Mi Marido Tiene Familia #50, 10/31/2017: A Secret Revealed Gives Rise to Many Doubts

Eugenio tells RobPablo that the important thing is that he and Julieta are well. Imelda comments that now Eugenio knows why they were crying, it was heart wrenching knowing what happened. Mari interjects that it is very difficult, but they will get through it…at any moment, Julieta will get pregnant again. As RobPablo thinks about what the doctor said and cries, Blanca wonders if there is anything else he needs to tell them, but he just shakes his head.

In the bathroom, Juls tells Ana she doesn’t understand why she is always telling her to distance herself from RobPablo’s family. Ana replies that Juls doesn’t know what happened between them. The day Tulio and she found out she couldn’t have a child, they made her life impossible…little by little their relationship diminished to the point that her marriage became meaningless. Juls assures her that it is different with her and RobPablo. Some day they will get pregnant again and prove that they want children. Ana goes along with her saying that Juls won’t have any problems with Blanca or Imelda.

At the table, Blanca chitchats about how she wants to appease RobPablo and learn how to prepare hotcakes. Eugenio tells her sometimes it’s better not to say anything, so she explains to RobPablo that sometimes his father doesn’t want her to talk. She then turns to Eugenio and tells him if it bothers him that much, she won’t sit at his table any more. After Dani tells Blanca they need to be more united at a time such as this, Juls comes back and Blanca asks her to sit down. Eugenio repeats that the important thing is that they remain united. Imelda says this incident will be forgotten and that, in no time, they will have a great grandchild walking throughout the house.

Later, Juls is at work talking to Luz. Juls confides that she doesn’t know whether to believe Ana or not; Ana keeps telling her to stay away from RobPablo’s family. After Luz advises that she should stay away from Ana and concentrate on her relationship with the family. Juls then asks Luz if she heard what the gynecologist said, but Luz tells her she didn’t; she just heard that there had to be some more tests. Juls remembers that the doctor said everything was fine, but Luz suggests that she not torment herself thinking about it. Hearing that, Juls snaps that she can pretend everything is fine…why can’t anyone understand that.

Mari and Dani in their bedroom. Dani confides that what she thought she didn’t care about, she really does care about. Mari advises her to be honest with herself and asks if she still feels something for Benjamin, but Dani isn’t sure. She‘s confused because Benjamin canceled the wedding for her. When Dani asks how Mari feels about Icky, Mari shares that she is angry; so Dani asks what she would do if he came back and told her everything would change. Mari thinks she wouldn’t believe him; what he did is unforgiveable; he hasn’t even called to ask about his daughter. Dani then wonders if Mari has met anyone else…like the man on the roof. Mari laughs and isn’t sure she would like Xavi in such a way; though they have become every good friends. When Dani suggests that the best relationships begin with friendship, Mari reminds her that was what Benjamin was to her and suggests Dani give him a chance.

Juls apologizes to Luz for yelling at her and confides she found RobPablo crying in the baby’s room. He has always said they could get through anything together, but people change. At first, he didn’t want a family, but he looked for them; he never planned on marrying, yet he proposed; and then there was the baby…they were getting so attached to it. When Juls confides she is afraid, Luz consoles her and softly tells her to remain calm.

At the Córsega’s, Imelda tells Blanca to tell RobPablo that she wants a great grandchild; she doesn’t know how many more years she has left (the old biddy is using the same old song). Blanca doesn’t want to pressure him; and anyway, Imelda will probably outlive them all. When Imelda insists, Blanca brings up how Imelda dealt with Ana and Tulio. Imelda thinks it was her duty to urge him to satisfy his desire to be a father. Blanca reminds Imelda that she told Tulio that having Ana as a wife wasn’t convenient without taking their feelings into consideration. Imelda gets upset (because the truth hurts) and thinks Blanca is saying she was the evil one…and everything that happened is her fault. Blanca shakes her head and doesn’t want to do the same to RobPablo and Juls. Imelda thinks Blanca hates her…everyone hates her.

At the foundation, RobPablo makes a videotape about fire prevention with Max; and they discuss the success of the videos. Rob then reminds Max he is not his scars and invites him to go visit Dave with him. When Max declines, RobPablo wonders what plans Max has, so Max shares that he plan with Aris, then smiles impishly. When RobPablo wonders why the big smile, Max confides he has gotten up the nerve to meet Lorena, the girl he likes. When he has doubts about her liking him, Rob encourages him and tells him he is a valuable and intelligent young man.

Juls is still at work talking to her mother on the phone. CatDQ asks Juls why she didn’t stay at home; so Juls explains she needs to move forward…and staying at home would only depress her more. CatDQ reminds Juls if she needs her, just to let her know. When Juls thanks her for being so attentive and tells CatDQ she loves her, CatDQ gets excited and tells Juls she loves her too. After CatDQ hangs up, Hugo comes in and asks if she isn’t ready yet. He has to go work. She thinks he shouldn’t waste time with that job. He should call Julie for a job that would be at a more suitable level for him, but Hugo doesn’t want to bother Juls; he wants to prove to her that he can make it on his own. Seeing that he won’t budge about going to see Juls, CatDQ confides that Juls just went through a difficult time…she lost the baby.

RobPablo goes to visit Dave and finds him sitting alone looking at the dinosaur he gave him. He greets him using the dinosaur voice which excites Dave because RobPablo kept his promise. RobPablo then tells Dave he is doing better, but Dave tells him no one has gone for him…no one wants to take him home with them.

Juls goes to the hospital to see RobPablo, but he isn’t there yet. As Juls leaves, she bumps into Daphne who asks how she is. When Juls says she’s doing well, Daphne says what happened is not easy to handle. So Juls has her support. Juls wonders why she would need support; so Daphne explains that she is probably in the stage of denial; and Juls needs to overcome it. It’s difficult for a woman to know she will never be able to get pregnant.

At the orphanage, RobPablo encourages Dave by telling him how his adoptive parents arrived and loved him very much. When Dave asks if he thinks someone will love him, RobPablo reassures him and tells him he just needs to have faith…which means too believe in something and be grateful before things arrive. As he hugs Dave, RobPablo sees little Juan Pablo next to Dave saying that he wants to go outside to look for his mother.

Hugo feels sorry for Juls and wonders why she hasn’t said anything. CatDQ suggests they unite for her and support her so she knows she has a family that that is there for her. Hugo doubts CatDQ’s intentions and asks if she is serious; or does she really just want Juls to think that just so CatDQ can get some money. He tells her it’ll be on her conscience…to each his own. CatDQ cries as he walks away.

Audi gets a chicken costume to wear at work. He doesn’t like the idea, but his boss tells him he never thought he would be “chicken.” Audi is too proud and says he has much knowledge, but the boss reminds him that he is in need of a job, but if he doesn’t want to do it, someone else surely needs the money; so Audi agrees to do it.

At the orphanage, the director tells RobPablo that some families have shown interest in adopting Dave, but RobPablo can already guess that when they see his scars, they change their minds and don’t call back. The director nods, then asks if RobPablo has found out who brought him to the orphanage. RobPablo replies he hasn’t, but there isn’t a day that goes by that he doesn’t think about it.

At the hospital, Juls storms into the gynecologist’s office demanding that she be told why she had the miscarriage. She has a right to know what happened with her baby…and all the consequences.

Outside a building, Audifaz is working in his chicken suit when he sees Max and Aris nearby. As Max tells Aris that people are strange because they say they accept differences when they really don’t, they see the chicken/Audi and start laughing. They approach and ask if they can take a picture with him.

At the hospital, Daphne calls RobPablo to alert him that Juls has been by to look for him. She then confesses that she probably put her big foot in her mouth and asks if he already told Juls that she wouldn’t be able to get pregnant. RobPablo get upsets and demands to know exactly what she said to Juls.

The doctor explains to Juls about the laceration in her uterus; so Juls demands to know why she hadn’t told her. When the doctor explains that Dr. Cooper asked her not to say anything, Juls say her obligation is with her, not with him. After Juls asks what will happen with her, the doctor tells her that because of the laceration, it will be very difficult to get pregnant again; and the risks of the pregnancy are very high. Juls is once more devastated and cries. She leaves and walks down the hall numb and shattered by the disappointment.

Somewhere outside with the chicken man, Max takes pics of Aris with his disguised father. When Lorena informs him she has arrived, Max leaves as some guys run over to taunt the chicken man.

In his bedroom, Bruno looks at the picture of Linda with Corny and wonders why he cares what she does. Meanwhile, Linda is at work and mistakenly writes Bruno name on a memo she’s writing and she wonders why she would write his name since she doesn’t want to think about him. When she tries to erase his name, she accidentally erases the whole memo.

Somewhere outside, Audi and Aris are struggling with the guys who are tormenting the chicken man. The guys continue to grab and mock the chicken man until they see the police coming and run away. Audifaz, tired and belittled, falls to his knees, takes off the head and looks at Aris who is dismayed to see his father. Audifaz reaches out to Aris, but he steps away as Audi asks him if he is alright.

At the restaurant, Dani drops a tray and Gabriel helps pick everything up. He wonders if she has been distracted all day because of Benjamin. When Dani gives him a look of disdain, Gabriel explains he just wants to understand…if she is so upset and nervous, she must feel something for Benjamin; why doesn’t she just admit it. Dani finally concedes that she does feel something; she thinks she is still in love with Benjamin.

Back with chicken man revealed, Audi again asks Aris if he is alright. Aris nods, but asks why Audi is dressed like that when he told his mother he was a manager…he lied.

At the restaurant, Gabriel tells Dani that the fact that she is still in love is not just anything. She has to understand her emotions. When Dani frowns and tells Gabriel she doesn’t want him to be angry, he is confused and wonders why she would think he would get angry.

Outside, Audi doesn’t think Aris will understand his reasoning; Audi lies that he made a bet with his work buddies, but Aris isn’t buying it. Audi pleads that he wants to talk to him and thanks Aris for defending him; he has always been a young man with good sentiments. Aris replies that Audi has always taught them that injustices should be defended’ and he also taught him to always be honest.

At the hospital, Jus walks in to RobPablo’s office demanding to know why he kept this from her; she had a right to know. He didn’t need to keep it from her. RobPablo explains that he just wanted to protect her’ he didn’t want her to blame herself. Juls cries and reminds him they would always tell the truth; and he lied. RobPablo argues that he didn’t lie; he just thought it would affect her more. Juls reproaches that she has always told him everything and brings up how he has changed—before, he didn’t want a family, he didn’t want to get married…everything is a lie. RobPablo continues to argue that he did it for love, but she accusingly asks him if he thought she would never find out. She also wonders when he was planning on telling her she wouldn’t be able to have a child…never?

Somewhere outside, Max meets Lorena and apologizes for not showing her his picture. When she asks about this scars, he explains how it happened. After she comments that she didn’t realize the scars would be so grave, he tells her there are children who are scarred worse than him. Max then tells her if she feels bad, she can leave…some people are scared of scarred people, but she wonders if he thinks he will always be rejected.

In his office, RobPablo wants Juls to calm down and listen to him. He just thought it wasn’t the right time; she needed time to recuperate. Juls insists she should have been told immediately. When Juls chides him for telling Daphne, RobPablo replies he needed someone to talk to, but Juls quickly snaps that he went to Daphne instead of his woman. It is something she needed to know; he had no right to keep it from her. What hurts Juls the most is that it’s not the first time he has lied. She is starting to know the real Robert; he is not the same man. Too many things have changed. It hurts her to say it, but she feels she doesn’t know everything about him. When he asks why she is saying this, she replies that it is what she feels; they can’t deny they have been living everything they didn’t want for months…he can’t deny he wants to be a father; and she can’t fulfill his wish. As Juls turns to leave, RobPablo tries to calm her down and tells her to wait, but Juls wants to be alone. On her way out, she bumps into Daphne who asks Juls if there is anything she can help with, but Juls scowls that she has been clear; Juls doesn’t want to be her friend or get close to her.

At his office, RobPablo confides in Tavo and tells him Juls wouldn’t listen to him and left; so Tavo tells him to give her time. When RobPablo wonders why Juls doesn’t understand that he just wants to help her, Tavo asks him to put himself in her place…what if she had kept something of such important from him. RobPablo realizes he was wrong and thinks he is dumb, but Tavo assures him he is just human; and he needs to let Juls fight her own fight. After that, RobPablo can determine how he can repair his error.

Outside, Audi talks to Aris and justifies that he is working honestly, but Aris wants to know why he lied; he told his mother he was a manager. Aris doesn’t care what he is; he is his father. What matters most is that Audi not lie.

Juls goes to look for her mother, but Diana tells her she is not home. When Diana admits that CatDQ told them what happened and wonders how Juls is feeling, Juls replies, “Bad. I feel infinitely alone.” Diana asks about RobPablo, but Juls tells her there comes a time when the person who is supposed to be your partner is not the one you can confide in about what hurts you.

At the Córsega’s, Aris is with Imelda who wonders what is going on with his father. Aris asks her to promise not to say anything; so she promises adding that everyone there thinks she is a gossip. Aris then shares how Audi said he was a manager, but he found him working dressed as a chicken. Imelda laughs. Aris continues that he doesn’t mind his father working like that, but Imelda can only laugh imaging Audi dressed as a chicken. As she laughs, Imelda assures Aris that she will talk to his father. Just then, Eugenio arrives and wants to know what is going on with Audi…or should he continue to be the baker detective and find out for himself. Imelda thinks he can help his brother.

At CatDQ’s, Diana wonders why RobPablo would keep the information from her. Juls thinks the “why” doesn’t matter; he shouldn’t have done it. Diana is sure he had to have a good reason and thinks Juls is sometimes impulsive. She tries to convince Juls that it probably wasn’t easy for RobPablo; she should imagine how he lived with keeping something from the one he loves the most, especially when he is living his own pain.
At the restaurant, Gabi admits to Dani that he was somewhat rude a while ago. He compares himself to a domesticated animal…like a noble horse that wanted to save her from her ex-boyfriend. Dani clarifies he wasn’t her boyfriend. Gabriel gives Dani his opinion; he doesn’t think she is in love with Benjamin…she is in love with what could have been. Dani explains that for many years, she has evaded her feelings. She hasn’t allow herself to live like others; she just wants to live. When Gabriel wonders why she would want to live in the past, Dani replies she just wants him to let her resolve this alone. Gabriel desists, but doesn’t want her getting there and yelling, “Save me!” So, Dani points out that she has never done that; he always comes to her on his own. Gabriel agrees and submits that right now, he is just her boss. Dani gets frustrated and thinks he is a lost cause, but he says the same about her. He adds that she shouldn’t worry; now they will have a professional relationship.

At the Córsega’s, Aris shares that what bothers him most is that his father doesn’t say the truth. Imelda says he has always been like; as a child Audi loved to be the center of attention with trumpets playing. He was terrible…always getting into fights. Someday Imelda will tell Aris how his father saved his Uncle Eugenio who thought he was going to die, but Audi took him out just in time. Eugenio suggests Aris talk to his father and support him.

In Gabriel’s office, Danilo talks to Gabriel about his relationship with Dani. When Gabriel wonders if Danilo is getting paid to be a gossip, to Gabriel’s surprise, Danilo admits that Gabriel’s father pays him to tell him everything Gabriel does. After Danilo wonders what would happen if Gabriel would confess his feelings about Dani, Gabi suggests he get to work. Before leaving, Danilo tells Gabriel it would be a shame because they would make an interesting couple…like Beauty and the Beast. After Danilo leaves, Gabriel thinks maybe it’s not such a bad thought: “El Bello y la Bestia” (The Handsome and the Beast).

At the Córsega’s, Blanca wonders how her son is getting along. When Imelda reminds her she wasn’t going to get involved, Blanca tells her she is just thinking out loud. Imelda hopes there isn’t a crisis with the couple; if Juls can’t have a child, things will not be easy. Blanca thinks it’s not fair...they had just changed their opinion about having children. She feels sorry for Juls and thinks she will need time to assimilate. Imelda then suggests they need to pray that this problem not separate RobPablo and Juls; RobPablo’s paternal instinct has awoken and you can’t extinguish that easily. As Blanca looks through the peephole, she sees RobPablo arrive.

At Julieta’s apartment, RobPablo arrives calling out for Juls. Right after, Blanca comes over to let him know she has prepared and brought something delicious for them. Although, RobPablo is not hungry, she insists and tells him to call Juls. When he tells her Juls isn’t there, Blanca suggests they wait for her…she really wants to spend time with him.

At CatDQ’s house, CatDQ awakens Juls who fell asleep because she was very tired. CatDQ tells Juls not to worry; it’s best she take care of herself. When Juls starts to cry, CatDQ gently stokes Juls’s hair and assures her she is there. Juls confides she is scared to live the way she didn’t want to live; everything is out of control. Juls then shares with CatDQ that she was told she wouldn’t be able to be a mother. CatDQ wonders when RobPablo and she changed so much since they never wanted to have children. Juls replies that life show them differently; she now wants to be a mother. CatDQ then advises Juls that she should continue with her plans to marry…one never knows. They say daughters repeat their mother’s history and CatDQ doesn’t want Juls repeating her history; she doesn’t want an abandoned daughter. Juls doesn’t really feel like discussing anymore, so she asks that they remain silent.

At the Córsega’s, Blanca serves RobPablo so he can eat while Juls arrives. When Imelda starts sharing what she and Blanca were talking in regards to the pregnancy, Blanca tries to stop her, but Imelda insists and wants RobPablo to know they are praying for them…it would be terrible that they remain childless. RobPablo politely thanks her for worrying, but makes it clear that what Juls and he do will be their decision. Imelda then warns RobPablo not to repeat his uncle’s history; Tulio and Ana never had children… that is why Ana is the way she is…very strange.

Ana arrives and Julián’s apartment and tells him she regret treating him badly. He is the only one who has treated her well…without judging her. She asks him to hug her because she feels completely lost; and he gladly obliges.

At night—
Xavi is practicing at Ick’s restaurant. He sings the song he will open with as Ick sings with him. When he finishes, Ick shares that he hardly has friends. If Xavi’s show is a success, they will see each other often…maybe they can become friends.

Juls is at Blanca’s door asking for RobPablo, so Blanca tells her he is there, but fell asleep waiting for her. Since they already ate, Blanca offers her something, but Juls refuses. Blanca then gives her Mama Suegra advice—since it’s just a matter of days for their wedding, RobPablo and she need to make some adjustments. This thing about each going their own way is not right. It’s a period of time when they should be supportive of each other. She then suggests Juls think about working less. When Juls interrupts and calls her “Señora,” Blanca complains that she doesn’t like it when she call s her that; so Juls retorts that she doesn’t like them getting into her relationship with RobPablo or her work. When Blanca explains that she just wants the best for her son, Juls starts her reply with “Doña” which Blanca quickly admonishes by telling Juls she needs to be reasonable. Frustrated, Juls tells Blanca it hasn’t been a good day and asks that she tell RobPablo she will be home. Unrelenting, Blanca again tells Juls to come in; they can talk until RobPablo awakens. Juls can also eat; then she can go for her bath. Juls can’t take Blanca’s insistence any longer, so she tells Blanca she doesn’t like to be told what to do and says good night. As Juls leaves, Blanca mumbles that if Juls continues with that attitude, her marriage will not last.

Thank you, RgvChick, for your most excellent and complete recap. It was very enjoyable.

Tonight seemed to be all about telling the truth (or not ) from Robert and Julieta to Audifaz and his family with other characters in between.

Robert was less than appealing and very patronizing when he told Julieta, yet one more time, to calm down. Why should she calm down when Daphne knew more about her medical situation than she? I was happy that she made her point that her medical information was hers to know and control and not Robert's or anyone else's. Robert didn't want to hurt her with the bad news? It wasn't his to decide in the first place. I was also glad she put the doctor in her place, too. Everyone seems to make light of all Julieta has compromised to make her relationship with Robert work in light of his new found family. Also, Robert is going to have to learn to say NO to Blanca if he is going to have a successful marriage one day. Given the situation, it would have been nice for Julieta to have found him at home and not at his mother's asleep. I also was happy that Julieta let Blanca have it when Blanca would not accept her refusal to her invitation.. The mamá suegra days could be over.

Ana and Julián were just weird.

RVG Chick: Your recap was right up to the point.

Jarifa: NOT shocked Julieta went Beast-Mode on Blanca.

Rgv Chick, thank you for handling last nights ghastly events with sensitivity and caring. Superb recap.

"(the old biddy is using the same old song)" had me nodding my head in vigorous agreement.

How many more heart wrenching moments could there possibly have been? "Dave tells him no one has gone for him…no one wants to take him home with them", "Audifaz, tired and belittled"...there was an endless list.

"CatDQ suggests they unite for her and support her so she knows she has a family that that is there for her" might have been the one hopeful moment.

"She leaves and walks down the hall numb and shattered by the disappointment". I can understand why Julieta feels betrayed. Hearing the diagnosis was devastating enough but to be delivered by the (seemingly) only source of friction that we are aware of deliver the news, well...

“What hurts Juls the most is that it’s not the first time he has lied. She is starting to know the real Robert; he is not the same man. Too many things have changed”. From Jules’ perspective, it must indeed seem that way. But, could Robert have brought himself to tell her the unbearable truth after the unfathomable emotional depths to which she has sank? Perhaps it would have been best to tell the whole horrible truth at once.

"Robert didn't want to hurt her with the bad news? It wasn't his to decide in the first place. I was also glad she put the doctor in her place, too". Jarifa, I sat back and really thought about your wise words. The truth is you could not have been more right. I might have made the same mistake as Robert. Even though it was coming from a place of love, it was not the right choice. Thank you for putting it in such clear perspective.

“Rob then reminds Max he is not his scars". More misty eyes.

This entire show is predicated on the love between Robert and Julieta. But now, the solar system has ceased to be in sync. The planets are not aligned and the sun is obliterated. They, the center of the universe to this story must come together or else nothing else will be right with the world.

And I totally agree Robert should have been sleeping at home. Julieta had every right to speak to Blanca the way she did. I'm really wondering if Blanca is capable of change.

Thank you Rgv Chick for your careful (always thoughtful)retelling of last night's sad story. I can only hope this was rock bottom...

Diana

RgvChick - Thank you for your recap!

"Imelda tells Blanca to tell RobPablo that she wants a great grandchild;"
It's all about what Imelda wants. Gah!

"Blanca comes over to let him know she has prepared and brought something delicious for them. Although, RobPablo is not hungry, she insists and tells him to call Juls. When he tells her Juls isn’t there, Blanca suggests they wait for her…she really wants to spend time with him."
It's all about what Blanca wants. Gah!

Those two women would drive me crazy!!! Las invasivas! They have no sense of boundaries or consideration for what other people might need. Or want. Argh!!!

Juls findng out about her own medical situation from Daphne, of all people, is why we have HIPAA laws in the U.S.

"This entire show is predicated on the love between Robert and Julieta. But now, the solar system has ceased to be in sync. The planets are not aligned and the sun is obliterated. They, the center of the universe to this story must come together or else nothing else will be right with the world."
So true, Diana, and well said!

WHY on earth is Ana going to Julián's home? Oh, never mind, that was just a rhetorical question. ~rolls eyes~ You can't fix crazy.

Wonderful recap RGV!!! My cc's weren't working at all last night so I watched the episode from the Univision site with their cc's just so I could figure out what I was missing.

Blanca has some good instincts but boy do her bad ones outweigh all. Trying to tell Juli what to do was maddening.

I knew Robert made a mistake not telling Juli the truth but she was in so much pain I can understand not wanting to heap more on. Bad choice but a forgivable one.

I love Gabi but I think he has a long wait before Dani is ready to take him on. So his Dad is spying on him? Looks like he has made a success out of the restaurant so I hope his Dad gives him credit.

Audi is doing what he can to help his family. Admirable.

What a depressing last few episodes. I hope we have a turn for the positive soon but it looks like we may be in the weeds for awhile.

doris, Blanca and Imelda ARE being selfish! I would never have dreamed it would be Cat who realized Julieta and Robert's tragic loss trumped her own.

I'm glad you brought up HIPAA. Here, it's impossible to get the slightest bit of information on a family member (sometimes even if you have their approval in writing). I suspect (but am not sure) that Julieta's doctor wouldn't have told Robert everything except for the fact he was a doctor. No excuse for what Daphne did. She's many things but stupid doesn't appear to be one of them. More than rubbing salt in the wound. Cruel. Just cruel.

Carvivlie, "Bad choice but a forgivable one" was a good way to phrase Robert's mistake.

Diana

Jarifa, Steve, Doris, Diana, and Carvivlie, thank you for stopping. I can always count on this patio for voicing my own thoughts about the events.

Jarifa, "Robert was less than appealing and very patronizing" and Diana, "Even though it was coming from a place of love, it was not the right choice." So very well stated, I need not say more.

Doris, it most definitely IS all about Imelda and Blanca...ITA with you GAH's

Carvivlie, "Blanca has some good instincts but boy do her bad ones outweigh all." SO very true! I really thought that Blanca would be more understanding and empathetic of Juls after the driving less, but she hasn't changed at all...was she just putting on a show just as Linda has always thought? I wanted to wring her neck when she suggested Juls work less.

Again I want to applaud Zuria for her performance...how she prepared for this role would be interesting to know. Daniel was great too, but since he is in time out right now, I thought I hold bach on the praises for him...maybe tomorrow :-)

Thanks, RGV. My viewing was a little choppy due to switching between this and the World Series, so it's great to have such a smooth summary to fill in the details. It's hard to see Rob and Juls misunderstanding one another. I guess this is the inevitable crisis in the relationship.

OOPS!! Less = lesson
I thought I hold bach - I thought I'd hold back

La Paoma, nice to "see" you here. "this is the inevitable crisis" ...and what a crisis we have for theses protags. I thought Daphne was going to be the crisis, but this is a truly heart wrenching crisis.

THis TN never ceases to amaze me...it's hitting on so may issues well worth addressing--dealing with old customs, miscarriages, menopause, misdiagnosing children in school, parent expectations...only to name a few!

Carvivlie, ITA about Audifaz. He is to be respected for doing what it takes to support his family.

Rgv, loved the “time out”. Ha!

RgvChick - ITA with you about Zuria's performance. The scene last night when she confronted her OB/Gyn showed amazing acting chops!

Great recap, Rgv Chick. I especially appreciate it because I was interrupted every few minutes to give out Halloween candy. Disgusting Daphne! I too thought Diana's remarks about the solar system no longer being in sync were great. And great analyses by all on the Juls-RobPablo relationship and Juls-Blanca-Imelda.

Thanks, Rgv Chick. Five minutes till the next episode and I'm all caught up.
