La Gata #104 01/26/15 The one where the outfits hella sucked
Bullet point time!
Next: Episode 105
- Silencioso and Co are still looking for Esmeralda
- Pablo is kind of a jerk, I mean I know that Gisela is a crazy wench, but Pablo does not, and he is treating her like dirt!
- Gisela wants to get the hell out of dodge and is planning a trip to Italy but Pablo refuses to go
- Garza also wants to get out of town before people find out that he and Lorenza are partners in crime, he goes to visit Monicas mom to asks her for his money cause he does not want to go back to the pokey. She tells him Lorenza is in charge of everything so he's gonna have to wait. And he's all like "naw you old bat, pay me my cash!"
- Garza is not happy and starts to choke her, omgeee you guys her eye make up is hideous!
- Monica shows up and sees her mom being attacked so she hits Garza with her mini-clutch purse and knocks him out. WTF does she keep in there? No seriously, how heavy was that little purse that she managed to knock a grown man out?
- Garabato wants revenge! He goes to see Fernando and threatens to shot him for killing his father. Fernando explains that it was self-defense, Agustin set everything up so that he and Garabatos father could steal Fernandos fortune. Garabato wants to know if his mother was also a thief who deserved to die.
- Fernando explains that his mother was a saint and that Agustin killed her in order to keep her quiet about the fraud that had been committed.
- Garabato has money you guys! His fathers assets were frozen until the day his child was found. Well, how is that for a lucky break?
- Ooooh also it seems like Garabato never had a name, just his nickname. Seriously? His real name according to Fernando is Victor De Lafuente. Garabato sheds a tear cause he has a name *sniff,sniff*
- All agree that the only victims in this were Esmeralda and Garabato.
- Mariano visits Fernando and tells him Pablo is with Gisela, they both agree that something ain't right with that.
- Esmeralda is handing out cash to her peeps for their hard work, did you guys see the stuff they made? You'd have to pay me to wear it, it was Fugly!
- Gisela visits Lorenza, she needs her help to get Pablo to leave the country with her, otherwise he will run back to Kitty cat.
- OMG, who did the actress playing Lorenza piss off? Cause they got their revenge by making her wear an ugly ass pair of pants and an ill fitting top.
- Anyhoo, Pablo was not home.
- Pablo is off having slight memories of Esmeralda.
- Pablo wants to know why all his clothes are new, Gisela tells him she just wanted them to have a fresh start.
- Later, when Gisela leaves the house Pablo sneaks in and hopes to find out what's going on.
- Fernando and an old friend from the jail made a plan to stage the most stupid fight ever in an attempt to get Esmeralda to leave her hiding place. It worked. It was stupid but it worked. Fernando says he wishes he had had the courage to run away with her and Blanca. He knows that the dump will always be a part of Esmeralda and that the barrio peeps will always be her homies.
End of episode.
The best part for me was a shot of a horse that just plain refused to be taped, it was almost as if it knew that his carrer would be damaged by being a part of this mess. I get you horse, I get you.

Call me crazy but I actually thought this was one of the better episodes in recent memory. Maybe just bec more was going on in all fronts.
This show could have been so much better if it had started out with the 3 families plots and then jumped to how the children were affected, I.e. Esme, the MNs, and Garabato. Those 3 lives intertwined would have made for a much more interesting and complex story.

This was a good episode.
Garabato & El Sil - That was a good scene. It was nice to see that Garabato finally has a name - Victor.
Monica, Eugenia, & Garza - Monica is back. Where has been anyway? Good thing she showed up in time to save mommy from being strangled to death by Garza. Monica seemed disgusted by what mommy and Eugenia did. I loved how she dismissed Garza and shut the door.
El Sil & Gata - I'm glad he finally found her. That was clever of him to trick her into coming out of hiding.
Garabato & El Sil - That was a good scene. It was nice to see that Garabato finally has a name - Victor.

Oh so El Sil tricked Gata into coming out of hiding. Thanks Mauricio---I was just going to write about the worst most phony fight scene I had ever seen. So it was all a trick/fake fight. A good move on El Sil's part

I'm afraid to get too attached to the new, clean, handsome Garabato because...you know. But really, that guy he killed--it was an accident! (No, it was.) So now he and his gang and big time best buddies with Chacharas, whom they once almost beat to death. I'm glad all is forgiven.
Gisela, next time you want to fly away with Pablo, try a country where you won't need a pasaporte. Unless Pablo happened to have his in his pocket when he went to Valle Del Bravo.
So are we done with Vicky and Hat Bro? Because they were interesting characters.

Loved the recap, Eli! I did not watch the episode and now I wish I had. Sounds like there were some interesting developments and hideous outfits (always fun.)
I guess I'm sort of happy for Garabato. I'm sure this will all lead to Ines keeping the baby, but it just smacks of them being rewarded for all the bad they did. Which is fine, but there are TN rules dammit!

She looked exactly as we last saw her in CI. With her and hat brow who was Octavios bf, they are giving me CI flashbacks which isn't good :)
Monica didn't hit Garza with her purse. She stepped in, looked around, then grabbed something from the end table to hit him with. Looked little, like a purse, but I think it was some kind of small art piece.

I was somewhat gratified that Monica's mom was forced to admit to her daughter all the dumbass shit she and Lorenza have been up to.
If Gi were a better criminal mastermind, she would have made a call from Valle Del Bravo and had someone pack a bag from Pablo's place and then scatter some of his stuff around.
What was up with the weird continuity glitch that Pablo walks down that same set of stairs over and over in different outfits--and it's never whatever outfit he was wearing when he left Gisela's?

Carvivlie, I think you nailed it: it would have been better if they started the story with the 3 star-crossed families! LaToodle Noodle is trying to make a lot of statements about haves and have nots but the biggest statement is about herself: Having a lot of money does NOT a good storyteller make!
