MIRADA Episode #51

IT'S ABOUT TO GET UGLY, FOLKS Part I

Ay yi yi, we're at that point in a telenovela where everyone is making soul-wrenching, horrid decisions and the bad guys are winning. We want to knock these characters' heads together but nobody hears us yelling at the TV! So let's just jump in and enjoy the misery together.

Marina is musing about Lino's arrival in the big city, supposedly seeking fame and fortune, but actually seeking Vanessa (who certainly will require fame and considerable fortune at the very least.)Damiana is surprised to learn that love sweet love brought him here.

Meanwhile Marina is remembering her own sweet love and how those kisses and tender moments all turned to dust. She's left with nothing but a bun in the oven and a pain in her heart.

Ever hopeful Lino is talking on the telephone to Vane, begging her to value his work busking in the streets but she's all high dudgeon "YOU LIED TO ME!" offended and hangs up on him.

Beto is curled up feeling sorry for himself wondering how he can forget Marina. (Turns out Vanessa and Susana have a plan for that.)

Doña Chole meets the whole crew, Toribio, Baldomero, a very pregnant Marina, Damiana and Paulino who tell her of their plan to all live together in two rooms. She looks dubious and reminds them she's going to have to raise the rent a bit, given that the utilities will be getting heavy usage.

Meanwhile Doc Dark Shadows is lurking around the cemetery hoping to follow Baldomero back home. And Lino is telling a distraught Marina that he saw Vane and Beto exiting a fancy restaurant and they looked very much like a couple. Dude, don't upset a pregnant woman! It's bad for the baby!

Back at the swank digs, Beto is packing up his things to move into his lonely apartment. Prudencia is fretting about the amount of time he's spending with Vanessa but and fears he's using the "un clavo saca otro clavo" as a way to get over Marina. He assures her that he and Vane just have a friendship and yes, she understands that.

Marina puts on a brave face and tells Lino that Beto is free to do as he chooses. A bureaucratic mistake has nullified their marriage. More bad news for Lino who had hoped to be respected for his "trabajo digno" rather than humiliated by upper class girlfriend. Instead of gaining traction, he's losing ground.

A few minutes of fun--Susana is frothing at the mouth, practically hysterical that Beto is moving out of the family abode. He's had a cold leavetaking of Dad, reminding don Luis that he did everything possible to wreck his romance with Marina. So keep the car and the credit card. "Can I have a hug?" whimpers don Luis. Apparently not. Adiós.

As my mom used to say "Serves you right!"

MIRADA Episode #51

IT'S ABOUT TO GET UGLY FOLKS Part II

Doña Chole and Liana are having a heart to heart. Mom figures out Ana has the hots for Lino and is devastated to learn he has a very pregnant wife. But Mom dismisses Lino as a layabout with no job, no future. Ana deserves better.

Erick and Beto are chatting at the hospital. The former wonders why Beto and Vane are still pretending to be engaged, and is totally gobsmacked that Beto returned the credit card to Papa. Still, as Beto shares that Vanessa brings back good memories of his youth and more carefree days, Erick starts to wonder. So do we.

Susana, the human barnacle, is clamped onto Luis again as he rumbles about the need to hire more workers to deal with the alleged broken fence at the ranch. Why? queries Susana. Because Lino quit and has come to the big city for the usual nonsense--getting an education and starting a career in music. As if!

Wow! In no time flat, Susana has run down Vane at the country club, grabbed her in a chin-crushing headlock and wants to know HOW LONG HAS SHE KNOWN LINO WAS IN TOWN!!!??? Vane lies unconvincingly. I just want to smack 'em both.

Just before the ads start to roll, we see Doc Maskinator still lurking. But Ana is lighting up like the sun after she learns Marina is just Lino's childhood friend. Not his wedded wife.

Well, at least somebody's happy.

MIRADA Episode #51

IT'S ABOUT TO GET UGLY FOLKS Part III

Well, in case you thought Baldomero was just a pretty face, our guy figures out rather quickly that Doc Ugly is following him. First he catches his reflection in the shop window as he considers buying a necklace for Damiana. Some more shadow-boxing with him sending Toribio off in a different direction. The Doc keeps following Mr. B, so Baldomero slips into a bar. Sits there playing with his drink for an eternity before finally figuring out he needs to escape through a back door. But also has the smarts to telephone Damiana to alert them about the new menace. Marina, who's had a lousy day so far, now has one more worry. If this doesn't bring on premature labor, I don't know what will.

NOW FOR THE REALLY REALLY REALLY AWFUL PART. ARE YOU READY?

Vane, pretty much a human barnacle like Mom, is all flirty flirty tee-hee giggle-poo with Beto and...oh god...I don't think I can...oh well...yes! they kiss! And then they keep on kissing. Ugh, someone get me a bucket! He starts to apologize, she says no, no, and suddenly they're both saying "do you think we should give it one more try?"

NOOOOOOOOOO! But nobody's listening to me.

In no time flat, Beto and Vane waltz into the family home trilling happily that they're back together again. Susana looks ecstatic. Vane too. Don Luis quietly satisfied. Beto somewhat grim. Prudencia like she's about to puke.

Me too.

MIRADA Episode #51

IT'S ABOUT TO GET UGLY FOLKS Part IV

There's a crazy wild celebration going on. Break out the best champagne! Don Luis and Susana are going to toast this marvelous news even if nobody else does. Beto and Prudencia are too busy bickering about his impetuous decision. He tells her to butt out. Boy, DO NOT DISRESPECT YOUR MAMA. Proof positive that our fella is headed in the wrong direction. And why the rush to get hitched?

Angustias is getting busy also. Buzzing around like an enraged hornet telling both Vane and Beto that they are wrong, wrong, wrong to get into a marriage based solely on companionship and understanding. Vane contends that they have to help each other get over falling in love with the Wrong People. Um-hum. Sure.

Baldomero, who's looking like a real prince to me, has decided he and Toribio will stay in an hotel tonight and quit the cemetery job tomorrow. Anything to protect Marina from the lust-crazed doctor. You go Baldomero! Whadda guy!

MIRADA Episode #51

IT'S ABOUT TO GET UGLY FOLKS Part V

Well, this episode ends not with a bang but a whimper. Beto slinks off to his apartment after being schooled by Angustias. But not before apologizing once again to Vanessa for past behavior and hoping he won't let her down.

Vane slips up and says "Hope I won't let you down either." Whoops. Beto catches it, but she assures him it meant nothing.

And the final scene is poor Marina, tossing and turning in her humble cot, remembering the nightmare of Doc Isauro slobbering all over her and reminding her that she was WITH HIM...IN HIS BED.

Ugh and double Ugh. I need some heavy duty ice cream right now. Seriously. I'll meet you all at the virtual Patio Ice Cream Parlor later.

DICHOS OF THE DAY

Ni amor reanudado, ni chocolate recalentado. = Don't try and rekindle an old romance. It won't work out. (reheated chocolate is bitter)

Antes de que te cases, mira lo que haces. = Look before you leap. Don't jump into a marriage precipitously.

Sooo, will Vane and Beto listen to me and my dichos? Stay tuned tomorrow to find out.

MIRADA

Wow, Judy, you have this up so fast! Thank you for your recap. My favorites ---
"She's left with nothing but a bun in the oven and a pain in her heart." (Sounds like a country music song)
"Susana, the human barnacle..."

Well, drat. The marriage is null and void due to a misspelt name. Whodathunk? Does it work that way here in the U.S.?
Too bad that this does not qualify as a "derailed wedding", or I would have a BINGO. Wah! I must endure. Ice cream on The Patio with our peeps will sufficiently console. Ben & Jerry's it is! (My guilty pleasure)

I look forward to watching this and seeing Don L not get his hug. 😜

Doris, here's a thought...let's get Paulino involved. He can put "Bun in the Oven and Pain in her Heart" to music and we'll have a big hit, get rich, and he and Vane can get married. Meanwhile you and I can just overdose on ice cream.

Oh and News Flash, tomorrow's recap will be a bit late. I'm babysitting tomorrow afternoon. But I'll have it up sometime in the early evening, si Diós quiere.

JudyB - no te preocupes! Enjoy your babysitting time. I hope it is with your grands.

MIRADA

I guess those white elbow patches on Beto's shirt sleeves are the latest fashion? Hmmmm ... that's different.

Kudos to Baldo for losing Doc BSC and then quitting his new job JUST TO KEEP MARINA SAFE. The man is a saint.

Su asking the kids when are they getting married was a bit much.

“A Bit Much” should be Sue’s middle name, Doris. And I’m beginning to think the reason she’s broke is the size of her bar bill. What a lush!

MIRADA
I swear I did not look ahead when I made that PROGNOSTICATION about Beto and Vane getting married and making each other miserable, but it sure looks like it could happen (which I know it won't--it was just a Crock Pot Theory), against their better judgment, including Pru's and Antsyie's.

I'm glad Ana found out right away Lino wasn't married to Marina.

JudyB, I will read the recap tomorrow with my breakfast. I know it's going to be great.

MIRADA

JudyB, a great job and really fun to read, thank you very much. I'm another one who loved "She's left with nothing but a bun in the oven and a pain in her heart." I agree it would make a great C&W song!

Wow, I missed out on last night's excitement that carried over into today. You guys set up an ice cream shoppe and started making some wild and crazy predictions.

JudyB, you had me laughing with "Vanessa will end up with our very own Andy Banda." Well, from your lips to God's ear, but no, I don't think so.   :-)

And "He's a man who knows a lip lock and vacuum seal when he sees one. Which indicates he's a bit of an expert in that department." Lol! I suspect there is quite a bit of experience and expertise here at Caray,Caray. And I will say no more about this lest I put my foot firmly into my mouth.

I guess I'll have rum raisin, heavy on the rum.

FLOR
Ep 35: Part 1 Marga Spills the Beans, But Not All of Them

Val is going bonkers because he thinks Teo is going to kill Marga…and then she might end up in limbo with him—Ay, Caray! He surely doesn’t want that!

At the police station, Chile overhears Nestor and another cop talking about how ill Marga is and that they may end up going to her funeral. Chile panics and pleads with Nestor to let him go, but Nestor refuses.

There is chaos at Teo’s office as he prepares for the infamous operation. To viewerville’s surprise, Flor and Rose are watching the whole thing through a large window. Val is also there freaking out. After Teo tells the surgeon to go ahead and take out any organs that may look bad, Marga finally can’t take it anymore and blurts out that the whole thing was lie!

Tere, Vicente and some other townspeople are at the church pleading with Elpi to do something because the curse is going full force since Marga is in the hospital as they speak and she is dying. Elpi is speechless because he didn’t know Marga was so bad off; so Elpi holds a prayer session. He wants to leave the people there praying so he can go ask Aure how Marga is, but Vicente and Tere insist that he stay there to lead them in prayer.

Flor questions Marga as to why she would do this. Rose tells Teo and Flor that she had no idea about her mother’s scheme and wonders how Teo could even think she would do something like this. Marga backs up Rose and tells them that she did this all on her own. After Flor asks Teo and Rose to leave her alone with Marga, Rose tries to add to her lies by telling Teo that she has no idea how her mother could get all those reports. Teo points out that Susy, the secretary, is her friend, but Rose responds that she hasn’t seen Susy in a long time. In the operating room, Marga tries to convince Flor that she did all of this because she was lonely. It might sound ridiculous, but it’s the truth…it must be her old age. When Flor argues that she has Rose, Marga insists that she also needs Flor and asks Flor not to let this come between them.

In the elevator, Rose tells Teo that it’s too bad that things didn’t work out to their benefit. Teo has no clue what she is talking about. As Val tells her not to say anything, the lights flicker. Rose is about to explain to Teo, but Val grabs her and kisses her as Teo tries to figure out what is wrong with the lights. When the lights turn back on , Teo turns around to see Rose with her mouth wide open, moving her head around (as Ghost Val kisses her). When Val stops and Rose snaps out of it, she looks like she just had an orgasm and asks for a cigarette. Teo looks at her with a sour face. After they exit the elevator, Val wipes the cooties off.

Outside, Flor tells Aure that their mother made up the whole thing. Meanwhile, Rose is telling Jovita that Teo kissed her in the elevator and it was a phenomenal experience. Rose then gets a text message from Teo’s phone with an apology because he couldn’t contain himself anymore.

After Aure is over his disbelief about Marg, he points out to Flor that he has made an exerted effort to change for the better. He hopes that Flor will testify for him since Mariana is asking for custody of Xochitl.

FLOR
Ep 35: Part 2 Marga Spills the Beans, But Not All of Them

Marga walks out in the town. Tere, Vicente, and their followers yell out joyously when they see her; their prayers have been answered!! Later, Marga sees Teo and Flor outside. Flor doesn’t even want to look at her, but Marga pleads with Flor and tells her how remorseful and ashamed she is. Flor doesn’t think Marga understands the magnitude of what she has done and walks away leaving Marga with the townsfolk who are still in awe of the miracle. Marga barks that there was no miracle and walks away as Elpi holds the folks back.

Teo tells Flor that he still doesn’t understand her mother. Flor brushes it off and tells him that she feels even closer to him now and kisses him. Teo wants to move up their wedding date…and Flor agrees…as Val watches.

Aure chides Marga for what she did. When Marga reminds him that she is his mother and not to talk to her in that tone, Aure retorts that she is acting like a child. After Marga counters that no one thinks about her, Elpi arrives to ask how she is, but Marga refuses to talk to anyone.

Teo and Flor plan their wedding. Flor wants something simple, but Teo had always thought she wanted something more elaborate and recalls the wedding she had described when they were children. He loves her and they can have whatever type of wedding she wants…he will cover all the costs.

Aure tells Elpi that he is worried because Mariana already gave him the divorce papers and even talked Flor into testifying for her. Elpi reminds him that he had advised him to try to settle things among themselves and that going through court brings out the worst in people. When Elpi offers to try to help Aure with a reconciliation, Aure won’t hear of it; he wants Elpi to testify that he has changed. When Aure asks if Elpi will support him like a father would support his son, Elpi agrees, but hopes things won’t get that far.

Rose gets home and thanks Marga for not revealing that she was behind the lie. Marga snaps back that she doesn’t want to talk to her. When Rose uses the “I’m still your daughter” card, Marga retorts that that does not give her the right to involve her in her stupid schemes. From now on, Rose had better not count on her. Marga yells at her to get out!! After Rose reminds her about her relationship with Chile, Marga is fierce as she tells Rose that she will not allow her to use her again. If she has to, Marga will tell everyone about Chile…and she will also tell everyone how Rose threatened and blackmailed her into making her sister’s life miserable.

At the casino, Mariana is scolding the dancers for not following her instructions when Aure comes in and comments that maybe the instructor is not doing her job. He orders the girls to go get dressed for the performance and adds that if their performance is not perfect, he will dock them for the day. Mariana looks at him in disbelief that he made the threats without caring if he is being fair or not. Aure counters that if she doesn’t like it she can leave…since she doesn’t need the money she is making there anyway.

FLOR
Ep 35: Part 3 Marga Spills the Beans, But Not All of Them

Val beams himself over to Rose and tells her that she needs to be desperate and crazier than ever. When he gets close to her, Rose reacts; so Val thinks she may have heard him.

Nestor lets Chile out of jail and warns him to stay away from Marga who had a miraculous recovery.

At Marga’s house, Marga is preparing several dishes of food. When Rose asks why all the food, Marga replies that it will be for Flor’s engagement party. When she adds that everything they did only resulted in Flor moving up her wedding date and that they will marry in 15 days, Rose is flabbergasted!

MIRADA

Judy, you've done it again - had me smiling and laughing away as I start my day.

"soul-wrenching, horrid decisions" and "swank digs" were great but "Susana, the human barnacle" made me laugh out loud. And heartily.

Excellent!

Sounds like the typical TN crazies which all of you are having great fun with.

"Ni amor reanudado, ni chocolate recalentado. = Don't try and rekindle an old romance. It won't work out. (reheated chocolate is bitter)" - marvelous.

Diana

FLOR

Rgv Chick, you are a one woman tour de force…

An enchanting, engrossing, beautifully crafted short story.

I loved the title. I followed every single scene in my mind's eye.

"When Val stops and Rose snaps out of it, she looks like she just had an orgasm and asks for a cigarette". Pure platinum...

Not only is Rose cruel and calculating, she is totally delusional. Does she really believe Teo is "going along" with wanting to marry Flor when he really wants her? It defies all logic, even for a TN!

I hope Marga is indeed ready to stop the madness! "Marga is fierce as she tells Rose that she will not allow her to use her again. If she has to, Marga will tell everyone about Chile…and she will also tell everyone how Rose threatened and blackmailed her into making her sister’s life miserable". Finally, Marga stiffens her spine.

"There is chaos at Teo’s office as he prepares for the infamous operation" and "After they exit the elevator, Val wipes the cooties off" just made me grin happily.

So my poor Chile is still exiled. I wonder if there is any hope for he and Marga? Perhaps the bigger question is whether there should be??
.
"Val beams himself over to Rose and tells her that she needs to be desperate and crazier than ever". Really?? How on earth would that be possible?

Will the wedding proceed? Can't wait to find out.

My mind and heart are now full of sunshine. Thank you Rgv Chick!

Diana

FLOR

Not watching this Rgv Chick, but that title is gangbusters...so funny! Thanks.

MIRADA

Andy and Nina. Thanks you two. You both made me laugh reading your comments and that's a great way to start the day. I'm getting a feel for our different tastes in ice cream also. I think Baskin & Robbins has disappeared from the cosmos but I used to love their chocolate mocha flavor. Seems like I'll have to stock up on many different kinds for our patio, because I fear we've got tough times ahead.

Nina, as far as I know, Susana's husband died. She probably nagged him to death, or suffocated him in one of those chin locks that she practices on the hapless Vanessa. At any rate she's free to line up her next victim which appears to be don Luis.

"MIRADA":

Judy: What's the Body Count on this Telenovela ?

MIRADA

Nina - I love your CrockPot Theory that Susana's husband might have faked his death to escape her. It might have been his best way out. Wouldn't it be great if he shows up some day?!?

I don't keep body counts Steve. No idea.

Yes, Doris, our Nina always comes up with interesting theories. I'd be delighted if he'd show up again and cast a spanner in the works.

MIRADA

JudyB, what a great way to start the day on the patio. Your recap was pure delight and I will echo Diana's sentiments on those phrases she identified above...pure gold!

It sure is getting ugly, but I marveled at how quickly Baldo acted to escape Doc Dread.

I like Ana and her mam, Dona Chile, both down-to-earth and they have a heart. Lino would be so much better off with Ana.

Anita, you sure hit that nail on the head--Beto and Vanesa back together again, but it just seems to easy. Will something or someone cause pandemonium for them?

While it would really be nice if Susana's husband showed up to put a damper on her plans, I doubt it...unless he faked his own death to get away from SuDooDoo. That would really put a twist on things!

Thanks, JudyB! You have me smiling!

FLOR

Diana, thank you for your kind review :-)

I wish I could capture the humor better; the scene in the operating room was hilarious as was the scene in the elevator! You would have loved it.

It seems like Chile is being put on the back burner for now. He has some many road blocks to Marga; I don't see how they will end up together. I'm not sure Marga would actually be willing to tell everyone about Chile. She is too proud and image-conscious; she has already avoided telling the folks about the fake illness.

I'm hoping the wedding does proceed!

MIRADA

Angustias was total MVP in this episode regarding Beto and Vane. I doubt those two will make it down the aisle. Even if Beto is okay with it, Vane and Lino have a long road ahead of them with Chucha standing in the way. Ana might swoop in as well despite knowing Lino’s heart belongs to someone else.

I loved watching Baldo give Doc Two Face the slip.

MVP...I love it, TF. Angustias was indeed racing around like a zealous point guard trying to avert disaster and correct players' mistakes.

And I too loved Baldo giving Doc Two Face the slip. Nice to see the good guys playing it smart once in a while.

Someone needs to start keeping a list of all the names we have for Doc Isauro. They are legion!

Steve--You're our list maker. How about keeping a tally of the many names the commenters have for Doc Isauro?

MIRADA
JudyB--Thank you for making my day. It's such a pleasure to read your recaps, and they just keep on coming.

Here are some of my favorite phrases from your opus, starting with the title, IT'S ABOUT TO GET UGLY FOLKS:

She's left with nothing but a bun in the oven and a pain in her heart (top favorite at the Ice Cream Parlor). But Lino converting it into a Magic Fountain song is pure genius.
Susana, the human barnacle, is clamped onto Luis again (another top favorite)
A few minutes of fun--Susana is frothing at the mouth
"Can I have a hug?" whimpers don Luis. Apparently not. Adiós.
Well, in case you thought Baldomero was just a pretty face, our guy figures out rather quickly that Doc Ugly is following him.
[Angsty] Buzzing around like an enraged hornet

Can't wait to see what your head and you pen (pencil, keyboard, juarever) come up with next.

Gosh Anita...thanks for all those "flores". And I love it that you have breakfast at noon. Seems like something Audrey Hepburn would do.

I guess that you can tell I'm enjoying being back in a Recapper's chair again. Writing is one way we deal with Life's challenges isn't it? Helps though if one is writing for a warm, friendly Patio and this one sure is.

Have fun with your traveling preparations. I'm away the last week in June, but have to admit that I HATE traveling. Only do it to spend time with my grandchildren. Otherwise...I'm a hapless homebody. Did lots of gallivanting in my 20's but that was it.

MIRADA Episode #52

THE BUN IS OUT OF THE OVEN! Part I

Yes, Baby Bun is out. And in the most dramatic way possible. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Here's what happened first. We have a little replay of Marina's nightmare about Doc Isauro. In the meantime, he's throwing a major hissyfit at the cemetery when he finds out Baldomero has quit his job. Curses! Foiled again!

Back at the house, Susana is back to her TIC TOC TIC TOC TIC TOC routine, trying to get a reluctant Vanessa to hurry up the wedding plans. Since she refuses, Chucha takes it upon herself to organize the nuptials and announce it to all their high society friends.

Lino, calls Vanessa for the 454th time. He's become a serious stalker and it's not getting him anywhere. And Ramona isn't getting anywhere either--when she timidly suggests maybe Doc Ugly should leave Marina alone, he falls into a fury and shoves her around. Then announces his next move: he'll shadow Yola and her Dad.They're sure to lead him to Marina.

Cue some montage scenes. I love these. Very easy on the recapper. Yola is walking and laughing with Erasmo. That seems to be going well. The Doc and Zackrat meet. Baldomero and Toribio are working in the market. Everything seems to be peachy keen but then there's a front page, huge newspaper headline announcement of Beto's and Vanessa's engagement. You'd think they were Prince Harry and Meghan for god's sake. Damiana tries to hide the newspaper but Toribio sees another one and promptly spills the beans. Upon hearing the news, Marina goes into labor. Just like that.

The scene shifts to the hospital where Beto is being told by the nurse to go home and relax. But then he sees the newspaper headline and he's almost as upset as Marina.

Ditto for the home base. Vanessa is annoyed about the precipitous announcement, but Susana (gosh no! it wasn't me who put it in the paper!)and don Luis are over the moon happy. Vane gets a big bear hug from the big bear, and her reservations are dismissed as "pamplinas" (nonsense). He's thrilled that the marriage plans are "llegando a cuajar" (cuajar, a cooking term, means to jell, or come together)

Back at the market there is total hysteria. Lots of useless running around and screaming until finally they get Marina loaded into a truck (sorry, but that's the only way to say it); and Toribio and Baldomero jump in the cab, waiting for Nico to take off for the hospital. Only problem, nobody knows where the ignition key is. These guys. Useless in an emergency.

Damiana calls out for clean towels and hot water. Gird your loins people, we're going to have our first ever born-in-a-truck scene.

Marina is groaning, Damiana is coaching, we hears lots of Push! Push! Push! "And Not with your throat, push down there!!!!" and really, within a very short time, especially for a primapara, the baby is born. Folks in the street who have been peering through the sides of the truck at all this birthing drama break into a loud cheer.

Whew. Fortunately Damiana really does know how to birth babies and there were no complications. But given the distinctly unsterile conditions, they need to get to a hospital quickly.

MIRADA Episdoe #52

THE BUN IS OUT OF THE OVEN Part II

Angustias, our MVP, has figured out the strategy. She tells a dismayed Prudencia that Susana is engineering all this rush rush wedding business. Prudencia doesn't believe it. Believe, Prudencia, believe! Angustias then flits in to see Vanessa who confirms that yeah, it's my mama meddling again. And of course it's too soon. We both need to heal from our past wounds. But what can you do?

But Vanessa has had a little taste of good things to come. She phones Beto and tells him Dad will buy them a great big apartment and lots of snazzy furniture when they tie the knot. He's not mollified.

Back to the truck and the street. The police have arrived and are threatening to have the truck towed if they don't move it. (grúa = tow truck) When they learn of the dramatic conditions inside said truck, they radio for help. In the meantime Marina anxiously wants to know who the baby looks like. (I think he's a dead ringer for Toribio. What about you?)

Damiana and Marina happily begin to hum a lullaby as the scene ends and the ads arrive.

MIRADA Episode #52

THE BUN IS OUT OF THE OVEN Part III

Hospital:
Beto meets the new and world famous plastic surgeon. Right now he's too busy in the Emergency room but he hopes to study with the surgeon in time, and is warmly welcomed. After famous doc walks off, Erick's dad asks Beto about his work. Beto fibs and says Erick is being very responsible. In fact he's probably with a patient right now.

Café:
Nopis. Erick is chatting up his latest potential conquest. He's fantasizing about leaving all this tiresome Saving Lives Work to noodle around in a little "palapa" (shelter)imbibing rum drinks, cooled by the ocean breeze, lulled by the rolling waves, and....moving in to to plant a kiss on the gal...is gently shrugged off. Okay, this fresa is not as dumb as she looks. Knows a bloviating neer-do-well when she sees one.

Hospital For Women:

Marina is holding a very healthy baby who appears to have been born at age 3 months. But who cares? He's adorable. And wailing to beat the band. I kept yelling at her to feed the poor babe before I remembered this is just a telenovela. Still, I hate to hear babies cry without seeing them instantly comforted.

Neighborhood:

Lino stops stalking Vanessa long enough to call Yola and tell her Marina's baby has been born. But warns her that Doc Obsession has eyes everywhere so if she and Dad want to come visit, they're going to have to make sure they're not followed.

Ranch:
Margarito asks Zack for permission to go see a relative who needs a hand. Zack is suspicious but says alright. But get back quickly. Later, we see an ominous shadow outside Margarito's home. It's Zack, checking to see who's home. Nobody. That does it. He's sure Margs and Yola are on their way to Mexico City. And he lets Doc Misery know.

House:
Damiana calls to give Angustias the good news. Who promptly tells Prudencia that she's a grandma. Beatific smiles all around.

MIRADA Episode #52

THE BUN IS OUT OF THE OVEN Part IV

Hospital:
Prudencia arrives. Damiana lets Marina know she's there. Wonderful maternal smiles and joy light up the sterile room. But Marina is still anxiously asking whom the baby resembles. Prudencia can't really remember what Beto looked like as a newborn. She was so exhausted and so distressed over the alleged death of her daughter. She really has no memory and therefore no reassurance. All she remembers is how don Luis was thrilled out of his mind to have a baby boy at last.

Bitter reaction from Marina who has no Beto with her to share the joy. Prudencia assures her they can work things out. No way, counters Marina. He's got his fiancée Vanessa now. Clearly they're very happy. And No! I don't want you to tell him! Prudencia gently begs to differ....Once he holds the baby in his arms, he'll know it's his. But jeez, if you could just have that little test...NO,NO,NO! Besides, I don't need no stinkin' Beto. I have all I need with this little baby. Prudencia wisely disregards this little berrinche, and over the hesitations of even Damiana, calls Beto and tells him that his son was just born.

Valle de Bravo
Doc Disgusting has hailed a cab and tells the driver to hightail it to Mexico City, fast enough to catch up to a blue truck headed in the same direction. Sure enough, they soon have Margarito's truck within sight and follow within a safe distance. Without being detected.

MIRADA Episode #52

THE BABY IS OUT OF THE OVEN Part V

Womens Hospital:
I just noticed there are no side rails up on Marina's bed. What if she falls asleep and the baby rolls out? Wait, wait, it's just a telenovela! Okay. Calming down here. Marina asks for a little coaching about nursing the baby since she doesn't want to drop it. And learns that the baby is very healthy, reacts to light and has a nice high APGAR score.

Beto's Hospital:
If the baby's score is high, Beto is rapidly losing points in my book. He abruptly hangs up on his mom when the nurse tells him there's an emergency in one of the rooms. Of course if Erick had been doing his job instead of trying to hustle Neti (finally learned her name), Beto would have been free to rush to Marina's side. He's cranky enough that he reams Erick out when the dolt finally shows up. "The patients need you!" he snaps. (If Erick hasn't realized this yet, it has to make you wonder. No?)
Still, Erick is not a complete imbecile. He's figured out that Beto is not in love with Vane and is still attached to Marina. And that Marina needs him now! Beto continues to sulk and kvetch about Marina's rejection, but Erick seems to be making headway.

Neighborhood:
Ana and her mom are gushing about the arrival of the baby and planning a little "vaquita" (couldn't find this in dictionary) to gather clothing and other necessities for the little fella.

House:
Susana, the Alcoholic Barnacle is home to greet don Luis. But where is his good wife Prudencia? Seems she and Angustias leave the house every day at the same time. Luis is enraged. Where's the chauffeur!? Bring him to me. I'm going to find out where they're going and whom they're meeting.

Women's Hospital:
Beto finally arrives and pretty much does everything wrong. He coolly notes that Marina looks lovely, but then reminds her that they need to do that "little test" to find out who's the baby daddy. Toribio knows a jerk when he sees one and wants to kick Beto out. So do I. So does Marina. She tells him to go marry Vanessa and quit bothering her. Oh you crazy kids! I'd like to thump both of you. So would Angustias. So would Prudencia. So would the Patio. One last shot: Marina tells Beto to go meet the wee babe. He'll understand then that the bebito is his.

Outside the Women's Hospital
Yola and Margarito pull up in the truck. Yola jumps out and rushes into the hospital. Doc Evil smiles...well...evilly...and there we end.
# # # #

Vocabulary is embedded. If I find out what "vaquita" means, I'll tell you later. Right now I just want to gnash my teeth. Hate it when people are stubborn and hurt each other for no reason. (It's just a story, just a story)

Well "vaquita" means porpoise. And that can't be right. I even looked up "baquita" thinking the closed caption lady got it wrong. But nothing there either. If anybody has an idea...let me know. Clearly it's a way for neighbors to band together and gather necessary stuff for a newborn. But what is the word they actually used for it?

FLOR
Ep 36: Part 1 Love Survives the Lies

Rose storms off after Marga tells her the wedding will be in 15 days.

Marga enters her bedroom to find Chile naked in her bed with only a rose in his mouth. Marga lays down beside him and they cuddle as Chile tells her he can’t live without her.

At the casino, Rose is at the bar drinking as Val watches her and refills her glass.

Marga welcomes Teo and Flor back into her home for dinner. She apologizes again for what she did and tells them that she is happy they will be getting married. As they wait for Rose, Marga wants to say a few words, but Rose barges in and asks Teo why he is getting married and why he has been sending her all the messages, Teo has no clue what she is talking about; so she shows the messages to Flor who, in turn, shows them to Teo. Teo swears that he never sent the messages; so Rose continues to show Flor the messages and points out that they came from Teo’s phone. Flor thinks Rose is playing her usual tricks, but Rose insists that Teo say the truth and stop messing around with both of them. After Teo responds that he won’t give an explanation because he doesn’t have one, he turns to Flor and tells her that she should know what her mother and Rose are capable of, but Flor just looks at him with doubt in her eyes; so Teo gets up and walks out. Flor goes after him while Val whispers to Rose that they are the “Dream Team” to which Rose reacts by flailing her arm as if shooing off a fly.

Flor catches up to Teo and asks why he left her alone without a logical explanation; she needs to trust him. Teo asks her to trust him because he has never given her reason to mistrust him. Flor remarks that everything has been and act, but Teo assures her it isn’t…he is NOT Val! When she insists that he explain the messages, Teo can’t. When he argues that they should trust each other unconditionally, Flor retorts that she trusted before and she didn’t bode well. Teo counters that he is not at fault for everything that happened to her and what others did to her. He is fed up with having to put up with what others did to her and thinks that this is not the time for them to be together since she has so many problems to resolve and understand. Teo cannot live with her dead husband who always seems to be present (Yeah, Teo, he actually is!). Flor apologizes for not being able to trust him unconditionally and still insists on an explanation. Teo points out that he has done everything possible for her all his life and she was not even able to back him up when they were inside. After Teo repeats that he cannot explain it, he walks away as Val tells him to keep on walking.

At Marga’s house, Rose is distraught as Marga tells her that if she hadn’t wasted her time threatening her, she would have helped Rose, especially with those messages who would drive anyone crazy in love. When Marga comments that something is just not right since Teo is not that type of man, Rose emphasizes that she knew they wouldn’t believe her…Marga keeps feeling sorry for Flor, but never for Rose who just wants to give a little bit of herself to Teo.

FLOR
Ep 36: Part 2 Love Survives the Lies

Flor comes back in and tells Marga that she just ended things with Teo so she should be happy. Marga argues that she loves Teo as her own son and she always knew that Flor had made the worst mistake of her life when she left Teo for Val…that only gave Teo time to establish a relationship with Rose. Flor walks out.

Chile is back at the funeral home as Val reminds him that he told him about Marga not being ill. Chile won’t listen to Val since he was responsible for Rose catching them. When Val tells Chile that his heart breaks seeing Flor so sad, Chile thinks it’s about time he felt bad…because he went too far. Chile wishes Val would go away!

Teo tells Oscar about what happened…he has done everything for Flor. Meanwhile, Rose cries her eyes out and calls Teo, but only gets his voicemail; so she leaves a message that she is sorry, but she was desperate. She thinks it’ll work out because they won’t have to pretend anymore…she needs to hear him. Teo listens to the message and shakes his head and returns with a voice message telling her that he doesn’t know what world she lives in, but he does not want to see her ever again and he doesn’t want her looking for him. He hopes she understands how much she has hurt him.

At her house, Flor recalls Teo’s sincere words about his feelings for her and Val’s lies. Outside, Val wishes he could be with Flor. He tries going inside, but slams into the invisible barrier.

Teo is packing his bags. Oscar knows he’s leaving because of Flor. Teo confirms that it is because of Flor just as everything else he has done was for Flor. Now he is making decisions thinking only of himself. When Oscar suggests that he talk things out with Flor, Teo thinks that his life with Flor was not meant to be. Val, who is listening, comments that that is war…you win some, you lose some.

Mariana arrives at Flor’s house with a magazine of wedding dresses. When she sees Flor crying, Flor tells her that there won’t be a wedding. Mariana tries to talk Flor into not giving up on Teo who is such a great man; she is almost sure that Teo is not responsible for the messages. Mariana thinks that Marga and Rose are behind it. When Mariana tells her to open her eyes or it’ll be too late, Flor tells her that she shouldn’t be one to be giving her advice since she also has her eyes closed about Aure who has been trying to make things right. Mariana leaves and tells Flor to do whatever the heck she wants since she will be the one to suffer the consequences

Oscar insists that Teo think about it some more, but Teo refuses and leaves since he is not good at saying good-byes.

Teo goes to talk to Rose and tells her that he cares nothing for her. He thought they were friends, but there isn’t even that. He isn’t sure that what she did was because of what happened between them, but that had no significance for him. He apologizes if he hurt her, but he was always honest with her. If she did all of this for revenge, then she got what she wanted…his relationship with Flor has ended. Before he leaves, Teo tells Rose that he NEVER wants to see her again.

FLOR
Ep 36: Part 3 Love Survives the Lies

Oscar goes to Flor and tells her that Teo, who has sacrificed much for her, is leaving. When For tells Oscar that she loves Teo, Oscar scoffs since she always seems to hurt Teo just when he is getting his hopes up...and each time is worse than the previous one. Before Oscar leaves, he tells Flor that Teo is leaving once more…because of her.

At the church, Elpi prays for guidance in what to do about his son. As he turns around, he sees Aure who is sitting looking very depressed and worried because he doesn’t know what is happening to his family...it’s like a curse has befallen them.

Xochitl asks Chile what she should do to bring her parents back together again. Chile advises that they don’t have to be together, but they should be united…because after all, her parents will always be her parents; and the most important thing is family. Xochitl thinks Chile gives good advice.

Flor runs after Oscar and asks where Teo went and how long ago he left.

Mariana is on the phone telling her attorney to go ahead with the divorce. She is willing to testify about Aure’s drinking, his abusive behavior and everything else he has done to her; she just wants to get her daughter back. To Mariana’s dismay, Xochitl is at the door hearing everything.

Aure tells Elpi about everything that is happening at Marga’s house and how his family is divided. He recalls how they were all together and so happy when his father was alive.

Mariana runs after Xochitl who tells her that she just wants to say and do bad things to her father. When Mariana explains that she just wants things to be well with them, Xochitl responds that that is what she wants too…that is why Xochitl went to ask Mariana not to involve cops and lawyers. After Mariana tells Xochitl that she is too young to understand, Xochitl gets frustrated because she is always told that…and there are some things she does understand…like Mariana turning into such a bad person. Xochitl then goes back to her father because she is happy with him.

Flor arrives at the bus station as Teo is about to get on the bus. She calls out to him and reminds him that they were in the same situation not too long ago; the only difference is that she was the one who was leaving. Flor apologizes for comparing him to Val…she doesn’t want to lose Teo and asks him to marry her. Teo accepts and they hug…as Val watches.

Time passes—

Oscarella is on the radio thanking his audience for all the letters they sent him with their problems. He then congratulates Teo and Flor who are getting married the next day.

Jovita advises Rose to give it up on Teo…if he is marrying Flor, he must love her. Rose still loves Teo with all her heart…if she can’t have Teo, no one else will.

FLOR

Rgv Chick, another amazing recap of what was surely a joy and angst ridden episode
.
My favorite line of many was “Teo cannot live with her dead husband who always seems to be present (Yeah, Teo, he actually is!)”. Loved it.

“Flor goes after him while Val whispers to Rose that they are the “Dream Team” to which Rose reacts by flailing her arm as if shooing off a fly” and “When Val tells Chile that his heart breaks seeing Flor so sad, Chile thinks it’s about time he felt bad…because he went too far. Chile wishes Val would go away!” were wonderful and spoke volumes. Hmmm. If only there was “Off” or “Begone” for ghosts!

“Marga enters her bedroom to find Chile naked in her bed with only a rose in his mouth”. Oh my, the visuals I’m conjuring up in my mind!!

“Xochitl thinks Chile gives good advice”. As do I. I wish the adults would sit down and discuss the situation calmly and rationally. I don’t think the couple should
reconcile but because there is a TN and Xochiti seems so set on it…grumble, grumble.

“When Mariana tells her to open her eyes or it’ll be too late, Flor tells her that she shouldn’t be one to be giving her advice since she also has her eyes closed about Aure who has been trying to make things right”. Ouch. Flor seldom is out of line but she certainly was here.

I’m glad Flor and Teo made up. And I don’t think he was acting petulantly or spitefully. Flor needed to realize who and what she was missing.

I wonder if they will make it down the aisle.

I am so sad to be missing this but seeing everything through your sharp and intelligent eyes is a blessing.

Another stellar title. Thank you!

Diana

MIRADA

Thank you, JudyB, for your recap and the vocabulary boost!

OMG you are spot on in the baby looking like Toribio, especially with that knitted cap.

Gah! Giving birth in the middle of the street in a slatted truck with ALL the onlookers. I would hate for them to see my lady bits birthing a baby. (I'm sure they would hate to see it, too. lol)

Beto still being' Beto.

I still think Doc Nut Job will kidnap Marina, or the baby, or both. (CrockPotTheory™ #13)

Will Don Louse melt whenever he sees that baby boy?

Seriously, does Susana think that once(if) those kids get married, Vanessa is going to ask Don L for, oh I don't know, maybe $8,000/mo USD to keep Susana in her designer clothing, booze, and style to which she is accustomed to living? Really??? That's a big chunk of change and just a guess on the $$$$$ amount, but..... seriously. Really? I'm just not seeing this happen.

Doris, as I remember childbirth, I would not have cared if the whole town of Bryn Mawr had walked in as I was giving birth. I just wanted to get that baby OUT! Focus is everything.

I'm with you than don Luis might actually melt now that he's the grandpa of a BOY. And so far, he seems immune to Chucha's attempts to seduce him. But who knows...these telenovela folks do astound us once in a while.

Anyway, in the meantime, I hope they get those slats up on Marina's hospital bed and that the little fella gets fed once in a while.

FLOR

Marga enters the bedroom to find Chile naked with only a rose in his mouth.

Jeez Louise! I’m not watching this but that sentence makes me wish I were! Thanks for putting a big smile on my face at the end of a long day (babysitting is exhausting when you’re almost 80)

Come to think of it, if you ever write “ Teo is naked with a rose in his mouth” I might seriously think about tuning in. Way to go Rgv Chick!

MIRADA

JudyB, thanks for another great & entertaining recap, and the vocabulary. I'm afraid I can't help with "vaquita" because "baby cow" doesn't seem like it would make sense in this context.   :-)

I've lost track of how many times I have said that Beto continues to disappoint, but he did it again. Except, to give him his due, he was right in telling off Erick, the guy should not leave patients uncared for so he can hit on some not-so-bimbo. So Erick is pretty disappointing as well.

Wow, that famous surgeon that Beto was so impressed with, where did he get that suit? I don't know of any Goodwill that would have accepted it. I don't usually pay that much attention to what the men wear, but that just jumped out at me. Did he forget his red nose? Or maybe Televisa was making a 1930's Mexican gangster movie at the same time as "Mirada" and just told one of the second string gangsters, "OK, now you're a big time surgeon, get over to stage B and act like a hot shot."

Anyway, I'm happy to see Marina had her baby and he's OK. I agree it could be that Don Louse will get sentimental now that there's a new male heir for his dynasty.

andy

JudyB, I missed this episode too. But happy about Jr making his arrival. Just Wish ol Two face's taxi had a flat tire. Or run off a cliff.

I'm glad for granny pru & granny dami.
Grampy Don lousey can go jump in live bee hive. All that phoney joy he and the Pushy barnical are displaying is enough to make baby beto throw up his
Gerber spinach and applesauce and poop
Out his oatmeal. Yuck. Yeah that's how
Disgusting these two people are. They
Will get theirs.

Lino Needs to realize that van is just
To messed up. He should go with the girl he knocked up(I forget her name. Ana? She Would be reliable. But his heart is into Vanesa, she wants moola, for moma. Not. Shes just stubborn like marina. And beto. Now we gotta go through all this pushin and shoving til the happily ever after comes, and which will be in 2 months? Whatever.

Don lousey wants to know where pru and
The MvP escape to. Well even if the baby hadn't come yet, who wants to stay in a house all day with those two narsisytic(<not sure I spelled that right)jerks?

Beto arrived and does everything wrong
Well look who raised him, the louse.

Thanks JudyB. You are good girl. Keep up the good work. Loves your recaps. I
Loves all the recappers recaps cuz now I know what these actors are saying.

Famous plastic surgeon, is he gonna fix the maska-naters/two face's face?
Good luck fillin in craters.

Real quick before bedtime..and before I forget :-)

"Hacer una vaquita" means to have a money collection/pool money together. I suppose the vaquita is similar to a piggy (bank)

Much more tomorrow!!

Thank you Judy B. Was sorry to come to end of your recap. Such fun!
Nina I think Famous Plastic Surgeon has been using his own skills. This actor was my favorite character in Refugio. So good to see old friends in such good form!
I must admit I cannot predict where this is headed.
Perhaps Lino will reject Vane for sweet Anita
I am glad so many are enjoying this day timer. Reminds me of one of my favorites, La Vecina
Mely

What fun to get up in the morning and read all your great comments. I get a kick out of you all.

Plus Rgv Chick is better than any dictionary. So yay Blog Mama! You're my hero this morning.

Andy--how interesting about the suit. I'm so busy taking notes, I often miss visuals. But in past telenovelas, Kirby often would get incensed over the poor sartorial choices of the male characters. I'll have to re-watch that part of the show and catch sight of the horror. You are dead on, of course when you say BETO CONTINUES TO DISAPPOINT. He sure does!

Nina, don't hold back girl! Love your alternatives for Doc Gruesome's taxi trip...a flat tire or running off a cliff. But only if the taxista could jump out to safety before hand. Don't even want to think about what a plastic surgeon could do for the Doc...as you said "good luck filling in those craters". As for spelling, without spellcheck I don't think I could even spell my name these days. Those neurons upstairs are getting sloppy.

Mely--Great to hear from you. I loved Refugio but don't remember that character. What role did he play? And we're all wishing Lino would reject Vane for sweet Ana but that's never how these things work. But maybe Erick, that complete waste of oxygen will fall for Ana and CHANGE FOR THE BETTER-- along with Vane, who at present is a total oxygen waster also. (but beautiful hair, gorgeous hair)

Well, off to babysit again. Good thing he's a totally adorable, sweet, brilliant toddler like Marina's little boy is going to be one day.

MIRADA

I just loved the title.

Judy, your vocabulary continues to be just stellar - especially "pamplinas" (nonsense) and "llegando a cuajar" (cuajar, a cooking term, means to jell, or come together".

"Gird your loins people, we're going to have our first ever born-in-a-truck scene" had me laughing out loud. Brimming with stellar lines.

Fabulous - just like you.

Diana

FLOR

"Come to think of it, if you ever write “ Teo is naked with a rose in his mouth” I might seriously think about tuning in. Way to go Rgv Chick!" had me chuckling and nodding in vigorous agreement. You are hot today Judy!

Rgv Chick, I've been thinking about yesterday's events. What will it take for Val and Rose to throw in the towel?? Who is going to realize it's futile first? I don't think there is going to be any miraculous realization on Rose's part that she is destroying lives. I'm glad Teo told her off and hope he offers her nothing but a cold shoulder from this point on.

Diana

MIRADA

That surgeon's suit was so gangster looking that it was cringe worthy. I barely saw the man's face, because my eyes kept going to that suit.
Could it be in fashion again? I remember Mark Tacher's shrunken suit in PATM, last year. Googling that proved it is a current look. And then our local weather guy started wearing one. So perhaps gangster suits are making a comeback. Often telenovela fashion is a little ahead of my area in the U.S.

MIRADA - OT
JudyB--You are fishing around for the great Humberto Elizondo, who was our bombastic Don Aquiles Trueba Tajonar in Un Refugio. He was an geezer of a certain age who thought he was younger and started the show kidnapping Luciana because he had a thing for her and wanted to marry her. He was given and extraordinary pueblo funeral when he finally kicked the bucket.

MIRADA

JudyB--Ahem, I've been up for hours, but just finished breakfast...

Thank you for the genuinely funny recap. I guess BIRTHING IN A TRUCK was meant for comic relief, though not for Marina. At least Marina had Damiana and not Prissy. I was so sure Marina was going to be taken to Beto's hospital and he would have delivered his baby himself. OTOH, if he HAD, he would have gotten the DNA test done and then, where would we be?

Loved your quip that the baby was the spitting image of Toribio.

As for realism, it went out the window, or out of the truck--no one cut an umbilical cord or delivered the placenta and the baby was clean as a whistle. And, I've never seen newborns in a hospital wrapped up in so many blankets. They aren't living in Alaska in January. The wee one did look about 3 mos. old.

What else can I say...BETO AND MARINA disappoint; ERIC disappoints; VANE disappoints; ZACRAT, true to form; DOC RIPPLE FACE, true to form; LUIS, true to form; SUSU, true to form; DR. ZAMUDIO'S SUIT, throwback (however, note that Roberto in PASL II has been wearing wide lapel, 3-piece gangster suits since PASL I)---well, why go on.

MIRADA

ANITA -"OTOH, if he HAD, he would have gotten the DNA test done and then, where would we be?"
Um....about three months ahead of the telenovela agony schedule. 😉

MIRADA
Doris--We must add this to our Caray Lexicon: TAS (TELENOVELA AGONY SCHEDULE)

TAS....definitely sounds like a government agency!

As for realism, I'm just as glad we didn't get to see the delivery of the placenta. In fact I could do without the gory scenes of docs digging out bullets also.

Well, back from babysitting and in 45 minutes we'll get to see how much more these characters can disappoint us!

"MIRADA":

Doris: Let me guess.... more disappointment ? UGH!

WTH is Maury Povich when you need the guy to do a DNA MIC DROP ?

Is there anyone on this Telenovela who has a brain of common sense ?

MIRADA

[commercials time]

Steve, "Is there anyone on this Telenovela who has a brain of common sense ?"

Maybe, but I can't think of one at the moment.

MIRADA Episode #53

DON LUIS HAS AN ITCH HE WANTS TO SCRATCH

Yep, right when you thought it couldn't get any worse--it did.

Don Luis..... Doris and I are VERY VERY UPSET WITH YOU RIGHT NOW. Maybe other folks are too. If you're redeemable, it's going to take a host of angels backing you up kid. But first let's talk about your adopted son. Because right now he's in Marina's hospital room behaving like a schlemiel. We'll get to your little number later.

Beto is still insisting on the blood test. Marina is still insisting that if he just holds the baby in his arms he will KNOW that it's his. But she bids him Go!!!! in the most vehement terms. She and the baby will be just fine without him. So he leaves. And she cries.

Hospital Waiting room:

Damiana is reassuring Prudencia and sidekick Angustias that she will let them know once Marina and baby get home. So we can't know your new address? queries Pru. Nopis. Security questions and all that. [Good thing since Doc Mask is lurking in the shadows, hoping to overhear that information.]

Hospital Nursery:

Beto is waiting outside to see and hold his alleged son. But while waiting, he thinks back to the wretched confrontation with Doc Mask--She likes my kisses better than yours, sneers the Doc. And when you caress her skin, you're going to find my fingerprints everywhere!"
That does it. When the nurses brings out the baby, the corridor is empty.

Hospital Corridor:

As Beto is stalking down the hallway, he runs into Lino who asks "Why are you here. Just to hurt Marina all over again?" "I came here to work things out with Marina," sniffs Beto, "but she rejected me again."
Nico then arrives and thinks he knows Beto. But wait, that's not it. He saw his picture in the paper. About his upcoming wedding with Vanessa.
Cara impactada de Lino.

Doctor's Office:

Wily Coyote Beto is making an end run. He's asking Marina's doc to do a blood test to see whether or not he's actually the father of his former wife's baby. Doc looks at him like Dude, that's so low. Seriously?

Marina's Hospital Room:

Prudencia and Angustias have finally gotten in to see her. She's still awash in tears and anguish, wailing that she never wants to see Alberto again in her life! Let him plot his future with Vanessa! The baby and I will be just fine without him!

Hospital Waiting Room:

Margarito and Yola are eagerly questioning Lino. How's work? Great. Just got a raise. And more vague and totally mendacious replies. Margarito sees Damiana and apologizes for coming empty-handed. Damiana replies that his presence is a gift in itself. Baldomero has a quiet fit of jealousy hearing this but Damiana brushes it off good-naturedly. (Thank God. We really didn't need any more hissy fits in this episode.)

Marina's Hospital Room:

Angustias and Prudencia are still hovering and regretting that Beto does not seem to have changed his mind about the baby. They were really hoping that when he held him in his arms...well, you know...

Hospital Nursery:

Yola and Lino are looking at the adorable baby except that actually Lino isn't. He's mulling the dreadful news that Vanessa and Beto are engaged again. Yola entreats him to come back to the ranch, but he insists he still has a few things to work out here in Mexico City. "Few things" meaning changing Vanessa's mind and carrying her off to a Paradise of Vacuum Seal Kisses. Meanwhile, Doc Dreadful has crept into a hospital gown room and is disguising himself as one of the hospital staff.

Hospital Nursery:

MIRADA Episode #53

DON LUIS HAS AN ITCH HE WANTS TO SCRATCH Part II

Marina's Hospital Room:

It's getting crowded in there. Prudencia, Angustias, Toribio, and now big ol Margarito. But boy is he a keeper! He leans in close and gently rumbles that the baby is so very lucky to have Marina as a mom. [that's it, I'm officially in love with Margarito. Damiana baby, keep your distance.]

Beto's Hospital:

Erick wants the 411 on Marina and the baby situation. Beto confides that he needs an official letter in order to get the blood tests done. "So do you want me to ask my dad to help you?" asks Erick."Use my influence?" Sure. Because Beto has his reasons. Doesn't want to abandon his son but doesn't want to raise the whelp of a man he loathes. So HE HAS TO KNOW.

Marina's Hospital Room:

Marina's filling in Yola on how she went into labor. Seeing the news of Beto's engagement to Vanessa dealt her such an emotional blow, the contractions started immediately. "Well Alberto does not deserve your tears," huffs Yola. But Marina still loves him in spite of all that. Go figure.
In comes the doctor to discuss "un asunto muy delicado". Marina says he can say anything in front of her friend. So he does and both Yola and Marina are outraged that Beto is still insisting on the blood test. But No. Just No. No way. Case closed.

Back at the House:

Itsy Bitsy Spider Chucha is busy spinning her web, and Luis is about to fall smack dab in it. Chuchypoo is asking whether he's found out Prudencia's daily destination. He says he thinks it's a restaurant where they often used to go. But nevertheless, it will be years before he forgives her the betrayal of his manly relationship domination. "Well, maybe she just doesn't care," insinuates Susana. "After all, she's an attractive woman. Maybe there's somebody else." Whoa! Step back. Storm clouds brewing.

Women's Hospital:

Margarito is taking tender leave of Damiana, sharing that he misses Marina and misses her. That lovely husky voice of his is making my toes tremble. And speaking of trembling, Doc Horrible has emerged from the uniform room disguised as staff and hiding his scars with a surgical mask. Creepy music in case you weren't already spooked.

MIRADA Episode#53

DON LUIS HAS AN ITCH HE WANTS TO SCRATCH Part III

Beto's Hospital:

Beto has struck out completely in getting a baby blood test. As well he should. Even Erick's dad won't help him since he never gets involved in personal matters. It might damage his fine reputation.

Women's Hospital:

Marina is picking up on the Evil Vibes of Doc Isauro. She doesn't feel safe in the hospital and wants to go home. And sure 'nough, Doc has crept into the nursery on the heels of a nurse and is trying to locate Marina's baby. Smart nurse knows immediately he's a bad guy and calls Security. Another Whew! Doc hides in the changing room though and eludes discovery. Marina's doctor is sorry she can't stay and get some rest in the hospital. But if she can't, he'll allow her to go home.

Back at the House:

Prudencia is musing that she doesn't know how much longer she can "mantener a flote" [keep it going] her marriage. She's sure not going to betray her daughter's confidence by telling Luis that the baby has been born. And no more info for Beto either!
In another room, Susana is making her move--consoling Luis with a tender hand laid on his and the suggestion that they go out to dinner. Alone. Vanessa is busy.

Beto's Hospital:

Back at the Ranch:

Zackrat is hectoring Margarito about being gone too long. He's going to have to dock him a whole day's pay. There's more antler bashing and when Zack scoots out and Margarito slams the door on him, he's suddenly gripped by a terrible back pain. "Bring me some water, Yola" he shrieks. Well it had better be Holy Water, he seems in real trouble.

Back at the House:

Prudencia and Angustias sweep in, blithering about the heavy traffic and how it slowed them down. Luis is not fooled. When Angustias tries to defend Pru, he roars "I'm talking to my wife. Not the animals!" "Now where were you? Going out with someone else?" He looms over Pru as he backs her down on the couch. Might be a sexy scene but it's not. Pru calmly tells him not to be silly. But the threats escalate. If she thinks she can just waltz off, forget it. He controls the money. Nopis, she has her parents' inheritance. Hah! All your money is in a joint account which is invested long term. I control the finances. And I control you!

Yessss, Vanessa IS busy. She's back being Beto's best friend and listening to his parental dilemma. He doesn't want to abandon son and doesn't want to hate an innocent baby. But dang, that kid of Marina's is the only blond in the nursery. That means it might be Doc Danger's!

Murky Restaurant:
Susana is getting bolder. As she strokes Luis' manly paw, she whispers "I don't know when it started...or how...But I felt so much admiration for you...respect...and then, well you know where this is going don't you?"
He does.
And moves in for some tentative, feeling-out-the-terrain butterfly kisses. Startin' off gentle but if I know my Luis...Well..

MIRADA Episode #53

DON LUIS HAS AN ITCH HE WANTS TO SCRATCH Part V

Murky Restaurant:

The kisses are ramping up a bit, but then Luis pauses, stricken by the fact that he's putting the moves on his best friend's wife. "Ya ya ya ya ya ya" dismisses Susana. He's dead. Been dead for years. I haven't been with anyone since then (Chucha code for I'M ON FIRE BABY!) Prudencia is not worthy of you. Life is over so fast. We need to live this while we can.
Still cautious, Luis asks what she's proposing exactly. "Oh, not that you leave Prudencia. But let us enjoy these moments..."
And Zass! He's on her like a June bug. Those kisses are so smash mouth her lipstick is smeared all over and she's got a bad case of razor burn. No matter! Now he's chewing his way up her arm. I'm beginning to think he's going to sweep off the wine glasses and nail her right on the table. HE'S A MAN WITH NEEDS, AFTER ALL. But Chucha is keeping her head. And her virtue for now. No, darlin' we're not going to go somewhere else. We're not going to arrive and leave separately. I have to go home now. My daughter's waiting for me. And off she sweeps, leaving Luis all a lather and probably unable to stand up for a while. My heart bleeds.

Let's wind this up and cool it down, shall we?

Vanessa has plugged her phone into a charger at the hospital and has heard from Lino that he wants to meet her and hear face to face the truth about her engagement.

Marina has arrived back home to find some lovely little decals pasted to the baby's wall. Ana and her mom also arrive to welcome the baby, hold him and wish them well. Because he's such an adorable baby...and so blond!

Blond!!!!????? Marina looks devastated. And mighty worried.

And there we end.

OTHER VOCABULARY

salir pitando = to be off like a shot, legging it [Taunts thrown back and forth between Margarito and Zackrat, as to who will be run off the ranch first]

Well I changed around the placement of some paragraphs and then forgot to delete the previous ones. So you've got some double entries. It gets complicated when you're typing the recap directly into the comments section. I need to find a different method.

But go with the flow, forgive the mistakes and enjoy. And get out the ice cream. It's been a rough ride!

FLOR
Ep 37: Part 1 Pre-Wedding Celebrations

Very busy day today; so I could only do highlights...here it goes...

Elpi advises Teo and Flor about having a happy marriage…one of the most important things is trusting each other. Teo thinks that is one of their strengths; and Flor adds that they love each other very much too. When Elpi asks Flor about her mother and Rose, Flor doesn’t think they will attend the wedding…and it’s probably for the best.

Marga and Chile have resumed their rendezvous at the funeral home. After Chile gives Marga a huge teddy bear, he mentions the wedding, but Marga isn’t going since Teo turned out to be a cheat and a liar. Chile tries to defend Teo; so Marga gets upset and leaves.

Tito (who has always had a thing for Flor) is distraught about Flor’s wedding. He wonders what he could possibly do to stop the wedding. As he walks along, Val throws a flyer in front of him. When Tito sees that it is an advertisement for strippers for hire; his pea brain starts churning and he contacts one of the strippers who is wearing large shades and a really fake bleached blond wig. Later he meets with the regular townsmen (including Teo) who are planning a bachelor party for Teo. Aure offers the casino as the site and others offer to bring food and drink.

Val goes to visit Chile who is preparing his special Chile for the party. Chile suggests that Val go look for his dead ancestors and leave the living to the living. Val watches as Chile leaves after putting the bowl of chili on the mixer…and Val pours something into it.

Flor is with her friends at Itza’s salo; they are giving themselves make-overs. They chitchat about how wonderful Teo is and get ready for the wedding shower.

The stripper Tito talked to is approached by Rose. She talks the stripper into letting her replace her at the bachelor party. She then goes to Jovita and conspires with her. Jovita is to go to Flor’s shower and be there from beginning to end. If Jovita sees that any of the women try to go to the bachelor party, she is to stop them at all costs.

Marga goes to see Teo and chides him for marrying Flor when he was trying to hook Rose with all those messages…though he may not care what she has to say. Teo remains calm, but steadfast; with all that has happened, he is willing to have a cordial relationship with her, but Marga is rigid and hopes he doesn’t make it to the wedding.

The ladies start their shower for Flor. Flor sees Rose and hopes she will stay for the shower, but Rose refuses. The ladies are having a grand ol’ time dancing and laughing when Nestor crashes in and orders Tere home. The other ladies speak up for Tere, so Nestor leaves with his tail between his legs.

Octi chides Aure for allowing the men to hold their party at the casino. Aure tells him that if he doesn’t like it, he can leave; so Octi calls Sami to tattle, but Sami remarks that she gave Aure permission. PUNTO!

FLOR
Ep 37: Part 2 Pre-Wedding Celebrations

Teo tries to talk Oscar into going to his bachelor party, but Oscar begs off because he has too many things to do.

Marga is at the church trying to restore a painting, but she can’t concentrate because she really wants to be at the shower. When Elpi approaches and asks why she doesn’t go to the shower, Marga doesn’t think she will be welcome.

The bachelor party starts with the men cheering and wearing huge colorful glasses. Teo asks that there be no strippers, but they all assure him that they won’t say a word to Flor. Tito goes to the stripper who is wearing a mask and makes sure she will be ready. The ladies chat about passionate beginnings after marriage; the men drink. The ladies paint their faces; the men drink. Elpi arrives to make sure that Teo doesn’t do anything dumb, but the men surround him and urge him to have some fun. Flor gets some sexy red lingerie from Mariana; the men drink…and Rose, in her disguise, is inside the huge bachelor cake drinking a whole bottle of tequila. As the ladies tease Flor about the lingerie and being with more than one man, Marga watches from the door and is tempted to join them…but she resists.

FLOR

Excellent Rgv Chick, though I'm a bit sad that the devilry here continues.

"Rose, in her disguise, is inside the huge bachelor cake drinking a whole bottle of tequila". Rose has absolutely no shame. How could she? She is even more horrible than I thought.

I loved Chile making Chile along with "Chile suggests that Val go look for his dead ancestors and leave the living to the living". Amen.

"Teo turned out to be a cheat and a liar." Try getting the facts Marga. Just the facts. Ack.

"Marga is rigid and hopes he doesn’t make it to the wedding". Stuck in stupid. Is there any hope for this useless mother/daughter duo??

Had I seen this, I would have been visibly cringing. Thanks to you, I was able to garner all the benefits without the penalty of watching people make fools of themselves.

Thank you for doing this despite your busy day Rgv Chick. I enjoyed every single word thanks to your marvelous writing.

Diana

MIRADA

Judy, you had me laughing right out of the gate...terrific title.

Some of my favorites included "schlemiel"; "itsy Bitsy Spider"; "Creepy music in case you weren't already spooked"; "mantener a flote" [keep it going]" and of course "Murky Restaurant".

But my hands down favorie was "I'm beginning to think he's going to sweep off the wine glasses and nail her right on the table. HE'S A MAN WITH NEEDS, AFTER ALL". Oh my.

Humor and great writing are a wonderful duo and you've merged the two perfectly.

Thank you!

Diana

The actor Eduardo Santamaria was really getting into the scene Diana. He’s very good at playing the commandeer. But Chucha was too slick for him. Our story is in the pits right now with pretty much everybody being their absolute worst selves. So thanks for the kind words. I’m smack dab out of ice cream. Will just have to console myself with a glass of water like Margarito.

JudyB – thank you for today’s recap. You were really in good form for this one. ;-)

Yes, Judy, you are right. I am not happy with Don Luis, at all, after holding out hope that he would stay faithful to Prudencia. Today he had me wanting to throw something at him on my TV screen. "I'm beginning to think he's going to sweep off the wine glasses and nail her right on the table. HE'S A MAN WITH NEEDS, AFTER ALL". is just priceless.

Okay, so, Friends With Benefits and not a full out affair. What total jerks nonetheless. Both of them. Well, it ain’t over ‘till it’s over and the fat lady “sings.” Here's to hoping he can't get it .... oh well, you know what I mean.

Doc Mask skulking around the hospital, eavesdropping, trying to kidnap the baby, going to Marina’s room all had me wanting to scream at my TV. THANK HEAVENS THE HOSPITAL HAS ALERT NURSES AND GOOD SECURITY PRACTICES …. so far. It's just a story... make-believe... but still...

Thank heaven's Marina's Spidey Sense kicked in and she got the heck out of dodge before Doc Nut Job got to her baby. Two of my three t'novela bingo cards have "kidnapping" but I would rather NOT have to check them off than see BSC Isauro steal this baby. Please, writers???

Note to Beto: The baby's bio-abuela (Pru) is blonde. Or did you forget?

It was really, really nice to see Damiana smiling when her peeps were gathered out in the hall of the hospital. It was a lovely change of countenance.

Damiana does have a nice smile Doris. And evidently is very attractive to the local talent around the ranch and cemetery.
And yes! Prudencia is a blonde so what’s all the sturm und drang on that one? But if Marina is worried she can always do a DNA test.
If the baby gets kidnapped I might have to bail. (Just kidding) But I’m still traumatized by Refugio where the baby was stolen and not found for 6 years. A nightmare of a story.
Don Luis will get no Christmas presents from me this year. Not even a card! What a disappointment. We’ll just have to pray for him to mend his ways Doris.

MIRADA

JudyB, I am in awe of your writing and your humor. I enjoy your recaps so much more than the actual episode. Thank you so much for this masterfully written recap.

Favorite lines are too many to list, but Diana has already listed some of them and I echo Doris in saying that "I'm beginning to think he's going to sweep off the wine glasses and nail her right on the table. HE'S A MAN WITH NEEDS, AFTER ALL" is just priceless. "

We all knew Don L would eventually be snared into Chuchipoop's web. I'm just hoping she is a "Black widow." I just want to know what happened to Don L's obsession about avoiding scandals--they were right smack in the middle of the restaurant!

Doris, that nurse deserves a raise!

FLOR

Diana, thank you!

It seems that Rose's and Val's devilry will never end. I think Val will give up when he finally accepts that he is DEAD and cannot be with Flor the way he wants to be. Or maybe he will actually see that Flor is happy with Teo and that whenever he intervenes, he just makes her feel really bad. I am really proud of Chile for keeping away from Val.

Rose is a total nutjob so I don't know how or if she will ever give up. The only thing I can think of is that maybe she'll meet someone who can grab her attention...or she'll do something really bad and end up in prison.

JudyB, girl this was a sizzeler. That scene with Donny penning pru to the sofa would have been so romantic if he wasn't such a jackass. I want to see the look on his face when he finds out hes a Granpa. Stupid grandpa.

Beto, stupid beto. Yo moma got blond hair stupid. Is he dumb or what? He standin there believing all that crap scarface Was tellin him. That is the name kirby gave him. Lol. Scarface.

Scarface was actually gonna try and steal the baby. Thank God for good nurses. So what was he gonna do if he

They've worn that topic out.

When Donny and pru were on the couch,
Who controls the money? Does he have her parents money or does she have it?
She started laughing, maybe he don't have as much control as he thought.
I love how she gets in his face and don't back down. I think he does too.
If he gets up he should have a pillow In Front of him. Hah!

I want marina to get her eyesight. Now!
Thank you JudyB what a fun recap!

MIRADA
Thank you Judy B. At least we could enjoy your fine writing today!
That restaurant scene was cringe worthy and hilarious at the same time. Full props to Don L for not going straight to Televisa U 101 face chewing kissing. Then he went to arm chewing instead. All main characters are behaving badly. Not much fun
When I first watched novellas I was amazed and horrified by how much trouble parents in Mexico had keeping track of their children. Still don’t like this recurring theme Or it’s twin, rape scenes
Mely

Thanks Steve, Rgv Chick, Nina and Mely. It's a treat to get up in the morning and read the wild and funny comments of our crazy patio. It's always party time here, isn't it?

Chickie...yes, good point about Luis' lusty behavior at the restaurant. This is NOT the way to avoid scandal. I still suspect that Santamaria is playing this for laughs and I'm enjoying his over-the-top performance.

Nina--Loved "let's dock this boat...it ain't sailin' out now or ever." You always crack me up. Still plan to meet you at the ice cream parlor one day. And I too thought the couch attack on Prudencia was kind of sexy. Too bad it deteriorated into financial threats. Evidently he has her money all tied up rather than Prudencia herself. More fun the other way.

Mely--You and me both on the rape and kidnapping themes in these. At first the only telenovela I could watch was La Fea Más Bella (and even it had some very cruel, humiliating scenes) but the other shows, with the horrid violence, sexual or otherwise, were too much. I have gradually developed a thin shield of "it's just a story" but still struggle at times. It helps, in this one, that Santamaria is playing don Luis with a smile and a wink most of the time. For now, anyway.

Have a great Thursday everybody. Before you know it, our favorite and not so favorite characters will be back on the screen behaving badly. BUT IT'S JUST A STORY!

"MIRADA":

Judy: While we're at it, let's get TJ Hooker, Vince Romano, Stacey Sheridan & Jim Corrigan on the case too.

MIRADA

Good point about Don L almost taking Susana there on the table and the irony of the other scandal he wishes to avoid. Double-standard is his middle name.

Hopefully Pru has some money tucked away IN HER OWN NAME, like any smart woman married to a jerk.

MIRADA

JudyB, this recap was simply great, thank you!

I had absolutely no choice but to laugh at Doc Mask walking around the hospital with nobody much noticing him, finding a way to dress himself in a cap, gown, and mask, and waltz in trying to find Marina's baby. The baby is blond? Didn't we see a baby with dark hair? Oh, whatever.

Anyway, it was nice to see a competent nurse foil Doc Mask's attempts, and also ethical doctors foiling Beto's attempt to get his secret paternity test. Beto dropped another notch in my estimation. I can understand his concern, but for a man who had a privileged upbringing, thanks to people who it turns out are not his biological parents, he sure doesn't show much compassion for the baby or for Marina.

So SuChucha Hotstuff wants to give Don L a little more line before reeling him in. Funny!

OTOH, I didn't see anything sexy or nice whatsoever in Don Louse's behavior with Prudence, seriously. Women! Tsk, tsk, tsk!

:-)

andy

MIRADA
JudyB--Terrific follow-up to Birthing a Baby in a Truck--Don L has an Itch. I wondered how long it would take for Don Louse to fall into Suspider's web. Gosh, it would serve him right for one of his business associates to catch him sucking spit (I do like Andy's Vacuum Sealed kisses) with someone not his wife. It can't be long now. The arrogant fool that he is, is treading on thin ice in his hurry to get his NEEDS taken care of. He must think he moves around the town inside an invisible cone.

Doesn't anyone think it odd that Susu is supposed to be Pru's BFF and they never go anywhere, spend time with each other, swap gossip? At some point, Pru has GOT to wake up and see that Susu spends more time with Don Louse than with her.

Am I the only one who feels a little sorry for Beto? He's said several times that based on what Doc Mask-ernator taunted him with regarding his "intimate" relations with Marina, Beto just can't get that image out of his head, as much as he loves Marina.

This is purely anectdotal, but this is why I sympathize with Beto for what he's going through. I personally knew someone who had been date raped and got pregnant. Based on her financial situation and family religious values, she had the baby. When I met her, her daughter was about 12. Her mother was mainly responsible for raising the child--they all lived together, though, mother, sister and several other children. This was her only child and she never married. She shared with me that every time she looked at her daughter, she saw her rapist's face. That's a heavy burden to bear. She needed counseling, I'm sure, but that was a long time ago and counseling was not as readily available for such cases.

BTW--I'm not absolutely sure, but in all my tn watching, I got the impression that when someone uses the term guero or guerito, it is also referring to skin tone and European features, as well as hair color (and personally, I think Pru's blondness comes out of a bottle). Marina has jumped to the conclusion that it's just the hair.

Thanks Andy and Anita. And Anita, what a heart-breaking story about your friend...and such a nightmare for her and the child, who was innocent of any wrongdoing. Oh my.

The term "guerito" seems to have so many permutations. I agree that it can just refer to lighter skin and European features. And I had a Palestinian friend who referred to anybody with brown hair and green or hazel eyes as "blond" because to her, dark-haired meant the really really dark hair, skin and eyes common to many Middle Eastern people.

When I think of blond, I think of wheat-colored hair, or Swedish blond. But clearly that's not how the term is used in Mexico.

Andy...loved Sochucha Hotstuff and Anita, equally loved Suspider. You both are verrrry creative!

I think of blonde the same way you do, Judy. When I see medium brown hair people referred to as blonde, my brain just fries.

Anita - from the get go, I have said Beto's problem with the horrific thought of raising Doc Mask's baby as his own, on top of Marina's spidey sense that the baby is Beto's with no other scientific proof. It would take a very special person to do that. (And there have been no magic moles or birthmarks inherited from Beto...that would be too simple. Thank you, writers. 🙄
Might be easier if it was a random faceless rape, but Doc half-face is just so awful, mental, sick in the head, addyourowntothelist. He walks among them and might even claim paternity rights. Ew.

OTOH, Beto also thinks Marina enjoyed the purported baby-making, per Doc Mask's lies, and it is just too much for the poor guy. Beto could fake making up with Marina and then dumping her if it turns out this is not his kid. But that is not his style. And it would be a really mean thing to do.

It is his doubt that Marina was taken against her will, and instead submitted herself to Maskanator, that is behind much of his distress, etc.

That's my CrockPot Theory.™️ 🤪

MIRADA

Anita, "Doesn't anyone think it odd that Susu is supposed to be Pru's BFF and they never go anywhere, spend time with each other, swap gossip? At some point, Pru has GOT to wake up and see that Susu spends more time with Don Louse than with her."

Don't count on it. In a household where guests stay for a year or so, don't work or go to school, or do much of anything other than drink heavily, little things get overlooked.   :-)

That was such a sad story about the woman date raped. I feel sorry for her and for her poor daughter. Life can be very hard and sad.

Perhaps this is why I prefer happy TNs, without too much drama, there is more than enough unhappiness to be found in real life. I have been reading newspaper articles about D-Day and looking at pictures, and it's all quite depressing even though it was a heroic event and marked the start of the end of the war.

andy

"MIRADA"

Doris: Beto is a JACKASS! Marina is better off with NOBODY at this point.
