Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Capítulo 140, Thursday, April 4, 2019; Guido admits to murder and Imelda may be his last victim!

We begin with Daniela coming to the jail to confront a hostile looking Guido. “You are committing an injustice with me, Daniela.” She yells at him, “Be quiet! I am going to demonstrate to everyone that you are the one who poisoned Gabriel! You did it with such cruelty and you did it slowly, little by little, until he collapsed right after our babies were born. You did it while you were in our own home. How could you do it, you yanked the love of my life away from me! You were completely ruthless! You left three babies without a father and you are culpable! Why did you do it, why????”

Guido answers, “Because Gabriel took everything that was supposed to be mine!” Dani asks him, “Are you accepting responsibility for murdering Gabriel?” Smirking, Guido replies, “And I would do it all over again. Do you know how many times I could have killed you? Lots of times and you didn’t even notice.” Dani angrily replies, “What did you get out of murdering Gabriel?” Guido starts to mock Daniela and tell her that she is weak and fragile and that her parents really wanted a boy. He tells her that both their families are alike, full of lies and more lies. “And my family thought Gabriel was better than me! Even my own grandfather thought more of Gabriel than me! But you really should be thanking me for what I did because I showed you what your family is really like.” She yells back at him and says, “My family is unique and not like yours.” So he replies, “So why did your family so easily accept Neto as their son? And no matter what, you’ll never be the son that they wanted.”

“You are nothing but an embittered selfish man. You had your grandfather, but you didn’t value him. You are going to pay for what you did and all the lost hopes and dreams Gabriel and I had. And even though you tried to destroy us, we will survive and move forward in our lives. You will receive your own justice here and be full of your own poison to destroy your own soul. You will be alone in prison day after day to think about it all and how it was all your fault.” Dani then turns her back and walks away from Guido as he stares out at her. He recalls how he tearfully had just said to Yolo that every day he will think about her and wait for her.

Grecia asks Neto exactly why Guido would want to hurt him too and use Yolo. Neto recounts where it came to his attention that the business charter had been falsified.

Yolo tells her brothers in a very mature way about their mother leaving, but she is never leaving them and will grow up with them. “Mother has left us, and we have to learn to live with it.”

Ari and Temo call the children at home to tell them something important about a message they received about Guido. Yolo overhears them.

Eugiono, Blanca, Imelda, and Carlos are at the apartment while Mássimo is resting on the couch. Blanca says she keeps trying to call Dani and gets no response. She is afraid something happened to her. Carlos says he already mentioned it to Dani that Guido was acting very suspicious. Blanca asks, “Do you really think Guido is capable of murder and murdering his own family?”

Dani gets home later and looks in on her babies. She takes the picture of Gabe down and talks to him telling him he is their hero and that his life is revived in their children. She cries and Imelda comes in and wants to know what happened. Dani tells her she will tell her soon but later. Dani mentions that all this is a nightmare, but what she has to tell the family will change everything forever. Imelda settles down in the chair in that room and dozes off. Dani goes over to cover her and Linda walks in. She asks Linda to help her with the babies to take them out of the bedroom while Imelda sleeps. She turns on the humidifier and kisses Imelda telling her to rest well and that the humidifier will help her relax. So she leaves Imelda alone with the humidifier running.

At the Rey apartment, the twins ask if they can go over to Ari’s place to find out about the message they received. Neto asks Yolo if she would like to go over there too. But Yolo says no, she wants to wait on word concerning Guido. She tries to send a text to Guido.

At Ari’s place, Ari tells the children they got an anonymous message that it was Guido who tried to run him over. The Rey twins tell him that the police have arrested Guido. Ari and Temo just look at each other in disbelief.

Neto has gone over to the Córsega apartment and gathers with the family as one of them. Susana and Axel are there too. Daniela comes out with her babies and sits down to make her announcement about what has really happened. “Family, I’ve gathered you here together because you deserve to know the truth. This truth will change everything and it hurts me from the bottom of my soul. With what I am going to say to you, you are all going to have to be strongly united. However, even with all the suffering we have endured, the good will finally win over.” Blanca is worried and says, “Please tell us what happened.” Dani takes a deep breath and says, “Gabriel died because he was poisoned. I have the proof and Guido is the murderer. The family is shocked.

Blanca comes over to Daniela to hug her and remind her how much they love her and are there for her. Susana asks about Pancho going over to the police department with them. Daniela says that she pressed charges against Guido over there and that is why they put Guido in jail. Polita offers Eduardo’s services for her if she needs them. Blanca then tells Dani that she needs to eat, as she hasn’t eaten all day long. Susana reiterates that thought and that they must stay united as Córsegas just as her father wanted them to. “No matter what, you have our support with whatever you need. You can count on us.” Dani thanks Susana. Then Neto says, “Susana is right, we are all with you together in this. I think we can all sign off to the fact that he did all of us wrong.” Susana asks, “Did he hurt you too, Eugenio?” Eugenio says, “It was Guido who changed the results of the DNA analysis.” Dani says to Neto, “Take care of Yolo, it isn’t going to be easy for her.”

In jail, Guido smiles as he thinks about the humidifier and how he poured a liquid substance into it.

Ari and Temo question the Rey twins as to where Guido is being held. The twins just say that he tried to run away with their sister and that is all they know right now. Someone asks if the reason he wanted to run away was because of Yolo. However, Sebas says it has to be something more. Then they recall an article they saw online about Guido’s parents dying in a strange accident, but the article was in Italian. Julio mentions the white powder they found in Guido’s room. Ari asks, “Do you think the powder was some kind of drugs?”

Neto sits down with Susana and asks, “How in the world am I going to explain to my daughter that the man she loves is a monster? This comes at a time when her mother has left her again.” Susana says, “I find that the best way is just to be truthful, no matter how painful it might be.” Neto is just afraid that Yolo will be overcome with grief and just give up. Susana takes his hand and tells him, “Your greatest hope is your family.”

The rest of the family is in the kitchen while Blanca serves up some tea to Dani. Blanca says she hopes that Guido stays in prison for many years to come. Dani says, “Prison isn’t a harsh enough punishment for him. His life in prison can never pay for all the pain he has caused.” Linda asks about whoever sent all those messages…well that person could be a witness in court.” Dani isn’t for certain who sent them, but she suspects it was Luigi because spent a lot of time with him.

Neto returns to his apartment to talk to Yolo. He says, “I’m glad we are alone because I need to talk to you. I have information about Guido for you. Look I know you are young and at your age it’s hard to confront things that are very difficult.” “Tell me the truth Papa, what happened to Guido and why is he in jail? Are you the one who reported and complained against him? I know I’m under age, but we love each other and we made a lot of plans together. He can’t stay in jail.” Neto takes her hands and says, “Daughter, there are very powerful reasons you need to stay away from him.” Yolo interrupts and says that it must be all a mistake. Neto then explains, “There are many mistakes that have consequences and some of them can be fixed. Some mistakes come with a lot of punishment and will never come out of prison. Yolo looks confused.

Upstairs, the children invite the Rey twins to be part of their united group because together, they can make the world better. Polita comes in with a very serious look on her face. She tells the children to be careful and be united together because bad people do exist.

Frida asks Blanca if she is going to tell her what happened but Blanca just tells her it is something very serious. She gives Blanca a hug.

In the living room, Dani apologizes to Carlos for her behavior. She tells him, “I just never did imagine that Guido would do something like this and be so full of envy and hatred.” She thanks him for opening her eyes to the truth.

Neto continues talking to Yolo as she gets quite upset. “Tell me what happened, Papa!” He takes her hands and says, “He murdered his cousin Gabriel. He poisoned him.” Yolo is in shock and lets go of her father’s hands. “No, no, no. This can’t be.” Neto gets her to sit down and he tries to comfort her. She starts to hyperventilate and Neto hugs her, telling her they will come out on top after this. “But I love him. He isn’t capable of doing all that.” Yolo cries.

Guido sits in jail remembering the love and good times he had been sharing with Yolo. He also remembers some good advice about love that Tavo gave him during a therapy session.

Susana and Blanca are out in the hallway of the building in front of the Canuto plant talking about the united Córsega family. But they are not quite united as they could be yet.
Axel and Linda are discussing whether or not they should tell her family that they are back together with all the drama going. Axel says they can wait telling them, but he cannot postpone their love. He already told his mother that Linda was the love of his life and nothing would ever change that.

Dani goes into her room where Imelda has been napping and realizes a bad odor in the room. She cannot waken Imelda and goes to open the windows. She calls Carlos to return over to the house. Blanca tries to wake up Imelda and she is not responsive.

In jail, Guido thinks to himself that he hopes everyone is enjoying his “surprise.”

Frida goes out to get help for Imelda, finds Susana who goes out to go get Pancho.

Carlos gets there and find out that the humidifier had poison. He tells Dani to get everyone out of the apartment. He and Pancho try to figure out how to lift Imelda out of the room.

The family and everyone is in the hallway and Dani says that it appears that cyanide was in the humidifier and that Guido put in in the last time he was there. Santi says that everyone is in danger with it. Temo comes down and asks if they have any baking soda and oxygen. Santi (or Andi) says they can make an antidote with it.

Neto, still trying to comfort Yolo hears the commotion outside of the apartment. He excuses himself because he wants to see what is going on. He kisses her on the forehead and tells her he loves her. Yolo collapses in grief on the sofa.

Wow, lots of stuff happening tonight. I know a lot of us don't like Imelda, but I don't want her to die this way with Guido getting this "victory" striking once again. Hopefully, they can save her and maybe Temo will end up the hero in this if he knows how to come up with an antidote using baking soda and oxygen for the cyanide poisoning.

Cynthia, thank you for that detailed recap.

Guido is despicable . I am glad that Dani discovered the truth and that Carlos will be there for her and her triplets. I

Have a good day, all. Dark, dreary, rainy here.

Cynthia, you elevated excellence to an even higher level. One of my favorite recaps of yours, which is saying quite a bit. Perfect title and screen shots.

In the midst of angst and anguish, you found beauty: "Neto has gone over to the Córsega apartment and gathers with the family as one of them".

"Susana takes his hand and tells him, “Your greatest hope is your family” - so very true. For all their differences, the family has rallied and will fight to vanquish evil.

We were all uneasy with the humidifier and for good reason. I can't say I was surprised at the evil emissions but Guido's gloating at the babies fate was sickening. What immense hatred.

Loved the baby "pool". How many babies did it take to film last night?? The little girl Dani had on her lap (in the first round) was lovely with that sweet curl! I digress but it was a bright spot in a difficult episode.

The acting has been stellar. Dani was riveting and Yolo, not far behind. Neto treated Yolo with such love and support, I admit I got a little misty myself.

I wonder if Yolo will confront Guido in jail. His one lifeline to any sort of reality is Yolo. If she condemns him, the one positive thing he had in his life will be gone.

Imelda is like Teflon. Nothing sticks. I'm sure she will be fine. Well, physically anyway :)

Glad Santi and Andi joined with the other children...

Happy Friday all! Hope your day gets sunnier Susanlynn!

Can't wait until tonight! Thank you Cynthia.

Diana

Great screen shots and recap Cynthia. And Diana, have to laugh at your description of Imelda..."she's like teflon, nothing sticks". Well, I'll hold off on any predictions, since I'm always wrong anyway. Will be interesting to see how the writers pull all this mess back into a lovely package with a Happy Ending Bow on top.

Susanlynn, dreary and rainy here too. But the anemones are peeking up from the ground and the rabbits and deer haven't eaten up all my tulips and daffodils yet, so I'm still hoping for Spring.

Have a great day everyone, and thanks again Cynthia.

Thank you, Cynthia. I just watched this and you sure did justice to this episode. Your screen cap choice was perfect! Wonderful as usual!

Now they are talking about the gran final being on Monday the 15th but then Doña Flor starting the 15th. Guess they will get their act together as the week goes in. I hope we get that extra hour (two hours would be perfect) on Monday so we don’t lose too much

They cut a funny scene tonight with Crisanta finding some “powder” on her kitchen counter. Grecia says it looks like little eggs and then tells her about the termite Julio just caught.

Temo to the rescue! That would be problematical for Imelda if she were to survive because of him.

Oh how I wished Dani could have wiped that sadistic smirk off of Guido’s face!

Julio never fails to surprise. When the kids were all talking about the white powder that was found in Guido’s things and thinking it might have been a drug, Julio brought up it might have been a poison like they used on Rasputin. I like that kid!

Diana, yes “Imelda is like Teflon”. I agree that she will most likely survive. A “baby pool”. I never thought about it. That makes me smile. I, also, cannot wait until tonight. How was jury duty?

Susanlynn, Dani and Carlos would make a good couple. It is warm but cloudy today here.

Time to make café. Looks like Pet Sematary is on the agenda.

Cynthia: Guido is not only a twisted freak, he's a sociopath.

Susanlynn: I think Imelda is no longer with us.

Jarifa: Those kids do crack me up LOL.

Judy, your weather must be a bit ahead of ours. How I long to see tulips!!

Jarifa, I meant to ask if the episode was cut. A few scenes in the beginning (Dani at the jail then changed and at home) seemed not to flow. You just confirmed it. Rats. Uni couldn't leave well enough alone even at this crucial juncture... I would have liked to have seen the snippet you mentioned - anything with Cris has me smiling.

Oooh, Pet Sematary...I adore John Lithgow so I'm sure it will be good. I can't watch those types of movies - too scary for me.

Diana

Diana, they have been cutting the very end of scenes right before commercials for a while but basically leaving everything in. Last night was the first full scene that has been cut for a while. Another PSA for termite awareness? LOL Maybe a PSA for a cyanide poisoning antidote? Hope we never would have to think of the latter. These novelas sure teach me a lot! 🐜

Thanks Jarifa. I feel a bit better that was all we missed. LOL at the termite awareness :)

Diana

Jarifa: Dani & Carlos do make a very good couple. The triplets need a Daddy.

Great recap, Cynthia! Yolo seems to have finally attained some wisdom. The actress playing her did a very good job of hyperventilating. I was convinced!

When did Guido put poison in humidifier. He was fleeing....if he had done before, why hadn’t triplets gotten ill. Surely Dani had used it before?....help

The two men trying to lift venomous Imelda to fresh air! Probably fun to film....

Anon, I think it's beanie time regarding as to when Guido put the poison in the humidifier.

He had visited Dani recently but as you noted, time had gone by so we just must assume she hadn't used the humidifier since that happened.

And yes, not to be unkind, but I think it would have taken more than 2 men to "carry" Imelda to safety...

SpanProf, I agree Yolo's hyperventilating was a well executed "touch". The actress playing Yolo is very good. Allison Lozz got her first major role when she was 15 I believe. If something becomes available for a very young looking lead, Yolo is a shoe in.

Diana

Cynthia, thank you for this excellent recap.

Steve, I agree that Dani & Carlos make a very good couple.

It will take some time for everybody to get back to "normal" after all Guido has done. If the "Oppas" actually do make it back before the finale I wonder how they will play it. It can't be just fun and happiness after all that has happened. And I want to see how Yolo handles all the revelations about Guido.

Jarifa, "Guess they [Univision] will get their act together as the week goes in." Oh, you dreamer, you!

BUT, zap2it.com says 15 April: MMTmF, 7-9 PM; Doña Flor y sus dos maridos, 9-10. If true I'm sure it's more a case of divine intervention than Univision getting their act together.

:-)

Thank you, Cynthia, for the great detailed recap! Another jam-packed episode -- your work to recap all that happened is much appreciated.

Jarifa, thanks for your notes about the slight trims at the ends of scenes. I noticed that some of the scenes seemed to end too abruptly, glad to have that mystery solved since the editing is usually very good on the show. Sorry we missed the whole scene with Cristanta but glad to know the gist of it.

Many people pointed out a few episodes ago that the humidifier was going to come into play because the camera kept showing it, started when Guido visited Dani after Carlos went to his house to grill him. I guess we just have to believe that Dani had not used the humidifier since then. But it was only a few days ago.

If Temo's cyanide antidote helps Imelda, that might provide the kick she needs to accept him and Ari, or at least move in that direction. It's hard to be too hateful toward somebody who has helped save your life!

I agree with everyone about the great acting in this episode. The actresses who play Yolo and Dani and the actor who plays Guido have all been amazing lately.

Thanks to everyone for your fun and interesting comments. Very excited to see what happens tonight!

Thanks everyone. I too am a little confused as to when Guido got to the humidifier. Now this is all one day, from the time we see Guido packing up, Yolo getting the phone call from her mother saying that she is leaving and Guido picking her up. I recall, just as Guido is leaving his home, he has that little bottle of poison liquid. I can’t remember if he stopped by at the Córsegas that morning just before he got the call from Yolo to pick him up from school.

It was good to see Yolo comforting her brothers about their mother’s leaving again. Now she realizes her mother just isn’t cut out for motherhood. Maybe Ariana does love them in her own way, but knows she doesn’t have what it takes for being a good mother.

It looks like Julieta and Robert return in tonight’s episode maybe? I wonder if they will stay with Catalina? Is Catalina in a different home? Cuz I recall that at one time she had Hugo with Diana in one room and Bruno had another room. Catalina had her own room and Julieta shared it with her when she was staying there for a little while last season. So if she is in the same house, then it would be a 3 bedroom house. Does anyone remember her moving into a new place? I remember she kept having issues with water and burst pipes or something.

Thanks, Andy. It looks like we are going to turn out A-okay!

Guido had a key fraudently made to the Córcega apartment so he could come in any time he wanted.

Jarifa, if Guido entered the Corsega apartment earlier that morning, he must have been very stealthy. With so many people living there, it would be hard not to get caught.

Thanks, Jarifa and Cynthia. These last two episodes have been spellbinding and your coverage has been excellent. I don't know how in blazes you both create your recaps so quickly and with such sparkle and detail. Muchisimas gracias.

ITA on the great job the Dani and Yolo actresses are doing. Both very natural.

I confess I wanted to see how they'd carry Imelda out.

Niecie, you make me laugh but I wanted to see the same thing.Maybe tonight?
