Yago, #21, Wednesday 6/15/16: Yago Strikes Again
Camilo meets his goons (including Tomas Vargas, the loan shark) on the roof of the building. He asks who let the kid get away. As the guilty party begs for his life, Camilo orders one of his other goons, a man called El Chino, shoot him in the head. Chino protests weakly, but complies. Then Camilo orders Chino to jump off the roof. Chino protests a little more strongly. Camilo holds up a photo of Chino's wife, Jesusa. Camilo says that if Chino doesn't fall off the roof, they'll rape and torture his wife to death. Chino jumps off the roof.
After receiving the positive paternity test result, Yago steps outside for a petit meltdown. He's remembering Omar's night with Sara all those years ago. Sara has followed him outside, to thank him for rescuing Matias. Yago muses that he always wanted to have a family of his own. Confused, Sara says he still can. Yago says he doesn't think so, and testily tells her to go in the house with her husband and child.
Mati asks Lucio and Sara why it was Yago and not Daddy who took him home from the kidnappers. Fraidy-cat Lucio says they all worked together to secure Mati's release.
Discreetly, Yago tells Sara, "you have everything. I don't know what you want from me."
Lucio is on the phone with Melina. He tells her she can't see Mati today because "we want to be alone as a family." Ambar is taken aback by Lucio's cold attitude. She and Yago leave.
Melina tells Jonas, "our grandson is safe." Bruno picks up on the word "grandson"; Melina says, well, he's like a grandson. Bruno texts Alejandra that Mati is safe.
Ale is at a poker game, watching Damian. Damian gets a call from Chino's wife, telling Dam that Chino is dead. Dam leaves. Ale follows.
Yago is at Fidel's, looking for the titles to the house and the casino. He tells Fidel that Mati is definitely his; he has proof now. (Selma remembers Katia's unexpected request to see Mati and realizes that must have been how they got the sample.) Yago definitely still plans to destroy Sara and Lucio, but he wants to protect his son first. But Fidel has hidden those papers away.
Mati admits to his parents that he was maybe just a little bit scared. Lucio, the fraidy-cat, says a little fear can save your life. Mati wants ice cream. Sara offers to go out and get it. She says she needs fresh air. "Fresh air? In this city?" Lucio asks suspiciously.
Ambar has gone to Abel's house. She was worried because he wasn't picking up the phone. He seems both drunk and hung over; he's still drinking. He misses the kid. When Ambar says that Yago rescued Mati, Abel's mood gets even worse and he asks her to leave. Before she goes, however, Ambar asks him for Melina's address.
Teo admits to Fidel that he was uneasy about Abel nearly getting killed in the process of saving Teo's life.
Sara goes to Yago's house and asks what he was so angry about. He says he doesn't like sharing her. Well, she doesn't like to see him kissing Ambar, either! Yago says that's different, because "you are the one I want." He pushes her against the table, which is covered with papers that Yago was supposedly looking at before, and Sara loses a shoe in the scuffle.
Sara replies: "I only want to be with you." Yago: "Tell me you're mine!" Sara: "I'm yours." Yago: "Tell me you'll leave Lucio." He knocks all the papers off the table as he presses her down. I say why bother clearing the papers off when the ones that are already underneath her are about to get totally destroyed anyway, but it's a nice dramatic gesture. Oh boy is this hot.
Later, Sara puts her shoe back on and asks Yago if he was serious about wanting her to leave Lucio. "I always speak seriously," Yago replies seriously. "I don't want anyone else to touch you." Sara leaves.
Ambar goes to Melina's house with cookies. She asks Melina if it's true Sara broke Omar's heart. Melina says yes, Sara broke his heart. She sent him to prison unjustly, and he died there. Sara broke the hearts and lives of everyone. "We trusted her, and she destroyed our family." Then Melina backpedals, maybe she shouldn't have said all those things. But Ambar says she's sick of being "protected," and appreciates hearing the truth.
Katia expresses doubt about Yago's tactics. Yago reiterates that Sara sent him to prison and denied him the chance to be a father and see his child to grow up. At least Omar had the right to know about his son. (Yago is drinking.) Katia asks, Yago speculates that Lucio probably thinks he's Mati's real dad. Surely Sara would have told him so. Katia snidely asks what else he has planned for his revenge, besides being Sara's sex toy. Yago says, "Sex is power. You know that better than anyone." He says he will dominate Sara and then when she least expects it, he will take everything away. She'll be alone with no husband and no child, because he will have Matias. Yago will take everything away from Sara that she took from him. He then asks Katia to pick up all the papers and file them!
Jesusa tells Damian that supposedly, Chino killed the other guy because he suspected him of having an affair with her. But she and Damian both suspect otherwise.
Teo brings Abel a gift as thanks for saving his life. I can't tell what it is, but it's shiny.
Yago goes to Melina's, not realizing that Ambar is there. (Where is her car?) Ambar is surprised to see Yago and Melina share a warm embrace. Yago quickly explains that Lucio seemed a bit cold on the phone with Melina, so he wanted to see her personally. Ambar is so impressed!
Sara is at the mall, carrying a couple of shopping bags. On the phone, she tells Lucio that she was shopping for him and Mati, and was stuck in traffic. She gets a text from Yago: I want to make you scream until you can't take any more. This inspires her to purchase some lingerie.
Ambar and Yago visit with Julia, who says she used to have nightmares about being kidnapped as a child and had to have therapy to get over that fear. Then her dad (Camilo) calls. "Oops, sorry Dad, I forgot." Dad's coming! Thus Yago meets Camilo, who tells Julia that "it" (the ribbon-cutting ceremony, I presume, not the rooftop party afterwards) went great. They make small talk about how Ambar and Yago met (the suitcase story). Yago says it was just luck that he happened to be dining with the Sarquis couple that night. Camilo remarks that they became one of the richest couples in the country really fast, and Julia hastens to mention that Ambar is Sara's sister. That shuts that conversation down fast!
Jesusa identifies her husband's body. Damian remembers Chino as the man who nabbed him and said his boss was "impressed" with Damian's antics and put him up to the casino heist. Damian doubts that Chino killed himself voluntarily.
Lorenzo returns to Abel's apartment. He couldn't go through with the trip to the States. It felt as though he would be leaving Abel "forever" (which is the best idea anyone's ever had on this show). Abel says that's how it should be. But Lorenzo is so pitiful, all he wants is to be family with Abel.
Abel's phone rings. Abel ignores the call, but Lorenzo sees Lucio's name on the phone before Abel can snatch it away from him.
Alejandra goes to el Chino's visitation and introduces herself as "Susana." Making sure Damian is there to see, she hands Jesusa a note. She says it's a bill for a debt that Chino owed her. Jesusa scolds Ale and chases her out. Damian follows her and says the old-debt scam is the oldest, cheapest trick in the book. "Susana" says she hasn't had any luck with the better scams. Damian introduces himself as "Rufino" and offers to mentor her.
Lucio rifles through Sara's purchases, looking for clues. He finds nothing of interest in the bags that are out in the open, but he finds the bag with the lingerie hidden in a wardrobe. (How can a woman with so many clothes have such an empty-looking wardrobe? Teach me, Sara, teach me!)
Lorenzo is having another nightmare about his father's shooting. He hears one assailant call the other "Lucio." Lorenzo remembers seeing "Lucio" on the phone. (If there is only one man named Lucio in all of Mexico, I can see how this might be a problem!)
After the visit with Julia, Ambar invites Yago back to her room. Yago says no, he wants to give the family some "space."
Camilo asks his peeps to check into Yago's background. "Find out if he's FBI or KGB."
Sara is dressed to go out. She tells Lucio she's going to see her friend Constanza. Lucio wants to use her phone to check out her story, but she calls his bluff and shames him into backing off. She leaves.
Melina adds a photo of Mati to the family portrait collection.
Lucio checks the lingerie bag in the wardrobe. It's empty.
"I don't want anyone else to touch me," Sara says as she gets into Yago's car. "I want to be with you tonight and every night of my life." They have car sex, which should be cramped and awkward, but they manage to make it look hot.
Next time: Lucio spies.

Ay, looks like Monday, June 27, Yago moves to UniMas at midnight.
I was actually very ok with Melina telling Ambar who Omar was and what Sara did to him. I hate that she's so in the dark about the crookedness of her sister (and Lucio and Abel). And since Jonas didn't even blink when she called Matias their grandson, it didn't seem to be a big deal, because they have always thought of him that way, since they consider Lucio a son. Yago coming to her house to see her was the indiscretion and he had to do a bit of a song and shuffle to cover that.
Camilo is a very BAD man! How has Damian survived not getting killed by his jefe Camilo all these years? He doesn't take mistakes lightly.
Gobluefan. Agree Yago doesn't have to do this and believe he's a gonner and Sara has all the control. She had his number before and nothing has changed. I cannot stand to watch it since every time I see Ivan slither on top a woman it reminds me of a monitor lizard.
I'm very impressed with Alejandra but I wonder if she understands the danger and why is she really doing this (for Bruno, for the thrill, justice?)
Tofie: My prediction is that Ambar will dump Yago when she finds out he's been knocking up Sara. The previews for the next episode show Lucio seeing Yago & Sara together tells me this is going to get UGLY.
I do NOT see Alejandra making it to the Gran Final before too long because she's a little kid playing with fire when we all know whenever you play with fire, you get burned.
Vivi: Now we see Camilo digging up dirt on Yago & his background: this doesn't look too good.
You know we're going to see the political corruption in this conspiracy before too long. I mean we've got the mafia, Lucio, Sara & Abel, Fidel, etc.,
Niecie: Sara still has the control like she's always had & Yago is too dumb enough to realize it.
I feel like I shouldn't even get invested in the story anymore since once again, the show is moving to a site I can't access soon. I was frustrated last night with Yago, the game of getting Sara in the sack, leading Ambar on...it's getting stupid and I agree, he's the one who's going to fall and start justifying why, just maybe, he can reform sara and they can have the happy family from once upon a time. Poor delusional idiot.
And Lorenzo now has a memory name. Lucio is about to get it on all fronts.

TvGuide has it coming on at 10pm on Univision June 27th.
Zap2it has it coming on at 12am on UniMas June 27th.
Univision was bound and determined to get rid of this show. I'm glad I kept my Hulu subscription.
Back to the show:
It's not Ambar's business what went down between Sara & Omar, or Sara & Lucio for that matter. Mind your business.
Alejandra is playing a very dangerous game.
Hate sex is hot sex.
Did Julia say she had been having nightmares about being kidnapped and she had to go to therapy to get over it? Could this be a clue that Julia is Selma/Fidel's daughter?
Camilo came in with a bang! I wonder if Yomar even understands how big thie game is, and how small a pawn he is?
"Did Julia say she had been having nightmares about being kidnapped and she had to go to therapy to get over it? Could this be a clue that Julia is Selma/Fidel's daughter?"
Yes she did, and yes it's a BIG clue.
Camilo is way too cruel for a boss. Everybody working for him is nuts. Just goes to show how shrewd Damien must be not to wind up in his crosshairs. But with Camilo's cruelty and power trip, I do see why Fidel wants revenge. Camilo makes Fidel look like a pussycat.
Here is how I see Yago's plan: seduce Sara, get her to leave Lucio, marry her, ruin and discredit Lucio, adopt Mati, ruin Sara, ride off into the sunset with Mati.
I don't think he has any warm or soft feelings towards Sara at all. Just chemistry. That doesn't mean he might not weaken later on, but I don't think he's anywhere near the danger zone yet.
I'm sure he'll learn his lesson about revenge, but by then everyone will be dead and it will be too late to fix anything.
Fie on Univision if they move Yago to Unimas. I'll remember this the next time a new, promising TN begins. Fool me twice, shame on me.
I kept the DVR on UniMas just in case.
Regarding the conflicting schedules, UniMas was showing repeats of Yago before. I remember my dvr coming on at 8pm one night and it was because Unimas was showing a repeat Yago episode. I hate how they keep moving it!
I hope Yago tells Fidel that he met Camilo but does Yago know Camilo is behind the murder of Fidel's children? I can't remember if that detail was fully explained to him.
I think Ambar deserves to know the crimes committed in her name. Sara and Damian used Ambar's health to justify what they did to Omar. She should know.
When I said that Melina had been indiscreet, mainly I was thinking about the "nieto" slip-up. Jonas didn't think anything of it, but Bruno was all over it. That boy's got a nose for news. And now Mati joins the family on the mantle - I wonder if anyone will raise an eyebrow at that.
I don't know what Alejandra is up to. More than anything, I think she enjoys playing Nancy Drew and being sneaky and clever. She can say she's doing this for Bruno, but I think that's secondary to an inborn urge to sleuth. She's got enough guts for three people put together. Even pretending to try to collect a debt from a grieving widow is quite daring, not to mention tacky.
Yago is assuming that Lucio doesn't know Mati is Omar's child. He's thinking this is another example of Sara's trickery. He'll be that much madder when he finds out that Lucio knew all along that he was raising Omar's child. (No, I don't think he will be grateful "thank you for raising my son to be such a nice boy.")
That roof scene was crazy. He made you shoot your friend (okay), but then jump off a roof and kill yourself. Dang!
Sara is going down in flames with gasoline lingerie on.
Could anybody tell what Teo's gift to Abel was?
Ambar needs to ask herself, if she found out the complete truth, then what? How does she use/process this information? Does she turn in Sara & Co to the police? Does she try to make it up to Omar? Does she tell Matias (someone else who is benefitting from Sara & Co's crimes--he wouldn't be riding fancy horses without Sara & Co being grimy)? Does she pay Lucio back for all of her healthcare & fancy education? Does she stop living at Sara's luxury house and using Sara's money to buy her little Anthropologie wardrobe?
Does Ambar finally make her own way and stop having her life be financed by Sara & Lucio?
When Ambar gets the truth, what is she going to do with it? Because if all she's going to do is pout & hold it over Sara's head while still having her life being financed, it's pointless. She already knows Sara & her dad are shady thanks to Lucio (even though she doesn't know the details) but she's still up in Sara's house, eating Sara's food, sleeping on Sara's sheets and wearing Sara's dresses.
Sara herself will not tell Ambar anything, which should be a clue that Sara is, in fact, shady.
What Ambar wants to know is exactly how shady Sara is so Ambar can decide how much shadiness AMBAR can live with and still have Sara & Lucio finance her lifestyle. Ambar could find out all of Sara's crimes but I'd bet she'd still be up in Sara & Lucio's house eating Sara & Lucio's food.
The ONLY information that's going to prompt Ambar into making a choice is the information that Yago & Sara are having an affair. And that's really the only information she needs.
If Sara & Lucio's shadiness bothers Ambar so much, she can leave at any time; she got offered a job around the world. If Sara refuses to be truthful & that's not something you can abide by, that's all the information you need. LEAVE.
Vivi: I think Teo has been having friend feelings for Abel for a little while. I think Abel saving his life has cemented that. Poor Teo. Now he's going to feel like he's between a rock and a hard place. How to stay loyal to Yago and Fidel and Abel. And if Fidel is asks him to do something against Yago--who is he supposed to choose? Katia's in the same boat, there.
Luckily Yago's move doesn't really affect me since I don't watch the eps until the next day anyway after they moved it to 10:00. However, I don't like it because it's tough on a lot of you. Some people don't get Unimas, I know (assuming that's where it's going). Recappers are going to be especially affected. And, frankly, it's not fair to the viewers to keep pre-empting it and moving it around.
Nanette
I keep thinking about the Shakespearian connection. Omar takes on the name (and the persona?) not of an avenging hero, but of a sly, malevolent villain. If Omar is Iago, then Lucio and Sara must – in his version – be Othello and Desdemona. And let's remember that after Othello murders Desdemona in a jealous rage, convinced that she has been unfaithful to him, he takes his own life. Is this what will happen to Lucio and Sara?
And yes, Vivi and Anon, Julia's nightmares and phobias about being kidnaped are a huge clue, especially on the heels of Selma's reaction to Yago's revelation that Matías is his child. "Imagine learning that your child has been raised by your worst enemy." Imagine.
You're cracking me up, Julie..."going outside for a petit meltdown". That adjective with that noun is hilarious. As was "oh boy, this is hot".
But whoa...not sure I can watch this episode. Camilo as a character is almost more than I can bear, even keeping in mind that this is fiction. Because clearly the news shows that there are many real Camilos in this world. And they're gaining in power.
Well, deciding to watch Yago may cease to be a problem anyway. I'm pretty sure we don't have Unimas in our already pricey cable package, and there's no guarantee that Hulu will show it if it drops off Univision. Or is there?
At any rate, thoroughly enjoyed your recap. May or may not watch later.
I also think the Julia and Matias stories are parallel, but I hope that we see the folly of Fidel and better choices and outcome for Yago.
I'm totally hooked on this novela; it's my favorite of all I've seen in a very long time, yes, including Hotel. I can't believe how Univision has jerked us around and can only hope it'll stay on hulu.
Thanks to all the recappers and commenters! I haven't commented before and I missed the beginning so I had to catch up, but have enjoyed the postings.
I am furious about the flip flopping TV guides. It's no problem for me that the show is getting moved because I watch on demand but it is for others that watch and recapthe show. They cannot even do scheduling properly . I want to burn Univision alive for the night is dark and full of terror.
I keep thinking that Yago's schemes with Sara will backfire. Both Yago and Sara are doing it out of self interest . Yago holds dominion over nothing. If Yago survives until the end I doubt he will find true love. Matias cannot be protected by few pieces of paper.
I predicted that Camilo was behind the first kidnapping but didn't expect to find them true. It's kind of funny that both Fidel& Camilo had an indirect reunion through kidnapping plots. What an delicious irony. The casino feud may have began because of their feud . Damian was just an helpful idiot.
Damian may not be the ultimate mastermind but he is still dangereous and will no doubt ruin Ale's life. I don't believe she will make it through.
I honestly liked Turkish Sara more. The actress potrayed her sadness, happiness, anger, distress and cruelty from one scene to another masterfully. The only feeling i hold for Sara is absolute hatred.
I don't think Dam will ruin Ale's life. I think she will ruin his. He, the king of the con artists, can't tell that he's being conned because she opened with the feeble dead-guy debt scam. So he figures she doesn't know what she's doing. Isn't that how card and pool sharps work their game? They pretend not to know anything about the game, and end up winning everything. THAT is the oldest trick in the book. Shame on Damian (and LOL, too) for taking the bait. Ale may indeed be an amateur, but she still knows something that he doesn't even suspect. If she can continue to play dumb, I think she'll beat him. (She'll probably need help, though.)
You're right about Fidel using Yago, who is an IDIOT.
thanks for this nifty recap. I've always admired your writing and like Judy, I was captivated by this:
"...Yago steps outside for a petit meltdown."
I still haven't made up my mind as to what to think of Sara. At first she seemed to be almost irredeemably evil but as we learn more and mre about her the more complex and inscrutable she seems to me. I'm wondering if she is not so damaged by her early life that she has come to deem it necessary to align herself with whoever appears to be the most powerful regardless of what her heart may tell her. Initially she seemed to be completely in love with Omar and yet joined up with Lucio. Now, She has a pretty good life with Lucio but that may be unraveling and thus she may have decided to hitch her wagon to Yago... or not.
I simply despise Yago. He is all too willing to place not only innocents, but also those he loves, at risk in pursuit of his selfish vengeance.
This afternoon we watched last night's episode of Night Shift and lo and behold there was a young woman (one of the patients featured) who was found to be suffering from Brugada syndrome (and her father as well). I would never have guessed that it was so common, especially after 40 years of medical practice and having never even heard of it. Makes me wonder how many cases I may have missed.
Carlos
well heck, now I'm going to have to tune in to Tres Veces Ana since it's been awhile since I've seen Laisha Wilkins in anything. Clueless long-time girlfriend? What a waste.
Judy,
thanks. I've been keeping up with the shows, the recaps, and the comments. We've been busy doing Summer things and as you know, we've been dealing with a bit of wet weather here.
Carlos
When Sara was dating Omar, but before her father came back into her life, she seemed prepared to live her life on the straight and narrow. Of course her father manipulated her, and that's how she justifies the choice she made. But it was still a choice, no fair blaming it on Dad. It was her decision to pick a dishonest life over the kind of life that Omar was offering. She's stood by that decision for 12 years. So, yes I feel sorry for her that she's such a sad mess and lost such an opportunity, but she did that to herself.
Alas, Sara is not Sara's only victim. She betrayed Omar and now she's ready to betray Lucio too. She doesn't stop betraying people. It's going to cost her, and that seems fair enough to me.
And yes, I think you would enjoy 3xAna, at least in small doses.
Sara is certainly a puzzle. But clearly maternity is not her top thing. That happy reunion with Mathias was about 30 seconds before she went off shopping for some hot lingerie. I do believe she loves her son, but she loves hot, illicit sex more. If given a choice, she's going for Yago. At the moment anyway.
I wonder how the story would play out if Televisia ever made a telenovela about the subject?
Carlos
Carolina, I've been holding back (there's the recency effect and all), but I'm inclined to agree with you: "I'm totally hooked on this novela; it's my favorite of all I've seen in a very long time, yes, including Hotel." I just hope it's allowed to play out on Unimas and that it's available online for those who don't have access to that channel.
JudyB, shucks, I've missed you too! I hope you manage to find your way to the show and the discussions, in spite of the nasty (in the show and in the corporate offices at Univisión).
And yes, here's Carlos too, "not sure what to think" of the morally challenged Sara but unhesitating to affirm that he "simply despises" Yago. Now it's a party!
Carlos: I noticed it, too, that Mati ran straight to his papa. One thing you have to say for Lucio, he loves that little boy.
As far as I'm concerned, Sara killed every possibility of empathy, present or future, when she lied to Ámbar in Punta Azul (sp?) and pretended that Yago cancelled their date AFTER she helped her little sister buy a new dress for said date. That particular glimpse into her cold selfish soul sealed it for me. The only thing that could've potentially made me feel bad for Sara was her immense and unconditional love for her little sister that made her commit that unforgivable injustice towards Omar. However, we never got to see that love because Sara didn't hesitate one bit to betray her sister. From the first kiss shared with Yago to their latest session of slap-and-tickle, Sara didn't show any hesitation or remorse. I dislike this character very much but I'm enjoying her portrayal by Gaby de la Garza.
We finally got to meet Camilo and the guy knows how to make an entrance! I love me a good baddie and Camilo promises to deliver. I still prefer (and root for) Fidel but I look forward to seeing more of Camilo in the coming episodes.
I have a couple of questions that confuse me and would be grateful if you can help me clarify them:
1) Fidel had 3 children and an ex-wife (Rebeca or Raquel, I think her name was). Is Fabiana Fidel and Selma's little girl, while the two boys are Fidel's kids with his ex?
2) Forgive my ignorance, but how did Melina manage to send Yago text messages from the smartphone he gave her if she can't see? Also, how did she frame Mati's photo and put it on the mantle if nobody helped her pick the photo out?
Watching Alejandra makes me tense. I feel like she is blind-folded while tightrope walking over shark-infested waters.
Thanks again, Julie! :)
Welcome Kendra and Caroline! Please grab a seat and make yourself at home.
Welcome back NovelaMaven and Carlos! Always a pleasure to read your insights.
“El poder te convierte en Dios y ser Dios es adictivo."*
* Camilo explains the main perk of absolute power, (other than absolute corruption): "Power turns you into God and being God is addictive."
Blind people can send text messages if their phone does voice recognition. (AFAIK, most do.) I don't find that so mysterious. We do have to assume, however, that she has a soundproof room where she can do these things without being heard by Bruno and Jonas.
Your second question is much harder. Me, I wondered what kind of thrill she got out of stroking the frame and the glass over Mati's picture. The picture's not embossed!!
here's just a few of the problems I have with Yago:
His stupidity is mind-boggling. He joins up with the gangster Fidel, placing blind faith in this borderline lunatic to the point of submitting to potentially dangerous appearance altering surgery and renouncing his identity and family for a harebrained vengeance scheme which endangers numerous innocent parties including his own family. Then, when he begins by essentially wiping out his opponents by cleaning them out in a poker game... and then inexplicably returns what he has won when it should have been:
game over...Next!
He's found out that Matias is his son and seems perfectly capable of utterly destroying this kid's life in his pursuit of revenge.
He has no compunction about manipulating the affections of an innocent and (need I remind us?) gravely ill young woman, Ambar.
Finally (for now) I have no patience or regard for anyone who seeks to use sex as a means of extracting revenge. I think that is basically a form of rape.
Carlos
As Omar/Yago learns more about the TRUTH in all its complexity and shadings, he becomes an increasingly reluctant participant in the grand scheme. Yes, he has behaved badly and continues to do so, as you point out quite clearly. He is no white-hat. (In this story, nobody is.) But if he were, then it might not be a very interesting story...
Your assessment of Yago is fair. It's hard for me to accept that Yago never questioned Fidel's motives. However, I can see where Yago might have been too embittered by his own experience to think much beyond that. No doubt Fidel was effective at keeping Yago's rage fresh. I think the same, continually-refreshed rage is blinding him also to the effect that his maneuvers will have on Mati, who still has every reason to believe that his parents are awesome people. I do like, though, that Yago is slowly waking up to the reality of his situation.
But yeah, he's behaving badly with Mati and with Ambar. (On the other hand, Ambar has been meeting him much more than halfway, so she's knowingly exposing herself to undue harm.) At least he's tried to keep Bruno out of trouble, but Alejandra has eluded his radar completely and she is in great danger, even if I personally think she will be spared irreversible damage.
Next question: What is the deal with Julia? She seems to be as much in the dark about her father as Ambar is about her family. More so, actually. She's already cheated death at Fidel's hands, and doesn't even know it. How far are we going to go with Julia?
(Totally not into Ana tonight, way too mad at Univision right now)
For that matter, thanks everyone else too. I feel like we're a big support group for one another, the unwanted renegades of Univision's prime-time lineup.
