Hasta el Fin del Mundo #111 I Never Thought I'd Say This but, This TN Just Got Good! Really Good! Are the Regular Writers on Vacation?
During a phone call, Patrick screams at Greta for not controlling Sophia. He's tired of being humiliated. He says that her shameful past is the reason that she can't control that hussy, Sophia. Greta sobs and says that she can't make Sophia marry him. She's still all hysterical when Fausto comes in. She's afraid that Patrick will quit. Fausto assures her that Patrick will not quit his well-paid position. His lifestyle means more to him than Sophia does.
Ripoll
From yesterday, Patrick tells Silvana to hire Manjarrez and to put him in the production area. Silvana says that she doesn't have any openings, but Patrick doesn't care. He wants him on the payroll...NOW!
Alexa and Armando are making out in her office. They pause to gossip about Chava and Sophia. Alexa tells Armando that Sophia stood up for her love of Chava last night. Greta isn't happy about it, but Sophia wouldn't back down. Alexa confirms that Sophia stopped the wedding because she found out that Octavio wasn't her biological father. Alexa swears Armando to secrecy. Greta doesn't want anyone one to know that she was a big cheatin' ho bag before she married Octavio. The world would be shocked to know that Greta had sex.
Sophia enters Patrick's office and asks him not to quit. Alexa needs someone to help her run the company into the ground while Sophia finds herself. Patrick assures Sophia that he will not leave that company that he loves even though he hates her. He tells her to go in peace, he will take care of everything.
Sophia meets Silvana out in the hallway and invites her out to lunch. Chava walks up on the two of them and he and Sophia make out. They turn to Silvana and she pretends to be surprised that the two of them are together. Sophia isn't buying it. She implies that Silvana already knows about them because Patrick told Silvana. Silvana continues to act dumb.
Back in Patricks office, Patrick tells Manjarrez that he was highly recommended by Renzi. Patrick wants Manjarrez to sabotage the South American shipment by contaminating it with pesticides. Manjarrez is concerned that a lot of people may die. Patrick says that it won't be a lethal dose, it will just taste askew. Manjarrez is fine with that. Patrick says that he's not out to kill anyone, he hopes that this will trigger a lot of lawsuits.
Later, Silvana tells Patrick that she's afraid that Sophia believes Chava about their affair. Patrick tells Silvana to take the blame and tell Sophia that she harassed him until he couldn't resist her. Silvana protests and threatens to tell Sophia the truth. Patrick grabs her and tells her that she will regret it if she opens her big trap. Silvana backs down; she wants to know why he ordered her to hire Manjarrez. He credits her with the idea. Manjarrez is there to sabotage the South American shipment. He's studying the production line and will contaminate it with harmless pesticides that kill bugs and cause cancer in humans. Once the humans start dying an the company goes bankrupt, Sophia will realize how indispensable that Patrick is and go running back to him. Huh? Obviously, Patrick's been sniffing the pesticides.
Race Track
Chava takes Sophia out and teaches her how to drive. He wants her to find to herself, but encourages her to return to work ASAP. He doesn't trust Patrick to run the company. Chava tells her that her passion is chocolate and she needs to get back to work. She agrees and they spend the day driving, kissing and cuddling and making me ill (because I don't have a boyfriend and I am jealous).
Ripoll
Lucas runs into Manjarrez in the hall. Manjarrez tells Lucas that he's trying to go legit. Lucas ain't buying it. Lucas and Marisol run to Dani and tell her that there's a mobster in the building. Dani goes to Patrick and tells Patrick that Manjarrez has to go. Patrick blames everything on Silvana. Dani goes to Silvana and orders her to fire Manjarrez because Lucas recognized him.
Silvana yells at Patrick about Manjarrez. Patrick yells at Renzi about Manjarrez. Renzi yells at Manjarrez about Lucas. Manjarrez says that he didn't know that Lucas worked at Ripoll. Patrick orders Manjarrez to find a way to sabotage the chocolate NOW!
B/Mimbo have returned to Ripoll and are sucking face in front of the factory when the fire alarm goes off.
Manjarrez pulls the fire alarm and then unnecessarily pours the pesticide into a bucket, then unnecessarily pours the contents of the bucket into a big vat of chocolate. He could have cut out one of those steps.
Armando's House
Araceli is whining about Chava to Irma. She can't believe she's lost him. Irma encourages her to get revenge on the Ripoll girls. At first Araceli says that she doesn't want revenge, but quickly changes her attitude. The Ripoll girls need to be taken down a peg or two. Araceli remembers that her father signed everything over to her. That means that the chocolate recipes belong to her too. She can sue for them. She hesitates because she doesn't want Paco and Chava mad at her. Irma tells her to forget Chava and sue. Make blondie suffer and make them rich! Araceli is now on board.

Sue, Araceli, sue their pants off and better get it now because when Sofia finds out your daddy is her daddy, you become persona non grata.
Here's the thing. Sofia didn't have a normal dating life as a teen so I kinda give her a pass, enjoying speeding around with a bad boy in his hotrod between makeout sessions. However, she did mature and is a 30 year old intelligent woman underneath and will resume her life one day. Salvador is still a teen boy and never progressed, still speeding around with the hot blond girl, talking big and making out.
So Paco is going to pay for his stupidity signing everything over to Araceli sooner maybe rather than later. So now Araceli is tempted to sue for her father's recipes; just what he didn't want her to do. I knew Irma was nuts but wanting to get a witch and spells involved in Sofía's ruin? At least Araceli didn't jump at that option.
I cannot wait until Sofía finds out she is Araceli's half sister and Irma's half cousin. Related to two more crazies that she can add to her already exising crazy list of Greta and half sister Alexa.
Loved Alexa being treated just as one more actress at the audition.
None of Alexa's signature phrases but we did get a "Claro que switch" from Salvador.
Tofie, interesting observation about Sofía and Fernando stuck in their teenage years.
Hey, they all might be living at Lupita's if Araceli were to be successful with a lawsuit and if the company were sued for insecticide laced chocolates.
How I wish we could fast forward through a couple month's episodes.
Jarifa
Irma is egging her on, telling her to go for it!
Lucas was correct on calling out Manjarez's BS! Big question is how far will Patrick & Co., up the ante ?
Jarifa
In addition to what tofie noted, I also enjoyed "Alexa needs someone to help her run the company into the ground while Sophia finds herself".
Greta is far from my favorite, but I hate the slow poisoning. While I have some lingering sympathy for Silvana because she lost her child, I seeing nothing redeeming about Igor. At all.
tofie, I agree that Sophia deserves a chance to have fun after so many years of carrying the company (and her family) on her back.
Jarifa, "Loved Alexa being treated just as one more actress at the audition". Good point - it was, wasn't it? And the director was very serious and professional, no hint of the enthusiasm he'd displayed prior. Hmmm.
Manjarrez did his duty - I really hope someone sees him and that no one is seriously injured or dies.
Araceli is just pathetic. She is an educated woman who makes the poorest personal choices possible, refusing to see the truth that Chava will never, ever be hers. Her wallowing in self pity has obliterated any sound judgement as she is being manipulated by the scheming Irma. She will disappoint her father and live to regret trying to destroy her yet to be revealed half sister.

Second Prick and Co. plans falling apart. Seems that every time Patprikio is almost caught his backup plan also fails. His plans have gone from a long term master plan to putting out ever larger fires. I only wish Silvana would realize she only wants Greta dead and the fall of Ripoff Choc is not reallly a part of the plan. Thus jettison Patprikio. He is treading water with sharks circling. Loved it when Lucas did the right thing. Hopefully ongoing QC IE: at subsequent production stages, will catch the pesticide. Love to see Patprikio and Greta the Hun share a cell
Oh my---Insecticide in the chocolate. No cameras in the production area? There was a lot of money in that big pot of chocolate. Sorry, I forgot that this is a novela.
the gringo
Patricio's plans always blow up in his face. Hopefully this time will be no different. I have no idea how chocolate manufacturing works, but I can't believe they'll package and ship it without further quality testing.
Lucas is a hero for moving so fast against Manjarrez. Now, if/when the contamination is found out and all are too stupid to finger Manjarrez, I will scream.
Interesting scene of Alexa feeling cocky when she thinks her competition is heavyset women and then feeling rattled when her competition turns out to be fashion models in the next room. Did I hear correctly that the receptionist said the heavyset women were there for a chicharrón (fried pork skin) ad? I think this was an inside joke that I didn’t get.
Men may be harsh critics but there is no one group harder on women themselves than other women.
Blech.
Diana
Yes, it was a chicharrón commercial .
Jarifa
If she does get the job, can she do acting and run the company at the same time or is she expecting Sofia to come back?
the gringo
Jarifa, I thought Alexa really liked Irais and she never seemed to be critical. Seeing this unappealing side of her is very disappointing.
gringo, I think Alexa is pursuing her career as she knows she can't run Ripoll. She is expecting that Sophia will return when she sees how poorly things are being run without her.
Diana
Big question is whether Armando finds out about this.
Just have that bad vibe!
Jarifa, I liked the episode because it was a kind of nail biter. It was quick. Were the bad guys or the good guys going to win? I liked that Chava told Sophia to get a grip and go back to work.
Cynderella
The look on cocky little Alexa's face was priceless in both rooms. The first (canned beans ad) room , smug superiority, the second , (romantic movie lead) Awww fork.
I don't mind Araceli, her crime is loving Salvador, why I don't get, but she does. Her only disappointment will not be losing Salvador however, but the heaping helping of love and affection for her half sister. When it known, Araceli will be shuffled aside. She has a kick me sign on her back and doesn't even know it. I'd be pissed too buy would just leave town and get on with it.
