Mi marido tiene familia Wednesday 10/11/17 Capítulos 34 and 35
CAPÍTULO 34
After Catalina has blabbed about how Julieta's and Robert's savings got wiped out, Blanca and Imelda go to see Julieta to give her a piece of their mind about her risking "Juan Pablo's savings." Julieta tells them it was both of their savings and it is really one of their business. That only enrages Blanca and Imelda more. Robert walks in on the attack and takes Julieta's side. Nobody will scold Julieta, yell at her or tell her what to do. Nobody will mess with Julieta. Blanca is left in tears. Robert reminds them that the lost money brought them to live in their apartment building. Julieta tells them, she would never do anything to hurt Robert. Robert wants them to see the good in things. He apologizes for his earlier tone with them. Julieta smiles. Later, Imelda tries to perk Blanca up because things aren't moving as quickly with Juan Pablo as Blanca would like. She feels like a failure as a mother. Imelda tries to tell her otherwise.
Amalia and Belén are on each other's last nerve. They just annoy each other. Amalia is really into her radio singing contest. She and Belén are arguing after Belén sees a man on the street that reminds her of her ex which makes her sad. Amalia is aggravated because Belén is still thinking her ex will be back. She needs to live in the here and now. She and Belën start physically fighting like two kids and Blanca tries to separate them. The radio station calls Amalia so she as a semifinalist can sing again on the radio. Later the radio station calls again asking her to come on down for an interview.
Belén wonders what Amalia will do since she lied about her age and appearance. Amalia wants to make up with Belén so she will go with her. Belén does end up going with her. At the station, they see a group of male fans running towards Minerva de la Sierra. Of course, it is not Amalia. It is some blond they see beyond her. Nobody looks at Where is Minerva de la Sierra? Amalia ends up in the washroom. When they call her on her phone looking for her she says she is hoarse and cannot come. She just stays in the stall crying.
David has a new suit to help his burns heal. Aristóteles wants him to come over to his house. Robert says okay as long as they have a letter from his parents saying they will take responsibility for David. He warns Aristóteles that if David gets adopted he will be gone. Aristóteles says that is fine by him because he wants David to be happy. Polita is pleased that he has David for a friend. She tells him that he need not feel sorry for anyone but to feel affection for them instead. They may not have a lot o offer him but they do have plenty of love. Polita tells him about falling in love with his father Audifaz and how he saved her.
At the welcome luncheon, they spin the wine bottle and Gabriel gets to ask Daniela a question. Has she ever been in love with a guy? She answers yes. Later he tries to get some details out of her about the "guy" but she is not talking.
Blanca gets Julián's phone number for Robert.
Linda gets a sweet message from Bruno. Bruno tells Cornelio that the next step is to make Linda his novia so she will fall even harder.
Ana is remembering taking Juan Pablo from the market again. She is taking him supposedly home in a cab. He puts his head on his auntie Ana's lap to take a nap as she tells the driver to drive straight ahead and she will tell him where to go.
Robert and Julieta decide to go out with his sisters.
Ana's driver tells Ana that Julián has been spying on them all the time. She needs to be careful around him. Also, Tulio is asking questions about where he takes her. Ana takes off walking and meets with Julián who is loaded with the usual double talk until he tells Ana that he has her secret all figured out. She is the one who made Juan Pablo disappear.
Polita's refrigerator is bare. Aristóteles is upset because he never felt the need to be something else if not for himself, for his son. Now that Aristóteles is bringing a friend home he feels that the pressure is on. His life is in crisis. Aristóteles brings in food from Imelda. Audifaz realizes that he cannot even put food on the table for his family.
Robert is having more sympathetic pregnancy symptoms.
CAPÍTULO 35
Frida is upset at her piano lesson because her father never calls. Xavi tries to cheer her up. Marisol brings Xavi food.
Belén wants Amalia to be honest and out there so she can be an inspiration to women everywhere. It is not too late for her but she has to change because she has always been the princess. Now. she has to learn how to fight for what she wants
Robert calls Julián. They have things to discuss. He wants Julián to call him.
Aristóteles and Imelda see Ana at the park after Julián has left. Ana invites them to eat at her home. Tulio gets moody and Imelda and Aristóteles leaves. Ana criticizes him for basically ignoring Imelda when she comes to visit. It is the same way he is with her. Tulio admits he loves Ana; he has never stopped loving her. Ana needs to leave to get some airafter that confession. Tulio sits on his bed and cries.
Blanca encourages Daniela to go out with Juan Pablo. She then goes to tell Robert all of the things she wants to do with Juan Pablo. She has a list. He says they will do them all.She wants to buy Robert an special outfit for when he goes out with his sisters. They are goimg to the shopping plaza. Robert has Julieta on one arm and Blanca on the other. Blanca starts picking out things for Robert at the shopping plaza. Blanca notices Robert is not feeling well. Robert says he will be taking his sisters out for karaoke. Julieta and Robert decide to give Blanca the good news about the pregnancy with the understanding that she will keep the secret. Suddenly Blanca is wanting to buy her pregnancy clothing.
Aristóteles describes Ana and Tulio as "freakies." He prefers his own home with his mom and dad (Polita and Audifaz) He puts his arm around Audifaz.
Ana prays in church asking that the family could forgive her and that she can forgive herself. She knows she deserves the worst. She wants to give her marriage to Tulio another try.
Catalina is plotting to get close to Julieta again. Diana is telling her husband that sometimes the desire to get ahead is more important than having a title as he ponders if working in administration is what he should do.
Xavi finds out about Marisol and her past from Robert. Robert also finds out about Xavi being a "has been" but decides he is a fan after hearing Xavi sing.
Blanca and Imelda have a few shots to celebrate "good things". Blanca tells Imelda the secret. It is now "their" secret. Eugenio is not happy to see them drinking. They are drunk! What are they celebrating? Imelda tells Eugenio that Julieta is pregnant. They make him promise he won't tell. Eugenio gets emotional later with the news of maybe a baby boy. He thanks Blanca for never losing the faith all those years.
Robert has a karaoke adventure with his newly found sisters and Julieta. Robert tells his sisters to be nicer to Julieta. They seem to think that he shouldn't defend Julieta but let her make her own way into the family. They sing the theme song. Daniela then kills the good mood by telling Juan Pablo how bad things were all of those years when he was gone but always present in his absence..
Julián wants Ana to confess the truth out loud so she can be liberated. She admits out loud that it was she who made Juan Pablo disappear.

David looked like a blue TeleTubby in that burn suit.
Robert is such a Pollyanna. Does this guy not carry any resentments toward anyone? When he told Las Metiches that losing their savings brought him to their apartment building, I was ready to nominate him for sainthood! ;-)
Tulio/Ana/Julian are such messed-up people. Last night, Julian looked like he is 45 years old.
Well, finally Blanca has been told that Juls & Rob are preggers. She will probably start knitting blankies & booties soon. LOL
Does Polita work? If not, why not? Talk about a cupboard being bare! (Yikes!) If that was my refrigerator, I'd have job applications out everywhere.
doris, you're welcome. I am glad we are back to single episodes next week. There is too much of a good thing especially during the week. You and me both with that refrigerator scene. ITA about Polita. Does Audifaz do anything besides sit in the real estate office? He also could look for another job of some sort. He seems high maintenance in his own way. Yes, Teletubbie!
“He puts his head on his auntie Ana's lap to take a nap”. I can’t get that vision out of my head. How on earth could Ana have abandoned Juan Pablo that way, so cold and callous. It’s simply beyond my comprehension. It chilled me to the core. “Ana prays in church asking that the family could forgive her and that she can forgive herself”. Every episode we see harrowing aftereffects as to the heartbreak she caused. Daniela…telling Juan Pablo "...how bad things were all of those years when he was gone but always present in his absence” speaks for itself.
“Amalia is aggravated because Belén is still thinking her ex will be back. She needs to live in the here and now”. I might say Amalia should heed similar advice. To live her life, being realistic about who she is. A good woman with a wonderful singing voice who is big, bold and audacious. We all wish to be better than what we are, physically and/or emotionally. But the trick is acceptance. There are things we can change, some we cannot. I believe a certain program’s serenity prayer has it down pat.
“They may not have a lot to offer him but they do have plenty of love.” True. They may have love but no sustenance as evidenced by the empty refrigerator. Please refresh my memory. Why is there nothing to eat when Audi has a job. I assume he is somewhat successful? Food is such an integral part of this story. Here, from lack of it, other times, as comfort, solace and bonding.
Tulio sits on his bed and cries. Color me confused.
Doris, I think the strongest emotion we've seen Robert display has been simple annoyance, directed at Blanca and Imelda. I so admire him. I think that is so helpful in his work as a physician. That said, I keep wondering if there is anything that could arouse him to pure anger? I am very curious as to how he will react if he remembers what Ana did.
Jarifa, this was wonderful. Thank you for doing double duty!
Diana
Tulio and Ana have been living in a prison of their own making for 34 years. These are two sad and pathetic people. Now that Julian knows the truth we will see his true colors soon.
Why Rob and Juli think Blanca can keep a secret is beyond me!
I think the sisters are wrong that Juli has to find her own way into the family. That would be true if they were open minded to her but Linda, and in one case Dani, have tried to break her and Rob up. Rob should be defending Juli. Also, I'm disappointed that Marisol hasn't stood up for Juli after all of the pep talks she has given her.
I am enjoying this TN so much. the story and action is broad making understanding all the dialog not as critical; except what the heck is going on with Ana and Julian...
more pictures of food!
Rena
I enjoyed seeing all the siblings dancing around and having a good time and I tend to agree with the sisters to a certain degree. Julieta has already won over Mari and Dani (IMO) which, to me are the essentials ones. Since Juls won them over on her own, they probably think she can do the same with the rest of the family. If Robert tries to push people to like her, they may end up despising her and consider her weak. Juls should just ignore Linda and not give her the time of day...there are some people that are just downright unreasonable and mean...in this case, she is probably even jealous.
I don't understand how Ana could ask for forgiveness if she is still trying to separate Robert from the family...she has no scruples and deserves no mercy. Tulio, on the other hand, seems to be captivated by the she-devil and wants her back...Whyyyy???
Nobody will scold Julieta, yell at her or tell her what to do. Nobody will mess with Julieta. Blanca is left in tears.
Blanca cries about irritating Robert and not being a good mother to her daughters but does nothing to change. I do think she's a good, loving mother, but she does fail in relating to who her kids are rather than trying to fit them into some old cookie cutter mold.
Ana wants to get off scot-free. IMHO, she will have to openly confess to the family and stand trial for kidnapping first. Being sorry just isn't enough.
Goodness, lots of sobbing all around last night. Hoping these characters stop feeling sorry for themselves and get moving. Funny how we all see Audifaz and Polita need to get jobs, but it hasn't occurred to them. On his real estate rental job, I believe he's working for his mom and doesn't get a salary, just a free apartment. Polita, how about selling Tupperware?
I've made it crystal clear that I don't believe Ana deserves to be forgiven. But if push comes to shove, I think Robert would shield her from a trial if the truth comes out. I think it's pretty much all in Julien's hands as to whether he tells the world. The thought that anyone would be in Julian's hands is a scary thought indeed.
SpanProf, yes, Susan Boyle did it, didn't she? If I recall correctly, Simon Cowell was blatantly laughing at her when interviewing her prior to her initial performance. He wasn't laughing for long.
I think Amalia is very sensitive despite her posturing and blustering. There is an insecure girl inside, just yearning to be cared about and be accepted.
Life is hard. Exposing yourself to people's scrutiny is not for the faint of heart. It's an open invitation to criticism. And ridicule. I wish her luck.
Diana
Diana, I sure agree with your "color me confused" re Tulio as well as your attitude towards Ana. When I saw Juan Pablo put his little head in her lap it made me sick!
"Exposing yourself to people's scrutiny is not for the faint of heart" Perfect description of what it is like to be a performer.
Carvivlie, that whole suggestion of Julieta just having to make her way into the family on her own with Linda around was a bad one. The suggestion made me think of mean girls in junior high.
Rena, I sure could do with more pictures of food. It all looks so good even the mounds of bread . . .
RgvChick, what does Tulio see in Ana that we can't, but he loves her so maybe that is giving him the rose colored glasses
.
Niecie, that would be a perfect job for Polita: selling Tupperware!
SpanProf, yes, Amalia is very Susan Boyle-ish. I am betting on a happy ending for her.
