lichita 2/16:

Carmona comes to arrest Sheila! on accusations of fraud! Beto grumpily watches, and later muses about whether Augusto will even bring his kid back.

Carmona's packet had the contact info for some mysterious witnesses who all denounced Sheila for fraud. So Beto's off the hook for now. I still can't tell if he actually just sent the packet or if he's claiming credit for it.

Brisa and braulio share a romantic moment and a kiss that surprises them both. Then back to business!

Sandra and Malicia's conflict comes to a head when Mr. Foster flips about the fake video he got from Sandra. Sandra loses and storms off, and Mr. Foster says he never trusted the stuff he was getting from Sandra anyway. He'll give her one more chance with one of his brands. The first famous brand for her to work with: Angelic Toilet Paper!

Brisa's dad visits her at work but mostly just hits on Fatima. She accuses him of such and he fervently denies and claims that as a true gentleman he can't help but admire the beautiful flowers in the garden. Fortunately for him, Braulio shows up and falls all over himself for the "generalismo," pulling him away to look at something related to his film. Brisa rolls her eyes.

Dafne is pouting to beat the band, slouching on her bed under a colossal black veil. She moans to her mom that her blog is ruined now that her cover is blown. She admits, though, that she hasn't been online to check the comments since. Bea acts like a sweet sympathetic mom for once and climbs under the veil with her daughter to look at the blog with her. Turns out the response was actually very positive!

Augusto tells Beto he should be glad Sheila's gone because a mother who doesn't support her son is someone who isn't worth anything. Funny that he didn't support his own son (Alex). In a flashback Augusto tells Sheilahe felt like his own mother was worthless for not supporting *him*.

Augusto continues with the threats. "If you run off with the kid, like I know you're already planning to do, the boy really will disappear." With that, the door opens and Mateo runs in for a big hug!

Nacho is still lying to everyone about the missing money!

Luciana gets really sweet when she sees how hard Beto is taking it over his kid. Gumaro sees it and gets sad.

After Braulio runs off from their kiss to go work on his movie and her dad comes to visit her but mostly hits on other women, Brisa decides has had it with not being the sole focus of anyone's life (seems a little dramatic, no?) and decides she'll leave it all behind, quit Iconika, and go travel.

Brulio is helping Alicia think of that special spark for the toilet paper campaign, and he finds himself telling her to "harmonize" herself. Alicia notes that that's a very Brisa thing to say.

She does leave, and she's going to Mali! This gives him an opportunity to do the cliche dash to the airport to profess his feelings.

His departure leaves Alicia in a tough spot, because he was about to have an important meeting.

Gumaro is mad at Luci because he thinks she's cheating on him with her husband. Even though she came to tell him how much she loved him.

Beatriz sells Augusto all of her shares in the company, so now he's 100% owner!

Thanks for the wonderful recap Ezra!

I knew Augie got rid of Sheila. Poor Rob is in an even worse place now with Mateo. I felt for him when he broke down. Can someone explain to me how Augie has control of Mateo? What does it mean that he is his tutor?

Wow Luci showed some tenderness for once for someone other than herself.

I think Nacho keeps hoping the authorities will get his money back before Elsa finds out. He should just tell her but I can understand a little bit why he doesn't. It was obvious when he got the money that Elsa thought he would lose it all. His pride is at stake.

So Sandra got fired. Where does she go from here? Has she learned any lessons or feel any remorse?

I kept hoping Bea wouldn't sign those papers. Augie keeps winning. When oh when will the anvils start to drop on him?! Please writers don't wait until the very last episode. I hate that.

Awesome Ezra and thank you.

I'm wondering if Beatriz selling out now and taking the money is the best thing to do when/if Iconika crashes.

Braulio runs off when Alicia needs him and wonder if this justifies her using an idea from his movie.

I tuned out Nacho long ago so don't really care. He's an idiot and not even a lovable one.

I don't feel sorry for Roberto at all. He should shut up. Augusto delivered Mateo on a platter and all Roberto has to do is be loyal and continue to do shady things for his benefactor.

Best of episode was Beatriz crawling under the veil with Dafne.

Ezra, another fantastic recap. Excellent!

Most touching moment: “Bea acts like a sweet sympathetic mom for once and climbs under the veil with her daughter to look at the blog with her”. Wonders never cease.

Most ironic moment: “Gumaro is mad at Luci because he thinks she's cheating on him with her husband”. HA! Had to smile as he looked so utterly pitiful, didn't he?

tofie, I don't have much pity for Roberto either...

Carvivlie, yes it was nice (and utterly shocking) that Luci was a bit sympathetic (to anyone other than herself).

In terms of relationships/teams at this point, I am rooting for Roberto and Mateo, Luci and Gumaro and Alicia and Dafne. Wish I could get excited about Brau and Bri but can't...

Augusto must go....

Diana

Great recap,

The scenes with Augusto threatening Roberto with Mateo paying the consequences --"ouch!" --for Roberto's "bad" behavior were stomach turning.

Carvivlie, it seems Augusto has legal rights over Mateo. Is Mateo another chance for a son for Augusto? On the other hand, with Augusto's visceral reaction to Sheila's lack of maternal care, I am very curious to find out Auguso's WHOLE back story. Tired of the hints, just give it to us already!

Braulio the "jerkolio"gets what he deserves with his movie and Brisas.

Tofie, so Alicia may use Braulio's movie herself as a sort of payback for Braulio being a jerk and standing up the director and her? Not really ethical or practical if she wants him to stay working there and sharing an apartment with her.

I think Beatriz was smart cutting the business tie with Augusto. She is independently wealthy so why have any connection to evil Augusto.

Nacho needs to come clean. I got the feeling that he had been involved in previous investment schemes with Elsa's reaction to his investing in the "casa de ahorros".

Glad to see Sandra get what she deserves.

Ezra, it should have read "Great recap, thanks, Ezra. I enjoyed it."

Iconika seems a shell of it's former self. Only three people are actually working, Fatima, Alicia and Elias, but for what? Now, Beatriz no longer an owner and Alex gone what's left? Leveraging Dafne's blog?

Thank You Ezra. What would we do without our brave recappers? :-)
My favorite of the night was , I'll name him Twitchy", with Daff and Alicia and how his twitchy eyes seemed contagious to Daff and a little to Alicia. The when he left the table their "non-spoken" conversation about him was EPIC ! ! .

Thanks, Ezra. Great job.

Loved Daphne standing up to the investors/advertisers(?) who wanted to censor her blog. And ITA Beatriz joining Daphne under her black veil tent was the best moment.

I'm still rooting for Roberto, with Mateo. Probably due more to my admiration for Arath's acting skills.

Poor Luciana. Just when she softens and shows some empathy for Roberto, Gumaro sees it. I think we can count on Luciana though to not take "no" from Gumaro.

FYI, it looks like " Muchacha italiana" and "Lichita" are being pushed back one hour due to the Papa's visit to Mexico. No "P yP" but "Hotel" will be on as usual. According to my Xfinity schedule, "Lichita" will be on at 8:00 central time.

Thanks Jarifa!

I am glad to have a bit of a reprieve from PyP and glad that MI and Lichita will be on.

I'm attempting (unsuccessfully) to watch all 3. Once MI ends, I won't be watching its replacement. Watching 2 is tough enough :)

Thanks, Ezra! I missed this last night, so very grateful.

Is Mateo living in the mansion with everyone now? I didn't quite understand what his living situation is. I certainly don't understand what his legal situation is, and who is legally his guardian with Sheila in jail.

Vivi, it is my understanding that Augusto left the mansion so Mateo is living with him somewhere else. That is why it is a big deal when Roberto will be able to see his son since he is expected to live at the mansion with his wife Luciana. According to Augusto, he did the legal maneuvering with all of of his influence to get legal rights over Mateo. We don't know if Sheila signed over her rights since evidently she never wanted a child and Mateo was an accident. That is all I know.

Diana, Wow! Three at one time!!!! I am trying to keep up with two: this and "Hotel" and am having a hard enough time. I wiould like to see "Sueño de amor" if it follows "Lichita" amd am interested in the upcoming "Frente al mismo rostro" where Angelique Boyer plays triplets(that could be a trip in itself). The good thing is that "Hotel" is relatively short with only 80 episodes as compared to 130 or more. Then there is everything else I watch on broadcast and cable tv . . . Too much, too little time!

Is Sueno de Amor the new Latoodle show? After CI and LG, I will stab myself if I watch one more of hers.

Carvivlie- No. Un Camino Hacia el Destino is the new Latoodle that will take the place of the 7pm show. Un Sueno is by Osorio: Mi Corazon es Tuyo; Poque el Amor Manda; Mi Pecado; Una Familia con Suerte.

Thanks Vivi! That I will take a chance on.

Kirbo you are pushing it. Please do not publicize your rip-off URL here or denigrate past or present recappers. I appreciate your non-obnoxious comments but I am not infinitely patient.
