Sueño de Amor 60: Ain't Nobody Got Time for That! Well, some do, some don't.
Esperanza doesn’t have time for Ricardo. She's not giving in and telling him the truth.
Ernesto has time for Esperanza. He sat with her for quite a while listening to her and trying to win her over.
Mario has time for Viviana and their blossoming relationship.
Jerónimo has time for the Gallo family as he visits with them as they discuss their problems.
Salma is a fourteen-year-old itching to get her fiesta on, but she doesn’t have time for Kiko.
Ricardo at first doesn’t have time to help at the women’s shelter but then has a change of heart.
Luca doesn’t have time for Pato because a message from la Nacha is freaking him out.
Tracy has time for wine, schemes, and intrigue with Nacha, but no time to be a mom.
La Nacha tells Luca he better make time for her or else!
Ricardo goes on his way after confronting Esperanza (and ultimately calling her a hypocrite which sounds SOOO much worse in Spanish) to get the truth. She feels bad for hurting him. She starts to feel dizzy and Ernesto catches her, helping inside her apartment.
With Iker’s help, Ricardo is tidying up the mess he made in the living room. He doesn’t understand how Esperanza could have faked everything. Iker asks him if she’s doing it for his benefit. Ricardo doesn’t think so. Iker tells him to overcome it and leaves for his mission. The phone rings, and it’s Irene from Nueva Luz, the battered women’s shelter. She asks Ricardo for his help with an abusive husband. Ricardo says he can’t because he going through a lot right now.
Esperanza makes it inside to her bedroom to lie down with the help of Pedro and Ernesto (“You can use me like a cane”—I had to rewind it to hear it again.)
Ricardo has second thoughts and calls Irene telling her that he wants to help and that he’ll be there. Ernesto has brought Esperanza a few useful things: a BP cuff, an electric blanket, and books on her favorite subjects. Luca calls Pato to facetime. She tells him how Ernesto is now Súper Ernesto because he just rescued Esperanza. They talk and she asks him to bring sushi for 6.
Mario shows Viviana the MAPA project, telling her that money is running out. She responds asking how she can help. He stares at her and admits that he admires her. Aww!
Jerónimo is at the Gallo house and tells Erasmo that he can loan him $5000. Erasmo says that he’s being pressured by Sansón about not only the money but also about trying to get Estrella as payment for the loan he made him.
Estrella has brought Kiko to visit Salma. She excuses herself to get some water, but Salma stops her to ask about Adrián. She quickly says he’s progressing and goes to get the water. Kiko smiles at Salma and admits he wanted to show off (presumir) to Salma about the progress with his recuperation. Old Salma is back and is short with Kiko telling him she can’t stay and chat because she has to get ready. Sorry. Kiko is left disappointed.
Ricardo is at Nueva Luz while on the phone with his kids. There are tears when they say goodnight. After they hang up, he checks on them on his phone with the hidden cameras he left the last time he was there.
Esperanza asks Ernesto if he has something more important to do. He tells her that nothing is more important than being with her, that being with her is enough for him, and that he’d give everything to always be by her side. He says he wants a chance to redeem (reivindicar) himself and to change. He wants to be a good man for her.
Luca is surprised about Pedro and Kristel getting together. They eat sushi.
Nacha borrows Kracy’s phone because Luca had blocked her phone, and she wants to send him the recently recovered video of there sexcapades. All is going well for Pedro/Kristel and Luca/Pato as they enjoy their sushi that Luca brought until Luca gets a message. He opens it and is horrified by seeing the video. Pato asks about it, and suddenly he has tummy troubles. No one’s buying it.
Nacha and Kracy relish imagining the reaction to the video. Nacha boasts that Luca is too much man for Pato. Kracy is suddenly Debbie Downer when she offends Nacha by saying Pato is 18 and lovely and maybe they do get their freak on just fine.
Irene fills Ricardo in on the situation with a young woman named Priscilla who’s been at the shelter for 8 months. Ricardo is suddenly saddened when he receives a reminder on his phone of the honeymoon he’s supposed to be on.
Esperanza tells Ernesto that she can’t trust him right off the bat (de buenas y primeras). His pledge to win her trust isn’t enough to get rid of her anger for him abandoning Pato and everything else he did. He promises to always be there for her until the end of his days. Those are choice words to say in front of someone who has three to six months to live. Then he tells her to be calm, that he’ll look out for Pedro and Pato always. He plans to win over Pedro little by little after all, “he doesn’t not like me.” She replies she needs time, something she doesn’t have, in order to forgive him. He blames his father-in-law’s threats to take away everything he had as a reason that kept him away from Esperanza and Pato.
Ricardo learns more abour Priscilla’s threatening ex-husband from Irene. She tells him the police won’t help.
At the Gallo’s, the lights have been cut for non-payment. Jerónimo comments on Kiko being down and finds out it’s because Salma turned him down (batear), blowing him off (mandar a freír espárragos: literally to send someone to fry asparagus). Jerónimo learns about Salma and why Estrella doesn’t like her: (le anda pedaleando la bicicleta a [ella]: literally, pedaling the bicycle at her; figuratively, trying to steal her guy)
At Margarita’s, Salma is putting on makeup before going out. In the living room, Mario and Viviana (Marviana? Vivirio?) are talking about how he took Ernesto’s advice to have an affair, something to him was still cheating even though he was getting a divorce. Salma pops in the living room to declare she’s going out--for pre-drinks (pre copas). (Right, as 14-year-olds do!) To which, Mario says, “But you’re pregnant.” She goes back and forth with him detailing her frustration and ends up storming back to her room when he and Viviana tell her that drinking could hurt the baby, which she doesn’t want to have.
Luca comes back to the dinner table. When Pato asks if he’s okay, he tells her that the sushi didn’t agree with him. She questions him more, and he says he thinks he should go home. She doesn’t buy the bad sushi excuse and follows him to the door, demanding to know straight up (directo y sin escalas) what the deal is.
Over more wine, Kracy tries to calm Nacha’s anxiety about sending the video by asking her to tell her about the novela that is her life. Nacha tells her that her father has no more money because he gave it all as hush money to her mother. She says spent a lot of money looking for him to tell him she’s his daughter.
Back with Pato and Luca, he tells her he can’t talk and it has nothing to do with the message he received. She doesn’t believe him but lets him leave. Inside, Kristel and Pedro tell Pato that there must be something going on because he looked tense and conflicted.
There’s more heated discussion between Kracy and Nacha. Then Selena comes down the stairs to tell her she’s thirsty, but Kracy brushes her off telling to go get some water because she’s talking to a friend. To Kracy’s dismay, Nacha calls her out on it asking her why she had kids if she’s going to treat them like that. Kracy asks her, “What do you know about being a mother?”
Irene gives Ricardo Priscilla’s ex-husband’s address so he can give him a scare using the skills he acquired when he was an agent in law enforcement. After that, she puts him to work on things that need fixing at the shelter while they talk some more.
Esperanza talks to Ernesto about her mortality. Ernesto tells her he understands because he flatlined during his kidney transplant operation. There were no lights, tunnels, or memories flooding in for him. He says that all he thought about was her. Esperanza doesn’t believe him. He says he thought about the time they went to Cancún. Pedro was just a baby then. The happiest day of his life happened when they were in Cancún because that was when Pato was conceived.
Ricardo talks to Irene while he repairs a light switch (with the power on). She tells him his situation with Tracy is very common. Irene asks what else is troubling, but he says that’s another story and that it hurts too much.
Ernesto takes Esperanza’s hand in his and thanks her for letting him be by her side. She abruptly slips her hand out of his. He then turns and asks Pato about Luca, and she tells him he started acting strange after he got a message and then left.
Luca is at home looking at the video. He decides to call Nacha. Nacha tells Kracy about when she got pregnant. Kracy, of course, asks if it was by Luca or Ernesto. Nacha said she didn’t know. [We might need Maury Povich to find out who the father is.] The phone rings. Oh, it’s Luca.
A: Hello, my love.
L: Why did you record us?! Why did you send me the video?! What do you want?!
A: To see you.
L: NO!!!!
A: What you don’t want is for Pato to see the video, or do you?...Where are you?
L: At home.
A: I’m on my way.
L: I swear--
A: (Click. Hangs up the phone.)
(Yeah...Luca...you tell her! What a wuss!)
Ernesto is about to leave and bonds more with Pato over her mom (“Your mom is afraid to die and leave us alone.”) and the problem with Luca.
Kiko tells Erasmo he needs to talk to him about what happened with Estrella when Sansón talked to her.
Mario goes to check on Salma and realizes she left through the window. Salma is at the party living it up.
Nacha arrives at Luca’s and threatens him with sending Pato the video. She tells him she wants red wine while they talk. He goes to get it. Pato calls Luca’s phone which Luca has left out on the ottoman. Nacha answers. Luca runs to take the phone away from her, but Pato hangs up and won’t answer his subsequent calls.
Pato freaks out and breaks a plate. Kristel and Pedro check on her. She tells them “Adefesia” (freak, someone ridiculous), aka Anastasia, answered the phone. [As a side note, if you've never heard the song "Rata de dos patas" sung by Paquita la del Barrio, I recommend it. It has a lot of creative insult words like adefesio.]
Viviana arrives as Luca is throwing out Nacha. He tells her because of Nacha, Pato is mad at him.
Mario calls Kristel to tell her Salma escaped through the window.
Kiko tells Erasmo that Estrella didn’t tell him what Sansón told her, but that she was acting strange: quiet, pensive. Erasmo tells Kiko he has no other choice but to pawn their mother’s gold chain, the last thing of their mother that they have.
Baxter from Interpol calls Ricardo while he’s talking to Irene to tell him that Iker was seriously hurt during the San Luís Potosí operation and that he’s being airlifted to the hospital. They agree to meet there.
Pedro takes some tea to Esperanza and tells her he needs to go with Kristel to help her find Salma. After he leaves, Esperanza goes to talk to Pato. Pato tells her she’s tired of not knowing the truth with Lucas and that he doesn’t trust her. Pato feels bad for complaining. Esperanza tries to be supportive and tells her that she’s going to fight her battle with cancer so that she can be there for her.

Looks like Salma has returned to being herself: the now pregnant and criminal 14 year old self absorbed brat she always was. No surprise she does not care about the baby. Viviana and Mario will probably end up with it.

It was funny: Anastasia wondering why Tracy even ever bothered to have children she treats them so poorly.

“He opens it and is horrified by seeing the video”. I had to smile – the actor’s head literally boomeranged back and forth – he was beside himself. Pato is nothing if not persistent. She won’t rest until she gets to the root of this. I suspect there is another break-up in store.
Erasmo is being so contemplative, he is scaring me. Why I could hardly take a second to sneak a glance at his biceps. Oh dear.
My biggest fear (speculation only) is that Pato and Luca will break up and Erasmo will take the opportunity to make (yet another) futile stab at love with Pato. Ack.

Diana, ITA that there could still be redemption with the Ernesto character at least in his relationship with Esperanza. Weirder stuff has happened so far in this story.

Through many years of watching TNs, I have learned two things: Expect the unexpected and never say never. Far worse characters than Ernesto have been redeemed.
I like that he is Pato's father (she clearly now adores him) as well as Luca's (in principal if not bio) and Adrian's as well. I like this atypical family.
Ricardo may very well end up with someone with a young child, but of course I haven't the slightest clue as to who that might be. :)

But hey if it works, it could shake espy out of her craziness. Besides after erny has gotten the prize (espy), he'll loose interest. He likes to win.
Brake up number 5? Pato & loopy luca. All he has to do is tell her those tapes are the past. But this is a tn, so the stupidness is for effect. So we prepare for a long drawn out seperation between pato and loopy luca. Cuz hes actin like He's afraid of this skank (nacha). Well, here we go.
Now what is espy going to do if that cocktail pedro is giving her actually woroks? Yes I know its cancer but again this is a tn. Romantic comedy. TV. It could happen. And it probably will. Cuz those two are the heroin and the galan. They Almost always come out the winners.
Tracy Is just plain krazy. Those poor kids. Somebody needs to rell her about being a good mother, cuz she knows nothing. She is Only wanting to one up ricky, but the kids suffer. Shes a horrible parent. Half these people are crazy and half are just wingin it. Pick which half is which. That would probably take longer than the tn has left, so yall lets just wing it.
