La Dona. Is it just me or did that hooded person the Monkee relative's cousins take out of the bowling ally basement seem a bit too tall and leggy to really be the actress playing Monica? And now, in addition to the torture and beating of young women by Arcoiris, we have Lucho;s sadistic whipping of his henchman. Yuck! And of course, a lot of the Monica "rescue" business seems designed just to stretch out the length of this novela.

Thanks for the recap with analysis, Halimacandy. Brilliant!

Looks like Monica is getting the Catamedia/Nachi treatment straight from El Final del Paraíso. Those actors had limited availability and their characters were kidnapped, hooded and caged for most of that series. We only saw Catamedia again at the end and we still don't know where Nachi is.

To clarify on Felina and son, in ESDLC season 5 Felina's ex, Raimundo, returned and we found out their young son was collateral damage in a rival narco drive by shooting years before. BTW, Felina killed her ex when she found out he was doing business with the guys that killed their son. Last night Felina told AG that she had believed her son was dead. So both Felina and her son have miraculously returned from the dead!

One Rainbow Killer down, two to go. Can't see Lalo surviving much longer but it's going to take a lot to bring Junior down. What's dad going to do if/when he finds out?

That scene with Romelia reciting the Confiteor (I Confess) with her daughters, wow. Too bad she'll probably survive getting shot. She belongs in the 8th level of Hell.

Don't like how they are setting up a Noelia and Leon affair--their unofficial work collaboration and that half-naked accidental meeting in the kitchen. Fatima and Angel don't deserve this and I hope nothing happens to them.

Ojeda told Dalila he's in love with her. Is that why he hasn't killed her yet?

Not sure why it is necessary for Amado to have sex with Dalila.

Javi gives Leo his blessing to be with Angela.

Ismael gives Isturriz his blessing to be with Luzma.

Who will win the battle of the hackers? I like both Greñas and Dylan. I feel sorry for Cecilio--his only fault is that he loves Dylan.

Thanks very much, SpanProf, Halimacandy and dondi356, for your very interesting comments. SpanProf and Halimacandy, I think you've identified what bothers me so much about this novela. Navarette Jr. is far too much like sick real-life creeps such as Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer. Frankly, if Telemundo wants to sink that low and appeal to that kind of audience, they should at least put this [expletives deleted] on at 10 pm rather than earlier. 2 am would be even better.

Yes, SpanProf, the body of the woman the men carried out and placed in the trunk struck me, too, as taller than Mónica. Some people have guessed that Danna Paola is pregnant and that's why we're not seeing more of her. I can't remember where, but I think I recall reading that she was involved in another program and so would have only limited time for La Doña2. Whether either of these explanations is true or not, I have no idea.

dondi, I too was somewhat nervous last night at what seemed to be the writers' setting up Noelia and Leon to have sex. I was relieved to see that, at least for now, it didn't happen. It would be refreshing to see a novela where the sight of a woman wrapped in a towel coming out of the shower didn't immediately signal anything except that she now felt clean :-). So too the shirtless Leon. Jeez, if people want to see some impressive looking bodies, they can just tune in a little early and watch part of Exatlón, which as far as I can tell has little else to recommend it.
