I Dreamed A Dream Part 1
"If your dream dies, dream another one. If things don't work out the way you've planned, God has a better plan for you" - Joel Osteen
Seeds of a dream may germinate at any point during one’s lifetime. It may form at an early age, through something or someone, seen or admired. An overarching yearning, a mission, an obsession. One may fight to achieve a dream and be well on the path to success. Yet destiny is not ruled by time, it has a mind of its own. Life is a journey strewn with peril and fraught with danger. Setbacks, obstacles and difficulties can often be overcome by sheer will and determination. But there comes a time when the dream may be in doubt, beyond the physical and mental desire and ability. We are not always in control. There are times fate intervenes and things occur that we simply cannot overcome. When that happens, we must channel our single mindedness, sheer grit and determination and seek another avenue. For we are not only at our best when we struggle to achieve, but when our path is diverted and we summon up the courage to go in a new, uncharted direction. Will this be Rosa’s fate?
Brenda is arguing with Julia, saying she doesn’t understand why she asked Diego to leave the company...she has no right! When Brenda warns her that Julia will only break the company, Julia retorts that if she keeps Diego on, they will definitely be ruined. Julia is exasperated (as are we) and after biting back in frustration, leaves.
Julia complains to Elsa about Brenda although there is no doubt it is Elsa who is far superior in handling Brenda than Julia. Julia asks Elsa that while she takes Rosa to her appointment, to not allow Diego into the house for any reason!
Brenda calls the slithering snake to tell him that she could get nowhere with Julia. When she worries that Julia will break the company, dratted Diego has a plan - it’s not complicated he murmurs, we can make this right. He can help her get her credit cards back and make sure the company isn’t ruined. All she needs to do (he sneers with his forked tongue) is to sign a document giving him control of her shares in the company so that he can make decisions for her.
Guevara is ready for his surgery while Damasio, Guachin, Oso and Susana are there to wish him well. Susana kisses him on the head and as he is ready to be wheeled in, whispers words of encouragement.
The specialist tells Rosa that she has an injury to the 5th vertebrae of her spinal cord. It may be treated with cortisone and exercises, but she will not box again. Rosa is devastated.
Diego and Brenda are at a lawyer’s. The lawyer tries to explain to Brenda what the paperwork is and encourages her to read it. She basically says not to bother. She is ready to sign as she has an appointment with her stylist. She signs over her shares to Diego as he bares his teeth, showing a snide self-satisfied smile.

I Dreamed A Dream Part 2
While Julia is sympathetic and supportive of Rosa, she agrees that the doctor is right. Rosa is decimated and shakes her head. She laments all the sacrifices she made and for nothing! Rosa leaves the office crying why did this have to happen to her! Her dream to be a boxer has ended. She asks Julia what else could be done but Julia emphasizes that if she boxes she will only exacerbate the injury. Rosa cries that she wanted to buy a small house so that she could bring Rocio to live with but now that will never happen. Julia assures her that though this path has ended, another path is sure to open.
At the hospital Oso anxiously waits to hear from Rosa. She calls and relays the bad news to a shocked Oso. Everything has ended...her dream to be a boxer is finished. He needs to cancel her fight with La Japonesa. Julia gets the phone and tells Oso that Rosa is devastated and can’t talk; she will explain at the club. Oso rushes off to the club. Guachin is upset but stays at the hospital.
Gloria barges into Turco’s house because it is still HER house...how lucky that Turco hasn’t signed the divorce papers. When Carrizo tries to tell her that Turco left him in charge, Gloria tells him that if he doesn’t leave, she will call the police and have him arrested for trespassing. As she gives him mere minutes to vacate, Carrizo scurries off to pack, Gloria calls her attorney.
At the club, Julia explains to Oso about Rosa’s injury. Rosa tells Oso that since she will never be able to box, she may as well go back to her hometown. He needs to call the promoter and tell him to cancel her fight.
Gloria goes to pick up Santi at his school. She tells him that she will no longer live at his grandma’s house since she can’t stand being humiliated anymore. She will live at Turco’s house until she finds a place of her own. When she tells Santi that she won’t be seeing him for a while, Santi blames it all on Julia and pleads with Gloria to take him with her; he doesn’t want to be with his father and Julia. Her shameless manipulation of Santi is loathsome.
Teresa calls Ringo to ask if Santi went with Gloria since he hasn’t gotten home yet. Ringo thinks Gloria may have taken Santi to eat; he will call her.
Rosa cries to Teresa that she won't be able to box anymore. Mi nina Teresa murmurs gently. Teresa has never liked boxing, but she doesn’t like someone’s dreams taken from them either. When Rosa asks for the day off, Teresa asks her not to go lock herself at her place and cry. Ross just wants to take a walk and think.
There is more heartening news for Guevara. Dr. Ignacio tells the small, loyal group the surgery went well and there were no complications. Susana thanks Guachin under Damasio’s nosy eyes. We now have little doubt the fact that Guachin was instrumental in getting Guevara the surgery will be widely disseminated in record time 😊
Oso calls Esteban and tells him that Rosa’s fight will have to be canceled. Esteban is not happy so Oso explains about Rosa’s injury.

Part 1 of 2
(So....I tried to post this earlier and I think it went to the telemundo page. I assume it will be deleted and forgiven...I'm not experienced at this recapping thing and had trouble with cut and past. Sorry for the confusion)
Below is my attempt at a recap. Some scenes are combined. Please fill in the blanks for correct my misunderstandings.
Another tense episode kicks off Emir confront Nihan about not wanting to take the trip to L.A. She protest saying there’s no way she’s taking a trip with the issue of Ozan’s death still unsolved. Emir question if it’s about Ozan or Kemel. That stand off end as Tarik’s visit is announced.
Tarik paces outside as he tries to gather his nerves to confront Emir. When Emir appears Tarik tells him its’ over…to stay away from him and his sister. As usual, Emir has the upper hand and threatens Tarik with the truth about his betrayal of Kemel…with the missing gun that was used to kill Karen. Tarik, frustrated and defeated screams in anguish as Emir walks away.
Asu moves into Kemel’s place before him comes home and she checks in with Emir, who pops some pain pills and has called to tell her it’s her turn. Don’t know the scam yet but this can’t be good for Kemel or Nihan.
Kemel visits Zeneps hotel to pay her bill without her knowledge having gotten the direction from Tarik. She happens to notice him and calls out but he tries to keep going. She does catch up to him and thanks him and points out the obvious…she does not deserve his compassion.
Emir visits Deniz’s room while Vildan and Nihan listen via the baby monitor (did he turn it off or up…are there 2 monitors in that room). Anyway, we learn that Emir has been trying to teach Deniz to say papa…as he’s trying to bond with her place yet another bond on Nihan. Nihan living hell continues to develop. After this revelation, Vildan urges Nihan to tell Kemel the truth and ask him for understanding. Apparently Vildan sees Kemel as the answer to Emir. Nihan’s recognizes her dilemma. There will be no peace for her or Deniz as long as these 2 guys are fighting over Deniz. Nihan muses that it should be Kemel that he’s the word’s papa from Deniz. She finally realizes that Kemel deserves the truth and she agrees with Vildan to tell Kemel the truth
In the meantime, unbeknownst to Kemel…his living hell is just starting. Having caved to Asu living in his house (as a front for Emir) …he goes about his evening…and showers. Asu pounces on the opportunity and snag’ his phone while he’s in the shower. Turns out, she spied his pass code and got in the phone easily…to set up a tracking device for Emir. We later learn that Emir has hired an investigator to listen in on Nihan’s and Kemel’s communication. We also learn that the fake interview as to capture certain key words as spoken by Kemel… Apparently they plan to fake Kemel’s words and voice to entrap him. What intrigue.
In other action, Ahan has had enough of Galip. He downs his drink, grabs his gun and heads out. Turns out he’s in Galip’s house. He puts the gun to Galip’s head and tells him to leave him alone or he will destroy his family. Being the wimp that he is…Galip pleads for his life….and agrees to leave him alone. He also says he’ll pay the fees levied on Ahan’s business. But we see after Ahan has left, the coward Galip is already thinking of getting back at Ahan.

March 16 2020 Part 2 of 2
Speaking of Ahan….in an early scene with Leyla and her P.I. ….we learn that Ahan went to jail for about 6 years for a theft he never admitted to. If I’m not mistaken, the same lawyer that represented Galip was the lawyer for Leyla’s dad… (need help with this part).
So, Nihan contacts Kemel to set up a meeting…and Emir, Tufan and the spy chick have intercepted the call and set in motion their plan. The next day, before the meeting, Kemel sends Leyla off to find Deniz’s med card. When she can’t find it…he puts her in more danger but telling her to search in Emir’s office. Again, I say the better play was to have her to take a swab for DNA.
Anyway, that same morning, before the meeting, Nihan comes to check on Deniz. Rightly so she panics when she not only find out she’s not in the house but Emir has taken her. When she tracks him down, he pretends it’s just a joy ride and that Nihan should meet them for breakfast. When she’s fails this final test…by not meeting them…he knows she’s going to meet with Kemel. He tells Deniz it’s his mothers fault….what he’s about to do….and that it’s a good thing that Deniz won’t remember this.
In another morning scene….looks like Zenep is full of courage these days. Having finally walked away from Emir, she get’s the courage to go home …and confront her dad…guess we’ll see tomorrow.
End...

I Dreamed A Dream Part 3
Julia tells Sandra to send an announcement to all employees: effective immediately, Diego will no longer have any authority as vice-president.
The doctor tells Guevara that he can go home. He will have to wear the bandages for about a week and he has to take it easy. After he thanks Susana, she goes out of the room.
While we had no idea where Turco was Carrizo has obviously been fully apprised. They are face to face as he complains that Gloria is back. Is Turco alarmed? Not in the slightest! The fool is ecstatic! Gloria loves him!!! He needs to go talk to the guru.
Susana thanks Guachin once more for all that he has done. When he asks where Guevara will stay, Susana tells him that Oso asked him to stay with him.
Ringo calls Gloria who tells him that she and Santi will not be returning to his home. When Ringo asks if she took him again, Gloria tells him that Santi does not want to be with him. Ringo asks to talk to Santi. Santi tells him that he wants to stay with his mother...Ringo can go with Julia. Ringod chides her for using Santi to get what she wants. She retorts that she wanted them to be a family but he decided to go off with another woman...he should suffer the consequences. When she hangs up on him, Ringo goes off to talk to Manuel. They bump into Oso and tell him about Santi...and how Santi won’t come live with him unless he goes back to Gloria.
Diego barges into Julia’s office with Bruno. Are you crazy she asks? He tells her that she forced him into this. They will have to remain together or she will lose the company. As of today he is the general director of the company. When she argues that this is a family company, Diego tells her that Brenda signed over control of her shares to him...her sister does not trust her; Julia no longer has authority.
Diego calls Brenda who is in a bad mood and could use some good news. When he tells her that she can now use her credit cards, Brenda is elated. Diego then warns her that Julia will probably try to get her to revoke her consent so she shouldn’t allow her to talk her into it. Brenda assures him that she won’t and laughs that Julia’s happiness didn’t last long. Beyotch.
Ringo and Teresa are with Manuel. After Ringo explains what happened, Manuel assures him that Santi will come around...he is very sensible and loves Ringo more than anything in the world. After Ringo points out that Gloria is manipulating him, Manuel reminds him that Gloria still has custody so Ringo should try to get back custody now. Manuel warns him not to fall for Gloria’s little provocations.
Julia calls Manuel to tell him about Brenda signing over control to Diego. She explains that Brenda was not happy that her father left her in control of the company; she is sure that Diego talked her into it by offering her money. Manuel suggests that she talk to Brenda so that she can revoke her consent.
Turco goes to talk to the guru about his wife getting back with him...this changes all his plans; he has never stopped loving her and is thinking of getting back with her. The guru suggest that he take time to think about it.

I Dreamed A Dream Part 4
Gloria goes to see about a job. When she worries about the salary being too low so the man tells her that if she is willing to travel to the states and Canada, the salary will be much higher. They want to sell their dolls out of the country...and she can start tomorrow. Gloria agrees and assures the man that she is a very good salesperson. Yes, we can vouch for that!
Julia confronts a shopping bag laden Brenda. Diego is mentirosa Julia pleads - he is manipulating you ! Julia chides her for signing over control to Diego. Brenda reminds her that she had no money and once Diego got control she had access to money within hours. Brenda tells her to go back to her medical office. When Julia points out that Diego is going to leave them in shambles and that Diego is not the person Brenda thinks he is, Brenda scoffs that this conversation is boring her...she is not going to revoke her consent!
Julia follows Brenda to her bedroom and tells her that Diego is only using her, but Brenda thinks that she is using him since he is working for her...but she is paying him. Julia explains that Diego is paying himself; he has already stolen plenty of money from the company. Now with the control Brenda gave him, he will continue doing it. Brenda laughs at the idea that Diego is a thief. Julia tells her that she was wrong about Diego as was their father. Diego is a hypocrite and a thief...and they thinks that he was the mastermind behind their father’s murder. Brenda still doesn’t believe Julia and suggests that she go see a psychoanalyst.
Manuel tells Alejo about Ringo’s dilemma. Alejo can’t believe that Gloria is now wanting to get back with Ringo so Manuel points out that Ringo now has a good future ahead of him. Manuel then tells Alejo that Ringo will be fighting for custody...and this time they will win. Alejo tells Manuel that he will handle the case. He no longer has issues with Ringo; he was swayed by Brenda but now sees how wrong he was. Manuel smiles broadly and envelopes his “son” in a huge bear hug.
Guachin tells Rosa that she needs to be strong; she is not one to give up. Rosa cries that she has lost her strength and pleads with him to leave her alone. As he leaves, Luchis asks what he was doing with Rosa...again. She hasn’t forgotten that she went on their honeymoon alone. When Guachin tells her that he is not going to keep away from Rosa and that Luchis shouldn’t be jealous, Luchis retorts that she is tired of hearing about Rosa...she wants them to look for a house so that they can get away from there. Guachin thinks she is being unreasonable but Luchis insists that she does not want to live there. After Luchis leaves, the landlady approaches and comments about Rosa’s streak of bad luck. After she suggests that Rosa needs a “cleansing” she adds that she dedicates her time to doing those.
Diana
I Dreamed A Dream Part 5
Diego tells Bruno that he will now be chief of security and his salary will increase. Bruno is not satisfied and points out that he has done a lot for Diego...and his silence about Ivan’s death is worth gold. Diego responds that he knows that very well.
Rosa tells Carrizo about her diagnosis; so he tells her that he has contacted an expert in sports medicine and suggests that she get a second opinion. He promises that she will box again even if he has to turn her into a bionic woman. Oh dear…
Ringo is training but can’t focus. He tells Oso about his visit with Manuel and that they will fight for custody. After Ringo leaves, Alejo arrives and asks for Ringo. He assures Oso that he is not there to ask to fight against Ringo.
Alejo apologizes to a rather wooden looking Ringo. He states his stupidity (as we seriously nod our collective heads in agreement) for believing Brenda who he admits is “loco”. He tells Ringo he was blinded by everything Brenda said. Ringo has been like a brother to him. He has to face the consequences and will understand if Ringo doesn’t forgive him. Ringo calls him back and the “brothers” share an emotional hug.
Teresa talks to Santi who tells her that it is he who doesn’t want to go back. When he blames Julia for Ringo running off his mother, Teresa reminds him that his mother and father stopped loving each long ago. Santi insists that his mother loves his father so Teresa points out that his father stopped loving his mother...because his mother destroyed the love with so many things she did. After she adds that Ringo now loves Julia, Santi threatens that if Ringo doesn’t leave Julia, he won’t return with Ringo...as Gloria listens and smiles. Teresa pleads with him to think of his father and reminds him all that Ringo has done for him...but Santi refuses to listen and reiterates that he wants his mother and father to be together. Teresa gives up and hopes Santi will not regret it. After she leaves Santi yells out “abuela”! Ack. Then, Gloria praises Santi and tells him that his father will eventually give in and they will be a family again. Gloria is delusional.
Ringo sees Julia at Manuel’s office so she tells him about Diego taking over and Brenda giving him control. Alejo who was following behind, asks what is happening so Julia explains about Diego stealing from the company and her father finding out. She mentions that Diego was responsible for Ivan’s murder but they still have no evidence. She then explains how Diego convinced Brenda to sign over control. When Alejo suggests that they find someone who has shares and will side with Julia so that she can regain control, Eva blurts out that Manuel has his shares!
And on that hopeful note, the screen fades to black.
Diana
Hi all.
I counted over 10 scenes in the first ten minutes.
The pace of this was frenetic. Thankfully, Rgv Chick was on top of everything and when I faded, just not able to keep up, she wove her magic capturing the events perfectly. Thank you amiga.
Look forward to seeing your comments tomorrow.

Two comments worth of recap for this novela ended up on Telemundo. I'm copying and pasting it here.

Loved the title, intro and recap! Thank you, Diana. “Yes, we can vouch for that.” ITA about Gloria’s talent in “sales”. She is such a witch.
Very entertaining episode last night. Everything is setting up very well.
Ringo got nothing but more grief after being kind to the mother of his son. There is a lesson in there. Let us hope he has wizened up finally because the result is the same as if he had kicked her out earlier or never allowed her to stay: his son “hates” him, for the moment anyway. He enabled Gloria in her further manipulation of Santi up close and personal day after day and now she has more power over the kid.
I don’t like how they made Julia even more stupid telling goofy Brenda all about her suspicions about Diego. I still don’t get why she has chosen to wait to prosecute him for fraud until they have proof about the murder. Again, not very realistic because the one crime has nothing to do with the other. Another bad decision that has allowed to him to grab control of the business.
Whew! The writers saved us from a Rosa spinal surgery!!!! Yay!
I found it interesting that Manuel didn’t acknowledge his ownership of shares but that Eva did. Will he cooperate in wrestling control back from Diego?
Should be another good one tonight,
Nett, you aren’t the only one to post a recap in the wrong section. I have done that too. LOL Great to see you recapping!
Thank you for your kind words Jarifa.
The whole Gloria interview was strange. Was it just me or were the dolls on the wall weird? Pure speculation but I was wondering if something is going to be smuggled in the dolls? I think there is an anvil with Gloria's name on it swaying in the breeze. I just don't know what it is...
Excellent point that Manuel didn't pipe up about the shares. I had completely forgotten he even had them.
For a smart woman, Julia has made foolish choices.
My heart aches for Rosa.
Diana
Diana, I hadn’t thought about the dolls being used for smuggling; interesting point. I somehow missed that Manuel had those shares to begin with. I cannot wait to see how it all plays out now that he knows he has power to solve the problem along with Julia. Yes, that was a sad outcome for Rosa. I wonder if she will just go home. Somehow I am not seeing her with Oso anymore.
Jarifa: Good Morning from the Alamo City. Please stay safe everyone with the Coronavirus spreading all over the world.
On "RINGO": What happened to Rosa ?
Thank you, Diana. Loved the title! There seems to be quite a few dreamers here so your title and prologue were spot on. I was especially impressed with these wise words--
One may fight to achieve a dream and be well on the path to success.
I agree that Julia was not very smart to tell Brenda about the fraud or suspicion that Diego was behind Ivan's murder. She should have had Isabel with her to convince Brenda; MAYBE Brenda would have listened.
Poor Rosa! But I wonder if Carrizo will nag her enough to get a second opinion...and maybe she will get a better prognosis.
Diana, I had the same thought about the dolls, especially since they are being exported to the States and Canada. Oh what a sweet anvil it would be if Gloria got caught! It would be the answer to all of Ringo's prayers.
I had also forgotten about Manuel's shares until Eva mentioned them...but of course, he has shares! His wife was Ivan's sister! And IIRC, Ivan was trying to buy him out. Thank goodness he refused to sell.
Nett, thank you so much for the recap!! I am especially appreciative because, for some reason, my recorder malfunctioned (or something happened) and I didn't get to see the episode.
Why on earth would Kemal allow Asu back into his home? Talk about "sleeping with the enemy!"
I had a feeling Tarik's attempt to confront Emir would be countered with a threat to reveal everything Tarik has done.
I fear for Ayhan. Galip is vicious enough to physically harm Ayhan. I do hope Ayhan will survive to the end; I want a "happily ever after" for him and Leila.
I really don't care what happens to Zeynep. Somehow, she always manages to wiggle her way back into people's lives with her "pity me" attitude. Though I don't like Hussein's way of thinking, I do hope he is not swayed by the pathetic little liar.
Thank you so much Nett! Greatly appreciate your help.
The Leyla-Merzat scene revealed Ayhan was in prison for six years because he stole some portfolios from Mr. Asemcade. The weird thing was that Ayhan's defense attorney was also Mr. Asemcade's private lawyer. Ayhan supposedly never accepted guilt of the crime, so Leyla asked Merzat if it's possible that Ayhan was unjustly in prison under presumption of guilt. Merzat doesn't know how to answer that. Is it possible Leyla's dad was committing fraud and so Ayhan paid the price??? Sounds like Ayhan has more reason to dislike Leyla than the other way around.
The scene with Emir and the baby monitor, he made sure to turn the volume up (not sure how that works) so that Nihan can hear him say that regardless of what happens with his relationship with Nihan, Denise will always be his daughter. Add in the part where he's trying to get Denise to call him father again, and Nihan gets unnerved because she wants Denise's first word to belong to Kemal.
Kemal taking Asu into his home: she appealed to his protective nature under the guise of Emir being out to kill her.
Atleast Tariq tried to get out of Emir's hold, but completely forgot about murdering Karen. To be honest, I forgot about that too. If he's going to go down, he should think of a way to take Emir with him. That seems to be Tariq's only way out.
Galip will no doubt hurt Ayhan again. I worry for him too.
RGV, you're right about Zeynep. She always manages to victimize herself and go back into people's lives while still doing damage to them. She's the most unlikeable character I've ever seen in novelas so far.
Going back to work. Hopefully I'll be back to recapping soon. Maybe my eyes just need to adjust.
AnonFri
Ay Caramba ! Gloria could get set up selling Cocaine filled dolls similar to what happened to her in El Draggin'.
She sure is easy to hate.
Thank You Diana and RGV. I suppose we are going to snail along with superflous 'snack time' scenes until the last 10 minutes of this show. Rosa: Sorry about your luck. That is what they do here too, run over people and keep going. Now go find something productive to do with your life girl.
Thank you for your thoughtful, gracious words Rgv Chick. I echo them back to you as you were instrumental in this recap.
Very interesting comment about Carrizo. You may well be on to something! The writers must have some reason to bring these two characters together. It would be wonderful if there is hope for Rosa even though boxing should not be an option health wise (IMHO).
Gloria is in for some trouble. That said, I always feel for the children in these situations. Santi does love his mother and he is going to be hurt.
Thanks partner. Trying to come up with a prologue for tonight amid work madness! :)
Diana
Morning Kirby!
So, Gloria smuggled in ED? "El Draggin' cracked me up.
Yes, Rosa should seek a new line of work. She has a mother and daughter who love her. Whether she will end up with Oso remains to be seen (I'm wondering at this point).
I have a feeling something bad is going to happen. To someone. Not sure who yet.
Diana
Diana, no, but in Draggin' she was the prosecutor or DA, and was doing a decent job and was framed for money laundering or some such, which she was completely innocent of, and went to jail.
Yikes Kirby. Do I sense a pattern emerging on (likely) bad endings for the actress playing Gloria? :)
Nice to see you Susanlynn…
Diana
Yes Rosa, in your tiny microcosm boxing may be a big deal, but in the grand scheme of life, it puts you in perpetual contact with sweaty, tattooed people. There are far more comforting ways to live.
Gloria. Maybe, but it is only the past two TNs we have seen. And we do not know yet whether there is any truth to our suspicions about the dolls. OTOH, the doll fellow could not have looked any more sleazy. But even in El Drag, she was one of the good people and was still hard to like. Hell, even her husband didn't like her. He, remember, was working against her for the bad guys.
Has the world as we know it turned into one badly written TN, with millions of unpaid actors?
Gracias, Diana.
Here's hoping that Manuel can help Julia beat Snidely Whiplash before the whole company goes down in flames. Good to see that Alejo has come to his senses.
How many times have I said this: I want Brenda to suffer for her evil deeds.
What can Rosa do for a career? Enquiring minds want to know.
Turco has completely lost it.
Rosa is an humble, caring girl who is good with kids. She could work at or run a daycare or something. Teacher's aide, maybe. She is not pretentious and does not aspire to be a brain surgeon. She is outgoing and genuine, seems to be happy as a clam at the club snack bar, so that leaves many jobs open to her which others would turn their noses up at. She is certainly not lazy, but stay away from jobs involving crying, she cries ugly.
It about the misplaced recap. I have
Posted comments and the internet monster would eat it, but sometimes they magically re-appeared. And if Thats a not bad Enough the auto correct is a pain in the ass too. I like your recap, you caught it all. Thank you.
Now, I'm not sure nep is there to see her dad cuz he's at the barber shop. I
Think. She probly need clothes cuz he
Kicked her out in cold and rain but he
Did throw her coat n purse out to her.
He's a mean one. She plays pity-me real good. But like it's been said before she's a player. And she is good

Emir is a sicko. No one loves him. No one. Well his mother does God help her
Nihan should have been told kemal and
Now all he'll breaks loose.
Ok gotta ho, more later. Thanks Nett
Thanks Urban!
I agree that Rosa likely has a Rosy future! She is a sweet lady whom everyone loves.
And I agree that the actress playing Gloria doesn't seem particularly warm or fuzzy. But appearances are deceiving.

Mess tryin to one up his brother. He was jealous of kemal's expensive suits

Fairy Tales – Fractured, Real and Imagined Part 1
“Anyone can have a once upon a time or a happily-ever-after, but it’s the journey between that makes the story worth telling” – Chris Colfer
We all have a story to tell including “once upon a time”. But from there to “happily-ever-after” may be a world, a lifetime apart. Some are incurable romantics, living life with stars in their eyes, hope in their hearts. Others are pessimists, perpetually looking for the dark side. But most travel down the middle of the road, adjusting to life’s inevitable twists and turns, changing lanes as necessary.
Some lead charmed lives, surrounded by love, wealth and seemingly care free. Others ache for a better life and for someone to love them. Yet, they are alone. Most go through life, doing the best they can with some measure of success. The key may be to work with what we were given. To strive to be better, to take chances, to love and most of all, to be kind. We may not be able to control our destiny, but we can change our reaction and how we handle life’s challenges. We may not get the partner of our dreams or the life we wished for but there is much to celebrate. Perhaps having many but at a minimum one loyal and faithful friend - your ride or die. A devoted family – be it one or many. Purge regret and cast out desire. And heed ”be careful for what you wish for”... the unknown is unproven and may best be left as such. You likely have far more to be happier about than you realize. Love who and what you have and be grateful. Savor and treasure your own unique fairy tale and create your own happy ending.
We begin where we left off, Eva reminding Manuel of his shares in Garay! “Of course” he enthuses as he smiles. Seems our sweet Manuel seems to have forgotten he had the shares himself!
Candles are lit as Rosa suffers the ministrations of her landlady, muttering incantations, attempting to ward off evil spirits, as well as bad and jealous people. She brushes Rosa with branches as Guachin looks on.
Manuel explains what they will need to do. He is sure that with his shares Julia will regain control, but advises that Diego should not know about this yet.
Guevara can’t tolerate his bandage anymore. After he asks Guachin how things are going, he admits he isn’t doing well, not only because of Rosa, but his wife is asking for everything. The men commiserate. Luchis calls him and after telling him he better not be with Rosa, she pouts she wants to go out for tacos!
Diana
Fairy Tales – Fractured, Real and Imagined Part 2
Ringo tells Julia about Santi going with Gloria. Julia thinks it’s because of her, but Ringo assures her that it’s not. Gloria is manipulating Santi. He assures her that they will find a solution to everything...together. He gallantly kisses her hands.
More hand kisses, this time for Susana from Guevara.. Guevara asks Oso about Rosa. Oso tells him he feels useless since he can’t help Rosa. Guevara reminds Oso about a boxer who had a severe injury but did not give up and concentrated on strengthening his neck muscles...eventually he boxed again and won. Oso will talk to Rosa and tell her the story to motivate her.
Where is my son Ringo asks Gloria. He calls for Santi but he doesn’t answer. Ringo goes upstairs where Santi stares, indifferent. Santi greets his father by asking him if he left Julia! Ringo says Julia has nothing to do with his love for Santi. He reminds Santi of everything Julia has done for him and how he used to like her, but Santi is set in his father being with his mother. We sigh collectively.
Oso recalls Rosa’s fight with Zorra.
Teresa sternly reminds Ringo that Santi is his son and warns him not to choose Julia over him! Teresa wonders if Ringo will be able to stand not seeing Santi. However, Ringo will not leave Julia just to satisfy Gloria.
Eva calls Julia with wonderful news. Her divorce is final! Thank you she says as she smiles widely. She calls Ringo with the news – I’m free she exclaims! She is happy they won’t have to hide any more. Ringo wonders how long it will take for them to get married. They talk about a romantic proposal. Brenda emerges from her cave to ruin Julia’s day, taunting her about losing the company presidency. Julia retorts she didn’t want control, that was their father’s idea! Bratty Brenda cares not.
Oso is knocking on Rosa’s empty apartment door. You are too late the landlady advises.
Turco tells his guru that he feels that his place is with his wife. Guru wishes him well.
Carrizo shows up at Rosa’s empty abode with his friend, Dr. Zavala. Alas, there is no answer and the landlady again advises Rosa is gone. The doctor won’t be deterred – he is even willing to go to the Delta Boxing Club! I’m in shock – a doctor who not only makes a call to a house, but is willing to travel further to see a patient! Carrizo calls a tearful Rosa who thanks him for everything but says there is nothing that can be done. At the same time, Oso arrives at the bus stop but is too late. Rosa waves farewell as he talks to the wind.

Fairy Tales – Fractured, Real and Imagined Part 3
Julia finds the hidden recorder under Ivan’s desk. Not removing that Diego? Rookie mistake.
Ringo meets with his promoter who tells him that his fight is set. He would also like to go watch Ringo train.
Julia asks the Garay attorney for the company constitution. She tells him that she doesn’t want anyone to know that she is requesting it. Out in the hall, Diego slithers up, wondering what she is doing. Julia tells him that she was just walking around...since this is her company. Diego asks her that they do things right. Julia bluntly tells him that she will have nothing to do with him anymore. After she leaves, Diego tells Bruno to ask the attorney what Julia wanted. Bruno goes in, but the attorney makes up an excuse for Julia...she was only asking about quotes for he’d housekeeper since she is interested in purchasing a home. Does Bruno believe him? He does but runs right to rat Diego who is suspicious and tells Bruno to follow her.
Ringo is at a jewelry store looking at some sweet sparklers.
As Bruno spies from outside, Julia goes to give Manuel the document she obtained. Manuel quickly shows her the percentages that each shareholder has. With his 30%, she will regain control. Afterwards, she shows him the recorder she found. When Manuel confirms that it’s a recorder, Julia knows it had to be Diego. Bruno reports back.
Marlen tells Carrizo that she wants them to try again. When she asks him to leave with them, Carrizo agrees since there is nothing there for him. He looks completely miserable.
Guevara and Oso are talking about the use of his other senses when Ringo arrives and tells them about the fight Sitges scheduled for him. He then shows them the engagement ring.
Julia reads a note that Ringo left for her...an invitation to a moonlit dinner where he will ask her to marry him.
Ringo sees Santi and wants to spend time with him, but when Ringo admits that he has not left Julia, Santi wants nothing to do with him. Teresa then tries to get Santi to go with her. He refuses until she tells him that she cooked one of his favorite dishes.
Luchis and Guachin are looking at apartments. When Guachin asks for a cheaper price, Luchis chides him. She then tries to get Guachin to change his look, but Guachin likes the way he looks. When Luchis asks if he will buy her the apartment, Guachin says, “NO!” Outside they argue since Guachin had told her he was going to get her whatever she wanted. But, Guachin refuses to waste his money on something he does not need. That already have a room to live in and that is where they will live. Luchis then warns him that if he doesn’t buy her the apartment, he will have to suffer the consequences.
Ringo and Julia meet and talks about Julia getting the document and finding the camera. They then talk about Santi’s refusal to be with Ringo, so Julia asks to talk with Santi and Ringo agrees.
Diana
Fairy Tales – Fractured, Real and Imagined Part 4
Julia goes to talk to Santi who is adamant that he wants his mother and father to be together and they can’t do that if Julia is in the way. Julia suggests that she will step aside since all she wants is for him and his father to be together. If his mother and father decide to be together she won’t get between them... but Santi has to agree to get along with his father. Santi agrees and thinks that they can be friends again.
Gloria meets with her new boss (creepy doll guy). She shows him the orders she has picked up. He praises her and tells her about a call he got from a company in the States that is wanting a sample of their dolls. When he asks if she is willing to take that sample to Tucson the next day, Gloria quickly agrees. Uh oh…
Teresa goes in to talk to Julia who is crying. Teresa overheard everything Julia told Santi and thinks that Julia is a very good person. Julia just wants Ringo to be with Santi...she knows how much Ringo loves his son and doesn’t want him to suffer. Julia tells Teresa she loves Ringo with all of her heart – he is the love of her life. Teresa wishes that Julia and Ringo has met under different circumstances.
“Mama” Rosa cries, greeting her mother as she enters the door. She tells her mother her fight was canceled. Rocio runs out and Rosa can’t lift her but goes down on her knees to hug her. Rosa tells her that she is crying because of the emotion she feels about seeing her.
Julia tells Ringo about her talk with Santi. When she tells him about her promise to step aside, Ringo is upset as he does not want to leave Julia just to placate Gloria. Julia explains that they have to give Santi time to realize that he can’t force things to happen. Ringo insists again that he doesn’t want to leave her, but Julia tells him that they can’t be together for now...she asks him to help her keep her promise to Santi. And as longing and regret set in, tonight’s saga ends.
Diana
Thank you to Rgv Chick for her more than generous help. You are the best!
Another very hard day for all of us. But we need to soldier on with our daily, complex lives as best we can. Thank heavens for our wonderful, supportive patio.
Sleep well all.
Diana
Just sayin Gloria...........better have Rover or Fluffy take whiff of those dolls before you go thru customs. You just got out of jail from that stunt the Garzas pulled on you.
Cryin' Rose. Sounds like a country song from Texas.
Luchis is pretty hot to not be a blonde, but she gives honest hard working hookers a bad name.
Great recap girls, thanks.
#165 - Part 1
Ok…let’s try this again. We start off witnessing 2 different scenes of snooping. Leyla making her way thru Emir’s office. The other one is somewhat of a surprise….its Zenep snooping through her mom’s things (after having returned home for some of her things)… for the item she’s been hiding. All the while…an anxious Kemel is pacing…awaiting Leyla’s call. Leyla finds yet another faked document by Emir..falsely reporting Deniz’s blood type. A deflated Kemel having received the news finally gets a clue that the doc could be faked. Simultaneously, Zenep finds the item her mom has been hiding….it’s a pic of Deniz…but why would Fehime have this item…Zenep head hurts pondering this one. But …after flashing back to Emir’s threat to keep Deniz away from Kemel….and overhearing Emir musing who Deniz looks like….Ineptzenep finally gets a clue…calls Kemel and insist they have to meet in person. He agrees to see her at Leyla’s house.
Back and forth separate scenes of Emir and Kemel. So…Emir’s joy ride ends with him perched on a cliff…..putting together a baby carriage…..presumably for Deniz. Coincidently….Nihan drives by…sees his car and drives down to him. In the meantime, Zenep has arrived at Leyla’s house to meet with Kemel. She shares the pic and her thoughts with Kemel….asking why would their mom have this pic.
Meanwhile…as Nihan approaches Emir at the cliff. He stops her approach and asks her…why are you here and not with Kemel. A disturbed Nihan questions Emir…are you crazy…what’s with this spectacular scene. Emir continues his game….what are you going to do….are you going to call Kemel and confess regarding Deniz. Nihan tries to deny this and reason with Emir but she finally realizes…there’s no use….she admits she was thinking of telling Kemel the truth. She pleads for Deniz. Emir…accuses Nihan of tricking him and blames her for everything that’s about to happen. How he loves Deniz and wanted them to be a family. We see the point of his game…..he allows the carriage to roll off the cliff but stops Nihan from toppling over the cliff after the carriage. This horrific scene of Nihan’s torment, disbelief and distress finally ends with Emir admitting Deniz was not in the carriage….she’s alive….there was only a doll in the carriage.
Emir continues… he has the nerve to tell Nihan he truly loves Deniz like she’s his own. He wants them to be a family. But he follows this with the threat that if Nihan tries to leave him or sees Kemel again… the next time it will be Nihan, Emir and Deniz to go over that cliff. Tufan, having arrived with Deniz….finally has a look of disgust…as if finally Emir has gone too far… even for him. Nihan is eventually united with Deniz.

#165 - Part 2
Meanwhile, Kemel shows the photo of Deniz to Leyla and explains its origin. She protest…that it doesn’t mean anything. A newly encouraged Kemel says he will get to the bottom of this …he felt it the first time he laid eyes on Deniz…that she’s his child. He discusses a DNA test with Leyla. ..telling her he will take care of everything himself without Nihan’s knowledge. Later…after questioning Zenep on her motives for sharing the photo….he sends her off…telling her he doesn’t trust her intentions regarding the matter and she should keep her mouth shut. We see her leave Leyla’s house with her ho-bag….the items she went back into the house for.
Nihan arrives home finding Fehime at her gate. She begs Nihan’s forgiveness…recognizing Nihan’s life is a prison. After spending a few moments with the Deniz in the car, she takes her leave telling Nihan to do what she’s been doing anyway…take care of Deniz….with your life.
Later we see Emir get a call from his loyal housekeeper. She’s called to snitch that Leyla was at the house…and snooped in his office. She also relays the phone conversation Leyla’ had with someone regarding Deniz’s registration. After Emir returns home later….he goes to check for the card to see if it’s still in its place. He then directs his loyal housekeeper to tell him every time Leyla sets foot in the house and to keep an eye on her.
Kemel went to his parent’s home to replace the photo. As he’s departing he runs into his mom returning home. He interrogates her a little bit…asking her what’s wrong…and says she looks nervous….and not looking him in the eye. She asks him to be direct….say what he means. He drops the subject and leaves.
Kemel later calls Nihan and ask her to meet him with Deniz. Nihan begs off and says she can’t. Sensing something is wrong…he pushes the issue. Nihan feigns being tired but eventually agrees to meet him…..to get him off the phone as Emir has come to talk to her. He speaks of his love for her and Deniz yet again….and how he doesn’t want to lose them. Nihan tells him to go away as she can’t tolerate the sound of his voice.
Later Emir gives Tufan specific directions regarding Leyla…I didn’t get the details.
We later see Nihan has arrived to meet Kemel at the stables. She stays back for while…taking him in…and obviously thinking about everything with a heavy heart. He turns and sees her…and goes to her. Finding that she didn’t bring Deniz….he’s disappointed. He tries to get her to tell him what’s wrong as he sees tears in her eyes. She denies it all…saying her tears have nothing to do with anything…and indicates she’s taken in by the beauty of the place. When pressed about why no Deniz….Nihan states she doesn’t want to endanger Deniz. Kemel thinks its too bad Deniz couldn’t be there because he has a small surprise for them.
The end

Another outstanding job! Thank you, Diana.
Kirby, “Cryin’ Rose. Sounds like a country sound from Texas.” Good one.
So, all of the armchair doctors think that Rosie just needs to strengthen her neck muscles. Will she end up looking like a no-neck linebacker ? LOL
I am now wondering if we can have two divorces for Alejo and Guachín in the finale. At this point, that might make me happier than a Ringo/Julia wedding. If we get all three with Diego dead or in the big house, that would be perfection.
Eventhough I do not agree with Julia’s decision, she sure won points with Teresa.
Good that Julia found the microphone. Too bad she wasn’t thinking and didn’t bag it for prints for the police as possible evidence against Diego.
All in all it was a good solid episode.
So, this is ending on Tuesday 3/24 with a total of 82 episodes.
Good morning!
Thanks so much Kirby. Great line about Rosie. But can she sing? :) Looks like we are all on the Gloria is being made a patsy train. Like you and Jarifa, freedom for Gauchin from Luchis can't come fast enough.
Jarifa, thank you. "At this point, that might make me happier than a Ringo/Julia wedding. If we get all three with Diego dead or in the big house, that would be perfection". It would, wouldn't it? I hope that is the plan.
Julia has made so many bad decisions, what's one more?? But I'm sure Santi will be won over once Gloria is railroaded into jail. Only kidding, I have no idea. But you are right, Teresa was impressed.
I'm a bit unsettled about a few things but will keep mum for now. A lot can happen in 5 hours. Ack.
Diana
Good morning Diana. I now have a computer screen again and can post where I can actually see what I write! I must say I am dazzled by your prologues that you turn out week after week. Anita was right when she dubbed you "wise Diana". It has been a treat to enjoy reading your thoughts a couple of days a week.
"But most travel down the middle of the road, adjusting to life’s inevitable twists and turns, changing lanes as necessary." Loved the "changing lanes" remark. Yep, been there done that. Still doing it.
"Purge regret and cast out desire." Good advice. Hard to follow sometimes.
"slither" for Diegeo "sweet sparklers" for the rings. Love those descriptions.
Poor Guachin has got himself into a pickle. When Guevara told him "Don't give 'em [women] all your love or all your money." I bristled a bit but also laughed. That's a guy dicho I've heard in other telenovelas. But in Guachin's case it's very good advice indeed. In Alejo's as well!
I have to admit I enjoyed the "cleansing" the landlady gave Rosa. It was very much like a prayer, asking the Spirit of Good to enter into her, and the Spirit of Evil to leave. Whether it's voodoo, Santeria or whatever, when someone asks the Universe to bless another in a loving way, I just see that as another form of prayer and I'm okay with it.
Love the recap Diana, and you are certainly that "one true friend" to so many people. Blessings and love in these fearful times.
Good morning amiga mia Judy.
I so appreciate your kind and generous words.
The prologues have been a blessing, something to channel my thoughts and energy into. And your wise statement that the "cleansing" was indeed "another form of prayer" was spot on. I also am all for it.
I also want to see Alejo freed from Brenda! And I didn't mind Guevara's advice (thank you for noting what was actually said as I didn't comprehend it well enough to try and capture it). After all, it was for "our" Gauchin.
Still a lot to propel through and hopefully the clouds will part and sunshine will emerge.
Thank you sweet Judy. May your blessings come back to you in abundance.
Diana
Thank you Susanlynn. You, Judy and I (and a few others) have been through much the past decade plus, haven't we?
Strong survivors and warriors all.
The sun is out and shining today and the warmth is most welcome.
Diana
Gracias, Diana. Only 5 episodes to go.
I'm sure those dolls contain some kind of white powder. A bit over the top way to rid everyone of Gloria. That could put Turco in the nuthouse; he's almost there as it is.
Alejo needs to file for divorce. What Brenda did to Julia is not only disgusting it's only a fraction of what she could do to him given the motivation.
I don't care whether Diego ends up in prison or dead. But even with only five episodes left we know he will do one more thing to deserve either.
Thank you, Diana. Your prologues are just getting better and better!
Kirby, "Just sayin Gloria...........better have Rover or Fluffy take whiff of those dolls before you go thru customs. You just got out of jail from that stunt the Garzas pulled on you." Oh dear, yes! this woman keeps getting set up and ending up in prison for being gullible. In this case, Gloria deserves an anvil, but ending up in prison is a bit harsh. Maybe Turco can talk her int o joining him and the Guru...forever! And, ""Cryin' Rose." Sounds like a country song from Texas." It certainly does! Should we wait for the personalized lyrics to sing to the 'Yellow Rose of Texas" melody? :-)
Jarifa, your entire comment is noteworthy. Two divorces and an excruciating anvil for Diego would satisfy me too.
JudyB, so glad your tech issue was resolved! "Poor Guachin has got himself into a pickle. When Guevara told him "Don't give 'em [women] all your love or all your money." I bristled a bit but also laughed. That's a guy dicho I've heard in other telenovelas. But in Guachin's case it's very good advice indeed. In Alejo's as well!" Thank you for that guy dicho! Pobrecito Guachin, if anyone deserves a happy ending, it's him. He's been such a good guy all along.
Jarifa, this TN SHOULD end on Tuesday, or Wednesday at the latest if the "Final" is two hours long, but Zap2It has it listed for ALL week and even into the next week. I'm wondering what is going on since we haven't had any promos for its replacement. Will they do 2-hour episodes for Amor Eterno? YIKES!!
Nett, thank you for another excellent, very appreciated recap!
So what is Zeynep up to now? Is she trying to get on Kemal's good side OR is she hoping at another crack at Emir since she now knows that Deniz is not his child? I vote the latter; this woman does nothing for anyone but herself.
"This horrific scene of Nihan’s torment, disbelief and distress..." Just when you think Emir can't be more evil and cold hearted, he proves us wrong. A horrific scene indeed! I was on the edge of my seat though I did suspect that Deniz was not in the carriage. What agony this mother went through and the actress portrayed every emotion expertly. Please, please, please, Nihan! Tell Kemal what Emir did!
Emir told Tufan to beef up security; he doesn't want anyone entering the company without his knowledge. He also told Tufan that Leila was being too smart in her ways. She deserves a prize which will be to be moved to the purchasing department. Emir will decide later what else he will do.
He is so stupid. He deserves what he's got coming his way for finally just settling and kissin emir butt and does what hes told. I thought he would man
Up but like banu, zeynep, hakan and any one else that he can intimidate into
Worshiping him, he's got him too. But
Our man kemal. And he can't stand that.
Kemal can go head to head with that demon anyway of the week.
RgvChick, tomorrow Univision’s schedule for next Wed. should be posted. Let us hope it tells us something. It used to be a pretty direct line from Las Estrellas to Univision but since Univision started previewing Televisa/LasEstrellas content here in the US, things have gotten messy. Double episodes of any novela is a horrible idea. Here is hoping they give us something new and entertaining sooner rather than later.
Susanlynn, your guess is as good as any of ours.
Thank you Urban! I laughed at the thought that Gloria's possible outcome could "put Turco in the nuthouse". And yes, he already has one foot in the door, doesn't he??
Thank you Rgv Chick! Loved "Pobrecito Guachin, if anyone deserves a happy ending, it's him. He's been such a good guy all along". Amen to that :)
Looking forward to tonight but even more, your surely splendid recap.
Diana
Niecie, please phone home!
I know you are busy at work but am concerned as you haven't posted in quite some time.
Diana
Diana, it's great to be back on the patio with my Caraymates! Too much work, too few workers, it's been just crazy. But I can't complain, so much going on in the world... I thought of Caray every day though -- and the fun I wasn't having. Fabulous recap. So much has happened since last week. Ringo and Julia back together. Santi choosing Gloria over his dad and grandma. Rosa leaving town. Gives me whiplash. Super recap. My faves:
The key may be to work with what we were given. To strive to be better, to take chances, to love and most of all, to be kind. We may not be able to control our destiny, but we can change our reaction and how we handle life’s challenges. [Whoever said these prologues should be compiled in a book was right on!]
She calls Ringo with the news – I’m free she exclaims! She is happy they won’t have to hide any more.
Hide? Everybody knows they've had a thing since her honeymoon with Diego.
Brenda emerges from her cave to ruin Julia’s day,
I’m in shock – a doctor who not only makes a call to a house, but is willing to travel further to see a patient!
I'm so disappointed in Santi. What a horrible, pushy adult he would turn out to be if he were raised by Gloria.
Niecie - I am very happy to see your post and SO glad you are back!
I'm sorry work has been difficult but am hoping you can stay with us through the (hopefully not bitter) end (which is coming quickly).
Thanks for your kind words. And you are right, things have been happening quickly - "whiplash" is spot on!
And your insight on Gloria's influence on Santi is very intuitive. She is the poisoned tongue in his ear but hopefully, he will end up with Ringo. Julia will be a far better influence than Gloria. That said, it's always hard on kids to "lose" a parent, lousy though they may be.
Diana
Nett, thank you my dear for a short sweet and to the point recap.
Emir: EVIL
NIHAN:RATHER HELPLESS. HARD HEADEDNESS
GETS HER INTO TROUBLE.
KEMAL:VULNERABLE, BIG HEARTED AND VERY
COURAGEOUS, AND BRAVE. AND NIHANS EVER
RESCUER.
ZEYNEP:USELESS CRAP.
FEHIMA:FINALLY GOT A CLUE.
HUSSEIN:CLUELESS. STILL.
LEYLA:SO ANNOYING. NEEDS A CLUE.
ASU:I.DONT.CARE.
GALIP:BIG BAFFOON.
TUFAN: I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL HE THINKIN.
AYHAN: HE A COMPLICATED MAN.(whatever that means). He's just in love with a stubborn woman.
In another world all that evidence kemal has would be enough. But plot stuff is needed so it's stretched so
He can have all the proof he needs.
Thank you Nett.
#166 – Part I
We start with Leyla visiting the former attorney of her father (?). She questions him regarding Ayan’s jail stint and legal representation. At first…she doesn’t appear ready to hear what he has to say. She finally settles in…listens…and learns. Apparently her dad was not of the highest of moral standing. He was not a good guy…and ultimately, Ayan’s jail stint was a result of her dad’s actions… though the accusations against him could not be proven. This attorney doesn’t believe that Ayan was guilty.
Emir drops by Galip’s office as he’s plotting something. Emir presses him for the details and warns him not to do anything involving the company finances. Upon learning the details, Emir decides to take over the vengeful act against Ayan….citing Leyla in the process.
Back at the stables Nihan learns that Kemel has brought Deniz a pony….so that they can grow up together. When pressed why he would do such a thing, Kemel indicates because she should have been their daughter together. Over the course of their time at the stables… they nearly make out in one of the stalls as well as share both tender and tense moments. As they walk the grounds….they remember the past, promises made and muse what could have been. Kemel presses Nihan on what she’s hiding from him….and why she doesn’t trust him. She expresses stress and fear and tries to get him to understand her position….and tells him she’s doing everything for the sake of Deniz. They ultimately confess their love for each other and kiss. They eventually have to go back to the real world.
Emir calls Asu and questions how’s married life. She smartly says hers is the same as his. Somehow, he’s already planned for the moment Kemel tries to get proof for a DNA test after the registration card incident and he tells Asu she has to do her part to make sure the results are faked. Later we see that Kemel has indeed solicited Leyla’s help in getting Deniz’s DNA sample.
Later at home, Emir comes to torture Nihan some more by his mere presence. She’s tells him she wants to leave for a few days…spend some alone. Of course he questions Kemel's involvement. He eventually agrees to her taking the time but dictates where she’s to go.
Later, we see Kemel drop Leyla off at the Kozkoglu gates….as he’s not allowed on the premises. Prior to this, we see that Emir has divulged his plans to Nihan…to put a bogus pacifier out for Leyla to take…as oppose the one she actually uses. During Leyla’s visit, Emir, playing the concerned dad….does not let go of Deniz….tells Leyla to wash her hands and ultimately does not allow anyone else to hold Deniz while Leyla’s in the house. However, later…we see Eda…the nanny… is taking items from Deniz’s room for cleaning. Leyla’ pounces on the opportunity to take the pacifier which was on the tray…..unknowingly avoiding the fake one. Later, Emir questions the help if anyone went into Deniz’s room. Unfortunately he learns that Leyla had access to the tray of items taken from her room. He discovers that Leyla indeed has the correct pacifier. He now has to call Asu and engage her.

#166 – Part 2
Later, Kemel, picks up Leyla who has the DNA sample, however, he decides he’s not going to do anything with the sample that night. He goes home to a waiting Asu who has made him tea and wants to talk about work. He puts her off but not before accepting the tea which we suspect has been drugged. He then decides he’s going to bed.
Earlier, Tufan had been ordered to follow Kemel and to report back if he stops at a hospital. Later, we see that Tufan has also been ordered to put some type of security or tracking device in Kemel’s car.
In other action….Hakan happens to drop in on Zenep at her hotel. She appears to have the Carona virus (one can hope)…..and is not looking well. She refuses his offer to be taken to the hospital but she does take the goodie bag he was thoughtful enough to bring her. After he leaves…he calls her mom to update her on Zenep’s condition.
The End…
OK. Up until this epi…I was OK to play along with the shenanigans and beanie cap moments but I was annoyed with this epi. This whole stupid cat and mouse thing about finally grabbing a DNA sample …and Emir being a step ahead on this was unnecessary. Sure... they’re dragging out the suspense but the writers could have done this in a smarter away.

Ep. 78 Part 1: A Meeting to Die For
Ringo continues to insist that Julia shouldn’t have made that promise to Santi. After they are interrupted by one of Julia’s patients, Ringo goes to see Santi and invites him to go play football.
At Rosa’s mom’s house, Rocio leaves the room, so mom asks why the fight was canceled. Rosa tries to avoid telling her the truth, but breaks down crying and tells her about the accident and not having any strength in her arms. The doctors told her that if she fights and gets hit in the head, she could end up paralyzed. Mom tries to console her by telling her that boxing is not everything in life…and they have each other…hugs, hugs.
Ringo and Santi are playing in the park when Teresa calls him to tell him that Gloria is there to pick up Santi. As Gloria waits for Santi, she tells Teresa about her new job…she will earn LOTS of money. Teresa hopes that with all that money, Gloria can feed Santi better.
Guachin bumps into an old friend. As they talk, Renato, Teresa’s BF, passes by. The friend can’t stand Renato because he works at an old folk’s home and steals their retirement money (hmmm…is he sure?).
Santi and Ringo arrive at the cafeteria. When Santi goes for his things, Gloria notes that Santi is no longer upset with Ringo. She warns Ringo that just because Santi is no longer angry with him, it does not mean that Santi will return to live with him. Ringo doesn’t know what stupidities Gloria has filled Santi’s head with, but he is sure that Santi will soon realize how wrong he has been. After Gloria and Santi leave, Teresa reassures Ringo that it won’t be long before Santi returns to them.
Ringo goes to see Julia and tells her that he and Santi spent a good time together, but he doesn’t like that they can’t be together. Julia doesn’t want to be an obstacle between Ringo and Santi. When Ringo tells her that he can’t be happy without her, Julia asks him not to make it more difficult. Ringo suggests that they can see each other in secret. He mentions the dinner he had planned, but Julia tells him that they will have to postpone it…until things get resolved with Santi and Gloria.
Alejo enters to see Ringo to talk about Santi’s custody. After Ringo tells him that he will never be happy and shares about Julia’s promise to Santi, Alejo asks for details, but Ringo no longer wants to talk about it; he prefers to discuss the custody.
Manuel is meeting with Eva and Max. After Eva lists all the shareholders and their percentages, Manuel explains that it doesn’t matter because he and Julia still have the majority of the shares and they can vote Diego out. As they continue to discuss, Julia enters; so, Eva tells her that she has the divorce decree in her office. Once in Eva’s office, Julia sighs in relief that she is finally divorced. Eva thinks that now Julia is free to be with Ringo, but Julia shares that there is an issue with Santi…she promised to stay away from Ringo. Eva wonders if Julia is sacrificing herself for Santi, but Julia clarifies that she is doing it for Ringo who can’t be happy being separated from his son.
Ep. 78 Part 2: A Meeting to Die For
At Turco’s house, Gloria is praising Santi for getting Julia to leave Ringo when Turco arrives dressed in his see-through white tunic and white pants. He is very happy that she returned…they were born to be together (yeah, yeah whatever, you poor delusional soul). Gloria pushes him away and reminds him that he kidnapped her. Turco explains that he only wanted her with him and he didn’t know what else to do. He now realizes that he was wrong. Santi approaches and Turco wants to hug him, but Gloria tells Santi to go to his room. Gloria then tells Turco that what they had is over…all she wants is a divorce. Turco thought she had returned to be with him. Gloria bluntly tells him that she only returned because this is her house and she is not moving from there! Turco realizes that Gloria is only interested in the house. When he tries to lecture her about being materialistic, Gloria tells him to take his corny ideas elsewhere. As Turco leaves, he tells her that life will give her what she deserves (yes indeed-y!)
Meeting again in Manuel’s office, Manuel gets a call from Diego who wants to know what Manuel is up to with the shareholder meeting he has called for the next day. Manuel wonders if Diego is nervous…but he goes ahead and tells him that they will take the presidency from him (o-o-oh, bad move, Manuel!). When Diego reminds him that he has the shareholders behind him, Manuel counters that he is also a shareholder. Once they hang up, Diego makes some calls to make sure that the other shareholders are still backing him.
Renato arrives at Teresa’s cafeteria. When Guachin enters, Renato greets him, but Guachin is very rude to him. When Teresa and Renato leave, Pepe wonders why Guachin was so rude, so Guachin tells him what his friend shared. Guachin then asks for some food to go…to take to Luchis.
Gloria goes to see Santi is his bedroom. After she assures him that she is not getting back with Turco, she tells Santi about her trip the next day. She can’t take Santi, so he will be staying with his grandma.
Rosa is having lunch with Rocio and her mom when Oso arrives. He wants to talk to her. Mom quickly welcomes him in. As he sits down, Oso chats with Rocio and tells mom that he was able to find the house by asking where “Rosa la Maravillosa” lived.
Guachin arrives to an empty apartment. He finds a note from Luchis who tells him that as long as he doesn’t get her a decent place to live, he shouldn’t look for her. Ay, Caray! Guachin is worried at first, but then comments, “Eh, …she’s the one missing out!” ...as he grabs the bag of food. (Gotta love Guachin!)
With head hanging low and crying, Turco returns to his spiritual community and tells his ‘teacher’ that Gloria only returned because of her interest in what he had…not because she loves him. When he tells the ‘teacher’ that he wants to return, teacher tells grasshopper that these are paths that life gives us…the doors will always be open for him there.
Diego calls Brenda to tell her about the meeting Julia has called. He wants Brenda to attend so that she can support him.
Ep. 78 Part 3: A Meeting to Die For
After mom takes Rocio to bed, Oso tells Rosa that he is there to take her back. When she tells him that what they had has ended, Oso responds that it is only because that is what she wanted. Regardless of the fact that she doesn’t want to be with him, Oso still wants her to return so that he can train her to box. Rosa reminds him that she can’t fight and what will happen to her if she gets a hit in the head; so, Oso tries to encourage her by telling her about Vinny Pazienza, the boxer who had a broken neck after an accident…he was paralyzed but did not give up and strengthened his neck muscles and other areas; after that he not only walked again, he was able to box and won. Oso is sure that if they do the same, she will be able to box again…she is a brave, strong woman who doesn’t allow herself to be defeated. Rosa isn’t convinced and insists that she is done with boxing. After she thanks him, Oso hopes that she will think about it, but Rosa has nothing to think about.
Manuel has dinner with Julia, Max and Eva. Manuel will be completely happy when he can’t see them get married, but Eva yells him that marriage is not necessary nowadays. Manuel insists that he wants to see her dressed in white and give her away. When he tells Julia that he would like to give her away too, Julia tells him that she and Ringo are no longer together. Afterwards, they all toast to the success they will have at tomorrow’s meeting. (too much happiness and hopes for the future??)
Guevara calls Oso who tells him that he couldn’t get anywhere with Rosa. Oso will return tomorrow to see Guevara after he has his bandages removed.
Gloria takes Santi to Teresa’s house very early in the morning. After Tere takes Santi to get some breakfast, Ringo asks Gloria for details…he doesn’t really care what she does or doesn’t do, but he would like to know when she plans to come leave Santi to stay with him. When Gloria mentions that she knows that he and Julia are no longer together and that she and Santi will come back to live there so that they can be a big happy family, Ringo tells her not to be getting ideas. Gloria sharply tells him that they will always be together; their son will keep them together until they die. Ringo should not resist…sooner or later, they will be the family they used to be (stubborn, delusional beyotch!)
Rosa’s mom asks Rosa what Oso wanted, so Rosa tells her that he came to take her back and help her box again. but she refused to go with him. Rosa thinks she will regain some of the strength in her arms, but her dream of boxing has ended. Mom tells her that she should listen to Oso; if he told her he could help her, then she should take the chance and trust Oso. When Rosa reminds her that she could end up paralyzed; mom realizes that and worries, but this has to do with Rosa’s dreams. If Oso thinks that she can do it, she should trust Oso who loves her and wouldn’t do anything to put her in jeopardy. Rosa has already decided and doesn’t want to get her hopes up. Mom warns Rosa that she doesn’t want to see her frustrated…Rosa is giving up too soon and she will know that all her life.
Julia and Eva are in the conference room wondering why Manuel is late. Diego slithers in and hisses about Eva being there. Julia sternly tells him that she invited her. Diego reminds her that Eva can’t participate, but Julia knows that well. Diego points out that none of this would have happened if they would just come to an agreement, but Julia refuses to have anything to do with him. When Brenda enters Julia wonders why she is there, so Brenda tells her that she is there to support Diego. Both Julia and Eva are in disbelief.
The doctor takes Guevara’s bandages off and tells him to open his eyes slowly. Guevara breathes heavily and mumbles, “No, it can’t be.” When Susana asks what is happening, Guevara blurts out that he can see! Hugs, hugs.
Ep. 78 Part 4: A Meeting to Die For
Gloria takes Santi to Teresa’s house very early in the morning. The doctor takes Guevara’s bandages off and tells him to open his eyes slowly. Guevara breathes heavily and mumbles, “No, it can’t be.” When Susana asks what is happening, Guevara blurts out that he can see! Hugs, hugs.
Ringo calls Julia to wish her luck. When she tells him that they are only waiting for Manuel, Ringo is surprised since Manuel is always punctual, He then tells her about Gloria leaving Santi to go on a job-related trip. Eva comes out and wonders where her father is; she worries that something may have happened to him (Ay, no, please no!).
Brenda complains that they are taking too long. Julia asks that everyone be patient; they are waiting for Manuel. When she goes out to ask Eva about Manuel, Eva tells Julia that she has called her father several times, but he doesn’t answer. Eva calls Alejo and tells him that she is worried about her father; so, he offers to go look for him. As he is leaving, Ringo enters and Alejo invites him to go with him. After they leave, Guevara enters and tells everyone that he can see!! He has been missing out on such beautiful things in life. They then talk about Oso going to try to get Rosa to come back, but Oso couldn’t convince her.
Guachin’s friend calls Guachin and tells him that he wants get back at Renato for stealing from the old folks. As Guachin discusses teaching Renato a lesson by taking away the money he stole from the old folks…and even wearing a mask so that Renato won’t recognize him, Guevara listens. When Guachin hangs up, Guevara calls Guachin a thief… he now knows how he gets his money and accuses him of being a thief! Guachin tries to explain, but Guevara grabs him and pushes him out the door…they’ll see what explanation Guachin will give to the cops!
Ep. 78 Part 5: A Meeting to Die For
Brenda suggests that they cancel the meeting. Julia begs for time since someone is already going to see what happened to Manuel.
Guevara forces Guachin all the way to the police station and tells the cop to arrest him for being a thief. Guachin tries to explain and tells him that the money he has on him is from his father, but it falls on deaf ears and he is taken away.
Alejo and Ringo go looking for Manuel. When he doesn’t answer the door and they hear the TV on, they go ask the groundskeeper for the keys. He doesn’t have them but the housekeeper does.
Guachin calls for Manuel for help, but since he isn’t there, Max gets the phone and agrees to go over to help him.
Rosa goes to the bus station and tells Oso that she is very scared, but she doesn’t want to give up trying…if he helps her. Oso gladly agrees to help her regain her strength and fulfil her dreams…and they hug.
The housekeeper opens Manuel’s apartment for Alejo and Ringo. When they enter his bedroom, they find Manuel in bed unresponsive!! Ringo listens for a heartbeat, but can’t hear anything…it seems he is DEAD!!
OH, NOES!!! CARAS IMPACTADAS!! And we we’ll have to wait till tomorrow to see if Manuel is really dead…ARGHHH!
RATS Drats Brats, COCKRoaches, slithering snakes, Good Guy Manuel looked pretty dam dead. Dr. Ringo checked for a pulse and heartbeat. I mean, would Satan/Diablo just put Manuel in some kind of suspended animation until the meeting was over? Bastard! Meanwhile he is sitting there the whole time with that smug smirk knowing why Manuel is late. And Bitch Brenda can ride in the sidecar with him on his trip to Hell. Arrrrgggghhh. Ay Caramba !
J U S T S O O O O V E R Crying Rose and her Goodwill reject wardrobe. A whole crowd of people who care for you and you want to run to the country and rot like a stump. Goodbye, have a nice fightless life.
Guevera and Gauchin sure makes a good argument that if you help someone they will turn around and screw you every time. What did the Indians do when you went blind? Probably starved you to death and had a nice ceremony for your corpse. :-)
Thank You RGV, far above excellent as always.
RgvChick, thanks for the great recap of an entertaining episode. “stubborn delusional BEYOTCH” You beat me to using the BEYOTCH word! ; ) We are moving now.
Poor Gauchín! Stuck! Seems like newly sighted Guevara better go get his ears checked.
Yay! Julia is a free woman!
Here is hoping that everyone’s suspicions about Gloria’s new job turns out to be true.
If Manuel is dead, was he killed?
Can’t wait until tonight.
"A Meeting To Die For" was perfect Rgv Chick! Riveting recap - every word was wonderful. Exceptional as always!
Manuel was a wonderful soul and had everything to live for - "(too much happiness and hopes for the future??)" could not have said it better. Elsa pregnant, all of his friends who loved him (count me in that category).
So, Guevara has gone mad? What a disappointment. He'll have more than egg on his face when he finds out Guachin paid for his surgery. Guevara looked so sanctimonious and self righteous I hardly recognized him. What about the heart and spirit he knows the kid has?
Sorry, but I don't understand what the heck Oso is doing. Pushing Rosa into trying to return to boxing?? What is he thinking?? Oh, he's not. "Rosa reminds her that she could end up paralyzed" - please tell me her mother isn't getting caught up in the crazy too!
Gloria is also residing in crazytown. Loved "Teresa hopes that with all that money, Gloria can feed Santi better".
Enjoyed seeing Turco in his "see-through white tunic and white pants". The actor is great!
I hardly think Manuel died in his sleep. Let's catch Diego before he kills again.
Rgv Chick, thank you, thank you. You've made my day.
Diana
Jarifa, thanks
Gloria, with nothing but a great wardrobe to recommend her lands this GREAT paying job selling Barbie 2.0 across the borders? Uh Huh.......... It would take someone stupid enough to try to backtrack across a burned bridge back to Ringo to believe that one. And her new boss looks like an FBI's most wanted poster.
There are so many anvils circling in a holding pattern waiting for an open landing spot I hear them clanging into each other.
Diana, no “sorry” needed. I so agree about Rosa. IMO, going for her “boxing dream” is crazy. Beyond her own well-being, doesn’t she have a DAUGHTER to support or is mom going to take care of both of them in perpetuity if something worse happens to her? Follow your dream even if it could leave you in debilitating danger????? Hearing her mother pontificate made me want to cringe. That being said, I think we both know where this is going with only 4 episodes left: a fairy tale ending with record time physical therapy and muscle development! I will be surprised if that does not happen.
AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! This whole episode had me screaming in frustration. One dumb move after another! But you did a great job writing up this hot mess, Rgv Chick.
First the title: A Meeting to Die For.....ooooh, perfect. Alas
Manuel wonders if Diego is nervous…but he goes ahead and tells him that they will take the presidency from him (o-o-oh, bad move, Manuel!).
Of course. I figured from that moment on, Manuel was a dead duck. And so he is.
Loved your shoutout to the Karate Kid..."teacher tells grasshopper that these are paths life gives us...
I thought at first this guru was some shyster but so far he seems pretty legit. Time will tell. But at this point I'm glad time is short. These people are annoying me no end.
The whole snafu with Guachin had me screaming too. But I think the doctor probably is a scammer. And hopefully will be un-masked in about two minutes of the next episode. Not that Guachin will ever see that confiscated cash again, though. Or Luchis.
Diego slithers in and hisses... Love all the snake-like descriptions of Diego. Fella is just so naturally hateful in appearance and manner. He'll have a long career playing scumbags I'm sure.
OT Went to grocery at 5:15 am this morning and they still didn't have most of what I needed. But it was an interesting experience. A few bleary-eyed shoppers and a ton of frantic employees restocking the shelves. I did get one fellow to open up the box of lentils so I could stock up on those. Strange times.
Our comments crossed Kirby and Jarifa.
"Manuel looked pretty dam dead". I sadly agree Kirby. Oh and dolls Gloria will be taking look more like Betsy Wetsy than Barbie. Just sayin'. Of course you wouldn't know that nor would anyone who didn't have one way, way back in the day :). And Gloria does have a great wardrobe. And an outsize ego to match.
"Seems like newly sighted Guevara better go get his ears checked" could not have said it better Jarifa.
"I think we both know where this is going with only 4 episodes left: a fairy tale ending with record time physical therapy and muscle development!" Jarifa, as unfathomable as that is, I completely agree. Hey, I am a staunch believer in miracles, just not this one.
Diana
"But I think the doctor probably is a scammer. And hopefully will be un-masked in about two minutes of the next episode. Not that Guachin will ever see that confiscated cash again, though. Or Luchis". Thoughtful points to ponder Judy.
I thought the doctor isn't on the level either but did wonder why he would be courting Teresa if money is his aim? I would think he'd have wealthy patients. I'm wondering if he is even a real doctor?
I had to smile that Guachin accepted the loss of Luchis fairly quickly. He likely knows poison when he sees it.
Diana
Judy. Grocery store...My plan has been to just wait it out. These idiot sheep who are emptying the store shelves only have so much money or credit and storage space. I am thinking my normal everyday supply of food will tide me over until I have simply outlasted the idiot TV believers. I have cooked freezer burned chicken on the grill in the past and could not detect it in the finished product.
Chickie, thank you for the excellent recap. Wow, hard to believe that this show is hurtling toward the finale. Will anyone have a happy ending and will the villains get separate and varied anvils or one huge one. These days as I am stuck at home, I am beginning to feel that house arrest might be a punishment.
Judyb, I had a Tiny Tears doll that I loved. You gave her water from a tiny bottle and then changed her wet diaper. Nobody thought about mold those days. So, are these dolls filled with drugs ? Well, at least Gloria was smart enough to lose that skunk hair.
I am glad to have the patio and you good guys to "talk" to as I wanted around my house and yard. Take care . Stay safe. Stay well. Stay sane.
Good Morning, feisty Patio!
Great comments, Kirby, Jarifa, Diana, Judy, and Susanlynn! Thanks!
It is too obvious that Manuel just happened to die right before the meeting; and there is no way Diego wouldn't know how many shares Manuel has; so Diego must have killed or had him killed. What a low-down, no-good excuse of a man! Kirby, " And Bitch Brenda can ride in the sidecar with him on his trip to Hell." YES! Please! I cannot stand to look at her..she always seems like she is drugged up and $%&^&$* UP! Sorry, I. Can't. Stand. Her!
Jarifa, "Poor Gauchín! Stuck! Seems like newly sighted Guevara better go get his ears checked." Of everything that happened last, this was the most frustrating and shocking one. Writers, c'mon please! Stop with the needless waste of air time and concentrate on giving us a good wrap-up!
Diana, "So, Guevara has gone mad? What a disappointment. He'll have more than egg on his face when he finds out Guachin paid for his surgery..." I hope he does! Guachin's conversation would have made anyone suspicious, but Guevara's reaction was way over the top. And what was Guachin thinking when he agreed to help his friend? Why not just report the guy to the cops and let them handle it! And Judy, it never crossed my mind that Renato was truly a scammer, I hope not!
And the whole Rosa thing is getting just as bad. WHo in their right mind would encourage someone with a head injury to return to boxing. Does Oso really think that he knows better than the doctors? At the very least, get the girl a second opinion before getting her into the ring. Jarifa, " a fairy tale ending with record time physical therapy and muscle development!" As hard as it will be to believe, yup, you're probably right.
JudyB, "Loved your shoutout to the Karate Kid..."teacher tells grasshopper that these are paths life gives us..." Thanks for reminding me about the Karate Kid, but my thoughts went much further back than that. Remember the 70s TV western series, "Kungfu" with David Carradine? LOL And "I thought at first this guru was some shyster but so far he seems pretty legit." Me too! I don't mind being wrong about him :-)
Nett, thanks for yet another superb recap!
"This whole stupid cat and mouse thing about finally grabbing a DNA sample …and Emir being a step ahead on this was unnecessary." I agree! And I'm also getting tired of all the other stupid cat and mouse chases too. The writers have done an excellent job, but they really need to get this moving in a different direction. Enough with who is smarter than whom; both men are smart...we get it!
So is Zeynep going to die of the virus? Hmmmm...I certainly wouldn't mind.
I still get a bad feeling about Ayhan. He seems too downcast ever since Leila confronted him and that is out of character for him. I like the light-hearted, playful Ayhan so much better.
I'm wondering if Nihan switched the pacifiers and took the used one downstairs in an attempt to get Kemal to confirm that he is the father (thinking that Leila would take that one). That would mean that Leila lifted the wrong pacifier!
Maybe Oso is thinking if she gets paralyzed, he will not spend all his time chasing her down, bringing her back, begging her to stay, as we have watched this whole time.
I too thought Turco's Guru was a scammer, like so many who insist on new converts giving all their worldly possessions to the cult, but he has shown himself to be far from that so far.
If Gauchin was not suffering from SNS, he would have punched newly sighted, recovering Guevera into permanent blindness along with missing teeth and a broken nose. The kid lives at the boxing club,he knows how to land a good solid punch. NGFL over and over again. I'm protecting myself by being a jackass sometimes. :-)
Diana...Betsy Wetsie! Yessss, of course I remember her. And Chatty Kathy as well. Good times.
Kirby...Good attitude about grocery shopping amigo. I admire your sang-froid. I've got a husband with heart issues and a son with gastrointestinal issues so having the right stuff on hand seems important. But who knows? The future is up for grabs right now.
Susanlynn...Thanks for reminding us about Gloria's skunk hair. She's about to be deep-sixed by her new job. Couldn't happen to a nicer person. But what will be the karma for Beastly Brenda. She is possibly the most obnoxious character I have ever seen in a show.
Just went to WalMart and picked up a few things. As I do not eat what most people seem to eat, and cook primarily from scratch, I found everything I was interested in. OTOH, the prepared junk, heart attack in a box, and microwave stuff shelves were empty. Anything laden with chemical names you can not even pronounce was not to be had.
My take on food is the less humans have mucked around with it,the better it is for me.
ALL the frozen food was gone, a whole section of WalMart groceries. Ooooo living in Hurricane Central what if there were an extended power outage? And watch 100 metric tons of previously frozen food hit the landfill.
When I was small, my Mom and Gramma canned everything. It would keep for at least a season without any human care or power needs. Impervious to bugs and rodents or anything except glass breakage. After a big session, I remember listening to the ongoing occasional !donk! as the jars cooled and the lid signaled that it was sealed. Lost art.
Great work, RGV Chick.
Nothing new to add except to express my shock about Manuel. This is so wrong and so undeserved. I have to admit that I also suspect Diego and want him to pay in spades. Is this meant to balance a miracle for Rosa?
Ringo to Santi: Well, my totally mucoso malcriado Hijo, I have good news and bad news. The bad, your Mama Glorious, is in jail in Arizona EEUU, and will probably N E V E R come home. And if she were to, the cartel would quickly kill her. Toobadsosad. Get over it, at least she was not hit by a car.
Now the Good News: I have already found you a replacement and put a ring on her. Meet Julia, Hijo. Oh, yeah, you two already know each other don't you? :-)
Urban, you gave me a good laugh. “Is this meant to balance a miracle for Rosa?” They wouldn’t want us to be too happy, right?
Kirby....Canning is indeed a lost art. My mom did a little when were very young. Hot sweaty work (no air-conditioning then. )But wonderful for those of us who got to eat it. The produce section was well stocked. But no steel- cut oats. And dried bean section was completely wiped out. Until I saw an unopened box of lentils which the employee opened for me. Forgot all about keeping 6 feet of distance. But didn’t hug anybody LOL
I managed to score bathroom tissue yesterday in my regular supermarket; all I had to do was get there early. They were restocking on pasta and tomato products but rice was only coming in in 20 lbs bags. There was adequate dairy and deli products, meat, poultry, but frozen foods were depleted along with canned items. Almost no dried soup. No dried beans, but plenty Goya canned ones.
Dollar General was low on pasta, soups, and frozen stuff, but not completely out
Worst of all news today was the Met cancelling the rest of the season. Now watching a free screening of the Bayeriche Staatsoper's Il Trovatore. Ugly production but it has my favorite tenor...
Urban, glad to hear that you are getting to enjoy your favorite tenor after your shopping trip. I haven’t been out shopping here since Sunday but our local grocery had everything at that time and was buzzing even at 8:00 a.m.
Rvgchk....Emir is too bent out of shape regarding the pacifiers...so I think leyla lifted the correct one off the tray the nanny was carrying. Nihan had the fake one but she is too scared of emirs vengeful acts so I think she played alone with how he set up the fake pacifier. Thats why he has asu working her magic on kemel at home.
Too bad about ayan. I think he will bounce back once he speaks with leyla again. Hopefully galip nor emir will push him into doing anything dreadful. Unfortunately emirs vengeful plans involve leyla....thats scary.
Nett
Thanks, Rgv Chick. Your title is an award winner. Like JudyB, I enjoyed the nod to the Karate Kid teacher tells grasshopper that these are paths life gives us...
I think there's hope for Turco. At least he knows something's broken and he's trying to fix it.
I'm still hoping that somehow Manuel survives, but I'm sure Diego gave him something to make it look like a heart attack. What kind of romantic comedy is this when two good men are murdered in cold blood and two women lose their loving fathers prematurely?
Guevara hauling Guachin off to jail is just insane. Teresa's boyfriend seemed okay to me. That whole storyline came out of nowhere and left me dumbfounded.
I waiver between watching The news and running away from it. The situation seems to go from bad to worse. My friend Dan's daughter is pregnant and will soon deliver . What a time to bring a baby into the world. On top of everything, her mother, my dear friend , passed away a little over a year ago. My Friends and family are keeping in touch via texting and emailing. Ever since I lost my sweet hub, the world just seems to be getting stranger and stranger. Hang in there.
The telenovelas offer some distraction , but fact has suddenly become stranger than fiction. I am sending out good vibrations to all of you )))))) Stay safe . Stay connected to the patio.
Nette, little and to the point. I know
These actors are Havin fun with these one upmanship plots. Tryin to Out smart each other raises the adrenalin
Levels with these men.
No matter how much emir Trys to keep
The DNA of Deniz from kemal the closer
He gets to finding out the truth. It's
Frustraiting watching the process just
Crawl along, but in the end kemal Will
Have his baby. And his baby momma.
I do not like Asu. She's like a snake.
Actin like shes so hurt and innocent.
I hated seeing her drug kemal. Get rid
Of that skank kemal.
So, it turns out that ayhan is hero
After all kinda. And leyla's and snoty vildan's dad was a first class crook.
Which would explain vildan's nasty disposition in the starting episodes.
She was like dear ol dad.
Emir is just evil. I cant stand the way he Treats nihan. I think their time in that joke of a marriage is coming to an end. Deniz can finally get some quality time with real daddy.
Ok on to the next episode. Thank you
Nette. Yall stay clean n sanitized.
Tonight’s episode was a real tear jerker especially when these big strong men tears are raining down, my tears were flowing. Good job and loved the “grasshopper” scene.
