Caray, Caray!

Ari meets with Tavo and tells him about a new friend Temo  who is different and about his predicament. Tavo tells him the world is always evolving and that it is normal for people to be afraid of changes. People need time to adjust to new situations. It is important that Ari is true to his heart. The issue for Ari is that he likes Temo as a friend but Temo "likes" him as something more. How can he tell him that he doesn't feel the same?


Pancho sees Blanca in the hall coming back from shopping. She tries to ignore him because she is angry with him for being on Crisanta's side when she always received him with open arms. He tries to explain that Susana is a friend of his and that Crisanta, her mother, is going through a very bad time. Blanca reminds him that she and her family are going through a bad time, too. She won't be bothering him anymore.

Robert, Julieta and Vicente have dinner together. Vicente is happy to be Robert's teacher and thinks he is a great doctor but also thinks that Robert should get out of Oaxaca because there are so many more children out there who could benefit from his help. Robert tells him he is taking his life step by step: first his family, then the rest. Vicente is jealous of their marriage and starts badmouthing Susana. Julieta sticks up for her saying Susana works as hard as she can and that her work affects thousands of women and their families. Vicente doesn't give her work the same importance as his. Julieta agrees that medicine is fundamental to a society but working hard to support your family is, too. Many of the women who work with them are single mothers. Robert tries to stop the conversation with no success. Julieta continues. Susana is an example of someone who supports her family herself since she and her family are for all purposes alone. Susana deserves his respect not just for her work but for also being the mother of his children. Robert wants to change the subject again but this time Vicente won't have it. He likes that Julieta is so direct. He never realized that she and Susana were such great friends. Julieta says they aren't but that doesn't mean that she doesn't respect her. Vicente still insists that his work changes the world and theirs doesn't. Susana is doing okay for a woman and is doing what she wants. Julieta gets angry and accuses him of minimizing all women. Women are changing society and that is something he doesn't want to accept. Robert supports Julieta and says they just think very differently. Vicente tells him to watch what he says. Julieta comes to Robert's defense saying that Robert knows exactly what he is saying. He supports his wife and her values which is something Vicente does not do. She also now understands why Susana divorced him for being a cave man and a male chauvinist. Robert never thought that Vicente was such a male chauvinist the way he talks about Susana. Vicente says his opinion of Susana does not apply to all women. Julieta does not agree. He started off with saying what he thought about Susana and then applied his opinion to everybody. Julieta feels that the world needs more kindness and equality as opposed to lies and hatred. What kind of an example is he setting for his sons? If he doesn't respect their mother, how can they? Vicente doesn't agree. Julieta tells him that children learn from the examples they see around them. Furthermore, she thinks that is why Sebas is like he is: violent and rebellious. Robert agrees. Children learn what they see. Vicente shakes his head. He thought the dinner would be a nice way to end his trip to Mexico but now he will be leaving with a bad taste in his mouth. Vicente insists on paying because he the "controlling male chauvinist" extended the invitation. He will contact Robert soon. He leaves. Julieta apologizes. Robert sees no need since he cannot believe Vicente's opinions. He expects some tension now when he has to deal with him. Julieta says Susana is Susana but she is a professional person. Robert thinks they will end up being friends. Julieta doesn't. They decide to share a quintuple sized chocolate dessert and take advantage of the fact that the children are being taken care of.

In the meantime, Catalina has started a fire in the kitchen with her herbs that will cleanse the house and too much oil as she moans about how unfair life is. Dave with his swimming goggles on helps her clear the smoke as she goes on about being a big loser in life. Dave tells her how he dreams sometimes about how his REAL mom left him home alone and there was a fire. Catalina apologizes for having scared him. It was a stupid mistake on her part. Everything will be okay. She will open the windows and put down wet towels outside the children's rooms so they do not have to smell the smoke. Catalina knows that Julieta will kill her. Robert and Julieta come home frantically looking for the kids in the smoke. Catalina explains how her ritual herbs blew up on her. Robert asks if she is okay. She is fine but she is devastated by the closing of the hotdog stand and now the fire in the kitchen. She waves her flag of truce. She knows they want her out even more now with the kitchen fire but she needs just a little time to find a job. Catalina insists on cleaning it all up ehrse;f.

Pancho tries to talk to Blanca again. He asks her not to be like that. He invites her to sit. He explains how the situation got out of control and he is on nobody's side. He wants to talk about the friendship he and Blanca have and, also, Robert who throws tantrums like he is four year old who is going to lose his mother. Blanca explains it is not so easy because it is no fantasy but something that Robert actually went through when they were separated when he was so young. Pancho sees her as his confident and he never would have told her about Rebeca if he did not value their relationship. He asks if she can share her heart. He misses her a lot. He says he should give her an assignment to write 100 times that true friendship should never be lost and he leaves.

Frida is on her bed on her phone. Linda is on her bed texting with Axel. They talk about "liking" boys. They talk about how girls know that they "like" somebody. Frida says that is how she feels about Camilo. At the same time, "Camilo" a middle-aged man is on his phone looking at pictures of Lupita and Frida.

Polita asks Audifaz where he was all afternoon. He tells he he went out to sell his books but nobody wanted any. Polita sees him get very uncomfortable and refers to him as her "mysterious" husband. He asks where else would he have gone. She is on Ari next and is sure they are both hiding something from her.

It turns out that Crisanta is a loud snorer just like a "rhinoceras"and the López family cannot believe it. Tomorrow Pancho will talk to her about maybe sleeping on her side but he has a solution for tonight: the ear plugs that he still happens to have from the swimming competition.

Blanca is still up looking at cake recipes with her broken glasses. Imelda comes in next aggravated with the whole Crisanta mess. Eugenio follows with a sore hip. Imelda wants their assistance in making Crisanta's stay in the building so disagreeable that she will just leave.

Susana calls Pancho but cannot go out because she needs to stay with Sebas. She asks about how her mother is doing. She is "really" asleep. He tells her about the standoff between Crisanta and Imelda. Susana can hear her mother snoring in the background. She first thought it was a motorcycle. She admits Crisanta snores a lot.

Axel thinks about his grandfather telling him you always have to take a risk in life. He gets a text from Linda who wants their next date to be a motorcycle ride.

Daniela tells Gabriel one more time that their marriage is not working and she cannot take it anymore. She feels so powerless since she cannot help him. He blames it on the depression. Daniela recognizes that they still love each other but she can't put him back together again. She is going to her mom's house. They kiss goodbye for now. Gabriel is left in tears.

Julieta and Robert work on Dave's party decorations. She feels bad about Catalina moving out but is happy that she is putting forth the effort to move ahead. They both agree that Hugo showed some initiative, also.  Julieta thinks this is the time to make sure Dave understands how much they love him.  She, also,  understands that Dave wants to know about his biological parents but is still worried that they will lose him. Robert assures her that will not happen.

Dave wakes up to the Happy Birthday rally! Dave is happy and his family is happy. Dave gets a bike for his birthday from his parents.

Crisanta is busy in the hall waking "all the lazy people" and calling them to work by up banging on a pot as hard as she can. Pancho tells Crisanta to stop. No way! She is imposing new rules. Everyone needs to be up early to take advantage of the day. The early bird gets the worm. Imelda and Blanca come out to complain. Imelda yells at Crisanta and Pancho. Pancho said he was asking Crisanta to stop, too. Crisanta tells her not to mess with her ally. There will be order in the building. Imelda complains some more and Crisanta reminds her that she is willing to go to court.

Imelda wants Blanca and Eugenio to be her allies as if it were World War II. She makes them swear they are with her. They pledge on their lives to make sure Crisanta gets nothing.

Vicente stops by Susana's to say goodbye to his children. Susana tells her sons to say goodbye to their father because he is going back to Africa. He accuses her of using a mocking tone. She says it is not mocking because he is going back to Africa, isn't he? Axel goes on about how important his dad's work is and how he helps loads of kids. Vicente replies that even if their mother doesn't understand he is on the frontier of medicine and HIS profession is like no other. Susana says she gets it. Her job is just not important. He says it just is that working an an office doesn't save lives. She is sick of him always demeaning her. She sees her job as just as important in the way it changes the lives of many women. Axel adds that his father means that her job doesn't deal with life and death. Sebas declares his father a hero. Susana is upset. Axel says he didn't want it to come out the way it did. Susana knows that it will never matter to them what she does because they will never recognize her work, what she has sacrificed for them and how it hurts her that they do not appreciate what she has done.

It is time for Dave's birthday cake with his family. As Dave goes to blow out the candles, he states his wish out loud: he wants to meet his REAL father. Robert's face falls as well as Julieta's.
