Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Capítulo 92, Tuesday, January 22, 2019; The truth is revealed and Daniela goes into labor

We open with Daniela having a contraction at Susana’s bridal shower. At Pancho’s place, Gabriel has the guys taste the new mezcal, which didn’t turn out very well and tasted diluted. He apologizes and asks Guido if he knows anything about this. Guido of course denies knowing anything. Then, Linda and Frieda come knocking at the door and running in to tell Gabriel about the contraction. He wants to take Daniela to the hospital, but she doesn’t want to go. Susana says that since she is having triplets, they could come premature. Then Axel advises her about the contractions. Dani says it was only one contraction and since it was only one contraction she decides it’s a false alarm.

Guido looks proud of himself as he thinks about the poison that will be very difficult to detect when it is ingested.

As Gabe attends to Daniela, his face is looking very blotchy. There is obviously something wrong with him.

Grecia asks everyone to tell everyone their bests memories of Susana and Pancho. Sebas says his best memory is when Pancho saved his life when he was in the pool.

Mássimo and Imelda are dining together. Then Catalina and Tavo see them. Catalina makes a pact with Imelda to keep quiet about her date with Mássimo if she Imelda no longer criticizes Catalina for dating Tavo, a younger man.

As Catalina and Tavo have dinner, Tavo mentions marriage. Catalina tells him she is not interested in marriage because of what happened in her first marriage. Tavo is crushed as Catalina says she wants to discard any idea of marriage. She likes things the way they are and doesn’t want anything to change. Then he says he is going to pay the bill, is tired and wants to go home to sleep.

Gabe talks to Guido about the contaminated Mezcal and wants to find out if any of the employees know anything about it. Gabe doesn’t want anything done, no employees fired, until they can investigate. He hopes it really was an accident. Guido tells Gabe not to worry and they hug. [Stay away from him Gabe!]

Grecia explains to Eugenio the best place to do his therapy is right there at home because he has so many memories there.

Temo and Ari walk through a park together. They see the park bench where Ari turned him down, but Ari tells him not to panic. They sit down and Ari gives him some bracelets that say, “ArisTemo.” They start eating some kind of sour rock candy, but the police see them and think it is some sort of drugs. [like meth candy?] The police officers still detain them while they try to explain that this is really candy.

Susana and Pancho clean up together and somehow end up in the bedroom when Cristanta comes a callin’ with some desserts and has all the kids with her. He leaves Susana in the bedroom to hide, it’s very slapstick as she tries to hide under the bed. Mind you, she is fully clothed and it doesn’t look like anything real ‘lovin’ happened either. Pancho comes back to the bedroom to try to figure out what to do. Then Sebas calls Susana on her phone. Pancho’s phone starts ringing too and it’s Temo telling him that he is being detained by police at the park. He asks Pancho to bring the candy with him to show the police.

Pancho rushes over there with all the kids to show the police that it’s just candy! He gives the officer a sample to taste and they find out, it’s just really sour candy and not drugs. The police release the boys.

Imelda comes to Polita’s apartment with her hand drawn out asking for rent money, now that she is no longer married to her son. Apparently, Imelda does not consider Polita [who was married to her loser son for all those years], family anymore. [Hello! Audifáz doesn’t seem to be paying alimony so Polita doesn’t have much of an income.] Imelda coldheartedly demands the rent money anyway.

Guido confronts his grandfather about giving Gabe the managerial position with the company. He tells Guido that he is still young and Gabe older and more experienced and not to be upset.

Imelda and the granddaughters are knitting together and she mentions something about have seven grandchildren. Then Dani says there are only 6 and counts them. Then Imelda laughs and says she must have been counting Frida and forgot she was a great-grandchild and she laughs.

Gabe and Guido talk about the mezcal mess and Guido tells him he has nothing to do with it. Gabe wants to call the employees in to the office. Gabe questions the employees about the contaminated mezcal, but one of the employees looks guilty and keeps looking back at Guido. Gabe finally tells them that this will be investigated and his door is open to anyone who wants to discuss anything privately if they know anything.

Later the employee who kept turning around and looking at Guido, goes to talk to him. Guido assures him that no one will find out what really happened.

Later Susana and Pancho discuss children and Pancho asks if Susana would like to have a child with him. You can tell she wasn’t expecting this as she sits down. Susana tells him that she really doesn’t want to have more children. Then she asks him why he doesn’t go out and get a vasectomy! Pancho is very surprised to hear that request. She outlines how he already has a lot of kids and they need to be concerned with ecology and being responsible. So he agrees to the vasectomy.

Polita confronts Audi in the hallway about what his mother did. They fight about doing the correct thing and about his trying to take the baby from her custody.

Gabe and Mássimo are talking and he confesses to Gabe that he has not just one “novia”, but two! One is Imelda and the other Crisanta. But he says he is in love with both—torn between two lovers!

Gabe goes to Daniela and tells her he has to go check on Nonno’s paperwork in the office.

Some time goes by and there is a baby shower for Daniela and the triplets.

At Cklass, Axel tells Susana how much he is learning and Susana is very happy to hear it.

At Gabe’s office, he finds some paperwork that deal with a change in the structure of the business. He wonders if his grandfather knows anything about this. He is interrupted by the one employee, Gil, who Guido was manipulating. He came to tell Gabe what happened and how Guido paid him to add water to the mixture.

At home, Daniela’s water breaks and she goes into labor. She is in so much pain and cannot get to her phone. [Hey, I thought she wasn’t supposed to be left alone.] Hermoso barks at the door trying to get someone’s attention while Daniela stumbles around in pain trying to get to her phone.

Gabe confronts Guido and they get into a fight. Guido starts to admit that he did it and he’s proud of it because he deserves it all because of the way his parents treated him. He was the sick and weak one and now he is coming for what he thinks he deserves.  Gabe explains that his life too has been complicated, especially with his father. Guido says that his parents were going to leave him to die so what he has it’s because he has fought for it. Guido yells at Gabe and tells him he is not going to let him take from what he rightfully should have.

This show jumped around a lot, I suspect it was another cut and paste of two different episodes.

Yes, unfortunately, it was another combo plate of two capítulos, very jumpy and not done very well. Anyway, your most excellent recap made sense of it all and I thank you for it!

That being said, was good seeing more of the comic relief left in and less of the dramatic dialogues. Poor Susana and Pancho could not get a moment alone. They thought they had it made until Crisanta and crew started knocking. That alone should have been reason enough for Pancho to want a vasectomy. The sour candy incident was a hoot, too. I loved Pancho getting the crowd into having the policeman taste it. Then there was good old Nonno who has no self control when it comes to the ladies.

No surprise Audifaz was still the deadbeat dad he had been for a while. I wanted to slap Imelda’s hand when she had the nerve to put it out for the rent. What a witch! Gabriel looking all blotchy and sweaty was not a hopeful sight but at least he told Guido off the best he could when he discovered the truth. How long until Dani gets to her phone to get some help? Let us hope they do not butcher tonight’s action too badly.

We are actually above freezing this a.m. but the temps will be dropping all day. A little rain, a little ice and a dusting of snow by the evening. Not too bad.

This was exceptional Cynthia, thank you.

"Mind you, she is fully clothed and it doesn’t look like anything real ‘lovin’ happened either" had me smiling away.

"Tavo is crushed as Catalina says she wants to discard any idea of marriage" and Susana saying she doesn't want more children were a bit of a role reversal but I appreciate these women standing up for themselves. I did feel for Tavo though as it's understandable he would wish to marry as he found the woman he loves. I suspect Cat may change her mind as Tavo's disappointment was clear and transparent.

Imelda going to Polita's was just cringeworthy. A monster.

I also found Susana and Pancho endearing although I think the pot was simmering and hadn't yet come to a boil! :)

I liked that Gabe noticed right away that the mezcal was off. I missed the last few minutes but am thrilled Gabe now knows Guido is off balance. But will he put two and two together in terms of how he is feeling? You may realize someone is trying to cheat you but to actually kill you is another matter entirely.

"Deadbeat dad" is perfect for Audi Jarifa. I am not getting any whiff of redemption for him.

I would like Guido to be unmasked so more happy stories can be front and center. Where the heck is Gabe???

Looking forward to Blanca and Dave's return and of course to Dani's successful delivery of her triplets.

Thank you so much Cynthia.

Diana

Good grief! Sounds like it was another hot mess of a slice and dice episode, but you made perfect sense of it Cynthia. Thanks also for the screen caps. I agree with Andy, Osorio needs to call in some Korean writers to get this train back on track.

Thanks for all you and Jarifa do to keep the patio warm and humming away.

Diana, loved your "pot was simmering but hadn't yet come to a boil".

Judy: I noticed Dani is giving birth & nobody has come to her aid yet ?

Diana: Not shocked Guido told Gabe to his face about his evilness & deadlier plots against Gabe & Dani.

Jarifa: Is anybody going to stop Guido from adding to the Body Count ?

Thanks, Cynthia, for putting the puzzle pieces together for us.I fell asleep on the sofa and missed everything. This show is becoming a tangled web. Is Gabe Soto really going to show up? It feels to me as though the show has already jumped the shark with the two new weird characters who just popped up out of nowhere. And that was the speediest pregnancy ever.

I watch this on demand so am only on episode 68 but the recaps and comments are a great help. I have trouble understanding everything that is said in Spanish so the recaps fill me in. Thank you.

Thanks, Cynthia.

I'm annoyed at the trauma the script is putting Dani through. We know Dani would've had a phone by her side at all times at this stage.

Susanna's hair was kind of mussed, so as Diana well said at least "the pot was simmering." I should've known better, but I'm shocked that Pancho wanted yet another kid. Three cheers for him readily agreeing with Susanna's request for a vasectomy. That's sure to be funny.

Sorry for any cuts to the comic stuff, but my interest in the show just shot upward with Gabe unmasking Guido. Not only is Guido psycho, he's plumb stupid for watering down the mezcal. That would lead to the whole company collapsing. Interesting that Gabe pointed out he too had issues with his own father and that his mom died young. Too bad Gabe doesn't realize Guido (probably) had a hand in his (Guido's) parents' death.

Niecie: I noticed that Susana Gonzalez's hair is a bit weird, but I guess she likes it.

Thank you, Cynthia, for another excellent recap. It must be getting harder for you and Jarifa to recap these episodes with all the cuts.

Despite everything, this was an enjoyable capítulo. Pancho and Susana were a hoot.

Mássimo/Nonno is plain crazy for wanting to date these two women, especially Imelda. Imelda did shock me a bit though. In the earlier scene where they had their first kiss she actually hoisted herself up a bit to kiss Mássimo over the table. Still, he would be much better off with Crisanta, who is feisty but not bitter and judgmental as is Imelda.

And what is it with Mássimo anyway? Does he do this everywhere he goes or is the Oaxacan air an aphrodisiac for him?

I had to cheer for Gabriel, the way he found the problem with the mezcal and confronted crazy Guido. But I didn't like that Guido kept getting closer to Gaby, who kept backing up a bit. He is sick and in poor physical shape at this point, but lets hope it doesn't get to that.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Has anyone noticed that Guido is dressed like Pinocchio? His nose should grow every time he lies and deceives people.

But at least Pinocchio had good intentions and just made mistakes. Guido is just plain evil and is driven by pure selfishness and anger.

Interesting observation about Guido’s Pinocchio like outfits, Cynthia.

Thank you for your recap, Cynthia. I don't have much to add beyond what has already been said.

Pancho's makeover was not too extreme and I see it did it carry over into this episode.

Dani should be a lot bigger for someone carrying triplets, even if they arrive a month early. There was a young woman in our neighborhood who had triplets and she was HUGE.

Doris, I agree Daniela should be lots bigger for someone who is supposed to be carrying triplets.
