Mi Corazon Es Tuyo #162 Wedding #2 and Baby #9
Labels: mcet
I'm like you, the time lapse thing confused the begeezes out of me. I didn't know what they were doing until it ended. Poorly done on their part.
So Fer has finally come around, just took longer than I thought.
I guess Angel served his purpose and drove Fer to the edge.
What is up with this doctor?? He just grabs her and kiss her?? Are you kidding me?? You can't be friends after that, she needs to cut him off completely. Time for a new doctor. Also his reponse to getting punched was too tame. Are his feelings completely confused? He falls in love on a whim, yet isn't angry about getting punched twice?
I like when Fer assumed that Ana was going to ask him to dance and asked Bruno. I thought that whole sequence was funny, along with Ana telling Jenny to basically "get the hell out of her, I want Fer to help me, leave me alone!" Hopefully he apologizes to her for how's he was behaving.
Now, will Yolanda tell him DN is not his child? I think so.
J&J put Fer down as a witness on their license, guess when Ana and Fer were still together, and couldn't change it. So he had to be there.
I don't mind Ana being pregnant but I didn't want it to be the reason they got back together. Fer is softening but he still hasn't forgiven her or apologized for his bad behaviour. Wouldn't he just be repeating the same thing he did with Isa? Marrying bc "right" thing to do?
So Xime wants to be the perfect home maker. Ugh!
So three weeks have passed and Freaky hasn't been able to penetrate the security....has to be coming soon now though.
Is Yomama really worried abt Fer? She should be worried abt what happens to the baby if he does find out.
"Wow, Ana, this man is psycho."
Bryan, I agree with you, how does Ana think she and Angel can be buddies?
I'm disappointed this late in the show and we get a misunderstanding, a jealous fight and a pregnancy. Couldn't the writers do better than this?
So, everybody is happy Fernando got jealous and punched a guy, when Leon did the same Fanny dumped him for Lenin. Maybe I'm just too stupid to understand.
That whole show last night was dedicated to Juan and I guess a Fernando & Ana reconciliation was thrown in between the cracks.
So much making me twitch last night:
- nice Osorio. Let's take a perfectly nice guy and totally destroy him, AGAIN, so we all root for Fer instead. We get, he's end game. Angel, meet Diego. You too have lots you can talk about.
- What is with men being shown to be grabby and that's supposed to be shown as amorous or "in love".
- Just still not happy about Jen/Johny.
- Fanny needs to get over herself. All that mooning at the wedding was the last straw, all the while standing there with her loyal lapdog she is stringing along.
- I had twins and I NEVER felt faint one day and I even suffered from anemia. Can we PLEASE stop this stupid cliche to herald the pregnancy plotlines. Nauseous around food makes sense, as many suffer that.
- Speaking of ANOTHER child - I agree, is this going to be the kick in the paints with Fer to get back with Ana? I find the glossing over of both their issues and backgrounds and history sort of troubling, and that they really are more a couple because of their love for the kids. And she's hot and he's handsome, so hey what more should there be right?
- The security and police in this town continue to amaze. Eeky still on the loose under their noses.
- And Ximena and Nando want to learn cooking, cute but for the hint that Ximena is already prepping to play house. He's 17-18, college, WTH?
- Pablo - more kid pranks--whatever.
Get Diego back already!!!!!

I take back everything I have said about pregnant women fainting being novela bunk. I recently read some old letters that my mom wrote to my abuela when she was preg with me. She was always passing out & said she was afraid to go out anymore. One time she passed out in a dept. store & woke up stretched out on the counter. Things were different back then.
So I hope Los Mejia & others forgive me.
Hi everyone! I already posted this on the most recent 'La sombra del pasado' page, as I'm not quite sure where it should be posted. Wanted to reach as many people as may be interested in possible, I thought I'd post it here, too (and, if somebody in charge would like to make a posting of it separately for everybody else, then they can do that).
The 'Favoritos del Publico' of this years 'Premios TvyNovelas' were announced yesterday and, surprisingly (to me, at least... even though it is a VERY good novela), it was almost a clean sweep for 'Yo no creo en los hombres'- of the 8 awards, they won 6 of them!
The winners were as follows:
Beso Favorito: Adriana Louvier & Gabriel Soto
(Yo no creo en los hombres)
El Mas Guapo: Gabriel Soto
(Yo no creo en los hombres)
La Mas Guapa: Zuria Vega
(Que pobres tan ricos)
Villano Favorito: Flavio Medina
(Yo no creo en los hombres)
Villana Favorita: Azela Robinson
(Yo no creo en los hombres)
Pareja Favorita: Adriana Louvier & Gabriel Soto
(Yo no creo en los hombres)
Final Favorito: Mi corazon es tuyo
Mejor Guion o Adapcion: Yo no creo en los hombres
Mejor Director de Escena: Yo no creo en los hombres
How about that???
Now, the actual awards show itself is tomorrow, Sunday night. I plan on watching and will for sure post the results here on CarayCaray as soon as I can.
Best wishes to everyone!! :-)
What a drag that the reconciliation (or near-reconciliation) had no real drama to it!
High point for me was Fanny getting a 9 on her exam or project. I am a teacher to the end and Fanny remains one of my favorites, though the Leon/Lenin thing is going to end badly for utterly faithful Lenin. Quoting Herman Hesse to her seemed strange, but I may not be remembering my comparative lit class of a million years ago well.
I saw that Diego was pictured in the closing credits. I guess that he will be back soon. He has been sorely missed.
Although he didn't have a lot to work with, JS was perfect as the reluctant witness and insanely jealous ex-pareja of Ana. He really is the strength of this novela.
-Fanny, looked like you were trying to be Audrey Hepburn at the wedding. Sorry, you're not even close.
-Jenny, now that you marry a doofus you wear a nice wedding dress? Glad you lost the hippie outfit from your first wedding, but it's not easy to see you end with Johnny.
-Enrique, nice "hey look at me, I'm a psycho criminal" outfit, where did you buy it? Really makes you blend in.
-Ximena, what's up with the "shiny" clothes, first the pants, now the shirt.
-I feel sorry for the baby, he gets passed around like a loaf of bread, and has no real mother. Wonder what's going to happen to him.
I wonder whether the writers planned that from the outset or if it's happening because Sylvia Navarro is actually pregnant?
And if Fernando tells her that getting married is the right thing I hope she says "no." It's not right if there is no love or respect. He needs to work harder this time and not screw it up.
I had the same thoughts about Jen's dress and her coiffure. Both winners so why is she marrying such a loser?
Yomama needs to fess up. Little DN will need a proper home and he has bonded with the Lascurains. He will likely end up there because there is no better place for him. Or maybe Fanny and Leon will get married and adopt him, although I'd rather see Fanny graduate from college and wait a few more years before having kids.
So...will Ana have a boy or a girl?
Nothing much to say except thst I really enjoyed this episode. No criticisms from me today.
Jarifa
I was glad to see the time whizzing by at the beginning of the ep...they had some "subtle" suggestion of passing time indicated by clock hands spinning around throughout that little montage. I'm going "whaaaa....????", and then I saw the "Semanas Despues". Oh.
CathyX and Urban: ITA it is going to make me crazy if Fernando cites Ana's baby as a reason for proposing marriage. That's just what got him saddled with Isabela. If they don't resolve their differences, doom will ensue (if this was real life, I mean.)
J in Oregon
Let me ask you something, do you feel sorry for all those "loafs of bread" being raised by daycare centers? While the Mom is off "advancing her career", some stranger is busy changing diapers, holding, rocking to sleep, feeding, reading and caring for the baby.
Hispanics tend to place more of a priority on family and the majority of them actually raise the babies they bring into this world. At least DN is with family.
I've had writing complaints about this series, but that isn't on the list of my issues.
One issue that leads my list is that almost nobody has such big families anymore. Of course this series would probably not have worked as well had there only been four children.
And everyone else... Please don't assume and assume the worst... watch another couple eps, please! before you throw in the towel on this one.
As far as the time lapse, they were not specific but as he was telling Fanny how he was regretting hitting Angel and that it was because of his grief of late, he did say it had been 30 days... it will be clear again Monday. So the titles were vague as far as 'weeks' but the character lines are not.
So fans love the finale... hmmm!! a bit circussy to me if i t is what was posted to youtube....
and cathyx, awesome recap title.
is it only 2 weddings? Fer/Isa and Jen/Nico... and a couple more in dreams (Ana's dream and Leon's dream)
Also Lenin's line as Ana/Fanny walked down was about 'beauty is not in he/she who is beautiful but in the eye of the beholder' (or stte).
And yes, Fernando and Ana were the 'witnesses' on the civil ceremony.
And everyone was laughing because of Jenny's middle name was Betsabe and Johnny's middle name was Nepomuceno... and noone else over there knew, except Ana knew Jenny's mn.
I agree that Jen's dress here was nicer than at her wedding to Nico. esp the top... lovely lacey top.
Ana was shocked that Angel told her he loved her because per her words they had already talked about this and she had already told him what she repeated to him.
Interesting that Fernando punched Angel and then appologized to him saying he never fixes issues with punches... (but you can be as cruel as imaginable with those you love, can't you?)
I've haven't had time to comment all week. I think the best of the whole week for me was when Ximena said how much she liked taking care of children, and Ana said "including those of 17."
I hope the writers are prepping us for a breakup because Ximena is plotting out Nando's life in detail ... the same thing that Leon did to Fanny, actually.
I will be disappointed if Edith doesn't come back in the end. Not for Nando, but just calmer and wiser, and with a makeover.
Is YNCELH really that great of a novela to gain so many awards?
I just can't see or understand Gabriel Soto and Adriana Louver winning "Best Kiss" and "Favorite Couple". WTH, over SR and AB-- who really showed their budding romance on screen) and Gabriel Soto as "Best Looking Man" ? I've seen a couple of Gabriel Soto's novelas; and, although he is somewhat good looking, I guess he won only for his Mr. Universe muscles ! !!
I guses I will have to see if LNCELH is available on Youtube or DailyMotion.
It was just the one time and Leon has redeemed himself or Fernando wouldn't have him on the payroll.
Oy vey. Fernanduh got someone else pregnant!?! Nando, please give him some of your condoms.
Kudos to Fanny for passing her exam!!
Jen and Johnny - Ewwwww.
I've been watching the episodes and I must say something about last weeks' Thurs and Fri (Feb 27/27) and this week's Thu(Mar 6) episodes.
Totally loved Alicia's remarks! I am now an official Alicia fan. She really stole Nando's thunder and wise spoke with her dad.
Many episodes back when Alicia was going through one of her crisis her dad spoke to her beautifully. Today it was her who beautifully to him.
"Ana danced on the pole!": And...
"Ana lied": Don't you always say that we can make mistakes and we deserve a second chance?
"Not marrying Ana anymore": Love is forgiveness.
Then as I was really getting int this story someone or something totally ruined it....
a. Prolonging Fernando's rage towards Ana. Ok, we get it, she made a mistake, but unforgivable? Come on! Is this really how it is going to end?
b. Angel's "capricho" Oh lordy lordy to what depths has the story sunk. What happened to him? He was a gentle, compassionate, intelligent man and now he is a dufus whose IQ went further down than Xi's! Inhow many word, ways and languages must Ana tell him before he understands that she does not want anything to do with him?!
c. Pablo returning. Whaaat! Another Brady Bunch ending? The story was just right the way it had ended. Ugh.
d. Fernando seeing the "kiss" between Angel and Ana. This has got to be the tackiest way to get to story moving along. This "move" is so old that novellas presented in Egyptian hieroglyphics made use of this gimmick.
e. Ana preggers!! Is this a red herring? A misleading plot line? This was the worst move that the story could have taken because it ruins Fernando's ability to forgive. Now Ana is guaranteed a husband. And he'll marry her under the same conditions that he married Harpybela; not because he wanted to, but because he had to.
f. Lion making a comeback. Ok, so it is awesome of him wanting to change for Fannie, but get real. Does this really happen? Oh, I forgot, this is a fantasy. Maybe Tinker Ana had a chat with Lion. So now because he managed to not erupt like Vesuvius Fannie is going to fall back in love with him? Now he is a lamb, an adorable angel. Just wait till she goes back with him and return to his usual Mr. Hyde state. The story was going fine as it was.
How can this get any worse?
Easy, Ana begins a relationship with Angel. Sure, go ahead, why no, you ruined the story already, why not hammer the last nail in the coffin!
Best line in Friday's episode: "Thank you so much Mike, now beat it or I'll turn you into mince meat"
Happy Monday!
too funny. since this is Big Mike's signature line in the novela "hacer (someone) picadillo'
Sorry I made the mistake. I corrected my mistake in an earlier post but instead of double posting my comment, Google ate it!!
It was a great recap. I laughed so hard at some of the snarks that I couldn't catch my breath.
Jarifa.
btw over weekend i saw a youtube of after the show when the cast was saying their goodbyes to each other and little 'Luz' was crying hard on Jorge's shoulder, he could not even put her down, she was too upset. awwwww...
Well, the 33rd annual Premios TvyNovelas awards show came and went last night, and I thought I'd share the results with you all. If it's okay, I'll post this on more than one page, so that it can hopefully reach the eyes of all who are interested...
Basically, in total 'Yo no creo en los hombres' led the awards with 7 wins (out of a total of 14 nominations), followed by 'Lo que la vida me robo' with 5 (out of 13), then 'Mi corazon es tuyo' with 4 (out of 10), and 'Que pobres tan ricos' with 2 (out of 8).
Interestingly, 'El color de la pasion' was shut out, despite its 12 nominations and, though 'Mi corazon es tuyo' (which, personally, makes my stomach churn) only won 4 awards, it did take home 'Best Telenovela'. ('La Gata' sufferers will also happily note that it was shut out of all 4 of its nominations... :-)

Mejor Programa Especial: Grandes Temas De Telenovelas
Mayrin enjoyed the challenge of her villain scenes that were a bit caricaturesque, making them right rather than crossing the fence into 'ridicule'.
Also Jorge mentioned that he at times had to be reigned in (Sp?) from totally crossing over to the comic tone of Silvia's because he had to retain the 'rigid/tough' personality of Fernando's... so at times he had to fight the laughter and had to get reminders.
Also at the time they taped the last pole performance of Silvia's and Jorge had to show the facial expressions we saw, he had differences in opinion with Osorio and the writers as to whether Fernando should show more anger or more sadness/dissappointment. he showed the sad/dissap choice. Also in that same scene they all knew already that Silvia was preggers in real life so she mentioned that she could see that Jorge was worried about her falling off the pole while holding his 'poker face' of the sad/hurt Fernando...
thanks for the tidbits of info from Hoy. That was really cool to hearJS say he had to rein in his laughter because we saw the times he was laughing in his gut, for example during the shark and dueling scences. I remember the recappers mentioning that fact in their recaps so I went back and rewatched those scenes and laughed along with him.
That is what is so great about the recappers; you guys add details that we might miss because each one of you gives us a great retelling of the story, especially with snark and all!! I absolutely love the snark! !
Also Fanny tells him that Ana has been very clear with Angel all along, that she loves HIM (Fer).
His exceptional acting makes him even more handsome.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/nbcs-eva-longoria-telenovela-comedy-767208
Eva Longoria is great at comedy, especially at playing a diva. I'll always remember those bits from Desperate Housewives about the porta-potty and the disabled-parking permit.
JS does it for me. He's handsome, very alpha-looking, and has a magnificently expressive face. When it's time for him to see the plastic surgeon I hope he gets the best one around to preserve that face for another 15 years.
For some reason, I don't see JS as the type--vain--to have plastic surgery. I don't remember MI laughing in any of the novelas I've watched to date. But I loved him in his "highwayman" / Mexican cowboy outfit in 'Los Plateados'. Of course, his persistent, stubborn character with Matilde in AR was hard to shallow.
'Gabriel' from Los Plateados was the best look of his so far.
In El Manantial he looked a bit young... and his acting chops he showed first in AR. True. But i have a soft spot for Alejandro (from EL) and Gabriel (LP)
ITA about JS, doesn't sound to me like the type who would resort to plastic surgery, rather he would allow time to change his looks and he would adjust his character selection to reflect his maturity. A.l.a. Enrique Lizalde.
