DAYTIME TNs (#2): Week of March 25, 2019

Welcome to page 2 for the week! Some of the current daytime telenovelas are as follows (all times are Eastern Standard Time):
  • 2-3PM – Tenías Que Ser Tú: Ep. 52-53
  • 3-4PM – Sin Tu Mirada: Ep. 8-9 (Join the TN Bingo for this TN!)
Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Since discussions of all the daytime novelas (not just the ones listed above) share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for. (You can shorten the title to one word, i.e., “Mirada”)

By common agreement, this group DOES NOT DISCUSS previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production.  Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin.  This includes references to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel.  Thanks for your cooperation!

Comments:
I was going to post this on the previous page, but figured very few would see it.

In regards to the mama/Ramona question, I went back and watched the recording with the cc’s on. When Isauro referred to Ramona, the cc’s indicate that he said “No, mama ,” but in reality he said “Ramona.” Sometimes when actors speak in a low soft voice, the translator picks up what it “thinks” was said...thus the confusion. So Ramona is not his mother....whew! But he still treats her horribly...she should high tail it out of there before he really hurts her.

Mirada

Thanks, Rgv. So I'm busted for having the Spanish subtitles on while watching novelas!

I thought he said "Yo Mama", which loosely translates to 'Spank Me', doesn't it? But nothing happened and I turned on the news.

Hello Caraymates!

Mirada is moving along swiftly, how I wish we were at par for better conversations... today's episode was...whew! Actually shed a tear... 😓

novelera, by no means are you busted :-) 99.999% of the subtitles are accurate. I use them too when I have a hard time understanding what the actors are saying, especially when they speak a hundred miles a minute or they whisper.

Hey, Anon. I've never heard that "Yo mama" loosely translates to "Spank me" but that doesn't mean it isn't so (shrug)

Brian, nice to see you back. Looking forward to your conversations when we catch up.

Ep 8: Part 1 Marina Just Might Meet the Devil...Again

Marina calls out Beto’s name. Vanesa interrupts and tells Marina that she knows exactly who she is—she is the girl that has captivated Beto’s interest because she is so independent despite her blindness. After Beto asks Vanesa to leave them alone, Vanesa gives him a loud, smacking kiss and walks off to a distance, but still tries to eavesdrop. Marina chides Beto for have misled her and asks him why he lied to her.

Doc Isauro is still talking to Damiana at her house. He wonders if she hasn’t noticed how excited Marina gets when she speaks of Beto. Damiana thinks that maybe fate is seeking justice. Doc doesn’t understand what she means and demands that she forbid Marina from seeing Beto. When Damiana finally agrees, Isauro leaves and Damiana suspects that he is in love with Marina (well, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out, Dumbiana!)

Beto explains to Marina that he didn’t mean to mislead her or have her get her hopes up. Marina reminds him that he kissed her and questions if he only did it out of pity. She thought he felt the same as she did. Beto tries to explain that the kiss just happened and apologizes to Marina. After Marina retorts that she never wants to hear him again or cry for him, she walks off.

At the ranch, El Don reproaches Margarito because Beto supposedly fell in a ditch. When Margarito shares that Lino also made up some story to explain his bruises, they both suspect that the two young men had a fight. Meanwhile, inside the house, Angustias tells Pru about Beto’s bruises; she thinks he got into a fight. Pru doesn’t believe it because Beto would never get into a physical fight. Damiana points out that he might if it was because of a woman.

Later, El Don and Pru talk about Beto’s incident. El Don threatens that if he finds out Lino hit his son, he will run Margarito off along with his brood. Pru reminds El Don that Margarito and his family have been there for several years, but El Don thinks that the servants are there to serve and be appreciative…that’s it! If he finds out Lino hit his son, they will end up in the street…like dogs.

Out on the grounds, Lino catches up to Marina and tells her that he already put Beto in his place. Marina chides him and tells him that was not for him to do; she doesn’t want him getting into trouble because of her. When Marina starts crying because Beto was just making a fool of her, she adds that she know Lino always protects and defends her. Lino tells her that he loves her as his sister

El Don is calmer now as he talks to Pru. He knows that Beto is distracted because of the blind girl, He knows that she is just using her blindness to try to get to Beto and manipulate him. Pru speaks up for Marina and points out that El Don can’t be sure that Marina has bad intentions.

Marina gets home crying. Damiana knows it’s because of Beto; and Marina admits that it is. She tells Damiana that Beto has a girlfriend. After she cries that Beto made her feel so many beautiful things, Marina tells Damiana of her encounter with El Don and then he ran her off his land. Her little heart is hurting.

Susana, Pru and El Don are conversing. As Susana wonders why Beto would be fighting with Lino, Beto and Vanesa return from their walk and tell them of their encounter with Marina. When Vanesa mocks Marina, Beto gets upset; so El Don asks to talk to him alone. Once alone, El Don insists on the truth, so Beto admits that he and Lino fought, but it wasn’t Lino’s fault…Beto thinks he deserved it since he offended Marina. After El Don growls that he is going to run off Margarito and his family, he insists on knowing how Beto offended MArina because the only good reason would be if he touched her after lifting her skirt. Beto explains that it was only a kiss; so El Don advises him that he not tell Vanesa about it. Beto urges his father not to run the family off.

MIRADA (and so was Part 1 above :-)

Ep 8: Part 2 Marina Just Might Meet the Devil...Again

At Damiana’s house, Damiana gives Marina the earrings and tells her that she wants her to wear them everywhere and all the time; she wants everyone to see them. When Marina wonders why, Damiana replies that they belonged to her mother and that they will help her find her destiny.

At Margarito’s house, Yola cries because she doesn’t want to leave that house in which she was born and their mother died. Margarito comes in and tells them that they won’t have to leave after all. He urges Lino to apologize to Beto even though he wasn’t at fault. He adds that it was because of Beto’s insistence that El Don allowed them to stay.

In the house, Vanesa is pissed because Lino, the peon, is not being run off. She demands to know why they fought, but Beto has had it with her (don’t blame him!) and walks off.

Damiana and Marina go to the doctor’s place, Marina wonders why they entered through the office; so Damiana explains that she needs to talk to the Doc. Once alone with the Doc, Damiana confronts him about being in love with Marina, but he denies it. All he wants is Marina’s well-being.

Susana and Vanesa talk about Beto’s fight with Lino. Susana wonders if it could have been because of a woman.

Marina is now talking to Doc and crying about Beto who has a girlfriend. Doc was trying to avoid her being hurt. When she cries and pulls back her hair, Doc sees the earrings; so Doc asks about them. Marina tells him that they belonged to his bio mom and explains that Damiana is not her bio mom. Doc then wonders how Marina ended up with blue eyes if her parents were farmers from that area. Marina replies that Damiana thinks she looks like her grandparents..

Tori is at the cemetery looking for the grave Angustias asked about since she promised him candy if he found it. Damiana arrives to talk to Baldo and tells him about Marina. Baldo shares that he had warned Marina about being hurt. Damiana worries since Beto was the first one to kiss Marina and tell her nice things. Baldo then tells Damiana about how insistent Angustias is about finding a grave.

Beto is at his laptop when Vanesa comes and asks if he is going to tell her the truth about his fight…over a woman. When Beto wonders if his father told her about it, Vanesa thinks that he and Lino fought over her. Beto questions why he should be fighting Lino over her; so Vanesa tells him that Lino has been rude to her…and she just doesn’t like his attitude.

Later, Beto goes to the stable and sees Lino, When Lino apologizes, Beto tells him that he is the one who should apologize since it was his fault. He knows that he did wrong in kissing Marina; that is why he was trying to keep his distance from her. Lino knows that Marina’s heart will be breaking, but she will eventually understand. Beto then asks about the horse Lino is taming for Vanesa. When Lino tells him that it’s almost ready, Beto responds that he wants Vanesa to mount soon so she can be rid of her fear.

Angustias and Pru are talking in the kitchen about Beto as Susana listens at the door. Pru thinks Angustias is wrong about Beto liking Marina. Just then, Susana hears El Don coming down the stairs and scurries off. As Angustias tells Pru that Beto’s face lights up whenever he talks about Marina, El Don overhears and comes in. He warns them that if Marina keeps looking for Beto, then “Boo! The devil will appear to her.”

RGV Chik Sorry, I got Yo Mama and Vanessa mixed up. My bad.

Anon, those two can very easily be mixed up! LOL

Good recap Rgv.

"El Don thinks that the servants are there to serve and to be appreciative ...that's it". Well ain't he an intitled peice of sh**. Iam so going to love seeing this male bitch brought
Down. He deserves something worst than
An anvile. And I hope he gets it. Beto
Is nothing like him. But he is allowin himself to be led around by to many people. That's cause he don't see all the playing Field yet. He and marina got some growing to do.

I didn't think Ramona was the mask's mother. But she does know him well enough to call him out on his hateful deception. He's kinda insane with it.
She better be careful.

I wish I had closed caption. For some reason we don't have it anymore. I don't know if it's because of comcast or univision. Anyway thank goodness recaps. Telemundo has it but not so with uni.

Thank Ms Chick♡

Thanks Rgv Chick. I always find these interludes when the poor heroine (or hero) is disillusioned, humiliated and heartbroken to be extremely painful. Even though I KNOW there's an eventual happy ending, I suffer right along with the suffering characters, even though my wiser mind says "it's just a story, just a story!" Also I shudder to think what will happen when Don Louse sees Marina with the earrings and accuses her of stealing them [not a spoiler, that's just what I THINK will happen...and my track record is as poor as my friend Doris']

Anyway, thanks for giving us a virtual family room to enjoy this telenovela. It is the only one that truly interests me for the moment.

Thank you for your recap, Rgv Chick. I did not get to watch this until this morning. Grandma had babysitting duty again yesterday. :-)

WHY on earth
did Damiana give those earrings to Marina? She knows they will be seen and recognized. She knows this cannot end well. She knows this is throwing Augustias under the bus, and Angustias will surely end up . . . angustiada. What is Damiana's motive and her end game?

I have no Crockpot Theory© on this, except that Damiana will let the earrings "suelta la sopa" and the mierda will hit the fan. And her own skin will need saving.

Can you imagine what Don Louse will do when he sees her wearing those?

Andy - your beanie comment cracked me up.

Susanlynn - the telenovela beanie hats sold at "Meta Mart" come with chin straps. They can be shipped overnight. ;-)

JudyB, ""it's just a story, just a story!" doesn't work for me either. I have my box of tissue right beside my couch. And on the flip side of the coin, my TV is always in danger of being hit with a shoe or anything that I can grab, especially when Don Louse opens his crappy mouth...it's more like one of those air pistols gone haywire and shoots nails at random.

Doris, "Don Louse" LUV IT! now I have a good name for him, thanks! As for "Damiana will let the earrings "suelta la sopa" and the mierda will hit the fan" I think Dumbiana was very impulsive and gave those earrings to Marina out of pure spite since Marina told her about Don Louse humiliating her. The mierda hitting the fan that is exactly what Dumbiana is expecting..problem is that much of that mierda is going to also hit Marina.

Off Topic - Jane the Virgin

The new (and final) season began this week. Is anyone else watching? Rogelio (Jaime Camil) was a total hoot in this week's chapter #82. The whole episode was great and required a telenovela beanie hat. Wheee!

Thanks so much, Rgv Chick. Terrific recap!

So the telenovela staple is alive and well in this episode; i.e., major eavesdropping to move the plot along, with Susana and Vanessa doing the most of it. Is there an "Eavesdropping helps people learn things" bingo square?"

Whew! Paulino is not interested in Marina romantically. The writers finally had him say he thought of her as a sister. This, of course, opens the door for the future fireworks with Vanessa.

Yes, Damiana giving Marina the earrings is illogical. If she's angry about Don Louse (love that, doris!) dissing his own daughter, the logical thing would be to go to Prudencia and fess up so Cinderella gets to perhaps live in the castle.

I cringe every time Isauro is on camera. Obsessive love is nothing new to veteran watchers of TNs, of course. But his highhanded assumption that he can snoop into where Damiana gets her money and having Ramona spy on her just sets my teeth on edge.

There's a lot of "classism" in this novela that Telemundo novelas appear to have less of. Isauro is a doctor and Damiana is sort of a curandera/partera so he feels entitled to interfere in how she earns money.

And Don Louse, of course, is the poster boy for "classism".

Don Louse is the poster boy for elitism, too.

JudyB, it's about time they let us know that Lino only loves Marina as a sister. So now we can wonder how long it will be before Lino and Vanesa share a lip lock...it’s bound to happen. I wanted to laugh when Vanesa thought Lino and Beto were fighting for her...how presumptuous!

Don Louse is not only a poster boy for classism, he’s also a poster boy for male chauvinist pig...the biggest kind.

What puzzles me is how Pru is so convinced that Beto loves Vanesa. Does she hve her head stuck in the sand? But then she also hasn’t seen through Susana; so that doesn’t say much for her intuition.

Rgv Chick, thanks for jogging my memory about Don Louse being a chauvinist pig. His disgusting little "don't let the right hand know what the left hand is doing" demonstration that was meant to give his son the green light for affairs on the side was received with appropriate disdain by his son. Gah!

Yes, Rgv Chick nailed it with male chauvinist pig!
novelera - that left hand/right hand thing is our clue that Don Louse will likely strike up a congress with Susana, at some point, with no remorse.

MIRADA
Ep 9: Part 1 – Close Encounters

After Don Louse warns Pru and Angustias that Marina just might see the devil if she doesn’t stay away, he kisses Pru and asks Angustias if there was any dessert left over. (Eewww, talk about torture!)

In their bedroom, Su warns Vanesa to be astute and keep her eyes on Beto, but Vanesa doesn’t think she has anything to worry about since Marina is just a simple girl. Su insists that Vanesa speed up the wedding plans.

Marina arrives home still in tears. She tells Damiana that Doc Mask tried to distract her so she wouldn’t think about Beto, but she has Beto’s voice engrained in her head...and she can’t forget the feel of his lips when he kissed her. When Marina suggests that they move to the city so that she won’t run into Beto, Damiana reminds her that the Ocaranza family is there for only a short time; they should be leaving soon.

At the corral, Lino is working with the mare when Beto and Vanesa approach. Beto wants Vanesa to get on the horse already. Once on, Lino is guiding the horse as he and Vanesa talk. Vanesa tries to get Lino to spill the beans about the fight with Beto, but Lino tells her that she has treated him like dirt ever since she got there; so he had to take it out on her boyfriend. Just then the horse bucks and Vanesa gets all scared. Beto gets pissed and tells Lino to find an older, calmer mare for Vanesa.

Marina goes out walking and meets up with Tori who sees that she is still crying. She gives him the same spiel about how she can’t forget Beto’s voice. Tori then notices the earrings; so Marina explains that her mother wants her to wear them. She really doesn’t understand why…she only wanted to wear them to Beto’s party so she could look pretty.

As Vanesa and Beto walk away from the stables, Vanesa complains about Lino not training the horse well. Beto retorts that Lino can’t predict what a horse will do. Vanesa whines some more about having to learn to ride.

Later, Beto is in his room thinking about his dance with Marina and the smell of her hair when Su comes in to remind him that Vanesa’s birthday is coming up. Beto hasn’t forgotten and isn’t sure what he will do for or give Vanesa. Su suggests that he give Vanesa an engagement ring; she even shows him a picture of the ring Vanesa wants. Beto (being puddy in Su’s hands and having no backbone) goes along with it and agrees to propose to Vanesa on her birthday.

Outside, Lino lets Vanesa know that he is no fool; he saw how she dug her heels into the horse and wonders why she would do that and hurt the horse. He asks if she did it just to bother him.

Yola goes to visit Marina and tells Marina that Beto came to Lino’s defense so Don Louse wouldn’t run him off. When Yola continues to talk about Vanesa, Damiana not so subtly tells her to change the subject. Yola then asks about the earrings.

At the ranch, Beto tells his parents that he is going to ask Vanesa to marry him. Pru thinks he shouldn’t rush into the wedding since it will take time to plan the wedding that Vanesa and Su want. Beto argues that it shouldn’t take that much time or money, but Don Louse insists that money is not a problem. When Beto informs them that he will going back to the city to take care of some business at the university and will take advantage of the trip to buy Vanesa’s engagement ring, Don Louse asks him to bring back Pru’s earrings. After Pru tells Beto not to worry about the earrings because she doesn’t remember where she put them away, Don Louse responds that she’d better remember soon and laughs wickedly.

MIRADA
Ep 9: Part 2 – Close Encounters

At Damiana’s house, Marina tells Yola that the earrings belonged to her bio mom. Yola apologizes for not having told Marina about her history, but her father made them promise not to mention anything to her. Before Yola leaves, Marian returns the dress and shoes. Yola thinks Marina is returning them because they bring Marina bad memories, but Marina assures her that dancing with Beto is not a bad memory. Marina then worries that Don Louse will find out where she lives and will run her off; so Yola assures her that he will not find out from them. Marina hopes Beto and his family go back to the city soon.

Doc Mask and Ramona talk. Ramona doesn’t think Damiana will want to move to the city especially now that she suspects that Doc Mask is in love with Marina. Doc Mask realizes that Ramona was eavesdropping and calls her a “metiche” (busybody). Ramona admits that she did overhear the conversation and adds that Damiana probably made up a story about the earrings to keep Marina from wanting to move. When Ramona suggests that Doc Mask find another path…and another woman who will love him, Doc Mask growls that there is no other woman for him except Marina and tells Ramona to go do her chores. After she leaves, Ramona watches Doc Mask from the door (hmmm, does Ramona want to be the “other woman?”)

At the ranch, Angustias wonders what excuse Pru will give Don Louse when Beto doesn’t return with the earrings. Pru doesn’t know.

At the cemetery, Tori finds Eulalia’s grave and asks Baldo about her baby’s grave. When Baldo replies that the baby was buried with Eulalia, Tori is excited that he found the grave that Angustias was looking for. Baldo talks Tori into not saying anything to anyone about the grave by promising to buy him candy.

Su and Vanesa are walking in town. Vanesa wants to go back to Mexico City with Beto, but Su suggests that she stay there since Beto will be busy at the university. When Su adds that Beto may be planning something special for her birthday, Vanesa agrees to stay, but wants to have a rustic party and invite all her friends. Su warns that she has to get Don Louse’s permission, but Vanesa doesn’t worry about that since Don Louse loves her so much! As they walk away, Ramona, who has overheard their conversation, watches them then runs to Doc Mask with the info.

Baldo is at the cemetery looking at his record book and puts two and two together since Eulalia’s death was on the date that Angustias gave him.

Don Louse and Margarito are talking business in his office. He wants Lino to include Beto in discussions about planting of the new trees. When Margarito replies that he will make sure Lino gets together with Beto, Lino approaches as Don Louse informs Margarito that Beto left to the city to buy an engagement ring. Lino tells Don Louse that Vanesa hasn’t shown up for her riding lesson; so Don Louse calls Vanesa who is almost ready and will be right out. Before Lino leaves, Don Louse warns him to be careful about what he does…one more mistake and he will be gone.

MIRADA
Ep 9: Part 3 – Close Encounters

Marina is at the Doc’s office helping him with a patient. When the patient leaves, Marina wonders if she can go home because she wants to go light a candle at the church. She wants to ask Santa Lucia to heal her heart, but Doc Mask thinks that the only way to heal her heart is to put distance between her and Beto. After Don Mask adds that he has sent her application to the university, Marina is very happy, but she doesn’t think that will help her forget Beto…because she fell in love with him. Don Mask blows a gasket and tells Marina that she doesn’t know what love is. Marina assures him that she does know what being in love is like because Baldo explained it to her and she feels exactly what he described. Doc Mask hisses that she’s better not dare look for Beto…Beto is engaged. He insists that what Marina feels is not love and that they should leave to the city NOW. Marina argues that she shouldn’t have to leave since Beto should be going back to the city soon…and she did nothing wrong, except to fall in love. Marina thinks her mother is right; she should wait until the earrings decide her destiny.

Baldo goes to visit Damiana. He keeps thinking about Eulalia’s baby and wonders if Damiana is sure that the baby had no relatives. After Damiana assures him that the baby had no relatives, Baldo questions if maybe Angustias might be a relative. Damina insists that there are no relatives and regrets involving Baldo; she worries that they will get in trouble and Baldo might even end up in jail. Baldo suggests that in one way or another, they are going to have to come up with a grave to show Angustias.

Marina is at the church when Angustias and Pru walk in. Angustias tells Pru that Marina is the blind girl, so Pru goes to kneel beside Marina who has her hair loose and covering her ears quite well. Pru offers to help her light a candle. After their hands touch (and the dramatic music plays), Pru tells Marina that she is Beto’s mother.

At the ranch, Vanesa finishes her riding lesson; so Lino instructs her on how to dismount the horse; and, of course, he places his hands on her hips to help her down. When he informs her that the lessons will be on a daily basis, Vanesa makes it clear that she wants to go riding with Beto alone since he will be getting back from the city tomorrow. Lino lets it slip that other than taking her for ride, Beto will probably give her the engagement ring. When he realizes that Vanesa didn’t know, he apologizes. After Vanesa hopes Beto gets the ring she wants, Lino points out that it’s normally the man who picks out the ring, but Vanesa scoffs and reminds herself that she is at a ranch. She then tells Lino that brides should get the most expensive ring the man can get for her. Vanesa assures Lino that she will act surprised when Beto gives her the ring. As she walks away, she purposefully shakes her bootie and Lino salivates as he enjoys it.

Beto calls his dad from the jewelry store. He doesn’t have enough money in his account or enough credit to get Vanesa the ring she wants. When he suggests that he should get something more reasonable, daddy deep-pockets insists that he get Vanesa the ring she wants...he’ll transfer some money to Beto.

Marina excuses herself from Pru since she wants to go pray. Pru offers that they pray together; so Marina accepts. After they pray, Pru apologizes for the way her husband ran her off. Beto has talked much about her so Pru wanted to meet her. After Marina leaves, Pru comments to Angustias that she now understands why Beto is so taken with the young girl.

At the ranch, Don Louse and Susana flirt with each other. She tells him he looks very handsome and he replies that it just comes natural when a woman like her is close by. Vanesa walks in from her riding lesson and goes to her room. Su explains that Vanesa is learning to ride to please Beto.

MIRADA
Ep 9: Part 4 – Close Encounters

At the cemetery, Baldo is covering Felimon’s and Eulalia’s graves with leaves hoping that people will think that no one has visited the graves in years. Doc Mask arrives and demands that Baldo stop putting stupid ideas into Marina’s head. Baldo has no idea what Doc is talking about; so Doc adds that Baldo talked to Marina about love and planted a bad seed in her. Baldo doesn’t think love is a bad seed; it’s the most beautiful feeling. Doc refuses to talk to Baldo about that topic and calls him stupid. When Baldo gets upset and reproaches him for insulting him and for treating Marina as if he owned her. Doc reminds him that he saved Marina’s life. Baldo now realizes that Doc thinks that Marina belongs to him. Doc emphasizes that Baldo has been warmed.

At the ranch, Don Louse brings up the fiesta of Santa Lucia. Pru thinks they should leave right after the fiesta since they have nothing else to do at the ranch. When Vanesa interjects that she would like to have her party there, Don Louse sides with her and tells them they will stay and have her birthday party there…and he has spoken! Just then, Don Louse hears someone singing. Vanesa tells him it’s just a rancher who think he’s Maluma Baby. After she excuses herself and goes to her bedroom, Vanessa watches Lino sing from her window and smiles.

OOPS! re: Baldo--he hasn't been warmed, he has been warNed!

"... daddy deep-pockets insists that he get Vanesa the ring she wants...he’ll transfer some money to Beto."

Love Daddy Deep-pockets, RGV Chick. Almost as much as Don Louse.

And had to look up Maluma Baby but I can certainly see why "Va-necia" compared Lino to him. Evidently our little Vanessa will have to do a lot of "evolving" to see that she will be happier with the poor but honest Lino, rather than the rich but disinterested Beto. That will be fun to watch. If Carlos were still around he would be valiently defending Vanessa to all the critics I'm sure.

Loved the tender meeting of Marina and Pru in the church and of course kept hoping that Marina would sweep her hair back, but no luck there. And are we supposed to suspect a hidden love in Baldo's heart for Damiana? I keep getting that vibe.

Well, we'll have to "let things unfold" as Susanlynn's dear husband used to say. Thanks again Rgv Chick.

Thank you for your recap, Rgv Chick!

I love "Don Mask"!

" (hmmm, does Ramona want to be the “other woman?”) " OMG I had the same thought. And with her hair, she reminds me of the bakery employee in Moonstruck scene, who was in love with Nicholas Cage's character.

Well, I was hoping for a "llamada de la sangre" in that church scene, and we got .... nothing.

Ah yes, the bakery employee in Moonstruck! I loved everything about her...her reddish nose and pinched pale face. No match for our our babe, especially after the makeover. That movie was absolute perfection.

No need for two "ours" but whatever...

Thanks, JudyB and Doris.

JudyB, "...are we supposed to suspect a hidden love in Baldo's heart for Damiana? I keep getting that vibe." I got that vibe too! At first, I thought Baldo was going to go after Angustias since he made it a point to compliment her on her kindness (when they first met, now that she insulted him, well...EQUIS!) The first time with Damiana was when he was telling her about warning Marina that love can hurt. He said something to the effect that he knew from experience. And now when Damiana reached out and touched his hand, then slowly withdrew it, I sensed some tension. I wonder if he has ever been married?? Must see TV!!

Doris, I must give credit for Doc Mask to Nina. She referred to him like that in one of her comments. It takes a village to come up with some of these nicknames :-)

Rest recap Rev.

Don Luis has given..beto(I don't want to say His son)the go-ahead
to cheat. Which makes me think hehimself has been cheating down through the martial years. May
Even have a seed here are there somewhere. I really hope not, unless they are as nice as marina. Otherwise We don't need no more of his droppings dirty ing up the place.
I can understand damit being so pissed at Don dummy dissing his
Daughter just cuz she's a girl,
Jackass that he is, but she'll get burned to. Which don't need to happen. That e girl is Having a boat load of problems as it is with "ye Ol mask" sniffin after
Her in his sick twisted way. Or
Maybe she just wanted her to have something from her bio mom.
We will In The coming spring and
Summer months. Hopefully one summer month.

Thanks for the recap Rgv. Rather funny
One too.

I do not think that ramona wants to be the woman. Now if she was on lifeTime
Network, yeah, she'd have to push marina Down some stairs or trip her up. Yall Know, weird stuff like. Then she'd have to be As nutty as doc mask.

I wonder if pru would have gotten up
Set had she seen those earrings on her
Daughter? I don't think so.

"Daddy deep pockets" good one. Money
Is no problem. What is it with these earrings? Do they have a microchip on them? Since he got deep pockets why don't he have another pair made? Hmmm
The earring mystery continues.

Lino wants to get in van's pants.Tred
Lightly lino. Is she worth the trouble you're about to get into?

Baldo Havin the hots for damiana? Well
Stranger things have happened. She needs to be tryin to protect marina from doctor crazymask. Cuz lino's busy watchin van's butt as she walk's away. Hah!lol.
