El Dragón #66-67, 1/1/20: Potted Stew
- On Garza Island Miguel and Adela discuss the sense of buying an entire island for themselves. (Why, cuz if ya got it ya gotta spend it! Ya can't take it with ya!) He says they need a private escape for themselves. Talk turns to his slowing down some day in the near future once Efilina takes over the culture and people stop dying from using illegal substances to escape the bad situations they face daily. Then he (on his unicorn) and others (on their flying pigs) can retire from having to kill people over the same illicit trade. (Viewerville reminds those of us who view things through reality glasses rather than the rose colored ones, that there will always be people who enjoy doing bad things and pursue making this trade illegal because they're born bad, namely the Epigmenios of the world.) Ade marvels at the way Mig always has things so well thought out. Well, says she, as long as the two of them end up happy together......
- In the Colombian jungle, with El General, Pig and his new associate, Tacho the Taco Brained, Carlos Duarte continues to kvetch over being pulled out of his office and dragged down there. The idea is for him to realize the Pig, Tacho and El General have a plan to remove Miguel Garza out of the way by squeezing closed the Efilina trade. Make it illegal. Dump him and his in jail, etc. All he has to do is make sure that the justice system keeps Taco out of prison rather than returning him to prison. This is Carlos' way to the presidency and to revive his candidacy.
- In Miami ? Ishiro and Chisca discuss his past and their future together--he's a violent man who has had to kill men throughout. Nope, this doesn't bother her. (Hey, remember the family roots here, Ishi? Bad to the bone.) Yep, she wants to be a part of his future. They kiss on it.
- Trejo and the gang in Techie Tower discuss how money is laundered through their crap companies and once their usefulness is done they get sold off and others get bought. There's a lot of cash to load and carry off to various coffers. Ishi is in charge of getting the cash to the coffers.
- El General doesn't feel they need a jerk pol like Carlos as a partner. Pig says Carlos's days are numbered. They need him for a bit of the plan.
- Tacho is back in CDJimenez and sees his parents. He needs Mama to pump one of her friends who has a son that works at the Garza Transport Co. to get their upcoming schedules.
- Ishi and Chis arrive back at the manse in the DF. Ishi rejects Chis's hand-holding in front of Dora. Chis follows Ishi and gripes at him for doing that. What is his problem? He hasn't formalized anything with Miggy yet. She must learn patience. He'll talk to Mig when the time is right. It is the Bushido way. Just be patient.
- Later that day, Trejo, Peligros and Ishi discuss plans and places to load and then deliver the cash they've got to launder. Kenia listens and then fakes a reason for interrupting the meeting. She takes the information and texts IRS agent Gary with it. They'll make a transfer of information at the nearby fruit market.
- Work is over and Jorge wants to go to the movies with Kenia. She says she needs her space and leaves. Flaco tells Jorge that Kenia is really acting weird lately. Jorge leaves and decides to follow Kenia. He notes that Kenia buys fruit and then hands the clerk a note with the cash. She leaves and he loses her trail. He goes back to the fruit seller in the market and notices Gary who he remembers from following Kenia the day before as some "stranger wanting directions to" somewhere. He secretly takes a photo of Gary with his cell phone after seeing the guy take a note with his payment to the clerk.
- Back on Garza Island, Mig is meditating and Ade wants to chat. She asks if he still thinks of Asya. He says yes, but it's not got anything to do with their relationship now. (We suppose its something he uses as a life lesson.....) He admits that he never shed a tear over her death. Once his parents died he was all cried out. They decide to take another swim.
- Back at Sucesos, Claudia and Hector discuss the editing of an article. She shows him afterward the Efilina and she wants to experiment. He refuses.
- Gary gives Kenia's information about the cash transport time to Edna. She races to get a warrant.
- Jorge has been using a facial recognition program all evening to identify Gary. Kenia arrives home. He shuts down the computer to hide this from her. She feigns exhaustion and won't fool around in bed with him.
- Chis sneaks into Ishi's bed and tries to wake him with a kiss. She nearly gets strangled for her troubles. He clears the mental fog and they fool around.
- Next morning, Taco is sitting outside the transport's garage and grounds bright and early waiting for the caravan to begin. He knows the name of the ship that's supposed to carry the cash where it's to be hidden. He follows the delivery to the boat docks, and secretly listens for the ship's/ shipment's arrival.
- Ishi surprises Chis (still in his bed) with breakfast in bed.
- Carlos and Satayanas grouse over a game of golf and threaten each other.
- Gary gets the go ahead for the next raid. They arrive a day and mucho dinero short. He was used and his source screwed him over. Edna's really hissed and pissed.
- Ade doesn't want this romantic situation to ever end. Miggy surprises her (and Viewerville, for really reals) with a marriage proposal. She's the woman of his dreams.
#67
- Adela makes Miguel work for her answer. She reminds him of the hard and dangerous times they've shared together since meeting up. He reminds her of the promises he made and has kept. He makes a few more along with apologies for the danger he's exposed her to. But in the end, she does say yes.
- Kenia lies about the cycle taking a dive and her a spill when going over a pothole [bache]. She'll be home late and not to come for her. She'll manage alone.
- Kenia meets up with Gary who is damned pissed that there wasn't a trace of cash or illicit bidnez at the transport company garage. Another big fat goose egg! They must have figured out somebody has infiltrated the company's security. She's got one last chance or she goes to prison for terrorism in the U.S.
- At the manse, Jorge's come back for more of his things. Chis finds him in his room and they chat about the program he's been using but it goes in one eyeball and out the other for Chis. She's more interested in telling him about falling in love with Ishi and that he's in love with her. He's to keep quiet though till it's formalize with Mig.
- That night Carlos gets word from Pig about the transfer to a ship called Capricornius, dates and times. He races to Edna's with the details. She is pissed that Garza is always a step or two ahead and in control. She does listen to hubby and Carlos and gets another warrant.
- Claudia and reporter friends discuss Hector. The two women keep on chatting and drinking. Claudia's worried about a hangover but her friend says stay. She has some Efilina and she won't feel a thing tomorrow morning. Claudia tries it.
- The next morning Ade and Mig arrive back home. Their engagement is official. Ishi decides it's time to ask Mig for permission to date Chis. He gives his ok. Chis and Ishi become official. Mig decides the house isn't large enough for everyone and everything, security-wise. He's selling the house. However, Rosario will be coming along with the family to the new digs.
- Meanwhile, at Sucesos, Hector's press friend pays a visit. Claudia admits she's taken Efilina finally. She is called away. Press Friend and Hector discuss Hector's change in attitude since his attack. He's now too frightened to speak/write so freely.
- Back at the manse, Mig gets a warning call from Satayanas about the leak of information regarding the Capricornius.
- Dora learns that Ishi and Ade are now part of the family. She accuses him of controlling everything this way. He tells her to lighten up and they have work to attend to. They leave. Dora tells Ade and Chis to get used to it. This is to be their life.
- Edna and Gary arrive at the Capricornius and force their way on board once again to find Garza is ahead of them. She orders everything in the containers to be examined. (To no effect, natch.)
- Ade, posing as Mayra, learns from Carmen that, according to her hubby, there was a fight going on between Roberto (Mig's papi) and Don Lamberto. Don Lamb murdered his own son.
- Ade later goes to visit her abuela who tells her that criminals always return to the scene of the crime. (Supposedly because of something they may have left there as a clue?) She follows her grammy's advice and coerces Peligros into taking her to the rancho at CDJimenez. While there she scours the entire residence but finds nothing. The last room is Don Lamb's office. Again, nothing. Suddenly she sees the air conditioning vent on the floor underneath his credenza area. She opens the vent and finds a book wrapped in a cellophane baggy. Inside the pages of the hollowed out book is an old style hand held tape recorder. It still works (after allllllllll these years the batteries are fine as the proverbial fiddle.) There's a conversation on there of Roberto discussing with someone else that his daddy cannot know or he'd kill him. Ruh-roh!!!!!!

So if Miggy is THAT dam smart why isn't HE running for President?
So altruistic and high minded, Ephilina can make all other recreational drugs obsolete? Um...like cars made horses obsolete or something?
Enjoyed seeing Adela make him work for it. But she caved and said yes.
Now she and Chisca can be besties. If only we could just find a single hungry Grizzly Bear for Dora.
For a minute there, I was so proud of Adela for making Mig suffer and then she said "Yes!" Not my favorite couple as you can tell. Right now, even Chisca and Ishiro make a better couple that Mig and Adela, who (IMO) just don't fit quite right.
Not much else interested me and I kept getting just as lost as Edna and Gary were...outsmarted in so many ways!
Like "Dam them, I'm going to drop some nuclear bombs on that country. This is the last straw.!"
"No no no wait. Here, take this......Better?"
"Yeah, I guess. Well, at least let's write them a letter."
I have thought all along that there has to be some negative with the Ephigood (Can never spell it, neither can the CCs)because it would leave Miggy as king of the Universe at the show end.
yeah, but that is not exactly what I had in mind with the Grizzly who had just awoken from hibernation and meets Dora.
But then in fairness, after a minute or two, Mr. Bear might notice that he is neither hungry nor horny.
Jardinera: Kenia is likely either going to prison or get whacked.
RVG Chick: Ishiro & Chisca become a couple. What could possibly go wrong ?

At this point, I'm in this for the fabulous recaps and eye-opening Caray comments with laughs.
Maybe Kenia wants to get caught and be eliminated already? Everybody can see something's up with her.
I'm hetero, but when Mig and Adela were strolling hand in hand, I focused on her. She had just the right bikini and sheer cover-up to flatter her body. Rosario would've been impressed.
I don't find Mig the best of company, so being alone on an island with him ... I don't know. Hope abuela, Peligro, Rosario, and even Chisca can come for extended visits.
Any Sunday at the zoo should answer your question.
