Mi corazon es tuyo #97 The cuffs are off! the cockroach is in the kitchen, one father remembers better times while another wonders about fatherhood probably for 1st time.

Diego at hosp thinks he has to get his hands working again.
Fernando, Ana and Fanny come downstairs. Leon greets them. Ana explains to Leon they are playing a game called ‘trapped by force’. Leon finds it amusing, just like Fanny did. Fanny explains the twins cuffed them. Kiss. Fanny apologizes for not answering, tells him about Edith taking her to the ‘Las Mercedes home’. Leon smiles at hearing her adventure. Another kiss. He is very proud of her.
Johnny and Edna at his place. She is using him as taste critic for her quesadillas. He is telling Edna what happened to Nico. InoDoro calls Johnny and he gets instantly nervous. InoDoro angrily asks about Ana. The fourth drawing is about the tacos, the improvised picnic, riding his motorbike, getting him wet… all the memories of their relationship. She can’t wait to see drawings 5, 6 and 7. He says lets do 5 and 6 together. He has to go to get Mau in bed… another kiss for good measure.
Ana and Fernando in kitchen… she is trying to pry the cuffs open with screwdrivers. Bruno is on phone trying to get a locksmith. Fernando is not quite getting why Ana is so anxious and nervous to get separated ASAP. Ana is now trying to use plyers but to no avail either. Johnny calls Ana and gets her even more nervous, and gets Fernando even more curious. She pulls away and hurts Fernando’s hand. Johnny tells Ana that Inodoro said if she does not show up at Chicago right now he will tell all to Fernando.
The twins and Luz catch Fanny and Leon still in the kissy kissy. Leon can tell Guille apart from Alex. Leon finally manages to leave. He gets along great with the twins and Luz.
Ana keeps moving around and dragging Fernando’s arm all over the place. Fanny and the little ones come in the kitchen. Fanny pulls Ana and Fernando close together just for kicks. Ana tries to show off her languages and Luz asks her some questions about other languages(specifically what is arabic for kiss)
Fernando keeps asking Ana why she is so in a hurry to open the cuffs. Ana keeps shouting, have to go.. where?? … have to go… where to?? … (come on, Ana … out with it and get us all out of our misery!!) Ana has to explain to Fernando she has to help Edna with a problem. Fernando wants to go with her. Fanny tries to help Ana out. He keeps asking what is going on.
Isa is visiting Freeky, she claims she has taken a few good steps lately, he asks her to give up already. She insists she will return triumphant to the Lasc mansion. Isa keeps mocking Freeky for wanting to be like Fernando. Freeky irritated argues he wants to be ‘better than him!’. Isa mocks Freeky on his plan to end Fernando’s career. And the stupid nanny, now Fernando is happy spending time with her since Diego is out of the way because of the accident. Isa wants to come up with another plan that will make Fernando and Ana suffer for good!
Ana finally manages to open the cuffs with what looks like paperclip. She is super happy cheering her joy while Fernando looks visibly disappointed. Bruno and Fanny are celebrating while the little ones are angry about it.
Yomama and Ramona are toasting and drinking margaritas together… (these two will end up great friends). YoMama tells her all of her blues about Isa and how she treats her. Ramona asks her to trust her. YoMama says Isa despises her and one day will try to get rid of her.
Ana asks Fernando why he is getting irritated. Fernando insists to go with Ana. Fanny offers to call her a taxi. Ana runs out. Luz tells the twins they have to come up with another plan to get Ana and dad together. (how about glue?) Fernando is still trying to get his side of the cuff off his hand. Bruno is helping.
Ana tells Fanny that her secret is soon going to come out. Imagine when your dad finds out… ‘cancela! Cancela!’ Fanny thinks to herself that it will be a tragedy when it happens and prays for her mom to help them.
Freeky tells Isa that Laura left the office offended, probably they won’t hear from her again. Lynda went to NYC to marry another rich guy. Isa tells Freeky that seems he will never really fall in love. Freeky in return notices the spots on her face. She finds a compact mirror and screams in horror when she sees her ‘new’ stains.
YoMama says some day she will get revenge by being the stone in the way of Isa’s plans. YoMama then wonders where InoDoro is. First he stirs her all up and then there is no word about him. Ramona laughs it off.
At Chicago InoDoro is arguing with Ana and yells at her. She explains about Diego’s accident. InoDoro says he can understand that. But he only gave her permission to skip yesterday, not today!!. Ana asks about his threat to tell all to Don Fernando. No need. She is behaving. He wants her to be a pro. Repeats the threat to her.
Fernando asks Fanny about Maricela, Fanny tells him about her, the pregnancy and all the kids in the home. Fernando is also interested. Fernando says don’t want to be selfish, care about the home kids, but also worry about his own daughter. Fanny says this experience makes her value more what she has. Fanny tells Fernando also about Lenin. Fernando gets a bit irritated about Lenin going with Fanny to the home since Fernando does not know Lenin yet.
Ana has the wrong idea about Dana getting close to InoDoro. Dana has to explain she is close to him to get info from him. And she tells Ana that InoDoro is the owner of the building where Isa has her apartment.
Johnny is training the twins on self defense. And UFC. A helicopter falls in the ‘ring’. It is a guy who is trained on UFC, apparently. The guy turns out to be their neighbor. He turns out to be a UFC guy on tv, ‘el pantera’. Sebas comes to fetch Johnny and the twins. But El pantera invites them to the next show they have in town. He even shows them some defense moves using Johnny as the contender (which Johnny is not appreciating).
Leon is with Mau at home. HE is showing Mau some more drawings he made for Fanny. Mau does not like the one about the breakup but loves the one of the make-up. Leon is going to take the drawings to Fanny at the college. She will love them.
Breakfast at the Lasc mansion. Nando asks the twins what was the intention of the cuff prank. Ana questions them what about if it had turned out they could not take the cuffs off? Cuffs are serious stuff. Edith asks how they took them off. Fernando comes in. He kisses the kids. Gives the cuffs to Bruno to send them to the police with the driver. Fernando will go to see Diego, he will have surgery on his hands today. But first he has to go meet their little brother (I guess he will meet Isa at her sonogram to see the baby). The kids and Ana are a bit impactados.
At hospital, Natalia is already there to cheer and encourage Diego for his surgery. He says she was talking in her sleep. That she mentioned her dad several times. She is impactada.
At house Ana tells the kids Diego will have to stay with them for a while while he recovers. The kids are all loving the idea. Besos tronados.
At sonogram of Isa’s baby… Doctor tells Fernando it will be a boy.
At Lasc kitchen, Johnny plays juggling with the fruits and veggies. Ana and Edna nag at him for it. Ana is paranoic about InoDoro telling Fernando or Isabela about Ana’s job. Ana spots a cockroach by fridge and freaks out. It is up to Johnny to kill it. (this thing is humongous!!)
At college, Fanny is with Lenin looking at another book he gave her. She asks him why he always gives her books on feminist authors. They are about to kiss just as Leon shows up and Leon is shocked, yells her name. Who is this type? Fanny goes out with Leon and Edith nags at Lenin for causing a scene.
Out in hallway Leon is playing the angry jealous boyfriend. He can’t even tell for sure if they will see each other again tonight. Fanny walks away upset. Leon didn’t even give her the drawings.
In Lasc kitchen, there is chaos trying to kill the bug. Ana has a broom, Bruno has bug spray. Siete runs away. Edna is trying to hold on to Johnny.
Bruno gets paranoic that If Fernando finds out there is a plague of insects there, he will fire Bruno. Seems Johnny hurt his leg on a ‘split’. He plays superhero again… Edna plays his sidekick. But Ana hits his leg instead of the cockroach with the broom.
Freeky is looking at a photo of his dad. Betty says she did not know his dad’s company had gone broke. Freeky confirms he misses his dad very much. Betty asks wouldn’t you want to be a dad? You would be a great dad, like yours. This makes Freeky think, probably about Isa’s baby.
Fernando gets a picture of the baby on his camera. Isa feels sick. YoMama says she looks like Princess Carolina, can’t go anywhere because of the sickness. Isa and YoMama offer Fernando to go with him to see Diego. Isa asks Fernando if he is happy with the baby. He admits yes, he feels joy. Yomama thinks to herself ‘if you only knew who is the dad, Fernandito’.
Previews: Fernando and Ana talk about their memories of the kiss… Isa asks Fernando to let Alicia go to dinner at her place. Fernando agrees. VO: Isa uses Alicia to hurt Fernando. Ana tells Fernando she suspects about Alicia and Pablo meeting at Isa’s.

Kudos to Leon for being able to tell the twins apart. I certainly can't.
MN arta, I think Ana unlocked the cuffs with a Bobbie pin that she miraculously pull out of her super straight hair. Seems she is always pulling things out from under her uniform, now hair, etc.
I think I understood Jack of All Trades Johnny to say to the twins that he had experience wresting/boxing/UFC whatever on somewhat a professional level?
Think that was a remote control roach?

So El Pantera from next door...I'm twisting my beanie trying to imagine how they will introduce him into the plot. Characters seem to come and go at warp speed but we're never sure whether they are gone for good.

Eeek, that cucaracha sure seemed real.
I guess the good guys are supposed to know which is which when it comes to the twins, it's a way to show how much they really care. Yola can't tell them apart, nor can Isabella (or Viewerville, but we are the good guys by default).

I notice she (Ana) has approx shoulder length hair as Ana but at Chitown it is wavy and to her waist. A wig?

I can't even on Johny anymore--UFC now? First, not a fan of that "sport" so I'm not looking forward to if we have to deal with bringing that into the story, but c'mon already with this guy. Next thing we know he'll be running Fer's company since he's actually a genius at corporate organization.
The bugs of the apocalypse. I've seen those big boys up close at a nature preserve once at a kid's demo and they are not for the squeamish. The kids thought they were the coolest thing ever, but the bug has a very hard shell and hard to kill. I totally sympathized with the gang to have to deal with that little dude or dudette. Ick.
Knew the Leon/Lenin blow up would happen with all the kissy face going on with Fanny and Leon. Be happy, you know the anvil is falling soon. Giggled at Fer being mad he didn't meet Lenin--like he's such a great judge of character. Poor Luz--by the time it's her turn to be dating, Fer will be a mess with losing his last little girl to some guy.
Gee Fanny, you think it will be an awful reveal for Ana and Ana agrees. SO end it NOW. What's going to make it worse is how long this has gone on. Everyone will be back in the house and Fer is going to realize Nico, Diego, Fanny, etc. all know in one big swoop. That little convo seemed to telegraph to me the reveal won't be pretty.
Betty is beyond annoying. Eeky would make a great dad? Is she that clueless?

I know there is a way to continue on Caray Caray but I forget what it is.

Variopinto, I agree with you--any time animals are used on set I fret about them being treated properly. Hopefully this cucaracha has an agent and a nice shoebox to live in between gigs.

The 'real' reason that Ana's hair is different lengths is because she has a dance double for some of her dancing moves.

Don't think so..I've been carefully watching the pole dancing scenes and even notice it is SN at the very top of the pole, plus she always turns around a lot on the pole. You can see, if you look closely, that she just has hair extensions when her hair is wavy.

I can't imagine any of my college classmates behaving the way Lenin and his friends behave. Grow up, twits. Although I think Fanny is being wilfully naive about Lenin's intentions.
I hope El Pantera will replace Johnny. Loved his gratuitous dive roll over the little fence.
Never would have thought four people from the rough side of town would have such a hard time dealing with one cockroach.
Did Fer really agree to let Yolo and Isa go with him to the hospital to see Diego? Isn't Diego suffering enough?! Poor guy. Surgery causes enough stress without having a visit from two shrill harpies first.
So Natalia was apparently talking in her sleep about her father all night? I wonder what that's about.

What is wrong with Beatriz? I don't get her. She seems like a nice, competent person, always sympathizing with Leon and Fanny, but then she sees how horribly Enrique treats those people, not to mention how awful he was to HER, and she still is devoted to him and thinks he'd make a good father? What's her game? Surely someone like her could do much, much better if she wanted to. Or be a spinster forever, which would also be vastly preferable to a relationship with Frique.
Beatriz is just desperate for Enrique however he is however she can have him. No self esteem there.

Bea was at Harvard (lived there, anyway...it's never been clear whether she has a Harvard business degree also) when Enfrique was there. Maybe she has some dirt on him. Maybe he cheated his way through school and that's why he's so bad at his job.
Natalia dreaming and talking about her dad in her sleep... we still don't know much about Bruno's old love relationship. Is Natalia young enough to be his daughter?
Is is possible for pregnancy to occur without penetration, if things get frisky and close enough. A telenovela miracle? But we have no indication that Natalia doesn't know her father, so it's unlikely. But Natalia has to have more connections to our crowd. Maybe she's the daughter Yolo thought died but really didn't, and she was raised by adoptive parents? Maybe Doroteo is her father and she has nightmares about him? Maybe Enrique's father is also her father but Enrique never knew about her? Or her father is also Leon's unknown father?

And in the scenes where she looks different, we can't see her face. When they had to throw Fernando off of Lola's scent, they used an actress who had the hair and body of the the woman who seems like the double. I'm guessing it was her.

Cathyx: re: hair extensions. Thats what had me confused. Hair much longer and wavy without ever seeing her don/remove a wig. Is the drastic hair difference just something we are expected to just not notice on purpose?
Oh and I suppose we don't have to speculate any longer about Laura. There she was miraculously waiting to run into Leon after he "caught" Fanny about to get herself kissed. Pouring out her heart to him over coffee. Little bitch is kinda cute but even Reeky didnt ask for seconds. :')
