Betty

I hope the person who wrote the very interesting posting about YSBLF (Yo Soy Betty La Fea) will let us know who s/he is and will in the future sign her/his name at the end of all postings.

betty

Juanita, I agree. I'm OK with Anonymous postings but really enjoy having a name or nickname at the end. As we spend time on the blog, we enjoy that person's particular sense of humor or way of expressing themselves.

OT
Novelera--They've moved Por Amar Sin Ley up to start March 12th now. I'm not sure which time slot it's going into, but it was at 10 on the first run.

Do you get UniMas? Kirby mentioned three you might want to check out. …"Right now there are three Kick---Ass shows on UniMas at 8, 9, and 10 Eastern time: Tres Milagros, Atrapada and Rosario Tijeras Dos."

OT

Thanks, Anita. I do get UniMas and I'll take a peek at these shows. However, I SO prefer starting a novela from the first episode.

Betty

I've been watching this, haven't seen any other versions, but yes we all know where plot is going, and there are a number of annoying subplots, we really didn't need Betty to be a co-conspirator and cook-the-books but then her hard drive is on the loose, ha!, so it hasn't happened yet.

and the characters are so over the top but they do it so well and with a straight face, I love characters like Patetico Patricia, who bungles everything.

and what I really like are the one-liners, maybe it's just the way it shakes out in the English caps, in the first episode when sitting Hugo told standing Naomi to get her flirtation uterus out of his face, I just about fell out of my chair.

and Betty with Nico, no holds barred in their quiet banter, like when she gave him up as her possible amor to the squad, then tried to rush him away, he accused her of hiding him because he was ugly, she came back with if that was the case, they both need to hide, ha!

the conversations are priceless, like when Patricia was coming on to David, while trying to snitch some food off his dinner plate, and he says they have nothing in common but sex, and after they do it the only thing they would have in common is when they would do it next, is done with his dinner and passes her the plate.

there are some clever things going on here, but it's subtle.
