- Amorcito Corazon has ended on Galavision.

- Mar de Amor has ended on Galavision.

- Al diablo con los guapos started today (3-15-21) replacing Mar de Amor @ 4PM - 6PM.

UniMas schedule update:

- Pajaro Soñador no longer repeats at 8AM.

- Carita de Angel (a children's telenovela) now airs at 8AM.
 

"MEPS" Episode 94:

QT #47, Part 1

- Facundo bets the rest of the lads that Juan won't kiss Cami, but he loses when Juan sweeps her down in a theatrical smooch that displays nothing more than a fondness for Golden Age Hollywood movies.

- Leo tells Sab he won't let Tirso be the boss of her -- she can stay at La Noria, where she might be his occasional lover but never, never his wife. Got it?

- Art promises to close off downtown for Sandy's wedding, invite all his politician friends, and serve mezcal and bear stew. I think that's what he said.

- Mat finds Val out by the Fountain of Tears in her black turtleneck, bemoaning her horrrrrrible pasado. He gets way too close. Again.

- Aaron gives Minnie shot in the butt that he says would not be necessary if she'd dial back the drinking a little. She says she's been a good girl and asks for her money back, and he says it's in the bank, just like Esme's. She tells him Leo included the sack o' pesos in the will challenge, which surprises him.
 

QT #47, Part 2

- Ange and Tito see Servando treating the horses roughly, and Tito takes out his slingshot and beans him with a rock. Val defends Tito and Mat defends Val. Servando sure has a nasty temper, but look who he hangs out with. Mat confiscates the slingshot.

- Sandy tells Val that Mat is mad at her for siding with Leo over the inheritance, but Val disbelieves her. A large duck was hired as an extra in this scene. Now I'm wondering if the animal wranglers are sending us secret messages.

- Esme pressures Dalia to hire Mags at the hacienda so she can cozy up to...her long-lost daughter. Mat overhears.

- Leo brings Sab home from the hospital and orders Dalia not to let Tirso into the house. Haven't we had this conversation before? Did he pee on the rug again?

- Art calls in a priest-boss to put Padre Gabo in his place. He says if PG doesn't spill about el boxeo, he will.
 

QT #47, Part 3

- Leo brings Val flowers and tries to make peace. A black cat walks through this scene, which is definitely suggestive. He promises to stop sexually harassing her, which I guess is as good as it gets with him.

- Padre G details his lurid past of sex, drugs, and bare-knuckle boxing under the seal of the confessional. Shouldn't this have come up in priest school? It's even worse than we thought. He lived a life of luxurious depravity, while the man he accidentally killed was only trying to put food on his family's table. The priest-boss tells him that holy orders are a vocation, not a penance, and that God loves us all equally, sinner and saint. He holds him while he cries.

- Sandy tells Mat she's going to continue working for Leo so she can spy on him. Is she smart enough to be a double agent? Mat remains wildly unenthusiastic about the big wedding.

- Luisa comes back to get her things. Art will probably not take this well.
 

"MEPS" Episode 94 Recap (Part I)
1.) Back inside the Elizalde Mansion, Damian (who was sent to one of the guest rooms) gets his freak on with Psycho Barbara. This crazy woman must be that damn good in bed isn't she (Daddy Elizalde, Artemio, Damian & God knows who else she must've slept with).

2.) Over at Casa Santorro: Eduardo/Franco still moping over losing his one true love the HOT Redhead forever LOL. Dude you'll need to focus on your revenge mission first. Anyway, upon returning to his darkened room, he sees the piles of Fernanda's letters on his bed. Big question is does he know that Nagging Gardenia was the one, who ransacked the room ?

3.) Over across the hall, Nagging Gardenia becomes more & more GRUMPY: this girl needs to sit down & SHUT THE EXPLETIVE UP.

4.) Somewhere in the middle of town, we see Jackass #2 Camilo remembering his face-to-face meeting with Venus (AKA Lovely Norton). He seems to be that naive that Venus will be his one & only: The viewers watching this continue to LOL at him.

5.) Venus & Martina go into one of those BFF talks: Martina is freaking HOT!

6.) Next morning: we see Damian bringing Fernanda breakfast to her bed. I am still surprised that neither Daddy Elizalde or Fernanda have figured out that Damian & Psycho Barbara have been doing the horizontal mambo LOL.

7.) In the meantime back at Casa Santorro, we see Eduardo/Franco reading several of the Redhead's letters from 20+ years.

8.) Steve, Jr., gets notified by Eduardo that he's read Fernanda's letters from 20+ years. He cannot believe it just by looking at his reaction including the mixture of English & Spanish.

9.) Over at the Elizalde Mansion inside Fernanda's room, we see Damian the Moocher trying another trick to continue fooling the Redhead.

10.) We can see that Damian the Moocher gets his job back at Grupo Lactos. What could possibly go wrong ?

11.) Daddy Elizalde is one of the most DUMBEST & GULLIBLE idiots in Mexico & in the world. I cannot believe that he hasn't figured out his 2nd & EVIL wife is fooling & playing this geezer like an idiot.

12.) Memo to Daddy Elizalde: your day is coming Old Geezer!
 

QT #47

Gracias, Blue Lass.

Did they omit the scene in the saloon with Remi talking to Magdalena about how to approach Val? Our Remi is the man of the hour on this. He should consider a career as a school counselor or something like that.

What's with those earrings Val was wearing? They look like diaper pins, so they must be symbolizing her stated desire for a large family (which I don't think Sandy wants).

The glimpse into Padre G's past was disturbing. It doesn't jive with his current persona. Was he born poor? Going into the priesthood isn't a penance and shouldn't be seen that way. He could still do lots of good as a secular man with a love life and a normal circle of friends. Maybe he needs a good shrink.

 

"MEPS" Episode 94 (Part II)
13.) Damian & Vladimir plotting to up the ante against Florencia. Vladimir tells big bro that he knows Ubaldo over at Prolasa & going to help him out with the dude to take the fall.

14.) Over at Prolasa: we see Ubaldo & Jaime having a coffee break & Ubaldo has a way on convincing Jaime to getting out of the current situation he's in.

15.) Psycho Barbara doing the most epic Oscar-worthy Best Actress performance on STUPID & Gullible Daddy Elizalde. I am surprised Lucero never got the Oscar for Best Actress LOL.

16.) Over at Casa Santorro: Steve, Jr., reading the letter that Fernanda wrote to Eduardo from 20+ years ago.

17.) Just as I predicted: Nagging Gardenia snooping & listening to private conversation between Eduardo & Steve, Jr.,

18.) In the meantime at Grupo Lactos: Vlad runs into Florencia. Florencia picks up some documents (which are now messed up) & she gives Vlad the SNUB.

19.) Over at Prolasa: the plot to frame Florencia continues.

20.) It seems that Rolando will have Florencia arrested & put in federal prison for espionage & other crimes.

21.) Psycho Barbara goes to Artemio's new mansion somewhere in Mexico City. She informs him she's got the entire Elizalde family in the palm of her hands.

22.) Following his conversation with Damian, Vlad figures out that Damian didn't back to Fernanda out of love, but only for self-interest.

23.) We see Santiago & Aurora praying inside the private Elizalde family chapel somewhere on the grounds of the Elizalde Mansion.

24.) Jackass #1 Annibal gives Damian the dagger stare. It seems these two NEVER liked each other.

25.) Nagging Gardenia still obsessed with Eduardo, who's losing his mind over being rejected by the Redhead Fernanda.

 

QT #47

UA, they did not omit the bar scene, but I did. There was a lot of other stuff, and I didn't think it advanced the plot. I tend to leave out long conversations that don't go anywhere. Barnyard animals, on the other hand, HAVE to be pointed out. :D

ITA on Val's earrings, as well as that weird red poufy/scrunchy-sleeved top. Whatever happened to "I'm more comfortable in these old clothes"? You'd think she could at least afford a pair of boots, instead of watering the horses in high heels.

"MEPS" Episode 95 (Part III)
26.) The look on Jackass #1 Annibal's face when Daddy Elizalde announced Damian gets his job back at Grupo Lactos.

27.) It also means BAD NEWS for STUPID Florencia, who's almost certainly going to get fired AGAIN LOL.

28.) Vladimir still working for Grupo Lactos: but how for long ?

29.) More nagging from Jackass #1 Annibal as Damian gloats about a possible honeymoon with Fernanda.

30.) Jackass #1 Annibal begging Daddy Elizalde NOT to put Damian in charge of the Finance Division. Good luck with that buddy.

31.) Steve, Jr., telling Eduardo to SUCK IT UP & deal with the fact Franco is an ALLY of Fernanda, nothing more.

32.) Nagging Gardenia still damn ANNOYING: Fast Forward.

33.) Boring Aurora: you're going to get the EVIL sucker-punch from Jackass #2 Camilo & Psycho Barbara soon.

34.) Psycho Barbara paying the witch $$$.

35.) Artemio Bravo still scheming & plotting against the Elizalde's & Co.,

36.) Padre Bosco wants the assistance of Silvestre (Martina's Daddy) in solving the mystery of Ana Gregoria, the mother of Artemio Bravo.

37.) Clingy Erika & her Mommy eating yogurts: Hmm Ok.

38.) Silvestre is visited by Martina & Eduardo/Franco. I wonder how long before Silvestre puts 2 & 2 together that Franco Santorro is really Eduardo Juarez ?

 

QT #48 Part 1 of 4

Luisa came home to collect her things and go back home to her hometown.

Val asked Leo whether they had plans to marry before her accident. He said they had talked about it. He started to kneel to propose but she stopped him, wanting to wait until her memories were in order. He said he had hopes. Tito was nearby, stalking him with his grandfather's gun. Val said Sandy told her they had but she wanted to make sure that this is what they both wanted. He said he had always wanted to. [Really?]

Luisa told Art she felt his daughters and ex-wife hate her, etc., and couldn't live there anymore. He claimed that she was the only woman he wanted, finally telling her he wanted another child with her. Sandy stood in the doorway and listened, hearing him swear to this. Art kissed Luisa and she kissed him back. Sandy looked sad but said nothing.

Leo kissed Val's hand, gave her the roses, and started to leave, but turned around and mentioned the boy she and Matt defended. Tito was directly behind him but Leo had no clue. Val saw Tito and when Leo hugged her she motioned for the boy to hide. He ducked under a wrecked wagon until Leo was out of sight.

Matt and Esme talked about his most recent fight with Sandy who had said that it was disrespectful to Dalia to look for his birth parents. Esme told him “Your true other is who raised you. Your real mother is Dalia and no other is better than she.” He commented on his (non-existent) cousin and Esme told him that Don Patricio had treated him (Matt) well. “Maybe, but it hurts to know he deceived you.” He asked her if she knew a good lawyer and then explained why.

Sabina tried to explain to Angelita that Tirso is a bit sick [mentally] so they could not live with him. This was for her protection. Ange had heard others talk about the pills. Sab told her she took the pills to appear sick, etc., and Ange was alright.

Matt and Juanito talked about Sandy's wedding plans, including Art's plan to block the main street. Matt asked if Juanito was bringing a date and he said he would ask Camila. Matt teased him a little about that.

Sandy told Eva about what she overheard and Eva called Luisa an illiterate donkey for this. She wanted to chew Art out but Sandy talked her out of it. Berenice was in her room, not talking to either of them. Eva was upset at all this, sarcastically saying “so it's all my fault.” Berenice came through, saying she was going shopping. Sandy told Berenice everyone was talking about her. Berenice didn't care as she walked out. Eva then had reason for concern when Sandy talked about eventually living in the hacienda. Sandy, who up until then had not done much toward deciding a direction for her life.

Val put the roses in a vase. Matt was not pleased at hearing that they came from Leo. He got sarcastic at the prospect of Val becoming First Lady of Rosario. She told him she hadn't accepted the proposal yet and did not care about the inheritance; that was all on Leo. They had a brief argument and Matt went on his way.

 

QT #48 Part 2 of 4

Servando handed the diary to Dalia; it looked like it was missing more pages. He then mentioned /Tito. Dalia feigned ignorance. Servando referred to Tito as garbage and walked away. Dalia put the diary on a shelf. Aaron arrived and Dalia said she wanted to find Matt's birth parents. Aaron siad they had died in a fire. Dalia told him that Don Patricio had not confirmed this at the time. She appeared to have a headache or something and Aaron became concerned. She said it was nothing. Aaron repeated his answer, but had difficulty looking Dalia in the eye. He told her that this would be very difficult.

Esme and Camila drank some bubbly with Magdalena to see her off to her new job. They drank to making up for lost time.

Art and Leo talked about their political future, the cost of propaganda, etc. Leo talked about house to house campaigning, kissing babies, etc. Art implied that this was a PITA, but with a laugh. Leo asked a favor: Take Basurto out of circulation. He didn't explain why [but we know] and Art said that would be difficult. Baurto knows too much. He said he would talk to him.

Magdalena modeled her new work clothes (flowered dress and full-length white apron) for Dalia who handed her Val's diary to read. Matt returned with groceries, saying it was good to prepare the truth for Val.... who heard that lat bit as she was entering the kitchen. She asked “What truth? What are you talking about?”

Tirso was flipping his Zippo as Eva brought in his clean laundry. He was angry at Sab preventing him from seeing Ange. He was also determined to have Sab “por las buenas o por las malas.” [My gut says we will have an arson case very soon.]

Dalia covered up by saying that Magdalena found the diary as she arrived. Magda gave it to Val, who was happy and said they would talk later. After she left Matt asked why they were hesitating. “Why not tell the truth now?”

Val saw Matt outside and after a few trips and bumps they made up. Tito came out of a stall and Matt scolded him for not having been in Dalia's house where he would be safe. Tito went on about Matt and Sandy and Matt became irritated with him.

Aaron visited Esme to warn her about the challenge to Don Patricio's will. The money given to her for Ange was mentioned in the case Minnie and Leo were presenting. He said he needed to know if that money was mentioned in the will [My bet is that it wasn't.]

Matt told Dalia that Tito was a smart-ass kid who said that all adults are liars. They had a brief argument that ended with her saying “Everyone has secrets. That's not a sin.” and him asking “What about you? What secrets do you have from me? Do you know who my parents were? Is that what you're hiding from me?” She slapped him.

Val looked through the diary. More pages seemed to be missing and we didn't see any photos. Magda was outside her door listening to her frustrated turning of the damaged pages and started to cry. Val realized and said things were missing, just like her memories. Magda exxcused herself and closed the door on the way out.
 

QT #48 Part 3 of 4

Dalia apologized to Matt with a speech about how else to explain that nobody came looking for him since then, etc. She admitted being guilty of not investigating and just taking Don Patricio's word that he was an orphan. He started crying and apologized.

Leo came home and found Magda looking like a 1950s TV housewife. He got nasty with her, then offered her money to leave. She declined and said she was not leaving. Val entered just in time to hear the G word and demanded to know what this was about. “This woman is a nobody” he said. “You want me to tell her who I am?” Magda asked.

Matt made coffee and called Dalia, who did not enter or answer. Tito called him. Dalia was passed out on the bedroom floor.

Leo ordered Magda off the ranch. Val intervened and asked her to leave them alone. Magda closed the door behind her and Val accused Leo of being a snob. He said that Magda had a horrible past and Val asked if he thought that gave him the right to humiliate her. She pointed to what he told her of her own past and corrected his attempt at saying that this was different. “Respect is respect and if you are incapable of respecting a woman I can't trust you. How can you expect me to marry you?” Magda stood outside listening as Val told him she knew him less every day and needed to know what kind of person he was. She left him alone in the den, asking Magda to “forgive that; it's not about you.” After she left Magda entered the den and said “We have to talk.”

 

QT #48 Part 4 of 4

Matt sent Tito for his cell.

Camila missed Magda and Esme said it was good that Magda had found her missing daughter. They speculated on who Esme's secret admirer was.

A newcomer arrived in town with a single suitcase. He looked around the square and walked on.

Aaron came to Dalia's rescue. Tito was blaming himself for this, but Dalia said it was not his fault. Matt blamed himself for upsetting her. He took Tito out of the room.

Leo and Magda exchanged ugly words. He said Val would be offended at the P word but she showed him the Reward poster for information about the disappearance/death of one of the men who stole Don Patricio's corpse. She told him Basurto gave it to her. She walked out. Blue delusion of Don Patricio warning him that mothers become lionesses when protecting their cubs. More dangerous than a loaded firearm. Insults were exchanged.

Thanks for the recaps, very helpful in tracking the action.

Scene of Padre G's confession was very dramatic and traumatic.

Good that Magda is now wearing work clothes that don't expose her bosom to every passerby.
She seems to be able to take on Leo and defend her place.

Val's earrings look bigger than diaper pins. More like horse blanket pins. The red blouse would work as 1890's leg'o'mutton sleeves.

Oooh, a stranger in town! Now a new ingredient enters the mix.

Dalia's health is hanging by a thread. And Tirso isn't doing so well either.

I liked Tito making faces at Leo behind his back.

Mateo can put on the sweetest expressions. He was ready to shed tears with Dalia.

QT #48

Mateo is operating in Sunk Cost Fallacy mode. He's been with Sandy so long that he can't see dumping her even when a better prospect comes along.

Sandy has no direction in life. She is looking to marry someone who indulges her whims and probably thinks that she can lead Matt around by his hormones and con everything she wants out of him via sex. She is of no value to her community. She seems loyal to her sister and mother but has no real females friends. It would be amusing if she ended up in a convent.

QT #49, Part 1

- Mat runs into Vale in the market and ends up helping her pick out clothes for Tito. The vendor says their little boy must be adorable with such good-looking parents.

- Art is disappointed when the priest-boss leaves without disciplining Padre Gabo.

- Val sees Mat & Sandy picking out wedding flowers and looks like she smelled a fart. Oh, wait: she always looks like that.

- Bere is holed up in her room, unable to sleep and refusing to eat. (How long til those ugly pants fall right off?) Chacho slips in as Eva is leaving and tells her the padre isn't worth her tears, and that she is a beautiful person inside and out. Obviously he sees something we don't. Has she ever even smiled at the poor sap?

- The new guy in town shows up at the pension and wows Eva with his pretty face and Castilian accent. She asks how long he plans to stay, and he says "hopefully forever."

- Val meets up with Remi, who wants to tell her about her past. She says her heart says to trust him, but her head says not to. The conversation goes nowhere.
 

QT #49, Part 2

- Minnie catches Mags going through Val's dresser and drags Dalia out of her sickbed to tattle. Lots of drama with people going in and out of doors. Min and Sab say Mags has to go; Val says no way and Leo backs her up. Val dismisses Sabina with a very imperious thrust of her chin. Now where did she learn that?

- Luisa tries to sob in the padre's arms, but he tells her she needs to come to confession if she wants to chat.

- Sab telephones someone and says they need to meet in "the usual place."

- Remi tells Bere that Padre Gabo got in hot water with the bigwigs. She tries to run off to the church, but he tells her that if she really loved him she'd STOP CAUSING HIM ALL THESE PROBLEMS.

- Eva brings Luisa a pair of booties and congratulates her on her baby-making plans. She hopes she gets pregnant right away -- that is to say, all fat and tired and irritable and stretch-marky -- and Artemio starts cheating on her, too.
 

QT #49, Part 3

- Handsome Stranger pays Lorenzo to deliver flowers to Esme "just like before," so presumably he is her secret admirer.

- Tito wants Mat to teach him to ride so he can get across the border to search for his mother.

- Tirso is spotted on the hacienda and Leo hands out pistols like party favors and tells all the boys -- including Mateo -- to "shoot to kill." (Is he allowed to do that? Beanie, beanie, who's got their beanie?)

- Tito shows Ange a live tarantula in a jar. For a kid who's got nothing, he sure comes up with a lot of random stuff. That must be Mary Poppins' backpack.

 

QT #49, Part 4

- Tirso strolls into the barn looking for Sab, but she sneaks up behind him and brains him with a shovel. Then she goes all Bond-villain and yaks on and on about what a loser he is and what she's going to do to him, giving him the opportunity to overpower her and put a pistol to her head. Mat shows up and tries to talk him down. Everybody else shows up and points their guns at him, but they can't shoot because Mat's in the way. Val sobs theatrically.

- Tito hides from Leo in the house, but he drops his jar and it breaks. Leo approaches Tito's hiding place while the tarantula approaches Leo. Fun!!!

Tirso has really lost it and has become dangerously irrational.

Aaron needs to tell somebody the truth; this has gone too far.

Too soon to figure out who the new dude is for. Any thoughts?

Tirso is becoming irrational. No telling where this will end.

Tito expanding on his sad story. Cute new clothes!

Not sure if the tarantula and broken jar have enough potential for real damage to Leo. One can only hope.

I think Matt and Val will end up adopting Tito and raising him along with Angelita at the end of this story.
