SILVANA – JUEVES – Parte 1 de 2

Yawn…more of the scene with Stella and the dog shrink. She tells him all the crackpot things she did to try to get Manuel back. She also rattles on with the same crap she’s said hundreds of times. She and Manuel were in love until Chivis came along. She says that the worst is that Chivis is married. When he suggests that Chivis and Manuel must be in some sort of relationship, she argues vehemently.

The dog doc volunteers to treat Stella along with Javito. [Well, she is una perra.

Majo has zero ability to meditate on her problems alone. She calls Vicente because she just HAS to tell him about AJ being at their house. Vicente reminds her of yesterday’s passionate kiss.

Andrés seeks out Lucha at the college. She’s quite cold to him. She tells him that she never said the things she said to him to any other man. And what she gets from him is what a good friend she is. She again says she’s not plato de segunda mesa (second fiddle). He finally says he’s going to forgive Majo. Lucha gets up, furious, and says that, of course, he’ll call her when they fall out again; and, of course, she’ll listen to him again.

Stella comes into Manuel’s office and snarks about his having gone to the beach with la vecina. She tells him that she felt really bad when she heard about this, but now she’s decided to go to therapy. He’s fairly happy to hear this until she adds that this will improve their “relationship”. [Gah!] She keeps ragging on him to come to therapy with her. He doesn’t say yes and he doesn’t say no.

Juanito invites Poncho to meet some guy who’s a great public speaker. Poncho is dubious when he thinks it’s a church. Juanito says his family comes here and mentions something about alaba el supremo (praise the supreme one). This set-up looks VERY non-denominational! The guy, Jonas, comes home, and Poncho ogles his shapely daughter while a telenovela chorus sings in the background.

Andrés consults Angie at the charter school. Angie wusses out and doesn’t outright tell him she believes Majo is in love with Vicente. Instead she alludes to the big change in Majo’s life recently. She also tells him that she doesn’t think being a virgin until married is all that important any more.

At Casa Chivis Trini has cracked open some champagne and is burbling on about how happy she is to have AJ there. She mentions that she feels they’ll soon be back in the mansion. The jerk says that he suffered being away from his family and is now happy to be reunited. Chivis gives him the stink eye and doesn’t join the champagne toast.

AJ announces that Trini is going to give him her room. This appears to be a surprise to Trini. And that Trini will sleep with Chivis. Chivis seems to be fine with this. [Why, Chivis? Surely you don’t want him to be comfortable? Or have you suffered brain damage?]

SILVANA – JUEVES – Parte 2 de 2

We get a rather dumb scene with Pedrito and Manuel. All I could gather is that Pedrito is hoping Chivis will reunite with her husband and that he, Pedrito, will get to go to Key West. [Anyone else glean anything from this scene?]

Alejandra shows up without calling first and to grope Vicente and distract him from his studies. He tries so hard to get rid of her that she decides he’s gay.

Casa de Three Stooges….boring….Poncho has a beatific expression and has apparently joined the church [or is it a cult?]. Dom and Stella make fun of him.

Andrés comes to see Majo. He says he loves her and has decided to forgive her. They’re getting married. [Is this an endless loop?]

AJD [Antonio José the Despicable] is snooping through Chivis’ closet when he hears Manuel calling her from his balcony. The jerk comes out and asks him if he was calling his wife. Manuel just says he was getting some air. [Why don’t these people ever listen to me? What Manuel should have said was that he was sure that Chivis was separated.] Still evading, Manuel tells him that they talk about work on the balcony.

AJD makes some broad hint about having four beauties living alone and maybe some picaflor (literally hummingbird; colloquially Don Juan) would be coming around. Manuel tells him the people in this neighborhood are decent. AJ keeps calling him Manolito and trying to be buddies. He suggests they play tennis, or golf, or polo. Manuel says he only plays soccer and that rarely because of work. Then AJ says he’s into martial arts and strikes a judo pose while corny Asian music plays.

AJD then says he has to make up for lost time with his family, especially his wife (lewd wink).

Vicente, of course, has to kiss Ale to show he’s not gay. This just eggs her on and she’s trying to get him to take her home. But when Majo and Andrés come out of the house next door, Ale is all ¡Hola, guapo! directed at Andrés. Majo bristles and tells her that Andrés is her boyfriend, rather her fiancé, and they’re getting married in a couple of days. [God, she’s thoughtless. She has to say this in front of Vicente.]

Ale pipes up that she wants to be Vicente’s guest at the wedding. Majo, snotty, says that the wedding will only be for family and close friends. Vicente is going to drive Ale home and Majo doesn’t look very happy.

AJD tells Majo he’ll resolve things with Andrés parents and will walk her down the aisle.

At Casa Three Stooges, Javito appears to have escaped.

Sin Senos (wednesday) 77

it's morning, Hilda wakes up Alberio to milk the cows, and later brings him something to drink, meanwhile Cata and Hernan, faking sleep get up and kiss, when Alberio discovers they are alone he runs back, but Hernan is again faking sleep.

Daniela and Yesica share a mirror doing their makeup chatting about how nice it will be to see Cata die at the funeral.

Vanessa mourns the loss of her daughter, Jota reassures her Adriana will find peace when Daniela is dead, Vanessa swears she will kill her, Jota says he will, god willing.

Anibal gets the Capitan alone, makes a proposal, he tells of taking the safe, wants the Capitan to kill Yesica, the Capitan says he will think about it, nope, if you leave this room without deciding you will be my enemy, Anibal says, I will have to kill you and all your family.

Ximena and Vale show up at Vanessa's, Vale tells of Pipe's letter, Jota will go with her to get it.

Hernan works with the orchids on the finca, Belen is impressed.

the Capitan agrees to kill Yesica, and while we are being honest Daniela is a brat, and proposes they kill them both, but he wants half the inheritance, 40% and it's a deal.

Yesica's hit men prepare for the cemetery killing, each with a bouquet of flowers to blend in and hide their weapons, and shown pictures of Cata's family, Alberio needs to be taken alive.

Titi leaves to see Marcial, Martina's mom Paola will be returning tomorrow.

Daniela and Yesica come marching out in step, and leave with the Capitan for front row seats at the cemetery, but first she tells Anibal not to go anywhere.

Vanessa Jota, Vale, and Ximena go to where the wake was, for one last look, but Jota leaves.

Hilda, Alberio, Cata, and Hernan leave the finca to go to the funeral, but first Cata gets her gun, Hernan already has his and doesn't want Cata to carry one, she does anyway, putting it in her purse.

Titi arrives at Marcial's sleaze hotel, he's not in his room, he's on the roof ready to jump, Titi rushes up the stairs, no elevator in that dump.

Cata and family arrive at the wake, Vale tells of Pipe's letter, Hernan gets a call from Daniela on the phone she bought him, turns it off, ah, Yesica sets the Capitan to locating him by it.

Silvana

Wow, novelera, your recap was a LOT more interesting than the episode. Had you been more pressed for time, you could have stopped after "Yawn." :-)

I loved your asides, especially how fitting it is that the doggy doc offers to treat Stella along with Javito: "[Well, she is una perra]. And "[Is this an endless loop?]" increasingly applies to the entire novela.

You ask whether Jonas' group is a church or a cult. I'm often not sure of the difference. In this case, I think both words seem right. Also, I found myself wondering whether Poncho might actually transfer his needy love to Jonas' shapely daughter and forget about Stella. I'd love to see that happen. I'm really in no mood for any of the trio of perras to be redeemed, not Margarita, not Stella, and not even Trini.

I applauded Angie's telling Andrés that being a virgin at marriage is no longer so important (and he seems to have taken it to heart (or wherever), since I think he then said something similar to Majo (where I think his meaning is clear :-) ). However, I too was disappointed that Angie wussed out of telling Andrés that Majo really loved Vicente.

And talk about being disappointed...why would Chivis or Trini agree to the sleeping arrangement AJD announces without even consulting with them first?

Finally, I hope Javito really has escaped--for good. Unlikely, but one can always hope.

SILVANA

novelera - Thank you for the recap and especially for suffering thru having to watch this episode! And thank you for the phrase translations. You delivered the much deserved snark at the tontería, too..

This whole thing appears to be a dreaded "filler episode", and every. single. character. (well, maybe not Vicente) is wearing his/her telenovela beanie hat. Especially Chivis, if she is allowing AJD (love that one, too!) to call the shots on the sleeping arrangements in HER HOME.

Dear Chivis, how will your daughters learn what is acceptable behavior from a man when you let AJD waltz into your home and get away with all his @ssholery and douchebaggery? Kick that guy to the curb, please.

Novelera- Thank you so much for this great recap. I find myself not gravitating towards this show right now. Instead, I finally began watching Season 3 of Jane the Virgin. Much more entertaining!

If only this show were nears its end, then I would have hope that some of these situations would be resolved soon, but there are just SO MANY weeks left! Anyway, can’t believe Chivis let AJ dictate the sleeping arrangements in her home. Seriously? And do they all know he’s just out on bail, yet? Last episode it seemed that they all believed him that he had been set free/absolved. I can understand Lupita not understanding the difference, but everyone else seems awfully naïve to not have more questions about his legal situation.

SILVANA

I think everyone immediately capitulating to AJ's demands speaks volumes about what life in the mansion must have been like.
Minor peeve- has anyone noticed that Chivis has had the exact same manicure since day one? Did they shoot this whole thing in s week?!
I'm increasingly tired of the merry-go-round that is this Telenovela. Nothing much seems to happen, and when it does, it repeats itself biweekly.

SILVANA--
Thank you, J, novelera and Juanita. I've been keeping up with the, yes, tonteria you must accurately report and thus, can skip through the visuals. So far I agree with all the comments on AJD and all the rest of the bunch.

Why doesn't TM chop this one up, be done with it and save us the boredom of waiting those interminable weeks till we get to the Manuel and Chivis Finale. I'm still furious at TM for chopping up Reina de Corazones and putting us through all that agony of switching back and forth from UTub to the daily recaps our stalwarts were providing.

I really thought when Silvana started it was going to be like a light-hearted summer novel to read under an umbrella at the beach. Too bad they couldn't have kept it short and simple.

Oh, and as for that Manuel-Pedrito conversation. It made no sense, I agree. However, I recognize Pedrito is a far better natural actor delivering his lines than Lupita who forces herself to pretend she's 10 years old. They are mismatched.

Ok, rant over.

SILVANA:

Something you all might find more interesting than the show right now...in real life, the actors who play Majo and Andres just got married to each other, for real! Here's the article in People: http://tinyurl.com/gkwomnz

Silvana. Excellent recap, novelera, you are in fine form today! As did others, I loved your "Well, she is una perra," and calling AJ AJD. I also loved "She cracked open some champagne and is burbling on". It's almost worth watching these filler episodes to read your witty recaps. Yep, give AJD the couch, Chivis--good brain damage remark. Majo is VERY thoughtless and great "endless loop" remark. Yep, wedding on, wedding off, wedding on--it's getting very boring. Andrés really does need a shrink--he's a total masochist--and very thoughtless about Lucha. Oh geez! Poncho is now in a cult? Whatever next? They seem to keep inventing ridiculous things just not to make this the 80 or so episode tn it ought to be. Angie also seems to have the insight that if Andrés and MJ were really in love, it wouldn't have been so easy for them to refrain from having sex.

Silvana

Thanks, Vivi for the link to People in Español. Wow, the Majo actress looks very different with darker hair.

SILVANA

Wow thanks Vivi- they're both much more attractive in real life! Good luck to them.

Silvana

Vivi, thanks from me, too, for the link to the article about the Majo and Andrés actors getting married. I'd never have recognized "Majo" from the photo. Nor, for that matter, "Andrés." In fact, in the photo, the guy who played Andrés reminds me somewhat of Luis Ernesto Franco, who played Rodrigo in Bajo el mismo cielo. But I know it's not him, since not long ago I read that he recently got married to the woman who plays Stella in Silvana. Wow, I wonder what sort of aphrodisiac was in the air on the telenovela set.

SILVANA

Thank you for the link, Vivi! If they have kids, they will be Baby "Baby Boo"s.

Well, I watched last night's episode. My favorite part was Dom & Stella's scene where she "imagined" life with Manuel. Manuel was a hoot! The low-hanging sweat pants w/crotch halfway to his knees and plaid(?) boxers showing, tank top, wearing flip-flops with white socks, and his "Stella!" nod to Brando. The actors looked like they were having fun with it.

Sin Senos (wednesday) 78

Yesica's men arrive at the cemetery and surround the area, Capitan brings Yesica and Daniela, but stops short.

Daniela tells Yesica Anibal kept saying there was no pre-nup, well that makes it clear who took the safe, Yesica says, and we see Anibal's guys still trying to open it.

Cata and company move Adriana's coffin to the hearse and leave for the funeral, Cata, Hernan, and Vale take a cab, Vale shows Hernan the note Pipe's mom left her, they will go see her after the funeral.

Hernan tells of Pipe, how he was there against his will, how they had a plan to make them pay for what they had done, (to destroy them from within).

Titi stops Marcial from jumping, they talk, Marcial asks for a pic of Catalina placed in his coffin, Titi wants them to traffic drugs again, he jumps, 4 stories.

Cata has the cab stop at a phone stand, Hernan has Vale call Daniela and tell her they know who stole the safe, the pre-nup is under her mattress, Yesica orders them back to the house to check.

Calvo checks in with the Capitan, they will wait till Yesica gets there.

Marcial is raced to the hospital, he will live, Titi goes in to see him.

Capitan talks to Anibal, they will break in tonight, masked, and kill Daniela and Yesica, but he wants his money as soon as it is done.

Yesica finds the pre-nup and it's back to the funeral and later the courthouse.

Anibal's guys finally get the torch, and this works, the tall guy shoots dead the shorter one, then finds the safe empty, dumps the short guy in a barrel, mumbles Anibal will pay for this.

Yesica is really riding the Capitan, who keeps giving her reasons why things aren't done yet.

the hearse arrives at the cemetery so they are all there, Ximena, Vale, Hilda, Alberio, Hernan, Cata, Vanessa, but no Jota, the Capitan arrives, but Yesica wants to be closer, she wants to see them die, Calvo asks about the priest, yep kill him too.

(why isn't Hernan picking up on all this)

Calvo gives the word, wait, Jota arrives with 2 school buses full of kids from Adriana's school, one is Calvo's son, he aborts the mission, says something about a code against killing kids, Capitan reports to Yesica, she wants the job done anyway, grabs the phone to talk to Calvo...

Silvana sin Lana - Friday, November 11 - Capítulo 79, part 1/2

The Three Stooges keep looking for the dog. Dom and Poncho head out to search for him while Stella makes flyers on the computer.

On the way home, Alejandra wants Vicente to take her to a place where they can be alone. They’ll split the bill 50-50. He catches on to what she’s referring to and pretends to not like motels. He mentions another place and jokes about the police catching them. (Vicente is really uncomfortable in this scene and I’m pretty sure he’s just going to take her home.)

Chivis announces to the girls that AJ will stay with them for a little while. Angie’s not quite as excited as the other two. They start reminiscing about the good ol’ days with their dad and Chivis seems really sad.

AJ tells a bedtime story to Lupita. Angie and Majo come in the room and AJ apologizes to them all for everything that’s happened. He seems genuine and starts crying a little. They all forgive him and hug him.

The next morning, AJ has made a huge breakfast with all his daughters’ favorite food. They are all excited and happy. (Though Angie is a little annoyed that he calls her ardilla – squirrel - since everyone at school found out and makes fun of her for it.) AJ even invites Sara to sit down instead of working when she arrives. He takes a tray upstairs to Chivis and Trini.

The alarm goes off and Trini starts complaining. Chivis tells her that she couldn’t pegar el ojo en toda la noche (sleep a wink all night) because of her snoring. Trini protests that she doesn’t snore as AJ comes in with the breakfast. Chivis is not amused. Trini notes that alguien se levantó con el pie izquierdo (someone got up on the wrong side of the bed).

Jorge and Pedrito knock on the door but AJ chases them away. He says he will tells the girl they were there but of course he doesn’t. He walks Angie and Lupita to school.

Dom and Poncho come home with no news of Paco Javo. Stella almost catches them talking about the dog not really being her dog, but they’re interrupted by the dog whisperer knocking on the door.

Angie notes that it’s odd that Jorge and Pedrito didn’t show up to walk them to school. AJ finally admits they did, but he wanted to walk them to school alone. Angie wants to know if he wasn’t too duro (tough, harsh) with Jorge. AJ says fathers will always be that way with their daughters’ boyfriends. When they pass in front of the bakery, Lupita tells AJ all about how super pesada (annoying) Margarita is and the whole story with the Don Benito/Trini/Sara triangle. AJ points out how chismosa (gossipy) Lupita has become and her reply is basta tener dos dedos de frente (something like ‘you don’t have to be the sharpest tool in the shed’) to see what’s going on with Trini and Don Benito.

Stella is still explaining how they looked everywhere for the dog when a woman knocks on the door. She found Paco Javo (and the doc’s watch, which he seems more concerned about than the dog).

The woman explains how she found the dog and Stella is really grateful. She packs up some itacate (food) and gives her the reward money. Apparently she works at a stripclub and Stella is annoyed at the dog for spending the night with a bunch of strippers. [On a linguistic note: The woman says ‘entendai’, drops the final -s sound, and uses queres (the vos form), so maybe she’s from Chile?]

At the university, Ale is still trying to get Vicente to take her to the place he mentioned the night before, or at least go for a drive in his van. He claims to be late for work and heads off.

Stella can’t understand why Paco Javo would want to spend time with other women instead of her. The dog whisperer thinks they should take him back to the pet shop to review his family tree. Scared looks on Dom’s and Poncho’s faces.

Silvana sin Lana - Friday, November 11 - Capítulo 79, part 2/2

At the bakery, where there are now tables and chairs for people to sit at, AJ asks Don Benito if he bets on horses. Don Benito says no, he prefers to work for his money. AJ claims to have a good tip about a horse.

Manuel tells Chivis that AJ talked to him on the balcony the previous night. AJ hadn’t told her, of course. She makes it clear that AJ did not sleep in her room. Having AJ in the house is strange to her but also natural since the girls are so happy and they act like it’s a big party. Manuel is a bit jealous that he’s not invited to this party, and he’s a little afraid that Chivis will get used to it. She replies that una madre se puede acostumbrar a todo; pero una mujer no (a mother can get used to anything, but a woman no).

Manuel asks Chivis to clarify what she said. She assures him that he is the only one for her. She’s afraid of what’s going to happen with the family. Manuel tells her not to worry since she has a shark on her side. She leaves to go make a delivery.

AJ asks Don Benito his name and shakes his hand upon realizing he’s the famous Don Benito. AJ thanks him for everything he’s done for his family. Don Benito responds that he knows who AJ is, and at first he thought he was a bad person, but now he sees that he’s a gentleman.

Angie apologizes to Jorge for being angry with him; She’s just really sensitive about people saying bad things about her father since she’s still trying to forgive him. She asks if AJ was rude to him that morning. Jorge says well, he wasn’t exactly nice. Angie says her father is just jealous and he’ll have to get used to them being together. They kiss.

Majo arrives at the terminal to find her mother. She walks in front of Vicente but doesn’t say hi to him. He calls out for her. He knows that Andrés forgave her. Majo calls Andrés a good man and a bunch of other adjectives that Vicente says all mean boring. Majo’s jealousy starts to show when she mentions his amiguita from the night before and how the adjectives to describe her are probably much more entertaining, no?

Vicente replies not more entertaining than yours. He wonders why she came to the terminal when she could have just called her mother. She just wanted to see him, didn’t she? Majo claims that she tried to, but Chivis’ phone was turned off. Just then Chivis shows up, asking what Majo is doing there and why she didn’t call her. Majo again says her phone was off, but Chivis checks it and says no, it’s on. They head off to look at wedding dresses. Chivis knows something is up and wants to know why Majo came to the terminal. She warns Majo not to press her luck because the next time Andrés won’t forgive her.

Andrés sits down at Lucha’s table at the university. She knows that he’s there to tell her that he already forgave Majo. Lucha asks him if he really can’t see that Majo is enganchada a (hooked on/addicted to) Vicente?

Jorge enters the bakery just as AJ is about to leave. AJ asks his name, about his family, about his plans for life.

Poncho with his hair slicked back at the terminal gets teased by other workers. I did not really get this scene. Something about responding to a higher call and making the most important decision in his life. Vicente and Dom wonder what’s going on with him.

Stella has brought the dog psychologist to see Manuel. Manuel explains to the doc that he and Stella are not together so please make Stella understand it. Unfortunately, the doc thinks Manuel is just being a typical guy who’s afraid of commitment, but not to worry, there is always a cure.

Silvana

Muchas gracias, J, for yet another stellar recap. It helped me to see several things that I missed, and, of course, I'm delighted that you included so many Spanish phrases.

I was surprised with how well AJ seemed to know and care about his daughters. This was especially evident when he was telling Lupita a bedtime story, but also the next morning when he got up early to make sure that everyone had their favorite breakfast foods. I guess because the novela began with AJ fleeing, we haven't had much chance to see him interacting with his daughters. Moreover, because he left his family in such dire straits for so long (and had been secretly selling their assets out from under them for months before he fled), I assumed that he really didn't care about them. For at least a few minutes last night, I saw another side to him. I still think he's a selfish, dishonest scoundrel whom Chivis should not let back into her life, but apparently his affection for his daughters is genuine.

Speaking of AJ, I was somewhat surprised at the scene in Don Benito's bakery between AJ and Jorge. I wasn't surprised that AJ was snobby and overbearing, but I was surprised at how poorly Jorge managed to present himself. He seemed more like a young teenager (say, 13 or 14) rather than someone almost ready to graduate from high school. I don't think I'd have wanted him for my daughter (not that I have one :-) ) based on the impression he gave in response to AJ's questions.

I'm quite nervous about the fact that this novela is apparently scheduled to drag on until January. I hope Manuel tells the doggy doc what he can do with his theories and his cures, but if we have so many more episodes to fill, I fear the occasionally wussy Manuel may wind up being far too polite and accommodating. Manuel, wake up: it may be appropriate for doggy doc to treat Stella the perra, but not tiburones like you.

Silvana

Thanks so much, J, for your fine, detailed recap. I really liked “dog whisperer”. And you have a very good ear to have picked up on the voseo from the woman who found Javito. I didn’t notice it. And I was quite distracted by her purple hair!

Maybe I misunderstood what went on with Vicente and Alejandra. I had the impression they did go somewhere and do “something” the night before. But maybe she still is trying to get into his pants and has yet to succeed. She’s really quite brazen about it. The old Vicente would have been thrilled!

To wax philosophical for a moment, we can definitely see cultural stereotypes in telenovelas. The good girls/women always have sex reluctantly; and, when they do, it’s usually very, very romantic and tender. Unless someone rapes them, which happens sometime. But the ones who make the first move, pursue the guy, want to have sex with him are always portrayed as sluttish.

Good catch on their adding tables and chairs to the bakery so AJ could sit there like a fat, overbearing jerk. I’m getting a bit tired of Don Benito. His goodness was endearing at first. But lately he seems to be just dumb as a box of rocks. He pursued Trini, enduring her classist behavior for months. He’s too dumb to see she wants a proposal which, like someone here said, she’ll automatically refuse por ser naco. And now he can’t manage to see through AJ. I was really scared the old fool was going to give AJ money to bet on a horse.

I’m also a bit tired of Vicente’s endless pursuit of Majo. I really wanted him to make her suffer when she came to the terminal. She had no consideration for his feelings the night before when she announced the imminent wedding, apparently on a whim and as a put-down to Alejandra for admiring Andrés. He should have been cold to her and given her the impression that he and Ale were an item. That’s what she deserved.

I’m not too critical of Jorge. It would have been good if he’d given a better account of himself. But he’s a sweet boy, not an ambitious striver. And he was too intimidated by having a former rich guy up in his face. I’m glad he told Angie about it. She’s the one who sees her father for who he is.

Silvana

thanks so much J!

although they weren't very clear I got the impression too that something happened between Vicente and Ale, and the next day she was ready to go back for more.

we're getting a good view of AJ the con man, as he works Manuel, Jorge, Benito, and all with smiles, charm and subtle intimidation, I don't fault Jorge the teenager as AJ slapped him on the shoulder a couple dozen times while talking down to him, Jorge was trying to be respectful.

I was surprised the dog made an appearance, I thought he was condemned to be forever invisible.

Silvana. Excellent and very complete recap, J, and excellent comments by all! I too thought something had happened between Ale and Vicente--though maybe just some heavy necking, as we used to say. Yep, novelera, MJ is really rubbing Vicente's nose in her upcoming wedding--kind of nasty. Btw, Vicente is so right about all those Andres adjectives meaning boring. It seems to me that AJ is essentially a con man who is now conning his family as well as the neighbors. I'm so glad that don Benito didn't bet with him. I'll bet AJ would betray everyone all over again if he thought it was in his financial interests.

Silvana

Thanks everyone. Maybe I was in denial about Vicente and Alejandra. LOL He just always seems so uncomfortable around her. Watching their scenes again, it does seem like they at least made out. Maybe it was left somewhat vague so Majo has a reason for another jealous fit.

The wedding is supposedly in a few (telenovela) days so hopefully this back and forth will finally be over soon.

J, thanks for another well crafted recap.I have not seen any of this week's episodes but thanks to you, novelera and the commenters, I have been spared the necessity to do so. I am so hoping we will be spared endless episodes of AJ's presence in Chivis' home in particular as well as Majo/Andrés' revolving door relationship. Otherwise, it will be increasingly harder to maintain interest in this show.
Again, thanks for your recapping which never fails to entertain.
Helen

SILVANA:

Thanks so much, J! The great recaps have kept me up to date this week, since I didn't see the episodes.

Wow! Vicente made out (or more) with Alejandra? He's never going to get rid of her now! Not sure this show needed yet another desperate female who won't take no for an answer. In addition to now having AJ in the picture full-time, this show is in desperate need of some more characters we can actually like. The ratio of annoying to good characters is WAY off balance.

SILVANA

J-
Thank you for the recap!!! I have not had time to watch this episode yet, but I can tell your recap is light years better than the show, itself. It sounds like yet another annoying episode.

ITA that Don B is "dumber than a box of rocks." (!!!)

How much of AJ the narcissist will we have to endure? It is clear that his daughters love him, though, so he must have always treated them very well. Hopefully Chivis will kick him out of the house. Soon.
