Guests Toast the Bride and Groom As the Bride Gets Toasted

The wedding celebration continues with the smiling bride and groom toasting each other, Juanjo’s siblings and El Buho. Yameli stands alone not quite unobtrusively in her bright red dress. Wendy’s mother is effusive and loving. The newly united couple watch Yameli, Wendy with an already slightly arched eyebrow.

Charly acts like a love struck child getting a text from Yameli. She is incredible he tells Axel. A discussion ensues but a clear preference for Yameli over Diana is expressed. More selfies as Charly is being observed (by Tono?). At his apartment, Charly and Axel engage in a game of rock, paper, scissors as Axel the obvious loser (in more ways than one) answers the doorbell. It is Diana casting a wary eye around the new digs. After a few pleasantries, Charly asks what she wants. She asks about the future. We are over he tells her. After so many years Diana asks? It’s different he tells her - we aren’t happy. Diana does not take the rejection easily, clearly hurt and leaves. Although Yameli’s name isn’t mentioned, we know it is she who occupies Charly’s thoughts and is his reason for non-reconciliation.

Vanesa can’t escape Ruco. Her friend is not enamored and cautions her. Ruco acts like this is a game and he keeps pestering her. Meanwhile, Van’s friend is having a very hard time, lying on the bed, shaking and crying. Van takes him to task as he tries to quiet her.

Picture time and Wendy is slamming drinks back like a seasoned sailor. Ahh, Yameli joins the group for a photo, Wendy clearly inebriated. Yameli compliments her. Is Wendy’s camaraderie genuine or is she following the mantra of keeping your friends close and enemies closer?

Irma meets up with Erick and Serge. A kiss on the cheek is offered although it appears Erick would like more. Heads and tails are played and Erick/Pez Koi takes the mike. The performance is being streamed and Charly and Axel are watching. He sounds great and the studio audience applauds in appreciation. Next, Irma takes the mike and both Erick and Serge are transfixed. Have to admit, the girl can move and Shakira’s hips have nothing on her…

Erick and Serge reluctantly leave for the wedding as he gets a kiss on the cheek indicating Irma is a bit impressed herself. The friends are greeted warmly by Juanjo and Wendy but Erick asks for Yameli right away earning him a sour expression. Mother and son stroll and sit as Erick’s father texts Yameli sweet nothings. Erick confesses his crush. Next, “Papi” looks at an empty phone screen as Yameli has not answered him.

Diana meets with her lawyer. I gather she wants everything – including Luxor? Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Erick takes the mike and serenades the wedding guests as Yameli and Juanjo smile sweetly. Rather than taking a refreshing drink of water, Wendy is continuing to swill in her uncertainty. Wendy takes the mike and proceeds to thank Juanjo but alas, does not stop there. She starts dredging up the past and goes on a rant about the other, her good friend as Juanjo tries to silence her by kissing her. Unfortunately, her mouth is still running. Finally, El Buho to the rescue who grabs the mike and gets things back on track as Wendy’s mother leads her away. Yameli starts to leave as Juanjo protests. Yameli reiterates the wedding was not the time to tell Wendy the truth.

Yameli calls Charly and says she has to see him. Strange, Charly also starts drinking. Yameli is having that effect on people today, isn’t she? Charly rips off his arm cast and is accosted by Tono hiding in the back seat. We’ve seen this before, haven’t we??

Juanjo is spending his wedding night as his bride pukes her guts out. Charming. He offers her tea as she apologizes.

Tono has a gun pressed to Charly’s neck as Charly protests his innocence.

Did Tono say Monchis is alive? He gives Charly a piece of paper and says he has one more chance.

Diana

REINA

A few questions. As I noted in the last sentence, did Tono say Monchis is alive? I gather that is rhetorical but...

And, at the beginning of the ceremony, Wendy said something to Juanjo about his siblings. Was it something about her wanting to be alone with Juanjo or did I misinterpret that? It is not of paramount importance, but I would very much like to know.

Wendy should never have gone through with this. As she is clearly miserable on her wedding night, there is no hope for them.

If there is anything else important I missed, please fill in.

Thanks and sleep well!

Diana

REINA-SOY

Diana, simply divine! Loved the title and re-visiting the episode through your eyes is always a delight.

I really thought Wendy had taken the news about Yameli quite well; she even commented to Juanjo that she felt sorry for Yameli because she was all alone, but the tequila really brought out her true feelings.

Vanesa is quite smart and it seems that her therapy helped her see how bad her decisions were. Paola, her friend, was having the shakes because she took half of a pill...that Ruco gave her. Vanesa figured it out and went and told off Ruco...and added that she wanted nothing to do with him. Yay, Vanesa! There is hope for her.

When Yameli and Erick were talking and Yameli got the text from Charly, she actually did respond with a very short "Not tonight." Haha! Charly was not happy; he's used to women jumping when he calls on them and wonders if Yameli thinks she is her own boss. Seriously, dude?

"Diana meets with her lawyer. I gather she wants everything – including Luxor?" YUP!! She wants E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!!

Yameli called Zaria and told her she needed to see her and had something very important to tell her. Hmmm, I wonder which secret she will reveal...

At the beginning of the reception, Wendy mother mentioned how she was going to spoil them while she stayed with them..OOPS Wendy forgot to mention to Juanjo that Mom was staying with them. ANd then Wendy wondered if Juanjo's siblings had to come over so often; with Mom there, it'll get too crowded. Juanjo didn't seem to keen on no thaving his siblings over as often, bu the opted to discuss it later with Wendy so that they could enjoy the reception.

"Juanjo is spending his wedding night as his bride pukes her guts out." Good grief! How unromantic was that! I know the couple has been living together, but couldn't they have planned on a romantic night together with Wendy wearing lingerie rather than pj's??

Tono told Charly that Monchis had ordered to kill him and he was planning on doing it, but now someone has to run the business. Tono knows Charly will never "wear the pants his uncle wore", but Monchis's business associates will only want to deal with the family heir which would be Charly. Tono told Charly to call him when he was ready to "wear the pants."

Good night--more tomorrow..zzzzzzzz

Thank you Rgv Chick! You have given me so much to contemplate!

First, I am shocked that Monchis is actually dead. And of course asking Charly, a boy to do a man's job is ridiculous. But then, I seem to remember a young, trusting Michael Corleone (Godfather) and we all know how that turned out! I'm stubbornly digging in my heels and staying with my hunch that Monchis is alive somewhere. The big secret that Erick is Charly and Yameli's son must be revealed and while Tono does know it, it would be a letdown coming from him.

So, Juanjo's sibs don't actually live with them but are ever present. Naturally not having them around would be upsetting to Juanjo, he was the one who raised them. Wendy needs to get with the program or leave.

Loved your insightful "I really thought Wendy had taken the news about Yameli quite well; she even commented to Juanjo that she felt sorry for Yameli because she was all alone, but the tequila really brought out her true feelings". Yes, perfect!!

I really don't like the word "puke" but I felt it was the only appropriate word to describe the scene. This brand new union is not starting on a good note.

Perhaps it's Lambda Garcia's slightly forlorn confused look but there are a few instances when I actually feel a bit sorry. I know I shouldn't and it is mere seconds before I'm scowling at him again.

Oh and when they were standing side by side at his wedding, I really saw and felt an incredible attraction between the two. It was just the wrong bride.

Thank you for adding such important information Rgv Chick. You are the best.

Diana

And I mean when Juanjo and Yameli were standing side by side.

Diana

"REINA":

I'm assuming Wendy got wasted ?

reina-soy

Thank you, Diana, Rgv Chick.

So, the mother-in-law is going to stay with the newly married couple. There must be a joke about it on the internet.

When Diana came over, there was a chance for Charly if not to reconcile, but at least to be civil in the separation. But it ended in another fight.

When watching Eric sing, Axel complimented him and suggested Charly to have a concert together. But Charly said that in the family he is the only singer.

Good Morning, Patio!

Diana, "when they were standing side by side at his wedding, I really saw and felt an incredible attraction between the two. It was just the wrong bride." This was when Erick was singing his new song about an impossible love (poor choice, if you ask me, but then Erick doesn't know about Juanjo's and Yameli's history;so he is excused). The attraction was definitely there, but IMO, Juanjo's attraction was so much more obvious and Wendy saw it; this was probably what pushed her off the edge and onto the stage to make her speech.

Lucio, thanks for adding those details. Charly was so cold and heartless toward Diana. It must have taken a lot of pride-swallowing for Diana to try to reconcile and Charly completely squashed any hopes she may have had without blinking an eye. I hope her lawyer succeeds in taking everything from Charly.

If Kirby had been watching this episode, I'm sure he would have commented on how Erick was mesmerized and hypnotized by Irma and her bobbing balloons. Kirby, you lurking out there?? :-)

REINA

Lucio, thank you! Yes, I say laughingly, I can't think of anything better than to have mother moving in with the couple already having major issues. :)

I'm trying to think of any TN couple married in the church who divorced. I can't think of one instance. It always seem to be death that separates the couple. No spoiler. That said, if Wendy were to die, I can see Juanjo and Yameli getting together even less than I can now.

Lucio, I did think Axel suggested something to Charly but didn't quite catch it. Too bad Charly is making (another) bad decision. He should be holding onto Erick for dear life to revive his career and get the revenue stream flowing again.

Rgv Chick, I got the definite feeling Yameli is trying to restrain herself. She knows she's too late and is trying to do the right thing. Yes, you are so right about Juanjo! He is immersed in quick sand, sinking faster every moment.

I miss Kirby a lot. I've seen one or two comments from him on Mirada and am sorry he isn't here with us.

Diana

REINA-SOY

I've been thinking--we always comment on the call of the blood between Yameli and Erick (which is more obvious in EriCk IMHO), but what about the call of the blood between Charly and Erick...there is NADA there! The only two that have really connected are Vanessa and Erick who think they are only uncle and niece, but are actually half-siblings.

Diana, I'm not too sure I want to see Yameli end up with Juanjo anymore; he's too much of a wimp for her. Can we have Jack come back?

REINA

Now you're talkin' Rgv Chick!! While I admit to liking Juanjo a bit more than I had, I totally agree that her spine is stiffer than his. Jack challenged Yameli and made her think, which I really liked. Juanjo quietly disapproves. I would rather battle it out passionately than be disapproved of with few words.

Yes, no call of the blood between Charly and Erick at all! And one of the times I have a bit of pity for Charly is when I realize he's missed out on so much with his son living right under his nose. Perhaps it's best as Charly is NOT a good influence. What concerns me a bit is that Juanjo and Erick have really hit it off. Makes me a bit uncomfortable as that makes me think they and Yameli will make the family three.

Diana

Thanks so much , Diana, for that well written recap.

Thanks also to Chickie and Lucio for filling in some details.

Getting drunk at your wedding and giving a speech that made everyone there feel awkward...yikes. And instead of lingerie and a romantic noche de boda , you get old jammies and a hangover. Proof positive that Wendy knows this marriage never should have happened.

Where are you kirby? This is a good one. We miss you.

Diana: What happened to Kirby ? Did he disappear again ?

I tried to email him on the latest on this Telenovela, but haven't heard back.

REINA

Susanlnn, is that you above? Yes, "old jammies" - good one!

And to you and Steve, I hope Kirby reads these comments and sees that we all miss him. Steve, I suspect Kirby is very busy but am hoping he will surface soon.

Diana

REINA

Finally got a chance to see this (after catching up on laundry and grocery shopping, bills etc.--the detritus of 10 days away from home).

Love love love the title Diana! And this:

"Picture time and Wendy is slamming drinks back like a seasoned sailor."

I still feel sorry for Wendy and also, like you, sometimes briefly feel a bit sorry for Charly, dolt that he is. He has no "center" so when things don't go his way, he is truly lost and without emotional resources.

And while I sympathize with Diana, I don't think she should get EVERYTHING Charly has. A 50/50 split seems fair. However, by the time this ends, that may be a 50/50 split of nothing.

Yes, all our Patios seem a bit scant this Summer. People are traveling and there are a ton of shows being covered, without folks having the time to watch all of them and comment. So it goes. But we do miss our scamp Kirby.

Happy Tuesday everybody. Reina is about to start now, but I'm already fading fast. Thanks Diana. Amazing what you pick up, but I was also glad that you got a lot of songs going on in this episode.

REINA-SOY
Ep 38: Part 1 Dealing in Desperation

Yamelu meets with Zaria and explains that they have two objectives—one is to sabotage Charly’s concert and the other is to promote Pez Koi. Yameli wants Charly’s fans to leave him and become Pez Koi’s fans. Zaria likes the idea. Yameli continues that they need to discredit Charly; so she brought info about Charly’s last concert which had no ticket sales. She expects any possible sponsors to turn down Charly so that he will have to use his own money to fund his concert.

Charly is at Lidia’s place and wants to talk to Erick. Charly tells Erick that now that Monchis is dead, Charly wants the family to be more united and set their differences aside. He suggests to Erick that they have a concert together. Erick is excited and loves the idea, but he has to discuss it with Juanjo before agreeing to anything.

Wendy goes to see Yameli at her office; she wants to apologize for everything she said at her wedding… she is very ashamed. Yameli tells her not to worry about it. When Wendy mentions that Juanjo told her why Yameli can’t be called by her real name, Yameli tells her to keep her voice down because someone could hear. Wendy then tells Yameli that she can count on her and Juanjo for anything she needs, but Yameil tells her that she doesn’t want Wendy to become involved; in fact, Yameli promises that she won’t involve Juanjo in her schemes anymore.

As Wendy leaves, Charly approaches and congratulates Wendy on her wedding. When he asks about a honeymoon, Wendy tells him it will have to wait because Juanjo has to promote Erick. Charly and Yameli go to his office. Charly is expecting some nookie, but Yameli turns him down because he is still married. When she asks if Charly talked to Erick, Charly shares that Erick was very excited about having a concert with him; so Yameli remarks that she will need to go talk to Juanjo.

At Juanjo’s studio, Juanjo asks Yameli if Wendy went to talk to her. After Yameli confirms that Wendy did talk to her, she tells Juanjo about the concert Charly wants to have with Erick. Juanjo doesn’t like the idea because Charly has had so many scandals…it wouldn’t benefit Erick. Yameli thinks Juanjo is letting his feelings get in the way, but Juanjo insists that he is only thinking of Erick who Yameli seems to want to use. Juanjo then adds that if Charly is serious about the concert, he will agree to it, but only if they go 50/50 (Erick and Charly would spend equal time on the stage). Yameli doesn’t think Charly will agree to it, but Juanjo argues that it would probably hurt Erick to have a concert with Charly.

At Luxor, Charly is having a meeting with some of his staff when Diana struts in like she owns half of the place (which she really does). Charly tries to get her to leave, but Diana tells him that she is staying; if Charly has a problem with it, he can talk to her lawyer. She sits herself down and takes over the meeting. After telling them what needs to be done to discredit what Zaria has written (which Chary had no clue about), Diana gets up and tells Charly that she will meet him in his office.

At the rehab center, Lisa tells the group that they can make one call to whomever they want and invite them to come spend some time with them. Ruco laughs about it and tells Vanessa that he can only call his dog…but Vanesa knows he doesn’t have a dog. Vanesa doesn’t know yet who she will call.

REINA-SOY
Ep 38: Part 2 Dealing in Desperation

At Charly’s office, Diana demands that Charly not be rude to her in front of the employees. Charly can have as many fits as he wants, but half of Luxor is hers and he will not be able to get her out. When Charly tells her that she can have the house in Miami, Diana retorts that she doesn’t care about the houses; she will keep Luxor because half of it is hers. As they argue, Yameli approaches and listens through the door as Diana tells Charly that she knows that he must have another woman and she is going to find out who it is. After Diana goes to her office, Yameli follows her and asks what all the yelling was about. Before saying anything, Diana wants Yameli to assure her that she is on her side, so Yameli tells her that she will always be on her side. Diana then confides that she suspects Charly has another woman and she wants Yameli to help her find out who it is. Yameli doesn’t think Charly has someone else since he is always working, but agrees to investigate.

Erick goes to tell Juanjo about doing a concert with Charly. Juanjo explains that Yameli was already there and he did not agree to it. When Erick insists that he wants to do the concert, Juanjo reminds him that they have a contract…since Juanjo is Erick’s manager, what Juanjo says, goes. As Erick leaves, Vanesa calls him and invites him to go see her. When she tells her that she is in rehab, Erick is surprised, but will be glad to go see her.

Yameli advises Charly that he needs to get his lawyer involved to control Diana. When Charly brings up Zaria’s article, he asks why Yameli hadn’t told him about it. Yameli reminds him that she is there to organize concerts; she doesn’t have time to be monitoring the internet. Yameli then tells Charly that Juanjo would not agree to the concert unless Charly and Erick go in 50/50. Charly rants about how he is the star and refuses to agree to anything else. After Yameli tells him that he will have to negotiate with Juanjo, they call Juanjo who won’t concede; so they make plans to go meet with Juanjo.

Erick goes to see Vanesa at the rehab center. She confides that she is there because she messed up royally and didn’t consider the consequences of her actions. The important thing is that she is there and she is doing much better. Erick knows that Vanesa is strong and will get through it successfully. He tells her that she can count on him for whatever she needs…and he loves her.

Charly and Yameli go meet with Juanjo who insists on 50/50 or no deal. When Charly argues, Juanjo thinks 70/30 would be much better. Charly likes the sound of that until Juanjo clarifies that Erick would be getting the 70% and Charly the 30%. Juanjo has his reasons for insisting on the percentage since he has learned from experience that Charly is a cheat. They get into it about the past and how Charly stole Yameli’s songs until Yameli gets between them and reminds them that they are there to negotiate a deal. They finally agree on 60/40. As they leave, Charly calls Yameli “amor” so Yameli reminds him that they are supposed to keep their relationship under wraps to avoid gossip.

Yameli meets with some sponsors who don’t want to be associated with Charly because of all the scandals and bad publicity Charly has had…and because ticket sales for his last concert was a bust. As they leave, Yameli smiles in satisfaction.

REINA-SOY
Ep 38: Part 3 Dealing in Desperation

Yameli tells Charly that the only way he will be able to set up the concert is to use his own money since she hasn’t been able to get anyone to sponsor him. Charly will talk to some of his buddies who owe him some money. After Charly leaves, Yameli calls Zaria and tells her that the first part of the plan was a success; they need to start on the second part which is to do a massive promotion of Pez Koi so that the concert will be attended solely by those who support Pez Koi. They will hit Charly where it hurts him most—his ego.

Charly gets Axel to call a former sponsor, but Axel doesn’t have much success. Charly sighs deeply and must resort to his last option…he calls Toño and tells him that he will go ahead and go in to what Toño suggested. After Charly hangs up, Axel wonders if Charly was able to get a sponsor just like that; Charly responds, “Something like that.”

Juanjo goes to see Yameli at her apartment. He wonders if she is still angry with him. Yameli points out that Juanjo almost messed up Erick’s opportunity to have a concert; he was letting his anger get in the way. When Juanjo remarks that he can’t be a fake and won’t play that game, she tells him that he won’t have to pretend anymore or get into any game; she promised Wendy that she would no longer involve him in her schemes against Charly. Juanjo doesn’t like the fact that Charly treats her as if she is his lover…he thinks that Charly is dangerous. Juanjo worries that Charly probably learned a lot from Monchis. Yameli hopes that Charly did learn from Monchis and uses those tactics so that she can catch him and send him off to jail. Juanjo wishes her luck and leaves.

Axel chides Charly for agreeing to meet with Toño, but Charly has no other option…he needs the money. Toño arrives and tells Charly that Don Edgar has 800 thousand dollars that belonged to Monchis; Charly will have to accompany him to go pick it up. When Charly adds that he wants his portion of the money so that he can launder it at the concert, Toño thinks that he is exactly like his uncle.

Juanjo gets home to find Wendy serving them some drinks. When Wendy tells Juanjo that she got a hotel room in Tulum for them for the next weekend, Juanjo tells her he can’t because he has Erick’s and Charly’s concert that weekend. Juanjo asks her to change the reservation for the next weekend, but Wendy thinks that Juanjo will probably have something to do that weekend too. She thought they would at least have weekends together, but she sees that everything else is more important than her. Juanjo asks her to try to understand him; the concert is very important to him since it is his opportunity to be recognized as a music producer and manager. Wendy puts on her sour face and assures him that she won’t be interfering with his concerts anymore.

REINA

“Dealing in Desperation” could not have been more fitting Rgv Chick! Your level of detail is extraordinary and your ebb and flow was smooth as silk. Your conversation translations were so helpful in filling in what I (frustratingly) missed.

“Diana struts in like she owns half of the place (which she really does)” was my hands down favorite. You could feel everyone’s eyes in the “board room” on her. She made Charly look like such a fool! Yet, he hardly needs any assistance in that department, does he?

“They will hit Charly where it hurts him most—his ego”. Loved the 30/70 concert split – in Erick’s favor. Guess Juanjo is a bit shrewder than I gave him credit for.

“Yameli turns him down because he is still married” had me shaking my head. That didn’t stop her from the initial tryst did it? Guess her plan was to give him a taste and then leave him wanting more.

I admit, I squirm just a bit when I see Yameli’s gleeful smile as her plans are taking shape and enacted. I would feel entirely different, rooting her on with glee and gusto if it were Monchis she is setting up. I just don’t care for the repercussions of others (unlikeable true but not entirely deserving) who are being hurt.

Things took a bit of a turn when Charly called Tono and made the deal. He is on a downward spiral of epic proportions.

How ironic that Diana is enlisting Yameli’s help in finding the “other woman”. The old adage that sometimes the truth is right in front of you applies here. Again, Diana is not a nice person and that uncomfortable feeling arose again.

Give Wendy credit for trying to make amends. I can’t imagine a more unenviable position! And, she knows the deal – Juanjo needs to make his name and business has to come first at the moment. I wish she could put her disappointment aside and try and encourage Juanjo. The last thing he needs is any excuse that would make him start pining for Yameli (which he likely is doing subconsciously anyway).
“Wendy puts on her sour face and assures him that she won’t be interfering with his concerts anymore”. Straight sigh…

Judy, thank you for your kind words about Monday’s recap. So happy to have you back!!

Rgv Chick, thank you for another incredible summary. I loved every single word…

Diana

Chickie, thank you so much. I loved all the details. I was the anonymous you pointed out. I don't know that happens. I type in my name, but sometimes it doesn't work.

Diana and Chickie, I always love your titles. Disna, I especially loved yours from yesterday ...the toast and the toasted bride.

It was foolish for Juanjo to marry Wendy, but then I remember how he lovingly cared for his younger siblings, and I think that he is a goodhearted guy. He just couldn't summon up the tough love to admit to Wendy that he has always and still is in love with Yami. There is no way this is going to end well for Wendy. ...I don't think that she will divorce him, so perhaps Wendy will not survive this show.I don't think that we will see Jack again.

Yes, Charly is sliding fast down a slippery slope. It is disturbing to see Yami so tickled ever time she turns the tides against Charly. She doesn't seem to realize what her revenge plan is doing to her.

The shining light in this show is Erich. This young actor made me dislike him as young Charly and now love him as Erich. What a talented kid...acts...sings. I think that the perpetual hoodie was the attempt to try to hide the fact from viewers that the same actor was playing both Charly and Erick.

Who knows that Erick is the son of Yami and Charly. Does Tono know? Is Monchis really dead? If he isnt, did he bribe someone at the hospital to take his death ?

Welcome back, judyb. I missed you and your wise words. I usually find some good advice in every one of your comments. Today , you reminded me that one must have a strong "center."

Kirby, are you lurking here? Come join us. It is a good show.

I wonder how Doris is doing. I haven't seen her in the patio in awhile, but I have only been checking these recaps. I

Doris, I am thinking about you .

REINA

Susanlynn, just so you know, doris has been asking about you over on the Mirada blog. You are missed there! And it's wonderful to have our Judy back isn't it?

In answer to your question about who knows Erick is Yami and Charly's son, the only 2 who seem to know for certain are Tono and Monchis. Rgv Chick will (gently) correct me if I am wrong.

And I've mirrored your thoughts about Wendy - I completely agree that it's very uncertain if she will survive.

And Juanjo certainly did "lovingly care for his younger siblings" as you pointed out. He is a kind person although I think Yameli is much stronger and therein lies the problem.

Polo Morin is fantastic - totally agree.

Diana

reina-soy

Thank you, Rgv Chick.

I am glad Juanjo is Eric's manager. He is going to protect him from both Charly and Yamelí. Both would use him for their gain with little regard for what is good for him and Juanjo knows it. Good job of getting 60% for Eric in the concert.

Good morning Rgv Chick. Had to laugh. The phrase I picked as my favorite was also Diana's. Sometimes I think we really do share a brain...

"At Luxor, Charly is having a meeting with some of his staff when Diana struts in like she owns half of the place (which she really does)"

I loved that scene because, while Diana is not my favorite person, she has been mistreated and dissed by Charly like so many others, and I like seeing her fight back directly. Charly's many chickens are coming home to roost.

And good morning Susanlynn. A lot of us old Mi Marido Tiene Mas Familia are hanging out together on the Mirada patio. In fact I have gone back to recapping the show as a way to try and keep my old brain from further atrophy. Pulling together a recap is a bit reminiscent of writing a very short term paper. You have to organize your thoughts and impressions and try to make them into a coherent whole. Good for the neurons.

Hope everybody has a good day and a great Fourth of July. Have to head out to the grocery store now for some supplies.

Thanks so much Rgv Chick for another fine recap. Don't know how you do it, but sure appreciate your energy and stamina at keeping CarayCaray running.

Diana and Judyb, thanks for the information about Doris and others. I have been busy lately taking care of my many new responsibilities. I am only watching and reading recaps for Reina Soy,but I want everyone to know that caray helps me keep on keeping on. This is a wonderful, supportive , caring community.

Ot..lately I have been getting to go calls with called ID with my name a phone number...several a day. These robocalls are so annoying.

Were Wendy and Yameli really friends? Seems like Wendy didn't care much for Yameli once she went into the slammer. Wendy probably envied her since they were young. She also has little regard for Juanjo's ambitions. She knows the wedding is all a fake. Why marry someone who clearly loves someone else, and always had? She set herself up to be plato de segunda mesa her whole life.

REINA-SOY

It's been a long, busy day, but finally got here. Thank you everyone for your kind reviews and insightful comments.

Diana, "I squirm just a bit when I see Yameli’s gleeful smile as her plans are taking shape and enacted." I know exactly how you feel; and I agree with Susanlynn....Yameli doesn't seem to know or care what this is doing to her. She is so focused on revenge that she is completely ignoring who she really is and the good values her parents taught her.

Susanlynn, "perhaps Wendy will not survive this show." You make a good point, but I just can't see Yameli and Juanjo ending up together...that relationship seems one-sided to me.

Lucio, "I am glad Juanjo is Eric's manager. He is going to protect him from both Charly and Yamelí. Both would use him for their gain with little regard for what is good for him and Juanjo knows it." I was pleasantly surprised that Juanjo stood his ground on this; and disappointed that Yameli would insist on using Erick to her benefit. Now if Juanjo could only drum up that same courage to be honest with Wendy.

JudyB, I liked that scene with Diana too...and I cheered her on when she made Charly look like a total, and ignorant, fool.

Anon 2:31, I think that Wendy and Yameli were friends in their younger years. At the beginning, Wendy wasn't too jealous of Yameli since Yameli only had eyes for Charly. I think Wendy's jealousy and resentment toward Yameli grew throughout the years since Juanjo never got over Yameli...and he only proposed to Wendy after he thought Yameli was dead. "She set herself up to be plato de segunda mesa her whole life." Yes indeed!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO EVERYONE!!

"REINA":

RGV Chick: I do NOT see a happy ending for anyone!

You're right about Wendy not being long for this world.

Bold Prediction: she'll be DEAD before Ultimos Capitulos.
