Caray, Caray!

A very self-confident Alicia tells Augustus she thought about it very well and she will marry Alex but only if she becomes the Creative Director. Augustus predictably reacts a bit proud ‘Wow, wow! (lol!) no less than the CREATIVE DIRECTOR of ICONIKA!! Hey kiddo, don’t you think that is a bit steep? … makes sense, you marry my son in exchange with ANOTHER promotion’ Alicia assures him her work will be up to par with her new title. He responds ‘it better be… it won’t be easy jaja! … let’s see if you can carry the load!’


Alicia assures us she can! She adds to Augustus ‘Since Roberto had nothing to do with this there is no need to take his job away… he can take a role as Sub-Director or similar…’ Augustus protests that she now is making up position titles at the agency … Agu jokes that he will now be the one that sells coffee. Alicia adds to her list of requests: stop blocking my parents business of the coffee shop. Augustus claims he is totally unrelated to that situation. But he offers he will have someone find out what is going on there. By the way, regarding the compromising photos, you better be putting distance from your ‘amiguitos’. Alicia asks Augustus if Alex is aware of this offer, is he willing to marry ‘me’? Augus gets close to her face in a jolt.


At Iconika, the reporter lady is now interviewing Roberto. She is very curious about Mateo… Roberto detours her back to his job at the company. Then Luciana starts making up a advertising profile background… saying he has worked in Mexican and worldwide advertising agencies. Shushette adds on to the mask full of false facts… Roberto again tries to detour the conversation to his CURRENT job at the agency.


Augustus is meeting with Alex in his office. Alex still refusing to deny who he really is… Augustus insists that he has to come to his senses and shows him a magazine cover with a photo of Alex’s love interest ‘Kenny Williams’ with a title saying he just got engaged to a certain Hilary Paterson. Augustus tells Alex that the ‘tipo’ with whom he was related understood the game of appearances. Alex picks up the magazine and reads the title with a teary voice. Augustus apparently also has some teary shadow in his eyes… ‘this world is based on appearances, if your ex understands it, why don’t you?’ Alex asks ‘and you knew about it already?’


At reception tres amigas… the girls are mocking Magos about her having trouble with ‘guero’ and his girl. Fatima comes and rants at Magos about complaints that have come to her regarding that situation.


Alex tells Augustus ‘you investigated… you not only knew I was gay but every detail of my life… you never stop surprising me.’ Augustus claims that is why I am where I am and I am who I am. Alex continues ‘in the end, you don’t forgive that I am not like you… you think I have a weak character…’ Augustus comes over to hug him and assure him ‘I only want to open your eyes… if you came out, you would make many unhappy, beginning with your family…’ / ‘Then to avoid making others unhappy I have to make myself unhappy? I have to sacrifice myself?’ / ‘no, no!! don’t look at it that way! … your mother would not resist seeing you like that, and you would never be out of trouble… didn’t a guy beat you up, even if he had the same sexual orientation as you? Nothing good awaits you following that life!’ Alex claims it was just bad luck… Augustus says no… don’t be selfish, think of those of us who love you. (who is selfish?? ) if I am asking you is because I love you… I won’t be around always to get you out of trouble! I beg you, please accept…


(the new actress, Marle [Patty Navidad]) is yelling at Alicia and Elias… she claims it is a lack of respect and dignity to make her wait… Alicia and Elias apologize and assure her they will make it up to her. Marle says Elias and her were talking for a long time, she says Elias is interesting… Elias says the same. Marle leaves, ‘I want something dignified/to the level of… my fabulous brand!... I am a genius! I know!’ Marle and Elias have a flirty goodbye… Alicia looks at Elias a bit inquisitive… makes the ‘I am watching you’ sign with her fingers.



The journalist finally is done with Roberto and Luciana. She leaves with Shushette. Luciana questions Roberto on his lack of wanting to talk about his brother and nephew. Roberto tries to deny it as important. But she insists There must be something suspicious and powerful for Consuelo (the journalist?) to be interested in the subject. I have you in my hands…


Magos is ranting with Jerrys about Fatima… Jerrys advises her to be very careful with Fatima. Magos is resting in the card that ‘my sis is the fiancée of the son of the owner’.


Roberto still won’t tell Luciana any details of his ‘beef’ with his brother and nephew. She rants about no one trusting her with their personal details. Roberto tells Luciana ‘the trust is earned with actions day by day… and forgive me but you know you have not been getting many points there… I don’t think you are a bad person… maybe your attitude is due to a need to get attention and love… ‘ She thanks him for the ‘pretty therapy’ but pushes him out the door.


Alicia is talking to Alex… she is wondering is the ‘faking’ is the right thing to do… Alex seems more convinced that it is the right thing to do. For now it is the only way out/ to go. She walks out and is very concerned.


At the house, the family is wondering who is behind the closing of their coffee business… Elsa was sure they had complied with all the requirements … she had asked Ximena to check again. (too funny that it is Ximena doing the investigation about this online…) Alicia asks her parents how many years they have been married. They won’t give a clear number, but Elsa says what is important is they are still together. That is what marriage is for, you figure out the way to stay together… in the good times and the bad… Alicia agrees half heartedly.


Roberto and Gumaro are eating at home… again, what seems like pulled pork tacos… (and its too funny, again they are fixing each other’s food and swapping plates or feeding each other from their plate… lol) Roberto tells him Luciana is again acting like they are dating, only to get attention to focus on her. Gumaro notes that he is doing with Luciana exactly the same as Alicia is doing with Alex… Roberto says maybe but I don’t care about that, I am focused on my son… Gumaro says ‘love is no nonsense, camarade’ Roberto says what he has to do is get his son out of there and move far away with him to start a new life. And leave ALicia to build her advertising career. That seems to be all she cares about.


Daphne is building a web site called Dafy. And writing a blog about ‘how to survive the first day of classes’.


At school, Marta is with Mateo in some corner of garden… the Director comes and rants at her. Just because she makes donations to the school does not allow her to break the home’s rules…. Mateo protests that the Director and the ‘agent’ lady came to take him away from Marta again. Marta also begs them not to take him back like that.


At some ‘Famsa’ (appliance distributor) store, Braulio is trying to record a video but he has lost Brisa… who suddenly is making a infomercial on the novella about Famsa credit lines. She brags to Braulio with her credit card… Braulio now wants to get a credit line for himself…


Magos brings another coffee to gringo… he is not in the mood… he rants at her for causing trouble to his fiancée ‘Valencia’ when she tried to come see him in the office. Magos says ‘what if you broke up’… gringo says no he has not broken up with her. Magos gets a bit sad and asks when is the wedding.


Marta tries to continue vowing her case. The agent says last time she firmly warned her that she could not break the rules and frequent one of the children in excess… Marta agrees to leave but rants that she will be back after her lawyer wins and no one, not even you, will prevent her from getting his love and his custody.


At the coffee shop, Nacho, Elsa and Alicia open the door and are very happy that everything is finally settled. Nacho asks Alicia if she is sure she did not ask her boss or boyfriend for help in this. Elsa wonders why Alicia is with them and has not been anxious to get to the office. Nacho says you are so talented and I am sure that slowly but surely life will be giving you what you rightfully deserve. They both give Alicia their blessing and she leaves. Nacho and Elsa dance in celebration.


At the orphanage, Mateo is getting very anxious and ill since Mrs Marta is gone. He faints. The teachers call for help.

At the office, Alicia enjoys greeting Luciana, tells her they need to meet ASAP about the MiCan campaign. Luciana says her time in the spotlight won’t last her long after Luciana shows Alex the pictures of Alicia kissing Roberto. They they talk about Roberto and end up calling each other’s grandma names… then walk in opposite directions.


Roberto is at orphanage and asks the agent what happened to cause this emotional crisis. The agent is honest and tells him that this was caused by Mrs Marta Vidal going over the limits that had been given her.


At her house Marta is anxious and upset about Mateo… Angel is trying to console her… but she is now more determined than ever to not lose her ‘ANgelito’.


Roberto is now the one that is angry. The agent suggests he calm down and hear out the psychologist lady… She tells Roberto that Mateo is beginning to see Marta as the motherly figure he has been missing. When he thought he would lose contact with her is what caused the crisis. The asthma can be triggered, among other causes, by emotional trauma. We need to run some studies on him to know more. Roberto says he understands and goes back to caress Mateo in his bed… Mateo is still sleeping.


Alicia and Alex talk again… Alex asks her if she is ready to take on the role of ‘exemplary fiancee’ Tomorrow they will have dinner with the family for the ‘future spouses’.


Roberto tells the agent that he wants to accelerate the requirements to get custody of his son… The agent now seems much more supportive of him… but what she is focused on is what the law determines to be best for Mateo. She advises Roberto that he needs to provide Mateo the emotional support and stability he can… also to get married as soon as possible… and asks him what is up with the girl he was on the magazine cover with? Is the relationship serious? The judge might like if he is not alone in his caring for Mateo.


Augustus calls Fatima asking about Roberto.. Seems he is at API doing something related to Alex’s campaign. (seems Augustus himself is at API because he wonders if Roberto is at a ‘parallel dimension’ (LOL!) of the API).


Roberto asks Mateo what he feels when he remembers his mom. Mateo says when she brought him to the orphanage she said she would be back with a juice for him. But that was the last time he saw her. But he does not remember her face… sometimes wants to but he can’t. Mateo asks Roberto if he knows where his mom is. Roberto says ‘more or less…’ why? Mateo also wants to know. Roberto whispers to him that he can’t tell anyone… what do you know your mom is a superhero! Mateo likes the story. They say love you.


At the house, Alicia is telling her folks about Marcelo’s campaign and the fact that now it is with Iconika but she will lead the campaign. Nacho and Elsa are so excited. Ximena too. Magos says she will surprise them too one of these days. Ximena goes to the tv to show her grandparents the video of Alicia. Elsa asks Alicia how is her relationship with Alex going. Alicia tells her she is going to his parents for dinner the next day (and nothing more).


Roberto still with Mateo… Roberto is crying, Mateo seems to be asleep. Roberto apologizes to Mateo for everything he has had to go through at the home… away from me… I swear what I want most is to give you the family you deserve, my kid….(goes home to cry the same things to Gumaro). Look at him now… even sick! GUmaro says it is not all your fault either. Roberto knows but he continues to tell him he would give his life for him but can’t do anything… the poor thing is paying for something he doesn’t owe. The one who should be sick is me… GUmaro is moved.. never seen him like this. Roberto says Mateo is worse than he thought. Gumaro continues to try to cheer him.. Roberto says he has to leave Iconika. Gumaro asks if he won’t be pursuing Alicia anymore. Roberto says its no use anymore, will ask you a favor… the less we talk about her.. the better.


At office, again at the reception… Malen arrives… with her diva vibe… even gives the girls a 101 lesson on how to move and wave her hair… even her assistant short guy gets into it LOL! More girls from the office join the class which is happening right at reception area… even Alicia gets into it… and SHushette and the security guard. We get even a merengue music background LOL!


At Roberto’s office, he is hiding from Luciana behind his laptop. She wonders what he is so concerned with… his brother or his nephew? He tries to say it is a campaign that is due soon. Roberto insists to her that she should focus on work more if she does not want to lose more supporters in the company. She asks him not to bug her. Then she tries to come up with a slang ‘try/taste MiCan and even YOU will love it!’


Marta is meeting with her lawyer, demands that he move fast against Roberto. The guy tells her the file she gave him on Roberto cannot be used legally because of the questionable ways she got it.


Back at office, Luciana says the campaign should revolve around the individuality of each dog… each is unique and unrepeatable, like people. Roberto says she is doing good. She wonders if she is also doing good with regard to him. Roberto says it is no time to talk about our private lives. Better keep thinking of your proposals for MiCan which are getting good. He picks her up to get her out of the way and leaves the office.


Roberto is arriving for an appointment somewhere… Luciana is following him but Gumaro comes to the rescue and bumps into Luciana, taking her down to the floor… she does not want him to even touch her. From outside, Gumaro sees Roberto meet with someone inside the restaurant (I assume his lawyer) and tries to signal to him that Luciana is there. The lawyer inside is angry at Roberto for not having told him that he almost killed another guy in jail. The Vidal couple has your whole file. They have better chances to keep your son now!





Previews: Luciana threats Alicia to enjoy her last few days at Iconika because soon she will be unemployed. Sandra announces a reorg… Luciana is counting on it being bad news for LIchita… but Voiceover says ‘get ready for big surprises!!’
