Yo No Creo En Los Hombres Capitulo 42 Wed 9/9/15 Highlights

Hello, I am just putting up highlights for this episode due to personal obligations. I will try to post something more tomorrow.

  • Dan dissapears to Holy Nowhere refusing to marry Ivana out of a newly found sense of care for MD. Ursula tries to bring him back but this only provokes Maly to laugh and cheer as if she was on a football game. Later Dan has been found sleeping in a hotel but supposedly the hosts don't respect  their customer's privacy cause Dan is brought home dead drunk .  Arango and Isidro had to make him ready for his downfall.

  • Isela unwillingly lets out that she actually likes sleeping with Bustamante but Josefa can never be happy and begins screaming, shouting and making aggressive taunts to Isela. If Isela ever betrays Josefa, the Heifer is sure to show her a slice of what  paradise looks like.

  • Ivana starts experiencing paranoia as she hears the screams of a baby just outside the doors( It turns out it was the servant's baby. At first she screams at him but later takes care of him. Ivana later get's dressed for the wedding with the shaved Gerry offering as her escort! ( He looks better when not shaved just to be honest.) . We later learn that Ivana is going to dump Dan at the altar, just like Dan dumped MD. Her cruel  plan of vengeance appears to be functioning.

  • Ursula and Arango were talking and we got a new twist for the night dun dun dun : They were NEVER in the ruin!! All was done for shit'z and giggles ( Well we did not get explicit details on the  how's and why's but it was mentioned by the somewhat nice looking Arango. Yes he looks better than Josefa.)

  • Doris and Orlando inevitably begin budding even closer as Orlando sends her a serenade on phone which was planned by Max, Leo and Orlando ( Family Morales glees, Julian yawns  and Josefa pushes Isela back to her Room of  Hell in which she begins silently sobbing.).  Max had also given MD a very hot dress that made her look non-poor .

  • Everyone arrives at the wedding and not everyone is in their best nerves as Maly starts getting anxious about Max arriving with his seamstress GF so Claudio offers to clean it all up. MD herself is also not convinced if she should stay but Max promises her Sev's Heaven's AKA everything will be just fine.  Max and Dan almost get into a fight but it somehow get's interrupted when Claudio yells at  Max to talk with him.

Gracias!

I agree that Gerry looks better with some facial hair.

If the Santibanez aren't actually ruined, Ivana will have done all this for nothing. As to the rest of this story I'm guessing that Arango did this to try to get Maleny and Danny-Boy in line because they would certainly bleed the estate dry the way they're going now. Let's see if he persuades Mama Bear to continue the fiction of their ruin.

Danny-Boy will certainly be humiliated at the altar if it gets this far.

How does Alma continue to fail to see that Maleny is BSC?

How does Isela fail to see this about Ho-sefa?

Thanks for the highlights. You did hit the high points extremely well.

Thanks to all for the comments yesterday. Lots to think about on so many levels with this one, despite the dark nature of it I am compelled to continue watching. I loved the new twist about Grrrsula n Co. not really being in ruin.

I believe that Grrrsula may have actually met her conniving match in Iva and this I am happy to see. The fact that she may want Danny Boy to see MD on Max's arm dressed to the nines and then humiliating Mal and GRrrsula and DB at one go by jilting him at the altar is too juicy by half. JMO--I also see her wising up and joining forces with MD in future once she and Doris show what they've got and Iva gets over her insecurities by getting even with the Santibañez sloth of bears.

Gracias Urban and Jardinera. I do agree that Arango might have played it out to save the family from getting actually ruined by Dan's and Maly's spending. But I don't believe that Arango is an angel and neither is Ursula. Ursula forcing things on Dan and Maly makes it even worse because if she wanted to rehabilitate them she would have demanded for the brats to get jobs. She just wants to earn the Bad Mother's award while watching the world burn!

Isela and Orlando not getting together just plain sucks but I am glad that Orly and Doris are bonding. Perhaps they will end up together . Isela does not deserve the love that Orlando once gave her! Josefa is way too scary, Ursula just disgusts and annoys me but Josefa never fails to put shivers in my bones. Maly scores the second plate in BSCness.

CountxAlacran, just the highlights is goooood. Thank you.
Now, if being broke is a hox why did Ivana have to pay the mortgage? And who pays a mortgage on an Estate, isn"t it already paid
For? What are these two old goats up to? I bet they murdered her husband together. What if both of those brats belong to arango?
I know he tried to get it on with melany, but these people are twisted.
I liked MDs dress, beautiful rich color. But she needed some bling, max you couldn't get
Your girl some bling? That was a beautiful
Necklace and earrings alma was wearing.
Dannyboy is a nasty lair, but he was so handsome in his suit last nite. Loved the suit,
Not the jerk wearing it. Melany's dress was
Ugly. Looked like that double knit fabric from
The 70's. Why is alma so drown to this messed up woman, and wants her son with
Her? Does she not know how screwed up this girl is? No, she don't even how screwed
Up her marriage is.
I like gerry with the beard better, of course he
Looks ok without it too, but better with it.
Everybody looks better than josefa!!!!:-(:-(

Count--Thx for the recap--it was more than just highlights, to be sure.

Ivana has thought this thing through, but for MD, this is the worst that could happen to her--leaving Dan-Dan free to pursue her AND Max.

Dan-Dan doesn't love MD. He's just so pithed she shut him down--he couldn't sweet-talk her back into his bed after all the lies and cover-ups he tried on her.

So, Fermin gave Julian a lesson in "How it feels not to love the person who loves you?"

Agree, UA, Maleny has dissolved into chaotic nonsense on more than one occasion, as recently as before the family dinner party and now at the wedding. What part of BSC doesn't Alma see?

Ivana looked lovely in her wedding dress.

Doris in bed listening to the serenata, looks above average normal without those tons of make-up and dark lipstick. I know, it's the fashion now. Call me OLD fashioned. My heart goes out to Orlando, over and over, every night. Sorry that I can't say the same about Julian.

I'll be MIA for a week, but not to fret. I'll be back to catch up.

Nina--You pointed out MD in her lovely purple dress. Totally agree. I forgot to comment on it.

Many of us watched Quiero Amarte last spring, where Adriana Louvier was a secondary character--very clingy. Even so, we kinda wished she'd gotten the lead. After watching her in this role for several weeks, I'm really liking her interpretation of MD and think she would have done a great job in QA as the lead.

But, one last comment: the ladies of the barrio need to lose the sweaters!

MD's dress is gorgeous; I love jewel colors. And it's a little early for Max to be giving her expensive jewelry, but she could have gotten something to add.

I haven't decided whether Ho-sefa or Maleny is the more dangerous. I might think it's Maleny because she is so unpredictable. Hosefa has a pattern of behavior that people can protect themselves from. Both are willing to kill. However, Maleny is likely to fall apart afterward while Ho-sefa will do it in cold blood and walk away gloating.

My god all the drama bombs. I gotta say I'm loving Daniel getting his comeuppance so early. But who knows what he'll do now.

I'm might be alone but I really enjoyed Karyme Lozano as Amaya in QA. While Adriana is doing a great job and MD 2.0 has been amazing thus far there was a spunk and toughness in Amaya that IMHO Karyme captured perfectly. And she had grwat chemistry with Christian too i thought.

Idk hpw good Ivana can come out of this turn of events because she still is married to Daniel even if it is with bienes separados.

Im happy to see MD and Max not letting anything stop them. I lovet hem as a couple and their chemistry is on point.

MD is nice and pretty but I am more interested in our secondary characters honestly . I haven't wached QA but i heard Flavio and Diana Bracha were quite the hootness there.

I believe that both Hosefa and Maly are dangereous but just as UA said Maly is just a fragile bomb of time. Ho-Sefa has no conscience
and would do anything to achieve her mad plans, even kill. If Ursula and Hosefa would be in a different situation, they would definetly be BFF!
Maly is an attention seeker and has no sense of self dignity.

This is great Count, thank you bunches.

"Max had also given MD a very hot dress that made her look non-poor"

I too thought MD was gorgeous in that dress.

The little details in this show are what stand out for me. Like Doris crying in bed and eating ice cream.

That was a smart outfit Danny was wearing for the wedding, loved that tie.

While it was a surprise it is not surprising they really ain't in the poor house. It is possible the mortgage Ivana will pay was a second or third, using the equity in the home for running money. Not sure if it will be relevant but Ivana asked for their banking information in order to complete the transaction.

So Ivana is giving this "no show" to MD as a present, sweet.

I just want to slap Claudio's face off everytime he barks about MD and the barrio people.

Thank you for the recap Countx! I agree with Anita that it was more than highlights.

I like MD and Adriana Louvier here, I actually wasn't a fan of her character in QA due to the clinginess that you mention Anita. I also liked what I saw of her as crazy Olga in Corona de Lágrimas and the telenovelas she was in TV Azteca, where she started her career and played both good girls and bad girls. I think she made a good move by changing networks when she did because her last telenovela in Azteca, Emperatriz, was a huge international hit and that has helped YNCELH internationally since she played the lead's daughter and was one of the most prominent roles there (and had the best romance IMO) and then Corona de Lágrimas became an unexpected success too, so that helped as well.

Urban, I agree on you in regards to Maleny and Josefa. I think their traumas are interesting when seen together because one is the product of abuse and the other is an abuser.

Nina: I agree with you on Daniel looking handsome im suits. I can't help it, I find Flavio attractive.

Jarocha

Jarocha--
Really? Corona was a success, unexpected or otherwise? Caray passed on recapping it and those who commented on having watched it, it was not among their favorites. I haven't watched any of the others you mentioned. My first introduction to Adriana was QA. From tid bits I've seen, off screen Flavio is one of the nicest guys around--go figure. He's learned his craft well.

Count--Flavio and Diana took pure evil to new heights. Wouldn't exactly call it hootness, though. Flavio is a hoot in this one, I will concede!

Tofie--Forgot the scene with Doris and the ice cream. Well done. I can't tell if she's already falling for Orlando. At the very least, he's the go-to guy when things in her life get complicated. When or If will she start seeing him with different eyes. I'm rooting for the two of them. Ise can hang out with Mommie Dearest and Claudio for the rest of the show, for all I care. As I said before, she's damaged goods in more ways than just the physical and Orlando doesn't deserve someone with that much Mommy Baggage.

Count--I take some of that back about QA. Flavio had some scenes as Cesar that were a hoot--walking all over his bed was one I remember.

He also made a wonderfully twisted guy in Amor Bravio--again obsessed with one woman, had her sister and was tied tightly to his evil mother.

How thoughtful of Orlando to call Doris and let her listen, knowing she was sad. Girl should open her eyes.

Yeah, I have no sympathy for Isela now at all. Earlier I did but the farce she perpetuates with Alma while screwing her husband, abhorrent.

I wrote a little while ago but my remarks got lost...I think. Here I go again.

Loved your highlights Count.

I for one think Daniel looked as messy and unkempt as ever in his new suit. And for his scraggly 5 o'clock shadow---UGGLLYY!!! I don't even think he has much in the looks dept. He moves around and jumps around like a monkey. Can't imagine what these women see in him.

I think MD looked lovely in her gown. And she and Max make a great couple.

By the way what does BSC stand for? Can't figure it out.

B (b!tch) S(sh!t) C (crazy)
And I didn't make it up.

Anon at 2:41, ITA FLAVIO is an attractive man. I'd Like to see him in good guy part. His
Eyes are gorgeous. But he plays a bad guy
Very very very well, to the point where you want his charcter to die. This guy he is playing now is just really slimmy nasty. He's goooood!!!!

Anita: Corona did really well in Mexico and internationally too. I don't think it was as bad as Caray expected, definitely not as bad as La Gata, but it was a story about a martyr who enabled her son's bad behaviour so I don't imagine Caray readers enjoying it either. However, the situations felt real because I think many women here tend to let their sons walk all over them and the suffering mother is a powerful image so I think that's why it connected with so many.

Emperatriz was an azteca novela and I think very few places in the US get their channel. It was such a crazy, ridiculous show, but fun. There was one part where the ex of the galán fakes being a cuadriplegic to make him stay with her so Emperatriz decides to throw her into the pool to see if it was true. It was hilarious. Poor Adriana's character suffered the death of her adoptive mother, the suicide of her father, getting vanished from the country by her grandfather, getting kidnapped twice, getting tortured once, trying to kill herself three times, almost getting killed twice, having her groom kidnapped before the wedding by Emperatriz, whom she HATED and who turned out to be her mother. She got this revealed to her through her half sister Elisa, who pretended to be Emperatriz's daughter to avenge the deaths of their parents but discovered that their father had used Emperatriz only to dump her in jail while he stole baby Esther (Adriana) and became rich through crimes, until Emperatriz took him down to recover her daughter, which she couldn't because that's when Elisa pretended to be her since in their teenager years she overheard a conversation of their parents where she became convinced Emperatriz was an evil woman trying to destroy their family.

Sorry, I got carried away.

Jarocha

Countx, thanks for the highlights.

I never know who I'm going to root for each night. I haven't liked Ivana for awhile, but I love her plan devious plan to diss Dan.

Jarocha--Marvelous recap of the whole of Emperatriz. You're allowed to get carried away anytime. The only thing that sounded hilarious was the bit about the pool.

I do get Azteca and watched Destino and Siempre Tuya Acapulco not too long ago. Both, better than I expected. Destino had a handsomely aged Mauricio Islas and Paola Nunez-before-Reina-de-Corazones.

The other production of Azteca I've loved and don't get tired of rewatching is Montecristo with Diego Olivera (ohsohothothot) and Silvia Navarro--but I only got to see that on YouTube. On Caray we had been discussing the chaste love-scenes we always get on Univision. It was Vivi that recommended we watch Santiago and Laura make love that I started to watch the whole thing. The tn itself went on too long, but loved the scenes with Silvia, Diego, Omar Generos and the son, played by Carlos Hays (in my mind, one of the best child performances ever). I recommend Montecristo to anyone who gets YouTube.

As evidenced by her movies, Silvia doesn't mind showing some skin or some really good moves. I thought her pole dancing in MCET was super--and heard she took lessons to make it realistic.

Hello from Brazil, amigos! I am so sorry to be missing all the exciting plot twists in this. I have no idea if/how I will be able to catch up when I'm back, so I'm super grateful for these great recaps. Thanks so much!

Vivi--Hola back! I hope you find the will and the way to catch up with this one. It will rank among the top 10, top 15, top 20, 50, whatever way you want to list your favorite productions (well, mine at least).

Anita,

That's so funny!!! I have to read them again and get a laugh!!! Thanks!

Ann-NYC

Wow Vivi, Brazil, how long you staying? I've never been, have fun!

Tofie- Glad to see you're back from your trip through Asia! It sounded like you had a great time. My trip is from the 3rd to the 14th, so I'm over halfway through. Wah! :( Speak to you all soon.

I hear you can get gemstones at good prices there. Buy some if you can!

UA--You certainly can! My father bought some beautiful topaz, amethyst, and aquamarine stones in 1945, his first and only trip to Brazil by himself. I'm just having the last of them made into jewelry for me and my daughter. I used to love getting out the leather bags they came in and play with them when my parent weren't home! They would have been apoplectic if they had known. You see, I knew where they kept the key to the strong box.

Anita: I used to watch many Azteca telenovelas growing up but stopped a while ago. I did see Montecristo and enjoyed it. I saw all of Silvia's telenovelas in Azteca, my favorites were Perla and Cuando Seas Mia, I also enjoyed La Calle de las Novias. Emperatriz was drama but it was occasionally very funny because the writers knew how over the top it was and didn't take themselves that seriously, writing some scenes like that pool scene every couple of episodes. Adriana's character had alot of drama but the writers gave her the best romance so that balanced things. I don't mind watching circus type of telenovelas as long as the circus makes them fun instead of boring and frustrating, like I usually find Mejía's.

Vivi: I hope you have alot of fun in Brazil! Your trips always sound awesome. Have some picanha for me :)

Jarocha

Jarocha--Cuando Seas Mia was on recently here (daytime) and I watched the whole thing. I really liked Silvia and Sergio together--even though they were apart most of the time.

Please don't mention Mejia in the same paragraph with your favorites. It spoils the mood.

That was a broma----

The only good thing Mejia ever directed was La Madrastra and even that was a strech. His novelas always get screwed up on something that would otherwise make them enjoyable. I hate how he treats the co-characters. He either makes them bland or not relevant at all. Mejia should never hold a project again.

Angelli Nesma is my second least favorite director but I still manage to tune in because of the cast ( Especially A.Avila and F.Valencia) even if the writing raises up my blood pressure.

I like Jose Alberto Castro the most.
