Que Te Perdone Dios, Cap 18: A Compromising Confession and a Game of Chicken

~~Parte 1~~
Cap #18

As we left it last time, Fausto was attempting to drown Diana in the river cuz if he couldn’t have her, nobody could—especially anybody younger and sexier like Mateo!!  As luck would have it, who should come trotting by on his white charger complete with a white hat, but Diego!  “—Let her go!”  He jumps into the river and forces Grey ‘n Grizzled Fuzzy to stop then and there!  “—Don’t you mess with me, peon!”  Diego steps back and Di races off to her bling-mobile with Feisty yelling after her to stop.  (She may be daring but she ain’t a total fool.)  Diego, meanwhile, unties Feisty’s hawss and shoos him away, leaving the crusty old homicidal maniac to hoof it home on his own--muy bad mojo.

Back at the hacienda de Angel, Renata guesses that Abigail is mooning around the house cuz she’s fallen in love with the unavailable Mat.   Macaria sticks her nose in, having overheard the two of them and reminds Abi there’s no way some hacendado’s nephew is gonna ever pay serious attention to some servant’s kid.  Ren sends Abi away and gives Mac grief over speaking to “their” daughter that way.  “--Why not?    Did you really see yourself and Pablo together for the rest of your lives any more than me and your husband? I’m only trying to avoid the same suffering and bitterness the two of us have gone through our entire lives!  What for?  It cannot take place.”

At the same time Patricio is kicking himself for acting like a lovesick teenager and falling head over heels for a married woman at this point in his life.

Back in the living room again, Ren now informs Mac that Feisty is running for mayor and worries about the S.O.B. gaining any more power than he already has.  Mac agrees.  “—Can we do anything to ruin his plans?”   Doña Simona, Ren says, is their backstop as she’s decided to run against him in the race.  Ren asks Mac to represent her at the campaign meeting she’s holding that night at her house in town.  Mac agrees to go.

In town, meanwhile, Simona’s campaigning on a street corner opposite of Lucio who tells the men watching her with him that his boss is launching his own campaign and of course all of them should be sure to vote for him instead of some crazy female.  They agree that Feisty is the better choice.  “¡Por supuesto! ¡Qué sí!”

A bit later that morning, Amanda pays a visit to Abi at home and offers her the money Abi’s real abuela secretly gave her to help out with the start up expenses at The EnRamera.  Abi naively believes it came from Amy’s lifelong savings.

Fausto is still drip drying along the road home when who’s SUV drives toward him but Di’s.  She gets out, lays a large (and death-defying) lip-lock on her homicidal homeboy, and tells him she’s back despite all because she truly loves him.  They sit under the old oak tree—or whatever passes for one down in those parts—swearing their undying lust for each other.  Di decides to see just how far Feisty will take it.  “--Prove to me how much you love me and let’s run away together!  We’ll leave everything and everyone behind!”  He decides to take her up on it.  She, of course, worries that the old coot really has gone over the edge.  They jump into the jeep and begin to drive off.

In town, while walking to the church, Helena gives grief to Mat for supposedly playing with the feelings of two women at the same time.  “—You and Abigail were raised to see each other as brother and sister!”  Bad manners and bad karma, kid.  “—I am not going to allow you to commit the same slimy tricks that your--!”  She stops herself just in time, but Mat notes that something is up.  (He didn’t spend all those years becoming a medico for nuttin’ honey!)  She gets in a huff, all embarrassed and says they’ll talk later.

Inside the church, Helly tells the good padre that she really needs to confess, big time.  He obliges.

Across town, Mac and Sim make nice and she agrees to accept Ren’s secret support.  Fausto cannot win this election!  Sim has a couple minutes of self-doubt until the Cougar Sisters show up with their support as well.  However, that’s in question the moment Effi and Edi spy Mac sitting there.

During her confession, Hellie tells the padre what’s been eating at her recently: the secret that has been killing her is that Mateo is really Fausto Lopez Guerra’s son!  Duhn-duhn-duhn-duhnnnnn!

~~Parte 2~~

So, it’s a lie all that you’ve had us believe all these years?  (Well, what did you expect, Padre?  It is a confession after all!)  Yes, she admits, and all done out of such shame and embarrassment.  (Natch.)  “--I lied because Fausto threatened me and forced me to!”  She decided to tell his big brother, Gerardo, the day of their wedding.  (Nice one, there, Hellie!  Really great timing, too, might I add?)   She was engaged to one and the other’s lover at the same time.  She couldn’t go on with it.  She had to tell Gerry or she’d bust.  She told him that she was hopelessly in love with Fausto and that she had his bun in the oven.   “--Please forgive me!  I cannot marry you because you don’t deserve it.”

“—You’re actually serious?  You’re asking me to forgive you????  You really think I should forgive you?  With my kid brother????”  Hellie says she doesn’t know how it could have happened, but it did and when she tried resisting him, Fausto, being such a babe magnet, it was simply impossible.  "He came riding in on his horse and as much as I tried not to, I ended up running into his arms and…in spite of myself… because to feel one caress of his…one kiss of his lips—“  “--Silence! Just S.H.U.T. U.P., ALREADY!”  Gerry screams at her that for gawd sakes, it was his kid brother (and oversexed), much younger than her (and oversexed), and gawd-awful perverted (and he’s so oversexed)!!  She yells back that she can’t keep quiet and that she had told herself all the same things night after night-- that he was his kid brother (and oversexed), that he was much younger than her (and oversexed), and that it was so gawd-awful wrong (and perverted) that it would cause one nasty tragic sequence of events…--but then, his sexiness was so overwhelming that it trumped her morals, her will, her good sense!

It’s the fifty shades with Helena.  Gerry’s heard more than enough and he screams at her to just shut the heck up already.  (Gawd, it really sucks to be Gerry about now.)  But, Motor Mouth de Helena just keeps on rambling. If Gerry wasn’t such a gentleman he could have slapped the crap outta her in an effective attempt to stop the ditz from continuing to spew, but nooooooooo!  La Motor Mouth is incapable of self control (as we know) and she keeps on truckin’ with the truth.  “—I never thought I could love like that, so intensely.  I love him so much more than myself, even!”  Gerry slams the desktop and growls back at her through gritted teeth.  “—You waited until our wedding day to tell me that you two were jumping each other’s bones?”  (Gees!)  “—Forgive me.”

Gerry grabs her.  “—I should forgive you?  Let God forgive you!  And he should forgive me also for what I am going to do!”    He grabs his pistol out of the desk drawer.  “—You turned yourself into my brother’s lover.  You’ve been rolling in the sheets with him in my own house.”  He points his gun at her.  “—That’s the kind of woman you are, Helena, the worst!  The most worthless of them all!!”  She begs him not to do it and he tells her he is definitely going to kill her—both Fausto and her!  She screams then that she’s got Fausto’s bun bakin’ in the oven.  (Whoops!  That’s a hawss of a different color!)  “--Get out of here!  Scram!”

Hellie raced out and came face to face with Fausto.  She told him what had just happened and he went in to speak with his brother.  There was a lot of screaming and yelling.  She screamed for help.  One, only one, of the ranch hands went to her aid.  He entered the office.  She was too upset to remember which of the hands went in.  She just remembers that he was scarcely fifteen or so and she didn’t want to expose him to such things.  However, he bravely entered the office to see how he could help.  A few seconds later she heard shots and that was when Fausto came out.   “—Gerardo was dead.  He took his own life in front of his brother, Padre!!! And it was all my fault!  My fault!”  Padre mentions that in town everyone says he died in an accident; that that’s why he never showed up at the church to marry her.  “—Fausto has been the love of my life.  That’s my punishment, Padre.”

Well, that is one version of the story.  Seems that Lucio is concurrently having bad memories about the third version, the one where Fausto screams “Shoot!”, but it’s at Lucio and he’s ordering him to shoot Gerry!  Lucio sees himself pointing the gun at Gerry who’s trying to reason with him, telling him he’s scarcely a boy and shouldn’t be getting his hands dirty this way.  Doesn’t matter.  Lucio’s a loyal dog and the gun goes POW!”  Unlucky Luke wakes up and takes another drunken swig before throwing the bottle on the floor…..

In town again, at Simona’s, she’s asking for human charity/kindness where Mac is concerned just as Tony and Buff Mechanic enter the room.  Tony looks at them all and asks, “--Who is throwing the first stone, eh?”  (Couldn’t resist a good snicker at that one.)

Meanwhile, Diego’s abue is fixing supper.  Seems Padre is coming.  Diego comes in to tease her and she gets upset at the thought of Don Feisty seeing him there.  Diego tells her cryptically that not only doesn’t the dastardly dude have authority over him now that Abi is his new patrona, but with what he knows about the creep, no way he’d ever dare touch a hair on Diego’s head!  (That remains to be seen.)

Feisty stops the bling mobile and admits he really cannot run away with Di now that he’s running for mayor.  She agrees that he’s got that to consider and she knows that he’s got nothing of his own financially for them to rely upon.  He offers to take the money in Ren’s accounts but Dee Dee has enough sense to tell him that she and he wouldn’t like having the law pursue them to the ends of the earth over embezzlement and fraud.  What other solution is there?  He’ll think of one and she’s willing to wait however long it takes.  (And in the meantime, there’s Mateo…..)

end of parte 2~~
=======
Parte 3~~

Helena stops in for a visit with Ren.  They cannot believe Fausto’s never let her come and get acquainted before now.  Hellie’s worried about Abi and Mat and there being some sort of problem there.   Ren says something about their both being mothers when somebody knocks at the bedroom door.  Hellie’s confused and Ren realizes her mistake and answers the door.  It’s meal time and Abi’s there to get her.  --Saved by the dinner bell!

Abi takes a moment in the kitchen to tell Diego about the money her “abuela” gave her to help with Enramera’s expenses.  She doesn’t bother to eat with the others this time.  Fausto doesn’t either and Ren is relieved.

Mac learns that Amanda’s given money to Abi and reckons that it didn’t really come from her Mama.  She goes sneaking around and finds the envelope hidden under Abi’s mattress.  (Now, you’d think that Abi after living all these years with Mac, would know enough not to leave money under a mattress!  Smart would have been leaving it with Ren in a lock box or something in her room.  Yeah, right.)

DeeDee tells Tia Mia what happened at the river and Mia screams at her that she’s going to get killed.  Dee Dee thinks she’s got Feisty under control and she intends to WIN!

Abi and Hellie discuss her being allowed to stay at Enramera.  Abi takes the opportunity to mention her distrust of Di’s true intentions towards Mat.

Padre tries to convince Ren to relent and tell Abi the truth.  She also mentions her thoughts that it was Feisty who tried to kill her by leaving that chair on the stairs in hopes that she’d fall.  Padre brings up how badly Feisty’s brother’s tragic death has shadowed his life.  Ren asks if he knows the truth behind his death since Fausto has never let her discuss it.  He skirts around the subject saying the only thing he knows about her hubby is the number of women he’s had affairs with.  AS for Ren, Feisty could only get her into bed by raping her and that because of that she’s turned into an obsession with him.  He’s incapable of love, she says, and doesn’t know the meaning of the word.  He urges her to dig around and thinks she might be in for a surprise.

Feisty does show up after dinner—and with his white hat on!  He proposes that Ren and he have a child.  Don’t deny him and her chance to enjoy what she couldn’t all these years or doesn’t she want to have her own kid, one she could raise without hiding who the real mother is?  (Oh, do not let us down and listen to that old padre’s foolish ‘good will’ bunkum!)

Tía Mia wonders now what Di’s plans are.  Well, while Feisty is working on getting rich in his own way (I suppose, since that is what politics gets ya) she will be free to get it goin’ with Mateo without having to put up with Feisty’s jealous outbursts, for one, she tells her.  And, couldn’t it be that Feisty doesn’t leave his wife because he actually loves her?  Ha!  Says she.  Then they realize that Mat and his mom are due there for dinner that night.  Nothing, including her, is ready.  Better call to cancel and reset the date for the next night.

Di calls Ren’s place and Abi answers.  Who’s this?  His fiancee.  Abi pretends there’s a bad connection to give the bitch some overdue grief.  “--Guess it’s because I don’t speak Snake.”  “--Is this Abigail?”   “--Yup.”  The only snake is Abi, replies DeeDee.  Well, yeah, but you’re the most poisonous of the two then, answers Abi.

Mat has walked in on the phone call and asks Abi who she’s speaking to (as in “like that”).  “—With Dianaconda, your girlfriend!”  She hands him the phone and struts away, smiling.  (Gotta love that girl!)

Ren knows Feisty’s a brute and nuts and tells him a child is a product of love, not hate.  He grabs her head and tells her he isn’t interested in her opinion, and that he’s warning her she needs to have his kid.   Look, she says trying to be reasonable, she’s really too old to go that route now, anyway.  Not at all, he cajoles.  “--So, if I don’t you’re going to rape me again?”  “--Well, if that’s the only choice I have….”  “—Try that ever again and I will kill you!!”  “—I’d like to have a legitimate child.”  “—Oh, so you’re telling me that you have illegitimate ones scattered around these parts?  Answer me!”   Naw.  Why bother, she tells him.  “--I don’t doubt one tiny bit that that’s the case.  You’re such a revolting thing!” (Slime alert!)  He threatens her in a soft, lovers voice.  Best she do it willingly and be easy going and cooperative.  He wouldn’t want to…er… hurt her again.

--And, as we fade to sunset, Viewerville races to the shower.  Last one in's a dirty dawg!!!!!

In previous posts, many of you had strong opinions about 'Spoilers ' contained on the Wikipedia pages for telenovelas.

As an avid Wiki contributor, reader, and donor over the last several years, might I suggest to those of you who prefer not to read 'Spoilers', and that read Spanish, to read only the Wiki Spanish page for a novela of your interest.

I say this because I have noticed that this trend to post, what we might consider, 'Spoilers' on the telenovela Wiki pages mainly occurs ONLY on the Wiki English (not the Spanish) page for a particular telenovela.

It's as if a contributor (or contributors) to the English Wiki pages for novelas believes that a long, drawn-out, 'play-by-play', 'blow-by-blow' discussion within the 'Plot' section and a detailed description of exactly what happens to each character throughout the novela are necessary, what the reader(s) wants, who knows what else. (For example, whom they marry; whom they hate; whom they have affairs with; how many children, illegitimate or otherwise, they have; whom they murder; etc.)

As I frequently go back and forth for the entries of novelas I have watched previously, and between the English and Spanish Wiki pages, I have noticed that this trend has happened only over the past year or so. Moreover, the corresponding Wiki Spanish page has not been modified or expanded to match the English Wiki page. In fact, the Spanish and English versions are sometimes so different, one wonders if it's the same novela.

The 'Synopsis' section of the Spanish Wiki page for a novela usually is brief and the last sentence of the last paragraph frequently ends with a dangling question or plot point, making one anxious and wishing to watch the novela, IMO.

Wiki's policy allows for 'Spoilers', so if you prefer not to read 'Spoilers' , don't stray onto the English pages, instead go to the Spanish pages: not a guarantee but a better bet.

I write this because of the very assertive opinions expressed previously by many of you and as a possible aid to 'Spoiler' haters. Thank you for your time, if you read all of this.

Hmm this is quite interesting, Mat is actually the son of the Damned One. Gerardo appeared to share the scumbag traits of his Brother and Lucio Malfox has an yet another big curve on his ,i cannot believe he was a child when he first became a killer

I was so glad at Diego preventing the assasin of Di,i am already loving his courage and will! I completely hated how Di did not even care about the attempted murder, she even tried to escape together with Fausto but no sucess LOL and i thought Pablo from La Gata
was the Dumbest Bulb to ever hit Planet Earth!

I do not know whats the deal with He-Devil trying to impregnant Ren but i guess it has something to do with the secret plan,Di and He came up with. I almost Cringed because of that scene!

Victoria G: Good point, and really hadn't thought about it since I usually go straight to the Spanish anyway. I made the mistake of reading one in English and found the synopsis gave the entire plot away--even the exciting ending and I was pissed. Anywho, I gather that if we only read the first paragraph or two of Wiki whatevers, we can avoid it. Also, the cast descriptors in past have also given away much of the plot at times. When the Caray recap is written up we purposely avoid anything that may be considered spoilerish no matter where we pull it from. (One of the downers of being a recapper is we also have to read through them to know what not to translate!)

How long before Diana's incompetence runs her back to Fausto ?

I mean she's sleeping with him & all!

Thanks Jadinera, "cougar sisters" is exactlly what they are. Well, Di told her aunt that they had a plan for Fausto not to lose wealth by leaving Renata for her. She said it would take time, which is fine by her cause she can keep playing w Mateo and Fausto cant object because it would be a good cover to for their illicit affair. Win-win for Dianaconda ""(Abi's nickname for her). So it is obvious that by having a child w Renata they can get rid of her and the fortune goes to Fausto's hands by way of the childs inheritance. IMHO, that is where I think that is going. Wow, Fausto has women that loved him for ages. The only woman that does NOT love him is his wife!!!! I think it bugs him and he is intriged by Renata for that very reason. Who knows, the priest said he believes Fausto loves her in his own way. Because he knows he will never have her heart.

It was a Maury moment last night!

I don't know that I would take the Wiki spoilers for this show seriously because isn't this show being shown in the US first? So nobody over here actually knows what's going to happen in future episodes because nobody has seen the future episodes. So they can only spoil based on the original show, and those events may not even happen with this show.

I think this site's commenters have been pretty good about not spoiling shows. Since this show is being broadcast in the US first, there's really no way for us to know what's going to happen in the future except to watch the show.

I would think Fausto is trying to impregnate Renata so his child with Renata would inherit the hacienda, then he can bump off Renata, commit Connie and continue to enjoy the hacienda through his child.

Was Gerardo a scumbag? If he was he deserved to be since Helena decided to confess on their wedding day she was sleeping around with Fausto & carrying Fausto's child.

I need for the Thirsty Sisters to be exposed for their hypocrisy.

LOL @ Abi calling Diana "Dianaconda".

Jardinera- Thanks for part 1. It was a fabulous start! It was quite the start to the episode too.

I love how mischievous Abi and Diego are. From the trick of locking Di in the house, to burning the mattress, to now Diego sending Fausto's horse off, I like how creative these two are about standing their ground.

Diana is a NUT, but I wouldn't call her incompetent. She knows exactly what she's doing, and I think she really enjoys the danger of playing with two men, who are related, even knowing that one of them is capable of killing her. Tia Mia can now see that her niece is crazy, but she's the one who helped her get on the crazy train in the first place, so she can't say much now.

Would having a baby with Ren legitimize Fausto's claim on the hacienda? Once again, the details of Bruno's will about who gets the hacienda and how allude me. If Ren wasn't motivated to leave or kick him out before now, having Fausto threaten her with rape if she doesn't have sex with him and give him a baby would be more than enough motivation for me! Maybe that's what he's trying to make her do. Leave, so that he can bring Diana into the hacienda as his mujer. Anyway, I can't wait to see how Renata reacts to this.

I wanted to tell the priest to shut up though, when he tried to convince Renata that Fausto loves her, in his own way, despite his ill treatment and the rape. Just go away Padre.

I am glad that we finally know what we suspected, that Mateo is Fausto's kid. And we get some juicy back story with it too! Amanda was cheating on her fiance with his younger bro, Fausto! And teen Lucio is the one who offed him! Now we know why there is such a strange bond between Lucio and Fausto.

Anon207 and Novella Lover- Yep. I was thinking Fausto's plan was inheritance through his child too, then no need for Renata anymore.

Jardinera, simply splendid.

"...leaving the crusty old homicidal maniac to hoof it home on his own--muy bad mojo' and "She gets out, lays a large (and death-defying) lip-lock on her homicidal homeboy, and tells him she’s back despite all because she truly loves him" were among my many favorites.

Does Diana realize that murder is not a foreign notion to Fausto? She is way out of her league thinking she can manipulate him as she does Mateo.

While we knew Mat was Fausto's son, what transpired on Helena's wedding day was quite a revelation. Lucio is one of the most tormented souls I've seen in a while. Overtly cruel, there is still a seed of guilt, of conscience that he cannot deny. The actor is riveting...

Poor Renata. As you so rightly noted Novella Lover, Fausto (unfathomly) is loved by many except his wife!

Vivi, I was so disappointed in the good Padre! Color me completely disillusioned. Blech.

This was fantastic.

Diana

Did Lucio kill Gerardo or just see Fausto kill him?

Just read Part 2. What a fantastic retelling of Amanda's story! You're on fire, Jardinera!

Victoria- Young Lucio killed him on Fausto's orders.

Vivi, no wonder Lucio is such a conflicted soul. However, Fausto is just plain bad, rotten, but not conflicted, IMO.

Oops! Her name was Amanda in Amor Bravio. I meant a fantastic retelling of Helena's story! And now I've read part 3. Yes, Dianaconda was my faorite. :) That Abi.

I hope Abi quickly identifies who stole her money and gets it back.

Dianaconda...Priceless! And she didn't care saying it to Mateo's face.

I knew Mateo was Fausto's son. Helena had already kinda given it away with the way she worries about Mateo every time he said he had a conversation with Fausto. I wonder how Mateo will find out.

Interesting how Lucio couldn't follow the order of killing Pablo, but he killed Gerardo on order. And quite interesting how he was remembering that day he killed Gerardo after Helena recounted the story.

Diana is playing with fire. She will be lucky if Fausto doesn't try again.

Thanks, Jardinera.I will not get a chance to watch this episode until this evening.

I am confused. Did Feisty only rape Ren that one time and then Nada ?

I cannot believe that Diana returned to Feisty after he violently attacked her would have drowned her if Diego had not shown up. Diana is a dope. I might be able to buy her obsession with Feisty if he had money, but he is broke. What is the attraction? According to Hellena's confession' Feisty was a randy young dude. Bleeecchhh. Fifty shades of the Feistmeister indeed.

TF- They were channeling Mateo being Fausto's kid pretty hard, so no surprise to anyone. But the full story of how it was went down was pretty intense.

The other suspected spawn of Fausto is Diego. His grandma reacts the same way as Helena did every time she hears Diego had a run-in with Fausto.

As for the other theories about Fausto spawn, I think we can put those to bed. We know Fausto was young when he knocked boots with Helena and Lucio was a teen. Fausto is NOT old enough to be his daddy. And I get the impression that well respected Simona is a widow and that's where her two sons come from. Plus, in addition to Renata and Abi, she seems to be the only woman in the town totally grossed out by Fausto.

Susanlynn- Yep. It was just the once. But once is enough. I'm not buying what Padre is selling about that not being such a horrible thing and that Fausto really loves Ren, "in his own way".

A hate watching women being abused in these novelas. Ren has never forgiven her abuser, but Delusional Diana just keeps smirking and coming back for more rough treatment...masochistic much ? She seems to enjoy the dangerous game she is playing . Mat is clueless.

I would much rather see Abi end up with Dashing Diego than Clueless Mat. Diego has shown himself to be loyal protective, brave, and clever. i think that Diego and Abi would be a dynamic duo running the hacienda. It would be a nice twist if the leading man did not end up with the leading lady.

Macaria keeps getting on Abi's case for getting it on with Diego (she presumes) because he is a mere, lowly peon, AND getting on her case for mooning after Mateo because he is too high born for her. So, just who should Abi be with? Who is neither too low born, nor too high born? We all know of course that Mac just wants to torment Abi, no matter what, or whom she dates. But if I were Abi I'd be asking what her problem is.

You're right, Vivi. I wouldn't be surprised either if Diego is also Fausto's son. Susanlynn, I think Diego needs a love interest other than Abi.

As for the spoilers on Wiki, as Count said previously it was word for word the summary of Abrazame. I never saw Abrazame so I don't know if there's a guarantee that the events of QTPD will play out exactly like in Abrazame.

Susanlynn, I like Mat but yes, would much prefer Abi with Diego.

The only TN that broke with tradition and had the lead end up with bachelor #2 was Querida Enemiga. But, of course there were extenuating circumstances such as galan #1 (Gabe Soto) being with the lead's bestie while they were having relationship issues.

Mat seems pretty darn perfect so I'm going to assume the writing is on the wall. I would love to be proven wrong!

Diana

Thank you Jar for your marveleous skills,I am very impressed and i am glad you joined our team! Well it seems it will be quite an explosive episode to take on tommorow ,i cannot wait!

And yes Diana is quite machohistic ,she felt the danger on her own skin ,yet she still cannot break hold of him ,its like Sergio Goyri is our new version of William Levy! I find her more crazier than BMaria from Robo,.

Now that more shreds of Luc's past has been revealed,i am even more anxious to see his wife! And i have to give props to all of the actors, they are doing a very good job while not being overbearing.

And as the rest of you ,i loved the Dianaconda part ,is Zuria a Caray Caray reader,We are the only ones who would give nicknames of that quality!

And i wanted to share the news that tommorow i will be writing much earlier,we have school vacations for a week so i will have time all day !

Diana, don't forget "La Esposa Virgen" and "Ramona" with unconventional endings.

Have telenovelas always had a tendency to have plot lines with abused women ? I find the martial abuse and verbal and physical abuse disconcerting.

Is Fausto's hat still in the bushes?

It's team Diego and Abi for me.

I'm afraid for Renata. Fausto would kill her in a minute after he gets what he wants. Evil bastard.

Thank you Jardinera
the gringo

WTH doesn't Renata lock her freaking door ??

I almost forgot to comment about Fausto and Ren. It amazes me if Diana really gave Feisty the idea to convince Ren to have a kid with him. That's just weird. Desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess. I wonder what Di's reaction will be when she finds out she's playing with father and son. Again, that'll be weird.

Mateo has absolutely NO IDEA that Diana is playing him for a fool!

Shaking my head!

Has there ever been a TN, where the leading man doesn't get the leading lady in the end before?

I think that the actor playing Fausto's brother in the flashback is the same guy playing Dr. Vest in LA Gata.

Steve..Yes, in Querida Enemiga, the viewers did not like the galan and were thrilled when the hot chef got the leading lady.

Susanlynn- Yes. That's Ricardo Franco. He's also currently in Quiero Amarte.

Steve- See Diana's and Victoria's comments above about tns that broke that convention. The only one of those I saw was Querida Enemiga and I LOVED that the heroine chose Galan #2.

Steve:

See my comment above to Diana at 3:14 pm EST.

I hated the ending for LEV. It starred Jorge Salinas, Sergio Sendel (from LQLVMR), and the very talented Adela Noreiga. I haven't seen Ramona.

I think Urban has these two novelas and Querida Enemiga listed as having "unconventional" endings.

I miss Adela . She is one of my favorite tn actresses.Has she stopped acting ?

Really, Mateo has done nothing bad to Abi to knock him out of contention for her heart. If anything, he's doing Diana wrong, who has been his girlfriend for a year, by having these developing feelings for Abi. He's just blind to Diana's duplicity and refuses to listen to "malicious gossip" about her. But since he's only dealt with her sweet self outside of the pueblo, he hasn't seen any of this stuff with his own eyes.

When Feisty was trying to talk Ren into having his baby, I kept wondering how to say ''When pigs fly" in Spanish.

LaRamada is not next door to Renatas hacienda, I believe it is a couple of hours away. In fact, thats why Abi isnt eager to move there because she wont get to see her madrina as often. But early on, in the beginning of story, Diego and Mateo were young best friends. I was under impression that they lived at same place or next door neighbors, does anyone remember that? If Helene and Mateo always lived at LaRamada how did the two young boys bond??

Novella Lover- Actually I think they are close to each other because Lucio and Fausto saw the smoke from the mattress fire, and Diego was able to ride his horse fairly quickly between both haciendas to get Abi to catch Di and Fausto. I think both are large hacienda, so there is a lot of land in between.

From what I remember they said in one episode that it was 20 minutes away. That's why they can ride horses back and forth

Jardinera, thanks for the fun. I enjoyed every word.

So two women have been pining for Fausto all these years. I'm disappointed in Helena cause I thought she had more class. And the dummy probably never had sex with anyone again. Come to think of it, Macaria probably never had sex with anyone other than Fausto either. That's just wrong.

Does Fausto not realize Mateo is his?

Oversexed!!!!

Thanks ti Vivi and Victoria for clarifying the distance between Haciendas. I thought LaRamada was in Cuidad Valle, which is where Matei took Abi and helena to lunch. Niece, yes, that is sad that probably Mac nor Helena have been with anyone else. Could he be that good in the sackaroo? I bet Helena never told Faurto that she got pregnant and he assumed (to his convinience) that Helena was impregnated by his brother. Diana just thinks she just thinks she is sooooo slick, surely that will lead to her demise. She's even freaking out her Aunt Mia.

In regards to Ricardo Franco, here's a treat for you ladies out there:

Talk about 'jaw-droppingly HOT'!!!

Jardinera, loved your delicious and detailed account of our traumatized cast.

Fausto may be El Grande studmuffin, but he is looking a littled grizzled and worn. Lucio is doing a good job with his stressed-out story.

So angry that Macaria stole Abi's money for the ranch.

Jardinera! I skimmed your recap real fast earlier. Now I am rereading again a bit slower, and I am laughing so hard. You are hysterical, I'm referring to pt 2, during Elena's confession. Fausto a "babe magnate"....."his sexiness was too overwhelming"....the way she couldn't stop blabbing about him to Geraldo, the whole scenario you wrote is so funny. I havent laughed so hard since I read Kennedy's post mortem pulitzer priize winner "Confederacy of Dunces." i needed that, laughter is best medicine. I bet Sergio is just loving his role so much, he thinking he the man. Thank you so much.

Oh and also "It's fifty shades of Elena." Wickedly funny.
