Mi corazon es tuyo, #136, Ximena is back! and Nando is torn between two lovers... Edith is devastated at his silence... Isa calls Johnny and Ana is living dangerously for memories sake

On Bruno’s signal, Fanny leaves Edith at kitchen and heads outside. Edith is left with kids, something’s going on.. Alicia says never in this house!
Sarai arrives to kitchen to say goodbye to everyone.
Ana fails at getting Fernando’s attention to package so she opens it, is confused at the box she finds inside.
Fanny heads outside. Bruno is left with the kid at couch.

Ana keeps egging herself saying he has no reason to feel embarrassed. She does not mind torture and if he wants to use ‘that’ he is welcome to. (he starts giggling) he says he did not order them. She asks what does it say here. He confirms his name is Fernando Lascurain, but he is not the ONLY Fernando Lascurain in the house. She finally ‘gets it’.. he asks her if she knows about Nando having interest In ‘growing’. Ana now feels real bad and tells Fernando that Nando won’t like it that ‘we’ opened his package. Fernando confronts her ‘"we??", Kemosabi?'’.
Outside, we finally get the reaction. Ximena keeps repeating to him not to worry. It was ‘logical’ we were far apart and she was nuts. Fanny is glad Ximena looks and acts so well. Fanny even wants to retake the friendship and wants to catch her up to everything that has happened to her. Ximena says she no longer lives at the house, she lives in a nearby apartment. That house depressed her. Fanny leaves them alone. Ximena has to insist to a shocked Nando not to worry. Its all cool. She says she will leave now, but when he calms down he can tell her all about Edith, and leaves with a smile on her face. He finally smiles, and says Ximena is so different.
Inside, Edith asks Fanny why she was outside. Fanny has to lie. Edith insists. Fanny says it is for Nando to tell you.

The problem is you are not experienced in the art of the greek god of love. If the chance shows up, what is wrong with pursuing it? Fernando comes down so they stop the chat.

Isa keeps trying to deny but her thoughts win over her. Yomama tells Isa it is a good chance to find out why Johnny is related to the Lascurains. (seems yomama is suspicious of what kind of relationship brought Johnny to the Lasc mansion… she’s not the only one).
La Diva and Jen are watching Johnny install the tubes at the studio. He is enjoying the attention.

Freeky is getting his meds at the psych hospital. (of course he did not really take it even though the nurse made him open his mouth. He ‘sees’ his dad who is still mad at him. You have to escape!! Aren’t you so smart?? Don’t you have a revenge to run?? Fanny rejected you! Stupid Leon confronted you! Fernando sent me to the tomb, Isabella almost killed you!!' Freeky yells 'I KNOW THAT!!!' (nurse comes to check why Freeky is yelling. Nurse makes the mistake to leave the keys behind.)

'you are going to try to tell me Ximena's email and return did not affect you?' He admits it did. She yells 'then dont tell me that nothing is going to happen!!' Edith yells so loud Ana and the kids can hear them in the homework room. Ana goes over there. Sebas asks what is going on. One of the twins says maybe the vampire girl needs blood! Luz says 'maybe she will turn him into a vampire!' (LOL!)
Nando finally admits to Edith he does not know what is going to happen or how to process this situation. He struggles to knock on the door or not, but as he is leaving, Betty comes out very provocatively asking where he’s going. She tells him she is not scary, is she? She is glad he accepted her invitation. They walk in. He is scared as a virgin boy going into a pros’s room.(what was that Dustin Hoffman movie? The graduate?)
Nando tells Ana that he found Ximena serene and pretty, and he melted like plasma (?)… Fernando is coming in the room… Ana tells Fernando that Nando asked Edith for time to think things through. Nando tells Ana and Fernando that they never really completely like Ximena. They remind him everything that they all went through during Ximena’s crises(her crazy stuff, his failing at school, his crying, etc etc). Nando is surprised that they are enumerating so in synch with each other, even thinking and saying the same things. Ana asks Fernando not to copy her phrases. He claims he is no telepath, he thinks them first.
Fanny is with Alicia, these two are finally chatting and behaving like sisters. Alicia tells her she has been texting with Pablo. Fanny tells her it is also the opposite season there than here. Fanny asks her how she likes Dra Magda. Alicia says she has an appointment with her at her office next week. Fanny asks are you going? I think so. Fanny says what matters is that she be happy. Fanny keeps feeding her airplane style.
Magda tells Angel she was hurt by him saying that he doesn’t trust her. He says he has been confused since her return. He was surprised very much at her Christmas present. Her changes, her return to her profession, her quitting the corporate job… She says there is more. He is so handsome and sweet and generous that he doesnt want to hurt her. She wants Angel to tell her what is confusing him so much. He admits he is in love with another woman. She pulls her hand from his. She says she would ask if she did not know who, but it is Ana, isn’t she? Yes.
Fanny tells Ana how Ximena looks. She does look calm and stable, cute colors in her hair. She has also got along with her mom. Fanny will meet her soon for coffee and chat. Ana tells her that Fernando saw Edith leave crying. Fanny doesnt want Edith to suffer. Jenny calls Ana on cell phone. Fanny will go see Ximena. Before Fanny leaves, Ana wants to know how her love life is, but Fanny says they will need much more time for that chat. Jen tells Ana that Dana talked to DoroFeo. He sent message that Ana will have to return next week. Jeny tells Ana her outfits are in bad shape. But Dorofeo won’t bulge some money for new ones. Ana says she will have to bring them to the house to fix them since here she has the sewing machine (E.T. says OOOUCH!!!) Jenny offers her help. They will meet at Chicago in the afternoon. They hang up. Ana tells herself she hopes they can catch Dorofeo with the lawyer in the ‘deal’. They day they discover what is going on she can say goodbye to Chicago and the lies and be happy with ‘your dad’ (she is still talking to the baby). DN is real sleepy and she rants at him that he is sleepy when she is telling something important to him.
Betty and Bruno talk about Manuela. Betty says maybe she was too evident and maybe he needs someone more subtle. Nervous Bruno says subtleness is a huge virtue. They are enjoying some wine, he toasts to her.
Nando and Fernando are talking about love and his situation. Fernando asks Nando if he wants to compare the love he feels for Edith with the love he feels for Ximena. Nando says its a bit hard since they have very different qualities. Ximena was his first love, and Edith is wonderful. Fernando brings up that he has not yet loved with the ‘new’ Ximena. Nando says the issue is while he runs his ‘test’ which is hard on its own, someone will end up hurt, like Edith just showed them. He does not want to hurt anyone.
Ana comes in, asking for permission to go out to meet with Jenny. He says the time when she needed to ask for permission is way past them. He still wants her to take Zeus, but she passes on it. Fernando asks Ana if the ‘not confusing the kids’ issue includes Nando… Nando jumps up, they agree Nando is grown up… Fernando tricks Ana into getting close and plants a kiss on her… ‘everything is fair in love!’ (Nando loves it).. Ana tells them she left her mom in charge of the baby. As she leaves, she turns the trick on Fernando (makes him turn to Nando and agree that Nando is so handsome) and kisses him (when he turns back around) before running out… Nando loves it even more, yells 'what love!!' and Fernando says 'she is a woman...' and Nando completes it '... she is a perfect woman for you!' Fernando is barely containing his happiness in his body, Nando enjoyed the back and forward pranks very much… Fernando says 'excepcional' while Nando hugs him and says 'i am so glad for you!' Feranndo and Nando hug very happily.
Fanny and Ximena are having coffee and lots more… Fanny tells her about Edith… Ximena asks Fanny if Nando is real smitten. Fanny declines to say something that should be Nando’s to explain. Ximena then asks about Leon. Fanny tells her about rejecting Leon’s proposal, he got mad at her, and about their split and now he is going out with Laura.
Ana and Jenny at the Chicago dressing room, Ana is putting on the disguise mask she had on when Fernando met Lola. Jenny is laughing loud when Ana mixes Italian and Brazilian accents.
Fernando and Nando keep talking about Ximena and Edith. Nando does not want to be so selfish on each of them. If Nando leaves Edith waiting and tries to get along with Ximena, Fernando tells him ‘as Ana would say, you might be left without either one (como el perro de las dos tortas)’. Nando says if he goes on with Edith as if Ximena never came back, he will remain with the doubt and won’t be completely happy with Edith.
Edith is crying remembering her best moments with Nando, when he said he wanted to go out with her, and she said that’s what she wanted to hear. ‘I think I lost you, Nando. I lost you. Why? Why?’
Ana and Jenny keep reminiscing Ana’s cool moments with Fernando. She notices all her outfits need lots of mending. Ana is packing the Lola outfit in a bag because she wants to take them for the memories of the moments with Fernando. (BIG mistake… HUGE … HUGE mistake) Jenny asks Ana what she has thought. Ana puts some other outfits in the bag. Ana says they have to catch Dorofeo red handed with the lawyer. The issue is how. Fernando asks Ana if the ‘not confusing the kids’ issue includes Nando… Nando jumps up, they agree Nando is grown up… Fernando tricks Ana into getting close and plants a kiss on her… ‘everything is fair in love!’ (Nando loves it).. Ana tells them she left her mom in charge of the baby. As she leaves, she turns the trick on Fernando (makes him turn to Nando and agree that Nando is so handsome) and kisses him (when he turns back around) before running out… Nando loves it even more, yells 'what love!!' and Fernando says 'she is a woman...' and Nando completes it '... she is a perfect woman for you!' Fernando is barely containing his happiness in his body, Nando enjoyed the back and forward pranks very much… Fernando says 'excepcional' while Nando hugs him and says 'i am so glad for you!' Feranndo and Nando hug very happily.
Fanny and Ximena are having coffee and lots more… Fanny tells her about Edith… Ximena asks Fanny if Nando is real smitten. Fanny declines to say something that should be Nando’s to explain. Ximena then asks about Leon. Fanny tells her about rejecting Leon’s proposal, he got mad at her, and about their split and now he is going out with Laura.
Ana and Jenny at the Chicago dressing room, Ana is putting on the disguise mask she had on when Fernando met Lola. Jenny is laughing loud when Ana mixes Italian and Brazilian accents.
Fernando and Nando keep talking about Ximena and Edith. Nando does not want to be so selfish on each of them. If Nando leaves Edith waiting and tries to get along with Ximena, Fernando tells him ‘as Ana would say, you might be left without either one (como el perro de las dos tortas)’. Nando says if he goes on with Edith as if Ximena never came back, he will remain with the doubt and won’t be completely happy with Edith.
Edith is crying remembering her best moments with Nando, when he said he wanted to go out with her, and she said that’s what she wanted to hear. ‘I think I lost you, Nando. I lost you. Why? Why?’
Ana and Jenny keep reminiscing Ana’s cool moments with Fernando. She notices all her outfits need lots of mending. Ana is packing the Lola outfit in a bag because she wants to take them for the memories of the moments with Fernando. (BIG mistake… HUGE … HUGE mistake) Jenny asks Ana what she has thought. Ana puts some other outfits in the bag. Ana says they have to catch Dorofeo red handed with the lawyer. The issue is how. Ana tells Jenny that there are some tiny tiny cameras on sale in the internet. Dana comes in and scares the breath out of both of them.
The phone rings as Johnny is coming out of the shower wet and shirtless… it is Isa, to Johnny’s surprise. (more like he is FLOOOOOORED by the call) She has a proposal for Johnny. He smiles flattered.
Previews: Ana and Jenny bring a whole black garbage bag of her tube outfits into the house. Soledad is looking at them. Later on Fernando is knocking hard on the door demanding they open the door, later he is in and seems Ana has hidden the stuff.
AAARRGGGHHH!!! Get it over with!!! The SH will hit the F so ‘hay que coger el toro por los cuernos… a lo que te truje, chencha!!!’ (grab the bull by the horns… lol! no idea what wording to use to translate the other one)

Marta great recap for such a childish episode. I'm getting really tired of all this tiptoeing around with Ana and Fernando just to get to the part where they are ready to get married at the altar of the church and Isabruja comes running in to break up the ceremony. Not really, just saying, let's get going with a coherent plot.

Wow Marta, thanks for the big recap! I always enjoy the recaps for this show, even though the show at times (like tonight) seems a bit slow.

Zimmer vs Eatit: OK my take.. Zim is hotter than Eatit and she was first. Eatit has 'consummated' her relationsjip with Nando but is still sleeping in her outlandish disguise. She is also clingy suspicious and an emotional train wreck. Both girls are graduates of Nando's PCBC (Psycho Chick Boot (y) Camp).
My vote goes to Zimm'r. The new wore off the freaky goth thing looooong ago for me. And who in her right mind sleeps like that? Wake up with something like that at 3 AM? YIKES

I'm mind-numbed with the Nando/Edith/Ximena plot. Way too much time on them yesterday, but I guess they are the triangle du jour. I have to keep reminding myself Nando is 17-18 (they never show any birthdays now). The fact that both girls are fragile of course adds to the absurdity of this plot line. I don't trust Ximena either. Almost as if she was smiling far too much. (And she lives on her own again or is mom with her?) This has disaster written on it and I'm not all in on that.

For all Fernando's faults, deception is not one. He is an open book and Ana knows everything. Even when she opened the box, believing there was something he hadn't disclosed, she finds it was for his son.
She's not even nervous when she lies to his face because she knows he trust her in everything. Someone like this is very capable of lying about anything if she believes it will protect what she desires.

I have not been a fan of Analier for a while now. This is really beginning to smack of some really nice naive fellow being snookerd by a slick dishonest stripper/hooker which happens a lot in real life. Not that Analier is either, but to Fernando she will look that way when she is unmasked. His reaction will not be pretty and she will have no one to blame without the assistance of a mirror. And her frippin coy little games are even more maddening given the situation. "Oh no no no Fernando I just don't think it proper is you sully me with a kiss. What would your kids think.?" Puleeze can't wait for her anvil.

Does anybody really think that Angel is in any position to get into a new relationship? I don't. He still seems too bent out of shape about Magda's abortion which -- BTW -- didn't have to happen.
They could have seen a geneticist about IVF to avoid having a Down's Syndrome child even if that meant using an egg donor. What we don't know is the degree of communication about this between Angel and Magda back in the day. Did she not tell him about her brother? I also don't think we know when she had the abortion. Was it right away out of blind fear or did she have amnio? That would be a tough thing to hide from a husband.
The other thing is that because Magda is educated and degreed, she should have known better than this. She should have gotten tested first to see if she carried the extra chromasome. She should have told Angel. I can't imagine a pediatrician who wouldn't want to have children of his own.

Nice Recap! The whole Ximena/Nando/Edith thing is just ridiculous. They could've have title their scene, "How to make an already insecure person more insecure by acting and behaving stupid." Why didn't he just tell her that yes, Ximena showed up but I told her that I was with you and you are my girlfriend, instead of just dragging the whole thing out. Even though i don't think it would have made any difference with Edith because she was so blinded by jealousy, she was accusing him before she found out anything. If she is going to act like this whenever there is adversity, Nando needs to move on.

These TNs are produced for a Latin audience, but I'm wondering if they are happy about extending a popular TN. It's seems glaringly obvious to me that if you have a bible for your TN and then you start extending it after the fact, you lose focus, pacing, etc.
I like this TN. From the commments I read, I think I might be the only one. It's certainly not my fav (Amor Bravio has that vote--despite CdlF non-acting ability), but I wonder how much better it would have been if it hadn't been extended (even more so if it hadn't been produced by Osario--but that's a different discussion).

nanette, that is why so many of us love CS'93. The whole project was only 80 episodes and it was completely done (all eps recorded) by the time the 1st ep aired on television. IT was a super secret type project and it did not get influenced by audience preference or how popular it was...
Marta: that's one of the reasons I loved La Reina del Sur. It was only 65 eps so moved fast. No time to get bored. Will have to catch CS'93 sometime.

yesterday when she lied to head to Chicago she told Fernando her mother would look after little Diego so I guess that's what she'll do 3 or 4 nights a week. Her excuse now will be she is going to see Jenny.

I have to comment because it is such a total drag to look in on a forum where everyone seems to dislike the novela being discussed. I can't speak for anyone other than myself but plot fatigue gets confused with dislike in many of my comments. I don't dislike this novela, but rather want the plot to be as smart and fun as when it started -- and get moving! I still watch faithfully and will follow through to the end. I am guessing that this is the case for many of the contributors.
I think that all of the classics have all been shorter and more tightly written. These nearly-200 episode ones are more common these days, I believe, and seem to always involve extensions. Telemundo novelas are generally shorter, but that is another discussion.
I just didn't want you to think that you are alone (or close to alone) in seeing and enjoying the good parts.

I can't speak for anyone other than myself but plot fatigue gets confused with dislike in many of my comments. I don't dislike this novela, but rather want the plot to be as smart and fun as when it started -- and get moving! I still watch faithfully and will follow through to the end. I am guessing that this is the case for many of the contributors.
I think that all of the classics have all been shorter and more tightly written. These nearly-200 episode ones are more common these days, I believe, and seem to always involve extensions. Telemundo novelas are generally shorter, but that is another discussion.
I just didn't want you to think that you are alone (or close to alone) in seeing and enjoying the good parts.
Nanette, I do not know if you saw QPTR but one if the reasons that was as good as it was is that there were no extensions.

another great one that is real short is Amor Gitano with Mau Islas and Marianna Seoane (she is in Hasta el fin del mundo now)
cuando me enamoro was great although it was 180 eps. it kept the attention precisely because the couple got together several times throughout the story. and the BIG BANG reveal (untangling of misunderstandings) happened half way through, with the villains BIG BANG reveal in the end.

Mati: I really enjoy this tn, and more so, the clever recaps, but I write some pretty scathing comments. This TN has so many dumb things going on it is mind-numbing to see them doing things which are unexplainable to any rational human. I always tell myself "Nobody is forcing you to watch this Kirbo. There's the channel button right there."
And then there are the writers who actually give us even more cannon fodder. IE: Um, writers, did you see the episode two days ago?
Just my simple take on this silly entertaining TV show and my appreciation of the work which goes into this even more entertaining and educational Caray site.
