Sueño de Amor (SdA) #11. Tuesday March 22, 2016. Don't Kiss Me, Marcel Marceau! They Will Cyberbully Me And Glue Your Pompis To A Chair!

Hello Patio Pals! We’ll have to make do with a discussion page until a valiant volunteer takes over this recapping spot.

The mime bit took me by surprise and, I won’t lie to you, I did yell out an involuntary "What in the...?". However, after the initial shock, I was really charmed, not just by Ricardo’s performance but also by Esperanza’s reaction to it. This actress has won me over and, as much as I love
Cristián de la Fuente, I must admit that his co-protagonist is now the main reason I tune in.

Pedro, the Friend Zone's poster boy, reconciles Kristel and Erasmo.

Viviana confesses to Luca that she is still in love with Ernesto despite their long-term estrangement.

SuperClingy gives SuperKlutzy permission to go to Járvar.

Ricardo kisses Esperanza in the teachers' lounge. It was a beso chiquitito, short and sweet, but somehow Osorio managed to fudge up the editing.

Salma films Esperanza's enamored expression post-beso and shares the video on Socialbook.

Félix del Pozo and his Dalí mustache are introduced as new characters. I like this character with idiosyncracies, plaid suit and all, but I can really do without the ridonculous 'tache and the boooing sound effects.

Pamela, La Sombra's kid (Valentina from PEAM), pours glue on Ricardo's chair.

A quote from the capítulo

“¡Muy bien! Parece que me voy a quedar sentado. Ahora el problema es, ¿qué voy a hacer cuando termine la clase? No voy a andar con una silla pegada a los pompis.” *

* Ricardo discovers that he and his squeezable pompis are glued to the desk chair, courtesy of his mischievous pupils: “Great! It looks like I will stay seated. The problem now is, what am I going to do when class is over? I’m not going to walk around with a chair stuck to the derrière.”
*

Thank you for the pleasure of your company. Please join us again for the next capítulo. We’ll be saving you a seat!

Hey beautiful peeps! Since we do not have a regular Tuesday recapper, we’ll have to make do with a discussion page. I can’t promise I’ll always be able to provide a short summary or comment on the episode’s (non)events but I’ll endeavor to always post a thread for you guys to post your comments. Any suggestions welcome. Any brave recapping volunteers also welcome. Good night. :)

Thanks, Nandicta, whatever you post is fine by me! Thanks for taking on that responsibility.

Still am waiting for Ricardo's story aka excuse . . . Seems like Pablo is still the only one that knows and with school, work, and three hours of sleep that is going nowhere.

So Ernesto tells Luca he hasn't got long for this world: is Osorio going to throw in a terminally ill villain?

Well, we did have an attempted robbery on the bus thrown in which turned out to be a fun detour with Esperanza refusing to be intimidated. and the stooges getting involved.

Pretty pathetic that Kristel told her dad she has a job, is saving to move out and she will be there to help HIM.

I am liking Félix if the mustache that moves on its own. Nice to see Silvana squirm. Of course she wants to annihilate Esperanza. Now if Silvana teamed up with Tracy . . .

Well, Krazy just said she will be ''una sombra'' in Ricardo's life and will follow him day and night.

If we want to know what Ricardo told Pedro, will have to call 01-800 P-E-D-R-O and swipe the credit card!

I am hoping Luca will not disappear on Pato for the next 20 years!

How old is Kristel and why is she still in ''prepa''?

I guess Ricardo's story, that he already told Pedro and now Pedro is telling everyone it will be somthing WE WILL NEVER KNOW, they will tease us IN EVERY FREAKING EPISODE!

Ricardo's mime act annoyed me more than the Dragon cartoon from the first day in school.

Prmeteo, the only club in CDMX allows love relationships between coworkers?

Salma ''superhates'' Krista even in the way she licks the stamps! LOL!

Add to SuperClingy and SuperKlumsy SUPERESPERANZA, heroin of the poor and weak!

I am hating that musical moustache a lot!

Yes, kiss each other where everyone can se you!!

Not Mario Discua AGAIN!! Now as the blind teacher!

Pamela and her impractical joker thing is like a deja vu from PEAM.

Oh, and I hate to see Ricardo daughter ALWAYS CRYING when that happens! I hate to burst your bubble, but Welcome to the real world kid!

Thanks again Nandicta.

Again I didn't see the show but at a long boring awards ceremony and glad I didn't see the pathetic use of a mime. When one appeared in LA Gata the stunt turned me totally off the galan. I was no fan of Ricky already, so there.

Nandicta, this was more than enough to get us started. Thank you for your continuous efforts to keep our talks alive.
One worthy mention : Luca feels torn about leaving Pato until Ernesto opens his eyes to the reality :Pato is still in prepa and a Harvard Post -grad could do wonders for his career. The relationship barely started, there is no forever set in stone for them yet, so he needs to follow his path and if it's meant to be, they can have a long distance relationship for a while. I was just about to slow clap to Ernie's speech and being the voice of reason in this situation, when Osorio remembered that he is a villain and villains are bad - so Ernie added a little blackmail to what had so far been some very sound parenting advice : his days are numbered, so who will take over once he's gone.
Ernesto - not rotten to the bone, IMO. If he didn't treat Adrian so incredibly bad, I would say that he's perfectly redeemable. This is a character that is worthy to watch.

Do any of you actually believe that Pedro would not run straight to his mother with what Ricardo told him? It has been made abundantly clear that they share everything (see Espe's neverending talks about Ric before he actually showed up ). His alegiance to Ric's cause is more than dubious, coming second only to Pato's. QTH, girl! You were the fruit of an affair and grew up without a father but think it's OK if your mom hooks up with another married man?

Nandicta, short and very sweet.

"Pedro, the Friend Zone's poster boy, reconciles Kristel and Erasmo" and "squeezable pompis" were among many favorites.

You convey more with a few words that what many say in wordier, less interesting fashion.

Jarifa, thanks for noting that Ernesto may be doomed. Wouldn't that be a first? Startling revelation.

Adriana, I really liked your comment about Ernesto. Yes, if he wasn't such a demon to his son, I might have seen redeemability. The cloud may be too heavy to lift.

I enjoyed Espe and her "valiant" trio thwarting the robbery. I liked her savoring the sweet kiss. I like everything about her - her sweet (but capable) demeanor, her kindness and heart and her unfailing support and love for her children and others.

I laughed at the chair caper. Those little devils! I loved Kindergarten Cop so these scenes are great fun and enjoyment for me.

Thank you everyone. This may not offer solutions to cure the world's ills, but it's a relaxing and diverting way to spend an hour.

Diana

Ernesto probably is dying from kidney disease. Didn't Luca donate one of his kidneys to him?

That's right maybe Luca can give him the other one.

It's a good thing Patty didn't sleep with Luca, though the guy tried. How many other school girls has this guy preyed on? Not many could resist a superhero

Tofie, "maybe Luca can give him the other one". Thanks for the laugh.

NOOOO! NOT A MIME!!!!

<<<<< Flashbacks of TSTSNBN . . . HEEELLLPPP!!!!>>>>>

Thanks, Nandicta. This really was a recap. A really efficient but top-quality recap.

I feel like Osorio shows need their own separate Telenovela Bingo game. Mime, check. Electrocution complete with zap graphics, check. Character works name of show into conversation in most awkward way possible, check. Stupid costume for no good reason, check. Stooges making lots of indistinct noise to indicate lack of brains combined with agitation, check. Extreme caricature of vapid woman, check. Children doing choreographed dances in random places, check. Childish pranks, check. Family cheer, check. Someone must have Bingo by now.

That is an incredibly dull-looking antro.

That Secret Agent Relocation Service is amazing. They not only managed to pack and ship all the Alegria family's belongings from L.A. in one day, they also got the bedrooms painted in aggressively gender-normed colors. The daughters of Secret Agents needn't forget for even a SECOND that they are PRINCESSY GIRLS who WILL LIKE PINK OR ELSE just because they've suddenly moved into a rental place.

I have been defragmenting my brain and remembered that in PEAM there was also another TRACY who spoke spanglish. Reuse, recycle, REMAKE?

tofie, Jarifa and I are sharing a table, toasting your great "That's right maybe Luca can give him the other one".

Excellent.

There was also a Spanglish-speaking character named Tracey in El Talisman. Apparently telenovela writers think all women who don't speak Spanish fluently are named Tracy.

Thanks God I didnt see that one!!! LOL

It was terrible, but the recaps and comments made it worth it and then some! Actually there were a few awesome scenes in the show, mostly featuring Aaron Diaz, who seemed to figure out that it was a comedy well ahead of the rest of the cast and crew.

My least favorite thing about the mime act was that Ricardo put UNNECESSARY QUOTATION MARKS on the written message he handed to Esperanza. Um, she knows that this is a thing that you are saying to her, dude. You don't need the marks.

At least he didn't write using dubiousmarks:

I "love" you!

I'll boast of having plenty of suitors till Mr tofie suited me but not one mime. Either all those boys and men had no imagination or they inately knew it was stupid and a mood killer.

Nandicta - Thank you for Monday night's recap, and for getting this page up! Monday night, we had to un-record a show due to live hockey game that hubby *had* to watch (LOL) and our DVR had hit its limit for # of shows recording at one time + live TV, so SdA got the axe.

I hate mimes.
Loathe and despise mimes.
I change channels when I see a mime.
However . . . . . CdlF's mime did not creep me out. The guy is a complete genius. His mime is the first one, ever, in my 60+ years, that I actually enjoyed watching.

That said, I never want to see a mime again. Unless it is CdlF.

This is the first Osorio telenovela I've watched beyond fifteen minutes of the first episode. It seems cartoonish and possibly presented as seen through the eyes of a child, because some of the stuff just makes no sense (to me). Ah, well, I'll keep watching. ;-)

"That's right maybe Luca can give him the other one."

BwaHahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!

Seriously, y'all, the comments here are waaay better than the episode was. :-D I am laughing out loud and if the dog was not deaf, I think it would scare her.

You guys! You are good! You're dismantling this Osorio mangled mess with clever unparalleled and sharp wit! Thank you for making this mediocre show an absolute joy to watch :D

I can't play on the Patio too long because I have house guests and dinner is on the stove. I've thought about it and I still like that mime (though I hear your desperation Anon@ 1:23 pm. What's TSTSNBN, by the way?). Maybe it's because I've never seen mimes in TNs before or maybe because Cris de la Fuente was charming... or maybe because I haven't had anyone do grand or silly love gestures to woo me. It's slim pickings out there, I tell ya! I'll take anything that comes from the heart, a mime, a kidney, a musical moustache, a Crayola ice-cream, lo que sea! :D

Thanks for stopping by, you're the best! ;)

So is Ricardo still stuck to that chair? Is he going to somehow turn this into a seductive striptease to get out of those gluepants once the children are gone and Esperanza has come to his rescue? How will he get home without his trousers? What can he wear instead? A classroom flag or map? Construction paper origami skirt? Will SuperKlutzy save the day by making the glue apologize?

"Will SuperKlutzy save the day by making the glue apologize?" Ay, Julia, you made me laugh so hard that my sister-in-law came into the kitchen to check on me! :D

Nandicta, the terrible, awful, kill-me-now horrific mess that was La Gata (slapping my hands over my mouth) is TSTSNBN - The Show That Shall Not Be Named - Viewerville collectively agreed that we wouldn't conjure up even a memory of it by naming it ... and now I'm in trouble!

Anon @ 1:23 (now I really won't give my name 'cause I gave the dreaded title) :-)

As someone who was burned by Latoodle before in her off-every-chart-known-to-man stupid show called "Corazón Indomable", I totally empathize with you, Anon123! I foreswore anything produced by that person for life! That's how I mercifully managed to escape TSTSNBN! She is at the helm of the TN currently airing at 7pm EST, called "Un Camino Hacia El Destino". Some fellow Carayites said that it is a good TN (so far!) but na-ah! I won't watch another Lartilleux production again, even if the entire cast drops in for a cuppa and a chinwag every evening after the episode airs! Never again!

Welcome to our Patio Anon123! If you don't like this pseudonym, you can pick any other one you like! We're happy to have you with us! :)
