Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Capítulo 126, Thursday, March 14, 2019; Starting over and Big Surprises

We begin with Daniela confronting Guido about the fact that every time Gabriel got sick before he died, it was right after Guido cooked them a meal. Of course Guido acts totally innocent and tells her that all his ingredients were “natural” so it couldn’t have been that. [Guido, we all here know that arsenic is “natural” too.] Daniela starts to cry and says she needs to find out the answers concerning Gabriel’s death. Then Guido hugs her and tells Daniela he is there to listen to her and to support her.

Guido’s phone rings and its’ Yolo, so he disconnects on her.

Susana and Pancho get ready for bed and Susana relates about Sebas and that he is hiding something from her. She fears she is not a good mother because Sebas isn’t sharing what is wrong. Pancho says they are a great team, “Corsega-Lopez”.

The next morning Neto comes over early to Blanca and Eugenio’s place with an invitation for Eugenio to go to breakfast with him. Neto also says he would love to have breakfast with his sisters and Juan Pablo at another time. So Eugenio and Neto leave. Then Blanca asks Daniela about what happened with Guido. Daniela said she has no answers, only more doubts. Daniela also says she is trying so hard to understand what happened and why Gabriel is gone and even his picture is gone. Blanca goes to hug her telling her that grief is very hard to understand.

At Cklass the next day Susana introduces a new plan to be more casual there so they can connect with one another more easily. They discuss the upcoming “Flor de Oaxaca” and Axel takes notes. After everyone leaves Susana’s office, Pancho tells her he has his appointment to have his vasectomy. Susana urges him not to worry, he will still be the same fine man that she loves!

At Catalina’s house, Hugo and Tavo are furiously whisking their eggs, discussing the fine points of the better scrambled eggs. But Tavo changes the subject to love and does Hugo still love Diana in spite of what she has done. There is no use in living with resentment and suffering. Tavo tells Hugo he knows Hugo still loves Diana. Hugo says that his life feels just like that scrambled egg.

Audi seeks help from one of the church ladies. The church lady tells him to fight for his family and his love for his wife. She also tells him that he has to accept his son.

Polita, meanwhile, is with her lawyer Eduardo. He declares his love for her and she is shocked. Eduardo says she doesn’t have to say anything; that what he feels is very strong and he really felt led to confess this to her. Polita says, “I don’t know what to say.” Eduardo says, “Well first off you can stop calling me licenciado and call me Eduardo instead.” She tells him the same, to call her Polita. He tells her all the good qualities he has seen in her and how much she means to him. Polita tells him she does not know what to say. So he says, “You don’t need to say anything. It’s me who needs to control my feelings.”

Guido calls Yolo at school and she answers to tell him he is rude for not answering her call yesterday. He apologizes and says he was in the middle of work. He tells her he has the perfect thing to repay her with. At the same time, Yolo’s mother walks in accompanied by one of the employees. Before he hangs up, he tells her that what he has for her will make her very happy. He hangs up and says to Ariana, “Welcome, Beautiful.”

Guido tells her there is no time to waste. He children’s feelings are in play. She tells him she wants to see her three children as soon as possible. But Guido tells her “no” as he needs to prepare the way first so that they do not reject her. She wants to know how she can find Neto.

Eugenio and Neto walk along in the park. Eugenio recounts how strict his mother was and talks about how if they misbehaved, she would cut their hair. Eugenio asks Neto what were some of his favorite things growing up. Neto says he remembers really loving things with lemon flavor. Then Eugenio says that that was Audifáz’s favorite too. It made him think he could have been Audi’s child too. “What?” says Neto. “You mean that there was a possibility that Audi could have been my father too?” Eugenio didn’t remember that he hadn’t said this previously and admits that both he and Audi loved Yolotl. Eugenio explains the past and that they need to put all that aside regarding Audi and Imelda and remember that they are father and son.

At school, Yolo approaches Ari and Temo. She tells them that now that she found out Ari is her uncle she wants to be friends. She also wants to be friends with Temo too. They all shake hands and say, “Let’s start over.”

In the classroom where Sebas is, all the kids are wanting to know where the smell is coming from. The smell is horrible. Grecia walks in and wonders what it is and she thinks it might be spoiled food. Sebas raises his hand crying and admits it’s him that smells bad. Grecia takes him to the office where she and Hugo talk to him about growing up and about how your smells change when you become an adolescent. Susana comes running in and Hugo tells her they will leave her alone with Sebas. She promises Sebas to take him to a specialist and they will solve his problem and take care of his shoes. She also promises that he can come to her with any problem and they will find a solution together.

Outside Felix is stalking Grecia at the school.

The Rey twins and Frida decide to ask their teacher if they can work on their project as a team. But you can tell they are still smitten with her even though they are cousins.

Polita runs into Blanca’s kitchen as she is trying to broadcast a cooking video. So Blanca tells her viewers she will return later as Polita says it is very important. She asks Blanca what she would do if a handsome and generous gentleman declared his love for you. Blanca is happy for her and at this time, Linda walks in from her trip to Africa and wants to know the details of this love.

In the high school class, Temo and Ari text each other without Hugo knowing. Then Yolo receives a text from Guido and she tried to text back but teacher Hugo catches her and confiscates her phone from her because these are the rules. After class, Ari and Temo tell Yolo they are sorry she got caught with her phone and thanked her for not telling on them too. Then Polita arrives. She asks Ari if it would bother him if she came to the same school. Ari says, “Of course not. I was just surprised. I’m glad you are going to come to school here.” The three of them share a hug together.

Grecia and Susana walk together and Grecia tells Susana the good news that she and Neto are now “novios” officially! Susana is very happy for Grecia and tells her, “Well it’s about time you found another opportunity for love.” Grecia says, “Well your love with Pancho inspires me.”

Daniela shows Neto and Mássimo some drawings she did to represent the new line of mescal they are planning to make. She thinks it should honor Gabriel and Canuto and all who have gone to heaven. Neto says that his mother’s name was Yolotl and it represents your heart. Daniela says “mescal your heart is very beautiful.” Even Mássimo agrees. Then one of the house employees walks in and says someone is here to see Neto. And in walks his ex-wife, Ariana!

Keeping it brief again as I have house guests this weekend who arrived today. Enjoy and feel free to discuss any details I may have missed.

Cynthia, thank you for another fine recap. I hope you are feeling better now and the house guests won't wear you down.

So Audifaz does have competition. I don't know who to root for because she and Audi were together a long time and he is the father of their two kids... and he seems to be on the road to repentance. But if she marries Eduardo and finishes school, wow!, she could stop visiting Blanca with her collection of Tupperware.

I think Sebas's foot odor problem is being exaggerated, but OK.

And people are not keeping a close eye on Grecia even though they should be.

andy

Excellent title Cynthia.

Short but very, very sweet. You captured everything and lovely nuggets including
"[Guido, we all here know that arsenic is “natural” too]" were most excellent!

Also especially savored "At Catalina’s house, Hugo and Tavo are furiously whisking their eggs, discussing the fine points of the better scrambled eggs". Perfect.

Cynthia, I was so frustrated Guido seems to have successfully weaseled out of yet another accusation. Is he still having sessions with Tavo??

And the writers are teasing us yet again with another similarity between Neto and Audi. Audi doesn't deserve the two sons he has, let alone Neto.

“You don’t need to say anything. It’s me who needs to control my feelings.” Eduardo is a gem. “She asks Blanca what she would do if a handsome and generous gentleman declared his love for you”. Polita, that is a rhetorical question, right?

andy, yes, Audi is the children's father but he is a character far removed from the one we were so fond of in the first installment. Leaving Polita to fend for herself, going along with his vile mother's plan to evict her, trying to take custody of her son and rejecting Ari are more than ample grounds for leaving him. I won't even mention his failure to provide. Ooops, guess I did. Y clever "But if she marries Eduardo and finishes school, wow!, she could stop visiting Blanca with her collection of Tupperware" is but another reason for this couple to get together. I am afraid though she and Audi will reconcile.

I kept waiting for Felix to jump out of the bushes and ambush Grecia and Susana. I'm also worried about her. She can't be left alone. Ack.

Now Neto's ex arrives, just in time to add another wrinkle to the story.

Cynthia, I hope you have a wonderful time with your house guests. With your new job and trying to get ready for your company, your taking the time to do this fantastic recap is greatly appreciated.

Happy Friday all!

Diana

Great recap as usual. Thanks, Cynthia. As Diana mentioned, it is greatly appreciated. Have an enjoyable weekend with your guests!

Nice plot twists with Polita. It is about time something good happened to her. It has also always annoyed me that she had to take the job in Audi’s family’s bakery to support them while Audi is still strutting arounfpd, pontificating and doing nothing. So, Diana, I am going to have to agree with you about Audi. I sure hope Polita and him don’t reconcile but since this is a novela . . . . After all of the cruelty visited upon her, Arqui, and Ari by Audi and his “family” along with his consistent failure to provide for them, Polita needs to keep her eye on her diploma and Eduardo. He is also cute and doesn’t have a greasy ponytail. In the style of Grecia: I thought it and I said it!

Andy, the whole Grecia situation makes me nervous. As you so well mention, it seems like business as usual with nobody taking any special care. I will be happy when that plot is finished. I hope it is soon since I do not want to see Grecia atracked again. The pool attack was way too realistic.

It was so frustrating that Dani wasn’t able to make more of her Guido accusations but she is on the right track and with Carlos and his medical knowledge, who knows what they might discover?

More PSA’s in this episode: It is never too late to get a vasectomy(Pancho), or your GED (Polita); or get rid of your stinky feet (Sebas).

Yay! Linda is back to shake things up in her Linda way. And to think that before Yolo arrived on the scene, I actually thought she was the spoiled brat!

Tonight, we get to find out about Ariana. I cannot wait.

Diana: Teflon Guido will keep killing off the rest of the cast & I don't mind him killing Yolo eventually.

Jarifa: I don't see Grecia being among the living.

Thanks Cynthia. Weekend guests take a lot of preparation so appreciate the recap all the more.

Like Diana, I loved this:

"[Guido, we all here know that arsenic is “natural” too]"

I guess we need a baddie to stir things up and distract us from the endless PSA's but really, Guido is getting on my last nerve. Hope that his nefarious doings are revealed soon.

The lawyer romance is nice, but he seems too young for Polita (whoops but we do have that other romance between Catalina and Tavo) so I'm betting that she and her hopeless ex-husband will reconcile. She certainly does deserve better though in terms of a provider.

On Sebas, it IS a little exaggerated, as Andy noticed, but there is quite a change when children go through puberty. Especially with boys. No matter how often you wash the sheets and do their laundry, there is an aroma that wafts from boys' rooms that is very powerful indeed.

Happy Friday Patio. It's cold and gloomy here today. Yesterday there was sunshine and we got up to 70 degrees, so today is a shock.

Judy: I do NOT see Guido being exposed anytime soon.

OT: JudyB, we were grey and rainy here yesterday and basically the same and about 40 today. At least there is no snow and no tornado watches today. Not time to put away the flannel and wool yet. I ask myself each year why I own a “spring” or “rain” coat. 🤔

Thank you for your recap, Cynthia. I hope you are feeling well enough for your company, as I always find it exhausting while nice at the same time.

Why, oh WHY would Dani confront Guido about the food/poison/Gabe? Now Guido is on notice and may try to do her in ASAP.

With no body to exhume, it will be very difficult to prove how Gabe died. And Guido is not going to confess. My Crockpot Theory ™ is that Guido will be taken down some other way. My guess is it will be Luigi; the guy just gets too much screen time, IMHO.

Poli needs to dump Audi like a bad habit. IOW, do. not. reconcile. with him.
"But if she marries Eduardo and finishes school, wow!, she could stop visiting Blanca with her collection of Tupperware." Well said, andy!

There is probably something, somewhere, in the telenovela rules that will require Yolo's life to be put in danger at some point.

I am so over Sebas' smelly feet.

I’ve wracked my brain, but Yolo says Artemo is her uncle. Isn’t he her first cousin.?Eugenio is her grandfather. Tulio and Audi are her uncles
So they are cousins? What am I missing?

Ari is the son of her great-uncle. I think that makes him her second cousin. In that situation, I wonder if "tío" is just used as some kind of term of respect. Neto would be Ari's half first cousin (supposedly) I believe.

However, if Audifaz is really her grandfather, he would be Neto's half brother, and I think her uncle.

Ari would be Neto's half brother, that is.

Thank you Spanish “Profe” for the family tree...I can see it now.He would be ( Ari) her uncle only if Audifaz and Neto are half brothers...
But if Eugenio is Neto’s father , they are cousins?

Cynthia, thank you. I appreciate your time and effort to give us recap in spite of your busy schedule ...and now company's coming !

I missed this episode. They hate any scenes with Felix or Guido.

Lots of PSAs. I think this large first time we have ever gotten a stinky feet PSA. Maybe the writers are running out of topics to earn us about.I

Hope in can stay awake for tonight's episode.

6abse

6abse..????? Where did that come from ?

Thanks, Cynthia. Great job.

Diana, I nodded in agreement at everything you said about Audi, especially that he doesn't deserve the two kids he has much less Neto. Mama's boy deadbeat hypocrite. @#_&-!

Yay, the needle is moving on Guido being uncovered.

Looking forward to Pancho's vasectomy. I'm expecting big-time slapstick.

Susanlynn, I was wondering what kind of radio call sign 6abse was.

:-)

andy

" Looking forward to Pancho's vasectomy . " ha.

Andy...I have to learn to proof read.
