Steve, the show that Cennet replaces was Exatlón, and I believe the events on it were being shown pretty close to the time things happened. I suspect they had to come up with something for 8:00. I have not watched Exatlón but previews have shown groups of people close together. They must have had to stop filming it.

La dona 2. Did anyone else get the feeling that some scenes had been cut from last night's episode? I don't recall seeing Gonzalez getting killed, just Lucho running in his direction, and I didn't see anyone shooting in Noelia's and her mother's direction, just Navarrete, the police and then an ambulance showing up after the attack, when Noelia's mother had injured her head while dropping to the ground to escape the gunfire. And another one bites the dust! Braulio killed Fernanda in a really creepy way. I wonder how many more corpses until this novela finally ends!
La dona 2. There have been a few good signs for Altagracia's character later. She threatened Fernanda with a belt, but did not actually beat her. And although she is very angry with Felina for collaborating with Braulio against Manuel, at least (so far) she hasn't tried to do her in. Could it be because in the future both of them could be in an El senor de los cielos sequel?

SpanProf, I too felt that some scenes had been cut [which is fine with me--the more cutting, the sooner we'll be done, and if some scenes therefore make less sense, well, lots of things made no sense even without the cuts :-) ] I can't recall whether we saw Gonzalez get killed, but I know we didn't see what happened with Florencia and Noelia before Florencia winds up with a wound on her head.
And yes, Braulio's kissing and then strangling Fernanda was creepy, though no more so than so many other things Braulio has done. The only thing different was that after he'd killed her, he sat down in the room with her body and looked somewhat regretful. Which moved me not at all.

I saw something flash on the screen last night about a "special edition" of La Reina del Sur 2 on April 21--I wasn't sure whether it was a one-night thing or something extended. What you say makes a lot more sense than a one-night thing. Though why they're cutting Operación Pacífico, which people seem to be enjoying, rather than La Doña 2, I don't know. Perhaps SpanProf is right in suspecting that Telemundo may be planning to merge La Basura2 into yet another season of El Señor de los Depends. I don't really care--I want nothing more to do with either of these turkeys.

La dona 2. Juanita: I was a bit surprised that they didn't show s Gonzalez's death, because evidently Lucho then defaced the corpse--the kind of thing this tn usually loves to show. I too enjoyed hearing Karen's listening to Vidal's tapes. Hope that guy ends up in jail--it would be one of the few positive plot strands in this creepy novela.

Arias died from the bomb attack. The OP team attends his funeral
Vargas did NOT die from the poison. He was given an antidote. [From now on El Guapo will be EG; need to cut keystrokes in an emergency!] EG tells him that they don’t kill innocents. If Vargas had pushed the key to activate the bomb, El Duende would have killed him.
Pedraza wakes up super hung over and with Lupe hanging over him. She thinks they’re back as a couple and has brought some of her clothes to his place. He tells her that’s not the case and she leaves, furious.
In Santander (in the north of Colombia) EG, Joaquín/Enrique, Vargas and Mariana are all in the same house. Vargas gets a snake tattoo on his back and Mariana hears him scream.
General Lopez shows Amalia the report about Karine, her child (the same age as Amalia's younger son) and also evidence about Jorge’s money laundering.
We find out that Maldonado is involved with EG, and getting Jorge in the money laundering business was part of a plan to smear and discredit Amalia.
EG realizes he’s got a hostage to use against Amalia in Mariana.
Amalia meets with Karine and lets her know that Jorge used her name for some of the money laundering businesses. Karine starts out suspicious, but Amalia seals the deal asking what Karine would do if someone tried to take away HER child.
Anther twist. I love the twists in this novela. Vargas climbs a ladder at home and takes down a hidden satellite telephone. He calls some American [DEA?] and says that he’s inside. He passed all the tests. So is Vargas actually one of the good guys?
Amalia shows up at Jorge’s office and socks him in the jaw. She confronts him with Karine and his illegal activities. She tells him that they could BOTH lose custody of the boys. He is immediately contrite.
Paula visits Valeria while she’s being treated for the letters carved in her back. They appear to reconcile.
At the custody hearing no dirty laundry is aired. Jorge withdraws his sole custody request.
Vargas is still up to his neck in the cadet prostitution ring. A fiscal, Matamoros, only wants Lucas Ángel. Later Solano urges him to go through with it.
Jones shows up to work with the OP crew. Amalia chews him out for giving the cartel the photo of EG.
EG is not happy that Amalia and Jorge are getting divorced. He thinks this loses the leverage Maldonado got on Jorge. Vargas says that there will be an opportunity to grab up Amalia’s children and get her to exchange herself for the kids.
Susana Vega has Lucas Ángel record his “visit” with Matamoros, promising him that his face and voice would be concealed.
Jones goes to Santander province, a town near where EG is holed up called Cúcuta. He gets drugged in a bar. He’s got his hair dyed dark brown and sports a fake moustache. It turns out he’s with the prostitute that was used by the narcos to trap Jorge way back when. This woman manages to get rid of El Duende who has come to find out what a gringo is doing in their town. She convinces him Rick Brown is her boyfriend.
Solano sees Lucas kiss Susana Vega in a car.
Pedraza tries to get into a house with a gated entry. Is this the house where EG is holed up? He may have a deal with a delivery guy to pay him to let Ped be the delivery guy.

Christian Tappan (Vargas) is doing a great job as a bad guy, love his expressions, like the, do I really have to get this brand, what will people say?

really Guapo, you don't hurt innocent people, what about Liliana and her doctor, or all the people in her boarding house, oh ok, Guerrero did that.

La dona 2. I was surprised that, even though it was difficult, Vidal was removed through a regular procedure by the higher ups. Leon and Karen recorded Vidal offering protection from prosecution in exchange for a bribe, Leon took the recording to Vidal's superior, who resisted and blamed Leon for being "bad too," but who ultimately did the right thing and suspended Vidal pending investigation of charges--the absolutely right bureaucratic remedy. Yes, Halimacandy, Karen was an absolutely genius choice to replace Vidal. I hope she starts to clean house of all that corruption! Oh dear! Yes, that poor employee of Felina! And even though Altagracia didn't intend to have anyone killed, the war is on between her and Felina!

deb, I was definitely wondering where Pedraza was, trying to get into this house with a big gate and presumably a need to speak into an intercom to get admission. Are there any bad guys in Mexico for him to pursue? This is why I thought he might have gone to Colombia. OTOH he could not pretend to be an innocent delivery person should EG see him. They've "met".

novelera, my take, Guapo is basically on the run but his biz is in Mexico and didn't he leave behind the big snake and daughter (Guapo's wife), and Guerrero.
