To catch up:
The “WTF we gonna do 'bout Norm” Beast meeting is going on.

Bela is working on a plan to get a couple more bullets into Norm after the Docs already dug seven of hers out of him.

Emi is still crying over a fellow whose name she can't even remember. She doesn’t want to fall in love ever again, but big bro tells her that in time she will find love again and she will feel better. JP then tells Emi that he is no longer dating Teresa because his job is so dangerous. Assassin kissing aside.

Andres and a Buddy want to try their hand in the KilaBela lottery. Fellows, there have been no winners so far.

Two against four in the Beast Meeting voted yes to do Norm in. Cristina votes no if Eman is not part of it.

Bela Mike and Pene are firming up the plans to get Norman. Looking at blueprints of Interpol and routes on a map.

JP and Emi still the same. Still eating chocolate ice cream. JP steals her ice cream. It does not appear to contain crack or tequila. He was pretty tentative on the first bite.

The Bela, Mike, and Pene plan is coming together, as they look over the floor plans. Obviously it will take all three of them for this one. They start assigning tasks for each to do. Pene and Mike tell Bella that she needs to distance herself from JP…he will get in the way. They tell her they can not help her with this mission unless she puts some distance between herself and JP But later when they are looking for her, it is to tell her that they are in, either way.

Horacio goes to see Eman to tell him the Beast Council's decision and they want his approval and help. Eman tells him he doesn’t want to get involved, but agrees to make things easier for them so they can get to Norman.

At home JP and Gloria with Emi and JP gives Emi a brochure of the best Universities where she can continue working on her Masters in TechnoRobotics...Wait. Never mind. Emi insists that she doesn’t want to go to the university; she wants to follow in her father’s footsteps.

Eman and Horacio in a discussion in Eman's office , something about Los Angeles in discussion as Horacio gestures out the window, I assume North, but I didn't catch it. It had to be about Norman.

Oh shit ! Mike runs out in front of a Popo truck and pretends to be hit, rolls under their truck, and when the driver gets out to attend to him he steals the truck.
 

Pene has done Bela's hair. The girts wait for Mike to arrive after he stashes the truck.

Ric Eman and JP discuss how they are going to transport Norman. Eman does not want a big Police convoy which will attract attention. In a TAXI? Is he kidding? Even JP thinks he’s crazy.

Horacio meets with Pilotman and Andres to give them money to take out Norman.

Simon questioning the truck driver about the truck being stolen, as he smells a BelaRat, and whether it is equipprd with a tracking device. The driver says yes, but if they are smart they will just disconnect it.

Eman and JP discussing Norman, and Eman tells him to chill, everything will work out. JP is not so sure. Eman has a plan to maybe help Emi get her life together. He might be able to get her a job. Oh Noes....

Bela goes to see Ric...to secretly squeeze more info from him about the Norm transfer. And he wants assurance from her that she has retired her vengeance plan. and lies to her about there being a huge convoy. Bela believes Ric and relays the info to Mike and Pene.

JP and Simon are in the casino looking around.

A group of henchies in the alley planning on taking the taxi to steal Norman for the Beasts/Eman. One of them mentioned be careful, as the boss will be in the trunk.

Norm is being readied to be transferred. Of course Eman is personally in charge, and gets in one last choking rough up on poor Norman as he injects him with what looks like an EPI Pen before removing his handcuffs and leaves Norman alone in his room.

At home Mike calls out to Bela but she is missing. She has sneaked out and meets JP outside his house. Simon is in a van somewhere nearby. Bela was listening in on JP discussing Norman. When she met him outside his house, she told him she had something very important to tell him but seemed to chicken out; so she told him she would just meet him somewhere else later to talk.

Norm is no longer handcuffed and tries to leave his room, but falls on the floor, and passes out. It appears to be an effect from the injection Eman administered. Eman and Ric come in and find what looks to be a dead Norman.

Yeppers, Norm is actually dead, and money is changing hands in Viewerville, as there had been heavy odds made on who would do the deed.

Ric is surprised no one came to claim the body, only the people who work with Norm. There would have been a lot more but they are all dead too.

JP and Simon have discovered the stolen truck and think Bela was planning something but called it off.

Back at the gym Bela is pissed that they got Norm before she did. Mike and Pene try to tell her that he can only be so dead, no matter who killed him, let it go. AND they ask her who is next.
She says HORACIO.

And we see her in her 'Office' starting to plan her next mission.

There's a Funeral and only two fellows show up.
 

Emi is at work and overhears Ric and Eman talking about something. Ric is surprised to see her there, and Eman mentions that her brother works for YOU.

Beast meeting again dividing up Norman's interest in their enterprise. They all think it kinda strange that he died the day he was to be transferred. Big bad blonde thinks Eman may have had something to do with it, given the circumstances.

Eman and Ric again talking about Norm and hoping Bela is at peace now that Castor and Norm are dead. Fer Sure Boyz.....

Pilotman and Andres go back to meet with Horacio and return most of the money he gave them since their job was messed up. They ask for a job as possibly security guards; so Horacio tells them that he does need someone(s) to do some dirty jobs.

Bela meets JP and tells him about the time she was Carolina in the casino and it was Emi who gave her a phone to talk to Castor, so now he knows his Sis was working with the bad guys. Bela asks him not to spill the frijoles to his Sis, but he is going to talk to her and try to find out exactly what she has been up to.

Great line, Kirby. Not much more to say since I haven't seen this yet, except that Eman sure enjoyed torturing Norman before his final exit. And surprised that Bela actually was able to tip off JP about his sis. Usually these important conversations are interrupted dramatically and events go forward disastrously. But this story is different in many respects from the typical telenovela.

Judy, Eman was especially aadistic in killing Norman, I agree. It made me cringe although I still say Castor got off much easier than deserved.

Emi is a misguided, troubled, deluded, overly emotional mess. Loser is right Jarifa. And such a wonderful plan to follow in daddy's footsteps. Histrionics are just one of the vital requirements for a criminal mastermind (or so I've heard).

Who is keeping the gym afloat financially?? I've yet to see one client.

Hate it that Eman is in the midst of all the planning and speculation. Now he has his little rodent Emi to help out. Blech.

YIKES I have the TV on and they just showed a preview of, probably, tonight which they did NOT show last night. Holy Guacamole, In this preview Bela is....................Oh wait, I can't say that. You will just have to tune in. Ha.

Yes I suspect Eman will reveal his true beast identity to Emi as soon as he is sure she is evil enough to be trusted. She can be a valuable mole for the beasts, being the sister of JP, Bela's future exNovio. And JP seems to be locked in to living with these two losers, his Mom and Sis, as he is the only one with any life skills, or income.

I continue to be shocked with how evil, heartless, sneaky and smart Emanuel is. I keep watching for any small mistake, or any clue Bela might have that things are not as they seem with him, but nothing yet. I cling to the hopeo that one of the other beasts will begin to turn on him or something, but it must be too early.
 

The armored car they effortlessly hijacked was probably stuffed with money, so I assume that is providing money to operate the gym and pay all three of their day to day living expenses.

I always assumed the gym was simply a cover for their training ground which they couldn't really implement at home.

Actually, Eman's way was the cleanest. Bestia's way involved killing 3 police officers. And Bela's way probably involved getting all her team killed. They didn't explain their plan, but I don't see how the three of them were going to get through a police escort.

Some manipulation was going on. Ric sent Bela on a wild goose chase with the info that Norm was going to be transferred at 3:00 with the police escort. This unsolicited information should have tipped Bela that something is not right. Bela, on her part, tried to take JP out of the game by sending him on a date with her at 3:00 in the park. She was very skillful in manipulating him. She did have some useful information for him, and she did eventually tell him about his sister. I imagine she will face this dilemma often - want to be honest with JP and hide what she is doing.

Emita, following her dad's steps? Like what? "Emi is a misguided, troubled, deluded, overly emotional mess." - totally agree, Diana.
 

Thanks Lucio. Crucial plot twists which I totally missed. I wondered about Bela meeting JP then "changing her mind'. Now it makes much more sense.

You have to hand it to Bela, she is clever. Reckless, yes, but she thinks too.

Bela has me wondering now whether she really will allow herself to feel something for JP, as evidenced by her daydream about the kiss, or if she will use his devotion to her to benefit her revenge plans only.

Her Achilles' heel is her trust of Ric and Emanuel. But why would she not? She is the daughter of a highly respected professional law enforcement officer, so her view is through rose colored glass.
 

Bela was showing frustration that it wasn't her who killed Norman. I don't see why she would. He is dead, she had a lot to do with it, she had the satisfaction of filling him with bullets. Like Mike said - Done, who is next?

That thing about Los Angeles was not about the city. After Eman agreed to "make things easier" for the beasts, Horacio asked what he was going to want in return. Eman responded that this would be a freebie for old times sake; and Horacio who was quite surprised, said, "Bendito, los angeles" (blessed be the angels).

Mike and Pene are very worried about Bella's involvement with JP...so much so that they even threatened to not help her with her current plan, but then they changed their minds. At the end, while JP and Bella were talking, Mike and Pene were watching and still commenting that if a relationship between JP and Bella developed, it would definitely affect their mission.

Jarifa, "Emília ... What a loser! So glad Bela told JP about her." I too was glad and quite surprised, as JudyB is too, that Bella would tell JP, but I think Bella caring for JP motivated her; and in some way, she cares and worries about Emilia too and is probably hoping that JP will lead Emi in the right direction.

Steve, it could also be that Emilia is one of those that will see the error of her ways and become a good, humble gal by the end of the show...and her mother just might stop drinking and become a real mom to Emi and JP...Yes, I'm eating LOTS of Hopeos.

Message to Steve: I have Dish too and was in a PANIC when they took Univision off. But with the help of a good friend, I found a quick solution. I went to Wal-Mart and bought myself a $25 antenna. Since I like Jarifa's idea of having an extra TV hooked up to antenna, I also bough a small TV for $98...went home and set everything up which was quite easy and quick to do and VOILA!! I get Univision now PLUS several other stations...I may just do away with Dish completely!

Thanks, Kirby. I'm still having trouble keeping up with the beasts, but I'm getting there.

Not sure why JP trusts Emanuel. JP knows the police did nothing when he phoned in the planned hit on Bella's dad, so JP should really not be trusting anyone besides Simon who trained with him. Everybody on the force at the time of the hit should be on JP's non-trust list.

Emi is a pain but not a dummy. Emanuel plans on using her, but I'm hoping it's the other way around. At least she's into eavesdropping.

Can't help but think of the details, like what will Pene and Mike do with the police truck now. Would love to see Bella and her team get the beasts to turn on each other, so they'd take each other out without her having to do it.
 

Thanks, kirby. I turned the show on last night, but after two days of catching up on chores and errands after our trip and getting ready for company , I fell asleep. I got a glance at JP, but I did not get a look at Mike.

Diana, oh my..a 14 hour workday. Do your employers think that you are Wonder Woman? I thought about you while Hub and I made our way north. Your comment about Teflon made me think of a friend's cop husband who was hit in The eye while working security at a bar and had Teflon inserting under his eyeball. Our friend who wasn't his fan told him , "Well,at least egg won't stick to your face."
 

RgvChick, the other nice thing about antenna TV is that HD is free. Comcast Wants to charge me for that.

" about antenna TV is that HD is free." These greedy TV program providers actually have to downconvert their normal HD TV to Non-HD to send to their customers who do not pay extra for the HD versions. An extra cost step, but worth it if they can charge more or the un altered original HD signal.

Just absolute GREED, nothing else. Like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Kirby, thank you for the recap and for the info on the down conversion some providers do. I didn't realize they went out of their way to provide lower def. Sheesh!

Anyway, I'm one more vote for watching Over The Air broadcasts. I have a $10 flat antenna and a $29 DVR (to which I have to connect an external USB hard drive if I want to record the programs, but I have at least a dozen sitting around unused lately). And that's what I actually do, I record and watch later when I can. Much better in my opinion as it's really, really hard to fast forward on the live stream. I've tried countless times and have yet to succeed :-)

These contract negotiations are not particular to Dish. Maybe a year or so ago an elderly friend who had Time Warner cable (now Spectrum) had the same problem. She used to like to watch Univision afternoon programming. She was paying for cable and didn't get to watch her shows while I still could get Univision programming.

I imagine that Univision wants to be paid too much and the cable providers want to pay too little. So "negotiations".


As always, both the recap and the comments have made me aware of things I completely missed or misunderstood, so my thanks to everybody.

Emi and her short skirts better watch out, they could wind up pregnant (not necessarily a bad thing) and then dead (something we usually want to avoid while we can).

Niecie I too would prefer Bela play the Beasts against each other. BUT...based on the fact that she was more than a little annoyed that Eman, (or somebody and NOT her) killed Norman, I'd say she will never even entertain that strategy.

Lets see now, Bela should be in her early to mid twenties now after five years in the orphanage, so she probably wanted a selfie with the dead Norman. I'm sure that is what had her steamed.

Something I've been pondering: If everyone thinks that Norman was murdered, including Ric, JP and Simon, why wasn't an autopsy ordered. It wouldn't prove who killed him (unless there are cameras showing who entered to see Norman), but their suspicions would be confirmed.
 

I was wondering the same thing. In almost any death where the person is not killed by a boulder falling on them there is SOME question as to the cause of death.

And I finally found out why our characters are always going to and from CDMX:

Episode 16, Part 1: Mission isBotchable

At the city office, a group of protesters gather. Pilotman tells the people to be quiet; the mayor has sent him to take care of the situation. He tells the leader, Mauricio, to write down their complaints/demands so they can come to some type of an agreement. Mauricio yells that they want the mayor to give up his office (fat chance!). Pilotman tells them to calm down and to try to work things out peacefully.

Mike, Bella and Pene look at the information on Horacio. They see that he was a sleazbucket even as a child when he would steal money from his mother. He grew up to be a bigger sleaze and took over someone’s business. When his mother died, his world fell apart. He met a rich girl and married her, but as time passed things went south. The wife would secretly watch as he would sexually assault the maid. Then she would threaten to turn him in; and when she told him that he only went after the maids because they reminded him of his mother, he pushed her off a building…then dumped cement on her to cover the murder. Instead of going to jail, Horacio got all her inheritance and invested in the Quintero casinos. Horacio now seems to live alone and doesn’t socialize much (because nobody would want to be seen with a seazeball).

Horacio is at home drinking. The maid, Mireya, asks him if he’s if she can do anything for him; so he tells her to go fix his bed.

JP talks to Emi and asks her what she did during all that time that she didn’t go to the university. He’s there to help her, but she needs to tell him what she wants. Emi wants to return to the past and that her father be alive (oh sure, let’s just wiggle our noses or repeat “There’s no dad like dead dad…and tap you heels together’).

Horacio is now in his bedroom looking at the picture of his wife. He remembers how she told him that the maid reminded him of his mother. He goes into the Mireya’s bedroom and starts putting his slimy hands all over her…she allows it.

Mauricio goes to see Mireya who happens to be his sister. He asks her if she has any information; he is looking for evidence to bring down her boss. After she tells him that she hasn’t heard anything, he tells her to be vigilante…and to be careful. Meanwhile, someone is watching them and taking pictures.

JP looks at his board of beasts and sits on his bed. Meanwhile, Bella looks at the video and thinks out loud that Horacio is next. Just then, JP calls Bella and asks who’s next, but Bella pretends that she’s not up to anything. JP warns her that Castro and Norman are nothing compared to the other beasts. He asks her to leave the past behind and to live in the present.

Horace is talking to Andres and Pilotman. They show him the picture they took of Mauricio and tell him that he is the leader of the protesters. Horace tells them to do what is done to all rats.

Bella, Mike and Pene are planning the hit. Bella says that they need to make things look like an accident. Pene still insists that Bella is in love with JP and that will be a problem.

Emi is with Eman. She’s already done the task he told her to do. Eman asks if she has any idea why he gave her the job. Obviously she doesn’t know. She thinks it’s so that JP can pressure her into going to the university. Eman tells her that he gave her the job because he thinks she deserves an opportunity. He can help her…the only thing she needs to do is take the job seriously.

Outside the city office, the protesters are gathered. Mike approaches and starts making conversation with Mauricio. Mauricio tells him about their complaints; they’re tired of all the corruption. They want no more RATS. Meanwhile, Pene goes to Horacio’s house disguised as a vendor. She looks around while Mireya goes to look for something. The maid tells Pene to leave because then she’ll get in trouble. Before Pene leaves, she is able to get some info on Horacio’s schedule.

 

Episode 16, Part 2: Mission isBotchable

Bella is at the mayor’s office also in disguise. She’s pretending to look for a job. Pilotman and Andres come out of Horacio’s office; and when Pilotman sees Bella, he seems to recognize her, but she turns away so he doesn’t get a good look. After they leave, Bella asks one of the secretarys about the mayor and whether he comes to the office every day. Just then, Horacio comes out of his office. As he and the secretary walk, Bella goes with them and overhears that he has a medical appointment. Horace tells Bella to come back the following week; they may have an opening then. After Bella leaves, Horacio tells the secretary to make sure there will be a job for Bella.

JP is at his office looking at pictures of the Senator. Simon comes and asks what he was looking at but JP tries to avoid the question.

Bella is in the Batcave dressed in black ready to go do the job. Pene must have helped her with her new luk…she’s wearing braids. Bella comments that they need to go late to make sure that the mayor is asleep. She tells Penny and Mike to be there in the patio underneath Horacio’s bedroom window.

Horacio is at home. He gave Mireya a dress; and he won’t leave until she puts it on. Later they’re outside on the patio drinking and chatting. He gives her a lot of BS about his wife…Mireya’s not like her at all. He likes her because she is different…this is something he had never told anyone that before...more BS. After they toast to the best five months of his life, he tells Mireya to leave.

Later, Mireya gets off a taxi with her luggage. As she walks down the dark alley, two men grab her and carry her into the suburban.

The Bella team arrives at Horacio’s house; and they get out of the car.

At his home, Mauricio is watching the news and talking to Lucia. Meanwhile outside, Mireya is struggling to get to the door; after she knocks on the door, she falls to the ground. Mauricio opens the door and tells Lucia to call an ambulance when he sees Mireya.

The Bella team synchronize their watches. Bella sneaks inside Horacio’s house and looks around. She is surprised to sees JP‘s picture on a mantle among other pictures. She slowly goes upstairs. Meanwhile Mike and Penny are outside. Penny is anxious; so Mike tells her that they need to wait until Horacio is asleep. Just then, Mike sees movement on his videocam. It’s Mauricio and Lucia who have come after Horacio. Mauricio starts yelling that Horacio is corrupt and a coward. Lucia tells him that they should leave, but Mauricio refuses. Instead he throws a rock and breaks the window. Bella hears the noise and stops right outside Horacio’s bedroom door. Horace wakes up and goes to the window. Mauricio is still yelling and making a commotion; so Mike tells Bella to get out of there. Horace gets his gun and shoots at Mauricio…he’s so drunk he’d probably miss an elephant. Mauricio keeps throwing rocks; so Horacio threatens to call the popo. Bella is now out and wonders what is going on. Mike wants to leave, but Bella insists on staying; so Mike tells her that the police are on the way. Bella still thinks it’s a good opportunity to do the job. The cops arrive and arrest Mauricio. Lucy asks them him to let him go because his sister is in the hospital, but they ignore her. Mike warns Bella that this is their last chance to get away. Bella hesitantly follows Mike and Pene.

Andres and pilotman are with Horacio who wants to know why they left Mireya alive. He shouldn’t have trusted them to do the job….the next time they better do it his way. Andres wants to go to the hospital to finish Mireya off, but Horacio has another plan…he wants everyone to think that he is a victim.
 

Episode 16, Part 3: Mission isBotchable

JP is home looking at his board of beasts when Horacio calls JP’s home. Gloria answers first and chides Horacio for taking their home. JP then gets on the line and asks Horacio what he wants. Horacio tells him that something has happened and they need to talk before things get complicated.

The Bella team is still in their car. Mike figures out that Horacio must have wanted to get back at Mauricio by hurting his sister. He thinks that this will complicate things and things will be more difficult for them. Before they do anything else, Bella just wants to know if the woman is dead or alive.

So if they left Mireya alive, why were P in A given another chance? I thought in their business, if the first, 'Test' task was not completed as ordered, you were not called back for more work. I actually caught myself giving those two Neanderthals 'points' for only beating the bejesus out of her rather than killing her.

And what happened to the old trusty snipping ? Where you figure out his habits, and use a high powered rifle from like a quarter mile away and just shoot him. There are loads of deer hunters out there who could make that shot easily. Just gotta figure a way to get him to wear antlers for a day.

Gosh the fourth puts me in such a good mood. Happy fourth Patio.
 

OT: Jarifa. The content producers spend millions on High Definition cameras and High Resolution lenses to produce shows in High Definition, along with high end processing equipment to edit it and achieve the other tasks to provide a finished show. None of this stuff can produce a low resolution version simultaneously, thus, it is a post production task to "corrupt" it to low resolution.

That is only one of the many reasons I hate cable companies. But mainly it is against my nature to pay some entity for the opportunity to watch some mind numbing dribble when I should be doing something more productive.

The way they sucked the sheeple into PAYING to watch free TV initially was that there were NO COMMERCIALS if you paid for cable. Hrmpfh, how long did that last?

But then I'm just weird.

"(oh sure, let’s just wiggle our noses or repeat “There’s no dad like dead dad…and tap you heels together’)" was my favorite line but "Mission isBotchable" was simply inspired.

I found this to be the most upsetting installment yet. I still see the beaten within an inch of her life Mireya collapsing on the doorway. She wasn't abused enough by Horacio, she had to ensure this. How cruel can you be to hurt a little sparrow?? I wish I could purge that scene from my memory.

I loathe Horachio's henchies more than Castro and Norman. They at least appeared to be "normal" human beings and had more than one dial labeled "hate".

And yes Kirby, would love to see Horacio go after someone his size like the blonde.

Yes, Bella does have a heart...I'd like to see a little more action from Mike and Pena. They've spent too much time standing around and brooding.

Horacio's wife knew his secret and paid dearly. I will wait for Horacio's end and be relieved when he is gone.

Not that it really matters, but I didn't get the whole Horacio--Maid thing. It appeared that he had raped her previously. He then buys that dress and insists she wear it, and nothing happens as they are chatting as if on a date. She appeared to have her own room, as if she were a live-in maid, then when she was kidnapped she had her luggage as if she had been let go. Was her dress a going away present from Rapist as he was done with her?

I can'r hate him any more, but I am still curious.

So I see that he whacked his wife, who called him out on his escapades. I do expect Mireya to get whacked.
 

Steve..he already had his two Hench trainees beat her up, although they were told to kill her, but somehow couldn't accomplish such a menial task successfully. She may be safe now, if she goes into hiding. Her big mouthed Brother is of no use. Like a Harley, all noise no power.

So Mauricio and his sister Mireya had a plan to take down Horacio. Incredible that Mauricio would let his sister pose as a live-in maid in the house all alone with that vermin. I'm sure Mauricio didn't know Mireya was putting up with Horacio's sexual desires, but still it was too dangerous for her to be there solo and dumb to come back loaded with only rocks. If I heard it right, the two henchies thought they did kill Mireya, but I guess they failed to double-check before leaving her body outside her brother's place.

I dunno, maybe it was the camera angle, but Mike's haircut looked especially feo last night.
 

Hair must have NOT been a consideration when Bela was assembling her team.

I've seen frogs with better hair.
 

The M&M part of the story was just dumber than sled tracks. Mauricio knows the mayor is dirty, OK. He stages a rally / protest, OK which does nothing. They plant Mireya inside as the maid, but I have no clue what that accomplished.

Then Mau comes back out at night and hurls rocks at the windows. Unless it was just simply a knee jerk reaction to what was done to his sis, Dumb again. The Mayor might have some connections with Law Enforcement. He might take advantage of those connections if people are throwing rocks through his windows, even if he were on the up and up.

Bela already has a couple on the payroll who should not get a raise at review, I don't see what M&M can add.

Horrible Horacio did turn out to be more horrible that we first thought. He has stolen his way through life and prefers defenseless women to piranhas or tigers like his former wife and Big Bad Blonde. Mauricio is right; he is definitely a coward. So which of the deadly sins can we assign to him? Greed?? It's hard to assign just one sin to any of the beasts...they are SO bad!

I'm another one who did not understand the whole Mireya story. Very little of it, in fact. Although she looked uncomfortable the entire time, she let Horacio grope her and start taking off her clothes without a single word. Had this happened before? Either way, why did she just permit it? Then they have their little "date" before she leaves for home, and he tells her to call him "Horacio" now, which she does, reluctantly.
It's all very strange and if it's explained in the show I totally did not get it.

Andy, what you saw is pretty much what we all saw...no explanation. The only thing I can think of is that Mireya felt obligated to do "whatever it takes" to help her brother get info to bring down Horacio. I was also confused as to why she had that luggage with her when they grabbed her. Did she decide to leave Horacio's house for good? Is Uni messing with our heads and slicing relevant scenes??

BTW, has anyone noticed that Maite Perroni is uploading the episodes for B&B on Youtube. The episodes are usually up the following day.

I'm sure y'all are already aware of this, but just in case, here's what my local Univision affiliate had to say about the dispute with Dish network:

It did not occur to me to wonder why she was there in the first place. I should have questioned it. But as you noted Niecie, how could her own brother subject her to that monster? To feed him information?? Forget what I said earlier. I'm done with Mauricio. That little sparrow had no chance.

Bellajul04 ep17 pt1

Bela's mission on Horacio was ruined by Mauricio and the girl Lucy, so Bela, Mike, and Pene had to get out of there before the cops came.


Tonight: Lucy goes to check on Mireya in the hospital, and of course JP shows up. But she has died
and Lucy tella JP she is sure Horacio sent guys to kill her

Then JP goes to visit Horacio at home. Horacio pretends to feel bad about Mireya and pretends to understand Mauricio coming to his house last night so he drops the charges on Mauricio.

Bel has lost the hairdo. She talks with Pene about Horace and wants to get evidence that he had Mireya killed. Pene tells Bela that is not part of their original mission, so to speak. May as well talk to a rock.

Mike Pretends to be a phone service guy and calls Hor’s house about the internet. Doris now gets hired at Hor's house.

Bel meets JP at Comeback and lets him in as they talk about Horace in the news. Bela plays dumb.
JP knows Bel has info on the beasts and wants her to share that information. Bela doesn't know ANYTHING, but JP knows better. JP then admits that he has no doubt Horace had Mireya killed.

Mauricio is so bummed about his sis he tells Lucy he wants to give up, but she talks him into going on.

The henchies A&P go out and get in with the demonstrators and tell them they are wasting their time. Their big leader has not even shown up and abandoned them, just go home ya losers.
Then Mauricio shows up and tells his demonstrators that because of their demonstrations his sis was killed and now they have to work against Horacio even harder.

JP and Bel outside Comeback, Bella mention their encounter in the elevator which appears to make them both extremely horny.
He does not want Bela to take revenge for her own safety, you can imagine how much luck he had with that.

JP and Simon are at work. He thinks Horacio called him to his house to throw him off the trail. And JP is talking about being in Luuuurve, but refuses to tell Simon who the lucky lady is. Simon thinks that is hilarious. Simon does not think a man in Horace's position would be involved in anything like Murder. JP tells Simon that Mauricio has good reasons to accuse Horacio.
 

Part 2

Bela wanted to be the new maid but Mike tells her that Horacio has already hired a girl.

Bel is back at Horacio's office looking for a job when she runs into Tobias/pilotman. JP and Simon arrive just in time and JP remembers that he is the pilot. JP asks about pilotman and Andres says he used to work for Castor.

Mike joins the demonstration, and asks Mau if he has any idea who actually killed his sister,.. Mike tells him he is in.

Pene strikes out again as a vendor at HorHouse.
JP and Sim are at the mayor's office as they want to question Hor about Mireya's death.
Hor is like, she worked for me, but I didn't know much about her. Hor thinks JP is making it personal, as Hor took their house, and will not talk without an attorney. JP asks Horacio why he has people from organized crime working for him and Hor pretends not to know what he is talking about. He tells Horacio that Andres and Tobias used to work for Castor. Horacio feigns surprise and disbelief.

Doris is now the new maid at HorHouse. She complains about her dress being so short. Hor tells her she will get used to it. Which deadly sin is that? Is it deadlier than putting THAT much spaghetti in yore pie hole with one shovelful?

Mike and Bel talking, and decide that Bel needs a new disquise, as Andres and Tobias seemed to recognize her. JP didn’t recognize her because he didn’t get a good look at her.

Pene had Horacio's phone tapped and hears Hor call BBB for a hooker, so Mike calls and cancels it, and Pene wants Bel to go instead.

 

Three

Bela shows up in RED looking irresistible and Andres and Pilotman are interrogating her. They are suspicious and say she looks familiar, but she assures them she has never seen them. Hor sends them away.

JP calls Bela's voicemail and tells her he likes her offer about getting info on Hor. Little does he know what she is doing right NOW. He is looking for the green flag, she is looking for the checkered.

Bel is stalling for time, and Hor sends the maid to her room for the night. Bel likes those hair over the face disquises. Bela tells him she recognizes him from TV as the man whose maid died. Hor is pounding shots getting in the mood.

Em & Em at a restaurant. Just small talk about how her life changed in an instant. And Eman reminds her of the things she used to enjoy, like tennis, etc.

Hor is blitzed and trying to get Bel into his bedroom. She tells him she is an escort, not a hooker. Hor says same thing. There is a little back and forth, as Bel remembers vowing to Pene and Mike that is one line she will not cross. Whew, thank you Bela.

Hor flies into a fit of rage and goes across the room to get her some money as Bel grabs a lamp and hides behind a corner not sure what he is actually doing, but he actually goes to his safe for a big roll of money.

JP calls Simon with Mireya's results that she had sex right before she died…and her brother assured them that Mireya didn’t have a boyfriend.

One thing I can’t get out of my head about this episode is that HUGE glob of spaghetti Hor shoved into his ‘piehole’ OMGOSH what a PIG!!

Now how will Bella get out of this one?? Did she really think she was going to go in there and not be expected to “perform”? Puh-lease! She’s not that naive!

For the one that said don't kiss me again while you have novia, she sure was inviting another kiss. JP has not told her he broke up with Teresa and Bela didn't raise any objections to the kiss.
 

I would hope that Bela stays focused on just killing the bestias and that we do not get mired into too many side plots.

Steve, yes, Mauricio especially is indirectly to blame. Someone pointed out yesterday how stooopid it was of him to send his sister in with the wild hog. And from Hor's comment to Mireya that it had been the best five months of his life, I'm assuming she had been there and endured his sickening advances that long. Poor thing!

Nina, "Bel looked good but that hair in the face over 1 eye would drive me nuts." Yes, it would drive me nuts, but I'm sure Bella uses it to cover most of her face and minimize the chances of being recognized. Although...she was planning to wear braids when she was planning ot be Hor's next maid.

This TN does an excellent job of showing the Bestias to be real slime buckets before they meet their ends. I think they don't want anybody to say "Oh, dear, they should have given him another chance to be a good boy."

The down side is that I feel sad seeing bad things happen to innocents like Mireya.

Watching Bela and Penélope prettying themselves up so as to be "disguised" is fun. Even Penélope got to be attractive for a change.

I think I'm going to check in just to see the wonderful photos, but the show itself is depressing me. And the recaps are disturbing. Not for how they're written (you're both doing a great job) but because of the abuse happening. Just don't need that right now.

Rgv Chick, glad you got a picture of your predator. Now what to do, what to do? Sit up all night with a shotgun? Well, Mama knows best.

You know, I even find the coloration in the film of this telenovela depressing. It gives an acidic yellowish haze to everything making the whole world look smudged and sucio. So bowing out for now, and hoping for a happier, more traditional story soon.

One of them is into the jewelry business, so maybe Bella can have her choke on a diamond; the other runs an "escort" service, so Bella should hand her over to the sex trafickers...if they'll have her. I've read that the Madame has had several 'alterations" so maybe disfigure her, then kill her???

JudyB, glad that you'll continue to check in. From what I see, it'll be a while before a happier, more traditional story comes along. I had been watching "Simplemente Maria" at 3 (E) and it finished today. It will be replaced with "El Vuelo de la Victoria" (The Fight to Victory) which sounds pretty good. If you google it, there's a short synopsis on Wikipedia. Oh, and I'm still sleeping lightly and when I hear the chickens squawking, I jump out of bed and grab my shotgun...usually to no avail :-(

JudyB, I can understand. I was hoping for better and for some fun with Bela's sexy disguises. But my take on her disguises is that they are on par with Clark Kent putting on eyeglasses so nobody will realize he is Superman. Still, we live in hope, and I wouldn't want to miss this patio, so I hang in.

BTW, this is better weather for you to change into NudyB to see if anybody recognizes you . But you don't have any snow that needs shoveling now unless you have been hoarding it somewhere.

JudyB, I totally understand. It's a shame Uni hasn't programmed a romantic comedy at the 8 o'clock hour. Viewerville sure could use some comic relief.

It could be staged as a protest that goes haywire, and in the cornfusion Bela disappears "so Whoracio saves face".

BTW...I had thought that "Cold Shoulder" fashion thing had surfaced in recent years according to Susy, but having that Bible show R&L on before our show proves otherwise. One of those Bible girls has a cold shoulder robe of a thing on, so it has been around a while, huh?
