Tia Mia reminds Di of her poor cooking skills, she cannot even do a soup! Di wishes to call Mat to cancel her "appointment" but unfortunately she contacts the worst person possible Abi which has the phone in her possession . Di introduces herself as Diana Monstero but Abi doesnt speak Slytherin! Di exclaims that Abi is the snake while Mat comes up and Abi says Dianaconda called again as Gullible Mat answers it.
Fausto is still bugging Ren about having a child . Either she will be his by her own Will or he will have to hurt her again,you pick , as he leaves . (Would you mind if i sneeze on this scene , im having a Cold ,Achoo! ) Ren righteously calls him Crazy two times ! (Isnt this the perfect opportunity to leave, what is up with you Sweetie? )
Bea syndrome finally has found a cure (Merged scene)
Helena and Dear Padre are chatting in the office. Ele informs him that Mat is coming to pick her up to eat at Casa Monstero. Padre mumbles that so it was in this office that Gerardo lost his life .Ele says yes and expresses her worry that Abi is falling for Mat while Mat is also hooking up on her . Padre disagrees , he would rather see him with someone like Abi than with Di. Ele anxiously says that it cannot be,Abi and Mat share the same blood,they are both Feasty"s spawns. Padre chides on her BS, she herself was at the funeral and at the mass but Ele says it was a trap cause Mac at a young age came to the House,admitting that the Baby is Feasty"s . Padre says that while he carries lots of secrets from confessions, she should know to be secure at his Rightness ,Abi is not the daughter of Fausto Lopez Guerra,punto!
Mat finally came to his mom as she greets him .He informs her that there will be no dinner. Ele is visibly disappointed but Mat assures her that the invitation is tomorrow . Ele apologizes for the argument they had on the street. Mat replies that there is no need cause she was right, I should not look on Abi more than a sister,besides he is already busy with Diana. Well Ele have been thinking ,she finds Abi more appropriate than that woman. Mat is not pleased,how come Ele is able to shift her opinion so fast? (I advise you Mate, buy a ducktape before it is not too late for your ears!). Ele replies that its human nature to make errors. Mat repeats that He is with Di ,besides Abi is with Diego end of story !
But what would be if Abi was not interested in Diego and is in love with you,would it change anything?
Mat wants to know why the question and Ele says cause he is too rash with his decision ,especially because You are not even 100 % sure. of your emotions. Mat guesses that someone has been throwing crap about Di. Ele whines that it"s not good to give in your heart so fast,it hurts a lot . But weren"t you happy with my Dad,drops the eagerly Stink Bombing Mat. Ele says that they are not talking about Dad,its about Him ,besides Abi told me Di is not a good choice anyway! Mat is in denial as Ele drops the final nail in the coffin :She is in love with you!
Ah ,if only the door"s had brains ! (Merged scene)
Ren is wondering almost naked around the bedroom and suddenly decides to lock the door down( You"re 2 decades too late!) and block it with a drawer and lies down . But Faucet already comes with the keys as Ren"s attention spins up ,avoiding the He-Devil who is gladly stuck by the drawer. He gleefully promises that while today was not the night ,he will take her as many times as it takes to make her Spawns !
Achoo!
The River of Misfortunes is at it again (Merged Scene)
Ren and Pat are at the River again,she is more than happy. The place makes her free. Pat is glad to have been able to give that experience . Ren laments that she was once a girl that never lacked a thing,atleast that is what she thought until life had completely changed me and turned me into this lackluster,dull woman. Pat tries to correct her but Ren rants some more that she feels like a wounded ,trapped animal that cannot escape the cage. Pat would love to cure her wounds( If you have a 9mm ,be my guest!) ,she can still find love. Ren says that while he is an amazing doctor,there are wounds that cannot simply be healed. But its too late for me, i cannot afford to live by dreams and hopes anymore ,it took me so much time to adjust to the tragedy of my Shitty life. Padre even began advising me on how to save my Happy Marriage from Hell. Pat asks if its possible and Ren says NO! It pains her so much that she will have to stay with Fausto until her last breath :(
Pat is sure that she is wrong ,Ren can still find love but Ren rants some more as the Padre said the most ridiculous thing ever to me ! Pat asks what. Ren replies that he implied that Fausto LOVES me but in his way. Oblivious Pat somehow agrees with the Silly Padre ,does not she feel anything for him? Disdain,contempt and a hate immense that will end up destroying us both, that is all she feels for him! Ren begs Pat to not go anywhere but Pat has to go to the Hospital soon but asks why should he stay? Ren says that his presence makes her fell more secure.
I need a bucket ASAP (Merged scene)
Lucio Malfox on horse is informing Fausto that he obeyed his orders ,he was playing more difficult with Mac but he doubts it will work,women are capable of selling their souls to the Devil if necessary .
Fausto says that she knows that He is not an easy enemy so she is in need of allies. You should gain her trust so we could get the location on the gun. Faucet also advises Luc to tell Mac some nasty secret like the murder of my Brother to make sure Mac feels that he is capable of betrayal. Luc is highly against that,if Mac came to know that ,she would be racing towards death but Faucet says that after He finds the gun,her days are counted anyway! He races away with his horse.
Fausto has finally arrived to the hacienda but Luc interrupts him with the news that Ren and Pat were riding on horses again. Fausto says whats the matter in that . Well as You ordered ,I have rented the wildest horse for Pat ,I hope he knows how to ride her ,boasts Luc. Fausto is glad that The Dog is learning new tricks !
If i dont get Fish,she will not either!
Back at their Camp House, Mac is surprised to encounter Abi there ,isnt she supposed to be with Ren ? Abi says that she"s not there ,Ren went to ride with Dr.Duarte . Mac taunts with the thought that the Blind rode with a horse,I wanted to be there ! Abi wonders why does she never say anything positive about Ren?
Mac does not care, they are probably trash talking behind the back as well but its not true, Ren always speaks of you in gratefulness and respect. Mac is feigning sarcasm ,the Ren she knows has always been wondering around with men . Well I am glad that she is finally finding love again,i would love for her to abandon Fausto forever replies Abi . Mac says thats Mission Impossible as Abi asks her how is it possible for her to love a man like that? Mac says that she likes him but hates him with all her heart. Abi,righteously decides to abandon her luck for the day to spare herself the torture (You are such a good girl!) . Mac later promises to herself that since Ren stole Rat"s happiness ,so shall She ruin hers!
Mom,see me in a Flash!
Mat greets Diego at the Ramada and Diego tells that if he is looking for Abi,she"s not here . Well i am not looking for Abi,says Mat. I came for my mum . Mat asks the seven-trillion worth question "Do you have anything to do with Abi"? Diego responds that he is in love with her but she is not interested . Mat lets Diego do his things and he leaves . Mom Ele comes to greet him but Mat has bad news for her: "Could you go to the lunch without me? , I will not take long!" . Ele says if it"s really that urgent and he says yes, he will take care that they bring the Car .
The Marks of a Parasite
Teodora finally hits the Monstero"s with ingredients . Tia chides her lateness and i think Teo says there was a jam or something ( I did not understand it,besides the scene was quite irrelevant) . Di says that she better bought it all. Teo confirms,she has everything but for who are they cooking for? Di says that does not matter and she should be careful with her tongue,no one must know that Di cannot cook! Tia responds with a laugh.( I am actually starting to like Di but ah if only she used her Grey Cells!)
Need Moar LSD (Merged scene)
Now moving to the more relevant scene , Lucio Malfox comes to visit Eli -Ton (I removed the M for giggles,sorry Eli ,i could not resist but your pet is so adorable !) , he needs something for his head. El thinks he still had some stockings of Crack but he cannot give them unfortunately , Luc will have to wait . Luc says that he need"s it, he always has something . El says that something big ust be tormenting him that he cannot sleep at night ,when did he come for Medicine the last time? Luc came ages ago,he says. El wises that what he needs is not LSD but to talk to someone ,to purify himself. He is destroying himself and that is the exact reason why he lost his wife and son. Luc says that she has married some rich guy who owns firms and many other stuff . El says that he did not even manage to see his son grow, does he not miss him? Luc replies that he has a new father and he loves him. El informs Luc that the medicine will be ready by moon.
Luc ,in a public phone calls his son Max. He is informed that Max ( We do not hear a voiceover of any kind btw so chill dear fans!) has just got a new car and Luc congratulates him. He wishes to talk with Max"s mom but she is on vacation says Max . Luc displays that Geography was never his strong point and messes Europe with some Village! He hopes that she is having fun and drops the phone ,visibly angered .
The embarrassment is just beautiful (Merged scene)
Tia Mia and Di finally welcome Helena to the House Monstero and Di is curious about where Mat is,did he not come with you . Ele delivers the Best News Ever : He did not come with me but he is soon! Di asks where he went and Ele has no clue !
Moments later, Tia Mia and Di are wasting Ele"s precious time by watching a Flick together . It turns out Tia Mia was a very good actress , i think she should apply for the role of Female Thor! . Anyway ,Ele compliments her acting while Teo says the story was very touching ,a woman in love with a worker while trying to steal the BF of her stepdaughter! Di says that she always says the same and cries the same,she has seen it many times. Teo wishes that Di would learn the same lesson and Di tells her to shut it ,she should instead go check on the food or something . Teo says its all ready ,she only needs to know when to serve and Tia invites them to watch her death (Let me guess ,Stung by VoldyConda?) if they would like it but Di and Ele will be in the Hall ,they would meet much better there . Ele apologizes for the missing Mateo but Di does not want any worries.

Abi is at a Beautiful, Beautiful River of her own and is enjoying it a lot but Mat lurks behind and spooks her so bad that Abi actually pretends that she tosses him down the cliff LOL. Gladly nothing bad happens and both take a Good Swim (Its not Riding Time,Yet!)
Abi and Mat discuss his trip in Canada and compare it to this place . Mat loved the Niagara Falls ,the climate was so different . But Abi says that she would not trade it for this River ,it became her favorite place,she even read the letters he has been sending Her here . She hoped she being thinked of . Mat says that he thinked of her and Yes, he missed her , Aunt Ren and Uncle Fausto. Mat asks the close -eyed Abi if she is in love with him. But instead of answering with Truth ,she refuses to answer him ,why does he need to know? Mat needs it because of the anxiety ,he cannot let it go. And if I told you ,what would you do? Would you leave DianaConda and let her find someone else? Mat asks why does she call her like that (Because she maybe reads Caray Caray? ) . Abi says its deserved because she is a two faced snake!
Mat thinks she is just jealous and why is she talking behind his back? Abi plays French and Mat taunts her memory ,it was you that talked to my Mother ! Abi admits it,yes she talked to her but she"s taking it back.
Mat pleads Abi to not be so rude with her ,she is a nice person . Abi says that"s nice ,here is your beautiful DianaConda ,you are marrying! I could tell many things about Her but the sad thing is that Gullible Mat would not believe her . Mat says they are not there to talk about Di ,they are talking about Abi. He grabs her and taunts her with a kiss,would she feel anything? Abi warns him that if he dares it,he will receive the Slap that should have been given Last Time for all the people to see! He actually does it and he gets his "reward" as Abi runs away ,with him going after her,naked !
Riding is a funny thing (Merged scene)
Ren and Pat are still at the River of Misfortunes . Ren asks Pat on his lack of a partner and if he still loves his wife and Pat answers that it is because he became invested in his work and did not think about it. As for his wife ,he never dared to ask himself that question,Ximena and I have long divorced. She hates me for killing our child and it is understandable because i also hate myself.
Pat and Ren are now on their horses and Pat is enjoying the scenery .Ren says that she has the place in her Memory. Pat admires her sensibility but something goes wrong . His horse starts acting up and has Dementia ( Or it is the new costume of Bitch Maria for April Fools ,who knows?! ) . The beast tosses Pat down and everything goes in silence as Ren moans and demands Bonito to lead to Pat as she mounts down. She almost hick-points at Pat who is now enjoying his 5 Minutes of Sean Bean -like Glory and instructs Bonito to race to her house !
Mat,who is chasing Abi with the horse ,sees Bonito riding alone ( If this was La Gata ,That Horse would be the smartest character in the whole Show but in my opinion, I think that Cat had more braincells than anyone!) . He chases the horse, realizing its Ren"s horse and see"s the injured Pat. Ren exclaims he neeeds medical attention and Pat later wakes up as Ren moans its her fault . Pat consoles her, it"s his fault,he never knew how to ride that horse anyway. Mat wishes to know what kind of horse he rode and Pat says it was a horse with white legs and was brown. Mat says that they need to investigate ,cause that was the most dangerous horse,not even the workers ride it ! Anyway Mat tries to put Pat up but he groans ,he says that things will get took care of
Later,Pat is now hospitalized . Pat says that they should not worry,it was just a scare . Ren replies that it was not a scare ,he broke his leg. Well that just means i will have to use the crutches for a few weeks,wises Pat! Mat asks Pat on who gave him the horse, was it the foremen? Pat says that it was just a worker and does not remember his name,besides he does not want to cause more problems. Mat changes the subject but before that ,he finally decides to talk with Ren unformalized . He wants to study Neurosurgery and as soon as he finishes his studies ,he wishes to operate on her to recover her sight. Pat is very impressed at this.
You just cannot let a good food go to waste !
Di has just finished her call to the hacienda, Mateo has the 404 Error aka Please Cum Next Decade Error . Ele apoligizes again but Di is very humble with food and still wants them all to go eat , she does not even care that Mat is not around ,we cannot let food go to the Bins ! She strikes the table with her Fork to call for Teo the Master Degree Cook ( The only thing Di is capable of doing is gifting the Sandwiches to the Poor!) .
Where to put votes?
Simona is in the Wonder Town,introducing herself ,she lives in this place and is very glad for the support! Everyone is rooting for her ,even her two sons and some shady guy with a stick. Sim picks up the heat saying that caring for the people is her biggest obligation !( Please,turn her President already ,she could save America!)
Better win lottery next time !
Abi is just around,going into her bedroom and forcing herself to forget that BS kiss ,she has the hacienda to run! She lurks for her money but the Empty Bed reports a 404 Error ,No Dinero Found! .Abi is pithed and goes to rant to her mother ,she cannot believe Grandmas money was lost ,it was so much of Pesos! Mac wants to know from where grandma got so much money,she has surely lost the money . Abi says they were Amie"s savings and she did not lost it,she hid it well, Abi aint stupid. Mat exlaims that she should give the papers to her as well . Abi claims that no one else goes to her bedroom! Mac says they should call Fausto for help but Abi wants none of it . Mac pretends that maybe Fausto stole it, we know well that he is capable of everything ! Mac taunts her that crying this much is not a good thing..
The crying shame
Ren and Pat are now at the room,She thinks that his injury will force him to stay for a few days but Pat disagrees, he has thought about it and He is leaving soon,the Hospital cannot wait. Ren notices the grief in his voice and she asks him again ,Pat should know that she is going to be affected by his absence.
Ah,the awkwardness
Abi is still despairing about the money but Diego The Strong is now in the house and assures her its going to be fine ,he has been investigating. ,they will need to ask the Greedy Bank"s for a loan and they will need to put it on hipoteque . Abi is scared of that word,she is not sure . Diego says that the place has many hectares and they need workers to survive it but i promise you this,in one year we will annihilate the debt . Abi asks herself what would she do without him ,he is the best of Friends . Diego sees her strange looks and Abi asks why hasn't she fallen for him? Diego replies sobly that she knows well that he would do anything for her ,even give his life and nears for a kiss . At that time Mat comes and Abi kisses Diego on mouth ,with a single tear being shed ,leaving Mat in the dirt!

I was happy that Abi toyed with Mateo and didn't give him the satisfaction of telling him that she loves him straight out. Get rid of your girlfriend first, buddy! But I was NOT happy with how she gave Diego that ongoing kiss, just to get Mat's goat. Diego doesn't deserve to be toyed with that way. She knows how deeply in love with her he is.
After he ticked me off with his marriage advice to Ren last episode, Padre gained some points by telling Helena that Abi is not, I repeat, is NOT Fausto's child. Now Helena doesn't have to worry about the incest thing and is free to be Abi's champion with Mateo. I also think she did not like what she saw of Dianaconda's and Mia's personalities at their house. The dismissive way Di treated the maid especially gave her pause.
Will Ren realize that what she's feeling for the doc is more than friendship? Fausto and Lucio's trick with the dangerous horse might have backfired by making Ren yearn for Pat more.

How funny that Tia Mia is a once famous, now washed up telenovela star. That scene forcing poor Elena to watch her telenovela highlights video was hilarious, with Mia getting more drunk by the second, and Teodora the maid 100% sucked into watching the tn scene and crying, although she's seen it so often. The look on Helena's face- what have I gotten myself into; where are you, Mateo?
Vivi, you are so right. I cringed when Abi smooched with Diego, especially as his sweet face showed so much love and emotion to make Mateo jealous. I love everything about Abi, but was disappointed in her because she is well aware how Diego feels about her. I am certain she will quickly realize and regret getting his hopes up. Yup, Elena saw just a little bit of Anaconda's true colors. My friend lives in San Miguel and says several telenovela stars live or own side businesses there. So Tia living there after her retirement makes sense. I am so relieved Elena found out that Abe/Mateo no shared blood. Still recovering from laughing so hard at Jardinera's Recap of Helenas confession yesterday. I cant wait for Counts today.

I was disgusted by Fausto and Lucio ,they seem to glee at pain like its nothing. I did not feel bad for Luc this night ,he deserves everything he sows!
I laughed when Tia and Di had to bore Helena with movies ,i also liked how Di did not let the food go to waste,a common Perra would have thrown it to the dogs already! She seems to have a bit of respect for Teodora which is a nice touch.

Diana dis not endear herself to Helena did she? I had to chuckle at Helena's discomfort. I cringed at the way she hit her glass noisy with her fork angrily barking for Teo to serve dinner. Helena was clearly uncomfortable.
I hadn't seen the actress playing Tia Mia before and am enjoying her here. How nice she has footage to relive and revel in. She is a very good looking woman. So, when is her jailbird son, Fabian showing up?
The storyline of Fausto determined to force Renata to get pregnant is sickening. The dresser may have worked last night but I would suggest she keep a pistol close at hand.
And I was also rejoicing with both of you that the Padre said in no uncertain terms Abi is not Fausto's. That could have been another dreadful side plot that has now hopefully been derailed.

Steve- Renata was a girl of about 18-20 (although she was played by a near 40 year old) 18 years ago. That makes her barely between 36-38 now (even though she's being played by a near 60 year old). Plenty young enough to have a baby.

ITA that it is bad casting putting in a woman as old as that actress is to play the part of a woman who really is closer to Iran Castillo's true age. It hurts the credibility--and tn's have enough credibility problems as it is, don't we know.....
I haven't had a chance to read every comment so I don't know if someone has answered this question or not, but in regards to Fausto knowing or not knowing about Mateo being his son,
when Helena was confessing to her priest about her affair with Fausto's brother, she said that Fausto knew about her pregnancy and prohibited her from telling anyone. This is why Fausto paid for Mateo's education and Mateo and Helena lived with Fausto and their expenses paid.

BTW, did y'all realize that Mat's age is no long in question. He's about 10 1/2 to 11 years older than Abi per Hellie's confession.
The flashback for Helena's memory said 28 years ago. Add about 7 more months for her pregnancy and Mat's birth, that makes him 9-10 years older than 18 year old Abi.

You may be right and then Feisty'd have to be "keeping up appearances" as you'd suggested and the farce that Mat's his nephew. That is, unless he thought that Gerry had been kanoodling with her as well. IMO he must have thought so. I mean, Feisty had her and it might have been due to Feisty's own personal competition with his big bro seducing his fiancee like that. Then perhaps to his and the small town's way of thinking, if a woman would sleep with you, then she would sleep around with other men also, ala the gossip about Mac who confessed to Ren he was her only lover.

I mean, Feisty had her and it might have been due to Feisty's own personal competition with his big bro seducing his fiancee like that. Then perhaps to his and the small town's way of thinking, if a woman would sleep with you, then she would sleep around with other men also, ala the gossip about Mac who confessed to Ren he was her only lover.
In addition to Abi using Diego to make Mat jealous, the other thing that shocked me this episode was finding out Lucio is still in touch with his son, Max. When will we meet Max (who has grown up with a rich stepdaddy) and the ex-wife, I wonder?
And will they give Lucio a few more grey hairs to go along with being the father of a 20 something son?
Well, Alejandro Avila (Lucio) is 51 in real life. Definitely capable of being the father of a 20-something. I thought I heard him say an episode or two back that Max is 18? Someone who was paying attention can confirm.
I actually do not mind the ages of Ren and Fausto ,SG is 56 and RJ is 60 ,i never knew RJ was so old but i do not really care about the age differences :)
Fabulous Part 1 Count. "The River of Misfortunes" and "Fausto is glad that The Dog is learning new tricks" were among my favorites.

I am rolling my eyes in that Renata would stay one more minute in the house with Fausto's open threat. I would leave with the clothes on my back, grabbing my daughter on the way out...Unfortunately, she and we have to endure this reprehensible plot line.
Also very curious about Lucio's son - he was quite emotional during their phone conversation.
Still a lot of characters waiting in the wings to appear.

I don't mind Rebecca Jones' real age either. Older men play young men all the time (while very young women usually play older). What is jarring for me is that the character is supposed to be around my age, even a bit younger! And RJ looks like my mom. (Who looks great and beautiful.)
You all know I am already scratching my head about why Ren stays. Even more so now that she has the daily and open threat of rape hanging over her head, and her rapist has keys to her room! Why, just why?!
The other thing that had me asking why, is Macaria's behavior. Doesn't she understand that if Abi gets Enramada off the ground, Abi would become a rich hacienda owner. They would eventually move into the hacienda, with Abi as the Patrona, and Mac would be the well respected mama of La Patrona. It's a win-win situation for her if Abi succeeds. Does Mac really want to be a maid in Fausto and Ren's hacienda the rest of her life?

Vivi...I agree on both counts. Ren should run. Perhaps Mac is not the sharpest pencil in the case. She is cutting off her nose to spite her face as my mother used to say. She evidently is a short term thinker. She wants that cash now instead of thinking about the longterm good it would do all of them by investing it in the ranch. Dumb bunny.

It would have made more sense if Iran C. Had been cast to play the older version of Ren and a younger actress had been used to portray teen Renata. very odd.

What they should have done was make it a 25-28 year time jump (not 18 years). Abi comes back to town after successfully studying and getting her doctorate degree in Mexico City, all paid for by her "madrina." Mateo should have started out as a 5 year old boy, and he comes back from Canada an early-30s successful doctor, ready to fulfill his little boy promise of one day curing his tia Renata. Mateo has already been back a year, helping people in the local clinics and hospitals. He meets Di, they start dating, same story. He and Abi have been writing/emailing/speaking by phone all these years as friends (same story). Abi comes back to the hacienda, and instead of the big party being for her 18th b-day, it is a party to welcome her home and celebrate the successful completion of her studies and academic success. As for the actors ,they seem fine by me . I think they picked Ms Jones because she can display emotions without being too overbearing on us while also being able to act tough. I did not like Iran much ,she was too fragile .

Tn4 ,the Sean Bean References are because Rene Stickler has died atleast twice in a novela and i doubt he will live much long on La Sombra! So he is like a mini mini Sean Bean! to me :)
I didn't mind the first Renata actress being fragile. The story would've been even more ludicrous had young Renata been a spitfire (like Abi).
Nobody would believe for one second that a fiesty, spitfire Renata would've stuck around and not escaped with baby Abi.

I'm surprised that Abi didn't suspect her mother of maybe taking the money. It seems to me that Abi and Mac do not really get along all that well. And the way Mac grabbed the deed out of her hands showed to me how grabby she is and mercenary. If I were Abi I think she would come to my mind, that maybe she snoops around. After all, it wasn't hard to find.

All of these family trees are driving me crazy. I have decided to just pay attention to the main characters and now Diana (not Dianaconda)tells us that there are a lot of more people waiting in the wings. Oh No! We will be dealing with half of the town before long.

Yes I think that the kiss that Abi gave to Diego when clearly she didn't mean it was cruel. Poor guy. I would be going sleepless for a week if that were me receiving that kiss. I don't think that women actually realize how much it hurts the innocent guy when they try to make another person jealous. I'm still Abi/Diego though. Right, Mark Thatcher has the main lead but I think that Diego would be a better catch for Abi.
Why didn't Renata start screaming when evil dog pushed open the door? Screams would have alerted others in the house.

I guess I didn't know that Sean usually dies, but I found this on Wikipedia: "his role in Patriot Games was the first of several villains that he would portray, all of whom die in gruesome ways." Ah, I get it now! Yeah, I have to agree with you, Doc is in Fausto's crosshairs, so that fall from the horse may indeed have been some warm-up Sean Bean-like glory! I thought it was hilarious the other night when Fausto asked him, "And when might you be getting the hell out of my house?"
