Mi marido tiene familia Wednesday 11/15/17 Capítulo 61: Silent Partner-OR- Silent Atonement

Linda goes to wait at the spot the told Bruno she would be. She texts him that she is there. Bruno sees it but is on his bed staring off into space and falling asleep. Other people come and go at the restaurant. Linda leaves sobbing. Bruno finally appears and sees her leaving but doesn’t bother to go after her.

Daniela talks with Benjamín. She wants to talk to him tomorrow in person. Yes, they can have supper. Eugenio is going down to the bakery to bring in sugar that has been delivered. No, he doesn’t need her help. He is still grousing about her “Gabrielito”.

Robert asks what Julieta heard on her phone. Julieta does an imitation of how Dafne sounded. Robert explains that he went to karaoke with Xavi and left with Xavi. It finally occurs to him that she must have heard them all playing with the electric shock machine. Robert starts to laugh. They were all screaming especially him and Dafne because they were on the end. Julieta is having a hard time believing it. Robert has a photo. Did she really believe that he cheated on her? She really does not value the man she has by her side then. She didn’t trust him. Julieta and Robert move outside where some men are delivery huge bags of sugar to the bakery. Julieta apologizes but Dafne did kiss him. Robert stops her right there saying he put an end to that situation immediately. Julieta counters with that she warned him about Dafne and her intentions towards him right from the beginning. Robert concludes that the only good thing about all which must mean that . . . Julieta finishes his sentence saying that she loves him with all of her soul. She cannot be far away from him. She felt like she was dying when she thought she had lost him. When she talked to her father she decided she did not want to make the same mistake. She can’t leave him just because the in-laws are not her favorite people.
She will put forth effort to get along with them for Robert’s sake and for their love’s sake.  Robert says he has to help her and defend her ideas, too. He wants them to be together for a hundred years and die by her side. Julieta asks him if he forgives her for going off and leaving him alone. Without him, nothing makes sense. He is her companion, her copilot, her strength and she is going to protect him with her own life if necessary. Robert says he loves her, too, and she does not know how many times he asked God for her to return. Yes, he would die for her, too. He loves her with everything that he is. They do their “magnet” thing with their hands. They kiss. Suddenly they are enveloped in a white cloud. Robert tastes it. It is sugar. It seems that destiny likeed their sweet reconciliation.

Catalina wakes up and discovers that Julieta is not in her bed. She runs around her house looking for her.

It is breakfast at the Córcega house. Blanca remarks that it was odd because it seemed that Ana was arguing with Julieta. Linda blames it on Julieta. Marisol lets it drop that the guy that Linda likes is Julieta’s brother. Linda is moaning that she was stood up. Eugenio, who has had nothing to say until now, tells her that it’s the best to forget about that guy. He suggests the same to Daniela with her her “Gabrielito”. Imelda asks if Julieta said what she was doing at Ana’s house. Blanca says no. Eugenio adds that Julieta has been odd as of late asking questions about strange things. Frida calls him on his gossip with the same advice he gives her. Blanca only wants Julieta to get back with Juan Pablo. The door bell rings. Unannounced, Ana and Tulio have arrived. Imelda is happy to see them both. They came to let them know that all is well and that they missed them.

Robert and Julieta are still in bed talking about how glad they are to be back together amd how they missed each other. Since Julieta does not like secrets especially when it deals with him, she confesses that she knows what Ana did. She is the one that abandoned him.

The Córcega breakfast starts to go down hill fast when Imelda tells Tulio it is good that he has decided to end the war against his family. When Linda says she didn’t know there was a war going on. Blanca tries to make nice saying it is only one of Imelda’s sayings. Tulio disagrees. Tulio admits that he distanced himself from the family but he had his reasons. Eugenio suggests that this is probably not the best place to get into all of this. Tulio keeps going saying it is all about mistakes made in the family that cause a lot of damage. Imelda knows he is referring to her and confesses that she pressured Tulio to leave Ana. Ana looks surprised and says she does not understand. Blanca wants to change the subject and warns them that Imelda has a weak heart. Imelda continues saying that she is tired of Tulio blaming her for what happened to his marriage. She wants to rid herself of that weight on her shoulders. Let everybody know about it. Imelda says that she made the mistake of telling Tulio to go find another woman who could give him children because he was not going to be happy at Ana’s side. Ana still looking surprised asks if Imelda really said that. Imelda says if she could just go back in time. . . . She was at the point of doing the same thing with Julieta. Imelda is so upset she has to leave the table. Eugenio blames Tulio for upsetting his mother. Tulio reminds him that she is his mother, too, and he is sick of being criticized for keeping his distance from the family when he has suffered, too, because of her.

Blanca tends to Imelda who has taken to her bed. Imelda just could not take anymore. She does not want to feel guilty anymore. Ana angrily barges in demanding that Imelda tell her if she always thought she was not the right woman for her son. Blanca tries to quiet her by saying this is hardly the moment. Ana tells Blanca not to tell her what to do. Blanca says not to shout at her. Ana is shouting because she, too, is tired of the condemnation she has had to live with all of these years. The condemnation that Imelda made her live with. Now Ana understands why Tulio changed in his relationship with her. Imelda is responsible for Tulio doubting his love for her. Imelda is responsible for everything she Ana did. Imelda asks her what she did. Ana answers that she destroyed her life completely and it was because of Imelda’s selfishness. Imelda, who is getting even more upset and weaker, tells Ana that they just want to do away with her. They just want to end her life. Blanca calls for Eugenio to get Robert because Imelda is getting worse.

Robert and Julieta are having breakfast talking about the Ana situation. Robert asks what she would do in his place. She would tell the truth. Eugenio knocks on the door. When they answer,  he says that Imelda is in bad shape. Robert goes to the Córcega apartment.

Robert arrives asking what is wrong with his grandmother. Tulio can only say that telling the truth causes problems. He hope that that Rober has that clear. He barely mentioned something from the past and his mother had an attack. Julieta and Eugenio join Robert. Ana has come out of Imelda’s room to say that Imelda is feeling very poorly and adds that she is the one who is responsible for what happened years ago. Eugenio wants to know what is going on between them all that he knows nothing about. Nobody is talking. Robert says they knew that having an argument with Imelda could affect her heart. Tulio tells Robert that rather than scolding him maybe he should be looking in on his grandmother. Eugenio takes him in and Julieta is left with Tulio and Ana. Tulio tells Julieta that Ana told him that she came over to their place to confront her. He wants her to know that Ana is not alone. She tells him that Robert is not alone either. It is good for them to know that.

Robert checks Imelda out and calms her down.

With his arm around Ana’s shoulder, Tulio asks Julieta who she thinks she is to comment on their lives. She isn’t even married to Juan Pablo. Julieta states that she went to find Ana because what she did was terrible. It is one thing for Robert to stay quiet about it and quite another that she stay quiet about it. Julieta tells Ana that there is no pardoning what she did. Ana says what Julieta does not understand is that she has maintained this family from the bottom up and if she really cares about Robert’s family, it is better for her to be quiet. Tulio asks if Imelda has told her how Ana has given her thousands of pesos to support the bakery. Julieta suddenly looks more serious. Tulio adds that Eugenio thinks that the money has been just a loan from Imelda when in reality the money is due to Ana’s generosity. Maybe Julieta should think again if she wants them as enemies. If they have managed to keep that secret for so many years, there is no telling what they could do. If Julieta keeps up with her threats, this is not long to have a happy ending.

Eugenio tells Julieta she has been acting very strange in relation to Tulio and Ana like there is some kind of secret. Julieta tells him that they will talk but for now he needs to know that she and Robert support him all the way. She also tells him that she and Robert are back together. That makes him happy.

Robert is still with Imelda. He is going to have an oxygen tank brought in for her. She needs to rest and take the medicines he is going to prescribe for her. Tulio and Ana come in. Imelda asks if he is satisfied now. Robert asks her not to get upset again. Tulio tells Imelda that if he hadn’t seen her “attacks” so many times, he would really be worried. Imelda always has had a taste for drama. Eugenio asks him to leave. Tulio is happy that Eugenio is so worried about their mother but he needs to talk to him. Tulio leads Eugenio out of the bedroom. Robert asks Ana what is going on with them anyway. According to Ana, Tulio only made a couple of comments to Imelda. Just imagine what would happen if he told her something that might really affect her. Ana tells Imelda that she never thought that Imelda would hold her in such low regard but Ana's love for her is so great that she forgives Imelda for all of the hurt she caused them. Ana leaves as Imelda just moans.

Robert catches up with Ana in the hall and asks her how she can be such a hypocrite. How do they dare to hurt his grandmother? Ana has new for him. His grandmother is not as innocent as he would believe. Robert cannot believe she is forgiving his grandmother to justify herself. Ana informs him that Imelda has always said whatever she has wanted without ever having any concern if she ruined other people’s lives or not. She is capable of hurting even his beloved Julieta.

Tulio tells Eugenio that Ana has been keeping his business afloat. She has been giving Imelda money so she could give it to him. He will not put up with anybody hurting Ana anymore. Eugenio never knew. Tulio asks him where he thought the money was coming from, from Imelda’s savings? She has given them a ton of money. He and Ana are not as strange or bad as they think. Eugenio wants to know why he is telling him this right now. Tulio says it is because he doesn’t want anyone to hurt Ana.  She has suffered enough. Ana has joined them. She tells Eugenio that if he wants to know the amount of money she has given to Imelda, she has it all written down; just in case he needs it.

Julieta tells Robert about what Tulio said. She is upset about them threatening her and Robert. Now Julieta does not know if it is good or bad to tell what Ana did. Well, Robert is not going to just let them do what they feel like with his family. While he is there, he will not permit that they harm his family.  Julieta will support him.

Daniela asks Danilo to leave work for just a half hour. She has to talk to Benjamín. Danilo asks if she cannot talk to him at a different time. Gabriel overhearsthe conversation and makes up an excuse so she cannot go. They are going to have a celebration for their new restaurant at a campsite. They are going to close early. Her priority is her job. Everybody has to attend. He tells Danilo to get it all ready.

Eugenio asks Imelda if she feels better. She is sad about Tulio. Eugenio wants to know how much money they owe to Ana. Yes, Tulio told him and they have to pay him back no matter what.Imelda never thought that Ana was going to ask for her money to be paid back. Why did Ana change like this? Eugenio tells Imelda not to get upset, he will take care of it.

As his manager, Marisol talks to Xavi about “selling” him to the public. He is like a product. He wonders if she realizes how much work it is going to take. Yes, she does. The best managers become so over time. He trusts her. They have nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain. She wants him to visualize being successful.

Ana tells Tulio tha tshe does not know what Tulio is up to. She knows they don’t have the money to pay him back. She gave them the money partly to to alleviate her own guilt. Tulio’s game is to apply pressure to the Córcegas so that they start going after each other and become less unified. Ana still has not gotten over that Imelda told him to leave her for another woman. Tulio clarifies the situation. His mother’s word was law but when he saw it was only working for her and not him, that was that. Ana is the woman he loves. He also has fired her driver. Ana doesn’t need anyone else insists Tulio She has him.

Daniela calls Benjamín, tells him about the outing to the campsite, and changes her date with him until tomorrow.

Three mean girls come into the restaurant. The leader is named Clarissa. She looks at Daniela, sees how she is dressed and asks if she is a woman or a man. She makes fun of Daneila’s attitude, face and lack of makeup. She orders water for all of them with exactly four drops of lemon in each one. She also asks for Gabriel. Daniela says he is out. She wants Daniela to tell him she is there.Daniela thinks she must be one of Garbiel’s exes.

Julieta talks with Marisol who is happy she has a goal for herself and Frida. Marisol is happy she is back and Blanca is even more so when she sees her. Blanca just hugs her.

Daniela serves the three mean girls. Daniela spills Clarissa's food on her by accident. Clarissa  throws a tantrum and starts screaming at her. Danilo tells her to go to the employees room. Daniela just wants to quit. Danilo lets her know that Clarissa is Ganriel’s sister. Gabriel comes in and asks if Clarissa is taking a bath in her food. He will buy her a new dress. When Gabriel sees Daniela, he tells her she is not going anywhere.

Amalia and Belén are at Kclass. Belén has decided they need a full time manager at the store to help out. Belén needs more time for her personal business. Julieta sees them, hears the problem and suggests her brother Hugo.

Eugenio talks to Blanca about things not going well. Eugenio explains that the problem with Tulio is because Ana had leant money to Imelda who used it to prop up the bakery when it was not doing well. If Ana wants her money back, they will all be out on the street.

Gabriel is still talking with Daniela. He is laughing because his sister is unbearable and capable of making life impossible for everyone. Gabriel tells her she is going to have to mix it up with the “scary witches”(in his family). No, Daniela doesn’t think so. Gabriel has news for her: she is going to have to associate with them because they are part of his life. She will have to meet his family. Daniela asks why. She is a part of his life and, unfortunatley for him, so are his dad and sisters.

Blanca and Eugenio tell Robert that they are on the edge of financial ruin and will be in that ruin if Ana demands payment of their debt.

Jarifa: Silent partner I see.

Jarifa, an intriguing, wonderful recap. Perfect title.

nderstanding little Spanish, what you recited was a great, grave surprise.
"
"It seems that destiny liked their sweet reconciliation". Marvelous

"He is her companion, her copilot, her strength and she is going to protect him with her own life if necessary". Tears. And sighs. I believe every oath.

"Maybe Julieta should think again if she wants them as enemies". What an untenable position Robert and Julieta are in!!

"Ana informs him that Imelda has always said whatever she has wanted without ever having any concern if she ruined other people’s lives or not". While I cannot disagree, nothing, but nothing would justify what Ana did. I, slong with Robert am extremely appalled.

"Tulio’s game is to apply pressure to the Córsegas so that they start going after each other and becomes less unified". So Tulio wants to decimate the family, emotionally and financially. What cold, cruel revenge after all these years.

How will the family extricate themselves from financial ruin? Robert and Julieta have no savings...Even if they all pooled their money, there seems no way to pay the blackmailers back.

Julieta suggests Hugo to run Amalia and Belen's store??? Huh?? This is the first thing I've heard Julieta say that is incomprehensible. What on earth is she thinking?

We suspected Gabi's family would step in and put another roadblock in the way of Gabi and Dani. What a beyotch his sis is. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he said he had "sisters". More at home? Blech.

"Linda leaves sobbing. Bruno finally appears and sees her leaving but doesn’t bother to go after her". Please make their storyline stop.

Loved Mari and Xavi. Missing Audi, Polita and Ari.

Glad Julieta and Robert are back together. Perhaps they will have matching pj's tonight.

Jarifa, this was marvelous. Thank you!

Diana

I just finished fixing the typos.

Thanks, Diana, for your kind comments. I, too, wonder how the Córcegas are going to get out of this one. Imelda certainly did not have the best judgment here taking m oney from Ana and not planning to have t pay it back.

Anyway. the fact that Ana "owns" them sure came out of left field. What a mess for the Córcega's to be in her debt. I could not believe Ana acting like she didn't know what Imelda had said to Tulio about her. Lola Merino who is playing Ana is doing a spectacular job playing Ana. Last night she was just riveting.

As for Tuliio, he is just rotten.

Back in "Mi corazón es Tuyo" that "electrical shock" device/game showed up, too. Since Osorio was also the producer of that one, I wonder of it is something he has had fun with once upon a time or if it is a popular thing. I seems like something out of the fifties.

Poor Daniela! Poor Gabriel! What a family he comes from! It is sure to give us some laughs if Daniela doesn't just shrink up and disappear. I hope that Daniela stops the scaredy cat routine soon.

I am hoping that Marisol and Belén can mentor Hugo.

One last thing . . . for now. I loved the scene with Julieta, Robert and the sugar enveloping them. . . it was like something out of a fairy tale.

Thanks so much Jarifa!!!

Tulio never told Ana what his mother said to him. I remember him stating that he never told her so it was a surprise to Ana. Ana knew how Imelda felt about her not having children, saying some horrible things, but she never knew Imelda told Tulio to leave her.

Wow Tulio is a piece of work. He has doubled down on Robert not telling the family the truth about the abduction by showing how indebted the family is to Ana. It sounds like Ana didn't expect the money to be paid back and gave it to relieve some of her guilt. Now Tulio is twisting it to "keep Ana safe" or more "to keep the truth from coming out". Tulio is definitely the bigger villain here but Ana went along with what Tulio was doing. Whole thing is so twisted.

Tulio firing Ana's driver and saying he is all she needs was frightening. Ana looked like a caged animal.

I don't understand how Rob being a specialty doctor and Juli with her huge position at cklass, don't have more money. I know they gave Hugo money but they should be back to saving after that. I don't think they could repay all of the money at once but they could rather quickly I think. They have few expenses...

Where is Audi/Polita and Ari? We know they have no money for food so why weren't they at breakfast.

Oh poor Dani. Clarissa is a nightmare. I hope Dani doesn't throw Gabi over because she thinks she'll never be accepted by his family. Her life is going to be 10x more difficult than Juli's with the in-laws.

Good Morning!

Great title Jarifa! and teh recap sensational and perfectly detailed...thank you!

OMGosh so much happened last night...

My favorite scene was the sugar fog surrounding our beloved couple. I was impressed how hte writer's brought that in instead of an unexplained fog. I am really glad they are back together again. I think Robert laughing at the confusion broke the ice a bit.

Tulio and Ana were vicious. Tulio hasn't been around for years, how could he possibly know what Imelda's health situation is now...what a despicable man he is. I do however, have an idea for the payback...this would be a great opportunity for Gabriel to get on Eugenio's good side if he gave them a loan or something similar just to get the couple from hell off their backs.

Diana, I believe Gabriel has two other sisters besides Clarissa. Daniela will probably need some good advice from Julieta on how to handle the obnoxious siblings and in-laws. From what I gathered a few episodes ago, Julieta knows the family.

Looks like Bruno is changing his mind...ack!

On Hugo going to work for Belen and Amalia...maybe Julieta is willing to give him a chance since he now has a job and is really trying to help himself...he's still an idiot, but a working one.

Thanks, Jarifa. Back later once I get a chance to read the recap, but I must say your title is a knockout!

Oh and I was so proud of Julieta and Robert for not backing down when each one was talking to Tulio and Ana. I think that between the two of them, they'll squash those two bugs.

Both Eugenio and Blanca suspect something is up between Tulio/Ana and Robert/Julieta. That "secret" seems to be coming to an end soon...that will be devastating for the family.

Hugo really seemed to be enjoying feeding the fish! He makes me laugh. Luckily he is married so hopefully he won't suffer too much sexual harassment at the hands of Amalia. He is pretty hot.

Call me crazy but I'm hoping Ana comes to her senses and goes around Tulio to tell the family that they don't need to pay her back. Unless Imelda signed a loan Note every time Ana gave money, legally any money not covered by a Note is seen as a gift, without expectation of repayment.

Gosh, I'm hoping Gabi only has one more sister. Two more Clarissa's is too much!

Thanks, everyone, for stopping by and your kind comments.

Carvivlie, thanks so much for clearing up the bit about Ana not knowing that Imelda had told Tulio to leave her. Now it makes much more sense.

RgvChick, yes, lukewarm Bruno looks like he may be changing his mind which only makes for more Linda/Bruno time. : (

Rats, we have to wait until tomorrow for another capítulo.

I just finished watching a two part documentary by Elizabeth Smart chronicling her abduction and rescue on A&EIt was interesting that in the documentary her parents struggled with the same problem that Eugenio and Blanca struggled with: How to keep looking for your missing child and not giving up hope while offering your other children the opportunity to go on with their own lives and have a future. This was something the Smarts were aware of from the beginning that could take a toll on their marriage if not handled properly. Again, it looks like our writers did their homework.

"...he's still an idiot, but a working one". Love your perspective on Hugo RgvChick! :)

Carvivlie, your noting Ana looking like a "caged animal" was spot on. Tulio has now effectively cut Ana off from the outside world.

And you know Jarifa, I've been so busy appreciating all the fine acting from our more favored characters, I have failed to notice how wonderful Lola has been as Ana. thanks for the reminder. She is a master at the eyes darting side to side and she conveys this troubled soul to a "t".

Diana

Loved reading the recap. Thanks Jarifa.

I love that Julieta and Robert got back together! Robert immediately started laughing when he understood what Julieta was worried about. It was a very silly thing in the first place but hey it got them back together.

“Julieta, Robert and the sugar enveloping them. . . it was like something out of a fairy tale.” Yes! I loved that too, Jarifa.

Does anyone watch Jane the Virgin? (I think it was mentioned) but it reminded me so much of Jane and Michael and how it “snows” on them. I wonder if that was inspiration or if this is becoming a TN trope.

"Please make their storyline stop.” I agree, Diana. All we get is Linda crying. The writers are dragging this way too long. They could at least show some growth. Linda keeps saying she wants to change but I don’t see her changing anything but her clothes.

Did Hugo study business? I was confused as why Julieta would choose him but maybe him being a business major is why she thought he would be perfect for the job.

Good question, Carvivlie: "Where is Audi/Polita and Ari? We know they have no money for food so why weren't they at breakfast. " I miss them.

Rgv Chick: " I think that between the two of them, they'll squash those two bugs." YES! Robert and Julieta = Power couple. They need to take down those evil souls!

So we met Gabriel's father and sister. He's a little like his father but he is not as nearly as annoying as his sister. I think he mentioned one more. This one is Clarissa and he told Dani "wait until you meet Cassandra" Even I want to run away. Let's hope Dani is strong enough to stay. I'm sure her love for Gabriel is as his love is for her.

-Jackie

Jackie, yes, I watch Jane the Virgin. Good observation about the “snow”(I still miss Michael).

Another excellent recap, Jarifa! Hmm, no matching jammies this time, but I too hope that will change when Julieta moves back in. And a very authentic detail (from my own personal experience), when Julieta is there the bed gets made. When she isn't, it doesn't. Mentoring Hugo sounds like a good idea. I too am not sure I'd trust him to manage a business--too willing to take chances.

"This one is Clarissa and he told Dani "wait until you meet Cassandra" Even I want to run away".

Yikes, me too Jackie!! :)

SpanProf, while it's admirable Hugo doesn't seemed to have killed any fish (yet), I don't quite think he's ready for management. :)

Diana

I noticed the mismatched jammie's too! But then quickly realized that Julieta's jammie's were actually Robert's since all of Julieta's clothes are still at Cat's house.

thanks for the wonderful recap

I think Hugo will be awesome, if he uses his boyish charm and sex appeal on the female customers, I believe the clothes will fly out the door!

Rena

Rena, I must admit, if I saw Hugo working in the store I would be visiting at least once a week!
