Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #65 Tue 11/24/15 (Mex 94) The Italian Girl Who Came To Get Married...In Which the Men Stand Up For Themselves...Some of Them Anyway

Recap by sneaky two shoes:

Aitana want Pietro to come to her dress fitting, the dress will look just like his mom’s wedding dress. Pietro is touched, but when she asks if he misses her, meaning his mom, he thinks of Fiorella, and tells her he knows he is marrying the woman who can make him forget (blech)

Quina thinks Fidel doesn’t respect her after her confession, Fidel is cool with her but has lost respect for Max even though he already knew he cheated. Quina tells the whole story; she was young and impressionable, he was powerful and horny, and whoosh Roxi came along, at first he wanted to give her money to go away and he would keep the kid but she didn’t want to separate from her daughter so he handled things his way and she came to work on the day Roxi was adopted, look how well that turned out.

In true telenovela fashion Quina doesn’t want to tell Roxi what she should know because it would make her unhappy (show of hands, anybody who doesn’t think Roxi would be better off, and less annoying, knowing Joaquina is her real mommy --  yeah I thought not)

Fi tries to get Vitto to take his meds using the tactics she has honed over the years on Gia. Of course Vitto doesn’t want to, since he isn’t actually sick and sends her for a sweet tea so he can hide the pills he pretended to take in the couch

Pietro and Aitana mouth nonsense that neither of them believes about being happy together.

Benni is doing well in his first comportment class and the professional snob is hopeful he will someday be a gentleman, and pleased to an unseemly extent with the wad of cash Roxi gives her. Once she’s gone Beni tells Rox ‘I may be poor but I have always been a gentleman. I’ve always treated you right and I always will, but the classes are over. I like how I am and if you want me you’ll take me how I am, otherwise find some rich good boy.’ Rox is frustrated, how will she fix the naco?

Alina is terrible at both her jobs, the official one she doesn’t seem to know how to do, and the one Os is blackmailing her to do. Gael looks like he doesn’t buy a word of it when she tries to convince him Gianna is causing him problems and he should cut her loose, he even argues the point and reminds her what her job is actually supposed to be. (yay Gael)

Fi tells Vitto she wants to go with him to his doctor appts so she can help when he gets really sick, she also thinks they should postpone the wedding till he feels better (nice move Fi)

Vitto for obvious reasons denies both requests and tells her the only thing keeping him alive is the hope to make her his blah blah  - the guy who actually does all the work in the restaurant interrupts to ask for the number of the refrigerator tech since the fridge is making a funny noise and Diana who would normally take care of it is nowhere to be found. Fi blabs that Diana is visiting someone in jail

And there she is trying to pull loose from Anibal who wants her to help him in some way, she tells him he doesn’t deserve her help after abandoning her and his son, but if he gets out to look her up.

Vitto has the number and the majordomo? goes to take care of it – back to wedding nonsense – honeymoon in Italy, we can go see your parent’s tomb, how romantic. Fi thanks and hugs him.

Fed and Dante plot. Fed knows everybody in the house has secrets, but Pietro is the worst, he must know about everything, he’s so smart and plays his cards close to the chest. She’s going to root them all out, doesn’t care about the scandal, they can’t play with her stuff anymore.

Os and Benito talk business stuff – whose going to be in charge of the merger – (yeah whatever I tuned out)

Gi is down in the dumps and hearing about Fi’s wedding plans isn’t helping. She tells Fi all the good reasons not to marry Vitto that we’ve been shouting at our tvs for weeks now, and Fi tells all her reasons for going through with it, finishing up with, I won’t abandon a sick man. Gia feels sad her sweetie doesn’t feel the same about abandoning sick her.

Pietro, Os and Eloisa talk business stuff. Same as above, who’s going to be in charge of the merger/partnership –meh – no decision reached, angry Os leaves and Pietro and Elo keep talking  - they both agree Os is too much of a screwup to trust with anything important, but Benigno wants him. Pietro will figure something out, but right now he wants to know what really happened to his mom – he was little and Max and Elo tried to protect him, but he’s grown now and needs to know. Aitana’s wedding dress brought the whole thing up for him.

Elo – ‘ we just wanted you to grow up right and be a good man’

Pietro – ‘and I have but I need to know’

E – ‘your mom was lovely, but she had addiction problems and one day she left us    (vague much?)

P -  ‘what exactly happened, how did she die?’

E – ‘don’t torture me with this’

P – ‘I don’t want to torture you, but I need to know

E- ‘ask your father, he had a lot to do with what happened. I need to rest now

Sergio and Gael hold pool cues and talk. Even though Sergio was only supposed to convince Pietro the stop craving Italian, he’s an extra mile kind of guy so he advises Gael not to lose all the $$ Elo represents for some unimportant chick  when he could have any girl he wants

Sergio - ‘ you don’t want to be the black sheep of the fam like me’

Gael – ‘haven’t you been pretty happy being the black sheep?’

S- ‘its been so long since I was actually happy, I almost forget what it was like. Take it from somebody who knows, its not worth it.’

Fi and Gi argue about going to Uni vs moping and marrying Vitto vs really anything else. Beni comes to get Gi for school and she stomps out.

Elo starts prepping her hair and makeup for the engagement party tonight. She asks Sergio for the huge necklace she wore to his wedding and warns him Pietro’s gonna be coming to him w/questions  (VAGUENESS ALERT) They talk about memories and questions and doubts and how hard it is to remember some things and harder to explain them but we get no real info.

Pietro helps Fi with some flowers for the party and they have an awkward convo

Pietro – I miss my mommy

Fi  - I miss my mommy too

Deep looks are exchanged.

Beni comes to pick Gi up from school, she tells him all day has been grey and sad, he tells her to buck up kid it’ll get better. Rox drags Gael over to order Beni to take them home. Beni tells her that he already has orders from Pietro to take Gia home but if they want to come with, they can.  Roxi complains

Party time

Os is smarmy w/Benigno

Pietro is missing, Sonia makes a crack about him being out playing w/one of the servants as per usual

Yep he is. Fi is tossing rocks in the lake when he finds her. She tells him her childhood dreams are gone and he tells her his went the way of the wind, bonding moment till Aitana finds him and chews him out and Fi too. Quina comes up w/a cover story that Fi brought him here at the orders of Elo who wanted Pietro and Aitana to meet there and enter the party together. It works! Aitana apologizes. Quina and Fi escape with Quina telling Fi I know just how you feel.

Pietro gets back at Aitana, chewing her out for her baseless jealousy  (alright, I know Aitana often resembles a female dog (like a water spaniel or a newfoundland) but he totes is chasing after somebody else and she has every reason to be jealous. Yelling at her about it kinda makes him a tool)

Aitana apologizes and says its just because I love you so much but even Pietro doesn’t buy that and on that note they go in to the party.

Fed has changed her plans again and now she wants Pietro to marry Aitana – cause she’ll never make him happy. Dante loves her for her perversity.

Os and Sonia bond over both being terrible people and their sinister plans, light petting ensues.

Rox thinks the party is totes lame and Gael is pissed he has to celebrate someone else’s love when he can’t have his own, and carps at Rox for ratting him out to Elo.

Sergio and Julietta catch up on what each other has been up to in their own dysfunctional way (I like these people and want them to have a happy ending, but that doesn’t change the fact that they both need some therapy stat)

Diana denies, denies, denies to Vitto she was at jail. Vitto tells her if she had a friend or fam member in jail he would help her out.

Everybody at the party is super busy so Fi is sent to greet the latest guest and announce him.  Who is it?

The Italian Stallion has arrived! He smiles at Fi, Fi smiles at him, llamada de sangre???

He didn’t get fat!

In fact he looks pretty good.

Sergio is going to flip out

Hey looks like we get shirtless Pietro tomorrow! Yay!

Thank you, sneaky two shoes!

Thanks for posting Diva. Enjoy the recap y'all, I'll try to be back later, but now I got yams to candy.

Diva – Thank you for the recrap!!! Not a very eventful episode until the final scene, but that is nothing new to us.

”Yelling at her about it kinda makes him a tool)” Well, yeah, but he really is a bit of a tool, so, spot on, Diva.

I really like Vitto’s majordomo (that word works for me, Diva) in every scene in which I’ve seen him. He is a cutie. Probs haz mor brainz than the rest of the characters.

Why did Fi look distressed at the idea of going to Maratea, Italy on their honeymoon? She looked like she was going to barf or cry. Personally, she should be questioning Vito’s “illness” and the “wisdom” of making such a long trip. His brain tumor could explode from the cabin pressure. As if.

Nice that the writers threw us a bone and had Ju’s Italian stallion boyfriend show up at the par-tee. It was weird, the way that guy was looking at Fiorella.

s2s - Oooooh, I have not had candied yams in .... decades. Yum!

.

Crap! Totally forgot to put sneaky's name on this! Thanks for the reminder, doris...brb!

Oh, did sneaky write this one? Then thank you to sneaky2shoes!!!

I have no excuse...I'm not even cooking!

Thank you sneaky!

"Deep looks are exchanged"

Wow, the cutest couple happens to be Os and Sonia. Now that's working through adversity in a relationship.

LOL Diva! It's because you probably are not wearing the aluminum foil liner under your telenovela beanie hat!

tofie - give it time and Sonvaldo will be at each other's throats again, no doubt.

Sneaky two shoes, thank you for this excellent recap!

"Quina tells the whole story; she was young and impressionable, he was powerful and horny, and whoosh Roxi came along...." Eloquent. I love it!

"I may be poor but I have always been a gentleman." Yes! This has been bothering me. I never thought Benito was terribly "naco" to begin with. He helped run a high-end restaurant...the whole "Oh I thought Cabernet Sauvignon was cheese" in an earlier episode really seemed like trying to completely rewrite his character just to fit this stupid sub-plot.

"Even though Sergio was only supposed to convince Pietro the stop craving Italian, he’s an extra mile kind of guy so he advises Gael not to lose all the $$ Elo represents for some unimportant chick when he could have any girl he wants." Such a sad/pathetic moment, but I'm grinning at your description 'cause it's so true. Stinkin' Sergio!

"He totes is chasing after somebody else and she has every reason to be jealous. Yelling at her about it kinda makes him a tool." Thank you! Yes! This is bugging me!

"The Italian Stallion has arrived!" Woot! Excellent timing, too. We can't have a proper Angeles party without some major fireworks!

Ah, doris, that's what happened when I traded in my beanie for a tiara :p I should have known the bling couldn't deflect a stream of nonsense quite this thick!

tofie, I guess Sonia somehow never realized the way to her husband's "heart" was being her most horrible self.

It does reinforce being yourself for love to blossom

Os has always been so charmingly open about his assishness. It's lovely to see Sonia reciprocating. *snort*

Thank you Sneaky!! Girl, this was delightful! Absolutely fun! So, Fiorella's Daddy has shown up. I hope the way he was looking at her was "llamada de sangre" and not "llamada de testosterona".

Ha! "Llamada de testosterona"! Good one, Lila! And I sure hope not!

"Llamada de testerona" - LOL, Lila!

What with this whole novela being built on an inappropriate and creepy attraction, I wouldn't be surprised if Santino will start off being attracted to Fiorella perhaps not realizing it is his daughter. I know, it doesn't make sense but that's why it does.

Grazie tanto, Sneaky. I apologize for being late to the fiesta.

The person who needs deportment classes is Roxana. She has no idea how to behave with any sense of class. She puts other people down on any pretext, treats servants like garbage, and behaves in a manner that calls the wrong kind of attention to her and her family. She will be having the hissy fit of the millennium when she finds out that Joaquina is her mother, but that will probably give Helloisa the stroke she so desperately deserves to be taken out of action.

Santino must be crashing the party because he knows Julieta is there. If he's somehow on the guest list maybe he knows something about Aitana's parents that can blow their cover and stop the wedding from hell.

Thanks sneaky! This was funny and enjoyed it more than watching. So much of the dialog and antics are same old same old.

What a pleasant happening to have dear old dad, not yet revealed, show up. And with the call of the blood look that apparently Julietta has to really work at to conjure up. He's a looker, have to say, and I am definitely hoping this moves the plot to some interesting developments. Because currently, it's becoming a yawner.

Daisynjay

Daisynjay - becoming ? It has been for a while, IMHO. ;-)

Well silly tablet posted before I finished. I'm in this telenovela for
1. The Patio peeps
2. The chocolate
3. See if Rox and Ben end up together. They could remind us of The Taming of the Shrew.

Happy Wednesday, stopping by just to say hi and congratulate S2S on her excellent recap. Got to go, Happy and safe thanksgiving.

Hanna

Sneaky two shoes, this was sensational.

"She tells Fi all the good reasons not to marry Vitto that we’ve been shouting at our tvs for weeks now" and "Os and Sonia bond over both being terrible people and their sinister plans, light petting ensues" were among my favorites.

So, the weddings are upon us. All the drawn out feuding and fussing and we aren't even sure either will actually take place. Having said that, I can't see the storyline prolonged any further without one of them getting formally hitched, so my money's on Pedro. I like Sergio but what a sad sack.

I'm a bit intrigued by Diana and Anibal. I just want Vitto to go away.

Benito never bores me. I like he stood up to Roxi. Gi and Gael have too many problems and are simply immature to be together. They need time, distance and counseling, especially Gael.

Thanks again!

Diana

Sneaky two shoes, I nthink this is the first time I've ever experienced your recaps and can I just say BRAVA!!! I totally dig and it is even more impressive because this show is getting so dumb! Thank you for reinvigorating the story; it was way more fun to read your recap than to suffer through the actual episode. I'm sorry I'm only getting to it now because I would've enjoyed these laughs while wrapping up work :)

Anyway, the only interesting thing I found in the whole episode was Eloisa's wording. Pedro's mom "left"? Does that mean she might still be alive? That would be very cool, but Sergio's way too chill for that to be the case, yes?

Ok, I must preface my next comment: I appreciate the plight of the naive country girl and this probably only rankles my nerves because Rox and Quina both annoy me so much, but Joaquina just cries about how big, bad Maximo seduced her and poor Rox is her lost little girl and I find it annoying. 1) how young are we talking? Because you were old enough to start off as an employee at Acorp (isn't that what Fidel said?). And he flirted and you fell in love, knowing he was married and your boss. Sigh. It's not that the story's not sad, and it's not that he shouldn't have taken responsibility, but dammit, you should take some too! And if not for that for the fact that 2) your daughter's...horrible. If nothing else, at least recognize that and stop indulging her every whim and wish and defending her horribleness.

At this point, even people's voices get on my nerves. Eloisa and Vittorio are at the top, but almost everyone else is right up there, especially when they start talking over other people about why they're right about whatever it is.

Thumbs up to Ben for walking out on Roxana when she was being her usual insulting self.

Eloisa was really having a hard time talking about Pilar. Genuine sadness? Guilt? Only her hairdresser knows for sure.

I was thinking the same thing.

I also now think that Sergio is pathetic.

So much for him being a new man. He's the same dude he's always been. Except now he's sober and monogamous. I guess those are improvements? What. Ever.

Thank you sneaky for this interesting recape.
These people are........ Anyway everybody is
Lying to everybody about everything.
Elo is full of it. Her and her crooket dead hubby had A lot to do with different inlaws deaths. they Are so crooket. After all, she did kill her hubby.
Mercy killin or not she killed him. The ol goat
Got blood on her hands. Shes cold blooded.
And nobody stands up to her. The insanity
Continues. Ok.

Happy thanksgiving people!!! Try not to eat
To much. HAH!!!! Good luck with that :-D ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♥♥♥♥♥♡♡♡♡♡♡

Thank you for the recap sneaky shoes. I agree with you Nina. Is ironic that this rich familys last name is Angeles because they are not angels except for Gael for obvious reasons. They should be named the Devils or the Hypocrites family.

Helloisa Like you said is officially a killer and manipulates Pietro like a puppet.
Maximo Cheated on helloisa and had a daughter with his lover which he took away from her. He ordered his brothers death and swindled him.
Osvaldo Sr. Abused her wife and sons
Osvaldo Jr Almost kills Pietro, has abused, humilliated, and cheated his wife. Manipulates Gael and doesnt care going by the world threatening everybody that interferes in his plans. He has no loyalty to his own family when it comes to money.
Sonia Oh the Poisoned apple of discord
Roxana Oh what a spoiled and inmature girl but she could have her redemption with benitos love
Federica What a Phsycopath and what an obssesion she has with his dad
