Hasta el Fin del Mundo #90 Tuesday 12/23 What to do, what to do?
Labels: hasta
I absolutely love Chava's spirited attitude and that he has something on both Silvana and Patricio. Here is hoping that he tells Sofía before Patricio tries to do something to shut him up.
I cannot wait until and wonder how long we will have to wait until Armando finds out that Irma didn't jump but was thrown off the roof. Right now he is feeling way too guilty for my taste.
Best line of the night was undercover Cristián telling Greta to allow him to attend to her as she deserves. As usual shallow Greta was all a flutter with the masculine attention. If only he would do what he said and treat her as she deserves . . . .

"Isadora is adding another layer of spackle to her makeup", "Irais smoothes out her Maleficent coif" and of course "He doesn’t know what brought her to throw her over the edge were my favorites.
"Pato tells her to let him worry about Matias (again, oh no!)" had me wringing my hands with worry! I refuse to believe the telenovela gods would allow anything to happen to Matias!
I smile whenever Irais in on the screen - I don't know how Alexa and Matias keep a straight face.
Chava gets a clue - finally! And I am a little disappointed Matias still continues to defend Sil. Obviously she had no intention of stopping to see Pato - it was clearly a lie.
We know Chava will survive so it's not him that I'm worried about.
So everyone thinks Irma made another suicide attempt. I suspect she will be able to set the record straight sooner rather than later. I can't see Renzi keeping mum and think he will sing like a canary if caught. That said, if he is caught, I doubt Peralta will give him the opportunity to do so.
I think Paco cares for Lupe. Very much. I still think Tavares is a better match for her. I had thought Paco and Greta would be together in the end, now I'm not so sure. I think they are too toxic in view of what transpired in the past to ever "get over it".
CorazonSalvaje, what on earth is wrong with Isadora (I mean aside from the obvious??) Javier was clearly inebriated and ranting. Is she that desperate?
Thanks again Paquita. This was great.
Merry Christmas all!

"Isadora is adding another layer of spackle to her makeup"
Gawd, Salvador and that macho ego of his. Instead of disclosing what he knows in a tactful way, he wants to take it outside so he can "force" Patricio to capitulate and humiliate himself before Sofia with an admission. Sure, he'll get right to it.
Flat out don't give two toots about Dani, Oliver, Marisol & Lucas.
Paco does not deserve Lupe, hope she wakes up. Who cares if Greta cheated on him or if she ran off, married a rich guy, stole from him and hid his child, he still let the broad crush him. The man has no spine.
Alexa was working herself into a tizzy when Armando went MIA. If he thinks Irma is psycho, he better be glad Nandito doesn't have a pet rabbit.
1.) Matias: listen to Chava: You're being played by Silvana.
2.) Patrick & Silvana plotting to silence Matias: having a bad feeling he won't survive.
3.) Peralta still pulling the strings.
4.) Cristian: keep using every trick possible to destroy Greta: her comeuppance is coming!
5.) Paco & Araceli: 2 big BABIES. Get over it !
I agree that Chava should go to Sophia and tell all. There's no cowardice in this, is there? He's protecting his guerita.
Irma's another character I empathize with, to a certain degree. Aside from the BIG LIE, what else has she done? She's been supportive of Armie through all the Patotas years. Yes, she always wants more but didn't she try to work to bring in more money? she may not have been successful, but at least she tried. I understand that Armie may have been frustrated with the relationship but the way this story is coming about with him conveniently giving up just as he meets a rich young thing is just not sitting well with me. And poor Irma. Ok, so we know she didn't try to commit suicide and will most likely play that up for all it's worth. She's gonna end up in a wheelchair (not a spoiler, they show as much in the credits) but she is a victim and almost lost her life. And this happened because she was trying to help Aracely get the goods on Renzi. Cut her some slack. I know she's not as good a person as Paco but I still feel for her, to a certain degree. She doesn't deserve to "die", she just deserves to lose Armie.
Thx Paquita this awesome description about a not too awesome episode. I have loved your detailed summaries since MPV.
SyS-line have been very slow yet :-( :-(
AlejoP.
Not an Irma fan. Don't see her dying anytime soon though. Armando needs to be tortured a lot more before the end of this novela.
...and Javier? Ick, gag, puke!
Well said! I have always thought Armando was going from one crazy to the next when he met Alexa. Let's be honest, Armando would still be in a relationship with Irma if he never would have met Alexa. A lot of people play that game in real life. Let's see if something "better" comes along..... I think that is unfair. I understand Irma has lied, but everything she has done has been because she wants to hang onto Armando. It does not make it right, but I think we need to have some sympathy for her. She tried to better her life by getting a job with Renzi. She had no idea at the time that Renzi was a crook.
Thanks for the nice recap
ITA about Paco. He seems to have just been a grumpy guy for the last 30 years, but in control of his emotions. Since Coria and Greta came back into his life, everything got stirred up again. His anger, resentment, and hurt. Now he's finally going through the grieving process. Let's hope he can get past this phase soon.
I think it takes two to tango, and so if Armie chose to stay in the relationship with Irma this long, even if he wasn't happy, it was his choice. The breakup came because of her big lie (her fault) and his feelings for another woman (HIS fault). What I do blame Irma for is using Nando for emotional blackmail, and messing with her sons mind and emotions to get revenge on Armie. That was NOT cool, and puts her in bad mama territory. But nothing that warrants her dying.
Javier and Oliver's mom?? Why? What storyline will this further?
Yay, the story is starting to move again.
I’m going to love seeing Cristián play with Greta’s head. On the other hand, he just got out of rehab and what he’s doing is not healthy for his recovery.
Irma has never faced up to the fact that Armando is just not that into her and probably never was, but stayed for his love of Nandito. I get the impression that if Irma hadn't been pregnant, Armando would've moved on. He never married Irma, he says, because he didn't have enough money. That's bull. His parents left him the house and he was a working mechanic. He had enough money for marriage, he just didn’t want to take that step with Irma. I agree it’s his fault for not owning up to this sooner. Once Irma’s baby daddy lying came out, he was probably relieved he no longer had to feel guilty about not really wanting Irma.
As Lupe pointed out, Paco is slow on the action. His not suing Octavio 30 years ago but keeping his shop near Ripoll so he could sigh all those years over Greta was just stooopid. Plus, if Greta cheated on him with Octavio (we know she didn’t), Sofia has a 50% chance of being Paco’s. So why won’t he get a lock of Sofia’s hair and get a DNA test? If Greta lied to him 30 years ago, what makes him think she’s not lying now about Sofia not being his?
I do like that Paco and Lupe have a mature relationship and trust each other with the harsh truth. But I too hope Detective Fuzzy returns.
Jeri, are you still watching? Is the new Pedro growing on you any bit?
I don't know what the writers have planned getting Isadora together with Javier. Maybe she'll wake up next to him in his squalid room, gnaw her arm off and finally realize she needs to quit drinking.
Chava was stupid not to take a picture of Pato and Silvana. They will never tell Sofia anything and now Matias is in danger. I can see Silvana luring him into a trap.
Thanks for this effervescent recap. Very enjoyable and very well done. However, I thought that you were overly generous to Greta with your definition of cualquiera:
"...the girl he held in such high esteem turned out to be a cualquiera (a nobody/anybody)."
Based on a frequent use of the word I've seen in other TNs, I think that Paco may have been implying something a bit stronger and a bit more derogatory.
Thanks also for being somewhat more generous and understanding toward Irma than many others here. She was after all doing a quite noble selfless (not to mention dangerous) act when she was injured. And how sad that her friends (including Areceli, who encouraged her to do it) now all think the worst of her.
I'm looking forward to the budding relationship between Javier and Isadora... at least they share a common interest.
Carlos
Chava must've enjoyed the peep show!
