RINGO

“Our envy always lasts longer than the happiness of those we envy.”- François de la Rochefoucauld

Part 1

The green-eyed monster has taken possession of Brenda as she knows Ringo cares not about her, but about Julia. Eva, besotted with Alejo, is beside herself with jealousy as he is involved with disturbed, delusional Brenda who is maliciously using him in her desirous quest of Ringo. Gloria seethes that Julia occupies Ringo’s thoughts. Turco fumes that Ringo seems to be supplanting him in Gloria’s affections as she still sniffs after Ringo. Diego is incensed that Julia seems to value Ringo’s friendship more than her (sham of a) marriage to him. The “alienation of affections” has already begun.

But not all are immersed in covetousness. Max waits patiently in fervent hope that Eva will realize Alejo is not for her and that she will come to his waiting arms. Ringo realizes (as do we) that Julia does not love Diego. He continues with his quest for Julia, far less patiently and far more persistently.

A nonplussed Oro and his “squirrel” Gauchin (thanks Rgv Chick) are shocked as Rosa reveals she is going to return home. She is leaving them. For her husband! Our dynamic duo are devastated. Oso and Gauchin take turns begging and trying to reason with her. Gauchin interrupts and tells Rosa that he will go with her. He will protect her and when she is rid of Ruben, he will marry her. Rosa smiles sweetly but their pleas are in vain. Rosa hangs up. Our heroes will not take this lying down. Batman and Robin to the rescue!

Diego calls Julia. “Brenda” Julia queries? She tells him about the argument between Brenda and Eva. The conversation is cut short by a melodious sound. “Brenda” Julia again calls out? Nopis. Ringo comes into view, movin’ and grooving and looking verrrry fine. Why are you here? Ringo sweet talks they are there alone. So this is why he wanted to ensure Brenda, Ivan and Elsa were elsewhere. A few turns, a little dip and smoldering looks ensue.

Brenda is at a club, saying that she was really bad; what she did cannot be forgiven. A stranger comes up and he is quickly hugging her and goes in for a neck kiss. I don’t like you she sneers as she pours a beer on him and runs off.

Ringo and Julia dancing. He pretends to be hurt since she stepped on him. Uh-oh, Brenda has come back home and videotapes them. She then calls Diego, speaking very loudly. When Diego ask for Julia, Brenda tells him she is there with Ringo.. once she hangs up Julia uses the excuse that she is writing a prescription for Ringo’s mother. No one is fooled.

“Our envy always lasts longer than the happiness of those we envy.”- François de la Rochefoucauld

Part 2

Oso and Gauchin arrive at Rosa’s house. Oso tells Ruben that he can’t take Rosa since she has a fight scheduled. He shows him the contract. Ruben agrees to let Rosa fight once he hears that Rosa will be paid good money...but they will be leaving after the fight.

Ringo calls Julia and hopes he didn’t cause any problems for her. She tells him that there is no problem, just confusion. They then talk about getting costumes for a dance competition. He wants something like what they wear for ice skating. Afterwards they get “cursil” and start telling other sweet nothings. Diego’s picture scowls on the nightstand.

Brenda invites Julia to go jogging. When Julia turns her down, Brenda figures that Julia has better things to do - like see Ringo. She then shows Julia the videotape. Brenda kids that the cat came in...since when the cat’s away the rats will dance. Brenda shows Julia the tape as Julia tries to reason with her.

Now for a fun scene. Gloria is throwing Turco’s clothes over the balcony! If she had coals she’d rake him over them!

Damasio, Oso and Pepe watch while Rosa trains. When Pepe takes Ruben to his office to look at the contract, Gauchin asks Rosa why she is wearing over-sized clothes now. Oso tells her that he is going to make her a great fighter no matter what her excuse of a husband says. Believe me.

Turco getting hounded by the press and takes exception to the questions, hitting one of the reporters and breaking their equipment. He refuses to comment.

Brenda shows Ringo the video . She wonders what Diego would say if he saw it. She can’t decide what to do... she wants to know what Ringo is willing to do to keep her from showing it to Diego.

Brenda pretends that she is going to show Diego the video, so Ringo calls her back. Ringo asks what she wants. So she tells him that she wants him to pose for her...since he did it before for her to seduce her.

Turco is at the club when the cops come in to arrest him for assault. Turco tries to bribe them but it’s a no go. Julia calls Ringo who tells her about Brenda’s threats but he is not going to let her get away with it.

Ringo tells Brenda he will not allow her to extort him.

Ivan enters and Julia tells her that she wants to work in his factory so that she can provide services to the employees. Ivan knows that she is only doing this because she thinks he is partners with Llorente, but tells her to go ahead.

Gauchin and Rosa are boxing when Ruben returns and roars at them. Ruben threatens Rosa that he’d better not catch her dancing with Gauchin again. Gauchin tells him that he has no say so when Rosa is in the ring. She may be your woman but in this ring, she’s Rosa. Ruben makes his position clear by grabbing Rosa as Oso walks in. Oso reminds Rosa it’s her fist day of work with Teresa and asks her to go to the cafeteria. She is shaken as Oso steams.

Antunes and La Zorra talk with Oso. He wants La Zorra to train there and Oso agrees but doesn’t want any problems. Rafa runs into La Zorra and asks if she will accept his invitation. He blocks her way, she smiles and says she will think about it.

Lupe struts in to Diego’s office to his obvious discomfort and Julia’s anger. Lupe said that Ivan hired her to remodel an area in the factory. What is the relationship between your father and mine Julia queries? Lupe says they are associates. All Lupe knows is that their fathers came to some agreement but only to keep Julia out of trouble since Lupe’s father had all the evidence to file charges. Lupe calls Julia pathetic and the non-compliment is returned.

Eva calls Julia telling her she is sorry for the way she acted. Julia tells her that she is at her father’s factory to try to find out about his partnership with Llorente. Julia forgives easily.

Part 3

Oso gently asks Rosa about Ruben; how could she have married someone like him and why does she stay with him? She says it is because they have a daughter together.

Ruben hits on La Zorra. Rafa interferes (as if she needed any help!) and chides Ruben since he is protecting his territory. Zorra sneers at Rafa so he kisses her just to give her a sample. There is no resistance. She is speechless.

Brenda reminds Julia that she has a video. Julia chides her for trying to blackmail Ringo, but Brenda tells her that Ringo offered to pose for her on his own. She then tells Julia that she has erased the video.

Damasio tells Oso that he found info on Ruben. He was just released from jail but he is not allowed to leave the state. Oso figures that that’s why Ruben wants to leave right away.

At Rosa’s house, Ruben wants something to eat but doesn’t like what Rosa prepared and would rather go out to get something. He calls her stupid before leaving.

Diego gets Turco and his idiot sidekick out of jail. Again.

More music (at Gloria’s this time) as Turco shows up with musicians singing. Gloria comes out like a wildcat. Are you crazy? Turco tries to beg his way out of it but Gloria is unmoved and wants no part of it. It’ll take much more than that for her to forgive him. Leave she yells to the band. Turco echoes the sentiment. He knows he is screwed.

Lastly, Brenda watches Ringo and decides to send Diego the video. Diego watches it intently. We can only surmise what his reaction will be…

RINGO

Thank you Rgv Chick for all of your help tonight!

You called this a "hodgepodge" which fit perfectly!

This was a diced chopped salad where scenes seemed to be combined and interspersed with no clear direction.

I did the best I could and I apologize as I know some things were out of order.

No Alejo tonight...So, did he stand Brenda up at the club?

AMOR ETERNO

LOOks like nihan is blaming kemal for
Everything. I don't care if she's mad about ozan and onder dying there's two people to blame for that train wreck and that's emir and zeynep. Nihan is mad at herself too. But sending kemal to jail wont change nothing. She still
Stuck with pucker puss. And she don't have to be now cuz ozan is dead. She
Should free herself. Kemal won't be in jail for long.

Zeynep is Loosing her mealticket to the life style of the rich and famous.

RINGO

Thank You Diana. Jumble Gym works just fine. Wonder why they started calling it LOONEYVision?

"Lupe struts in to Diego’s office to his obvious discomfort and Julia’s anger. Lupe said that Ivan hired her to remodel an area in the factory." "And I misplaced my favorite panties. I'm SURE I left them in Diablo's office Thursday afternoon."

RINGO

Thanks Kirby. "LOONEYVision" is right.

I think Lupe wants to get caught simply to stick it to Julia. Lots of hissing from both.

I can't figure out if the fragmented scenes are due to terrible editing or if this is being chopped to bits. I think it says a lot that I'm still interested in the characters. Well, most of them :) I could watch Oso all day.

Heading into an all day/early evening training session. No computers!

Look forward to checking in later today.

Hope everyone has a great day -

RINGO

Diana, thanks so much, for the enjoyable read this morning. Such an appropriate title! Loved it! So I wan’t the only one who thought this was sort of disjointed?

Rafael made me laugh giving out “a sample” kiss to La Zorra.

RINGO

Wow Diana, what an awesome title: I've just got to re-quote it here:

“Our envy always lasts longer than the happiness of those we envy.”- François de la Rochefoucauld

Fantastic. And oh my, what a despicable character Brenda is. I dislike her even more than Diego or Rosa's creepy husband. Speaking of, is Rosa wearing a sweatshirt out of modesty or is she hiding bruises and scratches from her returned hubby? He looks like an abuser to me.

Some other observations and quips I loved:

But not all are immersed in covetousness. Max waits patiently in fervent hope that Eva will realize Alejo is not for her and that she will come to his waiting arms. Ringo realizes (as do we) that Julia does not love Diego. He continues with his quest for Julia, far less patiently and far more persistently.

Ringo is another one who's annoying me (gosh, could I possibly be a COP (cranky old person)? But he's really pushing the boundaries with this little newlywed.

Some other favorites:

Batman and Robin to the rescue

Diego's picture scowls on the nightstand (you always note visuals that I miss...thanks)

and

Gloria, if she had coals she'd rake him over them

and just "hissing at each other"...perfectly described the scene between Julia and Lupe

Also, I'm topsy turvy on this but I actually like Gloria. She's done some horrible things, but seems to be regretting them and also seems to be genuinely fond of her child. Plus she's feisty, giving Turco plenty of grief. For that alone, I like her. I think she's going to be one of those "bad girls" that Carlos championed and eventually gets redeemed.

Sounds like you have a tough, long day ahead of you Diana. Sending you good vibes((()))) and many thanks for this great recap.

ringo

Oh so Eva pines away for Johnny Bravo while he is canoodling with blonde spider woman?

Well if she gets her wish is she ready to never wear heels again lest people call them Mutt and Jeff? She must be a foot taller than Alejo in flat shoes.

She should take a tip from Mayrin Villanueva and find herself a big ole Eduardo Santamarina style fellow.

RINGO

JudyB, I will join you in agreeing that Ringo keeps pushing it and is annoying. I will add Julia and her behavior to the annoyances because she never should have married Diego in the first place. She is coming off as goofy, to me at least. Now it seems she wants to catch Diego cheating? Maybe? Plenty of blame to pass around in this little trio.

I want to hear Rosa’s backstory already. It will most likely be a cautionary tale.

AMOR ETERNO
Season 2 #1
(1)

Kemal is being interrogated by two officers. He’s asked why he shot Emir, but doesn’t give them an answer. The investigators try to scare him into a confession by suggesting they may resort to physical force.

Meanwhile Emir is in the ER for hours. He’s dying and they try to resuscitate him. They manage to revive him and they continue with the surgery.

Nihan is thinking back to when she found out Ozan died and she started blaming Kemal. She’s also in the hospital, with IV attached. When she finally sits up she takes it off and walks out of the room.

Leyla is outside Kemal’s home, crying. Zeynep finds her sitting on the ledge. She hugs Leyla, claiming to be happy to see her. Leyla doesn’t warm up and demands to know why Zeynep is there and not with Nihan and the family. Zeynep said that she was, but had to leave.
“When was the last time you visited your brother?” Leyla asks.
“The meal that afternoon. He asked me to come.”
Leyla threatens Zeynep and says that if she’s behind the confrontation between Emir and Kemal, she’ll make sure she gets her just desserts. Zeynep denies everything and tries to shame Leyla for thinking bad of her. She walks away like the victim she pretends to be, but Leyla is unconvinced by her performance.

Galip meets the doctor in the hallway, even though the surgery isn’t finished yet. The Dr tells Galip that he needs to make a decision on Emir’s future. Galip looks concerned about what that means.

Zeynep is alone and walking with her bags down the dark road, starting to feel pain.

Nihan arrives at the coroner’s office and states that she will take her brother. The medical examiner thinks it’s not a good idea but she’s adamant. She goes into a room and the medical examiner allows her to pull the sheet and see Ozan. She smiles and says “you’re still sleeping.” She feels his cold body and tries to cover him up. She tells him that he’s going to be an uncle. She starts kissing his hand and holds it to her stomach, telling him how she verified her pregnancy with her gynecologist, then continues with how she saw Elif afterwards, and how she convinced herself to tell Kemal about the baby. “I’ve walked and walked, and suddenly felt something different, but I kept walking.” When she notices the rope burn on Ozan’s neck she asks what happened to him. She starts to emotionally breakdown and hug the body, the medical examiner tells her to calm down. She cries as she’s holding her brother’s cold body and still asks him to wake up so that they can go home. The other Dr enters the room and they both pull her out of there.

In the hallway, Nihan is talking to a limp Vildan, who isn’t reacting to anything around her. Nihan starts to ask about her father. A wedding band falls to the floor and Nihan picks it up, noticing that it has Vildan engraved on it. She asks her mother why she’s holding Onder’s wedding band. Vildan is still unresponsive. Nihan sits in the floor and continues to cry.

AMOR ETERNO #1
(2)

Kemal is being transported in the prisoners van. Two guards are talking to him, one of which claims that Kemal doesn’t seem like a killer. Kemal says “I killed him. I did it myself.”

Galip is looking at Emir and says “You can do it. You are Emir Kozcouglu. Wake up.” Tufan stands behind him, thinking about his mother who’s still under Emir’s orders. Galip makes a call to an officer and swears that Kemal is a dead man walking.

The officer throws his phone on the desk and the detective appears. The officer demands that he go get Ozan’s file now.

Kemal’s attorney is speaking to Asu, Zehir, Hussein and Tariq. The lawyer doesn’t think they have much to worry about because the gunshot wasn’t premeditated. Zehir gets fazed when he notices a woman entering the courthouse. Meanwhile Fehime is making a scene and Leyla tries to calm her down.

Soon Kemal arrives at the courthouse and the media is there to receive him, along with the family. In the courtroom, Emir’s lawyer argues that Kemal wanted to kill Emir because Nihan didn’t correspond to his love and so he sought revenge on the family. Kemal’s lawyer argues that that did not happen, rather, he went to speak to him on other matters. Kemal is asked by the judge what he wanted to talk to Emir about. Kemal responds “We did business together. We had so many differences. The conversation then got heated and he took out his gun. We started to struggle and I wanted to avoid a tragedy. I stepped away when I heard the gunshot.” Emir’s lawyer claims that Emir had the gun to defend himself from Kemal’s attack. The judge asks Kemal if he regrets what’s happened. Kemal thinks for a second and answers no. Both lawyers argue again and Emir’s lawyer claims he has two witnesses.

“Nihan Kozcouglu” is called from the hallway. Kemal looks around the room and gets uneasy. Fehime gets indignant and wants to know what Nihan is doing there and Leyla asks the same question. Nihan walks past them and into the courtroom. She stares down at Kemal the entire way to the witness’ chair. She’s sworn in and promises her honesty. Then she tells everyone that she supposed Kemal would appreciate this, as he values honesty. She’s asked “Is it true that Kemal has differences with your husband?” Nihan confirms that there was a rivalry.
“What was the reason? Was it the job?”
“No. It was because of me. Of course I made a few mistakes and things got worse between Emir, Kemal’s sister-“
Kemal tries to cut off Nihan from involving Zeynep, but Nihan ignores him: “We suspected that Emir and his sister had an intimate relationship. Kemal got furious and pointed a gun at Emir’s head.” She pauses and starts to feel dazed.
“Would Kemal have shot Emir due to the suspicions he had?”
Nihan confirms “yes, it’s possible.”
Kemal stares at Nihan as if he can’t believe her.
A decision is made to postpone the trial and wait for other witnesses. They will jail Kemal while he waits for trial. Kemal looks at Nihan, but she’s not looking back, and seems to be slumped in her sadness. When she turns to look at him he asks her why she did that. She says “I’ve trusted the law. I told the truth. It’s a debt I owe to those who have died. I owe it to you too.” Kemal defiantly tells her to “Pay it.” The guards take him out of there.

Kemal is taken out handcuffed. He doesn’t talk to anyone in the hallway but he’s thinking about how he doesn’t want any of them to sympathize with him nor offer him their support. He wants everyone to leave him alone. Asu interrupts his thoughts and tells him she won’t leave him alone, but Kemal tells her to back off. As soon as he’s out of the courthouse, the media tries to get answers from Kemal, only to turn to Nihan when she walks out of there too. Fehime immediately curses Nihan and claims that she won’t have a place to be sepulchered when she dies. She tries to lounge at Nihan but Tariq holds his mother back and directs her attention to Kemal. Fehime continues to cry and make a scene for her son, who still doesn’t say anything. He manages to give Tariq a glare before going into the van.

AMOR ETERNO #2
(3)

Nihan is sitting in her car watching the prisoner van leave. She holds back her tears as best she can. Leyla approaches and so Nihan exits the car and gets a hug from her. Leyla says “You’re very hurt. You don’t know what to think but you can still change your testimony.” Nihan counters: “What did I say? I was just as honest as Kemal. I didn’t think about the consequences just like he didn’t either.” Leyla had no response and Nihan gets back into her car and drives off. “I know I will survive this,” she tells herself. “Maybe far away from here, but I will survive this.”

Zeynep is in a hotel room watching the news and freaking out about Kemal’s fate and what she will have to tell her parents. She looks at her phone and notices two missing calls from Tariq. She’s interrupted by a hotel worker who knocks on her door because he wants her identification to register her into the hotel. Zeynep feigns that she will go downstairs to present her ID, but she actually takes her things and exits the hotel through a backdoor.

The detective is speaking to an older officer and takes a ziplock with Ozan’s personal belongings. He’s told that Ozan started to feel sick after having made a phone call to Zeynep. In the bag he finds Ozan’s final letter to Zeynep and then notices the photos of Emir and Zeynep together in the yacht. The detective starts to wonder if Ozan did commit suicide.

Meanwhile a younger officer is seen looking for Ozan’s things in a cabinet, when the older one comes back and says that the items were handed over already. The younger officer feigns to be satisfied with the response and he exits the office to go into a cell and make a discreet phone call. He tells the caller. It to yell at him, that the evidence left the building already and that the police won’t believe that Ozan committed suicide. He adds that he knows the caller is the one who killed Ozan, and that from now on they don’t know each other. He hangs up. In a flashback moments earlier, it was seen that this officer was the one who put the envelope with the photos and the letter under the cell door for Ozan to find.

Kemal steps out of the van and is entering the Istanbul jail. He’s being processed. Soon he’s being led to his cell while being plagued by the memory of Nihan crying and reproaching him for Ozan’s death. Then he’s thinking of her testimony hours earlier, and her final words to him before he was led out of the courtroom. The officer introduces Kemal to his new home and pushes him into a room with a bunch of inmates. One of them smirks and seems to have taken a particular interest in him. He asks that Kemal be introduced to his bed.

The Soyderes and Asu are all in the house, thinking about where Zeynep might be. Fehime is still crying about Kemal and being dramatic, while Tariq looks like he’s done with everyone. Hussein comments that they have all forgotten about the funeral preparations.

At the same time, Zeynep is at a bus terminal, getting ready to leave the country. A man bumps into her and her bags fall- he doesn’t even bother to help her. As she picks her stuff up she starts to feel unwell and gets intense abdominal pain. She asks for help and yells from the pain until she loses consciousness.

AMOR ETERNO

Hey Nina,

I can’t tell if Zeynep is running away because she killed Ozan, or if she’s running away because of the shame that she has to confront her family. Kemal also has some nerve to hush Nihan about what his fight with Emir really was about. Zeynep needs to be discovered for the tramp she is. Sorry, Kemal.

Fehime has issues. Cannot stand that lady. She has a grandchild on the way and she’s damning the mother.

Those yacht photos of Emir and Zeynep. Weren’t they Emir’s blackmail photos to get her to tell Kemal the truth all the way from the beginning?

AnonFri

Diana, thank you for that excellent recap.

In true telenovela, everyone is pining after someone wh wants someone else. She loves him but he loves her ..etc. Then, of course, we have those who only really love themselves. ( Gloria, Turbo, Brenda I am looking right at you. ) and then there is the guy everyone wants ( notice I didn't say loves)...Ringo Star.....- of- the -show.

RINGO

Diana, you made a beautiful quilt out of all the (s)crap Looneyvision threw at us. Thank you! And I echo Judy in praising your very insightful title...it's perfect!!

There was so much going on in this episode that I don't know where to start, but here it goes-

Kirby, I'm sure Lupe is just itchin' to have Julia find out about her and Diablo. If Julia dumped Diablo, he wouldn't be losing much financially since Lupe's father is also well off. So I wonder why he insists so much on having Julia; I seriously doubt that he loves her.

Oso and Gauchin have huge hearts; Rosa would be very lucky to end up with either one. Her fear of Ruben is very real and, unfortunately, happens too often in RL. Maybe Oso and Gau should concentrate on finding a way to get him back into jail since his release is conditional. Once there, Rosa needs to work on getting a divorce ASAP.

Judy, I'll join you in being topsy turvy about Ringo. He is starting to be too much like Monica on "Y Mañana Sera Otro Dia." Keeping the friendship going and "being there" for Julia should be enough to show Julia that he loves her; he's crossing the line with his seduction techniques. Diana stated it much more eloquently, "He continues with his quest for Julia, far less patiently and far more persistently."

Jarifa, I laughed too with Rafa giving La Zorra that sample of his lips, but does he really want to get involved with La Zorra who could probably knock him on his butt given the chance? And she is just not the most likeable girl...up to now.

AMOR ETERNO

Aww, AnonFri, you're back with your outstanding recaps on AE! YAY!! I was able to watch the entire episode last night...yippee!

Nina, "Nihan is mad at herself too. But sending kemal to jail wont change nothing. She still
Stuck with pucker puss. And she don't have to be now cuz ozan is dead. She
Should free herself. Kemal won't be in jail for long." So true! this is the perfect opportunity Nihan has to get away from Emir, but instead, she is driving that wedge in further between her and Kemal. I understand her agony in losing her brother, but she needs to take a good hard look at how he got to where he was...her agony started because of him.

AnonFri, I think that, more than anything, Zeynep is running away to avoid facing her family. It does look like she will be losing the baby or as Nina put it, "her meal ticket to the rich and famous."

ETERNO

Quick question: What is Leyla's relationship to Kemal and Nihan? Just friends???

ringo

RGV...." his butt given the chance? And she is just not the most likeable girl...up to now." It appeared the other day, in the shower she was VERY likeable from the look on Rafa's face. His tail was wagging. Woof.

AMOR ETERNO

Hello RGV Chick

I’m glad you can watch the novela. It feels like a strange time to me, but we’ll see how it goes.

Leyla is Nihan’s aunt, but she’s also Kemal’s godmother. Because of a family feud involving Onder, Leyla never had any relationship with Nihan until fairly recently, whereas with Kemal she’s known him since he was a child.

I figured Zeynep was running away for shame, but she’s looking very suspicious as now that the news of Ozan’s death is everywhere, she doesn’t even care to feign that she’s upset over it. Seems like the shame will follow her even if she never confronts it.

AnonFri

AMOR ETERNO

As gorgeous as these people are, I cannot stand watching the constant crying and angst. It is depressing. I only surf in once in awhile and read the recaps. Thanks for the detailed recaps.

ETERNO

Thanks for explaining about Leyla, AnonFri. That explains her devotion to the pair.

In regards to Zeynep, you make a good point. It didn't occur to me that Zeynep would be the one behind Ozan's murder; or I suppose I should say that I can't believe she would have the nerve or brains to plan the "suicide." We do know, however, that whoever is behind it is alive and conscience since the guard talked to the person...so does that rule out Emir? Maybe and maybe not, since Emir could have hired or ordered someone to handle it..so back to square 1. UGHH!

Susanlynn, "cannot stand watching the constant crying and angst." It is quite depressing isn't it? There are times when I have to really watch closely to see if someone smiles; it doesn't happen very often.

RINGO

Thanks, Diana. Such a pleasure to be entertained plus learn new stuff. Adding François to my new knowledge. My faves:

Our heroes will not take this lying down. Batman and Robin to the rescue!

Afterwards they get “cursil” and start telling other sweet nothings. Diego’s picture scowls on the nightstand.

Great prologue, especially the contrast between Max's patience and Ringo's full-court press. Max needs to ramp it up a little, while Ringo needs to just stop. But ultimately, I blame Julia. If she wanted to stay true to Diego, why is she dancing alone with Ringo in the first place?

If Uni has taken to the scissors, I don't know why. Ringo and Amor Eterno are doing better in the ratings than Telemundo right now.

Wondering if Rosa's husband is blackmailing her about something. There is no reason for her to stay with this cretin for her daughter. He's a lousy father figure, calling Rosa "stupid" and trying to hit on La Zorra.

RINGO

Kirby, "It appeared the other day, in the shower she was VERY likeable from the look on Rafa's face." Yeah, yeah, whatever LOL Of course, men tend to lose control of their tails when twin peaks come along...regardless of the rest of the view.

AMOR ETERNO

Something I've seen in this story of love,Hate, confusion and all out dumb insanity.
The people that turn on each other.... they get Really pist off at them, but they also Will defend them. I guess the love they have kinda takes over. As much Pain and anguish as ozan has caused nihan she still loves her lil brother. Which is Understandable, they started life together.

Zeynep, the coward she is, is holding onto the jewels and tryin to run run
Run. She's scared but only for herself
I wonder when she get to the hospital
Are they gonna wonder if she stole the
Jewels in that pouch.

This last time that ozan got arrested
That wasn't kemal's fault, I think emir did that to get him away from nep
And she went along with it. They had a plan to fake get away, something emir
Came up with then turned Him in. Really think emir was genuinely upset when zeynep called him hysterically &
Told him ozan knows about the baby.

I agree with you Rgv Chick and SusyQ
Where there should be happiness in this show There is misery. No body is happy, not Even the supposed happy power couple.
And when there is happiness it's not long lived. Emir does somethin to mess
It up. And nihan let's him. She don't want to stir the pot and hell ensues.
Aaaaand here they are. In hell. WOW!
Galip's threats mean nothin to me,just
Nothing. He's the reason emir is so screwed up. He was a horrible parent.
But emir is now a responsible twisted
Adult. Great job dad.

Fehima never liked nihan after she broke kemal's heart the first time.
And she does not know she is carrying her grand daughter. Yet. She is such a
Drama queen.

Thank you AnonFri for the recap. Yaaah we are Back!!!

Great recap anon. I hate 2 say it...Emir will likely survive and continue his grasp on Nihan. Now that Ozan is dead...one wld think she's free but I doubt it. If Emir survives...he will find a way 2 keep her trapped with him...she is too weak to break free. Poor kemel didnt see this soon enuf being blinded by his love 4 her. Now he's in jail...and she's blaming him 4 everything.

Zenep is a selfish fool. She's running away cause she doesnt want 2 face her shame or role in all the chaos. Not sure if she will loose her meal ticket but serves her right if she does.

AMOR ETERNO

Nett I like the way you think girl.
Emir will probably find a way to keep nihan Under his thumb. And yes she is weak. Kemal has been alone in this fight. All because he thought she was worth fighting for. And He'll keep on too.
More hell on the way.

RINGO

No Sex (Yet)…But Lies and Videotape Part 1

One might expect newlyweds to be effervescent, secure with each other’s love and glowing with happiness. The urge to be together in every sense of the word should be overpowering and given in to without reservation. But marriages are not always formed out of true love. Or passion. Yet, the decision is made and the promise given. Whether love is present or not, a vow was made.

When one is in a committed relationship, when is the line of inappropriate behavior crossed and what constitutes the behavior?

Julia clearly was not in love with Diego when she married him. Her relationship with Ringo held attraction at the outset. Yet, both knew Julia would not be free to pursue. And yet, Ringo did. Not even the ceremony dampened his ardor. Her resolve to focus on her husband and put Ringo firmly in the friend zone never materialized. Ringo was and is still single mindedly, laser focused on Julia. Their dance was not an innocent one, the heat and longing were palpable. A man and woman whose chemistry was verging on the combustible. There was no need for passionate, physical kisses. What transpired emotionally was evident on every second on that tape. A visual confirmation that infidelity be committed with the heart alone.

Brenda, seething with jealousy, has sent Diego the tape of Julia and Ringo’s dance. Diego stares and walking calmly into the office, grabs Julia and embraces and kisses her passionately. He tells her that he is just as in love with her as the first day. He just wants to remind her how much he loves her. She does not respond in kind but asks him about Turco. Once he leaves he looks like a man possessed. There is obviously some deranged revenge scheme percolating in his tiny, feverish brain.

Ruben and (slimy) Remigio meet at a bar. He was telling Ruben that he has a job for him...to go pick up some drugs and deliver them. He’ll get paid afterwards. I won’t let you down Ruben asserts. Oh and Damasio is at the next table. Oso gets a call “are you sure he asks” looking grim?

Meanwhile, Ringo and Teresa have dinner. Julia calls Ringo unaware Brenda gave Diego the video. Julia tells him that Brenda erased the video in front of her. They can now breathe easily. Ringo was hoping that Brenda would show it to Diego so he could go off the deep end and divorce her. Julia ends up telling him that she likes him very much, smiling and playing along like this is a game. He returns the compliment. It’s complicated she murmurs. They agree to meet at the park.

No Sex (Yet)…But Lies and Videotape Part 2

On her way out, Julia bumps into Brenda who tells her that she is pregnant. She hasn’t taken a pregnancy test but she knows she is pregnant because she feels it. Brenda then adds that it might be Ringo’s.

Ruben is physically grabbing Rosa and gets violent. Oso come in and as Ruben goes to punch him, Oso gives him a punch that literally knocks him on his ass.

Ringo’s been stood up. Julia says that if they couldn’t meet, it was just not meant to happen.

Oso calls Ringo and tells him he knocked Rosa’s husband out. Get an ambulance Ringo urges. Ruben doesn’t seem to be responding. Then, he shows signs of rousing. Unfortunately. Julia calls Ringo as she tends to Rubin’s wounds (let ‘em fester I say!) And then, he is there right behind her. Julia is checking Ruben who can’t seem to walk but Julia tells them it’s because he is drunk. It takes Oso and Rosa to help him out.

Ringo tells Julia that he doesn’t want to be her lover, he wants to be her partner. Julia argues that she is married, so Ringo tells her that he meant that he wanted to be her dance partner. Ringo tries yet again to kiss Julia, she tells him no. Gives him a kiss and hastily retreats.

Lupe slimes in as Diego is boiling mad at the video. He grabs her in a lip lock, similar to the one he gave to Julia
.
Alejo chides Brenda for standing him up. She tells him that she couldn’t help it because Ringo wanted to talk to her.

Julia calls Ringo from the car. Julia calls Ringo to tell him that she will be working at the factory...in case he needs to contact her.

Ruben is recuperating at the gym. Oso tells Ruben that he knows about his being in jail and that he was released under certain conditions. Oso threatens him. Rosa comes in and Oso backs off.

Julia arrives at the factory, looking for Diego who hurriedly exists with Lupe as they struggle to finish putting their clothes on. Diego she calls. He appears and accuses her of trying to look through the files to find information. He assured her that neither he or Ivan have anything to do with Llorente. They leave together as Lupe snakes back in but can’t leave because Diego locked her in.

Rosa sees that Ruben is packing; he is leaving town. She tells him that things were never right between them. He started drinking and sometimes wouldn’t come home...and he would bring his friends who were hiding from the law. Ruben tells her that he will be going for his daughter since she can’t take care of her...and Rosa can forget about seeing her again.

Ringo and Julia talk about the dance competition. Ringo wants to practice so they can win.

Brenda asks Diego how he liked the video. Diego comments that they need to get rid of Ringo. Diego drives off as Ringo and Julia share covetous looks.

Ivan talks to Julia. Again says he has no relation with Llorente and says Julia is obsessed.

No Sex (Yet)…But Lies and Videotape Part 3

Alejo arrives at Brenda’s and has a dog in a bag! Jealousy rears its head again as he and Ringo go back and forth. He warns Ringo away from his novia. Well the little (Pomeranian?) dog is adorable. So, they never let anything happen to adorable animals in TNs, do they (I ask nervously)? Brenda is enamored of the little perro. Spotting the pregnancy test, Alejo confronts Brenda, who admits that she took the test but it was a false alarm. He wonders why she would think she was pregnant if he is always careful. He asks her if there is someone else; so Brenda assures him that she is not interested in Ringo.

Brenda asks Diego how he liked the video. Diego comments that they need to get rid of Ringo.

Julia arrives and asks if she took the pregnancy test. Brenda goes on and on about the dog so Julia asks Brenda if she is taking her meds since she is so hyper. Brenda doesn’t take it well.

At Gloria’s Turco arrives with a psychologist in tow, who will be their marriage counselor. He doesn’t want to lose what they have and begs for another opportunity. To emphasize the point, he gets on his knees and actually crawls! Good heavens man, have you no dignity? I love you he asserts. I was an imbecile (yes you are I say). You are the love of my life. He assured her that nothing happened with the prostitutes. Turco then thinks that Gloria is angry about Carrizo and offers to fire him. Turco then pleads with Gloria not to leave him...he will die if she leaves him. As Diego begs, Gloria reaches into her witch’s satchel and says “I’m not your mother” which of course cuts him to the quick. Did your mother abandon you the doctor queries? Yes, but I’m talking about my marriage not my mother he angrily sputters. Gloria agrees to give him another chance. The doctor wants her to continue therapy. Not interested – I’ll show you to the door. I’m wondering if this marriage can be saved. I’m having great doubts!

Santi sighting! A little b-ball and affection. Ringo promises Santi he will continue to fight for him.

Rosa cries to Teresa about Rubin’s threat to take her daughter.

Eva and Manuel discuss Ivan being partners with Llorente. Manuel can’t believe that Ivan would have anything to do with Llorente.

Rosa next cries to Oso as he comforts her and envelops her in a bear hug. Oso asks Rosa why she married Ruben, so she explains that she fell in love with him...but he changed little by little. She thought she was rid of him when he went to prison. After she cries that she doesn’t want to lose her daughter. Oso assures her that that won’t happen.

Eva overhears Max being asked about the woman he left the seminary for. Max tells them that the woman is in love with someone else.

Ivan meets with Sergio, the attorney Diego met with. Sergio tells Ivan that Diego wants to put Brenda in jail for burning down his house....there are witnesses. Sergio explains that he is taking the case and will do his best to win since he is a professional.

Oso models a new jacket for Ringo. Ringo asks Oso if he can borrow the gym to practice for his competition. Oso teases him and agrees, but warns him that getting involved with a married woman is dangerous. Afterwards, Ringo texts Julia to meet her at the gym, but she tells him that she can’t go. After Ringo insists and Diego tells Julia that he is going out to dinner with Turco, Julia changes her mind and tells Ringo that she is going over.

Credits roll.

Thanks again to Rgv Chick who supplied the substance of what occurred. I am so grateful and appreciative.

This is a long week for me and I apologize that I was unable to respond to your very kind, supportive comments today. They mean a great deal to me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am in training again tomorrow but look forward to checking in early and then late in the day to see what everyone has to say.

RINGO

Diana, thanks for another great recap and spot on (and very funny) title. “let ‘em fester I say . . .” was the best!

My favorite scene: Oso punching Rubén.

So now we know that Rubén is threatening Rosa with never seeing her daughter again. Since he is out on parole, isn’t there some way she could report him for domestic violence (he did violently grab her and there was a witness who felt the need to protect her since she wouldn’t punch him out herself) ??????? and protect her daughter and preserve her rights at the same time????? A divorce is way overdue. She should have gotten one while he was in prison.

I am impressed that finally someone aka Diego isn’t letting Brenda off the hook but am wondering if he will try to use his prosecution of Brenda to control Julia.

RINGO

Thanks so much Jarifa!

"So now we know that Rubén is threatening Rosa with never seeing her daughter again". Arrrgh, exactly! Seeing such a sweet but very strong woman reduced to being assaulted and threatened with taking her child away was sickening. Also, now that he realizes Rosa has a viable income, he may be less likely to let her go. I hope he rots in jail. Permanently.

Diego was incensed by the fire (no pun intended). He seemed determined to press charges. Period. I did wonder that if he really loved Julia, would he do that rather than trying to work with her to get Brenda the help she needs? His moral compass is so askew it's hard to know what he is thinking. He could indeed use that threat to "control" Julia...

I appreciate your kind words Jarifa.

DIANA, loved this thoughtful analysis:

Yes, our heroine is emotionally unfaithful to her husband. And granted he's a sleaze. But she doesn't actually know that. And our "hero" is hotly pursuing a woman who is married. I really like my heroes and heroines to be people with ethical standards and kind hearts. They've got the kind hearts going on but the "standards" , not so much.

Having a real struggle with not really liking the two main characters, and therefore not finding their mutual attraction appealing. But the recaps are great. Thoughtful, well analyzed and written with a lot of wit and wisdom.

Thanks for these gems Diana. And again sending you good vibes((((())))) for a long grueling day at work.

Season 2 #116
(1)

Vildan is on a hospital bed with Nihan at her side. Nihan continues to touch her stomach with one hand while holding her parents’ wedding bands on the other.

Leyla is seen fixing a bed and makes empanadas. She cleans the front porch of her home.

Hakan brings the officer Ozan’s archive, and says that the case is complicated because it seems Ozan had no reason to commit suicide, and to top it off, the file indicates that Ozan was poisoned. The officer is uninterested and tells him that the case has been closed, but Hakan is not convinced. He exits the office and makes a phone call to Selin in the hallway. He asks if he has any information, but the Selin says none. Hakan holds the photos of Zeynep and Emir, and says he’s sure something will come out soon.

Emir is still unconscious, being watched by Galip. He remembers Kemal saying “I’ll kill you,” and suddenly comes back to consciousness. “Could it have been better, father?” He asks. Galip awakens to his voice and starts to caress his son. Emir asks where Kemal is, and Galip says that he’s still pending a never ending trial. Emir asks if Kemal will be a candidate for the death penalty (electric chair). Galip confirms, as he knew it’s what he would want. Emir then focuses on Nihan and asks where she is. Galip gives him the news that Ozan committed suicide, and that Onder died too. Emir doesn’t seem to believe what happened and wants to get out of bed, but the pain stops him. He asks Galip to stop Nihan from running away.

Vildan, Nihan and Efsame walk out of the hospital. Vildan still refuses to talk and Efsame says she isn’t sure that taking her out of the hospital is a good idea. Suddenly Vildan sees Leyla approach her. “I’ve come to take you home,” Leyla says “I’ve washed the floors with lavender water, I put the satin pillows you love, in the living room. Vildan, you won’t be alone.” Vildan breaks down and hugs Leyla, who can barely hold her own tears. “They’re both gone” Vildan cries. Leyla tells her that they need to go now. “Life continues, Vildan. This is the way it should be.” They walk away, while Nihan looks up at the sky and says “We will leave someday too.” She touches her stomach again.

Emir is telling his father that Nihan must be stopped from running away because this situation will only unite her to Kemal further, especially now that there’s nothing holding Nihan back. Galip doesn’t think so because Nihan chose to testify against Kemal out of her own will. Emir reiterates that Nihan will precisely leave because of that reason, to which Galip finally agrees that it may be possible. Emir says he will find a way to stop her from escaping.

Kemal is showering and a random man appears outside the stall, holding a knife. The man in the blue shirt appears and holds the stabber in place when Kemal sprays scalding water into his face and demands him to leave the area, with a warning that if he attempts to do this again he will lose his tongue. The criminal runs out of there. The man in the blue shirt first asks Kemal if he’s ok, but then warns him to be careful who he messes with, because someone is after him. Kemal thanks him, but the man brushes that aside and says that while he may not be a member of the gang, he’s not one to go down without a fight either. He rambles about how this particular shower area isn’t safe, when two guards come for Kemal, asking if he was already causing problems. Kemal exclaims “I didn’t do anything!” The man in the blue shirt says “don’t forget that in this place, the guilty pay just as much as the victims do.” Kemal is forcefully taken out of the shower area.

Zeynep wakes up in a hospital. The Dr tells her to calm down, that she was sent to the hospital and they noticed she had no form of ID in her belongings. Zeynep asks where her bag is because she had money in there. The Dr responds that they will contact the police to find her bag, and that her family will be contacted as well. Zeynep is losing her patience and blurts that she has no family and doesn’t need the police to get involved. The Dr asks if she’s running away from someone and Zeynep says no, she just wants to find her bag. The Dr then tells her that she had a strong hemorrhage when she was brought in. Zeynep starts to get upset and begs her not to say that she lost her child. The Dr simply says “You’re still young.” She walks away when Zeynep gets angry and starts yelling “This can’t be! It was the only hope I had left!”

Vildan is in the back seat of Leyla’s car, with Nihan sitting next to Leyla in the front. Nihan gets a call from Emir: “My love, it seems I’m the only one who didn’t die.” “Emir?” She asks. “I’m sorry. Where are you?” he asks. “That’s none of your business,” she retorts. Emir reminds her that he came back from the dead, and he begins to vaguely threaten her by asking “How many more people need to die?” When Nihan hangs up, she covers her face. Leyla asks Nihan if she’s ok, and Nihan says “Emir woke up.”

Emir requests that the Dr leave the room, and Galip gets up to get coffee. Emir calls Tufan over: “How is your mother, Tufan?” Tufan says “I tried to do as you said, but it was difficult. Mr. Emir, I had to shoot you.” He then asks if his mother is ok. Emir tells him to go home and find out for himself. Tufan runs out of there. The Dr comes back at that moment to run some tests on Emir. When he tests his leg, Emir panics when he realizes that he cannot feel it. He gets up, but falls to the floor. Galip tries to calm him down by saying that this is only temporary. The Dr explains that the bullet went through his abdomen and crossed to the side of his spine, which damaged his ability to walk. The bullet is still lodged there, which was the decision Galip made because Emir would have ended up paralyzed if it was extracted. Emir is livid that he’s paralyzed and has to live the rest of his life with Kemal Soydere in his bone. He tells Galip he’ll never forgive him for this, not even when he’s on his deathbed, Galip tries to appease him, but Wmir isn’t having it. When the men try to help Emir up, he tells them to leave him alone. He sits there with a wide eyed alien face.

Kemal is thrown into a a dirty solitary cell. He’s livid, yelling that he’s been set up. He hits the door, but no one is interested in what he has to say. “Where is justice? You’re treating me unfairly. Get me out of here now!” The man who tried to stab him (?) comes and mocks Kemal. “I know who you’re working for,” Kemal says. The man closes the slot in the door and Kemal is alone.

Vildan is sitting on the couch, crying out Ozan’s name. Nihan sits next to her and asks “Mom, lets go far away from here.” Vildan says she doesn’t want to leave Ozan and Onder behind. Nihan pleads again but Vildan cuts back with “Emir won’t let you go anyway.” “I’m not asking for his permission, please, let’s leave.” Vildan sits there, obviously not wanting to leave. Leyla calls out her sister’s name, and Vildan says “I have a grandson now.”

Tufan arrives to his mother’s home. He calls out for her and searches everywhere he can think of. He sinks to the floor in the hallway and his mother suddenly appears, asking what’s wrong. Tufan took a moment to process that she hasn’t died. They hug.

AMOR ETERNO #116

Hakan is with Zeynep outside of the precinct, and he says he hopes that she gets better. Zeynep looks up and asks if she’s under their watch now, or if she’s being accused of something. Hakan says no. Zeynep then asks to be released because she has many things to do. Hakan mentions that she would be busy with her husband’s funeral. He cuts to the chase and brings up the money she claims to have lost in her purse: he doesn’t understand why she was carrying so much money, much less in a bus station. Zeynep says that she’s Ozan Sezin’s wife, of course she carries a lot of money wherever she goes. Hakan asks what she was doing at the terminal. Zeynep answers that she was simply passing by. Hakan then brings up her husband’s apparent suicide. Zeynep says she doesn’t want to talk about that right now, but Hakan presses if perhaps she has something to do with it? She gets offended and says she had a relationship with Ozan prior to the marriage and how dare he ask these things right now in the moment of grief. Suddenly the Soyderes appear with Asu. Hakan claims he called her family to pick her up and notices that Zeynep doesn’t look happy to see them. Fehime and Hussein coddle their daughter, while Asu asks Zeynep if she didn’t think it was irresponsible of her to disappear like that. Tariq asks Zeynep where she was the entire time. She responds that she was so distraught she swears she went out for a walk and was going home without her purse when she fell. Hakan is intently listening to her story and catches her lie. Hussein asks her why she didn’t ask Tariq to pick her up and take her home, or at least have called a taxi? Zeynep pleads that her family no longer chastise her. Fehime then tells Tariq to give Zeynep the phone, and asks her to call Vildan. Zeynep is confused and doesn’t understand why, but Hussein also tells her that she needs to speak to her mother in law now.

Vildan is in bed and answers Zeynep’s call: “Come see me as soon as possible. I’m at Leyla’s house. I need to talk to you about my grandson.” Zeynep hangs up and is shocked that Vildan wants to see her right now. Fehime urges her to go. Zeynep says that she’s still feeling unwell.

Nihan is out in Leyla’s patio with Yasemin. “Kemal is responsible for my brother’s death,” she says. Yasemin tells her not to say that anymore, but Nihan says “Don’t believe it, but I can’t forget it...I need to leave, as far away as possible, where no one can find me.” The friends hug as they overlook the seaport, while Leyla watches them from her doorway.

It’s nightfall when Zeynep visits Vildan, who’s laying in bed as if she’s dying from a terminal illness. “I need you to listen to me, please. There’s something that unites us: the only legacy my son has left is inside you, thank God,” Vildan tells her. Zeynep starts to cry and says “I’m sorry for everything that has happened.” Vildan says “From now on you’ll take care of my grandson. You’ll stay here with me.” Zeynep notices a photo of Ozan and starts to cry.

Nihan calls Zehir to ask him to take her to Kemal. Zehir addresses her as “Sister in law,” and tells her that that would be difficult, and nothing could possibly be done about it. He suddenly gets a random thought and mentions that there may be something she can do after all.

Kemal is on the floor, counting up to 39. He falls asleep for a while, then he’s seen doing push-ups. When the sun is up, a pigeon is seen watching him from the window rails. Kemal smiles at the bird. As the day goes on, Kemal is sitting hunched against the wall, looking at his Infiniti loop tattoo. Soon he’s on the mattress and notices a guard (or fellow inmate?) bring him some food. Kemal asks about his lawyer, and the man promises to do something about that.

AMOR ETERNO #116
(4)

Asu and the lawyer are asking the director of the penitentiary why they aren’t allowed to see Kemal. He’s unmoved and Asu threatens that they will have to address this in human rights court. When Asu and the lawyer exit his office, Asu is angry that the director is purposefully being difficult and doesn’t want to help to get Kemal out of solitary.

Zehir drove Nihan to the jail. She says “Do you think this will work?” And Zehir says “It will soon.” She thanks him and says her goodbye, while Zehir gets concerned and asks her if he’ll never see her again. She doesn’t tell him that she’s running away, but mentions that they won’t see each other for a while. As soon as Zehir notices Asu coming out of the entrance, he lets Nihan go and gets into his car to drive away unnoticed. Nihan is heading straight to the entrance and is unfazed seeing Asu walk towards her. “What are you doing here?” Asu demands. Nihan walks past her; the lawyer reminds Asu that Nihan cannot see Kemal because she isn’t a blood relative. Asu makes a phone call and tells the listener (the media?) that she very valuable information to offer right now.

Nihan is convincing the director of the penitentiary to let her see Kemal in complete privacy. She says that she will tell Emir later that she spoke to Kemal, and adds that she knows the director is working with her husband in this particular matter. She mentions that Emir would be grateful to him for this. The director appears to soften and says he will see what he can do for her. Nihan remembers Emir telling her once that his name will open not just many doors for her, but all of them. She tries to milk this all she can, and the director steps out of the office.

Kemal is laying down and watching the sunset. He holds his hand up to block the light and starts counting again, asking for Nihan to get out of his mind, that he wants to forget her. He’s reminiscing when they were both young and hugging each other, holding their hands out to the sunset. Kemal breaks out of the memory by taking his bedsheet and putting it up to the window to cover the sunset.

A guard comes into the cell and asks Kemal if three days have really made him crazy already. He reaches up to the window to take down the bedsheet, but Kemal orders him to leave it there. The guard asks if he’s really one to be giving him orders, but Kemal simply says he’s only asking him to leave it up there. The guard verbally provokes Kemal, but he only receives passive aggressive answers. Not getting the confrontation that he wants, the guard starts to suddenly yell for help, claiming that he’s being attacked by the prisoner. He flings around a chain to make noise and pretends to be getting hit with it. Kemal stands there and asks what he’s doing. The guard then grabs Kemal’s hands and flings them around with the chain, to make it seem that they are struggling with each other. Two guards rush in and they start to beat Kemal up. The instigator asks that Kemal beg for an apology, but Kemal says he won’t do it because he did nothing wrong. They continue to hit him until a fourth guard comes and interrupts them, saying that Kemal has a visitor. The instigator claims that Kemal is in solitary, he gets no visitors, but the fourth one says that the director approved this particular visit. The three guards then warn Kemal that this isn’t finished yet and they will see each other later. They leave and the fourth guard stays to handcuff Kemal. He asks if he’s ok. When Kemal asks if his lawyer came to visit him, the guard says “It’s Nihan Kozcouglu.” Kemal is shocked.

AMOR ETERNO

Hello,

Yes, Nett, you guessed right on Emir. He's still blackmailing her, and he'll probably end up using the baby against her. If the baby is born under his last name, he'll have full rights over the child.

Nina, I agree that Nihan is focusing on her revenge more than she is on justice. She suffers from tunnelvision. I wonder if tonight we'll see her do something right for once, or if she'll only continue to rub her revenge in his face. Not sure what Zehir's plan is.

Asu apparently likes to solve everything with the media. Not sure what her angle is there, I think it makes her look dumber. Doesn't she have the money to pay the director off? Or someone in that jail to look after Kemal?

I wonder when everyone will find out Zeynep lost the baby. I also feel that no one seems to care as much about Onder's death as they do about Ozan. Vildan wasn't crying about Onder at all.

Ring-Oh!

You know, I'm not really getting tired of TNs, I just wish they did not seem to be aimed at an audience a cup and saucer short of a full place setting.

We have ole Rueben show up all tough guy, with no muscle definition and a baaaaad attitude. Fresh out of prison and already doing something with transporting drugs or something. Then there is sweet Rosa, no criminal record, working hard at at least one or maybe two jobs and he wants to take away a daughter we have never seen and she is out there doing the Tree-Cry. HUH? Tell the jerk to pound sand, and get a divorce ASAP, like in 2015.

RINGO

Thank you, Diana! I know you had a long day and you still managed to whip out your usual excellence. Your title is perfect and your prologue is yet another example of your gifted writing.

Jarifa, it seems that we keep having the same favorite scenes. I cheered when Oso whooped RUben ass (well chin) and knocked him out...with one solid punch! I was even more impressed that he was able to be so convincing with his threat to sent Ruben back to prison if he didn't leave town...yet I wonder how such a strong, towering individual cna turn on his faucet of tears at the drop of a hat.

JudyB, "A man and woman whose chemistry was verging on the combustible. There was no need for passionate, physical kisses. What transpired emotionally was evident on every second on that tape. A visual confirmation that infidelity be committed with the heart alone." You have such a flair for words and always seem to express my thoughts with such eloquence. Julia and Ringo are not my favorite couple either right now. If Julia hadn't gotten married, then I would feel differently, but she went in with her eyes wide open despite Eva's and ROsa's persistent and very appropriate advice.

Kirby, you gotta remember what country this is in; and being that Rosa comes from a very humble and old-fashioned background, it is understandable (to me) that she would be frightened and coerced by her husband. I don't think it has even crossed her mind that she can fight for custody of her little girl or report her husband for abuse. I just hate these storylines because it shows how ignorant some women can still be.

ETERNO

AnonFri, thank you for another excellent recap which clearly shows your talent in conveying events so vividly and in such detail.

I too wonder how long Zeynep can continue with her lies (which she is a master at) and keep the fact that she lost the baby from everyone. So, in essence, Vildan lost 3 family members in one day. Wow, how devastating!

I cringed at Kemal's beating. Can't stand to see that kind of stuff, but I was very impressed that he refused to apologize for something he did not do.

Ringo
RGV...But but but...this same Rosa is a young single (we thought all along) woman BOXING? OK but can they have their cake and eat it too?

I suppose it just pisses me off to see people prove that it is true, people will treat you however you LET them treat you.

However it was almost worth it all to have Oso turn out Pillsbury Doughboy's lights with one seasoned punch.

RINGO

RGV CHICK...Those words were indeed eloquent, but they were Diana's--I just copied and pasted that part of her prologue because I thought it was so beautifully and accurately stated. She is an amazing writer and proves it again and again in these recaps. But thanks for thinking it was me! Very flattered.

AMOR ETERNO

Hi everybody!

AnonFri, great to see you back and in fine form after the descanso. Your spectacular recaps keep us going! Thank you.

Susanlynn, I'd been wondering whether/why you gave up watching. Thanks for chiming in.

Not much to say. Agree with Rgv Chick, so painful to see Kemal in prison, worse in solitary confinement becoming unhinged and being beaten. Wishing his prison experience was more like Ozan's where his cellmates seemed to look after him!

Hope this angsty phase does not last too long. But tough to see how Kemal and Nihan can rebuild their relationship after all this. Not quickly anyway. Her icy glare when she walked in the courtoom was fierce. Now is she going to tell Kemal about her pregnancy?

I too have a hard time seeing Zeynep involved in Ozan's killing. I noticed that the guard talking to the killer used the familiar "tu" form, which scales back some of the possibilities. So many one-sided phone convos in this TN!

At least Tufan's mom is okay and we got to see two positive characters last night -- Leyla and Yasemin -- if briefly. Leyla was very gracious to her sister, considering. AnonFri, yes, odd that Onder seems an afterthought. Yasemin didn't say much, but when she does, she seems sensible and a good friend to poor Nihan.

Well I am a sucker but I really thought Emir was gone. In hindsight, seems obvious he needs to be around to work his alien evil. Doubt his paralysis will have improved his outlook much or curtailed his ability to control Nihan.

RINGO

Kirby, looks like you and I agree that Rosa needs to dump her husband ASAP if not sooner.

That being said, RgvChick, I also understand that some women are ignorant of solutions to their domestic emotional and physical abuse problems or reluctant to take the steps necessary to solve those problems(getting a divorce/making police reports, etc.) because of societal norms or simple fear. That is not jsomething that just happens in Mexico but also right here in the good old USA and in the 21st century. It continues to be a long hard slog for women’s rights around the world. So, even though I find the plot line exasperating, it is a valuable PSA. As for Oso, he is one emotional teddy bear.

ETERNO AMORE

Already he's starting with threats. He
Told Galip not to let her run. Is this man crazy? Now that there is nothing to keep her glued to his cripple butt he Will still try and hold on to her. The Fact that she sits there and just allows that piece of dog sh*t to still threaten her is So annoying.
She has no reason to be afraid of him any longer. Unless she's afraid of him
Maybe having something done to kemal in jail/prison. She Don't know kemal very well he has ways of getting out of jams. I thought that was a stupid ?
That guard asked kemal after he Was hit in both legs with that blackjack, is that what they're called? He ask"are
You alright?" I'm like, what the hell do you think,he just had both his legs
Knocked out from under him." But I'm not there soooo. I hate that nihan did this to him. He was the only one thats fighting for her, and all she did was cow down To pucker puss. Speaking of..

He's having a fit cuz he can't feel his skinny legs cuz Galip told doc not
To go after the bullet stuck in his sorry spine. HaHa kemal can walk and you can't. Serves you right jerk. But

It will be a wonderful day in turkey when Hussein and fehima take off the rose colored sunglasses so they can see that their other 2 children are as dumb as a box of dried manure. Vildan Is just hurt her baby and husband died

Wonder about it.

Good recap AnonFri. Truely enjoyed it.

RINGO

Thanks, Diana. Clever title. And your description of that tape is a bull's eye.

I just need to hear Julia say at least once to herself, "Dang, I should'na married Diego." A friend's niece filed for divorce soon after returning from her honeymoon. I admired her so much for fessing up to her mistake despite the embarrassment and all the gossip it caused. But Julia shoulders on in denialville.

Count me in on the frustration with Rosa. She's been a determined woman, who left her town and daughter with her mother to build a new life, but crumbles at her husband's threats. No judge in their right mind would award custody of the kid to him, plus the last thing he wants is to be the main caretaker of the kid. I know this is a PSA, but it's at the expense of the Rosa we've come to know.

Amor Eterno

Clara , I just couldn't stand watching an hour or crying and frowning and scheming ...too frustrating.

Ringo

Regarding Rosa and her abusive husband, when I started dating Hub, I had never dated any guys who were as big and athletic as he was and before I discovered that he was a gentle giant and a teddy bear of a guy , I told him that if he ever raised a hand to me, I would call my father and the state police and not necessarily in that order.. Never had to...he was a gentle, loving, soul and so protective.Nobody should allow himself or herself to be abused by another.

RINGO

A sincere thanks to Jarifa, Judy, Rgv Chick and Niecie. I really appreciate your kind words. Hearing you liked the recap and that it made you smile (or laugh) is high praise and very much appreciated. It makes the time and effort worthwhile.

Glad you stopped by Kirby and Susanlynn.

Forgive my lateness - I hope to be back on track next week.

RINGO
Ep. 30, Part 1: And When We (They) Get Behind Closed Doors

Previously: Julia agreed to meet Ringo at the gym to practice for the dance competition.

Eva meets with Max and wants to discuss the woman he left the seminary for; they both know it is her. It is very flattering, but she doesn’t want to hurt him because she can’t return the feelings ..no one can rule the heart. Max tells her not to worry…he now knows that he met her, not to change his vocation, but to confirm his faith. He now needs to go back to the seminary and resume his studies. Eva thinks that he can’t deal with the frustration and wants to hide in the seminary.

Julia arrives at the gym and feels like she is doing something bad. Ringo teases her about thinking that this is a date with her lover. Julia reminds him that they are there to practice so he shows her a video of a dance he would like to use for the competition. Before practicing, Ringo suggests that they warm up…and start with some stretches.

Posco, a friend who is a seminarian, comes to see Max to tell him how happy he is that he is returning to the seminary. After Max introduces him to Eva, Eva asks Max to think about what she told him.

El Chimo pays Alejo for another fight…in which he did very well. (But if Alejo looks like that, id; hate to see what the other guy looks like.)

Gauchin goes to visit Rosa, but she asks him to leave before Ruben returns. He sees that she is upset and wonders what she is afraid of; so she tells him that Ruben threatened to take her daughter if she didn’t return with him to their town.

Antunes sees Zorra making googoo eyes at Rafa; so he warns her not to get distracted. After he leaves, Rafa sits with Zorra and invites her for dessert…somewhere else, more private. After she agrees, he goes to tell Oso that he just saw Zorra and asks if they can have dinner some other day. Oso isn’t keen on the idea so Rafa gets an idea and asks for Oso’s phone

After Rosa again asks Gauchin to leave, she gets a call from Rafa to tell her that Oso is waiting for her to have dinner at the cantina. Oso gets the phone, so Rosa tells him that she would like to go but isn’t sure that she can go; Oso tells her that he will be waiting for he. After she hangs up, Gauchin reproaches her for running him off so that she can go meet with Oso.

Alejo arrives at his house to find Manuel waiting for him. When Manuel sees Alejo all beat up, he wonders what he has gotten himself into and warns him that street fighting is very dangerous. Alejo tells him to stay out of his life…his private life is just that…private!

Rafa and Zorra arrive at the club and start making out in the hall when they hear music. They peak in to see Julia and Ringo dancing; so they go to his room. After they leave, Carrizo shows up and peaks in; he smirks as he watches Julia and Ringo.

RINGO
Ep. 30, Part 2: And When We (They) Get Behind Closed Doors

Turco ends a call and tells Ivan and Diego that it was his therapist. He then suggests that this therapist can help them and Brenda with their problems; so he calls back his therapist and tells her that he wants 3 more appointments for his friends, but Ivan tells him that he doesn’t need any help getting his life in order. They then talk about the rematch with Ringo. Ivan snaps that they weren’t able to finish the discussion with Ringo because they had to go get him out of jail in Queretaro. Turco then calls Carrizo who tells him that he is watching Julia cheat on Diego. Turco then tells Diego who fumes as he gets up and leaves.

Zorra tells Rafa that she didn’t know he lived at the club. When he asks if she wants a drink or to listen to music, Zorra would rather have dessert…lips, tongue, and all!

Antunes is with Oso discussing the match. When Oso expresses his disdain about it being a fixed fight between Zorra and Rosa. Antunes reminds him that it was an agreement to make sure Ringo fought his rematch.

At the club, Julia and Ringo are dancing. He tells her that he needs her there…to practice their dance of course. As they dance and chat, Diego arrives and sees them. Turco follows close behind and stops Diego from entering. He advises Diego that if he confronts them, he will only be heading for a divorce. Diego insists that he can’t let someone like Ringo take Julia from him; so, Turco tells him to think about it and get his revenge on Ringo, not Julia…he will help him think of something

Zorra and Rafa are making out on the couch when Carrizo bursts in and asks what Zorra what she is doing there. Zorra rushes out and Rafa runs after her.

Turco turns the dagger by telling Diego that Julia and Ringo look good together. As they talk, Rafa, Zorra and Carrizo rush by yelling and Ringo and Julia hear them; so, they immediately stop dancing. Rafa tries to stop Zorra, but she jumps into a taxi and leaves. Afterwards, Rafa tries to get into it with Carrizo but Oso arrives and runs Carrizo off.

Ringo looks out the door and tells Julia they are gone. When Ringo tries to kiss her, Julia admits that she is dying to kiss him, but she can’t because they won’t be able to stop. Julia leaves saying that she shouldn’t have come.

Inside, Rafa thinks Oso is going to scold him, but Oso gives a hearty laugh and tells him that he is exactly like he was. He suggests that if Rafa needs a place to see Zorra more than a few times, he should go to a motel. Oso then sits Rafa down and tells him that he wants him to have his last name. He should think about it; and no matter what he decides nothing will change between them.

Ringo texts Julia to see if she is okay. Julia feels really bad; she wants to be with him, but she knows she can’t. So Ringo tells her not to feel bad since they both know how to resolve the problem. Julia then sneaks into her bedroom where Diego is already in bed. When he asks her if she just arrived, she tells him to go back to sleep as she goes to her bathroom. Diego curses under his breath…she will pay!

Manuel tells Oso that the repairs on his house are finished so he will be leaving the club. Manuel then tells him about Alejo being involved in street fighting and suggests that Oso talk to Alejo and offer to train him as a boxer so he can leave that type of fighting.

RINGO
Ep. 30, Part 3: And When We (They) Get Behind Closed Doors

Diego calls someone who does “jobs” and wants to hire him. They agree to meet at the club. Turco walks in with his therapist and tells Diego that he brought her because Diego needs her help…and Julia also needs to participate in the sessions so that they can save their marriage. Turco just wanted to help, but Diego refuses and tells them he has to leave.

Rafa goes to see Sandra to tell her that Oso wants to give him his last name. Sandra is not in agreement, but Rafa is very happy that Oso wants to do that…they are getting along very well and things are getting even better. Rafa assure her that accepting Oso’s last name won’t change how he feels about her.

Eva tells Manuel about Max returning to the seminary. She thinks it’s a mistake and Manuel does too; so he asks to talk to Max. Once Max enters, Manuel congratulates him for the good job he has been doing. He tries to give him a new case, but Max tells him that he is returning to the seminary. Manuel points out ha Max is an excellent attorney and thinks Max is hiding his head like an ostrich. Manuel wants to know why he told Eva before he told him, and then assume that Eva is the woman Max left the seminary for. When Max admits it, Manuel tells him he should fight for his love. If he doesn’t want to do that then he can leave and hide in the seminary. After Manuel asks him to think about it, he tells Max that he will always have a job there.

Oso teases Ringo about the dancing. As they talk, they see Alejo so Ringo approaches him so that they can look over the contract for the rematch. When Ringo notices the bruises, Oso tells Ringo that Alejo is involved in street fighting. Alejo doesn’t care what they think and tells him to keep out of his business; if they want to keep getting along with him, they’d better not talk about this again. At a distance, Diego points out Ringo to the man he hired and tells the man that he wants Ringo to know that he shouldn’t be messing with him. It’s up to the man how he gives Ringo the message. Just then, Julia arrives and asks what message they are talking about.

Alejo storms into Manuel‘s office and chides him for telling Oso about the street fighting. After Manuel calls him son, Alejo growls that he is not his son…and he’d better stay out of his business or he will leave the firm!

Diego explains to Julia that Mancuso (Luis Gática!) is a new trainer for Turco. After Mancuso leaves, Diego wonders what she is doing there and points out that Julia arrived late last night. After she gives him a lame excuse, she asks if something wrong since Diego is standing looking coldly at her. Just then, Ivan approaches and tells Julia that he is there to see her uncle. Before leaving Diego grabs Julia and gives her a forceful kiss

Julia enters Teresa’s cafeteria and sees Rosa working there. Teresa approaches and asks Rosa to go for some fruit so Julia offers to take Rosa.

Diego eavesdrops on Ivan’s conversation with Manuel. He listens as Ivan tells Manuel about Diego going ahead with the case against Brenda. He knows that there isn’t any hard evidence, but he is still worried. Manuel tells him that there is evidence since Damasio found a bag with the clothes Brenda was wearing on the day of the fire. Manuel assumes that if they saw the bag, then Diego’s investigators probably saw it too. If Diego’s attorney’s present the statements form the witnesses and the burnt clothes, the judge will open a case against Brenda. Ivan wants to avoid that, so Manuel advises that he come to an agreement with Diego.

RINGO

RgvChick, loved the title as well as the recap. I hadn’t thought of that song in years. Thanks!

Nope, dancing at the gym wasn’t a smart decision for Ringo and Julia if they wanted to keep their meeting on the down low. It seems that neither of them has much common sense. I think I have said something similar before . . . .Turco sure poured fuel on that fire with his suggestion that Diego hit the gym. That was funny. Then again, Diego is a part of this “not too swift” crowd taking relationship advice from Turco . Gauchin (a member of the same crowd) needs to realize ALREADY that Rosa is not interested in him.

For me, the best scene was Oso offering the family name to Rafael. It was the “Awwww” moment of the night.

All in all, an entertaining episode.

RINGO

Rgv Chick, sensational. As soon as I saw the title I smiled. Excellent choice. A seamless, thoughtful and clever summary, complete with your wise and wonderful wry wit.

I had to pare down my list of favorites - every line was "cut and paste" worthy!

"When he asks if she wants a drink or to listen to music, Zorra would rather have dessert…lips, tongue, and all!" Perfect!

“El Chimo pays Alejo for another fight…in which he did very well. (But if Alejo looks like that, id; hate to see what the other guy looks like”. Yes, Rgv Chick, I felt the same way. It’s hard to watch Alejo bearing red and ugly bruises (but relieved we were mercifully spared watching the fight). Watching him harden and stew in bitterness is even more difficult. He has Oso, Manuel and Ringo, friends ready and willing to help. But dark forces are prevailing at the moment.

"Julia admits that she is dying to kiss him, but she can’t because they won’t be able to stop. Julia leaves saying that she shouldn’t have come." Such understatement. Yet, there is absolutely no resolve to stop seeing him is there??

"Oso gives a hearty laugh and tells him that he is exactly like he was" also had me smiling. Jarifa, this was also my favorite scene. Oh, that Cesar laugh!

I get the feeling the actors here are relishing their parts and enjoying themselves. The expressions on Turco's face as he was pouring salt in Diego's wound as he watched Julia and Ringo dance were great. While Rosa is definitely not for Gauchin, I winced when I saw the tears in his eyes. Ahhh, unrequited first love.

Another highlight for me was seeing Luis Gatica. Sigh. Alfredo Gatica (Turco) has such a handsome father. I suppose Julia ruined their plans by showing up at that inopportune time?

"Manuel tells him he should fight for his love". Well he convinced me (not sure about Max though). :)

A superior wpisode eclipsed only by the recap. Thank you Rgv Chick!

Diana

Diana, thanks for the info on the Gaticas. I had not realized they were father and son. I think Oso is my favorite character here followed by Rosa.

RINGO

Good Morning, my early birds and thank you for your kind words and insightful comments.

Jarifa and Diana, ITA, that scene with Oso and Rafa was definitely a fav and an “awww” moment. Our dear Cesar keeps stealing the show :-)

Diego and Turco are a match made in hell, but I had to laugh at Turco trying to give Diego advice and trying to push his therapist on him. At least he had good intentions albeit somewhat twisted.

I also agree that it is hard to watch Alejo, not only with his bruised face, but to see him pound away at his friendships. Que triste!

On my way out to feed the animalitos...be back later!

RINGO

Jarifa, at first I thought Luis was Alfredo's uncle but I think he is his father. Strong similarity. Oso is also my hands down favorite but Manuel is next and Rosa is a doll. I also like Teresa and of course little Santi.

"Diego and Turco are a match made in hell" could not be more true Rgv Chick. I think Diego loathes Turco but he's in his orbit and no escaping. :)

AMOR ETERNO
Season 2 #117
(1)

Kemal asks if his lawyer came to visit, but is shocked to hear Nihan’s name instead.

Nihan awaits for Kemal in the director’s office. She’s thinking about her newfound relationship with Kemal: “Could you fight against your heart if the love of your life turned into your enemy?”
Kemal opens the door and glares at Nihan before coming in. The guard awaits outside.
“What are you doing here?” Kemal asks, standing behind her.
Nihan looks down first and then turns around to look at him: “I’m pregnant.”
Kemal continues to look straight ahead.
“I’ve come here to tell you, in spite of everything. Without caring about what’s happened” she says.
He turns to look at her and says “and yet you’re here with me in spite of everything?”
“It’s not like that”
“Deny it as much as you want.” He gets closer to her. “Now my heart beats inside you.”
“Do you think I’m here to give hope to the man who killed my brother and father? I’m here to hurt you Kemal. Because my son-“
Kemal interrupts her and places his hand lightly over her stomach. He clarified that it’s their daughter.
Nihan tells him that he’ll never get to meet his daughter because she’ll hide her from him forever: “Now you’ll know what it feels like to lose someone you love.”
“My daughter won’t be hidden from me,” Kemal says “much less to be raised by that man. I’ll find her wherever you take her.” He holds Nihan’s wrist. “You want it that way because you hope it cleans your past. I’ll be so close by, like your own breath. You’ll wait for me. And I’ll always be traveling near you.” He had circled her and then attacks with a hug from behind. “There’s no other alternative but for us to be together.”

Nihan’s daydream is interrupted and the director comes to tell her that her visit has been rejected. Nihan asks if Kemal was aware that she’s the visitor. The director says that yes, but he refuses to see her and specifically said that he doesn’t want her to come ever again. She gets angry and says “I guess he doesn’t deserve to hear the truth.” She exits the room and the director is left confused.

Kemal is still suffering in the solitary cell.

The media greets Nihan at the exit of the penitentiary. They ask her questions about Kemal and Emir’s confrontation, but the question that angered her the most was when they asked if Emir is the father of her child. She clearly states “Of course I’m expecting Emir’s child,” and goes straight to her car to escape.

Zeynep visits Emir at the hospital. She tells him that she lost everything, including their child. Emir clarifies that she actually lost Ozan’s child, that he was given the test results prior to the confrontation with Kemal. He also says “You lost someone who loved you, and chose me instead.” Zeynep gets angry and starts to blame Emir for everything that’s happened, realizing that he probably planned everything from the start. Asu then enters the room and says “What about you? You’re the one taking advantage of your brother’s silence. You’ve come to see Emir, Yet your brother is in jail because of you.”
Emir says “Let’s just say that I’ve come back from the dead.”
Asu tells him to shut up. Emir remarks that this is the first time he’s seeing that the visitor gets angry at the patient. He asks Asu why she is so mad at him. Zeynep takes the opportunity to leave when Emir turns on the tv and happens to catch the scene when Nihan confirms that she’s expecting his child. Zeynep gets upset and asks Emir if they really are going to have a baby. He doesn’t deny it and she walks out of there, so distraught that she had to make a pause in the hallway.
Emir confronts Asu: “Don’t get into my business again!”
“Do you know where Nihan was? She was visiting Kemal” Asu says in a matter of fact way.
“I’m very sad,” Emir says.
Asu says “Kemal is safe in prison, but Nihan is free. She should be thinking about how to protect herself from me.”
Emir tells Asu that she can’t touch Nihan, but she reminds him that he’s the one who’s actually losing control of the situation because he has no proof that the child is his. Emir gets up from his bed and starts to get dressed. “Where are you going?” Asu asks. “Use your brain. Nihan obviously went to tell Kemal that the baby is his. She lied to the media to confuse me” Emir replies.

Nihan is driving and asks her mother to get everything ready so that they can escape. When the call ends, Vildan is left talking to a photo of Ozan: “Don’t be sad my son. I won’t abandon my grandson.”

Hakan catches Zeynep outside the hospital and he asks if she’s come to visit Emir. She replies that it’s none of his business. Hakan asks her what she has going on with Emir. She gets offended and tells him to keep investigating the case on his own because she won’t be wasting her time with him.

Emir calls a minion and asks him to investigate Nihan’s name in all forms of transport. As he’s getting dressed, Asu tells him to go lay down again and notices his bullet wound is bleeding. Emir mocks her because she had just been upset at him moments ago. She says “Use your brain, you don’t need to resort to this tactic to get Nihan back.”
Meanwhile, Galip is out on the hallway and approaches the room when he overhears Emir refer to Asu as “little sister.” Asu tells him to go lay down again and that she will call the doctor, but when she sees Galip, she immediately excuses herself and leaves. Galip wants to know what’s going on and Emir tells him that Nihan is pregnant and will be holding his son hostage if she manages to escape. Galip can’t believe the news but is sidetracked upon seeing Emir’s bullet wound bleeding. Emir tells him to go for Nihan at Leyla’s house, and to put men there to watch over her. Galip runs out.

Ms Chickie, thank you so much. These people.....

Ole Moose is Johnny on the spot isn't he? Every time I see him why do I think of Rocky and Bullwinkle?

I started watching this show halfway through so do not have the background. I am beginning to see that the Delta Boxing club must be a sort of rescue for abandoned boys or something.

Alejo is turning on all his friends. And he is too stupid to see that the one who he thinks is close to him, Brender BiBender, is all an act. Never have short men friends, they are chihuahuas. There is always something to bark at.

Kemal is etching something on the wall. The guard opens the slot on the door and begins taunting him again. He asks Kemal what he’s doing. Kemal shows him the object that he’s using to etch on the wall. The guard orders Kemal to hand over the object. “Come and get it then,” Kemal defiantly says. The guard then tries to taunt him by using Nihan. He holds his cellphone up to the slot, showing Kemal the video of Nihan admitting to the media earlier that she’s expecting a child with Emir. Kemal first sulks in anger and then flings the bed. The guard asks him why he is destroying property, and Kemal gives him a message to take to his boss: “tell him I don’t have any more blood to lose. I’ve died once but I won’t do it again. Someday you’ll die and you’ll know what fear is. All those who have something to lose have better be afraid of me, because I’ll never be stopped.” The guard closes the slot.

Hakan enters Emir’s hospital room. Emir gets annoyed and tells him that he’s not in the mood for an interrogation. Hakan brushes that aside and asks “What reasons did your in law have to commit suicide?”
“He was a weak kid,” Emir coldly responds.
“Or maybe he discovered something very unpleasant?” Hakan asks.
Emir calmly asks Hakan to get close to him, only to scruff him by the neck. He wants to be left alone now. Hakan implies that Emir is behaving like he’s scared, but Emir counters with “Emir Kozcouglu never loses.” Hakan replies that he got him in jail once and he can do it again. Emir replies that if this game continues he can easily end his professional career as a detective, then asks if he has any kids. Hakan does not respond and so Emir orders him to leave again. The detective does as told. Emir then calls his minion: “Did you find her yet? Get to it, then.” He hangs up.

Kemal sits by the cell door. He gets an idea and stands up, hitting the door very loudly. He requests a phone call.

Leyla is at the jail and begs the director to let her see Kemal. The director isn’t moved by her pleading at all, so Leyla continues by claiming she has special permission to see Kemal, who’s like her son. The director has had enough and goes to the door to ask a guard to escort her out of the building. Leyla protests even louder. A man in a gray shirt passes by and hears Leyla’s shouting down the hall so he decides to meddle. He enters the director’s office and asks what the whole commotion is about. Leyla complains that there’s no justification for denying her visit to Kemal, that the prison is paid for with public funds so they cannot do what they want. The man says that things cannot be solved by yelling either, so she should lower her voice. Leyla says that if it’s necessary to be heard, she’ll continue to do it. He says “You better quiet down, Cleopatra. You don’t want problems.” When Leyla doesn’t back down, the man jokingly suggests that he may be able to help her: “Although he’s the director of the penitentiary, I am actually the director of visitors.” She retorts that it appears she gone to visit a stable rather than a prison. She stands her ground and tries to ignore him, but he continues to bother her. The man and the guard then walk out to the hallway when the director finally concedes and asks them both to bring Kemal Soydere. The director of visitors ask the guard to bring him information on Kemal Soydere.

Emir calls Galip and asks if he’s done what he’s been told earlier. Galip says he’s working on it. Emir tells him to put minions everywhere, including Yasemin’s home. Galip asks his son to calm down because he’ll take care of everything. Emir replies that he’ll calm down when he gets Nihan back.

Nihan is driving and leaves Leyla a voice message: “I know you’ll be mad when you find out that I left without saying goodbye, but I know that you’ll forgive me. Leyla, I can’t breathe in this city, I need to start over. I love you a lot, Leyla. Remember that, please. I love you.” Nihan ends her message.

Kemal is brought to the visitors’ cells and smiles when he sees Leyla. She gets concerned when she notices that he’s limping and has a hand injury. When she gets too close to Kemal, the guard shouts at her to not touch him. Leyla asks Kemal if he’s seen a doctor, but Kemal simply says that he’s ok. He asks her how she got permission to see him, since he knows his visitors get rejected and he was told that she created a scene in the office. Leyla says that it proved difficult, but worth it. When they both sit down, Kemal asks “How is she?”
“They’ve been with me since Ozan and Onder died. They can’t go back to their home, and of course they’re both devastated-“
Kemal interrupts and says “I wasn’t referring to that. She’s pregnant.”
“Pregnant? What are you talking about?”
“You don’t know?”
“She hasn’t told me anything. We haven’t been able to talk” Leyla says.
“She was here earlier, I suppose to tell me that she’s having a baby with that hateful man...or is it mine?”
Leyla is stunned silent and thinks back to the day of Kemal’s engagement, when Nihan was taken to the hospital and had asked the doctor about the results of the pregnancy test she had personally requested. She remembered that the doctor reported it came back negative.
“It’s not your child,” Leyla says. She tells him about Nihan’s negative pregnancy test, and adds “Don’t you think she would have told you if it was yours? She would have-“
Kemal interrupts: “Ok, stop. That’s enough.” He looks dismayed.

Emir is practicing moving his left foot up. An alien phone call comes in. “Did you find her?” He asks.
“Mr. Kozcouglu, Nihan has reserved ten tickets with ten different destinations for next week. We’ve blocked all of them. She won’t be going anywhere.”
“Do you think I’m dumb?” Emir retorts, “She knows she’ll never escape if she doesn’t do it today. Make sure she doesn’t get out of Istanbul.”

Nihan is driving to Leyla’s house when she suddenly notices a car with Emir’s minions up ahead. She backs out of the road unnoticed.

Leyla asks Kemal to put an end to all bad feelings because his trial is in 20 days and he’ll be released. Kemal says that this time things won’t be easy. Leyla doesn’t understand him and he says “Justice is unfair, it belongs to the powerful.”
“Now you’re thinking that way?” She asks.
“That hateful man is still out, and he’s hurt so many people and killed others. My brother, he admitted to committing a murder, and yet he’s out free. And poor Ozan, he was set up and ended up paying a heavy price. And lets not even talk about Zeynep...”
“So it was her fault? And you’re still protecting her?” Leyla asks.
“I’m not protecting her. I’m doing for my parents. They must not find out.”
The guard warns that they have a minute left. Kemal reminds Leyla that he’s not allowed to have visitors and he asks her to tell his family that he’s ok. He also asks that she stay close to Asu. Leyla asks if he will be ok, and he responds “I’ll make justice, even if it doesn’t exist.”

Galip is at Leyla’s home, confronting Vildan about Nihan’s whereabouts. “I don’t know,” she barely responds. “I will not abandon my grandson” Galip defiantly says. Vildan looks at him confused and says “Grandson?” Galip thinks she’s pretending and he tells her that he won’t let Nihan take his grandchild away. He leaves the home and is driven away, while Nihan watches from the side of the road. She immediately gets a phone call from Vildan: “Don’t come here. Galip came looking for you. Are you really pregnant?” Nihan barely confirms and Vildan tells her to escape, to go far away. Nihan wants them to go together, but Vildan says that she will stay, and adds “You must go, don’t be Emir’s victim again, especially now that you’re pregnant.”

AMOR ETERNO #117
(5)

Hakan visits his supervisor at the precinct, who tells him that he’s been reassigned to another case. Hakan realizes that Emir has already pulled some strings.
“I told you that the case was closed. I don’t even know who told you to continue to pursue it” the supervisor says.
“But sir, you know that I can’t leave it. What will happen to my sister?” He asks.
“We’re talking about Emir here. Sorry about that” the supervisor replies, going back to signing a document.

Zeynep closes the door as she exits her family home. She sees Vildan coming up the gate. Vildan smiles and says that she’s there to take her to the gynecologist to see how the baby is doing. Zeynep gets a little nervous and asks when they will go. Vildan says right now. Zeynep immediately lies that she has important things to do and can’t go with her today. Vildan wants to know what can be more important than the baby right now. Zeynep lies that she has a job interview today, that she’ll go with her to the doctor, but some other day. Just as she tries to walk past the mother in law, Vildan snaps back to her mean self and holds Zeynep’s arm rather aggressively and demands to know what is really going on.
“There’s no baby!” Zeynep blurts out.
“What did you say?”
“I had an abortion. I lost him” Zeynep starts to cry.
Vildan completely loses it and starts attacking Zeynep, calling her a killer. Zeynep cries and is sitting on the bench as she’s getting hit, barely defending herself. Fehime rushes out to see what’s happening and manages to stop Vildan’s attack. Fehime hugs her daughter tightly while Vildan cries in agony.

“Nihan hasn’t gone to the workshop. Don’t worry, we’ll find her” Galip informs his son.
“For the second time she’s going to escape from me. But I’ll make her come back and she’ll be on her knees begging me” Emir knowingly says.

Nihan is driving far and carries her passport and other important documents out on the passenger seat. She thinks back to when Kemal gave her the fake documents for their grand escape weeks ago. She remembers their happiness and undying love. Nihan snaps back to reality and continues driving.

Kemal is in bed, restless. He walks around the cell, reaches up to the window at sunset, starts etching on the wall again, gets his meal from the door. He finds a note on it: “We have the offer, what’s the next step?” Kemal looks up and thinks of what to do.

********
Hello,

Business as usual with Emir. Clara, I also had hope that he was officially done, or at least comatose for a while. But he’s back and only hindered by his inability to walk.

I found Vildan’s snap back to her real self scary. It almost seemed like she was faking her grief, but then she sinks back into it when she finds out the baby no longer exists. She should have left with Nihan. Also, Zeynep is so ashamed of herself that she can’t even defend herself? Weird. Maybe she’s just physically weak. At least Zeynep told Vildan the truth, but I don't think that she ever cared for that child to begin with. She was just trying to see who would pay more for that baby.

Nina, thanks for letting me know that the object Kemal was being hit with is a blackjack. I had no idea!

RGV Chick, I hope today we get to see Kemal get out of jail. It's very sad to watch him restless in that small cell.

ETERNO

AnonFri, your recap is just awesome! I felt like I was watching the episode again...you left no stone (detail) unturned!

I was disappointed that Kemal didn't see Nihan; and now he actually thinks that the baby is Emir's. Boohoo! I do hope he gets out of that awful prison soon, but with Emir already pulling strings, what are his chances?

I didn't think Emir's condition would stop him at all; if anything, it's going to make him even more bitter (if that is at all possible) and he will go after Kemal and Nihan with everything he's got...and then some.

Once Kemal does get it out, I hope he figures out where Nihan is. He really deserves to know that the baby is his. Is it too optimistic of me to hope for a happily ever after?

Thanks again, AnonFri! I would really like to give you the recognition you deserve. Would you mind if I put you on the "Recapper Gallery?" You can reply here or send your response to rgvchick627@gmail.com. I will need a pic (doesn't have to be a photo of you) to represent you or I can come up with something for you (maybe one of those fancy, feathery writing pens?). And if you don't mind, let me know what region you are from (a time zone would suffice).

RINGO

Hola everybody. RGV CHICK...thanks for such a complete and detailed recap. I usually watch in the morning, but this morning the Little Tornado arrived with a retinue of 3 other family members, so I decided to just check the recap instead.

Love that country song "Behind Closed Doors". Just perfect for our not too bright, cheating emotionally if not physically couple. The more I do watch this the more I realize how post-iglesia these stories now are. In the past, it would have been a priest suggested to counsel the troubled married couple. Instead we've got kitty-whipped Turco trying to share his therapist. Funny and not funny at the same time.

Always love your asides, and this one may be my all time favorite:

"Zorra would rather have dessert--lips, tongue and all! Whoa, here's another romance proceeding at warp speed. With a proud Papa suggesting a motel for the would-be lovers.

Well, we're definitely in line for lots of drama in this one, and a number of hot romances as well. Thanks for all you do RGV CHICK. Enjoyed this immensely.

Thanks, Rgv Chick. Terrific job. My faves:

Zorra would rather have dessert…lips, tongue, and all!

Turco turns the dagger by telling Diego that Julia and Ringo look good together.

If Julia and Ringo win the dance competition, won't Diego find out? Yep, I’m thinking about this way too much. My goodness, Julia has confessed out loud to Ringo that's she dying to kiss him. There's no way he's going to let up now.

Rgv Chick, yes, Turco pushing his therapist on Diego was funny. It's a hoot to see her traveling behind Turco at the ready to dispense therapy to his associates.

Jarifa, it was nice seeing Rafa so moved that Oso asked him to take his name. When Oso asked Rafa to sit, silly me actually thought Oso was going to give him a review of the birds and the bees lest he produce a Rafito with Zorra!

Diana, I too was muy impactada when Luis Gatica appeared. I hope we get a scene with father and son actors together.

Kirby, yes, it does seem the Delta Boxing Club was a home away from home for Ringo, Alejo, and Turco, boys needing dads. So Oso became the father figure for the young boys. Oso's got a mixed bag. Ringo is good but very hard-headed, Alejo is good but full of anger and resentment about who knows what, and Turco went to the dark side.

AnonFri, girl Iam lovin Your recaps.
It's like watching it for the first time.

I'm hating seeing kemal in that jail cell. And it's only bc emir didnt die.
He is still pulling the strings. And that's the reason nihan didn't get in to see him. The warden was told not to
Let her see him. And now she thinks he just Don't care. That was to to easy
For her to just give up, but that is no surprise to me, cuz the girl would go back to emir every freakin time he
Would threaten her and kemal would end up Loosing the love of his life again.
Nihan, "Now you'll know what it feels like to lose Some one you love". Honey
He been Loosing the one he loves every
Time you run back to that piece of hog
Sh*t that killed your brother & daddy.

Nihan,"do you think I'm here to give hope to the man who killed my brother and father? I'm here to hurt you Kemal because my son- "shes been hurtin him
Everytime she went back to puckerpuss.
They're Havin a daughter.Good,nothing
Wrong with boys. But they're always having boys. ((((((GIRL POWER))))))!
Kemal, "our daughter". I hated to see him put that pretty little dress in the garbage can. But once again she lets kemal get away, because of emir.
She's the problem. How does emir get so much power over these people? Well
I suppose he cant have it if they dont
Give it to him. But..here We are, emir
Rules again.
I hope kemal Gets out tonight, I'm ready to see him walk in slomo with to that beat dressed in those Hugo boss suits that he makes look sooo good.

Ok they're on gotta go.
Thanks Amiga
