on for a while.
Nando is really worrying me. Ximena looks like a crazy person.

The avances show Fernando arguing with a crying Isabela and then her screaming at Luz to get out of their room when the poor kid happens to walk in. Fernando is not happy with that.

Jarifa

Urban, this was fantastic. Your amazing screen shots told the story on their own. Most excellent.

"He was being his usual Drama Queen self" was my favorite line of many.

I was shocked that the wedding actually did take place. I loved the boho chic dress and headpiece Jen wore.

Isabel continues to dress like a Queeen (the woman looks amazing in everything she wears). Ana's dress (made worse by the jeans jacket) was inexplicable. I can't recall seeing her dressed nicely in anything other than the wedding gown she tried on!

“Fanny, you are a young woman of true class,” said Aphrodite. “I will work on making life very unpleasant for Enrique.” Ahhh, we can only hope.

Thank you UA!

Diana

I'm also a little worried about Nando, but I think his makeover (which Fanny might have influenced) will make him a little more confident. He's now the attractive young man he deserves to be.

He must have been getting used to contact lenses in this episode. He will start getting more attention from the girls.

Freaky is the character who really disturbs me at the moment. He is definitely a sociopath and in ways Hissabela doesn't yet know.

Urban,
I hope that this recap was as much for for you to do as it was for us to read. What a tour de force! I wish I knew enough mythology to appreciate the changing cast of gods and goddesses commenting on the festivities -- and lack thereof. Many, many thanks.

I agree that Nando does look quite cute now and I liked the talk that Fernando and Ana, who function so well together as parents, had with Ximena. We will see . . . .

Fanny and Leon are back together. Bruno (Rene is a good comic actor, despite going overboard now and then) and Manola look great together.
And the wedding took place. Love was definitely in the air, amidst all of the craziness.

Jenny actually looked quite pretty at the end, I thought.

I hope that Diego is not getting his hopes up too high for a life with Ana. She is so obviously still taken with Fernando. I loved the way that she redirected Fernando's gaze to the wedding couple when he looked at her with such longing.

I hope to heck that someone spills the beans to Fernando about Isabully (love that name) passing Jenny and Ana on the road. Talk about limitless in her nastiness.

Thanks UA, so much to cover and love the gods comments.

Having a hard time with Ricky & Juan's inclusion as trusted family friends, Fernando's hypersensitivity to any incongruity by Ana (while, Isabela, Yomama & Ricky run amuck) and when will Alicia take those ear-buds out and open her eyes. Luz would be on em like a dog on a june bug.

Nic - hysterical old bitty

Isabela - heck no I didn't stop, there's gypsies, tramps & thieves on that highway

Yomama - you're driving, I'm along for the free ride

Diego - matrimony ain't a virus

Reina - but I'm taking care of your kid

Ana - loud mouth

Nando - no improvement

Fernando - good cop, bad cop, parenting

Ricky - pin the tail on the Fanny

Alicia - Clueless

tofie, your "Ricky - pin the tail on the Fanny" was too funny!

Diana

Isabruja yells at Luz in front of Fernando? That sounds like Waterloo to me since Luz seems to be his favorite. Not to mention the youngest. Let's look at her and Yolanda's worst crimes:

-- Abusive treatment of household staff
-- Attempt at framing Ana for grand theft (the necklace)
-- Destroying the twins' notebooks, which got them in trouble at school
-- Violence against Sebastian in addition to calling him names and insulting his grief at his mother's death
-- Deceiving Ana into believing that Yomama is her mother
-- Leaving Ana and Jenny on the road on the way to the hacienda (which Fernando doesn't know about yet)
-- Adultery and hypocrisy about it (which Fernando doesn't know about yet)

There are smaller items, of course, but that's mostly verbal insults and overspending. He put a limit on her credit card and is probably realizing he shouldn't have paid her pre-marital debts.

Other than Ana moving back into the house, the plastic limit and having to drive herself to the wedding, Isabela has had free reign. Fernando made a comment last week he couldn't comprehend Isabela's behavior because she looks so good on paper as a wife, I think he still suffers from that misconception. So, he kinda knows he made a bad decision but I'm afraid he will see Ana's secrets as comparably deceptive, pitch her out and keep Isabela who is pretty and is wife material for a man of his standing. Dude picked up Ana's reference to Jenny as her sister immediately and confronted her about it but how many things has Isabela done right under his nose.

Thank you for the amazing recap!

How stupid is Isa? She is in trouble with Fer and could of picked up a few points if she had rescued Ana and Jen.

Alicia not waking up with Ana screaming at the car doesn't make sense.

I love SN but I think she needs to take it down a notch. Her yelling and adlibbing is drawing too much focus.

great recap, UA! love your (Mt Olympus?) quotes ...
i can't see the pictures at work but will enjoy them at home tonight...
some cute quick moments i was able to catch and enjoy last night...
Jenn nagging that she was expecting a fuscia limo but got that car with the driver... (not sure if this was funny, certainly was unexpected and odd of her).

Right after Ana gets to yell 'Don Fernando!' on the cell phone to Fer, Fernando tells them the call got disconnected, Diego asks about how is Ana since they heard the siren clearly, Fernando tells him Ana sounds ok... then Nico gets worried saying 'then something happened to Jenny!' and he faints right in the arms of Diego (LOL!)

When they arrived at the wedding, Ana was walking toward the desk/Nico and made the 'i am watching you!' signal to Gustavo who looked stunned...

Johnny telling Nico as he handed her to him 'take care of her, she's pure gold!' to which Nico responded 'I know, Johny, I know'.

At the end of the ceremony Ana yelling the 'Alabio! Alabao!! A la bim bom ba!! Los esposos! ra-rah rah!! 'lets do the wave!!!''

When Reina came to break up Leon and Fanny, they were already kissing and she told him 'la jefatura[translates to police station but begins with 'jefa'] needs you' (meaning his mother (he calls his mom 'jefa'[boss]) was calling for him...liar!)

Diego suggesting to Ana once Nico and Jenn were married to use the fact that the justice was there to get married themselves and instantly Ana yells to the novios again, totally ignoring his suggestion.

The twins doing a 'war' right at the front once they got there with the petals... throwing the petals at each other... too funny.

yes, in the avances the voice over says Isa is digging herself a hole' while we get Fer telling Isa in their room 'it's useless to continue this'... and Luz walks in and without her saying a word Isa yells at her 'Get out of here Nina!!!(voice over adds 'deeper and deeper by the moment) Don't you see I am talking to your dad??!!' to which Luz got scared and Fer got instantly outraged and yelled at her 'Isabella!!!'

I wonder if YoMama and Isa will use the fact that Alicia was sleeping and did not see/hear anything to say that Ana and Jenny are making up the story that Isa/YoMama left them on the road... unless Fernando and Nico realize there is only one road leading to the hacienda.

oh one more thing i saw/heard...
when Jenn comes in running to Diego asking for Nico and asks if they cancelled the wedding, Diego tells her "you are already 'esposada!'" (this is a word play 'esposa' means wife, 'esposada' means cuffed, which jenny was still. she had ran before the cop got to take the cuffs off her.)

Marta, I was thinking exactly that. Alicia was asleep so she didn't see or hear anything and Isabruja will use that to her own advantage (which is why I included that photo). She has already brainwashed Alicia who is going to feel like an incredible fool when the truth comes out.

No matter how Hissabela looks on paper as a wife Fernando has to face facts. His decision was hasty, she hates his children, she will hate the baby if it survives pregnancy, she will be a horrible mother, and he loves Ana. So do his children.

And the baby might not be his after all.

well, he doesn't know about the baby not being his as a possibility... i wonder how the rumor will start... will Nico, Diego, Betty or Ana hear something from Hissa or YoMama? will Alicia hear it herself? (that would be great!)

Fernando is so drowned in the consequences of his hasty decision he has not been able to open his eyes to fairly obvious possibilities... (maybe when Diego makes any discovery about Hissa and Reeky he might even keep quiet... or not)

I'm more mad at Fernando than I am at Isabela despite the sad longing looks and reciting of poetry. He pulled the trigger really quick to put a ring on her finger but despite increasingly overwhelming evidence he barks but won't bite Isabela. Fanny told him point blank he needed to do something but he just kicks it down the road. With Ana he is immediately accusatory and threatens firing her. Obviously the difference between wife material (you don't threaten with firing) and the uneducated hired help you deep down respect less.

Thanks, UA! Really awesome recap and photos!

Does anyone know why disGustavo was at the wedding? Surely Alicia wouldn't have been allowed to invite him after the shenanigans at her quince. And I refuse to believe that he and Sebas are really so tight. Who wanted him there?

Also, why in the heck did Encreepy get invited, and why has no one other than Fanny and Leon noticed how he slithers in where he doesn't belong? When Fer was on the phone trying to reach Ana and Jen, Reeky was right there with Nico and Diego trying to find out what was going on. Didn't it occur to any of them that this is odd behavior for someone they've only known a short time, who is a coworker of Fer's, not a family member?

I wish Fanny would tell Fer what Enreeky did to her. He needs to know what a creep this guy is. Especially if she can't escape Enfrique by not working for him anymore, since he's joining the family for every occasion. You'd think she'd want to be rid of him and not see him everywhere anymore!

I didn't care for Nando's makeover. His hair was too 80s preppie, and the contacts were just making him look squinty and uncomfortable. And I'd still rather he dated Briana!

I hope Jen and Ana are only trying to avoid more drama at the wedding and they will spill about Isabully ditching them on the road as soon as it's over. And then I want every Lascurain to tell Isa that all the nacas and nacos have more class than she has, by far. Even Johnny.

Lousy day, but a Fun lunch thanks to your great recap UA. Mt. Olympus was rockin' on the comments today.

I was so-so on the wedding...the antics leading up to the ceremony I guess I could have done without. Maybe a little something, but having Isa pass them up. Like Jen wouldn't tell Nico? But I wanted at the buffet so bad....

I had to pick pieces of my brain off the walls thought after it imploded seeing Eeky invited to the wedding...just NO!!! The whole stupid company should have been there then. Talk about plot point.

But happy the wedding actually went off, Johny behaved and even got to strut his arm candy ( though I think there is more to that young woman than meets the eye), and the kids were adorable.

I do agree...I love SN with all my heart, but the yelling at the wedding, oy, that was just so wrong. I know that's supposed to be her character, but it made me annoyed and I love the character. Tone it done my dear.

I am happy Leon and Fanny are moving on, and I still predict he will be the one to smack down Eeky---or at least I hope someone does. He needs to have Ximena give him the name of her doctor. The guys is certifiable.

Previews should be interesting. Of all kids she shouldn't yell at, it's Luz. Fer is ultra protective of her, so that should just nail it for him I hope. Wonder if she will pull the "I'm upset and now sick about to lose the baby routine". We've seen it in how many TN's??

Daisynjay

If a doctor tells the family that they all have to pamper Isa and not upset her or she'll lose the baby, the Nerfazos will FLY at my house.

And if it does happen, I would love for someone like Fanny to point out that all of Isa's upset comes from her nastiness within, and there's nothing they can do about it.

Urban ,
What a great recap

you know it will happen, Julia... It is about the only card Isa has left to play... and it is a good one per TN policy...
however, I want Fer to take some privileges off her right away... and have others spy on her outings..

not only why was Reeky at the wedding and nosing in on the phone cons of Fer/Nico with Ana... but why was he sitting right beside Betty at the wedding??

btw, i remember one more thing i noticed... when Ana and Jenny were getting out of the cop car, Jenny was so mad at the poor cops that she smacked the poor guy with her gigantic purse on her way out of the car and then ran (that is why he could not take her cuffs off, he was bending over in pain) LOL!

Tofie - ITA with your statement: "Obviously the difference between wife material (you don't threaten with firing) and the uneducated hired help you deep down respect less." I have little respect for Fernan-duh and his "worthiness" of Ana's love, . . .

. . . which bring me to Diego. After everything he has done for Ana, he deserves her love, . . .

. . . which brings me to Ana. I really hope she stops yelling, drops her infatuation with Fer, and directs her heart toward Diego!

Maybe we'll have a big twist, and once Ana can have Fer, she'll realize he isn't as great as she's made him out to be in her mind, the infatuation will evaporate, and having let go of that, she will fall in love with Diego.

I loved when Ana was teasing the cops about dancing and saying if they would, they were hired. Like they were strippers merely posing as cops. Well, Jen didn't get a bachelorette party, did she?

Are any of you watching Jane the Virgin? I LOVE it. It would be more fun if I could chat about it on the Caray Caray patio, though!

Any of you who are Jaime Camil fans should watch last night's episode at least for the bits with the leopard.

It seems as if production couldn't spring the money for additional extras so the only people at the party were cast members whether or not they were friends of the bride and groom.

And please make Johnny go away! Enough of his winning, crying, loser self already. That he actually voiced out loud that he didn't want to go to Jennys wedding, spoke volumes about his ego.

Thanks UA, another great job recapping.

Things I don't get:
1.Why was Gustavo at the wedding?
2.Why was Enrique at the wedding?
3.Why didn't someone drive back toward Ana's house to see where they were?
4.Why did Jonny walk Jen down the aisle when he said he wasn't going to the wedding?
5.Why was the burro tied up in the middle of the field?
6.Why did Nando leave his glasses behind? Ximena never had a problem with them.
7.What does Isa think will happen when Fernando finds out she didn't give Ana and Jen a ride, and acted like she had no idea about what happened to them?
8.Why did the cop handcuff the ladies when he was taking them to the wedding?
And finally,
9.Why did Fernando question Ana calling Jen Hermana? She's called her that before, and it's an affectionate way to call a best friend that, it shouldn't wave a red flag, and if it does, can't Ana just say that they are now BFFs?

When Johnny was whining about how no one wanted to date him, I wished Ana and Jen would point out to him that HE is the reason for that. He needs to go spend some months pondering his flaws and how he could change if he wants to be more appealing. Offscreen. Hint, Johnny: treating Edna as a prop does not make you more appealing to her or to anyone else.

Another question: why did Fanny tell Margarita to do food for 200 people when there were only about fifty there, at the most? Did she just want to let her up the price and make more money? Are we supposed to pretend there are a lot of people there? Also, I would think extras would be cheaper than regular actors, but maybe the regulars have it in their contracts that they get a certain number of scenes/paid workshifts so they use them even where it doesn't make much sense.

Julia, I did catch some of JtV last night... i watched the bits where Jaime was on, but the storyline did not impress me that much even when the new 'dad' is good eye candy... Jaime was a bit over the top comical with the leopard stunt on tv... and his screaming that it was not part of the contract annoyed me. Is the show on every night? I might give watch at least one more ep next.

It's a weekly show. Monday nights. I think the voiceover guy/onscreen text is my favorite part. He's snarky. It's very funny. Jaime's character has started off a bit silly but I think they've hinted that he will develop into more. I love all the shenanigans at the hotel.

Cathyx, I had some of the same questions. The ones I can answer:

4. Johnny was probably expected to do this before Jenny knew how he felt about her.
6. Nando is probably trying to get used to contacts.
7. Isabruja is still delusional. Alicia was asleep and she would just tell Fernando that La Nanaca made it all up.
8. The cuffing of the ladies was all for show in front of the real criminals.
9. Ana's overenthusiasm prompted the question.

Julia, good question about the food. Maybe there are a number of workers on the hacienda who benefitted from that.

To elaborate on #7, remember how delusional Isabruja has been with regard to her ability to manipulate Fernando by playing the victim. He still hadn't lowered the boom on her for the horrible prank on Ana. She might try to day that Ana made that up for revenge.

She refuses to believe Fernando when he says that Ana would never do anything like that.

The worst is yet to come because he still doesn't know that Ana dances at Chicago. No matter who tells him about that he will hit the ceiling.

You know EB, not sure worthiness of Ana's love even enters her mind until he pushes for reciprocity like last night. She was with Juan and begging that worthless chum for years to marry her and start a family. I think Ana has a clue part of the reason Fernando married Isabela without exploring his options is because Ana is not wife material in his view. Maybe that has begun to change a little but just wait till he finds out about her extracurricular activities after school. Oh, he may say he is butthurt because she lied by omission but he will actually be relieved he dodged a bullet by not marrying her. Can't even imagine his condescending attitude when this goes down.

Yes, if we were keeping score, Diego has done much more for Ana (and defended her and covered for her without question) than Fernando, but I don't think he will be rewarded with her love.

The food looked fantastic, so I hope someone ate it!

True, Fer still hasn't had it out with Isa over the fake mommy scheme. He found out while she was at the spa, and didn't have time for a big fight because they were leaving for Malinalco. So even without his knowing how she left Ana and Jen stranded, he's already loaded for bear.

Alicia is being rather useless. Take out those earbuds and pay attention, child! I wish Ana had thought to take a picture of Isa driving away with her muddy phone.

That judge was a looker. And nice enough to wait around, too! Maybe Jen can marry him when Nico moves on to the other side and she is still young.

Julia, took the words right outta my mouth about that judge. Whew he was cute.

yes, Fernando sure has not learned his lesson or followed through on 'decided to let go of Ana and his hopes to get with her'...
we saw that last night at least twice...
he exchanged stares with Ana during the wedding, when everyone was clapping and Ana was with Diego Fernando was staring at her like wondering if they woudl ever be together, making it all about himself, even when Ana was focusing on Jenn and Nico... so Ana signals to him to look at Jenn and Nico, that it was about THEM and not 'US' and this is when Fernando changed from 'yearning' stare to smiling as if saying 'yeah i get that'.

then at the end of the scene with Nando and Ximena, when XImena tells Nando she loves him so much she does not want to give him up ever... Ana stares at Fernando as if 'you see? that could have been US' and Fer staring back quite sad, like acknowledging the message (this final stare was not about worry about Nando at all, it was all about THEM (Ana/Fer)).

yes i found it odd too that the food was for '200' people and there were barely 50 including the girls from the Chicago... but if we count the band and everyone else that was at the hacienda working the event, we might get to 200.

Marta, I agree about Ana pointing out to Fernando what he did not fight for nor really consider and now has lost it but when is he going to really do anything about it? Is he going to now say he cannot because of the relationship between Ana & Diego. She has to constantly redirect his attentions (sometimes inappropriate)and remove herself from the room when it becomes uncomfortable (or hurtful) so I don't think she should do any more nor any less.

We're not even quite at the halfway mark so Fernando will have to sulk a bit longer.

Dissabela doesn't even see Ana, Jennifer, or Johnny as human beings. That is what allows her to continue doing what she does despite having been found out by Fernando multiple times already. She doesn't get that he will never think the same way.

Plot Twist- what if Alicia wasn't really asleep in the backseat and her earbuds weren't playing music at that moment? It's a little farfetched but I sort of hope this is viable.

If she heard what was going on why would she have allowed Isabruja to leave Ana and Jenny on the road?

UA, thanks for the excellent illustrated recap complete with commentary by the Greek gods.

I think that Yolanda's applause for the happy couple was genuine. She seems weary of Isabela and probably is wishing at this point that Ana really was her daughter.

Carvivlie,

I also think that Ana needs to tone it down a bit. Her whooping it up after the ceremony was unseemly and embarrassing. It almost appears at times that she is struggling to maintain her position as always the center of attention.

The censors missed an opportunity as that burro in the background took the opportunity to poop on camera.

Why were Enrique and Gus even at the wedding?

Carlos

I think that Ana was genuinely happy for Jenny but didn't think how her own behavior made her look. Someone else made a comment earlier about her dress and I agree with it: The dress was not particularly flattering and she may have deliberately not been upstaging the bride.

In contrast to Dissabela, who always has to.

Bottom line is Ana is still a little rough around the edges and while happy her friend marrying into the family it was also a reminder of the hurt felt by the Fernando rejection and she over compensated.

UA, She possibly could have been keeping quiet for the element of surprise later in taking Sour-bella down but I have a feeling I'm way off base LOL.

Fanny, maybe, but not Alicia. She's too young to understand that level of timing.
