Lo Imperdonable #51 Tue 7/28/15 Discussion page
Labels: imperdonable
-Vero talks to the Padresito and asks why he didn't tell her that Marty and Dimi were brothers. He said he tried, but was bound by the secret of confession. He also makes sure to tell Vero that (even though he's been acting like the biggest jerk in the world) Marty loves her very much, and that part of loving someone also means to forgive them. Vero tells the Padre that she wants to talk to Marty.
-Marty is at the mine when he is told that Vero wants to see him. He gets encouraged that she is ready to talk and forgive. When he gets there, Vero tells him that when she is well enough she is going back to the D.F. and she will file for divorce. There is no way she is forgiving Marty. She is beyond hurt and is tired of fighting. He tells her that he will wait til she is more calm and then they can talk. He still has hopes that she will forgive him.
-At some point Marty runs into Claudia and pretty much tells her that they CAN NOT be friends. After everything she has done they can not have a sincere friendship because she's in love with him and he loves Vero.
-V-Snake takes a home pregnancy test. We never see the results, but she tells Dr. F that the results were negative. I am not sure whether or not to believe her.
-Emi and V-Snake are going out to dinner. Emi tells Nicolas that "something happened" between Emi and V-Snake in Mina Escondida.
-Magdalena gets dressed in a red, low-cut dress that her ex-brother in law requested she wear to meet him at a bar. Botel does not want her to go, but she does. The ex-brother in law (I can't remember his name) tells Maggie that her daughter died of sadness because her mother left her. He tells her a bunch of other lies too. Maggie leaves the bar crying and almost gets run over by Botel? WTH? Anyway, when she leaves we see that her ex brother in law walks up to none other than Maggie's supposed dead husband. HE IS ALIVE!
More later, gotta get back to work.
BTW, if anyone has a question about a conversation or something I might be able to answer.
The person that I was most mad at last night was Nanci. In Nanci's convoluted logic, the fact that Vero is mad at Martin for using and abusing her because he thinks she's the "mala mujer" who used and abused his brother, means that Vero doesn't really love Martin. And if she doesn't really love him, then Martin doesn't need to know that Vero ISN'T the mala mujer, for whom all this trouble was caused. QTH?! I just wanted to slap her.
I was all kinds of worried about what Malena's husband (because we all knew he wasn't really dead) had in store for her when she received the package of the sexy red dress and instructions to come alone. That encounter with her brother-in-law ended much better than I feared.
Magdalena certainly cut a fine figure in that red dress. Up until now she's been sweetly frumpy but Wowza. However I find her whole story and her endless quibbles with Botel to be tiresome. The only other thing of note I remember was Manuel was up to his usual tricks, trying to assault the barmaid while holding a big knife to her neck. First Pablo arrived and challenged him to a hand to hand combat. Then the hunk that rows the boat arrived and clocked out Manuel. Future love interest for our barmaid? Works for me.
Oh, and Pierre was super-grumpy, ragging on his hapless hotel helper. But finally confessed it was because he was disappointed in love.
The other things that had me slapping my forehead was after her attempted to rape her TWICE in two days, and had a huge knife held to her, Ireri played it all off when the cops entered and asked what was up. Why?!!!! Now was the time to have him arrested, with two cops and two other guys to back her up. And then the two cops who know Manuel isn't supposed to be armed anymore, watch him pick up his giant KNIFE and walk out. Que?!
I did not get a chance to post or respond to the comments on my comments from the other day about revenge. I would love to meet the person who has not once in his/her life contemplated a little revenge. Not all revenge have to be active...some people take the passive aggressive approach.
Than being said...if The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies, I think us fallible human beings should not be held to a higher standard.
My heart was breaking for Vero last night and I am glad that Martin is getting a little taste of his own medicine and having a few epiphanies. That scene as Dim's grave was hard to watch...especially when he said he wanted to die and join Dim. The irony!
I was so happy that Martin put the gold digger Claudia in her place. Does Claudia have any dignity, self respect...shame? I think I vomitted in mouth watching that scene. What the hell!
I just want more scenes with Martin and Pierre. I just love the look on Martin's face each time Pierre is around.
How many psychos does it take make a telenovelas worth watching...I guess we are about to find out...two more was added. Meet Aaron and Clemente (what are the odds that two brothers would both grow up to be sociopaths?)
While I hate the circumstances...Magdalena looked absolutely stunning last night.
I knew that VSnake was not pregnant, but she is beginning to shed her skin. Does Daniel a backbone? Pathetic!
I just really wanted to slap Nanci last night. She actually had the nerve to say that she did not tell Martin the truth about Vero, because she did not see the point, since Vero was not going to forgive Martin....I am going to go out on limb here and say "Nanci, you are full of crap!" Really?! I think it has more to do with you wanting Martin for yourself. Can someone hand Nanci the"Mala Mujer" sash please.
Like many of you, I am feeling very frustrated with Marty right now, no matter how easy he is on the eyes, I think he needs to stop trying to get Vero to forgive him since he "already forgave her" for basically no wrongdoing. He needs to give her space, and once she is calm tell her his story from beginning to end and leave it up to her if she wants a reconciliation. And Vivi, I'm with you on wanting to slap Nancy! Geez, don't get her reasoning at all.
I also feel that since Madga is pre-occupied with her search for the truth in the DF, Vero needs her nana Matilde to travel to Mina Escondida and give her love and support, while Magda makes it back.
Looking forward to tonight!

Vivi, thanks for reminding us about Nanciyaga keeping quiet last night. I wanted to slap her too. I doubt that Vero or Marty will be angry with her because she has helped save both their lives. So they will forgive her; I'm not so sure I will. That Manny scene with Ireri was a missed opportunity. I think Ireri is a nice girl, but she is just too afraid to go against Manny. That's too bad because she had her chance to possibly get him in trouble with the cops. On the other hand, like you said Vivi, the cops didn't see or opted not to see Manny's knife.
JudyB, Thanks for reminding us of the Manny scene. I wondered the same thing about a future love interest. Manny is just sick. Every time he comes on the screen I just want to FF. The same goes for Claudia, FF!!! I thought Pierre was quite funny when he was upset with Teo. I also felt bad for him because he fell for a gold-digger. There's gotta be someone out there for him.
Jolie, thanks for the names; Aaron and Clemente. I totally could not remember their names.
Maricruz, ITA, Marty needs to lay low for a while. Then MAYBE Vero and him can talk. But only if she wants to, you can't force it. The problem is every time they start to talk about Dimi, something or someone interrupts them. Marty is acting ok right now, but it does not make up for everything he did and said. Yes, he may be suffering because of Vero's rejection, but it pales in comparison to what he did. He needs to suffer A LOT before they reconcile. And the truth is yet to be known. I hope it comes out sooner than later.
Eli, Hope you get some rest. Don't worry about us on the patio. We got your back.
Thanks everyone for the discussion and comments!
Hasta pronto.
We're in for a treat!
Vsnake shouldn't nobody's moma.
Manny was in fight mode again, he's just itchin to get stabbed with that giant knife he's carrying around. He is a coward, he doesn't attack the women until he knows no ones around, Im glad pablo showed up and then that other guy. I'd like to see manny get a asskickin more ofter. Something his grandpa didn't seem to think was necessary
when he was growing up.
Come on recap.:-)
Thanks so much for stepping up. Well done. I would love to see you as a regular recapper. You have the knack.
Jolie,
"Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord."
Sorry, I don't recall:
"Vengeance is Martín's."
Carlos
Thanks Carlos. Maybe one of these days I will have the courage to recap.
TF, I ended up liking Norbie at the end of LM too. I was glad when he left his wife. She was horrible.
Hasta Pronto
Thank you very much, Aunty, Jud and Vivi, for filling in. I'm having a very hard time catching up with the story, too much going on, so your little snippets did the trick perfectly.
Jolie and Maricruz, ITA about Nanci. Kind of a boost for my ego, but I never liked her and the fact that she chooses to stay quiet about Vero only makes me dislike her more.
When will someone do something about Manuel? At this point he has no allies left, but nobody seems willing to punish him, either. A great villain he is not, he's just so incredibly aggravating, I don't see his point anymore.
I hope Vero stands by her decision, too, Martin has crossed the line one too many times, his latest fit of rage almost getting her killed. The fact that everyone is telling her to stay in an abusive marriage just because they are in luvvvv is so demeaning for all abused women out there who are probably trying to escape this type of treatment but can't bring themselves to do it because of bad messages like this being spread.
Thanks to the entire Lo Imperdonable recap team for all your excellent recaps. I especially want to thank NovelaMaven and Eli for taking over my recap duties over the past few weeks while I was busy packing and preparing for my cross-country move.
@Adriana - I'm so glad that your little crisis is over and that your little "bun in the oven" and you are both healthy. Sorry you have to deal with French bureaucracy, though. On the upside, you get to enjoy French culture and cuisine, so I'm still a little jealous.
I still will not be able to recap this Wed's episode because my belongings are still on their way here and I can't write a recap on this iPhone (though I wish I could), but I expect to resume my recapping duties next week.
