Ozan and Zeynep show up at the door and tell Nihan’s family that they’re married. Vildan has a fit and does not accept the marriage. Zeynep continues to give everyone the bloated pompous face. Emir is shocked. Out of earshot to everyone else, Zeynep lets Emir know that this is the beginning of her revenge.

Kemal shows up and forcefully takes Zeynep to his car. He threatens Ozan to forget his sister or else, but Nihan stands in between them and tells Kemal he will not do anything while she is still there. Kemal stares her down, and eventually leaves.

Once inside the home, Nihan is worried about Ozan’s health and reminds him to take his medicine, but he’s not having it. Emir correctly guesses that Zeynep faked a potential suicide event. Ozan didn’t want to admit it.

Ozan berates his father. He claims he will not be like Onder, married to someone he doesn’t love. He tells his parents to divorce, so that everyone could be happy. He jabs Emir and Nihan’s marriage next. “Why are they married? Oh yeah, for my sake. Stay married then” he ironically proclaims. Ozan asks why is Emir still married to Nihan knowing she doesn’t love him? He threatens the family that they’ll never see him again if they don’t accept his marriage.

At home, Zeynep gets a slap from her father. Everyone is attempting to get her to annul the marriage. She begs to be allowed to leave the house, but they all don’t want her to go. Zeynep has the final word and tells them she will leave, she needs to leave as she is now Ozan’s wife. Her father looks her in the eye and tells her she’s an embarrassment to him.

Ozan comes in a taxi to take his wife. Kemal begs her to stay, but Hussein tells him to let her go. She leaves, but not before asking to be forgiven. Hussein proclaims that from this day forward, he only has two sons, and he wants her to remember that well.

Nihan asks Emir if he has something to do with the surprise marriage. Emir tells her no, nothing happened between him and Zeynep, but he likes that he finally has his wife’s attention. He tells Nihan that if Zeynep enters the home and discovers everything about he family, Emir will have no other option than to get rid of Ozan. Emir leaves the room and immediately calls his blond worker, tells him to investigate everything about Zeynep and Ozan.



 

The newlyweds are at the waterfront, sitting on a bench. Ozan tells her they will have to go to a hotel. Zeynep asks Ozan if they could just go live on a summer home property that belongs to the family. That’s when Ozan begins to tell her that the Asemcades don’t own any property, and that Emir is the one who owns most of the company shares. Zeynep says it’s fine, she doesn’t care that he owns nothing, she will go to live with his family. As she’s hugging him, she knows her plan is going just as it should.

Kemal berates Tariq and is upset that he wasn’t responsible enough to take care of his sister. They get into a physical fight outside the home, their parents try to separate them. Tariq says he will go to get Zeynep back but Hussein puts an end to that. Tariq turns the tables and tells Kemal everything is his fault. Kemal accepts this fault, but not without blaming Tariq and telling him that becoming Emir’s lackey has brought this tragedy to the family. Tariq accepts before the family that he works for Emir and that he doesn’t regret it. He walks away from them. Hussein can’t believe that he and his wife went wrong somewhere in educating their children.

At the mansion, Vildan screeches at Onder that he needs to bring back Ozan alone. Nihan offers to help, but he prefers to do it on his own. He leaves, and she tells Vildan that they all need to calm down and accept that they can’t force Ozan to what he doesn’t want to. Vildan quickly blames Nihan for everything, for having brought Kemal into the house. Nihan tells her it’s everyone’s fault, including her mother’s, and as she leaves Vildan throws some heavy decorations to the floor, exclaiming that she’s tired of it all already.

Asu comes to Kemal’s house to ask for Zeynep. His mother incorrectly tells her that her daughter has been tricked and is now gone forever, but is interrupted upon seeing Nihan. She loses it and yells at her a slew of insults. Asu joins her but tells Nihan not to bother the family anymore, she’s done enough harm. Nihan lets them know that her family has been shocked too, but no one cared to listen. Kemal’s mother orders Asu not to talk to Nihan at all, as if acknowledging her existence was an offense. Kemal brings the family into the house, but not before his mother warns him to send Nihan off forever, lest he wants to forget he has one. She’s not willing to lose another child to that family again.

Seems like all Zeynep accomplished was to make it much easier for her to continue her affair with Emir. Though perhaps she did protect Kemal from killing Emir. Or make it easier for him to kill Emir.

AnonFri, wow! Really appreciate your detailed recap of the marriage and its aftermath. Fast dialogue, blame and accusations, mood swings and shifting attitudes. My head was spinning. You captured and clarified the emotions and motivations so well. Thank you AnonFri!

I liked that scene where Zeynep suggested going to one of the family's summer homes. Well, all the money and properties are actually Emir's.

We saw a harsher side of Kemal. Hope he can summon it to deal with Emir when the time comes.

Random bits I remember from Wed. episode:

Nice touch that Zeynep got married in the red dress Emir gave her. Still wearing it when Emir escorted her to Ozan's bedroom. Emir says she's an excellent actress [I agree, I think the actress portraying Zeynep is talented].

Emir threatens her again with sending photos of their embraces to Kemal. Zeynep says go for it, so he'll kill you.

Having only the red dress, she had to put on Ozan's old sweats for morning after breakfast. Zeynep earned her new family has set meal times, assigned seating, and unconcealed hostility. Zeynep had her appetite, tho! "I'm really hungry." Commenting on the funeral atmosphere, Vildan retorts she can always leave.

Leyla advises Kemal not to abandon Zeynep in that house, even tho Kemal thinks Zeynep has ruined everything. Kemal insists to Nihan that Zeynep could not possibly been love with Ozan, because, well, he's Ozan. Nihal said Ozan was her life, and told Kemal to stop investigating that night 5 years ago. Notably, Nihan does not tell Kemal what she knows about Zeynep and Emir.

In another scene, Kemal and Nihan sat on the sidewalk, crying, caressing their infinity [?] tattoos and lamenting their lost years. Nihan should have been more brave. But Kemal swears to find a way forward for them.

Beautiful Banu is curled up on the couch with Tarik and his beaten-up face.

Thanks for the mini recap. I missed last night's episode entirely. I didn't realize the red dress was the one Emir bought for Zeynep, but I do remember Asu wanted to buy it for her last week. I guess at this point Emir won't reveal the truth to Kemal anymore, as the scandal isn't worth it to him.

There are way too many secrets for a lifetime in Nihan's family. Poor Kemal is getting stuck in their spider web.

I wish they would just put Ozan in his place already. The way they treat that man is ridiculous. He doesn't do anything at all.
